This includes NSFW ideas of what Cove Holden is like during sex or after, please do not read if you are under the age of 18 <3 (Written by Rat #2) (added a few things since last posted)

A- Aftercare (What are they like): Very gentle, loves to pamper the other person, and greatly appreciates it when their partner gives them aftercare too, even if it is a simple spooning cuddle session or if it is bathing the other. He often tends to hold you close to his chest, threading his fingers through your hair as your breathing regulates, and gives you gentle forehead kisses.

B- Body Part (Their favorite of their own and yours): His favorite is his arms because he is confident in his strength when it comes to picking you up. He loves your legs, specifically your thighs, because they are a nice size for him to lay his head against when the two of you are relaxing or after everything is said and done.

C- Cum / Clothes After (Where they do it): He often pulls out if he doesn’t use a condom and c*ms purposefully on their stomach, their legs, or on a towel if available. After everything is said and done, he prefers to put on his underwear and shorts, lending you his shirt if it is oversized on you. He doesn’t mind if you have any clothes on after or even during the session, but he isn’t against you putting any or all of your clothes back on after. D- Dirty Secret (A dirty secret or a guilty pleasure during sex): He won’t ever admit it, but he secretly likes it when you talk dirty to him in public spaces when no one is paying attention or when anyone can’t hear. E- Experience (How experienced are they): You both got together when he was 17 and you were 16. (For the sake of things, you can swap the ages if your birthday comes before his, which is November 2nd.) He previously had one girlfriend when he was in middle school, but it never went anywhere because he secretly had eyes for you the whole time and was too scared to admit it. You were the first person he was ever intimate with, which also allowed you to teach him things, though he had already researched a bit before doing anything with you. The first time you both ever did anything he was absolutely flustered out of his mind, stuttering the whole time and making sure you felt good as if he would die on the spot if you didn't.

F- Favorite Position: If it wasn’t obvious, he wasn’t very skilled in knowing about many different positions and how to properly do them, so he typically has you both in missionary. He loves it when you ride him, though because he gets a wonderful angle of you and he loves watching the way he's able to make you feel.

G- Goofy (Are they serious at the moment, goofy, nervous, etc.): Often he gets a bit carried away at the moment before realizing what he does, causing him to get flustered and making him ask, "Does this feel okay?". "Oh god, I didn’t hurt you, did I?" He tends to laugh a tiny bit whenever you do something more direct or dominant, such as wrapping your legs around his waist making him go silent for a moment before continuing.

H- Horny (How horny do they typically get and what is their desire to do things): Often, when he is off visiting his mom and you aren’t with him. at least one of the nights he will jerk off at the thought of you under him or you whispering in his ear. Something he will never admit is that one time when he called you at his mom's, he was touching himself and quickly ended the call before he finished. Something that makes him get lightheaded is when you drag your tongue along his neck or collarbone. (Bonus points if you kiss him after and where your tongue stopped, there is a trail of saliva dripping down the side).

I- Intimacy (How are they during the moment, romantically, do they touch a lot, sensual?): He often doesn’t know what to do with himself physically because he gets very nervous and second-guesses himself, leaving you to help him figure out where to touch. After your third time having sex, he has the things that make you moan the loudest burned into his brain, making him instantly do whatever that is.

J- (Jack off, how often do they?): He wasn’t really one to touch himself before your relationship because he always thought it was disrespectful to think about you that way without knowing you also reciprocated the feeling. After you got together, he did it about once a week.

K- Kink (One or more of their kinks): He has a HUGE praise kink since he is a bit nervous. He loves hearing how good he makes you feel, and that is often almost enough for him to cum on the spot without you even touching him. M- Motivation (What turns them on): He instantly gets weak in the knees when you breathe along his neck or give him gentle kisses along his collarbone. He likes it when you are more direct in the beginning, such as by pushing him against a wall or whispering dirty things in his ear because it reassures him fully that you do want him.

