Okay, so we have to start with the start of their interactions, what we all consider their anniversary, April Fools! This was so gay it got to be annimated twice! That's how iconic the moment is!

I cannot speak enough about how Kaito impressed Shinichi so much he waxed poetry about his arrival! Shinichi, who started this episode saying he isn't interested in a simple thief ends it with a fascination for him that ends with him being known as the KID Killer because he loves to chase him.

And their next encounter is them WORKING TOGETHER. Like damn they move quickly! Sure, Shinichi was sick but Kaito helped take care of him (damn we already got our hurt/comfort) and Shinichi already starts with the excuses to let him go!

Then there is the fact that Kaito's own show tells us HE DESIGNS HIS HEISTS FOR SHINICHI. I mean how gay can they get?! Kaito who is very vocal about disliking detectives and seeing them as "critics" yet here he is going out of his way to dazzle one of these detectives?! I'm sorry but how am I supposed to interpret that as anything other than these two flirting!

AND SHINICHI. The boy just creates excuse after excuse to let Kaito go! And he gets SO EXCITED when they get to work together! He is so goddamn gay for Kaito, Vermouth used it against him! Imagine your enemy knowing how gay you are and using it against you? So cringe!

Should I talk about how their "first" meeting as Shinichi and KID took place at the romantic location for Kaito and Aoko? And how we know now that their first encounter as Shinichi and Kaito took place when Shinichi was looking for date places and he found KAITO to be the most romantic of the people he documented to the point he gets FLUSTERED about it?!

Or talk about all their movies together? 3 had the dove! 8 had them piloting a plane together! 10 had Kaito save Shinichi TWICE! 14 Kaito saved Shinichi AGAIN and then they worked together! 19 was about how Shinichi was certain something was off about Kaito and wanting to learn the truth! 23 IS JUST A KAISHIN FANFIC!

Claiming you are a OT7 army but pushing and promoting the hate towards taehyung makes you a hypocrite.

Jkkrs are slowly becoming the vermin by pushing false narratives to match their perception of taehyung. It has come to a point whereby we are also starting to base reality of Jikook around villainizing Taehyung. It disappointing honestly to undermine a 10+ year relationship that vmin publicly claimed as soulmates just becuz of social media posts. Dubbing words such as envious to a person Jimin deems important to him is utterly disrespectful.

I had this talk with some friends on discord but here is the thing. I may still care about V but I can understand why some people have washed their hands off of him. I've said this 1000 times but as long as Jikook keep loving V, so will I. But that doesn't have anything to do with holding V accountable for his actions. Jimin and JK may be okay with him, but us as fans are still allowed to question his behaviour.

Jikookers will complain that during FACE everyone and their dog made posts supporting the album except V. Then people like u will say, you don't know them personally, V probably praised him privately. And I would counter with the fact that V posted about Dday and TXT's album. Does that mean he didn't praise them privately???

Same thing happened with MUSE even though the guy finds a way to still be online all the time even while enlisted.

When Jikook were enlisting he posted that shirtless facetime screenshot of JK. Was Jimin not enlisting too?? Why didn't he post about him?

JK himself has come online to correct things that V said. Pointing out that, that's not how it happened. So if JK himself feels the need to correct misinformation, why are we being side eyed?

V promotes everyone except for Jimin, the vermin notice this just like we do and do you know what happens? They go to town on Jimin talking about how V only promotes good music. That Jimin makes garbage music and that's why V can't support it.

At this point Power Rangers has done a few crossover comics, and they've all been some pretty logical and big name choices - the Justice League, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Godzilla. So today's crossover comic is one that definitely took people by surprise - Usagi Yojimbo, the long-running story of a wandering rōnin having adventures in feudal Japan (who also happens to be a bunny rabbit), written and illustrated by Stan Sakai since 1984. While an icon in his own right - funnily enough, he's a regular guest in TMNT properties - I don't think ANYONE really had HIM in mind as a contender for a crossover with Power Rangers compared to more conventional properties like Transformers or even My Little Pony.

After all, what do they know about samurai in Power Rangers?

Ever since James was a kid, he could remember the cacophony of aromas in his Pa’s potions lab. They always overwhelmed him, and for that reason, when he began Potions lessons, he didn’t actually like it. He was proficient enough, but it wasn’t his favourite. He could tell it was the same for Remus, in the way that Remus wrinkled his nose and grimaced at everything, stepped back from the cauldron and let his partner do all the work while his own gaze meandered to the doorway, where it lingered longingly.

When the Marauders realised Remus was a werewolf, it made sense why Remus hated Potions, and James always found himself watching Remus watch the exit, a pang in his chest, ricocheting away from him and towards Remus, back to him, towards Remus, a sonorous tugging. He began partnering with Remus in order to let Remus lay off, instead of glaring at him disdainfully the way other partners would.

Even though James hated Potions, it felt good to be helping Remus. If he was doing something for Remus, whatever it was, he found himself loving it automatically.

It was lucky his Pa specialised in potions. When Wolfsbane came out, brand new, not even available to the public yet, Fleamont had his hands on it and confirmed, “Yes, it’s safe. Relatively easy to brew, for me at least; I am a revolutionary Potioneer…”

After Fleamont’s long declaration of his extensive skills (arrogance may run in the Potter family), James asked, “Can you… well, my friend is a werewolf, so…”

Fleamont stared at him. “I know. Why else would I start talking to you about Wolfsbane, you pillock?”

