A- Aftercare (What are they like): Very gentle, loves to pamper the other person, and greatly appreciates it when their partner gives them aftercare too, even if it is a simple spooning cuddle session or if it is bathing the other. He often tends to hold you close to his chest, threading his fingers through your hair as your breathing regulates, and gives you gentle forehead kisses.

B- Body Part (Their favorite of their own and yours): His favorite is his arms because he is confident in his strength when it comes to picking you up. He loves your legs, specifically your thighs, because they are a nice size for him to lay his head against when the two of you are relaxing or after everything is said and done.

C- Cum / Clothes After (Where they do it): He often pulls out if he doesn’t use a condom and c*ms purposefully on their stomach, their legs, or on a towel if available. After everything is said and done, he prefers to put on his underwear and shorts, lending you his shirt if it is oversized on you. D- Dirty Secret (A dirty secret or a guilty pleasure during sex): He won’t ever admit it, but he secretly likes it when you talk dirty to him in public spaces when no one is paying attention or when anyone can’t hear. E- Experience (How experienced are they): You both got together when he was 17 and you were 16. (For the sake of things, you can swap the ages if your birthday comes before his, which is November 2nd.) He previously had one girlfriend when he was in middle school, but it never went anywhere because he secretly had eyes for you the whole time and was too scared to admit it. You were the first person he was ever intimate with, which also allowed you to teach him things, though he had already researched a bit before doing anything with you. The first time you both ever did anything he was absolutely flustered out of his mind, stuttering the whole time and making sure you felt good as if he would die on the spot if you didn't.

F- Favorite Position: If it wasn’t obvious, he wasn’t very skilled in knowing about many different positions and how to properly do them, so he typically has you both in missionary. He loves it when you ride him, though because he gets a wonderful angle of you and he loves watching the way he's able to make you feel.

G- Goofy (Are they serious at the moment, goofy, nervous, etc.): Often he gets a bit carried away at the moment before realizing what he does, causing him to get flustered and making him ask, "Does this feel okay?". "Oh god, I didn’t hurt you, did I?" He tends to laugh a tiny bit whenever you do something more direct or dominant, such as wrapping your legs around his waist making him go silent for a moment before continuing.

H- Horny (How horny do they typically get and what is their desire to do things): Often, when he is off visiting his mom and you aren’t with him. at least one of the nights he will jerk off at the thought of you under him or you whispering in his ear. Something he will never admit is that one time when he called you at his mom's, he was touching himself and quickly ended the call before he finished. Something that makes him get lightheaded is when you drag your tongue along his neck or collarbone. I- Intimacy (How are they during the moment, romantically, do they touch a lot, sensual?): He often doesn’t know what to do with himself physically because he gets very nervous and second-guesses himself, leaving you to help him figure out where to touch. After your third time having sex, he has the things that make you moan the loudest burned into his brain, making him instantly do whatever that is.

J- (Jack off, how often do they?): He wasn’t really one to touch himself before your relationship because he always thought it was disrespectful to think about you that way without knowing you also reciprocated the feeling. After you got together, he did it about once a week.

K- Kink (One or more of their kinks): He has a HUGE praise kink since he is a bit nervous. He loves hearing how good he makes you feel, and that is often almost enough for him to cum on the spot without you even touching him. M- Motivation (What turns them on): He instantly gets weak in the knees when you breathe along his neck or give him gentle kisses along his collarbone. He likes it when you are more direct in the beginning, such as by pushing him against a wall or whispering dirty things in his ear because it reassures him fully that you do want him.

N- NO (What is off-limits, or something they would not do during sex?): Choking: He WILL NOT purposely choke you unless you specifically guide him where to put his hands and how much pressure to apply. He is also against physically hurting you, like spanking. Despite this, he will toss you on the bed if you were being a tease to him earlier in the day.

O- Oral (How good are they? Do they prefer receiving or giving): He definitely likes it when you give him handj*bs, blowj*bs, etc. More often than not, though, he enjoys eating you out when you’re pressed against a wall. He likes watching how your legs give out with the way he flattens his tongue against you. Probably it is a 6:4 ratio of him eating you out and you giving him either of the jobs.

P- Pace/Physical (Are they fast and rough? How quickly? Do they like to bruise or give hickeys?) Since you are the first person he has ever been intimate with, he often finishes really quickly. Q- Quickie (How often and their opinions on this over proper sex): He definitely prefers proper sex in the bedroom or somewhere more comfortable where he can take his time and really make sure you’re satisfied, but if you request to do a quickie, he often won’t turn you down.

