Last year (until my first tumblog vanished for a time), Dracula Daily inspired me to do something I’d considered before: Lord of the Rings Daily, following the events of the War of the Rings by calendar date from September 23 TA 3018 till the destruction of the Ring March 25 TA 3019. This will be following Appendix B so, like DD, not all days will have entries. And there’s a twist: it’s being done in my triangle figure cartoons instead of in book excerpts, and mashed up with the fandom crossover multiverse featured in my fancomic The Hero of Three Faces. There will be unique elements of both the novels and the movies.

March 4: Gandalf (Obi-Wan Kenobi) and Shadowfax (KITT) bring the Rohan of Erkenbrand to Hornburg, winning the battle. Gandalf and Theoden (Joyce Summers) depart for Isengard.

I was stumped how to cast Shadowfax (Preferably with an existing equine character who's appeared in Three Faces. Roach? Sophie? Are there others?) till I remembered that the only other steed I've pictured in this project so far was cast with an automobile. (Owait, Bill the pony was Roach. …but then Bill wasn't a steed) Then for a time I was thinking of using Chitty Chitty Bang Bang because, unlike KITT, per that one viral post the other week Shadowfax doesn't speak. In the end I picked KITT because I had an existing figure to swipe from myself. But then I needed other vehicles to be the steeds of the other riders… It's probably difficult to make out but Eomer, Buffy Summers, is driving Herbie The Love Bug, and the other visible Riders are Willow and Xander.