James scowled, trying to reel in his amusement because that was not funny. He asked, “Can we make it for them? How long does it take to brew? We need to make a large stock of it, they’ll need it for every full moon, and we need to keep stocking up because there are a lot of full moons to come in the next century, and Pa, can we hurry up and make it now?!” James waved his hands impatiently, pushing Fleamont into the lab.

Fleamont laughed, “Yes, of course. Anything for your Remus,” he smirked, eyes glinting mischievously.

James gaped at him, then spluttered, “What? I— Get to work! And keep the fact that he’s a werewolf a secret, because even though it doesn’t matter, for some reason, that’s the first thing people see about him. There’s so much to him, do you know how brave he is? He’s ten times braver than all the Potters combined, and I thought we were about bravery, but then there’s Remus! Every full moon he picks himself up and lives his life, and he’s really stubborn, he definitely belongs in our family; he determinedly ignores me telling him to rest and faces all his classes, all the people. He goes through so much, and through all of it, he’s the kindest person I know! He’s never angry, he has every right to be, but he never takes excuses, he’s real and upfront and—”

Fleamont clanged a cauldron atop the table in front of them and raised an eyebrow. “Shall we begin?”

“Yes!” James nodded vigorously.

“Pass me seventeen leaves of wolfsbane,” Fleamont instructed, holding out an expectant hand as he stared into the pits of the cauldron. James scrambled around for the ingredient, meticulously counting exactly seventeen, plucking them from the plant with care he didn’t know he possessed, gently placing them in Fleamont’s hand.

“Thank you, jaanu. Crush two mandrake leaves to extract their juice.”

James scrupulously squeezed the leaves until they were wrung dry, drained every drop of juice into the cauldron, watched how the wolfbane swirled and dissolved within it, a green, marshy concoction. He wrinkled his nose at the odour, but then he thought about Remus, and he decided he liked the natural, leafy smell.

It was the scent clinging to Remus’s sweaters after trekking through the Forbidden Forest, russet brown twigs decorating that unruly caramel-coloured hair, mud smeared over freckled cheeks, smudged beside little scars across his chin, embedded under nails and in the ridges of large, rugged hands. It was warm, earthy, old, sweaty, tangled in Remus’s arms and nose buried in Remus’s neck. In fact, James could breathe in this smell for days. He wanted to be overwhelmed by it.

“Acha kaam kiya!” Fleamont grinned, throwing his wand into the air in triumph. “Shabash, beta!”

James reflected the grin, squinting slightly. He had no clue what had just been said (it was times like this when he wished his parents had taught him Hindi), but he got the gist of it. ‘We did it! Well done! We should love ourselves, kiddo!’ or something like that.

The potion shimmering in the cauldron rose from the surface like a warm blue wave in an icy blue breeze, rolling off into clouds of blue smoke which filled the air around them.

It smelled disgusting. James opened his mouth, the tang on his tongue, but Fleamont interrupted, “Adding sugar renders it useless.”

James frowned. “But Remus needs sweet things!”

Fleamont shrugged, “Give him a kiss after he drinks it.”

James stammered incoherently.

“James! This is too much,” Remus protested, shaking his head. “Wolfsbane is expensive and time-consuming, I won’t accept you doing this for me.”

“Remus, Moony, Remmy Rem,” James started placatingly, “My family has more money than we’ll ever need, and I want to spend all my time on you. You can’t stop me, so just accept it.”

Remus faltered. “You’re delusional.”

James widened his eyes in exasperation, Do you hear yourself? He tipped his head back, breathed deeply, and returned to the conversation yelling, “PAPA!”

“Yeah?” Fleamont poked his head into the room.

James pointed at Remus accusingly. “Remus won’t take the potion.”

Fleamont gave Remus a crestfallen expression, which had Remus looking a mixture of guilty and annoyed all at once. James almost felt bad, except it was too funny to feel bad about.

“Remus, beta, you’ve got to let us make the potion for you. I never realised how much I missed the routine of Potioneering until I got the chance to fall in love with it again! Brewing Wolfsbane is just like brewing hair potions!” Fleamont squealed, delving into a lecture about the complex intricacies of potions and the way they tied into each other.

Remus bit his lip as he listened, nodding along as the heat in his eyes softened to a warm, honey brown. “I— well, if you like brewing that much… are you sure, Mr. Potter?

“Remus,” Fleamont grabbed him by the shoulders and peered intently into his eyes. “I have never been more sure about anything in my life.” Casually, he released a still frozen-in-shock Remus, “And call me Monty. I would say call me Pa, but James might find that a little—”

“Okay!” James clapped his hands. “Thank you, Pa,” he pushed him pointedly out of the room.

“Thank you, Monty,” Remus called after him, before glancing at James questioningly.

James ran a hand through his hair, “So… Wolfsbane might taste really gross…”

“I don’t care. All I care about is how you made it for me,” Remus smiled.

James stared at that smile for a very long time. His gaze flicked to Remus’s eyes, and with a slightly raspy voice, he whispered, “I… could make it sweeter.”