R- Risk (Are they willing to do it with others around?): When it was earlier in your guy’s relationship, he was 100% against doing it when his dad or your friends could hear, but over time, as you guys learn about each other's bodies, he will do quickies in another room quietly. Later, when you guys are alone, he will give you what you deserve.

S- Stamina (How many rounds and how long are the rounds): He is pretty average when it comes to stamina, usually 2 or 3 rounds, unless you eg him on for another or if you edge him into another.

T- Toy (Do they own some or use it on themselves or their partner): He isn’t the biggest fan of toys, and he would prefer to be touched by you or to touch you. If you request toys, he isn’t against using them on you, but again, he doesn’t like using them on himself unless he is alone and you can’t satisfy him yourself. 

U- Unfair (How much they like to tease or get teased): He won’t ever admit it, but he does love it when you tease him. He finds it super attractive when you know the little things that turn him on. Only when you begin teasing him will he lightly tease you back, but it often blows up in his face with you teasing him even more.

V- Volume (How loud are they and what sounds do they make): When there aren't any risk factors, he will get very loud, whining, and breathy groaning. When he gets carried away, he often cries out, repeating your name multiple times. He absolutely loves hearing your voice, so he aims to make you feel as good as he can. (Bonus points if you say his name when you finish, which often makes him cum on the spot regardless if you are touching him.) 

W- Whispering (Do they like to keep you quiet or themselves or go all out): He often is quiet during a quickie, where he only grunts and gives quiet praises such as "Yeah" or "Just like that". Y- Yearning (How much do they do it with you?): He generally can go couple weeks without any touching, but after that, he craves you. He will regularly have sex with you 1-3 times a week, with the occasional quickie thrown in the mix. 

Z- Zzz (How quickly do they fall asleep?): He often gets flooded with emotions before, during, and even after everything is all said and done, so he gets tired very easily, which leaves you to give him aftercare. He will make sure, though, that after every session he reassures you of how well you did or gives you some sort of pampering before resting. This is the time when he gives you the most softest kisses in the world and presses his hands against you like you're silk.

there is nothing so cruel as memory — and this not only applied to the jarring snapshot that barton was given of a much happier time in his life through the photograph he found. he couldn't help but start to reflect upon how both louis, as well as matilda, weren't even six months old whenever marceline died. which meant that they would only ever and still do only know of their mother through barton's word of mouth. with that, the level of sorrow that came from knowing that he had everything one day and the next, he only had but a fraction of that was something he was convinced would kill him back then.

but the fact of the matter was, barton knew deep down that that was something he couldn't let happen. because matilda and louis needed him. so making peace with marcy's death was, unfortunately, a harsh reality barton had to face. the doctor did contribute finding winslow, his surrogate father, mostly all up to luck after all. and so giving up on them was not an option. but the toxic point of view that barton's bio father likely would've enforced upon him (to simply 'pull himself up by the bootstraps' as if it were that easy) wasn't going to work. so, therapy seemed like the most viable option to help him cope with the massive amount of grief he felt.

thankfully, going to it was the right decision in the end. the funny thing about grief, though, is that it isn't linear. and like the waves of an ocean... the feeling that you're missing someone fundamental to your life comes back in to hit you when you least expect it. barton flexed one of his hands repeatedly as he tried to get his mind off of it. he supposed that, eventually, doing nothing in this space would end up making him and possibly jervis as well lose their marbles anyhow. barton's work. before he had gotten into their current mess, he was working on a new 'piece,' he thought.

well, the deadline that the doctor had to finish it by before was hopeless for him to reach now. they wanted it in just two weeks time and who knows how long they'd have to be camping out in the old car warehouse? but that could easily be explained away. just like artists couldn't be rushed, barton didn't produce his 'dolls' well under a lot of pressure. nerves and skin alike were delicate. it made him wonder whether jervis still remembered the woman who'd been on his autopsy table when they met.

for even though the horror of it all was something barton was used to by now, even relished in... he was a very empathetic person and so barton could see how it could haunt the other in a way. so the expression 'different as night and day' might as well have been created for them all things considered. barton scratched at the IV in his wrist, mentally figuring out if he could give jervis more pain meds than jack had administered to him. assuming his son had given him the proper dosage. barton hummed noncommittally before deciding to consult jack about it first.

