In Film Red, my most favorite part of the movie is the dynamic chemistry between Luffy, Law, Bartolomeo, and Bepo. It'll be hilarious if Law and Bartolomeo has unexpected encounter. At first Bartolomeo ignored Law and Bepo, only for the polar to jump in comical style. 😊😂

Yes, Law and Luffy are my hands down OTP like to the point I literally forget who I shipped before them xD. Something about mutual saving of lives and two people who understand loss and what it’s like to be unable to save those you love. Law was there for Luffy in his darkest hour and Luffy helped Law accomplish his goal of defeating Doffy and finally getting revenge for Cora.

I also am a sucker for the golden retriever/black cat energy and sun/moon pairing of these two. They just complete each other and make up for the other lacks. Luffy is the light in Law’s darkness and Law helps ground Luffy. I could go on and on about all the reasons I love them both as individual characters and together but I will stop there.

Their dynamic has infinite possibilities and you can make them fit into basically any story or AU. I enjoy them as top law/bottom luffy, top luffy/bottom law, and switch law/luffy.

Film Red is so funny Law is just having a rough time there. Barto has such a funny dynamic with Law like I think he’s def jealous of him and his closeness with Luffy, even refusing to feed him until he says it’s for Luffy in the anime. Law lowkey annoyed that Barto worships Luffy, I think he’s a little jealous too hehe. Bepo is also just the most perfect fluffy bestie for Law and any interaction with him is always so cute. He loves his captain!

... now this, took a minute to answer in some ways. There a lot of ships I like, so this was really easy and hard to answer at the same time. Some ships it was an immediate yep yep and others I had to go '... but is it a fav of all time, though?" But I think I got it narrowed down.

So here we go, fav ships of all time from any media, no particular order. I didn't get any specific no. to do so I'll just list a handful until I can't think of any others. (Anyone who comes across this that sees a ship on here you don't like and feels the need to say something about it, stay in your lane this ain't about your opinions it's about mine.)

The main FMA ships

Arakawa Hiromu, nigga, you cooked. Imma just put the FMA ships as one and leave it there because if I do it separately, we'll be here all day. But if you wanna see me diving into why I like these ships in a manic ramble, here's a post I made on that here. The romance in FMA is literally a category and a discussion all on its own that I can go about on for hours. FMA has the best romances in shounen so anyone who has consumed FMA will know what I'm talking about. Like, whenever anyone tries to use a manga being 'shounen' to justify shitty romantic writing, I point at FMA's brilliant riding. An animanga's demographic is not an excuse for terrible executions in romance. EdWin, RoyAi, LingFan, AlMei and all the side ships drank and left no molecules.

NaruSaku

Toxic shippers, again, stay in your lane, I don't feel like dealing with y'all any day. I have been shipping this shit for years, always have, always will. Ignore the fact I ship Sakura with literally everyone from the Akatsuki to Hinata to Sai to Shikamaru. (Y'all I used to look up Kisame/Sakura fics, unironically TAT). (Same for Naruto honestly, I've shipped him with Sasuke, Ino, Temari, Tenten, the list goes on and on.) The way Sakura goes from finding Naruto annoying to almost dying multiple times to keep him safe, I will never EVER be over that. Naruto's love going from puppy to something as passionately red as the thread of fate itself. The MinaKushi parallels. I have a lot (and I mean a lot) of ships in Naruto pertaining to these two, but NaruSaku is my absolute favorite. Like it was literally confirmed that Sakura got over Sasuke and then it got retconned for some bullshit. Saying it with my whole chest, argue with a wall, it should have been them. I won't dog any other ships, but yeah, it should have been them. 699 chapters of Naruto being in love with one woman, I sing the praises everyday.

SakuHina

Hinata's prince charming is literally Sakura. I have a whole ass fic I am slowly, painstakingly writing about what Naruto would have been like if Hinata had a crush on Sakura the whole time. I just think they're really cute together, have amazing chemistry and balance each other out. I didn't expect to like SakuHina as much as I did but here we are.

