Remember the Day

The time on the bases clock tower read 7:45, at the moment all ships from the USN detachment on the island were mustering together in their dress whites for a very important morning colors. Any other day it would’ve just been Sealion and a landing craft from the Marine Detachment, but today all hands were assembled. 

“On this day 77 years ago, we met in a game changing time for our navy. For the first time we had been attacked on our own field and hurled the United States into the conflict that eventually gave us life. However this is not to remember the time when our current allies had attacked us. Instead this is to remember the day when 2,117 fellow sailors and marine lost their lives. It is also a day to remember the lesson that gave us our fighting spirit ever since, our enemies may knock us down but we will always come back fighting. With all navies of the world allying each other, this is more prevalent than ever before. Let us never forget Pearl Harbor...” With that Sealion turned to face the LC, clutching her bugle. In 10 minutes would be the exact moment the first bombs dropped, then they would proceed with morning colors. 

Sealion was surprised to see the turn out of his fellow ships, admittedly he was worried of carrying on such an event. However emphasizing today was to remember the fallen and not old wounds, he tried to keep it respectful and small as to not garner attention.

ANZAC Commitment

Eight shipgirls entered the office of one Admiral Buchanan. All wore the standard uniform of the Commonwealth countries; though five of them had something else too. 

Those five had ‘NEW ZEALAND’ embroidered under their shipgirl insignia, in order to distinguish them from shipgirls of the Royal Navy; like the other three. After looking at the admiral with some uncertainty, the orange haired girl - the shortest of them - almost jumped forward to speak...

... Only for a brunette to grab her and pull her back in line. This one sighed, and decided if anybody was to introduce them, it’d have to be the flagship. She stepped forward and held a hand up in salute, the girls behind her following suit.

“Admiral Buchanan, the Royal New Zealand contengint hus arroived. Oi’m H-Emm Shep New Zealand. Reportin’ us ull for duty.”

“Well I’ll remember NOT to take offense to that statement.” Sealion mused, tying the RAN ribbon to his flat hat. It seems more likely every day the USN wants to put him on assignment with every other navy but his own! 

“Seaman 1st Class U.S.S. Sealion, SS-315 reporting for duty.” He said with a drop of his seabag and a prompt salute.

It was very late in the day, the sun having already set, why Atago was still awake at this late of an hour was anyone's guess as she stood alone on the pier.

Heaving a very heavy sigh she started to depart to return to her fleet's dorm to get to sleep and get started early once again, but before she could even take two steps there was another girl standing around the docks seemingly staring off into space just like her.

Walking over to see who it was she didn't immediately recognize the girl from any of the squads stationed here at the southern naval base.

"Its a lovely evening isn't it?" Atago asked as she walked over to the girl to make her presence known.

"An optimal night for a night battle, but thankfully that isn't the case, such a beautiful night shouldn't be ruined by fighting, wouldn't you agree?" She asked the woman as she stood next to the woman.

"Anyways, my name is Atago, flagship of the mobile strike force, and you are?" She introduced politely with a warm and welcoming smile.

Flightless Minesweeper

The Minesweeper was caught by immense surprise at the tackle and was easily thrown to the floor. Who was this overzealous MP? Bloody girl's gonna keep her from finding the others!

"What the hill is an ocker, mate? Can't you see I'm a Kiwi? I don't hev a pass yit, we just arrived!"

"Oi! You must be one of 'em Junior Officers from Pomland. Seems that they like droppin' you guys off here in Oz. G'day, then!"-HMAS Australia.

Rosette was a bit surprised by the sudden greeting, a trifle bothered by the phrase ‘Junior Officer’. “Ah, I wouldn’t say I’m that.” She responded. However, the HMAS Australia was off, leaving the British woman very confused.

"Hey, hey! I'm Annabelle, one of the members of the US Naval contingent here! Have you guys by any chance seen a girl with short black hair and a popped collar running by here? I'm supposed to be keeping an eye on her..."

Noise of strategy talks, info swaps, and fleet direction was heard non-stop from the rooms of the HQ conference rooms. The battleship stepped out from the room for a breather as the Admiral's began shouting over some sort of intel. As she had never been in the conference areas, the ship girl's curiosity got the better of her and she wandered down the halls of the convent, searching for items of interest.

As she entered the conference hall's break room, she noted a somewhat odd admiral standing alone by the vending machine. She seemed to be having trouble with something but the battleship couldn't tell from her position. She peered at the pink-haired girl for a moment before shouting from the break room door.

"You doin' alright there, Admiral?" She asked with a little hesitation. Perhaps the ship girl was mistaken, but the admiral seemed somewhat confused about her situation.