❝ i suppose my son's bedside manner was lacking a bit when he gave you that tea, then. i mean he obviously meant well, but i think it would've been easier for you to drink it with a straw, ❞ an amused snort left barton and pretty much guaranteed that he wasn't mad at jack for it afterward. he was still young after all - and he was still trying to drill all of the 'in's and out's' of medicine that he could teach him into his head. but it didn't seem to be where jack's passion lied, the line the other uttered aloud being what ultimately broke barton out of his thoughts.

the room proceeded to become deafeningly silent at that moment. squinting at the other was the doctor's immediate response, trying to recall where exactly he might've heard that. maybe it was biblical? barton was surprised that jervis would recite it, though, in that case because he didn't peg him as the 'religious type.' it sounded like he was expressing to barton that he supposed he might've felt like he wished his suffering could be quantified, however. categorizing his misery in those years seemed like an impossible venture though... but perhaps that was the point of the whole quote?

barton didn't want to be considered a 'victim' of his father, and from the way this was sounding, jervis almost seemed to be implying that. he could acknowledge that wesley put him through pain but he didn't want to redefine who he was in the process. heat began to rush to barton's head, and it was like he felt like he wanted to jump out of his own skin. ❝ yeah. you don't know anything about me, because even if you witnessed everything my father did? you wouldn't understand how it made me feel because you'd still be separated from it all. ❞

barton admittedly sounded a bit bitter as he spoke, but didn't care to address that right now. jervis was comparing their situations and it made him inhale sharply whilst he covered his face with both palms. he had nothing to say about that, though, but when what he guessed were babies were brought up... he ran his hands down his face to finally reveal it once more. ❝ mm, well, i could discuss how senselessly out of control some of the events that have happened to me and to others around me have seemed all day with you. but i don't want to. its depressing, but yes, my son is adopted but he's still mine. and that's better than what would've happened if the two of them remained abandoned for longer. ❞

barton stated this in a very 'matter-of-fact' tone before he turned over all the cards that he pulled for jervis. then, seemingly right on time, jack came back into the picture with breakfast for dinner for him. that plate was gently set on the bedside cabinet. barton looked over to his son as if to check on him then. yes, he actually did appear to have taken on a pallor. barton tilted his head and promptly inquired to jack about it, ❝ are you feeling okay, punaise d'amour? (lovebug?) ❞ his son scratched the back of his neck and gnawed on his bottom lip.

❝ yeah. i probably just need to eat, like jervis said. i'll be right back, ❞ jack stifled a smile and subsequently left, not even giving barton a second to protest. he shook his head only partially jokingly afterward while saying, ❝ ugh, that boy... if he was feeling bad then i easily could have got it for him. but i guess we're starting with the 'wheel of fortune' card. ❞

Bright domes of blood welled up from the corner of Jervis' mouth; his earlier, absent worrying with his teeth had succeeded in breaking the thin skin yet again. The yuja tea took on a faint ruddy tint, a visual stimuli preceding the taste of iron on his tongue. He tried to lick it away as discreetly as he could behind his cup, still chewing meditatively on the rind, bowing his head and letting his hair cover his profile for the briefest of moments.

Better my lip than my cuticles or my hair. The last thing I need is to start wearing knit caps all the time, or to pick up a fungal infection from this wretched place. One more reason to scrub myself raw and bury every possible inch in a hundred layers of clothing, eh? Old habits died hard; kicking and screaming as they were buried. Some were easier to tame. Others proved more obstinate, harder to shake; their roots sunk deep.

Trauma and time changes us all.

Barton's agitation swirled around him like a dark cloud; foreboding. A marionette with scorching strings, desperately trying to maintain his center of gravity. Those talons he called fingernails were restless; always moving, always touching. Somehow, it reminded Jervis of a hawk keeping vigil. That thought wasn't exactly comforting, if he were being completely honest. He flinched as the memory of their first encounter, so many weeks ago in the other man's workshop, came bubbling to the surface; ripples in a cistern, deep and dark and unfathomably placid. The kind of quiet that said, "Don't look away."

Jervis' stomach pitched as he recalled the corpse Barton had uncovered; what he had done to her face.

The scalpel had glided with precision, following the intricate pathways of the supraorbital and supratrochlear nerves—key branches of the trigeminal nerve, those delicate conduits that carried every flicker of sensation from the scalp and forehead to the brain. Though that was a moot point, considering none of these nerves or even the skin itself were alive any longer.

Just atoms and molecules; a patchwork of bone, blood, muscles and sinew; dregs of various neurochemicals and hormones long halting as the vitality they once sustained shuffled off the mortal coil, grown stagnant. But still undeniably a person. Human. Utterly devoid of dignity in death; an affliction all suffer, in some shape or form.

Each was duly severed, spawning an unseen fire in their wake. Dispassionate. Meticulous. Gloved fingers swept through the woman's hair, clearing the path; dyed a dishwater-blonde, slightly curly.

