Zodiac Heroes Poll: Ox

Another idea I kinda want to play around with and plan for is the chaos of Fu only having the Chinese Zodiac and he releases them all to spite and deal with HM, cause how dare he misuse a Miraculous.

Only there are 12 heroes and a struggle to decide who gets what as possibilities are endless. I have tried and just kept going back and forth and constantly changed my mind.

So for fun, let's do them in polls! I'll be doing three a week, and provide links to other polls as they get released.

Choose very carefully, as each Zodiac will have a variety of potential characters to use it. What character wins in this poll is what they get and that option is removed from future polls.

Ox Miraculous will have the power Willpower, granting super strength, but it comes down to one's own resolve and determination. The more determined you are, the stronger you'll be.

Stompp is gruff and blunt, always to the point and clear on his stances. He like to urge humans to step up their game, be ready for any challenge, and to not back down. He likes to urge humans to be responsible, honest, and dependable. He holds a firm belief that the strong should defend and support the weak. He can have a bit of a temper and be a little hotheaded.

I really like how this turned out. Don't have a lot more to say about this piece. xD Still not over that fact that canon Stompp doesn't have ears, like Ziggy gets horns and ears, so why not Stompp? Then again she has a nose unlike most kwamis, so... it balances out? xD

All That Remained, Kagami Tsurugi

Looks like someone is hitting a rebellious phase. Kagami's design is... well the most different so far. I loved the super suit of Ryuko, but it didn't look or feel right going straight for that. I messed around with it, swapped ideas around, until I settled on a cyberpunk aesthetic. I could have gone with a more traditional Japanese look, but I wanted something of her moving forward and breaking free from her mother, traditions, and lifestyles before.

That brings to the coloring. Much like Cath Palug having red eyes, the red here is meant to symbolize her rebellion and almost a declaration of war. Mixed with the black that is an end to old cycles and start of new ones. She's ready to fight for her new life and burn bridges if need be.

As for a name, I was gonna go with something French, but I had a thought. Given her dragon name was Ryuko (Japanese for dragon) I always think of a completely different Ryuko who helped in inspiration for Miraculous AU's Ryuko. So, I'm heavily considering Senketsu. And if you know why, then you get a cookie.

Yes, this is for sure just random kwami swaps and not me trying to convince RozonRozark of The Cheshire au to give Alya the bull. (It can be attached to her mask and she can just not wear it until she transforms, just wear it horrendously wrong or something. Please I am begging I think that would be so freaking cool-)

So here is Bella Blue (Alya), Battle Ox (Alix), and Bixi (Marinette)

Bella's hat is meant to be one of those wide brim flat hats. Similar to the one I drew for my own Bull miracusona. I based the suit on the type of cowboy/cowgirl outfits I'd see dancer's wear.

Meanwhile Battle Ox I based on repeated themes I saw in brawlers or fighter classes in video games. Her collar ended up being shaped like a cow skull which started unintentional but I leaned into it.

Bixi is directly based in Marinette's one time use of the turtle in Cheshire as well as the Miracle Heroes dolls version of turtle marinette. Literally the only one of the dolls that I do like (discounting basic ladybug). I gave her cute pink accents because it was a nice complimentary accent.

I would never do a full Miraculous Ladybug AU for any media because I find the magic system confusing and dumb at times but... I do like me some animal themed magical girls and boys 👉👈

Anyway- ox Eak because I'm self indulgent and I love cowboys <3 Two versions, one with a plead mask and another with a plain one for a more simplified design (plus some other minor color changes). Not entirely sure about a name for him though... Was thinking maybe Minomaquia (From Minotaur and Tauromaquia)? Or maybe Bullseye, and giving him a gun as a weapon lol.

Also yeah the miraculous is a nose ring and you can't see it with a mask like that but listen. It's just a precaution to make sure nobody can steal the miraculous AND it hides the very identifiable scar on the middle of his face. I totally didn't just want to avoid drawing a nose ring or anything...

More Guardian!Claudia posting when I should really actually be asleep:

Claudia wears her miraculouses wrong. It started out as mistaking Daizzi's anklet for a bracelet and somehow turning into Porkbelly anyways. Daizzi, of course, is a little annoyed about this, but for Claudia? ...Oh, it sets a dangerous precedent.

Stompp's septum ring is at best worn on her tongue or as a belly button piercing. She puts her greasy fuckass hair into a bun and that's where she sticks Fluff's pocketwatch. Rarely, if ever, are any of her little magical jewelry pieces visible, because she layers so many clothes and jackets to hide them. Ziggy's hairclips get pinned to the waistband of her jeans, she wears Xuppu's circlet like the most uncomfortable choker in the world just to piss him off.

