I don't play a lot of video games these days so I have only heard of it. Game-wise I heard it's good. Representation-wise, I just found a youtube video which is 2 hours worth of critisizing it. I watched parts of it and I totally agree with the YouTuber's issue with Hades which, like all Greek myth inspired media, oursources easy worldbuilding from Greek mythology, with zero interest in representing Greek people and culture. He lost me however when he said that it can't be an accurate representation when Kratos (he mentions God of War as a segway) is just a violent dude and the game has no character with φιλότιμο (philótimo). He lost me there because being Greek doesn't mean someone is automatically philotimos. At this point I dropped the video, mostly because it's two hours about a game I haven't even played. I will say that in the world of videogaming my tolerance is bigger. That's because a game is always a fantasy of its creators. Books and movies which claim to retell or present an accurate or improved version of Greek mythology irritate me way more because their creators manifest an obtrusive, laughably self-important and frankly insufferable entitlement to a foreign ethnic group's cultural heritage and factual history. That's very problematic. But a game is there to entertain only. I doubt people legitimately interested in the Greek civilization seeking more accurate Greek content will rely on the Hades game in order to find it.

Would follow a pre-death Roupgaruke as they kill a man, take someone hostage, and then they flee into the bog that kills you (which kills them)

-out of all of these, leopard will take the most work to get done by far, and would also be the longest animation out of the bunch. the plan is for each section of the song to follow each cycle/era/plot point of mortally coiled, with each section being self-contained, so id at least be able to tackle it in chunks. would follow literally the entire plot of mortally coiled from the start of the universe to the end

IDK about the need to work for salvation but I do think that politics and activism replaced religion for many people.

I see it even among my friends as I stopped discussing politics with some of them due to them becoming nearly fanatical with every disagreement causing them to enter a state of fury.

Years ago I was naive thinking the religion is inherently harmful as means to manipulate people by telling them what is good and what is bad.

Now I think this is actually the part of human nature. The willingness to oursource values. To have someone else tell you what is good and bad. Rather than the "need of salvation" it's the need of belonging but also the unwillingness to constantly make your own choices. When a group tells you to be good and provides set of values and designated enemies you will fight said enemies and exemplify those values no matter what.