Kyoru

I mentioned it before in another answered ask but Fruits Basket was my first manga (if you're curious what my first anime was, it was Yu Yu Hakusho) and Kyoru was probably my first OTP. There are two characters I think upon so many rewatches and rereads that were prime game for who Kyo and Tohru could have ended up with had things been different (which, I do really ship as well. Multishipper here guys) but I'm not mad about the endgames that we got. From start to finish, Kyo and Tohru's relationship is beautiful and you can feel how strongly they feel for one another. It's like, wow, Takaya really gave us one of the best ships in shoujo and didn't even apologize for it.

Klance

Red + Blue = True. They had chemistry, supplemented for what the other lacked and we really don't need to have me diving into the bs that was VLD. That show wasn't even out long, my god, it was a mess.

NeuviFuri

Should I explain to you the romanticism of Hydro x Hydro? Oof how I love them. A Genshin ship after my own heart, truly. But if anyone is trying to against MiHoyoverse (I was here from the Mihoyo days, leave me alone) in terms of seeing who ships NeuviFuri more, we all lose. They literally paid people to do an ice dancing program in NeuviFuri cosplay, paid a guy to make a companion piece to Furina's song from Neuvillette's perspective and several other animations concerning their relationship in some way. But the Mihoyoverse shenanigans aside, it's the build up of 400+ years of working together, the care they still have for one another and yes the complementary abilities and color palettes. Not enough time in the day to talk about them, I don't think.

Almost thought I wouldn't have a gif for them, then I remembered THEY GOT A MOVIE. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe is one of my favorite books in the world. I have reread it once a year religiously since 2017 when I first discovered it. This is such a beautiful novel and relationship and if you haven't had the pleasure of reading it or the sequel, please do yourself a favor and buy it or rent it from your local library. It's just, the way Ari has been in love with Dante for so long and didn't even realize it but it's so, so clear to the reader because of just how he talks and describes him? I don't even want to go to deep into this one just in case there's someone here that hasn't read this book because it deserves to be read and experienced blind. Just, just please y'all read it.

favourite thing about them

I love how inventive she is. She grew up in a rural and likely poor region, she was born with a relatively weak cursed technique and she managed to claw her way up, so that even the Fujiwara wanted her in their service. All through her own ingenuity. She has an understanding of physics that's beyond her time. Also I just love her obsessive nature. You can tell that no matter if it's people or a topic she finds interesting, she'll cling to it until she has made it her own. That obsession is what got her into such a high position. Her love for battle and bloodshed is also refreshing. We don't see that that often with female characters, especially not combined with her insect armour that would be considered "ugly" and "too masculine".

least favourite thing about them

All the interesting things I listed above are only there as little mentions or titbits that are dropped here and there. We only get a glimpse of her inventiveness and the struggles she went through. Instead Gege chose to only focus on her obsession with Sukuna and make her especially pathetic through that. Like, if you're gonna drop such an interesting backstory, expand on it at least a little bit? Instead of going out of your way to make it seem like her character revolves entirely around Sukuna. She can have her obsession with him, that's fine, but Gege really did her a disservice there, despite obviously being capable of giving her more depth.

Hm, either the idea of Yorozu and Uraume very reluctantly getting along, kind of similar to Uraume and Kenjaku (she wanted to invite them to her wedding after all and likes their cooking) or Yorozu and Kenjaku. I think her research about insects and how emulate their qualities with cursed energy and her technique would be very interesting to Kenjaku. And since I hc that Kenjaku likes centipedes or arthropods in general, I'd like to see them nerd about insects.

Yorozu/Uro! I've ranted about them plenty before, but I'd just once again like to say that they are perfect for each other. Yorozu could've been such an inspiration for Takako back in the day, show her what she could be.

Sukuna. I think they're both better off by just moving on and finding better people. Also I don't like this at all in a sexual way.

random headcanon

She has like a full mad scientist lair. Kind of an expansion on what we see in her first flashback. It's full of books and show cases of animals and makeshift terraria where she studies insects to improve her technique. I mean, she knows what an insect's nervous system looks like, she must've picked them apart very thoroughly, probably used her CT as assistance to invent microscopes and other tools that didn't exist back then. Also, the way her servant looks, I think she doesn't shy away from human experimentation either to test a new form of Construction for example.

unpopular opinion

She isn't actually sexually attracted to Sukuna. All she ever talks about is owning and controlling him. The marriage is for her to demonstrate her ownership over him and tie him to her. Even if it's merely his corpse. While I'm all for necrophillia, I don't think that's the intention here.

