After all, the god sounds exactly the way his abuela does when commenting on some of the town gossip. She always clicks her tongue and gives him advice on how to (or, more often, how not to) behave afterwards. But she never uses words that big. He squeezes his eyes shut and replays what he just heard in her voice. The shape of meaning begins to form. Fuzzy and distant, it warps into something he can almost feel on his fingertips. It’s like the downy feathers of the malformed wings sprouting from his brother’s back. But that’s a sensation he’s only able to bear for a few seconds at a time. So he opens his eyes and sighs a long, heavy, defeated sigh. 

     “Okay,” he mumbles with a slump of his shoulders. He doesn’t feel particularly happy about agreeing with the god. Again, his brows pinch together. It doesn’t feel good to say just that and leave the topic. But what else can he say? There’s no reassuring hand on his shoulder or a familiar voice telling him to repeat after them like the services held each Sunday. And what the god has just said sounds an awful lot like that sort of grown-up talk. Definite, final, judgment passed before an action even occurred. Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not steal. Honor thy father and thy mother. Do not eat out where they can see, for their reverence will turn to fear. Thou shalt not lie. Thou art blinded by immediate self interest. 

      inside a hollow chasm shaped like a sternum, the tumor grumbles, and the boy feels a slight twinge somewhere between the slots of his left ribcage. 

     He raises his gaze, brown eyes glimmering with the radiant sunlight. He studies his elder’s face so grandiosely haloed by the beaming sun. It reminds him of the pictures of marble carvings he likes to look at in his mother’s collection of big, thick books. His fingers twitch with the sudden need to trace down the smooth line of the god’s cheek. “Okay,” he repeats, a bit more slowly, as if he’s testing how it tastes, “what else are they s’pposed to see? They have to look at that, because, um, you have to…” he trails off, floundering in faulty memory. He licks his lips. A faint tang of iron bursts across his tongue. “...you have to… to walk in the narrow way…” 

     And as soon as he says that, he realizes he doesn’t know what it means just as he doesn’t know what his companion means. He doesn’t know what any of it means. His lips remain parted, but he makes no sound. A warm breeze rustles through the dry grass and his wild cowlicks of hair. His gaze follows its invisible path. The sun nearly blinds him when he looks all the way up. A smile breaks through the clouds of uncertainty and fear that had gathered on Crane’s face. ��Okay!” he chirps, entirely confident in agreeing now. “Well, I don’t see my, uh– immediate self interest-” (and his chest puffs out in pride when he’s able to repeat that long phrase without faltering once) “-right now. I see you. I like seeing you.” He bounces back on his heels, arms swinging back and forth to maintain balance. “What do you look at, mister god? That’s okay to ask, right? ‘Cause you’re not most people, right?”

You ever just like. Gender does not and cannot apply to me. I am so far removed from the human concepts of gender and perception it is not on this plane of thought. My gender is so far outside of our 3D it falls into the furthest dimension possible. An infinitely far dimension if you will. It can’t be perceived by anyone who is not on the same plane of consciousness as myself in my original form.

Fuck. I just realized that Vogel might well have been the one behind the police files on Violet's case disappearing in the first place. This line, "I'm failing to be of much help," his delivery of it, the seemingly innocuous question about the "precious information" and even the way this scene is framed...

I mean, we all know Vogel was stirring the shit from day one, but the possibility didn't even occur to me because I just assumed Mycroft had something to do with the missing files. Now that I think about it, though, there are way too many inconsistencies..

Why would Mycroft remove the files but not the folder that contained them or the crime scene report? He even left the judge’s letter (evidence of bribery) intact at the manor. I don't think he'd ever be careless enough to leave them behind if he truly wanted to cover the tracks, and he sure has the means to erase an entire room full of evidence from existence if he wanted to. I assume he also has some level of influence/control over what gets published in the news, so why would he remove the files but still allow the Chronicle to report about the investigation and completely contrdict the tuberculosis narrative by saying "cause of death unknown" ? If Sherlock happened to read it, it would raise all kinds of alarm bells...

