Update! A little birdie from the City of Encinitas let me know that the legendary Sanoland in Cardiff-by-the-Sea will come under the wrecking ball or I should say the jackhammer within the next week or so. Many skaters have tasted Sanoland’s abrasive concrete since the 1970s and supposedly a 70ft section where the pipe crosses will be spared🧐. So, get your last sessions in this week! @sandiegohistorycenter is opening an exhibition tonight, Saturday, 4/20🧐 “I’m Not Like You: Notes From the San Diego Underground”. I have a handful of photos included in the show that celebrates the creative period of punk, hip-hop and skateboarding in San Diego from the 1970s - 1990s. The opening reception is from 6-8pm tonight and the exhibition runs to October 27th. The San Diego History Center is located in Balboa Park at 1649 El Prado, Suite #3.