I don't yet have a song where I think "yes, that's her!", but I chose IC3PEAK's Плак-Плак for her defying tradition and killing her husband and Red Sex (restrung version) just because I think it embodies her particular brand of insanity quite well, particularly how connected everything about her is to her body. From her being nude in the Heian era to her insect armor. Feels sort of suffocating just like her obsession and some of the strings remind me of the sounds of insect wings.

I didn't want to make a post like this but things have gone too far. I am still not mentioning names. If you know you know, if you don't know, ignore this post and be happy that you don't know.

Yesterday I went on a blitz of blocking people I was told had been sharing my private DMs and talking shit about me behind my back with an artist who is freaked out that I told them I wouldn't take down a reblog, and then explained that they are popular with RavWave shippers, and that I didn't know who they were until other shippers sent me their stuff, because their art does look shippy to us.

It seems that a lot of the people who are really mad about this (and you're welcome to share this one post of mine with those people, though I do not appreciate that their friends have been stalking my blog in general) think that I was trying to ARGUE with that person.

Much as their motivation in drawing the art was not to depict my OTP, my motivation in telling them that they accidentally did was not to argue with them about how they should view the relationship. It was information about why people get what is apparently the wrong idea about their art.

If I were writing or drawing something that was being misinterpreted all over creation, I would want to know why.

Then I would be armed with the knowledge to decide whether or not I wanted to do things differently in the future.

"I don't care what those people think" is a valid decision. So is "hmm, maybe she has a point." Whichever decision I made, I'd want to make it as an informed decision.

I feel a little sorry about this giant misunderstanding, but I'm absolutely disinclined to apologise because:

Their first message to me was insulting. Many people believe that it was a "polite request". But polite words can be used in a thoroughly rude and nasty way. There is no nice way to tell someone that you think they're so nasty you don't want your public posts appearing on their blog.

Saying no to requests is a thing that people are allowed to do.

Their second message to me, which evaded my block because it was sent to another account, was blatantly offensive and went into the quality of my family and relationships. I didn't respond to that because I'd have gone off.

They have their friends stalking my blog and have admitted to doing so, and have responded to venting on my part by vagueblogging in my own blogs by telling everyone that they're the person I am annoyed with and here are the receipts. Seriously, wtf?

I only know this because I'm trying to block all the assholes who are reposting my personal conversations with them, a thing i only know because a friend of mine told me so after receiving a demand they unfriend me.

This person and their friends are sending anon asks to my friends, or in one case, publicly demanding in an RP community, that people who want to interact with them unfollow me, because they will not interact with anyone who interacts with me. Go the fuck back to high school, Regina.

Don't put icing and sprinkles on a pile of shit and tell yourself you gave someone a chocolate cake. This person has never been "nice" to me.

Under the cut: why IDW Ravage would never allow herself to be handled like a pet cat, and why RavWave shippers feel the same way about the Earthspark deleted scenes, even though we know that's probably not what the showrunners meant us to think.

I have come to the conclusion that's it's just another case of antis thinking that if you can see two people in a non-platonic relationship that they think of as family, you're just nasty. Especially if the feline shaped character is being handled like a pet cat.

But the person who said "I look disrespectfully on anyone who ships this, that's just a goof and his cat" has missed the entire point of these characters' relationship. Soundwave would never treat or handle Ravage like she was a pet cat.

Anyone else who says RavWave shippers are nasty because "it's NoRMaL to handle your cat that way" is fundamentally not getting who Ravage is and how she feels about being touched.

Ravage is a sapient adult mech with a full range of sapient adult feelings, and touching her like she's an animal is a microaggression or a macroaggression, depending upon where and how you touch her. The oppression of beastformers is a big fucking thing in IDW 2005. Other beastformers also complain about constantly having to deal with unwanted and disrespectful touching. (Fortress Maximus is a known offender.)

IDW Ravage is sleeping in Megatron's bed throughout MTMTE (when she's under it, she's guarding him). She only allows him to touch her neck in front of others...because behaving like a pet cat increases the chances that people will treat her like one.