“Yeah?” Remus prompted with a raised eyebrow, stepping closer to James.

“Yeah,” James echoed softly, head tilted to meet Remus’s, and they were breathing, breathing, and James could feel it over his skin, warm and earthy, the scent of trees and outdoors, books and indoors.

“Thank you,” Remus murmured, before their lips touched.

It was the most overwhelming whirlwind of smells and emotions James had felt, simply from that delicate brush of lips, but he wanted to be overwhelmed by it, more and more and more. He wrapped his arms around Remus’s neck and pulled him into his mouth, nose pressed into Remus’s cheek because James could breathe him in for days.

Sunny Day Jack - Cat AU

Okay, so, two particular pieces of beautifully drawn fan art have collided together in my head to create a light and fluffy self-indulgent image that I just had to share with you all.

@okamiliqueur's heartbreaking picture of Jack's lonely and forgotten box from the new demo made me think of cats abandoned in boxes, "free to a good home." Only in the case of the game's story, he was left out in the rain to rot, the owner having given up giving him a good home.

@jazzylovetodraw's picture of Jack as a cat has been buzzing in my mind for quite a while. I just love how precious he looks in both forms, and when I was thinking of Jack being like those abandoned kittens in cardboard boxes... well, the combination was obvious.

I know that Jack's fursona is a snake, and I know being a cat is Shaun's thing, but I'm a sucker for kitties. I'm as biased towards cats as I am for dragons, if my avatar and username didn't offer enough of a hint. ;3 I'd love to see all the characters as kitties honestly.

Tempting though it may be to go with Fruits Basket rules for kitty Jack, like I toyed with over on twitter, I think I'm going to play with a different and simpler set of rules. In this universe, Jack is stuck as a cat until his sunshine's love allows him to become human again.

Admittedly, it's kind of hard to imagine Jack being alone for very long when he looks so adorable. Who wouldn't fall in love with that precious kitty face instantly? Most everyone would be putty in his paws.

Content Warning: I wind up touching on a couple explicit headcanon details near the end. I mean, I did say this is a pretty self-indulgent image with my OTP.

Maybe Jack was stuck as a cat via a curse ala Hocus Pocus and is guarding the box/tape/etc. Maybe he was stuck as a cat instead of in the tape and no one could see him until MC came along. Maybe he's got a tragic backstory like the cat from Fruits Basket.

Since this AU is more about the vibes, I'm just going to leave the how and why parts of the lore up in the air. All that matters is that Jack is stuck as a cat and left out in the rain in a cardboard box until MC decides to take him home.

I'm just going to switch over to Alice and what she would do in this scenario. Poor lonely Alice is out on the town, when she comes across the box out in the rain and sees an equally lonely kitten. Poor little thing, all wet and sad... She just has to take him home with her.

Alice cleans Jack up, gets him wrapped up all nice and warm in a blanket, and even gives him some chicken she bought for her own dinner that night. She'll have to get cat food and other things for her new furry companion tomorrow, though she should probably look for his owner and take him to a vet.

At first, Jack isn't sure what to do about the situation, though he is grateful. No one has even acknowledged his existence until Alice came along. She's so soft and warm. He loves it when she holds him. She's so kind too.

Alice does find it surprising Jack doesn't put up a fuss when being given a bath. Jack didn't exactly like the feeling of being all grimy, and don't get him started on fleas and other gross things cats have to deal with on the streets!

The vet isn't as fun, though Jack is well behaved, though very clingy to Alice throughout the appointment. He can't help but fear that she'll abandon him too. He'll keep up the helpless and adorably needy kitty act if it means she'll stay with him.

There's no ID chip, no tag, and no missing notice for any cat that looks like Jack. It's clear that the poor guy is a stray.

Alice is hesitant initially. She's wanted to get a pet cat for a long time now, but she has barely been able to take care of herself. How can she handle taking care of an innocent life that needs her when she's struggling so much with her own life?

That hesitation doesn't last long. Jack loves on Alice so much, constantly purring and snuggling up to her. He curls up with her when she sleeps or relaxes. He was hesitant at first, and she assumed that was because he was wary of her, when in reality, he just didn't want to cross any of her boundaries. He didn't want to do anything that might upset her and make her get rid of him. When she started petting and cuddling him, he wholeheartedly returned the affection, absolutely starved for it.

The first thing Alice thought when she saw Jack was that he was lonely, just like her. He's so sweet and can't stand to be apart from her. How can she just get rid of him when he makes her feel loved and needed?

Of course, a cat's life isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Cat food is a step down from people food, and a litterbox is anything but sanitary. Jack just skips that nonsense and goes straight to using the toilet despite the awkwardness, which shocks the heck out of Alice. He also snubs all cat food in favor of human food.

Yes, I could go with Jack being a ghost(?) cat that doesn't need food or to use the toilet, but then he wouldn't have gone through the indignities of a vet visit.

Then again... it would be funny if Alice brought Jack to the vet, only for them to think she's crazy, since to them all she's carrying is empty air.

