It's been months since anyone has seen you since the engagement of niran and satya during the party. You've isolated yourself in your room, only going out once in a while to go back to what used to be you and niran's special oak tree, only for you to continue weeping once more. Everything hurt. Every single thing you did reminded you of him. Flowers, nature, books, writing, watching a movie, no matter what you did to keep your mind off of him, it would always wander back to the times you used to do those very things but with him. Niran pruksamanee. The man who swore to you that you were his light, his diamond, the girl he wants to marry. The man who has completely abandoned you to run away with his true love, his best friend, Satya Vaswani. Oh how bitter you felt at the two of them. But who could blame you?

It was just a regular weekend, although, for you..regular meant crying your eyes out and screaming into your pillow. You wanted to go out, and so you did. You got up and dressed yourself nicely, hoping that maybe Niran would come to his senses and realize he loved you. Hoping that maybe Niran would be under your guys' special oak tree, waiting for you.

“of course not.” You laughed to yourself, feeling humiliated for even thinking of such. Sinking down on the grass, allowing yourself to weep once more, you hear a voice above you.

“I haven't seen you in a while..Y/N.”

You look up to see a familiar cyborg, a small smile appearing on your face..it felt a little odd. You haven't smiled in a long time after all.

“Genji!” you exclaimed happily, you hadn't realized how much you needed another human being's interaction right now. You felt so happy to finally see and talk to someone for once instead of just being lonely.

The ninja jumps down, offering you a flower he plucked off of the ground just now.

“As beautiful as ever, even when you're crying.”

You hesitate to take the flower, it's not that you didn't want it. It just..reminded you of him. It seems as this doesn't go unnoticed to the ninja, putting the flower away as he sank to the grass sitting next to you.

“I'm..sorry for what happened during the party.”

“It's alright, Genji. You shouldn't even be apologizing, it's not your fault!”

“I know but..he hurt you. Someone has to apologize for making one of gods' angels cry.”

“Haha! Genji, still a flirt i see.”

The ninja looks at you, although you couldn't see his face, you swore there was a sad look in his eyes when you saw a glimpse through his visor.

“o-oh..did i..say something wrong?”

“.....”

“Genji..? I'm sorry if i said so-”

“He didn't deserve you.”

“Huh?”

“He doesn't. Deserve you.”

“What are you talking about, genji?”

“You-..” He looks at you before sighing, “You're beautiful.”

You felt warmth spread across your cheeks before brushing it off to let him talk.

“You were kind. You helped everyone around you, putting your own self last even though you didn't need to. You did your best to make your relationship work, and HE-.....”

The cyborg clutches his first, anger dripping in his tone before taking a deep breath, calming himself down before taking off his visor to look at you in the eyes.

“He...hurt you.”

Tears well up in your eyes, feeling emotional not only at the mention of Niran, but also because someone cared.

“If you don't mind me asking, Why do you care so much, Genji?”

Genji looks at you with such loving eyes, the same look you once saw Niran give you before he left with Satya. But strangely, instead of feeling hurt, it felt..nice. You gave him an understanding smile before leaning your head on his shoulder.

It's gonna take a long while to move on from Niran. He was your first love after all, but maybe..just maybe, theres still a chance for a happy ending afterall.

It's been a few weeks since you and genji met at the oak tree, He's been visiting you alot more often. Although you find yourself often crying over Niran most of the time, Genji doesn't mind comforting you every single time. You were glad for his help, for his comfort. You don't think you would've been able to do it alone.

“Genji..you don't have to do this, you know?” You wipe your tears before accepting the tub of your favorite flavor ice cream that he was offering you.

“I know, but i want to.”

You smile, theres a real connection between the two of you. You felt yourself ease up alot more when he was around, he acted as if he was your emotional support system. You were thankful for it.

The night went on as normal, with the two of you watching a movie, all cuddled up together as you ate some snacks. The movie ends and you guys are barely able to stay awake, the coolness of his metallic body touching your warmer one was the perfect temperature while wrapped up in a cozy blanket. Before dozing off to sleep, you mumble a small but audible “I love you” to the ninja.

It's safe to say the ninja barely slept that night, your soft and sleepy look in his arms, all comfortable and content as you whispered you loved him repeating on his head like a record being played without a stop button.

“She's..what?”

Niran's eyes widened, tears pooling at the corner of his eyes as he stared at the new couple walk into the room.

“She's dating Genji now, isn't that lovely, Bua?” His fiancé Satya replied.

“...no..”

He felt his head spin, feeling a sharp pang pierce his chest, almost like he was shot. He felt sick to his stomach at the thought of His y/n being with someone else. Let alone a co-worker.

Wait...

His?

His Y/N?

“YOUR Y/N?... Pruksamanee, Are you TRYING to be funny or are you truly THAT idiotic?“

How idiotic he was.

You were no longer his.

“I'm sorry, Niran.” You said quietly before turning your back on him, the same action he once did that shattered your heart for ages. Now you were doing it to him. A hint of guilt hitting your chest as you heard him cry out and beg for you before another voice speaks out.

You smile, looking at your new partner with love and adoration as he stood up for you. You were with the right person now, you were sure of it.

“You reap what you sow, pruksamanee. You lost her. Now deal with it, like she's had to deal with the heartbreak over YOUR betrayal all those months ago.”

Oh nooooo I have to talk about the game I was hyperfixated on for 3 years before taking a break from it then getting back into it again oh noooo

Geez it's so weird to think about how much the game has changed since launch. There used to be FOUR hero types instead of the three we have today. Symettra was a support hero. SUPPORT. Defense was a hero type (Junkrat was my defense main before he got shoved into damage nfkajdjd). Torb had to collect scrap around the map and could make armor packs for his allies ("come get yer armor" "NEED MORE SCRAP"). D.Va would also die to her ult if you didn't get to cover and was legitimately one of the weakest tanks. D.Va got disabled for WEEKS because of a gamebreaking bug in her code. Mercy had mass rez and people would legit want to maim you if you got a 5 man rez off. God remember when we had 6v6?? I miss 6v6...

I have something that will scare any OW veteran: GOATS Comp. God FUCK GOATS it sucked SO bad I hated it. God I remember when it was all you'd see in quickplay and comp and I literally wanted to throw my xbox out a window cause of it.

And don't get me started on November 16th 2017 when the support of all time released. I dropped the mantel of Mercy main to become a Moira main that day and have been a Moira main since day 1 of her release. Literally freed me from my meek support main shackles and opened me up to a new world: support main violence :) She's honestly so much fun and I'm so glad that she's getting buffed next season in OW2.