(She almost cut Nautica several times. That's another character I ship her with, because what would be funnier than her realising that this actually is a whole ass person and if she can't stop touching her, she might actually be attracted to her?)

(Note: Canonically, Ravage in IDW uses he/him, and I do know that. However, about half the fandom writes Ravage as female. I'm in that half.)

BTW, I feel exactly the same way about the Earthspark deleted scenes. Every RavWave shipper on the planet does. We've talked about it. We realise that the artists and showrunners probably intended it to be innocent on the grounds that she is a cat. But we are also people who like to write her as an adult Decepticon officer with agency and self-respect who wouldn't behave like that in front of other people unless they knew he has privileges they don't.

I am aware that half the fandom draws Ravage art that's basically cat memes. (I hate that so much. But as a proshipper, I recognise people have the right to depict characters any way they want. That doesn't mean I haven't had to vent to people like @bitegore and @miner16 to keep myself from saying something.)

Also, I strongly suggest that people who get this worked up about misinterpretations of their art or writing do not become professional creators. As a member of fandom since the 1970s, I'm kind of super extremely aware that most of what fandom does is counter to what the creator intended, and frequently that's the point.

I'm also kind of super extremely aware that if you don't have loads of people reinterpreting and remixing your work and your characters, that actually means nobody cares about your work enough to have blorbo feels about your characters.

(The side poll, which came from another blog and mentioned no names, was an irritated attempt to find out whether people really do think it's normal to cuddle your mom that way, because the second message insinuated that my mother and I must have a terrible relationship because we don't touch each other like that. I kinda wanted to know what people who were not predisposed to take my side and did not know what was going on would think of that idea, because I really do not think most people touch their mothers like that; their mothers aren't nonsapient animals and would thus consider it weird and inappropriate.)

unpopular opinion: HOO BOY!!! here we go!!! i am aware that i have a wooby nature, but i actually like that about myself. i'd rather approach someone--anyone with softness and then tone it down when i decide they're a dick, than be uncharitable for no reason. that's my way and that's how it's gonna be! so that said...franko gets accusations of "arrogance" and i...i don't see it at all. it might come from his disingenous press conferences at chelsea and everton, but i see that as a man who has horrid self-esteem, was used to being treated by media and fans like a Starboy, and once he started doing badly, had no idea how to handle professional failure--not one single idea. remember on "diary of a ceo" over the summer when he said his first chelsea sacking was the first time he's ever failed professionally? that's insane. That's, ooo, that's tough, since I don't have much spare time and I mostly spend it writing mine instead of reading. Thinking back on my favorite moments, though, I think hurt/comfort is my jam. Heartache, heartbreak, hyperventilation, gimme pain, gimme panic, gimme people barely holding together putting one foot in front of the other even when the person they lean on isn't there, I wanna see what my faves are made of and I want it to hurt!

11. if you’re a writer or artist, what fic or piece of art are you proud of making?

I'm actually really proud of all the things I'm writing lately! =D Got three novel-length fics in the fire, really love how they're turning out!! None of them are er, out yet, though, besides an MHA one-shot I posted last April. I haven't started posting them because I don't want to be discouraged by lack of readers. I will once they're done (except the MHA one, I will start posting that when the final episode of the anime airs), but until then, they only exist as google docs for folks that wanna beta read.

14. the ship that always makes you smile

All of the ones I love do! But by far the one that gets the most content, and thus the constant deluge of smiles, is Sam & Max. Ship is called Freelance Husbands, I adore how dedicated the fandom is, and it always fills my heart with sugar and sunshine, especially even when it's angsty~!

Blades of grass, cold and dark, unearthed from Blackwall's constant back and forth, until he found himself pacing in a small circle of bare earth. His boots were soaked and bits of ice laced throughout his beard.

The storm had subsided; what was a furious flurry hours ago, had become a peaceful powdering over the makeshift camp. People of Haven--what was Haven--huddled by a fire, a few injured in cots under hastily hoisted tents. Cassandra and the advisors argued over what to do next. Scouts took shifts to search; by the grace of the Maker, nearly everyone who had fallen behind was found. Except for her.

There had been deaths. The dragon set all of Haven ablaze. For as quickly as they moved, not everyone made it. Mostly soldiers, fighting off demons, buying time for everyone else. But not all of them.