Hmm... yeah, I think I'll go that route. As hilarious as vet hijinks and typical cat care with Jack while he possesses a human mind and identity might be, this would be a more interesting and tragic route. No one else can see Jack but Alice. He's lived for who knows how long in a world full of people that don't see him at all, unable to even be human anymore. It'd be a different type of hell than the one in the video tape, similar to what I talked about in my previous ramble.

Imagine if the 1984 incident Jack died and became a ghost(?) cat because he was secretly a cat shape shifter or something. Or maybe something more supernatural happened during the incident. Either way, cat ghost(?) Jack is very, very lonely.

Man, I just realized, it would be even more tragic (and complicated) if I go with the reincarnation route for this AU. Ghost(?) cat Jack probably had to watch Mary die slowly in the hospital after the incident, unable to help her or let her know that it's him. He couldn't even offer her comfort in her final days. It would've been so traumatizing.

For now, let's just play with this AU without the reincarnation angle, since this is supposed to be mostly light and fluffy feline fun with the OTP.

Jack, even as a cat, tries to do his best to help Alice out. If he can make himself useful, make her need him, then he won't ever lose her. He sneaks out when she goes to work to keep her company even though she initially tried to get him to stay home. No one sees him, so it won't matter. Besides, petting an invisible kitty is a good stress relief when dealing with awful customers, and certainly beats regular stimming.

The more Alice cares for Jack, the more powers he gets back, starting with the ability to talk. It's a huge shock for Alice of course, but Jack makes it clear that it's because of her love for him that made her stronger.

Of course, that love is platonic, at least at the start, which Jack knows full well, but he'll work on shifting things to a romantic love... especially after he gets the power to shift back into a form that has hands.

Like in typical canon, Jack answers Alice's questions as best he can. He probably lost his sense of identity like in game canon, so he references CloudyTown and stuff "he" did there, mixing up the show's lore with his own past. It's also intermingled with his many years spent wandering the streets being ignored and going crazy from the loneliness.

Jack does let Alice know that he used to be able to change from a cat to human. He just... can't anymore. He thinks it was because he was forgotten. He doesn't know why no one can see him until Alice came along.

It's so sad and tragic that Alice can't be unmoved by his plight. Sure, it makes things a bit awkward knowing that Jack is sentient and used to have a human form, but she feels for him. It also makes sense now why Jack always turned away whenever she changed.

Yes, Jack could have peeked. He could have even watched Alice while she was bathing, but he didn't. He refuses to do anything she won't allow. Cuddling her and sleeping in her bed is innocent, but the thoughts he'd have about her when she was undressing were anything but. He loves her too much to take advantage of her innocent trust in him. He needs her to want him to see her in that vulnerable state... even if it drives him crazy lusting over her. Poor pitiful kitty can't even have a good wank off session with his paws.

Still, despite knowing that Jack was human and is sentient, it's hard for Alice not to fall for his feline charms and not think too deeply about that fact. She still winds up cuddling him and petting him.

Of course, when it first hits Alice that she's treating a human like a pet, she stops and apologizes, but Jack insists that it's fine. He enjoys their cuddle time. He gives her the big, pleading kitty eyes as he begs her not to stop, and she can't help but give in.

Awkwardness soon fades and settles into a strange new normal. Alice does wonder if Jack really is real or if she was just so lonely she imagined something this crazy... but his presence is comforting. He keeps her company almost all the time. She doesn't feel alone anymore thanks to him.

Also... now that Jack can talk, he says such sweet things. It's weird to have a "pet" take care of her, but he reminds her of when it's time to brush her teeth, wakes her up for work, helps her get chores done despite how awkward it is with his paws and small size... It's so endearing.

The encouragement and assistance Jack gives Alice is wonderful, and his jokes are so fun and silly, but it's the praise that leaves her feeling flustered. If she didn't know any better, she could swear that he's almost flirting with her sometimes. She's in denial that's what it is, but it feels nice to be told that she's cute, and Jack is so sincere about it... and how can she not melt when he says sweet things with such a sweet face?

It's one morning that things change drastically. Alice's bond with Jack strengthened over time to the point that Jack finally can change back into a mostly human form, though he does have cat ears, a fluffy tail, and whisker markings.

It was a big surprise to them both really, as Jack transformed in his sleep. Alice had gotten used to cuddling up to a talking cat during the night, so it was a shock to wake up in a pair of big muscular arms. Jack was so happy when waking her that morning, giddy to show her his (mostly) human side, that it slipped his mind what a shock it would be.

Naturally, Alice bolted back against the wall away from the stranger in her bed. Jack quickly started reassuring her of who he was and that she wasn't in danger. He stooped down to her level, pretty much wilting really, with ears folded back, as he apologized for scaring her. He was just so happy that he wasn't thinking about how it must look from her side...

Seeing Jack so pitiful and sad, Alice feels her heart go out to him. Once things calm down, she can't help but be amazed by how he looks. Unthinkingly, she reaches up to pet his ears and feel how they attach to his skull. She only fully realizes how forward she's being when Jack starts purring.

Flustered, Alice immediately pulls back, only for Jack to whine at the loss of her touch. He didn't mind it at all. He always loves it when she cuddles with him.

It's a complicated feeling for Alice. On the one hand they've been very close for so long. On the other, Jack is definitely a human, so it feels different now.