All this to say.. I don’t think Mycroft intended to dispose of any physical evidence besides hiding the truth itself from his brother, I think he just wanted to take him out of that place at all costs and as soon as possible. Maybe he was confident in his ability to keep it all in Cordona and keep Sherlock away from it ? (especially with Sherry’s post-traumatic amnesia and Jon helping tremendously with that) I like this interpretation because it shows how despite all his careful planning and foresight, he was deeply affected by what happened and too tired to account for a future possibility in which Sherlock might want to revisit the past and investigate. I imagine he must be beating himself up over this oversight because all those breadcrumbs he unwittingly left behind eventually helped Sherlock piece everything together...

On the other hand, I can definitely see Vogel hiring someone (like when he hired a random guy to pretend to be a sailor) to relocate or get rid of the files to further complicate things for Sherlock and string him along, or to prove to him that systems, institutions, and even society as a whole reject the truth and reject it so vigorously that they're willing to alter or erase records to suppress it.

Heck, Vogel might well have wanted Sherlock to believe it WAS Mycroft because bonus points if he managed to destabilize Sherlock's mental state AND fuel the feud with his brother.

Removing the files or relocating some of them to the “discarded document drawers” but keeping an empty folder with big bold letters stating “The Case of Violet Holmes” does give strong vibes of someone deliberately trying to lead (or mislead) Sherlock rather than a poor attempt at evidence disposal, or even vandalism or mishap on the police’s part, for that matter.

That would also be the perfect way for Vogel to ensure Sherlock is locked onto the "Sisyphus to Ozymandias" path, because if Sherlock found that information was being deliberately suppressed, it'd trigger his obsessive need to pursue it until he's uncovered the whole truth...

Hajime is Dr. Romani. This is going to connect with Izuru later. But still, of course Hajime is one of the dealy beloved human characters of Fgo.

Chiaki is Frankenstein's Monster (call her Fran). She looks great and all but besides the love of electricity and childlike mannerisms, not sure Chiaki fits Fran's animal like berserkness and tragic need for love.

Mahiru is Boudica. I can say for certainty this is solely due to Red hair and mother like qualities. Pretty sure we shouldn't compare Mahiru to someone whose entire purpose in Fgo is being that meme person who really hates the Roman Empire (ironically the founder of Rome is her best partner in battle), has big boobs, has a terrible skillset in battle, and is defined by her backstory of losing the war against the Roman Empire and had to watch her daughters be relentlessly raped by them before most likely being forced to join them which lead to her falling into despair and killing herself.

Ibuki is Nobunaga. This is solely cuz of the amount of fourth wall breaking chibi style comedic relief and crazy hijinks. (Nobu Nobu Nobu? Nobu Nobu Nobu Nobu Nobu! Nobu? Nobu Nobu! Nobu...)

Mikan is Skadi. I have no idea why. What does shy and clumsy as fuck Mikan have in common with a wise nordic giantess with insecurities about being single and unmarried?

Hiyoko is BB. BB and Hiyoko might both be detestable trollish pieces of shit who keep fucking people over and getting away with it, but comparing Hiyoko to essentially AI Junko Enoshima on crack is a bit too far.

Kazuichi is Nikola Tesla. Electricity. Master Inventor. Eccentric mofo. I approve.

Sonia is Marie Antoinette. Princess/Queen like character. I can see that. (Tho we should also try to look out for Marie Alter cuz that bitch is crazy as fuck and wants everyone to experience how it felt when the guillotine beheaded her). Tho Sonia wishes she was as much a cinnamon roll as Marie.

Gundham is Ozymandias/Rameses II. Boisterous mofos collide. I approve. (Sidenote: Ozy is voiced by Dio. KONO OZY DA!!!)

Izuru is of course Dr. Roman's true identity as King Solomon, King and Progenitor of All Magic. All magic apparently stems from him, motherfuckers. All hail the character we will never get and wish he would come back.

Nagito is Edmund Dantes. Only cuz of Memes based on similar looks. Nagito has nothing on Dantes's year long pursuit for revenge. Tho I guess they both were "saved" by the woman they loved most in the world.