Even as the snow piled onto his shoulders and slipped down the slick of his hair, Blackwall could still feel the heat of the dragon's breath on his back, like a branding iron hovering behind him, waiting for him to lose his footing. He could still hear screams wringing softly in the distance, swept up by the wind, like phantoms wailing in the night. He was used to death, should be used to death. It was harder with normal folk. They just wanted to help the Herald, in their own ways.

“Stomping about won’t do anyone any good, Warden,” said Vivienne. Blackwall turned and found her on a bench, her Royal Sea Silk dress a glittery, tattered, water-stained mess, a shawl thrown over her shoulders.

"I was with her," he said, a puff of white air fuming from his lips. "When the Herald fired and the dragon landed, the whole mountain came down. I was guarding her, and I lost her."

"I was there, too, as you may recall," Vivienne clasped the ends of her shawl. "We both failed."

Blackwall shook his head. "You were picking off Venatori and healing injured soldiers. I was to remain at her side, the fault is mine."

"We can at least agree this... Corypheus is the one most at fault. Cassandra and the others have been going in circles how to even being to approach handling such a ... creature."

"No sense worrying about that until after we find Lady Cadash. When the scout party comes back, if she's not with them, I'm going to look again for myself."

"We have to do this the right way. Every moment we stay here, we're draining what resources we have left."

Blackwall's bushy brow furrowed, his steely blue eyes stark against a face full of oak brown hair. "I hope you're not suggesting we leave without her."

"Of course not. But put a bit of trust in the Inquisition. Besides,” a faint smile crept up in the corners of her mouth. “It won't do any good when we find her, and she's lost her favorite bodyguard."

"We are not..."

"Please. As if you were even hiding your bumbling."

"I'll have you know she approached me first."

"As if you didn’t make it painstakingly obvious that you’ve been in the woods and haven’t laid eyes on another person in Maker knows how long.”

“Lady Vivienne, I have barely touched her. We’ve only …”

“Spare me the details, if you please.”

Blackwall sat next to her, and groaned. “I take it you don’t approve.”

“I don’t. But the Herald is a grown woman, I’m not about to tell her how to enjoy herself, in what little personal time that can be afforded to her. Whatever this Corypheus is, surely that time will be even less.”

Vivienne looked up, watched the bloated grey clouds that once carried the storm thin out and shrivel away, revealing a star-scattered night and full, silver-white moon. The snow slowed to a sleepy, spiraling swirl.

She sighed. "We're certainly out in the wilderness far more than I anticipated. I imagine that suits you just fine."

"It is, although there will be need to deal with nobles, naysayers, conspirators. You will be much more help to her, there."

"I suppose ... we will just have to look out for her, in our own way."

"I'll do my part if you will."

"I will agree to that much."

"Lady Cadash is a special woman."

"I can agree to that, too."

"Over there!" one of the soldiers proclaimed. Blackwall's body snapped upright, as more soldiers stormed past him.

From the shadow of the mountain, a tiny green light flickered, like a single, lost firefly. Blackwall's body reacted before his eyes could fully process, he saw the green and started running.

He was a big fellow, stout-legged and barrel-chested; quickness and agility were not his strengths. But his eyes kept to the light, pulling him forward, compelling his blood to pump faster, his legs to press onward.

A mix of, “Over there!” and “Thank the Maker!” all rushed together as he passed Cassandra, Cullen, and all the soldiers. He might have heard a surprised grunt from the Seeker, but that was not important, in the moment.

The snow had subsided, but layered of it climbed up Blackwall’s legs, soaking his boots, reaching for the ends of his gambeson. The wind howled and lashed at his face. He guarded his squinting eyes with his forearms as he trudged on.

The single green light became a silhouette, a hand attached to the light, an arm attached to the hand, then a body emerging from the curtains of wind and dark and snow. A dwarf woman, face obscured by scarves, a crystal-laden black braid spilling out from her hood. Soft sniffled and grunts as she slowly stepped down the mountain.

“Rota!” Blackwall rejoiced, too relieved and too happy to recall any formalities and guarded tactics. He ran faster than he ever did to close that distance.

“Bhh?” was all that the dwarf woman managed as her legs began to wobble.