N- NO (What is off-limits, or something they would not do during sex?): Choking: He WILL NOT purposely choke you unless you specifically guide him where to put his hands and how much pressure to apply. He is also against physically hurting you, like spanking. Despite this, he will toss you on the bed if you were being a tease to him earlier in the day.

O- Oral (How good are they? Do they prefer receiving or giving): He definitely likes it when you give him handj*bs, blowj*bs, etc. More often than not, though, he enjoys eating you out when you’re pressed against a wall. R- Risk (Are they willing to do it with others around?): When it was earlier in your guy’s relationship, he was 100% against doing it when his dad or your friends could hear, but over time, as you guys learn about each other's bodies, he will do quickies in another room quietly. Later, when you guys are alone, he will give you what you deserve.

S- Stamina (How many rounds and how long are the rounds): He is pretty average when it comes to stamina, usually 2 or 3 rounds, unless you eg him on for another or if you edge him into another.

T- Toy (Do they own some or use it on themselves or their partner): He isn’t the biggest fan of toys, and he would prefer to be touched by you or to touch you. If you request toys, he isn’t against using them on you, but again, he doesn’t like using them on himself unless he is alone and you can’t satisfy him yourself.

U- Unfair (How much they like to tease or get teased): He won’t ever admit it, but he does love it when you tease him. He finds it super attractive when you know the little things that turn him on. Only when you begin teasing him will he lightly tease you back, but it often blows up in his face with you teasing him even more.

V- Volume (How loud are they and what sounds do they make): When there aren't any risk factors, he will get very loud, whining, and breathy groaning. When he gets carried away, he often cries out, repeating your name multiple times. He absolutely loves hearing your voice, so he aims to make you feel as good as he can. (Bonus points if you say his name when you finish, which often makes him cum on the spot regardless if you are touching him.)

W- Whispering (Do they like to keep you quiet or themselves or go all out): He often is quiet during a quickie, where he only grunts and gives quiet praises such as "Yeah" or "Just like that". When it is you guys alone, I’ve said it multiple times, he gets very loud and is a little puppy dog for you, whining and gasping for breath.

Y- Yearning (How much do they do it with you?): He generally can go couple weeks without any touching, but after that, he craves you. He will regularly have sex with you 1-3 times a week, with the occasional quickie thrown in the mix.

Z- Zzz (How quickly do they fall asleep?): He often gets flooded with emotions before, during, and even after everything is all said and done, so he gets tired very easily, which leaves you to give him aftercare. He will make sure, though, that after every session he reassures you of how well you did or gives you some sort of pampering before resting. This is the time when he gives you the most softest kisses in the world and presses his hands against you like you're silk.

So, you want to make an RP Blog. Where the heck do you even start???

Hello, future User!! We're so excited you're considering joining us here in the Riordanverse RP community!!! First and foremost, we want to say that everyone is welcome here, no matter your location, your reading experience, or the amount of blogs you already have!! We want you here, and we're more than happy to invite you in!

Many of our new prospective users have been asking us how to even begin, and we know this can be a scary thing to deal with, especially if you've never done an RP blog before. Never Fear, this is the step-by-step guide you've been looking for!

So, Let's get started!!! ◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈

Part 1: Creating/Choosing your Character

Step 1: OC or Cannon?

To begin, of course, we have to decide who we want to play! Do you want to portray a character that already exists, or would you like to create one that is entirely yours? There are no wrong answers!

A Cannon Character is a character from the books. We have a good spread of them here on the database, and please don't be intimidated by the duplicates! It's bound to happen, and it's more than okay! Just choose a character you like and think about how you want to portray them.

An OC or Original Character is a character that is made up, but still fits into the lore of the universe they are being portrayed in. This is not specific to the Riordanverse, but we'll stay focused on Riordanverse OCs for this post. (If you are not part of the Riordanverse and you're using this post to make a blog, just disregard the specific details!!!)

Step 1A: OC Basics

If you settled on making an OC, you'll need to decide a couple things to start you off! For us here, you'll decide the following (roughly): What is their name? What are their Pronouns/gender? Who will their parents be? We'll decide what they look like next! Don't worry!

