The sound of bullets hitting targets echoes in the empty training grounds but it’s far too late into the night for it to actually cause a disturbance. Jaebum leans against the wall, hidden in the shadows as he watches the scene in front of him unfold on its own. Eyes skim through every moment with an observant gaze and making sure to take everything in great detail, not wanting to miss out on anything. 

“Lower your dominant arm a fourth of an inch and raise your other arm by half an inch.” He says, finally breaking the silence but refusing to step into the light. Not just yet. “If you hold the gun with both your arms at the same level, it’ll be more difficult for you to hit targets that aren’t facing you head on.” 

His voice sounds stern but also tinged with care and concern - almost like a parent guiding a child. But who is to say that he isn’t a father and the young man standing in front of him isn’t his son? They might not be related by blood but something even stronger bonds them together. “It’s late. Why are you still here, Ricky-pooh?”

Steak for breakfast 😋🥩 You know.. Keeping it simple can keep seem boring but if your remember that you are nourishing and fueling your body, it helps. . Don't get me wrong. After losing 100 pounds I know that a lot of people eat for fun or out of comfort. It's just what humans do. Or can do. . It feels good to eat. Your brain releases neurochemicals and it makes you happy at a certain point of the eating process. Which can be different times for different people depending on how extreme you have used food as a coping mechanism. . What do I mean? . Iean food addiction is real. It affects your limbic system and for some people you may not get that fulfilling happy vibe until a prolonged period of continuous eating. Which can be dangerous. . in my experience with keto and intermittent fasting I have at least balanced put my association in hunger hormones. But the act of eating sometimes can be scary after a lifetime of using it as a coping mechanism. . I have had to work through so much on this journey. I've come to realize there are EMOTIONS behind the turning to of food... Bleh. . Sounds like a lot, right? It is.. . But, I am living proof, that even through the hormonal balancing, limbic system/food addiction awareness, and emotional awareness there is hope. There's a lot of cliffs you can jump off of to name yourself "incurable", but, if you keep pressing through, keep pressing in, you can defy the odds. You are not a diagnosis. You are not your addiction. . You are a resilient human who can adapt if you so choose. It's all in your brain. Will you continue to fire up the same emotions and beliefs systems or will you fight to create new brain pathways as you walk to the future self you wish to be? . Curious about what I mean?