He scooped her into his arms as she toppled over.

“I’ve got you, I’ve got you,” he said, clutching her form and heading back the way he came, slowly but with purpose.

“Make room!” Cassandra barked as they re-entered the camp. The crowd parted. Blackwall glanced Vivienne in the corner, hands clasped over her heart in relief.

Weak mumbles fell from Cadash’s mouth, frosted fingers reached for him, pawing at his chest like a weak kitten.

“I’ve got you, my lady,” he said softly, entering the first tent in his path.

A faint smile crossed Cadash’s face as she fell asleep.

I started my journey back at the end of December, 2022. I published my first fanfic in the first days of January, 2023. But it was not until the middle of last year that I decided to translate my writings and publish them on AO3! It was definitely the best decision ever. 32 fanfics later here we are, feeling grateful for all those people I met along my way, those who became very good friends of mine, for all the sweet words and good comments I have received and for all the experiences I gained writing (Sports RPF it's the fandom in which I have written the most)! Okay apologies in advance but for some reason these drabbles make me want to write the kind of wolfstar i usually avoid in my bigger projects: canon, angsty, fucked up. Cw: rough sex

Setting: Canon, OTP, the scene in the kitchen after Harry arrives at Grimmauld Pl. Molly is trying to protect Harry and doesn't want him involved in the Order. Sirius wants to include Harry in everything. Molly says some fucked up shit about Sirius not being a good godfather bc he's been in azkaban. Remus plays referee, tells Molly to back off, and "Sirius, sit down." (BARK BARK).

Later, after everyone has left or gone to bed:

Remus waits for him in Sirius' room. He's sat in the chair in the corner, book open on his lap, staring patiently at the door.

Shortly after midnight, it swings open, Sirius swaying slightly and flushed with whiskey.

"Oh, now you wait for me." Sirius' voice cuts sharper than his mother's rings across the soft flesh of his cheek.

Remus doesn't rise to the bait. "We need to talk."

Sirius stalks toward his wardrobe, peeling layers off haphazardly, stumbling a little, tugging his muggle jeans off. "Like fuck we do."

Without warning, Remus stands and shoots a sobering spell directly at Sirius' stomach. He yelps and clutches his belly, face like murder when he looks up at his former friend and long-ago lover. "What the hell was that for?"

"I told you," Remus replies mildly. "We need to talk. And we're not doing it while you're half off your tits on Orion's stash."

"Merlin, fucking fine! What do you want? Tell me off some more? Honestly I'm quite all right there, ta very much---"

"I'm sorry."

Sirius scoffs, a broken, barking sound. "What?"

Remus inhales. "I'm sorry. For all of it. I haven't told you that. I'm telling you now."

Sirius, tall, broad, all long hair and dark beard and flinted eyes glowing in the low candlelight, rises to his full height, squares up against this shell of a man with too-soon gray hair and wrinkles in all the wrong places (forehead, mouth).

"Why now?"

"You needed to hear it." Remus shrugs. "I needed to say it. So here we are."

"And where were you before? Last night? And the night before that?"

"I needed to think."

"In the Tube loos?"

Remus flushes and looks away.

"That's what I thought. Get out."

"No." Remus steps close, into Sirius' space. "I'm not letting you go again. This time, we're doing this together."

Sirius tries to back away, but something won't let him. His stubborn pride, his arrogance---

His nearly twenty-year devotion to a werewolf in sheep's clothing.

"Kiss me," the disgraced prince demands.

The unfaithful supplicant obeys.

AND FOR THE SMUT:

Sirius puts him on his knees immediately. They are jealous and petty and Sirius needs to fuck the taste of all these other men out of Remus' mouth.

It's not enough.

He hauls Remus up by his hair, swings him around until they are directly in front of the night-dark bedroom window overlooking the shabby square below.

Sirius can see their own reflection in the glass more easily than he can see the muggles straggling to and fro on this sticky summer night. But he knows they are there. Even if the enchantments over Grimmauld Place completely obscure them from the public eye--

Remus and Sirius know they are there.

"Show them." Sirius growls, pushing back in, hitting the back of Remus, throat, making him gag. "Show those filthy muggle men whose cock you belong to. How sweet you take it for me. They're not getting your mouth ever again. This mouth is mine. Fucking--mine--"

He thrusts hard on the last words, emptying hot and hard down Remus' throat.

