What if they got married, but like, a long while ago, long while as in somewhere during the 7 years of hobo Phoenix

Because after Miles made himself the second dad of Trucy (even if Phoenix was reluctant to get any sort of help) and she called it out, it just sinked in

They both went "Yeah, Miles is your other dad"

And then Trucy asked if parents weren't ment to be married, as the little child she was, and they took it up like a "Okay, yeah, sure, let's get married"

And they are married, just like that (taking this up from the Japanese context, where is far easier to just get married) and there wasn't any super emotional break thru of their feelings, they just knew it was it, even tho Phoenix likes to tease Miles about the "Unnecesary feelings" from time to time

And that's it, that's the only change and it actually changes nothing, because Trucy doesn't talk about it, like, ever, its just how her family is, and that's it, unless she gets asked she won't be bringing it up

The only reason Apollo and company ever found out was because one day they noticed that "Wait, why does Mr. Wright wear a ring?"

Because neither him, not Miles usually wear it, except for their anniversary once a year, and same realization happens in the prosecutors office

And so, they ask Phoenix but he gets saved by Maya taking him out for the trial of the day, and they are left to investigate into the matter, because they don't have anything else to do anyways, and investigating stupid stuff is literally their job either way, bad thing is, their only witness is Trucy who won't tell them a thing because she thinks is more fun to let them uncover it on their own

And then you also have the team investigating on Miles' side, that would be Kay, who is curious as if this will finally lead to know who "that man" is, Sebastian, who is taking this a test to prove he's learned the methods of research of his mentor, Miles, and then Klavier also joins because he is just curious and will take in any chance to not be in his desk for five minutes and also is friends with Sebastian, they were classmates back in the day

Gumshoe is not on the team becuase he actually knows they're married, he was the witness for it as Fransizka was still out with Interpol affairs, tho that granted him a visit from her whip, actually, three of them got one for not waiting for her to be there, Maya got to record the whole thing, even if it was just signing some papers

aww, man, i'm hella bummed over the news of ofmd.

i wasn't even jonesing that hard for s3 — like i'd of course watch it when it came out, but s2 reiterated and reenforced for me why i'll always choose fandom and fanworks over canon — but i feel gutted for the writers and actors. i feel grieved and jaded. and i feel aggravated that it is a familiar, well-worn groove of jaded grief over how queer stories and stories centred on non-white cis characters with diverse casts don't get their chance to flourish and grow. they don't feed the capitalist beast, even though they absolutely fckin do you're just dumb media executives. those stories are not as easy to market; not the sure, quick buck. not the stories for 18 – 25 year old straight white boys you can peddle to advertisers and that look good in quarterly-projection presentations.

i'm sad because the cast really seemed to get on. really seemed to have one of those rare mixes of chemistry and off-screen friendship. and i want to see them hang out and be creative together and fall further in love with now they portray found family on screen with so much ease and sincerity and full of genuine joy.

i'll miss them. i'll miss watching them play their characters. they seem to love them as much as and for the same reasons that we love those characters.

and to a lesser extent i'm a little disappointed to never find out what the plan would've been for s3, where djenks originally had the characters end up, how and if the creative decisions in s2 would've been addressed. fandom will of course find answers to this, and i know i'll probably think those stories are better if i could compare because i always do, but there's still a part of me that wants to know what djenks and the writing team and the cast would've done.

that all said, a part of me finds it extremely awkwardly morbidly hilarious that the s2 ending is now the official end. the ending that i can only read as a fascinating-yet-distressing lovecraftian horror story waiting to happen. like, not great as a final note due to how much it upset and divided the fandom. i wish it had been an ending that sparked opportunities for community-building and excitement and creativity that comes from a place of wanting more rather than feelings of betrayal or discomfort or creativity that comes from the need to process or to fix or to ignore.

but also as someone who enjoys absurdist dark humour, it's kind of perfect to me. the ending is an amazing (accidental) representation of schrödinger's cat of a conclusion. and i love it.

like, you can read the ending as happy. the main couple is together; the crew has their freedom and found family and can continue a life of adventure without the drama ed or stede can cause. izzy… whatever, i guess. whatever people who are cool with izzy's fate wanted for him.

or you can read the ending as, like: stede, run! you just shacked up with a known mentally and emotionally unstable guy who just very traumatically (and violently) ended a longterm codependent relationship. with the fresh grave of your boyfriend's ex right out front. because both of them are dudes that literally hoard each other's corpses because the codependence and obsessive possession just runs that deep. and you made these life choices while on an isolated spit of land with no one else around but the sea and a rundown shack whose aesthetics are straight out of a horror film. and that's implied to smell like death in one of your last lines of dialogue ever. nothing good will come of this, my guy.

They are not talking about it because it doesn’t fit with their narrative and they are too busy rejoicing from the announcement of the joint interview with Oliver and Lou (which Oliver doesn’t seem so happy to be in, his face on the picture speaks volumes, someone rescue him lmao).

I can’t really comment on the theory because I have barely read anything about it, though I think trying to prove how two characters have always been meant to be together using past scenes that have nothing to do with each other and knowing that T is only here because another actress couldn’t make it so they decided he was the character to pick back up, is not that great of a way to prove B/T are meant to be together. Surely there's a better way but what do I know?

Either way just try to ignore their takes if they are upsetting. I know I prefer to just be in my little corner of fandom minding my own business and being hopeful that our ship will eventually be canon.