Step 2: Character Portrayal

Now that you've decided who you're playing, we can get into the fun stuff, like what your character looks like and what abilities they have! You will need an icon of your character for your blog.

Icon Options

If you're portraying a cannon character, the Read Riordan website has the official art for most of the Cannon characters. These are always a safe bet for Icons. If you choose to use other art, please be sure to Credit the Artist, either in your Bio or your pinned post, and always ask for permission. If you can't give credit and get permission, you can't use the art!!!

If you decided to make an OC, thats amazing!!! The most common place our OC users get their portrayals is from Picrew, a website that allows you to make character icons that look like anything you can imagine! They have a TON of options, so give them a try!

Another option is to search Pinterest for a real life Face Claim, but if you choose to use a real person, please be sure to credit that person in your bio or pinned post.

Character Bio

Once you have your Icon, you'll need to collect some more information to put into your Character's Bio. The best place to look for this information is the Riordanverse Fandom Wiki. It has a list of cabin pages, each of which has lists of abilities, personality traits, and other such things for the children of each god that can help you build your character. Now that we're going more in-depth, let's answer a few more questions:

What powers does your character possess?

What do they fight with?

Do they have any special talents or quirks?

What is their personality like?

Now that you have all the essentials down, we can get to the fun part! Making the blog!!!!

Part 2: Creating your Blog

Step 1: Side Blog or Main

To begin, decide if you want this blog to be a side blog, meaning a blog that is attached to an account you already have, or a Main, which would be its own blog. Be aware that only your main blog can send asks!!! This means that if you want to send an ask in-character from a side blog, you will have to send it on anonymous and include your @, like the ask pictured below.

If you are making a side blog, simply select your blog title, and then "Create a New Blog" from the dropdown menu on mobile.

On desktop, the new side blog option is listed on the sidebar of your home page, under "account".

Spend some time thinking about your URL (your @) since it's what everyone is going to call you, and you're going to have to type it a lot!! Here's some of our favorites to help you brainstorm:

Step 2: Designing your Pinned Post

A Pinned Post is a post that stays at the top of your blog, and gives everyone who visits your blog some basic information about your character. This is the place where you can really get creative, but to help you out, we'll provide a basic outline for you to use. Feel free to add or remove details as you wish!

Basic Pinned Post Outline:

Name: Age: Gender: Sexuality: Parentage: Some Personality Traits: Some of their Skills/Abilities:

Once you have filled out the outline, put it in a post, then click the three dots on the top corner of the post and select "Pin Post" to attach it to the top of your blog.

You can continue to edit the pinned post after it's added. If you want, you can visit blogs like @saradika-graphics and @animatedglittergraphics-n-more to find things to decorate your post and the rest of your blog with! Make it pretty!! Do what you love!!!

today marks ffxvi's first anniversary and i'm always so emotional about this game and even moreso now.

i talked about it on my rp blog but this game means a lot to me. it's helped me through grief, through anger, through so many emotions - and it's reminded me to look towards a better, brighter future and that i'm allowed to lean on others for support.

i also platinumed the game finally and finished my second playthrough as a celebration!! the ending destroyed me as always and it always makes me sad after i just finish it but then i remind myself that the signs for a happier future are all in there, and i think thats what the devs intended.

it's ambiguous, but you should hope for the brighter option, because of all clive, the hideaway and us as the player fought for. the world is ours to do as we please and we do have the freedom to choose of course, so no ending is wrong, but it's clear that in order to have a better tomorrow, you should hope and work for a better tomorrow - no matter the agony and suffering we experience.

clive as a character is so important to me, and i can't go into detail how much and what he means to me. one of ff's greatest protagonists for sure. his story and journey hits so close to me, and seeing him save himself makes the journey all the more memorable - and it's why i fully believe he lives at the end. his human will is so strong, that i don't think it would let him die. fate may have intended for him to die on that beach, but clive has fought fate so many times, that i genuinely believe he defies it one last time - a farewell to fate, forever.