He chokes it down, coughing and sputtering, but swallows it all nonetheless.

"Say it," Sirius growls overhead, panting and sweaty.

Remus swallows again and opens his mouth, voice absolutely wrecked. He loves it. "My mouth is yours."

"Good." Sirius strips off the rest of their clothes. "Now turn around, hands on the window," Sirius murmurs as he sinks to his knees and licks his lips. "Time to show them who owns this arse, too."

honestly, I loved Rhysand's character soo much throughout the 1st book even tho sjm did not exactly make him seem like a "main" character or one who's on the "good" side in it, and I was even prepared for him as a villain of sorts? like, I don't mean Amarantha or Hybern level of villain, but deffo like badguy with ulterior motives that don't really affect the world in a bad sense but would definitely resort to immoral ways to accomplish said ulterior motives kind of bad? so kinda like an anti hero ig? (sorry if I'm not making sense, it's just English isn't my first language and I didn't know how to translate it best. also, I'm also not very good with words 🥲) which might be why I absolutely loved your dark!Rhys fics, Gods were they amazing, thankyou for writing them luv🤌🏻

oh I'm so glad somebody resonates with me on this, now I don't know if you still like/don't dislike him after all the books or if you only meant through the first book, but I personally would love to see his character explored a lot more and think there's a lot of scope but for some reason everywhere I see, there's only hate for him(mostly) and I hate that some people judge me(and a lot of other readers) solely on the basis of characters we like/dislike? needless to say, I wouldn't say I hated tamlin either, infact I still enjoy feylin fics a lot even tho I don't get to read very many of them. it's just that back when I was reading ACOMAF I just NEEDED my otp(feysand) to happen fsr lol😅 honestly I don't think I'd have minded all that much if feylin was infact endgame, I'd just have been a little sad is all lol🥲 because how many otps of mine just didn't happen?(😭the answer is in a good high tens)

I so completely understand this bit, because personally, I'm exhaustingly clueless about a lot of media that people are usually just raving on and on about and it's not usually because I don't want to watch it, but there are these attention deficit tendencies that love visiting me on a regular basis that just won't let me sit down, load a show and watch it till the end😭 I mean, I watched the 1st iron man movie 16 years after it first came out so🥲and it wasn't for a lack of trying, I've been meaning to watch it for the past 8 years or so and I just got around to it. honestly it's a miracle I read all the Acotar books to the end lol

Oooh gosh, I guess it’s up to you? There’s still a lot of the story left to write—I’d say we’re probably either half or two thirds of the way there in terms of storyline and events that will happen. It’s not going to be over any time soon, basically, which is both exciting and pretty scary 😭

Honestly I think the tension is in the first half, if that makes sense? (Which it probably doesn’t since you don’t know reader’s fate, but 🤷) There’s going to be a ‘half’ chapter which adds in some contexts to reader’s history, but I think after chapter 15, that should be where the tension relaxes a bit? I like to think that in *very* broad terms, chapters 1 through 15 are the ‘hurt’ ones, and 16 onward will be the ‘comfort’ ones? There are still going to be intense moments but she might not have to be on her own anymore (provided she learns to seek help when she needs it)

Yes! Like I’m happy with how Feysand turned out, but I would have been fine if Rhys stayed ‘evil’ for a bit longer 🫢 just a few more scenes of him being super scary and Feyre being wary of him 🤭

I feel like even as soon as he first visited her in her cell, there was a suggestion he wasn’t that bad? Especially after we learned only one person bet on her winning? Ignoring how acotar characters would write that off as a whim, from a storytelling standpoint that’s a pretty clear way of singling a character out and making them significant 🤭

I didn’t hate him in the first book or any other after that, BUT, I did definitely get frustrated with him during the High Lords’ meeting 😭 I kind of wish we got his perspective on that, or at least more about his character? Because Feyre dismantling stability within the Spring Court was quite a brash move I think, and one she might have decided against if she wasn’t having to deal with so many other matters as well as sorting through her own emotions? Because she definitely went through a lot 😭

I guess I feel that Tamlin has a lot of anger in general, which can make him impulsive and volatile at times—like when Feyre first realised she could make a shield in his office—and I’d love to see Sarah explore that more!!

