Creator!Reader, known to the mutants and humans as the First Mutant and a creator of the universe, ends up assigning the characters a Panic! At The Disco song or one from Fall Out Boy or Imagine Dragons or Queen or even Elton John. Imagine how well that goes. Just. Imagine that. Or them listening to Reader sing from the other side of the void/universe/during a dream visit one of those songs...

Sleepy Kunikida headcanons

two posts, one night! ...maybe i need to stop drinking coffee at night

☆apparently this man manages to get 7 hours of sleep almost every night?? (again, this is what someone says the guidebooks say and im too fucking lazy to confirm that :p)

☆i bet he has a whole fucking ritual he does before he sleeps and the only times he doesn't adhere to that ritual is when he is so tired that he is falling asleep standing up

☆he's got everything covered, face masks, showers, skin care, the whole works

☆he'll be nice and he won't make you adhere to his complex ritual, he knows that not everyone likes doing that stuff, but he will make sure that you at least brush your teeth before you fall asleep

☆but if you also have a complex ritual you do before you sleep? gossip time! Kunikida may be strict about being professional but that doesn't stop him from eavesdropping on his co-workers, and he has heard some damn good drama going on

☆he tries to make sure you get a full 7 hours of sleep, but say you have insomnia or just have a really hard time falling asleep, he'll understand and he won't push you to get that full 7 hours

☆he will ask that you try sleeping medicine for at least a week though, he's just worried about your health, it's not good to stay awake for that long. if they don't work for you, or you refuse to keep taking this bc they give you nightmares, he won't push you to take them anymore

☆i feel like he is a snuggle bug, but he won't admit it. he'll fall asleep on his back, giving you your space, but within 30 minutes of him falling asleep, his arms around around your waist and his head is nuzzled into your shoulders

☆he probably also snores, but not like that loud ass dad snore, the more comforting small snores where it has to be silent to be able to hear them

☆also, insomniac or not, your ass is staying in bed with him. he doesn't care if you read a book, watch tv, or whatever activity you like to do before sleeping, he wants you to be in bed with him

☆poor baby has paranoia from all the trauma he's endured while working at the agency, if he wakes up and you're not in bed with him, he will start to panic

☆he'll be smart and look around the house to see if you just got up to use the bathroom or make yourself a snack or whatever the fuck you do before he really lets that panic settle in

☆please reassure this man, or at least give him a hug if you do this to him

Day 13: RISE

For this prompt, I decided to draw the Pillar Men (left to right) Esidisi, Wamuu, and Kars after they rise from their centuries-long slumber (AWAKEN MY MASTERS)

If their positioning looks familiar, it's because I based it off of the cover of Bohemian Rhapsody XP

I know this piece was a bit delayed, but I promise there was good reason! I ran out of black ink and I had to wait until I was able to go to the store and get some more. Pretty much one of the only downsides of traditional art :P

Edit: I wasn't super happy with how my camera blurred Kars' face, so I tried a scanning app for the first time and added it to this post. What do you guys think? Should I scan all of my art in the future?

a  party  boy  for  sure…  he's  impulsive  and  practices  frequent  self-destruction  bc  he’s  bored  &  likes  2  push  limits,  which  makes  him  either  the  best  companion  during  a  late  night  rendezvous  or  the  worst  one,  depending  on  who  u  are loves  wearing  black  clothes....  but  he  has  this  particular  attachment  to  this  worn-out  band  t-shirt  (1992  bohemian  rhapsody  shirt)  he  got  from  his  grandmother  that  he  absolutely  refuses  to  part  w/,  no  matter  how  many  holes  it  develops  ... gum  chewer  🤢  always  seems  to  be  chewing  on  gum  ...  never  runs  out  of  gum!?!?!?! serial  napper...  he's  a  sleepy  guy!!!  could  literally  nap  anywhere.  whether  its  curled  up  in  a  dark  corner  of  the  rehearsal  room,  draped  over  a  beanbag  backstage,  or  even  standing  against  the  wall,  he's  almost  always  comfortable  enough  to  fall  asleep smokes  too...  it  keeps  him  calm! this  mf  has  a  tendency  to  put  things  off  until  the  last  minute...  honestly?  it  probably  stresses  everyone  out  that  being  said,  he  has  a  knack  for  finding  the  most  efficient  and  effortless  ways  to  get  shit  done

riddle was raised by his mother to obey all the rules and become a great success. because of all this force on him as a child he grew up with the same mind set. he ends up staying in the town and with his mother and he becomes a docter. his first kill was purely by accident, he failed a surgery for the first time. and in the split moment the heartbeat moniter stopped he realized, he was in complete control of these peoples lives. they put their trust into someone they didn’t even know. despite his mother yelling at him for failing, riddle finds joy in having peoples lives in the palm of his hand. so easy to just let go of it, isn’t it?