Twogami is Julius Caesar. Only cuz they are chubby charismatic likeable people.

Peko is Tomoe. FUCK YEAH I APPROVE. Peko would totally be Tomoe. Why do you think I made Tomoe her Persona in my headcanon. It fits her SO MUCH TO A T.

Fuyuhiko is Rama. Why? What does Fuyu have in common with a guy who kills demon kings with an army of monkeys cuz they stole his wife yet was also cursed to die whenever him and his wife would ever meet? (Poor Rama in fgo, all he wants is to be with his wife again but destiny keeps screwing him over by killing him seconds before his wife reaches where he is).

Nekomaru is Iskandar/Alexander the Great. Solely due to being super muscular likeable badass motivators of living a great life. Nekomaru clearly doesn't want to conquer lands and rule the world.

Akane is Francis Drake. Only cuz of giant cleavage window alone. Akane ain't no pirate queen with literal flying sea ships with giant laser cannons.

And Teruteru is Fergus. Only because both of them are a super perverts with mindsets primarily filled only about banging women and having sex. Teru is no ripped Chad with a drill sword that shoots rainbow lasers from the ground. (Sidenote: Fergus's drill sword, Caladbolg, translates to "Hard Blade". Yes it's a dick joke.")

Some Ideas/Headcanons for Abraxasverse GxK!

So, after having seen The New Empire, I already already have quite a few ideas for how it could fit into the Abraxasverse! I’ll write up a more thorough breakdown of how I’d do it sometime soon, but I figured I might as well start with some of the basic ideas. So, here goes!

- Just for a bit of context, I’m going by @zerm2v0hg’s awesome “Clash of Silver” fic as how the Abraxasverse’s version of GvK would’ve played out.

- Since GxK takes place in 2027, I’d have Ladon be officially introduced in 2025 and Shin in 2026 (both as Godzilla clones created by Apex), so they would both play a role in this version. Kiryu’s new body might still be under construction (since it took 5-10 years to build Mechagodzilla in canon, so I don’t know if 3 years would be enough time to finish building his second body after the first one sadly got destroyed in Clash of Silver), so I don’t know if I’d have him play a major role here, but either way his new body’s construction would be overseen by Project Powerhouse, the same division of Monarch that creates Kong’s new gauntlet in the movie. Maybe Ren Serizawa would be in charge of that project in this timeline, now that he’s not working for Apex anymore?

- For the events of The Hunted, I’d probably have it go pretty much the same way as canon, but I do love the idea of having Monster X be the one to go up against the Hunter mech rather than Kong, just because that way they’d be able to give Raymond Martin (aka Dickhead Tech-Bro) a Reasons You Suck speech while beating the crap out of his second-rate Jaeger ripoff.

- Scylla & Tiamat would probably still end up getting into fights with Godzilla or one of his sons, but while Scylla might still end up dying if the events of The Hunted play out similarly here, Tiamat probably wouldn’t, assuming that the potential backstory of her having a connection to Ozymandias is actually Abraxasverse canon.

- To give Godzilla & his allies more to do in the Abraxasverse version of GxK, I feel like it would make sense to incorporate the Xenilla arc into this portion of the timeline. So I’d have him land on the surface and start causing trouble for Team Godzilla at around the same time that Kong discovers Skar King’s hidden empire in the Hollow Earth, which would eventually lead to the final battle being a three-way battle royale between the Scarred Apes’ army (led by Skar King & Shimo), the heroic Titans (particularly Godzilla’s family, Monster X & Kong), and Xenilla.

- In this timeline, instead of Mothra being the guardian Titan of the Hollow-Earth Iwi civilization, it would be Leo. To me, that seems like a perfect way for him to be introduced into the Abraxasverse: as Godzilla & Mothra’s offspring who was born thousands of years ago, took up residence in the Hollow Earth during the Ice Age, and essentially “adopted” the surviving Iwi tribe after Skar King presumably abandoned them at some point. I’d also ditch the “prophecy” angle from the canon movie for Jia and just focus on her other connections with Kong & the Iwi, as Mothra already has a human link in the form of the Chen family.

