You possibly took a lover to bed and because of that, you saw them die in front of you. Your sister in law and your nephew are dead. You are forced to join Duncan and leave your parents to their death.

You can't go seek revenge, not for the longest part. Every noble you meet recognizes you and every time you are reminded that your family is dead. You don't know where Fergus is but he might as well be dead. You only have your dog, your family shield and sword and your grief. You're constantly being asked if you lost someone dear, or being asked about your family and until sometime ago, your answer was not so full of pain.

You hear gossip about how the situation is in Highever and you're reminded that you can't go back home and even if you could, everything you knew and loved would not be the same. You're not the same. The last vision you see of your father, he tells you need to move forward and let go of the grief. that his death shouldn't hold you back.