Jervis swallowed hard, the chill cutting deeper than skin; positively algid. Barton’s boots scraped faintly against the concrete, his IV pole swaying in tandem. Under the flickering lights, his tousled curls caught the gleam, fair strands shimmering like fragile, golden lacework. He paused beside Jervis' own IV, studied it.

"A bit of both, I think..." No sense in hiding it. It was plainly writ in the overwrought cast of his shoulders, the tension in his jaw; the dim light in his eyes. Jervis tightened his grip on the blanket, on the teacup. Cast his eyes about the room. Wary, half-hooded. Dark gray irises shone against the whites, through his lashes, landed on the cards Jack had cut and dealt.

His heart sunk, as Barton spoke of his son. Paternal instinct and empathy flared again; a gleam of recognition, in a sense, too. A soft, rueful, humorless sort of chuckle escaped him, quick as a hiccup.

"'Oh, that my vexations were but weighed, and all my calamities laid in the balance.'"

Barton's hand froze on the IV. The absence of those pearly white lenses or that hideous mask did nothing to temper the intensity of his gaze; a blonde lock fell across his forehead as he tilted his head; scrutinized him, features as blank as if they'd been scrubbed clean of any nuance by unseen hands. Not quite anger, or so it seemed; not quite amusement at his extemporaneous rehash, either... curiosity? Confusion? Consternation? He couldn't tell. But it rolled off him all the same.

Jervis' ears flushing were the only signs he had any blood still circulating in his system, his pallor was so pronounced. He bowed his head; shook it softly. Shrugged in apology. Forget it. It's nothing; I meant nothing by it. Tapping his nails anxiously against the porcelain saucer clutched loosely in his fingers. Bloody hell... did I really just say that out loud? "Sorry... it's the first thing that came to mind... I didn't mean for it to slip out, wasn’t trying to come off..." He sighed, cheeks expanding; breath whistling faintly; eyebrows bunching together.

So, you want to make an RP Blog. Where the heck do you even start???

Hello, future User!! We're so excited you're considering joining us here in the Riordanverse RP community!!! First and foremost, we want to say that everyone is welcome here, no matter your location, your reading experience, or the amount of blogs you already have!! We want you here, and we're more than happy to invite you in!

Many of our new prospective users have been asking us how to even begin, and we know this can be a scary thing to deal with, especially if you've never done an RP blog before. Never Fear, this is the step-by-step guide you've been looking for!

So, Let's get started!!! ◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈━◈

Part 1: Creating/Choosing your Character

Step 1: OC or Cannon?

To begin, of course, we have to decide who we want to play! Do you want to portray a character that already exists, or would you like to create one that is entirely yours? There are no wrong answers!

A Cannon Character is a character from the books. We have a good spread of them here on the database, and please don't be intimidated by the duplicates! It's bound to happen, and it's more than okay! Just choose a character you like and think about how you want to portray them.

An OC or Original Character is a character that is made up, but still fits into the lore of the universe they are being portrayed in. This is not specific to the Riordanverse, but we'll stay focused on Riordanverse OCs for this post. (If you are not part of the Riordanverse and you're using this post to make a blog, just disregard the specific details!!!)

Step 1A: OC Basics

If you settled on making an OC, you'll need to decide a couple things to start you off! For us here, you'll decide the following (roughly): What is their name? What are their Pronouns/gender? Who will their parents be? We'll decide what they look like next! Don't worry!

Step 2: Character Portrayal

Now that you've decided who you're playing, we can get into the fun stuff, like what your character looks like and what abilities they have! You will need an icon of your character for your blog.

Icon Options

If you're portraying a cannon character, the Read Riordan website has the official art for most of the Cannon characters. These are always a safe bet for Icons. If you choose to use other art, please be sure to Credit the Artist, either in your Bio or your pinned post, and always ask for permission. If you can't give credit and get permission, you can't use the art!!!

If you decided to make an OC, thats amazing!!! The most common place our OC users get their portrayals is from Picrew, a website that allows you to make character icons that look like anything you can imagine! They have a TON of options, so give them a try!

Another option is to search Pinterest for a real life Face Claim, but if you choose to use a real person, please be sure to credit that person in your bio or pinned post.

Character Bio

Once you have your Icon, you'll need to collect some more information to put into your Character's Bio. The best place to look for this information is the Riordanverse Fandom Wiki. It has a list of cabin pages, each of which has lists of abilities, personality traits, and other such things for the children of each god that can help you build your character. Now that we're going more in-depth, let's answer a few more questions:

What powers does your character possess?

What do they fight with?