- Godzilla’s transformation wouldn’t just be a random evolution/powerup; instead, it would be a side effect of his being badly wounded & infected by Xenilla during their first fight. Mothra would narrowly manage to cure & heal him (after taking him to Tiamat’s Arctic lair so he could absorb a bunch of extra radiation to fuel the healing process), but his appearance would still be permanently altered as a result. That’s where the elbow & tail spikes and the new color of his energy would come from, as he’d end up assimilating some of the crystal’s power for himself. As a beneficial side effect, his new form would also be immune to any further infection attempts by the Crystal Cordyceps.

- In keeping with that idea, Abraxasverse Xenilla would basically look like a fusion of the classic SpaceGodzilla and a more advanced version of Godzilla’s Evolved form, with white crystal spikes & plates, longer spikes on his elbows & tail, and red bioluminescence (to fit with the idea that the pink color of Goji’s Evolved form is a side effect of his partially undergoing that process but stopping it halfway through). I think it could also look really cool if he has crystal wings that unfold from his body when he needs to fly, and reform into a layer of extra armor around his torso when he’s on the ground. For how they’d look, I’m thinking maybe something like an all-white version of Tabuu’s crystal wings from the Super Smash Bros video games.

- Shimo would actually be the key to taking down Xenilla once she’s freed from Skar King’s control, as the heroes eventually discover that while Xenilla’s crystal armor has adapted to resist Godzilla’s atomic breath, it��s highly vulnerable to Shimo’s ice-breath. As a result, it ends up being a tag-team effort from her, Godzilla & Mothra (plus Ozzy managing to fight back from within) that ultimately brings the parasite down for good. It’s tragic, of course, given their past relationships with him, but they’re able to take some comfort in the fact that their victory also allows Ozzy’s spirit to finally rest in peace.

I've actually reached a point where I'm willing to call The Clash of Silver a part of AbraxasVerse canon. Hey, @zerm2v0hg! Have some canonization, as a treat!

Yeah, Kiryu being out of commission for a while makes sense, and it feels fitting that he'd be handled by Project Powerhouse. Ren could definitely use a job at Powerhouse after how his gig at Apex ended... and hopefully a therapist, depending on how he's been handling the whole "nearly got electrocuted to death and something happened to his brain but he doesn't know what".

AbraxasVerse Raymond Martin I feel can definitely stand to be less cartoonishly evil than his comic counterpart; maybe instead of gleefully trying to kill a pair of cubs after slaughtering their mother, his trauma from 2014 has reached the point where he simply can't stand seeing a happy family, human or monster, because it gets into his head that that ought to be him and his family. He's still a douchebag tech-bro who hates the Titans and would probably consider Monster X a traitor of sorts for embracing their new monster existence, he's just more clearly a broken man futilely raging against forces of nature because that's all he knows what to do now.

Scylla in MonsterVerse canon is a real nasty piece of work and while AbraxasVerse Scylla is comparatively better, I won't feel bad if she still ends up dying as a result of Martin's nonsense causing her nuclear feeding frenzy; this would be a good way for Ladon and Shin to make an impression on the world, that they're willing to fight to maintain the worldly balance just like their dad. Tiamat however has potential thanks to the Ozymandias backstory and I feel she can be better utilized in AbraxasVerse, especially in light of @tosho89's ritual idea...

Xenilla showing up here would be cool... maybe he was sent out to scout the planet in case a Titan of comparable power to Ozymandias has shown up in the time since that abduction? Leo being the Hollow Earth Iwi guardian could be a neat way to tie in MV!Mothra's reworking Phosphora/Phosphera's (how is that supposed to be spelled?) placeholder role without being too jarring.

Huh, Goji nearly getting infected is a GREAT idea for the sake of tension and sheer "oh SHIT" factor! He goes out of commission for a bit while Mothra heals him and Tiamat does her ritual, and he returns to the fore more powerful than ever... at the cost of becoming a beacon for the nefarious forces behind Xenilla's existence to home in on. And I am ALL FOR Shimo having more to do!