I mean, I think it’s made more complicated because of immersion and how emotionally connected some people feel to characters? I was having a conversation about how we all read the same books but it’s interesting there’s such a vast range of opinions? Like some people really hate Nesta, which I can see why I suppose but I personally love her 🧡💛

I think the problem starts when people get too attached to characters that they’re unable to speak objectively about them? I’m definitely guilty of this too though 😭 one of my friends read acotar and was saying something about Az and how they didn’t like him and I straight up asked them to stop because I knew it would upset me 😭 (they did, which was kind of them ☹️)

The tension being set up both in the one bed at the inn scene and the Court of Nightmares moment just made the resolution really enjoyable for me! Not so much the smut part, but when Rhys finds her in the cabin and they end up having a heart to heart, and Rhys tells her more about his history? It just made me feel so happy for them so I know what you mean about wanting them to get together!

I don’t have it to that extent, but I know that on a smaller scale, I like having music or videos playing in the background while I work? Especially while doing more domestic work like the washing up, changing my sheets, generally tidying etc. it makes the process so much easier, and I won’t get bored of the work or feel guilty for relaxing during ‘work hours’ on weekends

Today was a 'vacation day'.

No raids. No fighting. No pirating. Just... having fun. Having fun doing whatever each person wanted to do and if that meant raiding or pirating then whatever, they could do as they wished so long as they weren't caught, of course, because if so then it would disrupt everyone else's vacation day and well, Stede didn't want that. Neither did Izzy. Because, as expected, the two were spending their vacation day together. To no one's surprise. Lucius suspected they were just going to do a lot of fucking, which was likely the plan for him and Black Pete whereas Fang was sure it would be something far more romantic than that. Izzy told them to fuck off with their suspicions - except for the lovely fang - before he and Stede made their escape.

They took one of the small boats to the shore and rowed for a bit until they saw a small hut on a secluded part of the island, quite a ways from the nearest town. Both men agreed to investigate and found the shaded hut to the empty and this, they decided, is where they wanted to spend their time together. On the beach, underneath the stars. Alone. Just the two of them doing whatever they wanted.

So they started with a little walk just to learn their area. They found some berries they fed each other and a small little flower field that Stede absolutely fell in love. He made a mental note to come back and pick some flowers before they left the next day, but made sure to pluck one of the pink flowers and tucked it into Izzy's hair, earning him a muttered 'fuck off' accompanied with a blush a smile and followed up with a sweet little kiss. Kissing in a field of flowers, how incredibly romantic.

Next they made their way back to the beach where they sat for a little while, talked and then decided on a swim. Clothes were removed except for underdrawers, leaving them nearly naked, and of course Stede ended up ogling Izzy for a good couple of minutes. How could he not? His boyfriend was a fucking work of art. God, how he wanted to shower him in kisses and drag his tongue all over his body and--

"Bonnet."

Izzy's voice snapped him out of his inappropriate thoughts, followed by a slap to his arse making the captain yelp and laugh, before they made their way to the water with Stede assisting Izzy in whatever way he needed. Stede being Stede, kicked some water up at Izzy earning him a glare and a scolding, all in good fun, and once they were up to their knees, Izzy pushed Stede into the water, spending him into one of the incoming waves and he could hear Izzy's laughter from above the water. The blonde resurfaced and glared at him through his wet hair that covered his face and after tossing it back, he started splashing at Izzy who then jumped into the water and swam after him, having re-trained himself like he did swordplay. Gods, he was strong, Stede thought. The strongest person Stede knew. He overcame so much. He let nothing stop him.

His thoughts were interrupted when he was dunked underwater by his boyfriend and so he swam around him, resurface and started splashing him. Laughter filled the air, along with shrieks and shouts and curse words, but all with love and laughter. Eventually Stede swam up to Izzy from behind and wrapped his arms around him, trapping him. "You're mine now, Israel Hands." He whispers against his ear, smiling against it, and when Izzy turns his head to say something in return, Stede stops him by capturing his lips with his own, leaning over his shoulder a little so he's able to kiss him like this... in the calm water, beneath the warm sun... utter bliss.