the game comes into a full circle - though he lost joshua once again, this time he's not alone to suffer with it. and he finds jill again, just as he did in the beginning of the game. he comes back to her, just like she's wished for, just like he did once before.

clive won't be alone, and he won't ever be. cid was able to save clive from the fate that took benedikta, and in turn clive was able to save himself.

it's why instead of honoring his brother with revenge this time around, he honors him with remembrance. he writes the book in his name, so joshua won't be forgotten.

and that post-credits scene comes full circle with two brothers who love each other living the life that clive and joshua should have lived,

but it's ok now, because both of them sacrificed so much to make it so that people like them can live that peaceful life.

the years will be kinder on this game, we're already seeing the turn around for it a year later, and i fully think it'll be looked at as one of the greater modern ff games.

here's to many more years of celebration for this game!! genuinely one of my favorite games of all time, with a beautiful message. hopefully the pc release gets more eyes on this game and it impacts others the way it impacted me.

Do you have any material on artist/writer collaborations - either on the collaboration process, or on how to find a collaborator to begin with?

This is a great question, and not always one with a straight-forward answer! While many webcomic projects are solo projects for long-term logistics reasons, some webcomics follow a split of roles between writers and artists (or maybe further split for inkers/flatters/colorists/letterers). Collaborative teams like this can form in many ways, both formally or informally:

Comic creators may find more members for their team to hire from boards like Reedsy, communities like @cartoonistcoop, or hashtags events like PortfolioDay on social media

Writing and comic Discord servers can be good gathering places to make friends, learn about other peoples' projects, and get recommendations when someone has availability and interest for a collab. (Note that most creators you meet in these place will have their own projects, though, so don't go in expecting folks to immediately invest time in your work! Be respectful of their time and show interest/help out with their work too!)

RP or fan groups can be hotbeds for learning the storytelling styles of other people, and that may take comic form somewhere down the road!

Events with a deadline like anthology projects, NaNoWriMo, or Itch.io Game Jams, which often host forum and community spaces where creators can connect and collaborate for a short time and be done if it doesn't work out

Friends, spouses, and siblings often team up when they're into the same things

Some things that factor into whether or not potential collaborators will want to work with you on your comic project:

The scope of the project. Comic projects can take years, and short, deadline-driven projects can be easier to commit to than long-term ones.

Your experience. If you haven't ever finished a comic, collaborators may be cautious to work with you if they can't see concrete proof of what you're bringing to the table, or if they suspect they're going to be doing most of the work. For writers, be sure to have your ideas fairly fleshed out, and your plans as clear as possible. For artists, keep samples and portfolio pieces handy of comic work, not just illustrations. Show you know what your part entails and that you've done it before!

How compatible you are. Many great collaborations come from folks who know each other, enjoy each others' ideas, and work in a compatible way.

How much of a role they have in the creative process. Are you just looking for someone to draw your ideas? Or give you ideas to draw? Or are you interested in building something together?

Money! (though this isn't always a guarantee that the creators you talk to will have time, even if offered financial compensation)

Our best recommendation if you want more collaboration opportunities to come into your life is to see who's vibing with what you're doing in your circles, and see if there are small ways you can collaborate to test the compatibility of your work styles and get experience communicating with each other. Keep expectations clear, be ready to offer your labor to help others, and be flexible with adapting to others, adjusting your plans, or possibly contributing to projects that don't take off.

We also highly recommend this blog post of questions to ask when reaching out to hire someone. While this advice is written specifically about letterers, a lot of it applies to any member of a comic creator team!

The side quest.

I have been messing with the idea for a solo RP (meaning nothing connected to my main partners as of currently, normally we always combine storylines to make all our characters connect in some way) of Iona owning a bar where she has/wants to earn money to fix up the fixer-upper. Basically a 2 broke girls but it's 1 broke bun and a bar.

in her mission to improve the establishment, Iona takes on odd jobs, ventures into misadventures, and interacts with patrons who sporadically visit once the restorations begin. However, despite her best efforts, she consistently finds herself losing or spending the majority of her earnings before making substantial investments in the much-needed renovations.

