I am five seconds away from creating Help Wanted posters for the Devourer fight in the Catacombs DONE AND DUSTED NEVER AGAIN

#w101 #wizard101 #literally spent 4-5 hours doing it yesterday night with a friend and two random players #one of them was the hitter and the other a life wiz who Refused to heal #my fire wiz friend was the other hitter and i got delegated to being healer and boost dealer… despite being a storm w 5k health #also fun fact! this is one of those fights where you need to stay alive by the end of it for it to count as done <33 #we found out the hard way <33 #the storm hitter and the life wiz (who spammed bad juju and nothing else.) got their quests done and ditched us #so. if anyones a healer and Willing to go through that fight then that would be much appreciated #pretty sure its the last dungeon in the catacombs too… so close to being done w that questline QQ #we did our best it should of counteddd <//333 #matter of fact i will DRAW ur wizzy in full-colour if u r willing to help us get the quest done (fr this time) /srs #(i am fr abt the art btw)

saw a post about projecting your ethnicity onto a character and started missing vespa ilkay. so so bad

#pov u grow up in a 3rd world country(/planet) where healthcare workers are exported by the thousands like cheap produce to richer countries #it's your ticket out of poverty as long as you can deal with the loneliness the separation from everyone you know the discrimination etc #ive never talked about my hc that vespas mother was one of them sending money every month visiting every couple of years until it just stop #like why return to the swamps when youre doing fine working on a richer planet w much better living conditions #cost of living rises every year. sending home a % of your salary used to be enough to support your husband and daughter and then it isnt #you know how it goes #vespa is also dead set on this path until ranga realizes that hemorrhaging healthcare workers leaves them with little to none of their own #students on scholarships or in community/state universities are bound by return service agreements and are forbidden to leave the country #until theyve rendered a few years of work on ranga to pay back their tuition + as a really shitty solution to the brain drain problem #this is real in my country btw but my professors say a lot of ppl do break their rsa's and fucked off to work in other countries LOL #our state unis can barely afford decent facilities they do nottt have the budget to chase down their own alumni in other countries!#but the mental image is a bit funny #vespa ilkays first crime: tinakasan ang rsa #i do also think it lines up with her having a network of med friends everywhere in the galaxy (heart of it all) you kind of go into pre/med #expecting most of your classmates to leave to work in other countries eventually. mine are aiming for the usa / uae / europe / japan etc #anyway whether vespa breaks her rsa or not she leaves ranga asap decides to switch careers and the rest is history #i also deeply love the fact that she's superstitious i'm very sad it wasn't highlighted more (i've only heard s1-3)#as someone who did grow up in a rural area and went to more albularyos/folk healers than doctors in my childhood. (they never failed me)#lots of folk illnesses (ex. balis; pasma) local medical superstitions (dont eat noodles in hospital; youll have a really toxic shift) etcc #theres also a lot of potential in tying her past as a rangian + med student + assassin to me idk how to word this properly #being raised on cautionary tales of not to touch/disturb anything in the swamps then being given free reign to poke & prod at things in her #lab classes (now with the proper ppe)....she was having so much fun with the curemother prime too lmao #years of walking hanging bridges docks boathouses in ranga etc gave her great balance & stealth #cracking open alien shellfish in the swamps to cutting open bodies for studying then for assassination....#I MISS HER SO MUCH BALIK KN SAKEN 😭😭😭😭😭😭#i get why most people + the canon focuses on her being an assassin bc people find that cooler i guess #but vespa being a swamp girl > 3rd world med student > assassin is so personal To Me. the whole pipeline. eugh.#skl.txt

#we had a mentor. sam. who pulled ahead of me EVERY time and then stood directly with me ALWAYS #she was always half-health and our ast was struggling to keep ME up dude it was #a nightmare #last fight our summoner would get chained and i was the only one putting damage into helping her #the sam would literally just ignore it lmao #it was so much #the only time i've wished i wasn't drk so i could like. help. LOL.#we wiped once and i used literally all of my mitigation and we STILL WIPED idk how i'm suffering #xiv blogging #i only chased the sam with a tankbuster once because she kept standing right with me. so i was like fine our tankbuster.#... she stopped standing with me LOL #our summoner and healer died like three times each resing each other also hdafkdjl it was so much.

It occurred to me the other day that Asbel is the only party member without *any* sort of spell artes. I guess friendship really is his magic 😅

#dolphin plays graces again #It suits his character though to be the aggro tank. He's protecting the others 😤#Him and Sophie both have high defense actually which makes sense they're both sacrificial idiots. i love them 💜💜#With Sophie out of the party rn (Lambda laser to the chest 😔) and me wanting to try other characters I now have a party of all spellcasters #The strategy seems to be 'ok ONE of us is going to have a bad time but as long as everyone else is fine our explosions can keep happening'#Richard and Hubert are strong in melee actually they're just so frail they keel over at the slightest touch 😅 drama kings.#Sorry for all the gameplay meta rambling the combat system's definitely growing on me as I figure it out more #Though the only character Im actually good w is Asbel 😅 I'm a melee player myself and like I said he's the only exclusive one #I should play Sophie more but she's the best healer and I need her on that 🙏#Cheria's great for big heals and big spell damage but Sophie can heal quickly and reliably #Which is important bc RICHARD AND HUBERT KEEP DYING 😩#Pascal and Malik mostly do fine but I think Pascal is just Better Malik 😅 sorry Captain #anyway those are my thoughts on the battles. no idea if my experiences are normal or if I'm just bad at this game 😅

