Today it's not a Star Wars artwork 😱 It's my desktop! And my cat Luigi peaking, obviously lurking to paw my pencil! 🐱
For me it's another step from clinging to templates back to free hand drawing like in old times, before my life was shaken with the aim to force me into growth 😌✨ (poetic and pathetic, too few coffee, too much green tea today maybe 🦉☕️)
Maybe you think this looks familiar – it's a remake of my old Tumblr profile banner picture. A sign for new beginnings and improvement 🚀 💫
This piece is a relic from times long before I knew I could be a self employed graphic designer or even an artist. I drew it on paper, scanned it and made the color finish with mouse and Gimp 🙈 I forgot the year, but I guess it's now about 10-15 years old 😄
Tumblr media
My personal ALT text mission: today also one of my personal improvement steps out of clinging to templates – the first Star Wars clone face I drew without any template and it's not even a reg's one: Wrecker jumping onto poor cantina shinies! 💥
(1 additional ALT-Text for a previous artwork with each new art posting!)
Taglist (only some of you defined if you want to see more than Star Wars stuff, so now get Luigi‘d 🐱): @eclec-tech @lonewolflupe @bixlasagna @returnofthepineapple @sunshinesdaydream @covert1ntrovert @general-ida-raven @vrycurious @dystopicjumpsuit

Hey, I've never posted on here before but I don't know what else to do. I'm trying here and reddit.
I want to ask u guys for advice.
Mainly on the topics of:
Dissability(mainly undiagnosed cptsd or bipolar, neurological and possible ortho in my knees) + ptsd and ~fibromialgia~
Remote jobs
OHP
So I have been working at a restaurant that is very busy as a host, bus, where I bus tables and greet people + get them drinks. It's complicated, but long story short my boss got burned by my ex parents (part of the cause of the ptsd and cptsd) and is understanding of my situation with them. She works us on a skeleton crew all year round because of us being in a small tourist town, where the summers are busy and the wunters are a flood of layoffs due to lack of customers. So she keeps on only what she can during the winter ALL YEAR. which when we have 3-4 waitress/host busses for the restaurant with multiple large rooms it is intense on even the most able bodied and minds.
Basically the trade off is he'll in the summer for job security in the winter.
Which i would totally be in for, except my body and brain don't seem to be down for the ride of 36hr weeks >:[
And I'm worsening, fast. Especially with the secuall assaults related trauma, making it increasingly dangerous for me to drive to and from work, which is almost 30 min away.
I want to quit so bad, I technically already have and said that I'll try to work 2-3 weeks more, mostly out of guilt.
The second main problem is that my ohp, oregon Healthcare could be taken from me if I quit a job without already securing another. Which I have not.
I'm going to keep applying to Amazon, and other large companies and a few small ones for a remote job and search a but on the area to for an office job (which would not be ideal, but still better).
But I'm quitting today, school just let out which means even more than what I already have had and I'm pretty sure that I met my replacement yesterday.
I honestly don't know what to do, I'm legally homeless and couch surfing and have to wait a week or two to even try to get my fafsa approved. (Which I might be able to get a job at the community college, IF I take at least one class)
I want to get a degree like paralegal, but thats after I fix my credit.
Lil vent:
It's so frustrating when it feels like my body and mind are holding me back from who I should've been... I should've been the person who worked hard despite her past and made a good savings and future for herself. I'm trying to get into a therapist and pursue a specialist who can help, but if I loose my health insurance I'm screwed. Gods, this sucks.
But seriously, the heck am I supposed to do ʕಠᴥಠʔ

Remote Job Search
Okay so I know this might be an insane place to ask… but who’s hiring for fully remote roles. I am trained in PR, visual art, and international relations and of course graphic design and have worked as a flight attendant. I have plenty of transferable skills and like most young people around my age who have graduated college, the job search market is trash. From the online search engines (linkedin, indeed, etc…) I always either 1. Hear that the role was filled months later, 2. Hear that the role was taken down, 3. (And this one usually takes some digging) find that the roles was filled in house. I always see posts talking about nepotism in the entertainment industry but no one wants to speak about it on a small scale, like the local restaurant who hires their kids as the chef, the principal who hires their nephew as a teacher. I don’t mean to complain about fairness, because if my parents handed me an opportunity I wanted i absolutely would take it, but I’d fight to make sure that I was capable and worthy of it.
I am well aware that we do not live in a meritocracy, but that does not mean I do not have the merit. I hate to complain here as this account is supposed to be my escape, but I know plenty of professionals have accounts here as well. I have had comments off for the sake of my mental health but reblog and I’ll check your tags. Believe me if I am turning to TUMBLR of all places for job search I have EXHAUSTED my options.
And I know I am not alone in my search. I am specifically searching for fully remote roles for personal reasons but you guys feel free to reblog with new info and tag! If this post can help any of us get what we need then my job here is done ✅
So as of right now…

Starting to think about how I will have to get a remote job. I don't think I will be able to physically go back to work when this leave ends in two months as I will "just" be starting treatment for my autoimmune disease. (That is if the second Rheumatologist even takes me seriously).
So if anyone knows any trustworthy sites to find remote jobs for those with chronic illness, I appreciate any recommendations. The typical places, I am typically on Indeed and LinkedIn. Indeed sucks for finding remote jobs tbh.
In terms of my experience, I have a lot of typing, data entry, phone, scheduling, and customer service. So I am pretty much primed for anything Virtual assistant-related or data entry, or even chat agent if I have to. I also have a bachelor's degree but dunno if that even matters anymore lol.

okay how do i romanticize studying on my own ? i technically have exams at the end of every semester that require me to study but otherwise, im on a remote studying program. so I don't have the validation of a professor. how do you study alone when you thrive on the praise of your peers ?