Starter for our beloved daddy hoot hoot, @stolas-arsgoetia-rp

"From what I understand," the smooth-voiced bastard purred, his taloned foot pressing down harder on Blitz's windpipe, "you don't have the... shall we say, protection? That you once enjoyed. Did you think, little imp, that the rest of us wouldn't notice? That we were unaware of what Stolas was doing?" One of the Goetia's toes curled in, digging the talon in harder against Blitz's throat; if the imp's skin weren't so tough, it would already have torn open, but it was already on the verge as it was.

Blitz's feet scrabbled uselessly against the ground, but his hands were both wrapped around Vepar's leg. Snarling, he squeezed as hard as he could--but he was learning. Fuck, he was learning. He knew now just how gentle Stolas had always been with him, how careful. The Goetia were Hellborn, but they were so far above the imps when it came to their powers, their strength, their resilience... If Stolas has wanted to, ever wanted to, he could have crushed Blitz like an insect and never needed to look back, and all of Blitz's strength would've been useless to stop him--just as it was now, barely enough to even slow this fucker down. Still, he wasn't going to give up. Snarling, he squeezed and twisted, digging his own claws in as hard as he could.

"Yeah, birdboy? You like watching, huh?" Blitz's eyes were half-lidded as he said it, his grin one of pure suggestion, despite the fact that he might well be fighting for his damned life here. "I never figured you for the type, but hey, what do I know? Those who can't, watch. Or something like that."

"It's those who can't do, teach," Vepar corrected in exasperation. He pushed harder, leaning into it. "What did Stolas see in you?"

That actually got through to Blitz, a question that touched on too damn much trauma--a question that immediately triggered the anger. "Maybe he liked someone else seeing him," he snapped, and he bucked as hard as he could--not to get this beautiful damn bird off of him, because that wasn't going to work, but to get his tail out from under himself. His tail, and the weapon clipped around the spade, which this arrogant fucking bird probably hadn't noticed.

Vepar laughed. His rich voice was so low and warm, but the laugh came out as a titter, light and airy and sweet.

Blitz hated it. Someone who was trying to fucking kill him shouldn't sound so sweet.

"What is there to look at, imp? As far as Goetia go, Prince Stolas really is rather plain. He's--" But whatever else the bird might have been about to say was choked off by a screech of shocked pain.

Blitz snarled, thrusting the blade in deeper to the man's thigh with every ounce of strength his damn tail possessed. And the second he felt the foot on his throat lose its grip, he twisted free, rolling away entirely from the beautiful monster. Now would be the time to run--but that would be the smart choice.

Blitz wasn't known for making those.

Vepar was gripping his leg, black blood pumping out and flowing down. He looked up in surprise and seemed to be about to say something--and Blitz bowled into him. This fucker had abducted him. Mocked him. Tried to kill him. Mocked Stolas. After how horrible the last few weeks had been since Verosika's party, low as Blitz's spirits were, worn down as his resilience was, he was done. Done, done, done, done....

It was early morning, just before the sky would begin to lighten towards its usual red, that Blitz came to. When he tried to sit up, his head and neck seemed to explode with pain, throbbing and stiff. Swearing under his breath, he pushed himself to a sitting position. His entire body hurt, it felt trashed, but he was alive. For a moment, he didn't understand why he hadn't expected to be alive...

But then he saw the feathers.

Beautiful iridescent blue-green feathers, strewn across a marble floor. Blood everywhere. Some of that had to be Blitz's, he was torn to shreds, but more of is, so much more, had to belong to the Goetia laying there...

Motionless.

Blitz's eyes widened and everything in him went still. He stared, willing the man to move, to breathe--but he didn't. After long minutes passed, each an eternity, Blitz finally started to crawl towards him. The blood under his hands was cold, sticky, half-dry. The feathers stuck to him. He was vaguely aware of his own wounds, gouges and lacerations all over him, but he couldn't stop to think about them. He had to know...