The only exceptions so far are Roaar's panjas bracelet, Orikko's claw ring, and Karra's knuckleduster/ring set, but either way she has all 10 fingers occupied by a Miraculous in some way, which is terrifying. It only makes her Tiger Punches hurt more (And yes, that's what she calls them. She uses none of the right phrases either. It works anyways.)

Of course, if there's anything her kwami bunch can compliment her on, it's that she's innovative. Even if it's not for the greater good (or really the greater evil either, more the greater entropy), her willpower to 'break the system' at the possible cost of her own life is commendable. Once she gets bit by the metaphorical kwami bug, she's obsessed with finding new synergies between using powers back to back. She can use Stompp's invulnerability + Orikko's wishmaking (for pyrokinesis) to become a Human Torch. She can scatter herself across time and space with the help of Mullo, Saass, and Fluff (which, inevitably, she tried to use to fuck with history, but then she has to stop herself from getting caught by Bunnix). Karra can 'shapeshift' Mullo's copies back to human size no matter how many copies are made, meaning Claudia can copy herself nearly thousands of times if she wants. And Barkk + Kaalki? PERFECT FOR THEFT.

She earns her title as "God's Mistake" with these kwamis. Until this superhero shit can finally kill her, she's going to be a nigh-unstoppable chaos machine.

so when we watched sandboy I told my niece the names and concepts of all the kwamis (not the powers though), and I also asked her who she'd pair them with. She said she'd give the Ox to Kim, which I think is fitting, then the Pig to Rose since she loves everyone. Then my favorite was with Ziggy: "I'd give the passion one to Nathaniel or the writing guy", which I find hilarious seeing the whole canon vs fandom expectation with the Goat. xD

For the kwami swaps, how about Mylene with the ox and Ivan with the mouse? I always felt like it fit them more.

I took my time, I'm sorry for keeping you waiting for so long, I was studying for exams, and I had a long time to think about how this exchange would go, and sorry for the painting, still learning about:

Bull Fury, Mylene with the miraculous bull, I tried to use a palette of blue and purple, since I think it matches and since the character's main color is pink, I think it's a good combination, besides she's already in my version, with vitiligo and brown hair, otherwise she's practically the same.

And Mysh'sin or Mouse!Ivan (just saying that I used a translator, it's a mixture of rat and orange, but it's probably not the right thing to say Orange Rat, but as a hero's name it fits a bit) will be left for a future post, because so far I haven't been able to think of any uniform that I like, and mostly that I thought are kinda "too much japanese" for him, Kimono and ninja stuffs, if I were to consider the original universe it would be a fun swap and more easy (full spandex clothes, the worst nightmare), but here the rat just changes size and I can't see Ivan wearing it in this universe, but as soon as I think of something interesting I'll post Mysh'sin, hope you understand that.

Any ideia or tips for Ivan or Mylene, I'm open mind.

And Tikki and Stompp could've been counterparts to each other. Even as an alternative Creation-Destruction duo (there's Bulldoze for destructive power).

Absolution, Ira

Ondine now joins the ranks of the heroes in Absolution by the name of Ira, rage. She fights to bring an end to tyranny and for the sake of retribution.

Now for the goat. The ability to create an item? Useless power. Lucky charm exists. And the "Kwami of Passion" doesn't really make itself clear. How about instead, we make Ziggy the Kwami of Evolution as opposed to the rabbit. It fits with Nathaniel's constant growth.

Now, with "Ramify" ( meaning branch out/grow and develop) the Goat has the power to unlock a hidden ability for all of the other miraculous. It can actually fix a lot. So instead of the whole "The only limits are the ones you put on yourself" thing from Pidgeon 72, we actually have an evolved form for all the Kwamis and use them.

For instance, giving the turtle shape-shifting light constructs out of "Shellter" or the fox the ability to actually camoflage. Seriously, Alya? Baby blue camo?

Anyway. I think a good weapon would be the tonfa. They're defensive weapon for Nathaniel to use while he mostly hangs back. Also, attacking would be like getting hit by a goat.

As for the Ox. The mallet? Good. But I personally prefer the concept art for it. More personality. Honestly, it's not bad. Though we all seem to agree that the costume is bland.

Is it a cultural thing? Cause I didn't get "biker leather" from this.

For the power, it fits, but a lot of us were thinking of something like strength. I'm thinking of something that involves hurling enemies(taken by tiger) or enlarging different parts of the users body. Maybe even enlarging other objects as a counterpart to the mouse.

Instead of the Kwami of Determination, we now have the Kwami of Expansion. I just want more Yin-Yang in this show. T_T

I will conquer all of these concepts if it's the last thing I do
