I don't write a lot of ideas for Death Defying so lets fix that.

Dick is going to his first rich party/gala since being taken in by Bruce, just a bit after debuting as Robin and putting Zucco behind bars so he's still a little murderous/angry/hurt over the fact his parents were killed but it slowly becoming cheery again.

The party is hosted by Vlad Masters, a man that somehow screams 'I'm a bad guy! Hahah!' more than Lex freaking Luthor does. And because Bruce looked into the frankly impossible ways Masters gained so much money in such little time it raises red flags, they decided to snoop around during the party. (and it'll give Dick some training into undercover work when playing 'civilian' mode)

So they go, Bruce acting like Brucie whose showing off his ward and Dick whose acting shyish and trying to navigate being around the rich.

So while Bruce has most of the attention on himself, Dick goes 'exploring' (cough investigating cough) around.

Dick wasn't expecting to find a hidden room, or maybe he should have expected it to be honest rich people am I right?, or the year older boy locked away in it with a collar around his neck.

I just had this idea while reading one of my deaf/hard of hearing manga, and devised an AU where Lan Sizhui's hearing was damaged by the high fever when he was a child. Plus, I have a fascination with languages so I was more than happy to collect another signed language (I've been teaching myself ASL & JSL for a few years now).

I so wish I kept wish ASL back in high school but even then (cuz of this show!!) I learned some but not enough to talk with it.. I can kinda tell signs but not enough to know know. Sigh need an app like Duolingo but for ASL.. all the ones I find aren’t free after one or two lessons. Or just aren’t helpful. I used to use lifeprint but I like how Duolingo is laid out more like ‘game’ lessons to help idk.

So today, I went into a comic book store and found a book called "The Art of Tekken." So naturally I opened it to a random page and, I kid you not, this is the page I opened it yoo

Thinking about Jackson and Sarah staying at the station with Gavin after school until I can pick them up after work. Everyone is just used to them being there. The kids are polite (“Still can’t believe they’re Gavin’s,” Hank jokes every time) and they don’t disrupt work so Fowler let’s it continue

Jackson sits in the chair by the desk doing his homework and distracting his dad by asking questions about the case. Sarah sits under the desk drawing and coloring after doing her kindergarten homework. Eventually I show up with little Jamie to pick up Jackson and Sarah. Some of the other officers jokingly beg me to take Gavin home with me too