riddle starts to tinker with his victims, not killing them. that would raise suspicions and accusations from the families. but he would make one little slip up, and the moniter would beep a single time, stretching out. then he would snap out of it, fixing the problem so the moniter starts beeping again. the calming beeps to calm everyone in the room.

ace grew up normal, except for the fact that his parents would always be gone on a business trip. he would be left with his brother to take care of him, and they would look at things online. like weird things, as in people getting run over and bloody stuff. ace and his brother had a strange fascination with gore. he didn’t grow out of it and it followed him through out his life. when he moved out he had a revelation that he could do whatever he wanted. ace eventually started attracting attention from others, which lead him to having a unhealthily high amount of self worth. he believes he’s so hot that he can make anyone fall for him. and when he gets then in his apartment he murders them.

his first kill wasn’t an accident at all. he was exploring different kinks, and this happened to be a gun one. ace contemplated just pulling the trigger, he might have said it wasn’t loaded, but forgive him for lying. or don’t, it doesn’t matter since they can’t speak anymore.

trey has a kink for people eating his food, he loves to see people smile and praise him on his baking skills. he was forced to take care of his siblings and hated how he wasn’t allowed to be a normal kid and had to look after his siblings from a young age. one day, one of his siblings accidentally cut their finger trying to cut a tart. some of their blood got splashed on the tart and trey had to kiss it better. some of their blood got on his lips and for the sake of his sibling, he licked it off so they wouldn’t see it. after sending them off to bed with a bandaid, trey thought back. blood didn’t taste that bad, and on a tart it could be better.

trey ate the part of the tart that had blood on it. it didn’t taste bad. this is where he kills someone, to add their blood to his pasteries. trey found that the tarts flavor are inhanced, he especially loves mixing blood with a thin jelly. and when someone asks he lables it as ‘special sauce.’

like ace, cater adores being loved. but he doesn’t love anyone else but himself, he likes the idea of being loved. his sisters practically used him for their happiness and forced him into doing things like eating sweets they made. because of his neglectedness, he seduces people he thinks look cool and makes them fall for him. but he has so many people crowding him, so no one really seems special to him anymore. one of his bitches might have mentioned something about loving sweets. which didn’t sit right with him. so he had to get rid of them. he probably staks his victims for some time to.

cater takes a final picture with each of his victims before he kills them. he says, “aw, look, it’s our final picture together.” and refuses to elborate, but they can hear him anymore so it doesn’t matter. cater prints out the picture and puts it into a scrap book. he writes their full name and writes what he “loved” about them.

deuce never grew out of his delinquent faze. but when he heard his mother crying over the phone he held up a facade in order to please her. however, at night he becomes a completely different person. he beats people to death. something about being in control of the situation and knowing what’ll happen next makes him feel powerful. deuce first killed someone by accident, it wasn’t exactly him, it was his order. someone had bullied him about being a ‘mamas boy’ at school, when he couldn’t do anything. but at night he went out through the window and ordered his goons to beat the person up. he loved getting his revenge. and he marked it off as defending his mother.

deuce believes he’s not doing anything wrong if he’s only killing people who deserve it. but for some reason it feels wrong to tell his mother. but, if the world around you is tough, you have to toughen up as well.

Bohemian Rhapsody 7″ vinyl Test Pressing

Today - October 16th 1975.

Bohemian Rhapsody. Die hard vinyl collectors know that the very early test pressings of records came in two separate vinyls, one for each side of a single or LP. The matching white standard covers were usually marked the matrix numbers written on it. But beside this you also find a date, which was the date the record was actually pressed for test purposes.

On the picture you see the original Bohemian Rhapsody 1 sided 7″ test pressing with its matching “I’m in love with car” cover and vinyl. These one sided test pressings were pressed in very few quantities and given to band members and management to check quality before authorizing the run of the pressing of the copies to be released.

This special copy is so unique as it was Freddie’s; it was then given to Jim Hutton, his last partner. It also have the Freddie’s handwriting on the label of the A side. He “just” wrote Bohemian Rhapsody. I can’t imagine how happy he was to finally see its creature ready to conquer the music world!!

And in the above picture the USA Elektra original 7″ vinyl test pressing of Bohemian Rhapsosy, printed on dec. 3rd 1975.

Dead Boys Detectives - A Review...Almost

May contain spoilers. If you haven't watched it, don't read it!