Do they have any special talents or quirks?

What is their personality like?

Now that you have all the essentials down, we can get to the fun part! Making the blog!!!!

Part 2: Creating your Blog

Step 1: Side Blog or Main

To begin, decide if you want this blog to be a side blog, meaning a blog that is attached to an account you already have, or a Main, which would be its own blog. Be aware that only your main blog can send asks!!! This means that if you want to send an ask in-character from a side blog, you will have to send it on anonymous and include your @, like the ask pictured below.

If you are making a side blog, simply select your blog title, and then "Create a New Blog" from the dropdown menu on mobile.

On desktop, the new side blog option is listed on the sidebar of your home page, under "account".

Spend some time thinking about your URL (your @) since it's what everyone is going to call you, and you're going to have to type it a lot!! Here's some of our favorites to help you brainstorm:

Step 2: Designing your Pinned Post

A Pinned Post is a post that stays at the top of your blog, and gives everyone who visits your blog some basic information about your character. This is the place where you can really get creative, but to help you out, we'll provide a basic outline for you to use. Feel free to add or remove details as you wish!

Basic Pinned Post Outline:

Name: Age: Gender: Sexuality: Parentage: Some Personality Traits: Some of their Skills/Abilities:

Once you have filled out the outline, put it in a post, then click the three dots on the top corner of the post and select "Pin Post" to attach it to the top of your blog.

You can continue to edit the pinned post after it's added. If you want, you can visit blogs like @saradika-graphics and @animatedglittergraphics-n-more to find things to decorate your post and the rest of your blog with! Make it pretty!! Do what you love!!!

When you make a new blog, the Ask Box will be closed by default. Make sure you open it before you start reaching out to people. They will want to send you asks back!!!

Now that your blog is up and running, it's time to start reaching out to the community!!! Here are some options for you to start talking to people:

users are always nervous to do this, even with experience, but we promise it is always more than welcome! This is what the database was created for!! Click around, find your cabin mates or your fellow gods, and send a few messages! There's no better way to get started!!

Submit a User Spotlight

This blog provides a promotion for users called a User Spotlight. This is a small post sent out to the whole community with information about your character, provided by you! Guidelines for this process can be found at this link. It's a good way to get seen!

Let the Database know you're here

Once you've set up your blog, come tell us about it! We'll post your ask and add you to our lists to make it easier for people to find you!!!

next was reffy!!! reffy was split on november 27th 2019!!! this is the day we joined a danganronpa rp WRHKSDFGH discord server n met our bfff <33 we didnt rly have friends at the time and were generally struggling with social things,, so jax kinda put all of his traits he deemed most "likeable" in2 reffy and created him to be the ideal version of himself that ppl would like and went dormant for a whileee ,,, it took reffy a while 2 properly develop as a person but he is vry important to our system cuz of what he represents!!! we celebrate his birthday every year too :33

soo for a while it was just us 5!! we thought we had other alters sometimes cuz identity is wacky (plus we r like all made up of fragments tbhh)

then august of last year driell split!!! he was made on purpose (by jax AGAAAAINNNN) cuz him & his bf in our partner sys decided 2 have kids!!! he doesnt front vry much cuz hes rly socially awkward and a lot of our daily life requires TALKING TO PPL but we want him to front more D:

and THENNNN early this year we went thru ,... EVENTS!!!! and it kinda threw our whole system function OUT THE WINDOWWW BUT ITS OKAY!!!!

noxious split as a direct response 2 the Event .,, it started as a reffy clone tbh (we were actually planning 2 integrate them at first) but its slowly developing its own identity totally separate!! it fronted a lot in september and made a lotta progress w that :D sily dog creechur

fen has been around 4 a while but she was a "sub alter" to reffy and went by reffen but a few months ago we had a think and went HMMMM U KNOW. ACTUALLY SHE IS LIKE THEIR WHOLE OTHER PERSON SHE IS NOT A SUB ALTER ANYMORE!!! so we let them split off completely n its been better for both them and reffy !!!!

AND LASTLYYYY ZANE!!! he split on november 9th of this year!!! so some prior context jax is made up of a TONN of fragments just cuz of how his trauma holding function works. but he doesnt rly like splitting any of them off cuz hes . WEIRD. but we went to an emo night party and one of the fragments in him had a WHOLE AWAKENING listening to mcr and fallout boy and getting drunk in the moshpit (more context jax refuses to listen 2 anything but green day cuz HES!!! WEIRD!!!!) and it took like 3 days of internal deliberation but jax FINALLY DECIDED to let him be his own person!!!! and hes very happy that way X)