Hand trembling, he reached out and rested it on Vepar's chest--and immediately covered his mouth with his other hand, to keep in his horrified cursing. Vepar was cold. There was no life in that body. No life, no movement, nothing. He was cold and dead.

Don't panic. Don't fucking panic. You just... you just murdered a fucking Duke or whatever the fuck he was, you just murdered a Goetia, it's fine. It's fine. It's fine... don't... just... just keep your shit together. He was going to be fucking executed for this. He--fuck. Fuck. Blitz started digging through Vepar's feathers. He didn't remember how the fight ended, but it obviously had ended, and it had been his victory, and--

There.

Buried in the Goetia's stomach. A glittering angelic-steel blade, of sorts. A beautifully filigreed spade-cap, made to clip around the end of his tail, deadly-sharp on both sides... and it had gone up through the Goetia's belly and into his heart.

With shaking hands and huge eyes, Blitz pulled it out. He put it back on, not wanting to carry it. The Duke's blood, dripping from it, weighed it down more than ever. Fuck, it was a newer weapon to him, but it was so light, and he had only just started wearing it and--when did I do this? When did I kill him? HOW? How...?

"Fuck me, fuck me, fuck me, fuck me." Blitz got to his feet, shaking. Hating this. He remembered taunting the fucker, remembered the start of the fight...

A sharp sound made him jump, then swear. It sounded like pots and pans were starting to be clattered in the kitchen. Of course. This fucker probably had staff. They were going to get up for the day and fucking, and fucking find him.

Blitz smashed through the nearest window without a second thought.

He should have gone home. He really, really should have gone fucking home. He meant to go home. But home was so far away, and when he passed by Stolas's palace, the familiar longing, the ache of the lost happiness, the realization that after this shit, he was never going to get to see him again because there was no way these fuckers weren't going to find him...

Blitz climbed the fence. It didn't matter that his wounds were starting to ache, that he could feel slit flesh gaping open. It didn't matter that his hands felt cold and numb, or that his tail still felt strange and heavy with the weight of the life he had taken. He just needed to see Stolas one more time. And given how early it was, Stolas was probably still asleep. Which meant as long as Blitz was quiet, as long as he just perched on the balcony railing and watched, maybe he could get a few minutes of pretending before everything fell apart.

He wasn't particularly graceful, but he made it up to the balcony off Stolas's bedroom and hunched there, like the worst sort of gargoyle, looking in at the darkened space. He didn't even know if Stolas was in there, but all the same, just being here... it felt... It felt like... Fuck. Blitz swallowed down the rising tide of emotion.

Just a few minutes. Just a few minutes, and then he would go.

Baxter's Alphabet

A- Aftercare (What are they like): Baxter is a very gentle person when it comes to aftercare, regardless of whether he was rough just a moment prior. One of his favorite things to do is take you to the bathtub and clean your body for you, making sure he is extra gentle around your sensitive areas. X- X-Rated (Do they watch porn to get off, or watch movies while you do it?): Since he is a bit of a voyeurist, he does enjoy watching p*rn, but he primarily enjoys watching the films you both make, making sure to intently watch how your face contorts and changes due to the different things he does. When you both have sex, he usually doesn’t have anything playing since he likes to be fully focused on you, but if you wish to put on some sort of music or a film in the background, he won’t be against it. He simply wishes to be able to hear all of your moans and your soft breaths while he roams your body.

Y- Yearning (How much do they do it with you?): He will do it just about any day you want him to. He will ask to do it probably at least twice a week, but it oftentimes ends up being much more than that since you two are a bit of a mess for each other. Since he is a sort of romantic and sensual type of lover, even his whispering something into your ear can get you going, and he will fully indulge you if you wish to have sex or a quickie.

