I wasn’t expecting a lot from this manhwa because it didn’t seem like anything special from the description & premise. BUT! It was delightful! There’s a reason the reviews are so high.

This is definitely a slow burn, more focused on school life at the beginning - but when things start to pick up, they really pick up and it’s not afraid to get deep. Deep and dark. But mostly, this manhwa is just so darn cute and funny! Yuri and Jaerim are adorable! Good balance of silly & serious.

The art in this manhwa is great too - the style developed throughout the story which I didn’t notice while reading, but looking back to the first chapter, it changed a lot! I love seeing artists advance their skills & develop their style. ♡

I recommend reading the side story, Incorrigible.

Future Headcanons in Never Understand/Out of Control

I’ve always imagined them moving to and attending university in America. Dohoon and Yumin go to Art school in los Angeles Jaerim attends Law School with a minor in psychology Yuri goes to a business school to try to bring his parents company back up Joohee and her girlfriend soyeong are Yuri and Jaerim’s neighbours After school Yuri manages to make his company multinational and widely successful. Jaerim mostly represents discrimination or sexual harassment lawsuits. He loves to defend the less wealthy so he takes a lot of pro bono or pay to win cases. His masters in psych is mostly to help Yuri with his issues but Jaerim occasionally offers his services for psych evals or free therapy sessions. Joohee helps Yuri with the company and Soyeong is an accountant. Jaerim skypes with their friends a lot. Yuri sometimes gets jealous about it and pouts for a while Jaerim's mom loves Yuri. Any time she talks to her son she wants to talk to Yuri too. Jaerim's sisters call Yuri brother in law even though they haven't gotten married. Yuri secretly loves it. Jaerim knows this it's why he allows it to continue.

What I love about this is Jaerim’s personality.Eventhough he’s ugly,he’s so persistent. ambitious to achieve whatever he wants.He stands up for the inequality in the society,even though meeting the setbacks,he falls but stands up again!!!

Also I love that Yuri (pink hair one).His the Seme that isn’t perfect but ready to learn about relationship together with Jaerim.

This comic help me understand more about people..(it’s not what it’s looks like,people have reason to be who they are). And I have seen many problems about the society (ex.How people view otaku,love people base on appearance ,being different has been treated unfair.)

The sentences are when they are confronted after avoiding each other for a long time.I cry so hard in this scene TT

Ps.eventhough they are in a relationship,there are still many things in their mind.

So the series kinda look enthralling.

I absolutely LOVE this manhwa! I love everything about it. The art style, the characters, the romance! ＾● ⋏ ●＾ So freaking cute! 

I think it’s also a great side story/continuation. It has the characters from the main story shown but it’s definitely an entirely new story on its own. Would recommend reading the main story first, but it wouldn’t ruin it not to.

Plot Synopsis:

Yuri, one of the school's most handsome guys, and Jaerim, one of the school's ugliest, collide!...or don't they...Can't understand what's going on between these two! It's Out of Control!!

I love this manhwa so much. The story is good and the chapters shift throughout the characters. My favorite couple is none other than the main couple Yuri and Jaerim. Despite both of them having their own flaws, they match each other. There are times when I didn't like how Jaemin treated Yuri. While, Yuri can be an ass sometimes and he kept on hurting Jaemin. I hated him when he didn't realize that Jaerim was being bullied by her fans of girls, and when he didn't immediately save Jaerim. I really despite him at that time, but overall I loved his development throughout the story.

Honestly, I don't find Jaerim as ugly. Is it because of his freckles? Well, he is not as attractive as the other characters, but generally he's not that bad looking.

Yumin and Dohoon are my favorite side couple. At first, I hated Dohoon for what he puts Yumin through. But once I learned his back story and once his relationship with Yumin progressed, he changed and promised to never hurt Yumin again. I love how his character develops.

There is another side couple Aerak and Heeno, but I'm not really a big fan of them. I hated Heeno because he didn't remember Aerak and it looks like he only likes Aerak for his looks now. Also, I think he is bad for Aerak as he said some cruel things, but Aerak likes him and the heart wants what it wants. I just hope he suffer and made more effort in confessing his feeling for Aerak. Still, I like the ending because of the Aerak's dream.