i'm very :3 because the dark urge being fully customizable might be thanks to my very enthusiastic suggestion as a playtester.....I mean maybe other playtesters who came after me (my group was apparently the first to try the dark urge out, at least in gent, because the group before us didn't even know that origin existed) suggested it too, I don't know, but :3 even if I'm just one of the people who suggested it, I'm :3 because HELL YEAAAAH!!!!

I loved the dark urge so much (even though I couldn't finish my playthrough with them, since they were my second playthrough of the playtest) that i was like "this is too good, since they're not a companion origin story u guys need to make it possible to play them as any race not just the dragonborn variations"

AND THEY DIIIIID i'm so happy!!!!

#baldur's gate 3 #bg3 #bee talks #I legit screamed when they said it during the last panel from hell #finally i can talk about this #me playing with my customized dark urge character: HEHEHEHE THIS IS EVERYTHING I EVER WANTEEED #also insane to see my name in the credits like wow #also idk maybe it was always planned for the dark urge to be fully customizable but #during my playtest they could only be a dragonborn #and all the promo art/etc is the dragonborn #so I assume it wasn't??#wish my memory wasn't so bad because i suggested it at least twice but i don't remember if i did it only in written form or aloud as well #in which case they didn't tell me 'oh yeah we were already gonna do that' because i would've remembered that at least #ANYWAY ANYWAY #I'M JUST EXCITED #also i might have something to do with the alchemy window #because there wasn't any and i was the idiot with no healer in my party whatsoever so i was relying on potions and so on day 2 or 3 #I complained that alchemy wasn't intuitive enough and the dev looked at the other dev like 'oh yeah we could ask to add that'#'shouldn't be too hard'#and then two weeks later they asked us to focus some of our feedback on alchemy specifically #but tbh i doubt i was the first and only one who suggested an alchemy window because god crafting straight from the inventory was HELL #it was all trial and error digging in the inventory trying to find the components #and there was no alchemy pouch. and no 'automatic' recipes. pain and suffering #lastly: if we get an ace character / ace romance options in the next divinity game: you're welcome #anyway sorry what are these tags god i can't shut up can i #i'm just so happy i got to have a small tiny part in this amazing game!!!#it's wonderful seeing everyone enjoying it so much the devs are so passionate and worked so hard!!!#and I'm having a blast too playing it without all the bugs and unfinished cutscenes bahahaha #BG3 GOTY!!!!!

#‘oh youre just bad at it’ i am bad at it because its bad game design. i rest my case #im not even bad at it. i could definitely clear and 36 star if i wanted to. however i should not have to take 40 shots at thr same content #trying to random luck my way into mashing the right set of buttons and miaculously not getting hit because the hp pools are too high to lose #a single percent of your dps bringing a healer or. for that matter. actually healing.#this is i think why Neuvillette has such a good rep. hes basically invincible at c1 which means you #dont have to retry the same chambers over and over because he keeps getting one-shot. because lets all look into our hearts at this moment #his damage is not that much higher than any other dps character’s damage. he just also heals and fits into the current meta #people used to say the same shit theyre saying about neuvillette about nahida #and once natlan comes out the meta will change once again. hp builds will once again become unnecessary in abyss. bennet will make a #reemergence. overload meta will become real. there will be one character who is good to use in burgeon teams theyll be burgeon nilou. this #is my natlan prediction #part of it anyway #and then we will get shneznaya and there will be a character who does damage based on how high you can get their crit over 100% but they #wont be that meta theyll be like cursed with low modifiers. but nonetheless the meta will change again.#im in a love hate relationship with the genshin meta because it is in a love-hate relationship with itself #board certified my post #board certified metaposting

also maybe i’m just autistic but how do people survive entire bubbles of light being put around their head that sounds like sensory hell

new doctor tool unlocked: led strips. just put those bad boys up and play around with the remote and boom, simultaneous party and medical care because the patient's bleeding out at the party

I can't recall off the top of my head, but have the elves invented colorful light yet? I can't remember an instance where their light fixtures weren't white/yellow--blue balefire doesn't count because that's fire and we're talking about artificial light. And i'm talking about the light cast, not the color of the fixture Do they just not have the technology for a colorful flashlight.

ALSO! How are they making the candle flames different colors...I know they probably got fancy elf materials, but in our world you gotta burn chemicals for that and I can't help thinking that maybe. That's not a good idea for medical practice. You've got a lung infection? Just let me set this lithium chloride on fire in this enclosed space and hold it right next to you so the light reaches.

You're right though, light close to the eyes does sound bad. Luckily that's only for injuries close to the head (as opposed to like, a ball of light by your foot for a broken ankle), but I'd have to close my eyes. if Elwin can see internal mechanisms through my skin, he can work through my eyelids.
