Training Time

“This is Sealion, ready and standing by for UDT practice. Waiting for capital ship to enter harbor to commence attack run.” Sealion talked through his radio, diving into the water. Ever since his promotion to 3rd Class petty officer, he was given more freedom and acceptance to conduct training runs with the other shipgirls without much scrutiny from the officers. Turning around he noticed another ship with stark red hair at the bottom of the harbor, her rigging didn’t suggest a submarine. 

“TOPSIDE! TOPSIDE! I got a down ship! Repeat, not a submarine commence rescue ops!” With that he began to swim down to the ship, not realizing just how technologically advanced she was.

Enjoying the game?

Yeah, it’s really fun! It’s a shame how short it is, though. I feel like it could’ve done with a bit more development time, since the ending feels also a bit rushed, but the DLC might make up for it whenever they get done with it. It’s an indie company so I’m kinda lenient on that type of thing as long as the gameplay is solid.

Probably the best platformer you’re gonna get outside of a Mario game. Other indie dev teams/companies just haven’t really put out any satisfying platforms like Gears for Breakfast has.

(Probably due to the special conditions required to obtain the ability? After all, you need to visit the Hidden Palace Zone, have all seven Chaos Emeralds, and the Master Emerald to pull it off.)

Fair enough, but that still left plenty of chances to bring him back. Angel Island shows up a ton of times throughout the games (You even fight in front of the Master Emerald altar in Sonic Advance 3), you’d think Sonic would at least mention his Hyper form.

Cue the arrival of a package that contains a strange looking metal slab with a hinge in the center so it opens much like a book..., some sort of pen with a false nib, and the writing "I doubt anyone would approve of me coming down in person so I sent this as a way for us to write back and forth. Not sure if it arrived safely... Please write on the other half with the provided stylus to answer." in neat penmanship on the left side of the strange object.

Ozen stared at the odd, flat thing and the note. She didn’t recognize the handwriting, nor did she understand the purpose of the slab and its pen.

“...Maruruk, I believe this is for you.” She handed the package to the small boy. “Are you so lonely here that you’d rather pretend to have a friend through a metal plate?”