Yet, Jack is so sweet. He's mindful of her hesitation, even if he's disappointed. It's harder for him to hide his feelings with such expressive ears. Alice can't help but want to reach out to him, especially after they've already spent so much time together, getting to know one another. He's chased away the loneliness that had been haunting her for so, so long.

Of course, now that Jack has a human form, Alice finds her feelings slipping into "dangerous" territory. He makes her feel so good, so loved, and she feels for him too. She doesn't want to dare assume he might feel anything more for her than just a friend, but she can't help but notice the way he looks at her, the way he clearly longs to be near her. He's so tender and gentle... and they've already been so cuddly.

It's easier for Alice to find herself cuddling up to Jack, letting him and taking guilty pleasure from his gentle warmth. He pets her hair too in return, and it feels surprisingly good... a bit too good at times.

The line between friend or something more blurs with all the cuddles and petting. Alice feels guilty about it, but Jack keeps encouraging her until, finally, something has to give and their relationship changes. Both of them feel relieved when it does, as they couldn't help but worry that their feelings might not be reciprocated.

In a lot of ways, it's pretty close to the normal continuity, just with some fuzzy ears on top. Jack can change into a cat at will now. As he gets stronger, people can start to see him, perhaps as a feline silhouette, or maybe with some unsettling shadows not from a cat. He's certainly going to be a bit territorial and not be afraid to hiss and use his claws if absolutely necessary.

Still, this kitty is pretty content thanks to Alice. Jack loves it when Alice carries him around as a teeny kitty, warm and snuggly against her chest, even in the cleavage of her shirt at times. Naturally, he returns the favor, carrying her around the apartment as often as possible. It's only fair after all~!

Naturally, Jack wants to get intimate with Alice as soon as she lets him. He's so pent up. Even with hands to take care of himself, all the cuddling and now kisses just make him ache for her even more. He longs to be inside her, biting her gently and growling in pleasure as he takes her.

A bonus with Jack being part cat is that he gets to have some vibrating action when he purrs. It adds a whole new dimension to their lovemaking, whether he's using his mouth on her sensitive parts, or thrusting himself deep inside.

Oh, I'm reminded of the cat-like features I mentioned in the Omegaverse AU. I guess Jack, having feline features, would have a dick that's ribbed for her pleasure too. Tongue too. Neither would be sharp because rule of sexy, but it would add a very pleasurable texture that a clever man like Jack is going to take full advantage of~

Of course, Alice can take advantage of those feline features too. The base of Jack's tail and ears are quite sensitive, and she quickly learns what spots get his motor running. Of course, getting Jack excited will lead to him pouncing on her and getting rather frisky, but Alice would certainly be expecting that result~

I can imagine Jack could make himself look fully human without any feline features, but he knows Alice finds his cat side to be adorable. She has a hard time resisting petting him when his ears and tail are out, and he certainly wants to encourage her to pet him as much as possible. He also wants to encourage her to let him pet her as much as possible.

Of course, if Jack can become powerful enough that other people can see him, he'll have to stick with only cat or human form when out in public. Still, even when other people can see and hear him, he prefers to be in Alice's company. Cats have their preferred human, and Alice is Jack's.

Naturally, Jack would have to be sneaky about showing Alice love when in public if there's a chance of getting caught. Good thing he has that perfectly innocent little kitty form to hide in. I can imagine it would lead to some interesting interactions where someone shows up only to find Alice incredibly flustered with a slightly disheveled appearance, while her "pet" Jack is just casually looking smug, as all cats do.

Person: Whoa, what happened to you?

Alice, not looking them in the eye: Uh... Jack, m-my cat just... ah, got a bit excited.

Person: Heh. Cats, am I right?

Alice: Haha... right.

Jack: :3c

Hmm... I wonder then if the other love interests should have cat transformations in this AU too. It'd be a crime if Shaun doesn't have that ability but Jack does. Jack already gets together with Alice, so I don't want to be extra cruel to Shaun.

Admittedly, I don't have too many ideas for other characters with cat modes. Well, aside from an image of Shaun taking care of his baby MoonPie by carrying her around by the scruff. This post was mostly just indulging in sweet moments with my OTP with a bit of feline flavor sprinkled on top. Maybe I'll revisit the idea again if I get more ideas than just a bit of fluff.

It’s honestly very crazy that a garbage Hollywood trailer makes so many people apologize to Minecraft Story Mode.

My experience with MCSM was that I was gifted the show by my dad as a teenager the same year the news came that Telltale went bankrupt. (It was the summer, so a couple of months before that)

I got a lot more into it than I was expecting. It had its problems, sure, but I was incredibly immersed with its story and atmosphere. Later on it became one of my obsessions once I finished the two games. It was the first fandom on the internet I ever became a part of. It was also the first time I ever outright became a shipper over a ship that wasn’t canon. (Jetra is my OTP to this day)

But in terms of real life, I never really felt confident talking to people about it. That’s because this was around the same time the hate train for MCSM started to arise. Then it became “Pure Fact” quote on quote that the games were these terrible things.

