Writing Update
I've finished writing Part One of my epic Odin Anderson fanfic. 🎉 Clocking in at 21 chapters and just about 100,000 words, it follows Odin during the remaining Old Gods of Asgard years. Parts Two and Three will be shorter; Part Two is slated for 14 chapters and Part Three about 12 chapters.
The end of Part One is some of the best stuff I've ever written, and I'm excited to eventually post it!
That being said, I'm going to take a break from sharing chapters on Ao3 for at least a week due to the upcoming US holiday and some mental health stuff.
I've seen plenty of posts reblogged on here lamenting the fact authors are leaving fandoms/writing due to lack of engagement. I wish I could say I was immune, but lack of engagement has definitely affected my ability to write and my confidence/self-esteem. I'm steadily working on the latter, though.
But! I am incredibly grateful for the support I have received so far. It still amazes me people have embraced this little rarepair, and that there are folks out there who have read the entire series! Seeing the hits go up on all of the works in the series makes my heart sing, even if people aren't leaving kudos or comments. I love you all, and you're part of the reason why I'm continuing on this journey.
I'm very proud of the story I'm telling, and I will finish writing it as I'm hopelessly devoted to it. I also will share the entire thing. I just may need to take periodic breaks to rebuild my confidence. ☺️