Z- Zzz (How quickly do they fall asleep?): Baxter always makes sure you are taken care of before he rests, but he often tries to stay awake as long as possible to watch over you if you are in a public setting such as at a friend's house, or if the two of you are alone, he will try and stay up as long as possible just so he can continue to feel your slow breathing and your soft body against his, cherishing every moment he has with you. It typically takes him anywhere from 5-10 minutes to fall asleep, though, since you two go for multiple rounds.

firstly, i want to start this by saying this is a safe space if anybody has felt they've been victimized by natalie. this is for any issue - if you're not indigenous, i ask that you don't mention the indigenous issues! this entire thing has opened up all the things that you guys have experienced related to her and i think it's only fair for you to have your peace, as well. in saying that, just know this entire thing stemmed from natalie claiming she was indigenous since around 2016 (i believe) and should remain the main issue (i.e. not starting a discussion within the tags and sending anons all over about anything other than the main issue). but with this, she has now deactivated her blog and left the rpc, so please feel free to come to me and discuss how she's hurt you - because chances are i've had similar issues!

i just want to say what i need to say and i want you all to know natalie was my real friend (i thought). we followed each other on all real-life social media, besides fb, i felt we built an indigenous community together, and she was somebody i felt i could go to if there was ever an issue. this isn't rpc drama, this has affected me personally. i'm unsure if any other indigenous people have had a close relationship with her, as well, but for me, she was the first one i ever had. ever. in real life or online. this feels like a real friendship has ended and i'm doing what i can to move on.

natalie was the first indigenous friend i remember making on this blog. i've been on this specific blog for 6 years, i believe, and ever since i can remember, she has not only been a staple in the indigenous rpc but also the first person i remember connecting with on that level. a brief overview of our friendship goes from being mutuals, not necessarily talking very often, to then talking all the time (for most of the years), creating an indigenous people's server together, speaking about issues within rps that we've approached and talked with and rps that have been continuously problematic and we've had to post publicly.

we've talked about our culture, being white passing, reconnecting, issues within the rpc (and world, frankly) related to indigeneity, and all of our struggles. then we simply drifted off a bit in relation to speaking all the time - i'm unsure of what was going on in natalie's life these past few months, as i had taken a subconscious step back from the rpc to deal with my own life, sometimes make gifs, and speak to my commissions people. then, this entire thing came out and i reached out to natalie privately. up front, i will say of course i don't condone what has been done. we will no longer be friends (though i'm sure she made that decision first) and i will not accept any form of "but what if's" about the situation or her.

in reaching out, i asked if she was okay. i will not be posting screenshots as of now. she explained, in short, that she didn't know what was happening, she was blind-sighted, and was taking time to breathe, in a sense. from the beginning of my messages to her, i told her that only she "knows" one way or another what's true. if she's indigenous, then she has the information she needs to "prove" she's indigenous (which is a horrible way to say it but at that point in time, it was what it was) and told her even i don't know what to make of the situation.

she did not give me any explanation, a long message, or "proof"* for me to have her back, help her, and stand by her side. the few messages i got from her back were saying she blocked tumblr (then unblocked to speak to nikki @nikkiitalks - sending a 23 screenshot long message) and then reblock it. she ended up later on, unprompted, sending me copy/paste messages she was also sending lauren @tifffanyvalentine, even when we did not ask for information, or say the same things as each other. it was continuous copy/paste.

*when i speak about "proof" - always put in quotations because i don't mean it in the colonizer way of "if you're not x% you're not indigenous" but more so when speaking to her i asked for "something" for me to back her up. i meant more so specifics, like something that isn't just "my grandmother said", if that makes sense. because i'd undoubtedly believed her fully until this and her not speaking to me through this entire thing (somebody i thought would come to me), or saying anything other than "i can't believe this is happening" is not entirely convincing. i'm sure other indigenous people would react in different ways, but through talking with some in the rpc, we were all able to speak about things in a way that would completely eradicate the argument those other blogs (the ones that posted screenshots of natalie's life) tried to make. i didn't mean harm in "proving" anything, simply to give some reassurance!

the last message she sent me (and lauren) is as follows: "i've deactivated my blog for my mental health, left indigenousrph before doing so so hopefully that doesn't disappear, but you and ari (who i will be letting know) will have full control on what you want to do about it. i will probably be taking a break from discord as well, if i ever even decide to re-join discord. deactivating is something i've been thinking of since yesterday, and it is fully my choice i went with. i am sorry."

my reply to this was long, i'll spare this already extensive post, and stated that i asked her why she didn't come to me? if she "knows" she's indigenous, why didn't she just send ME information* that helps me to back her up? what was the issue? i didn't understand why she did what she did (not letting me / other indigenous peoples help her) when it could've been avoided altogether. i sent that at 5:27pm yesterday and have not received a reply.