Now in my opinion and from my experience this started when some popular Let’s Players bashed the games. And even then I can’t blame them for simply having an opinion. But it’s because of their influence that their audiences take their opinions as gospel. (That should not be how that works)

From there every time I brought it up I would get cyberbullied for liking the games. And this was true for a lot of people who did like the games as well. We were all getting cyberbullied into joining the popular crowd and that we were wrong.

And then every time MCSM popped up in my feeds, my heart would sink and I would feel sick. Weird part was, while I did become far more critical of the games as a result of the trend… I NEVER found it in myself to outright hate it.

Like I said, the games have problems. They are by no means perfect games, and some of my critiques of it still hold up. (Not all of them though, ones I do wish I could take back) it was talking about THESE games that even spawned my hobby of writing essays of stuff I like.

So… that’s a sad origin story for how AnalyzGolden came to be. Now you know.

I’ve since drifted away from MCSM, simply because I was older and getting into new stuff. I talk about other stuff on this blog, like The Amazing Digital Circus, Ninjago, Total Drama, and quite recently Disventure Camp. And more. I also try to advertise my own stories to failing results cause no one cares.

So to see, after all these years, people like me finally being VALIDATED for our soured opinion on something… it just warms my heart so much.

I became more critical because of the trend of “MCSM sucks”. And now that that’s growing to not be the case, and I became more exposed to some crazy and wild fandom takes on other media that boggle my mind, that I’ve stepped more away from being negative and made choices to be in my corner and simply “Enjoy Something. Because I enjoy it.”

Oh I’m still a critical cynical bitch. And I do talk about my own critiques and problems if I personally have a problem with it and how the writing or whatever was handled. But I guess I’m more willing to hear the story itself out and what it’s trying to do before I jump to conclusions.

I cringe at my old emotionally impulsive self. And I hate having regression episodes of reverting back to my awful teenager self. But I can say that through experiences, I have to thank that for the person I am now, even if it sucked.

So… thank you MCSM. And thank you Hollywood for making a trailer/movie so awful that it made people such as myself finally feel heard and validated.

(Oh and btw, you guys don’t need to follow the trend of loving MCSM either. This doesn’t need to turn into the complete opposite thing. The lesson here is that you are allowed to like and dislike MCSM, and anything really, and trends should not sour your take on it. You can still not like the games if that’s your honest opinion.)

The Double, ep 27

Ep 27 had a severe lack of the Duke in it, which also means a lack of our OTP. And a lack of Lu Ji and Wen Ji. Still it wasn't a bad episode.

Let's start with Yu'e. At first, I thought she got what she deserved with being married to a man who hated her. But he's so awful that he couldn't just ignore her or something. He was beating her. So it was satisfying to see his genuine terror to when she says she's going personally take care of him now.

I truly do hope that Ruoyao can really find herself and break free. I was pleased to see that she was following with what she started and standing up to her mother. Unfortunately, her mother chose to POISON her as a way to get rid of Jiang Li. I'm going to assume that she will survive. And if she does, she really, really shows her mom how she cannot control her anymore.

I still think Shuran is awful. But at least we have context for where it all stems from. Cruelty begets cruelty. Her father was terrible and saw his daughters as pawns for his own position. When he disfigured her lover, he had her set up to be married to a useless person. He's the one who suggested she kill Jiang Li's mom to be able to married into the Jiang family. She's also just killed a child. Accidentally, but still.

It's interesting because there are similarities between Ruoyao and Shuran. Much of how Shuran treats Ruoyao is like how her father treated her. But there are lines that Ruoyao won't cross unlike her mother, who at this point has killed two people, attempted murder on another, got a child banished for matricide and fratricide (the kid wasn't even born yet so i dunno how that works), is trying to kill Jiang Li and has now poisoned Ruoyao.

Ruoyao is not her mother. Shuran is not wrong when she says that Jiang Li influenced her. But mostly Li just pointed out some things to Ruoyao. Ruoyao is the one who made the choice to stand up for herself - she could have just hidden she's done before. It also didn't hurt to hear Yanbang dismiss her and say he can coax her into anything because she has not thoughts of her own.

One thing I did notice is that Shuran's maid lacky was truly distressed at poisoning Ruoyao. It makes me wonder if she's not as on board with this plan as she has been with Shuran's others. She just might be the weak link, if Shuran goes even further against Ruoyao.

I did like what little we saw of Jiang Li. When the Duke gave her the whistle, I was curious as to how that would work (who's going to hear it?). I should have known better since the Duke has someone planted at the Jiang residence (and he's been there for 7 years!?! what is time and age in this drama??). So it's definitely been a very long game that the Duke and the Emperor have been playing.

Not much to say about the Aunt, though good in Li for seeing she was pretending to be crazy. I did suspect that someone had killed her child but in last episode it didn't look like she was pushed. However, this episode showed the real story.

As for Shuran, I'm confident she's very badly underestimated Li and whatever she's planning won't go as she thinks.

Ranni has such a depth of character she is an absolute delight.

