also played around with an alternate version! i dont know much about birds but i saw the australian barn owl and took more inspo from them

King of Swords: Lilith as Belos’s Right Hand

Upright: Intellect, authority, reason, morality, truth, objectivity, discipline, integrity, strict codes, decisive, rational

Reversed: Manipulation, misuse of power, imperious, controlling, unyielding, cold, ruthless, dishonest

The King of Swords rules over the suit of the mind; one's intellect, thoughts, and beliefs as well as communication, conflict, and logic. As such, the King is someone whose authority stems from their knowledge and who rules from a place of logic and truth over emotion. The King of Swords is a rational figure who has the mental clarity to make objective decisions based on strict moral codes that they have the power to create and enforce.

Intellect and authority, though, can be so easily twisted into self-righteousness and tyranny. The reversed King is manipulative, controlling, and deeply convicted of their own moral objectivity. This can result in a fundamental dishonesty with oneself, as well as a cold detachment from appeals to their sense of sympathy.

Lilith and Belos mirror each other in many ways, both embodying the aspects of this card. They are both authority figures who uphold the Coven system as the single objective "correct" way to participate in Boiling Isles society, declaring anyone who deviates from this system amoral. They are both cunning and ambitious like any good King of Swords would be, single-mindedly pursuing their objectives using the full breadth of their knowledge of magic and social manipulation. Like Belos rationalized murdering his brother for deviating from human realm norms, Lilith rationalized cursing her sister as the only logical path forward for herself to realize her dreams of joining the Emperor's Coven. The King of Swords wields truth in the form of a double-edged blade, threatening even when sheathed. In this way, Lilith and Belos both maintain their positions of power through withheld information; Lilith in keeping the origin of Eda's curse a secret, and Belos in his concealment of the truth of history, and by claiming his actions are the will of the Titan rather than simply motivated by his own personal interests.

You know, all in all, it's been a great year for sapphics in animation.

And it's not done! Season 5 of The Dragon Prince comes out this summer, likely featuring more of Amaya's and Janai's relationship.

Harley Quinn should be coming back sometime this Summer/Fall for more adventures of Harlivy!

Coming in October is I'm In Love With the Villainess, which follows the adventures of Rae Taylor, a normal woman who is isekaied into her favorite otome game and is determined to woo the game's main antagonist, aristocrat Claire François.

And there may be more! These are just the ones I know about currently. So yeah, a pretty great year for sapphic animation.

Promotion.

Over a frail frame, this world is placed. Shoulders shaking, back breaking, you carry on. Silent, alone.

3, at first, felt even more of a burden when they were given the cap. A liability. Futher trapped in a legacy they wanted no more part in.

They felt they were a burden bc of the inknemia. Theyre torn up abt their body and its new limitations. For a while they didnt like the idea of being taken off the field bc it just told them that they cant do what they used to.

Later, they grew to accept it. This is the only way they can protect this fragile world without getting themself killed. Its a limit they learned to live with.

They also accepted it because of 4 and 8, even if they werent around anymore (at that time)...

They took this role for them. For them and all the other hopes and dreams of Inkadia.

They have to stay, they have to fight. For everyone to have a world they can follow their dreams in. Nevermind their own dream, if they had one. This is all that matters now.

They are going to make sure nobody else has to go through the horrors they have. They will carry the world on their weakened shoulders because they are NOT going to damn anyone else to this role. Theyve been doing this since they hatched.

They'll be fine.

I don't think I'll draw this out but 2 routes we can go for this Raeda ship.

Route 1: This will be Eda and Raine's first time meeting at their job. It's Eda's first day and Lilith offers to show her around the office. She sees Raine talking to someone during their lunch break. Either Raine has something on them that makes Eda go like "Hello? 👀 we have similar interests?" or "Oh?? U look cool. I wanna talk to you"

OR! flip the script, we're following Raine's pov and they have a BIG crush on Eda. Altho Raine is very put together, they're clumsy or freeze up when trying to chat w/ Eda.

Route 2: They have not seen one another since high school. It's been several decades since they last saw one another. I haven't thought too long on this but I'm curious abt this idea. Did one of them had a crush on the other during high school? Or both? Maybe they had a huge fight and now working together they see they've grown since those school days.