*please check aforementioned paragraph about "proof" as this is the "information" i meant.

natalie had continuously made me uncomfortable, but not scared. i did not get the brunt of what she's done, as i've seen other people posting about her, but do understand the feeling. i'm a member of indigenousrph and the first time i decided to answer a post - this post - about can we use pretendians if we use them as their real ethnicity? i posted it. she messaged me on discord asking if she can add on. which then she did. her message contradicts mine. i'm of the mind: this is rp. unless somebody is an actual racist, abuser, etc. they're fine. even booboo stewart being played as an asian man, that's okay with me. but she had to be the voice for the indigenous, she would not allow me to have my own.

or if an opinion i made in the indigenous server we had did not match up to her standards, she would publicly disagree and then come to me in private. we've had "arguments" before. nothing vicious, but she made it well known what she believed (made it seem like it was fact) and that i should be the one to change my mind. i always had to placate her, to appease her. and not for nothing, she stated she started reconnecting after high school (or college?) unsure of the date. i've been reconnecting since i was 14/15. i'm 27, about to be 28 in november. i'm not saying i "know more" i'm saying i have more experience living as an indigenous person, period.

i have uplifted her, supported her, listened to her, and helped her through many things. and she has done the same to me. this is not an rpc issue - this is an issue that happened in the rpc. this hurt is real. i lost a friend. i trusted somebody who had been lying the entire time about something that is one of the most important things in my life. my identity, our identity. i hope this isn't something you see and the take away is "don't believe indigenous people" or "always question indigenous people" or not take us seriously when we speak, answer questions, write guides, or call anti-indigenous things out. this is a one in a million thing that happened, please remember that.

this is almost the end! i wanted to thank the ally's that came to me directly, privately, to show their support without taking away from the issue. @madelyncilne (el, my bestest friend of all time, you know how i feel), @dinadenoires (taylor, you're such an amazing person you don't even know the support you give to me, especially during this time), drea (who is no longer in the rpc, but whom i've become very close with and think of her as a friend i can turn to when i need to, has been backing me up since this whole thing started), @maidavika (serre, you've been updated on this entire thing and no matter what i said, you couldn't believe this was actually happening - you were validating me and supporting me throughout), @silverduckie (katie, you were the very first non-indigenous person to reach out to me and ensure i was doing okay when you didn't have to and i thank you immensely), @katherine-mcnamara (dev, even though you were thrown into this, you've shown nothing but kindness to me and to the indigenous community consistently), @rey1x1 (rey, i thank you for checking in when i was leaving servers, even though i didn't think anybody would notice, and for your compassion offered to me), @gordonramsei (emily, even when you had your own "drama" going on, you still were able to come ask me how i was doing).

i wanted to give this space to the indigenous people who have banded together during this time (specifically to me, i know there's others out there!) @ladysgodiva (rosie, for being my ride or die, my cousin, my rez dog when needed, i can always turn to you for the laughs and to say the hard things that need to be said), @tifffanyvalentine (lauren, you have no idea how much i love you dude, we've bonded so much and shared so many real experiences together), @quietanarchy (beau, loving that you're so straightforward and are able to be so open about your own experience and lift us all up), @nikkiitalks (nikki, i've always thought of you as a mother figure - not because you're OLD! but because that's the kind of comforting energy you bring, especially towards me whether you know it or not), @heartbsl (tk, for being an honorary indian member even though you're kānaka maoli, you know exactly what we're going through and have been nothing short of amazing this entire time).