I love that she is blunt and honest. Basically the moment you find her in her estate she admits to masterminding the Night of Black Knives. I love that she is very indulgent and permissive of the player in a way that makes it obvious she's just kind of playing with you/Rogier. I love that she's outwardly so cold and conniving. But the more you learn about her the more her naturally warm demeanor slips through. She loves her mother and protected her. She protected Rykard. Blaidd is her brother, and Iji is her childhood friend. She tries to tell the Tarnished off from becoming her Lord, because she knows the path she must take will be lonely and dark. She doesn't want to subject anyone to the ordeal she feels she must undertake. Yet when the Tarnished persists, she declares she is happy to have them for a Lord. She expressly tells the Tarnished to tell Iji and Blaidd she loves them.

Beyond that, I love her design and dialogue. She's so charming to listen to, and her sense of humor is biting and sharp. I rave about the Omen Twins to excess, but Ranni is definitely my favorite character along with them.

Lastly, her ending speaks to me as someone who isn't religious whatsoever. Now, I do not think her story and ending is an endorsement of atheism, nor do I think Ranni is an atheist character. But I find her ending to be the most realistic and true to life. The responsibility of making a better world is in our hands, whether or not we believe in a higher power.

One of my favorite moments of the game is when you find her body after she's slain her Two Fingers. You give her the ring and when she awakens she expresses that she is pleased to have you for a Lord:

Ranni targeted Godwyn (and presumably his line) in the Night of Black Knives because he was Marika's favorite child and the most prestigious of the Golden Lineage. She didn't know about Morgott and Mohg at the time. But even if she had, she would have gone for Godwyn despite the Omen Twins probably being better targets.

Her doll body is practically immobile, or it takes a great deal of concentration and skill to move it. She has to 'sleep' frequently because if can feel like her soul is just trapped in a stationary coffin of a vessel.

I believe the Age of Stars is objectively the most ideal ending to the game.

I genuinely struggle to understand why people don't like her. Like I can get people not favoring the Age of Stars, but to actually dislike Ranni? I don't understand it. I feel like if we were honest with ourselves and analyzed her 'crimes' in comparison to the other royal/Demigod characters in the game, she'd be one of the more innocent/righteous ones. But even if she wasn't, she's a fantastic and engaging character and nearly every complaint i see about her is shallow and not worth consideration.

The video consisted of a fight Pav and I had the other day with an anomaly. Specifically the part where I not so heroically got electrocuted because I stepped in water.

The music filled as Pav landed beside me, reaching out and putting a hand on shoulder. "You oka-" He got cut off as he was shocked as well.

"Okay why would someone edit that?" I ask as I read the caption.

Two dumbasses...literally made for eachother!!

I looked between him and the camera, then back at him.

"Nah, I'll pass." I say simply. The lenses on his mask widen.

"I'm kidding! I'm joking! Yes, I'll go out with you Paaaaa...l. Pal." I caught myself. "Oh, my god. Yes!" He tackles me into a hug.

"This is great and all...but can one of you swing this girl to the hospital? The ambulance is backed up..." A paramedic taps me on the shoulder.

I immediately throw myself off Pav. "Yes- of course I'm so sorry come on let's go girl." I grab the citizen, being careful not to touch her...ouch, really nasty arm and swing away.

It takes a lot of focus to swing through Mumbattan with a passenger, but I've done it a billion times. However, it's a little more difficult this time.

I sat in a chair next to one of the crash victim's hospital bed. The teenage boy hadn't woken up yet, and as much as I'd like to be with Pav right now, my duty as Spider-Woman is to make sure people are safe- even if they're not from my universe.

The boy suddenly stirred in his bed, which caused me to put down my phone. "Hey, you're awake. You got into a car crash. How are you feeling?" I ask the boy, who's hospital bracelet says Aarush. Cute name.

"Ugh...like shit. Who are you?" Oh damn I forgot I took my costume off. "Uh...my names Carly, I'm a med student. It's a whole program- don't even worry about it." I shake my head with a laugh.

"Oh, okay. Hey, look it's Spider-Man." He looks at the TV which had been playing the news. I looked up just in time to catch Pav(Spider-Man) catch my hand with a web after I fell off the bridge trying to keep a car up.

I should probably work out more.

I watch with a warm face as the entire scene from earlier plays out again, Pav wrapping me in a hug and me swinging away with a girl in my arms.

Everyone is allowed to have as many otp as they want but pretending that your ship is canon when you know so darn well that it's not just because you're too selfish to let other fans enjoy their own ships too is also so immature, Kakashi is canonically single and we can ship him with whoever we want including ourselves and our oc's and unless your name is Kishimoto, you don't get to decide otherwise... Friends can care deeply about each other platonically, being sexually attracted to someone isn't the only sole reason in the universe that would make ppl care about each other and want to be there for each other, some ppl make me wonder if they ever had good friends in their lives, it's so sad to think that they think the only reason to be good to someone and deeply care about them is because you're sleeping with them!! And if you're not sleeping with them then you shouldn't care about them?!! This is just sad, I really feel bad for them that they've never had or saw a true good friendship where you get to really love your friends, always be there for them, always wishing the best for them and always helping and supporting them without wanting something in return for them to think that way.

Some ppl need to understand that Kakashi is not their private property, they don't get to make up a new canon just because they don't want to share him with anyone else, there are millions of us who love Kakashi too and we all have the right to love him too and ship him with whoever we want including ourselves and our oc's and no other fan can ever take that away from us.