Out on the 25th of April, inspired in the creation of Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner for DC Comics, the "Dead Boy Detectives" were my company in the past 2 days. Made solely the now usual 8 episode, this Netflix show is oddly entertaining.

Surrounded with magic, love, friendships and cats, Edwin and his unalived friend, Charles, are the investigators one should look for if you have unfinished business while you're staying in the limbo.

Edwin "The Brain" Payne and Charles "The Brawn" Rowland are ghosts and to avoid their afterlives, they help others find their peace once and for all. Using some books and finding new truths, they go and save the day...with some help.

But we'll get back to that soon!

Let me go on and tell you what I thought about these two boys.

Starting with Edwin, I thought he was going to be a sad stereotype on a tormented gay man who lives an unrequited love and falls apart. However, this stereotype is almost broken with only his behavior towards other characters. Despite his love for Charles, he isn't encapsulated by it. He shows affection to Monty, who actually falls for the detective and the most satisfying moment of the show is how he bids farewell to Cat King. A kiss on the cheek, Edwin? How cheeky of you!

However, Edwin also behaves differently towards the girls. But the reasons are quite obvious. Crystal is a possible threat towards his relationship with Charles, Niko isn't. Then again, Crystal makes his constant search for knowledge almost irrelevant in some cases, while Niko questions him, looking for answers with him and comforts him. Possibly why Niko's death affected him so much, she was a big supporter of his methods and the one who would balance the ideas of everyone.

Not to mention, Niko is a delight!

Now, Charles probably a better character than what I expected, to be honest. I never expect much from the main characters, but sometimes I am surprised. This detective has another mission at his hands besides escaping Death's grip. He wants to fix his wrongs, prove himself and the world wrong.

Charles puts on the table some themes from the 80's that have been discussed before in Pop Culture, such as the conflict between Pakistan and India. Maybe it passed from our brains but in "Bohemian Rhapsody", we see a young Farrokh Bulsara - later known as the immortal Freddie Mercury - being called a "Paki", a slur often directed to Pakistan or South Asian descendants. Once again, we see it in the "Dead Boy Detectives", Charles being hated upon for being a South Asian descendant - probably from India, if memory does not fail me. Yet, if you look for the actual Charles Rowland from the DC Comics Universe, he isn't a South Asian boy, which surprised me a little, but in a positive way. It's not every day we get South Asian representations like these in our shows and they made it pretty amazingly. I am in no place to say anything on this matter, but from a white perspective, I thought it'd be worse.

On another note, something that pained me about Charles was how he passed and his life. I mean, obviously, it's death of a delight boy, how could it not hurt? But the cruelty and the solitude and suffering almost beats Edwin's death, in a way. Whatever Edwin suffered in Hell, Charles probably lived it. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, but you get me, right? The detective passed peacefully in his sleep, accompanied by his best friend, who stuck around until his last breath. How heartbreaking.

It truly pulled a string of my heart, but I'm sure you'll know what I mean once you watch the show.

Moving on! Crystal Palace was known for it's changing structure, that could be carried from city to city in order to hold the great exhibitions in England in the early 1800's.

Don't worry, I am not insane, because it'll make sense. Even more if I tell you that this amazing Palace burned down in London, in 1936. Which is the same city where we meet our dear psychic medium, Crystal Palace. A quirky girl at her prime, initially possessed by her demonic ex boyfriend - Ugh, always these guys - who stole her memory and left her clueless with two ghosts to deal with.

Her help became almost crucial to speed up some cases, but even I had to team up with Edwin on being skeptical on her. I mean, out of nowhere she joins and gets to help? I know you're dead, but at least get to know the girl. However, these doubts start to disappear as time goes by and we actually get to know her.

Trusting both her gut and the boys, Crystal shows us that she is more than just a medium, she is almost a diplomat who communicates and unites both the living and the dead. She is also constantly ready to find solutions and trinkets for any problem that my be ahead, which funny enough is one of Charles talents, to use his trinkets to fix problems. What a cute couple!

Delightful couple in fact! Crystal's understanding spirit is probably something that makes Charles love her more than just her "mint" body. After all, they rely on each other for support and affection from the very beginning, always trying to figure out and communicating what they are feeling, be it good or bad.

On the other hand, we learn that Crystal is more than just a medium. Her powers didn't come from David, but herself. It was almost rewarding to learn that it wasn't just a demon, but Crystal that was powerful. Plus, it was passed to her by her ancestors. So could she actually be a witch? Would she be a divine creature? We should stick around and find out. Or maybe... investigate?