Too Short; Need More: For those who don't know (actually, I don't think anyone knows), I've been writing fanfics for a long time now. I've written for many fandoms, couples, and characters, but never in a million years I'd thought I would dedicate a portion of my life to writing a whole ass trilogy fic for an OTP I only started to ship in the summer of 2022.

How did I get into this?

Well, for starters, I've taken a ride to Greek mythology since June 2022. And as you may know (you must know if you've been sticking around long this blog enough), the myth of Apollo and Hyacinthus is my top favorite. And you probably know that I have lots of thoughts for them. Like, a lot. I'm storing too many Apollo/Hyacinthus ideas inside like an inflated balloon and if I don't dump them out soon, I will explode into a million pieces.

So in that case, I decided to write a fanfiction to pour all my OTP heacanons into it.

No, really. I won't even call it a retelling because it is not qualified to be one. Let's just say it's a high-effort fanfiction written by a foreigner who was raised and lived in a very different culture and always be more to learn.

Introducing:

Singing For A Flower

At first, I only planned it out as a meet-cute oneshot. But the short and sweet story soon branched out and couldn't be contained under 10K words anymore.

I want to write Hyacinthus and Apollo flirting but also having anxiety about their relationship.

I want to include Polyboea and give her a character arc about joining the virgin huntressess.

I want to explore Clio and the Muses' relationship with Hyacinthus, their mortal son and nephew.

I want to flesh out the other occurring characters who are in or related to the myth.

Endless scenarios and questions keep coming and they don't stop coming, and now I'm left with bits of prompts to string into one coherent plotline. There will be a lot for me to rewrite, add in, cut out, and more before I finish the first draft.

The "Singing For A Flower" trilogy will be written in Vietnamese and then translated into English (the VN version will be posted on a different platform, but you don't need to care about it). I can write the whole thing in English in the first place of course, but as with the second language, I can't convey all my ideas as fluently as in Vietnamese. When the English version is done, I will publish it on Archive Of Our Own and maybe other novel platforms.

It will take time to do everything all by myself. You'll have to wait a long time - we're not counting weeks or months, but years. But not to worry, because along the way, I will publish some (translated) WIP snippets to keep myself motivated and keep you guys up-to-date. So, we cool?

If you're interested in my planned Apollo/Hyacinthus trilogy and wish to see the final product, I admire your dedication - thank you a lot! And if you can't stick around to the end - it's okay! I'm glad we can be companions for a while.

Let's hope all of the gods above, my sheer determination, and an unholy amount of coffee will help me make it to the end of this project and not crash and burn before that!

I have a three-way tie, so I think I'll go with Kyojuro for this one!

Favorite thing about them:

Kyojuro is the kind of person who puts the needs and comfort of others above his own. Even as he lay dying, he never lets his pain show. Instead, he maintains a calm demeanor and offers words of encouragement to Tanjiro.

Another thing I love is how much he cares for his younger brother. When he speaks to Senjuro, he always kneels down to be eye level with him and gently squeezes his hand to comfort him. It's a small gesture, but it shows the kind of person he is.

Least favorite thing about them:

Although I cannot overstate how much I love the fact that they made him hearing impaired, as someone who gets anxious about loud noises his voice can be stressful at times.

Favorite line:

It's pretty standard at this point, but "Set your heart ablaze."

brOTP:

As much as I love that Kyojuro and Tengen are besties, I would like to see his relationship with Obanai explored more. We know that Shinjuro brought Obanai back to the Rengoku estate after rescuing him and I would like to think that he became an honorary member of the family. I think Kyojuro's outgoing personality helped Obanai to open up a bit. I would have loved to see some montages of the two of them growing up as adopted brothers.

OTP:

I think we can all agree that Akaza was down bad for our favorite fireboy. The bedroom eyes, licking his arm, using his first name? Akaza, you dirty dog.

Other than that, I like when people pair Kyojuro with an oc.

nOTP:

I don't understand the people who ship Kyojuro with Mitsuri. It just seems forced to me. Men and women can have a close friendship without it having romantic undertones. Also, since Kyojuro was friends with both Mitsuri and Obanai, I like to imagine that he played matchmaker.

Random headcanon:

Due to his father's alcoholism, I think Kyojuro would abstain from drinking outside of the occasional ceremonial sake.

Unpopular opinion:

A lot of Kyojuro's personality is a facade. He puts on a wide smile and takes on the role of the hero that he's supposed to be, the hero he promised his mother he would be. The only time we see this fake smile fall is when Enmu puts him under the sleep spell. Even in what is supposed to be the happiest dream he can imagine, his father still isn't proud of him.

Song I associate with them:

"Arsonist's Lullaby" from Hozier is perfect for him.

The one of him with his crow is so pretty.

Bonus side tangent: My cat, Freddie Mercury, hates his fictional man with a passion. Whenever Kyojuro is on screen, he will run from the room. He will fluff-up and flee whenever he sees any figures of him (and since this is my girlfriend's favorite character, we have a lot.)

We have a glass curio cabinet where most of our figures reside. The bottom shelf is where our kimetsu mini figurarts live, and we have nearly the whole set. Well, Freddie Mercury found the Kyojuro figure, lined himself up to make sure he was aiming right for it, and pressed his anus right against the glass.