2. Write about your ship helping each other to prepare a special meal.

Goro watched on day by day as Vaughn butchered every meal he ever tried making for them both, and day by day Goro would eat it with absolute pleasure, always admiring how hard Vaughn tried, knowing how picky Goro was with almost every food Night City had to offer, but he always made the exception when it came to his partner. Somehow with Vaughn being the worst cook ever, he managed to make his meals bearable.

It was the most endearing thing he'd ever seen, Vaughn wanting to make something good for his love every night, knowing just how hard it was to find something worth eating, it made it easier to eat anything Vaughn made, and he was happy with it no matter what.

The weekend had hit, and Vaughn's birthday had approached, and Goro thought it was a perfect opportunity to step into the kitchen, and help Vaughn prepare one of his favorite meals, spicy ramen. As basic as it sounded, it was Vaughn's absolute favorite, the spicier the better, and Goro was the expert on spice.

"I would prefer if you let me do it entirely, V.. but if you must, we can do it together." Goro spoke as he grabbed a medium sized pot before putting it on the stove and filling it halfway with water. He turned the stove on before stepping back over to Vaughn, who was already chopping some of the green onion.

"Oh, V.."

"What?" Vaughn smirked, he halted on chopping and looked over at his lover, who was dumbfounded. "Shapes are fun."

"I forgot you were still in elementary school." Goro slowly walked behind Vaughn, and reached an arm around Vaughn's side, his hand placed directly over his.

"Don't you know what happens when you do stuff like that?" Vaughn breathed out, just above a whisper. Goro leaned up towards his ear.

"Don't you know you could lose a finger with those chopping skills..?"

Vaughn rolled his eyes, but lovingly, as he allowed Goro to continue guiding him. He enjoyed these little moments of intimacy, doing things they both enjoyed even though one sucked terribly at it. But it was moments like these that brought them closer together.

The water was starting to boil just a little, but before throwing the noodles in, they got together the rest of the ingredients, adding them to the saucepan Goro had placed just a moment before, little by little, taking their time to make sure everything was right. Goro was still helping Vaughn learn how to chop the correct way, but it was still funny to see the way Vaughn could make actual shapes, even making a tiny heart out of one of the garlic cloves.

"You are a Casanova, V." Goro winked before adding the last of the ingredients to the saucepan. Now it was time for the sauce, Vaughn's favorite part.

Goro allowed Vaughn to take over much of this part, he loved spice, the spicier the better, and even though Vaughn could barely handle the heat, he loved it. The sizzling of the sauces and the dry ingredients coming together, and the smell looming around the kitchen made both Vaughn and Goro's mouth water. It was definitely the best birthday dinner Vaughn could ever ask for.

He turned around to grab the honey, ready to add in a generous amount, when he noticed Goro gripping the bottle. he snapped the lid open and squeezed a small amount of the honey into his index finger and slid over the Vaughn swiftly.

"Open." Goro stared at Vaughn intently, waiting for Vaughn to make the next move, and Vaughn wasted no time.

Vaughn very slowly gripped Goro's wrist, and brought his finger to his mouth before taking it all in, sucking leisurely as his eyes locked onto Goro's. He barely felt Goro's other hand clutching tightly onto his shirt. They both stood there wondering now what they had just gotten themselves into, but he continued excitedly.

Vaughn twirled his tongue around the entirety of Goro's finger, the softest hum you could hear escaped Vaughn as he reluctantly released Goro's finger with a gentle pop. They both stood there in silence for a moment, wondering who'd be the first to speak up. They both were breathing a little more heavy than they were two minutes prior. Goro couldn't take it anymore.

"I think.. maybe we should take this-"

Before he could finish, they both heard loud sizzling, forgetting that the water from the bigger pot was boiling, the water was starting to pour over onto the stove.

"Shit!" They both yelled out in tandem. They hurried to turn the stove off. It was starting to smell a little burnt from the items in the saucepan, and the water being spilled into the stove caused quite a mess neither wanted to clean up. As disappointing as it was that dinner was partially ruined, Vaughn had a better idea instead.

"Dessert?" He cocked his head over to Goro, who took a moment to understand.

"Dessert sounds very good right now V.."

Vaughn grabbed Goro's hand, making sure everything was shut off in the kitchen before hurrying up the stairs. Dessert was much better than dinner anyway, and it was Vaughn's birthday after all.

god the biggest issue with tsc is there's just too many ships and they are all such good ships ugh like cadam is my otp 100% but I also ship diadam and jassie they were amazing ships as well then you have chamberlake and fayana and fayelissa and fayelee and fayke and adaye god they are such amazing ships!! I do wish the show slowed down on all the romance but then again we wouldn't of had all these good ships if they had lol I do feel the first half was a little better than the second but I loved the show so much and if the cw gave it a second chance I think s2 would've been so good and focused on the entire circle and fleshed out the other characters more!! thomas dekker said they had plans for that with adam it just sucks the cw didn't do the budget right ugh and for those idiots out there saying the show was cancelled because of cadam you are so very wrong lol they don't cancel shows over ships lol and cadam was the main ship they were always gonna happen even if they hadn't gotten together in s1 they eventually would've happened and fyi they weren't over, they would've gotten back together down the road and if you think otherwise you're in denial!! they literally foreshadowed them getting back together in their breakup lol I do believe diadam would've gotten back together down the road and jassie definitely would've happened but cadam was ultimately endgame!! sorry for the rant it just annoys me when I see old posts blaming them for the cancellation because even if they hadn't of happened I think the cw still would've cancelled it because they are idiots!!

With hindsight, I probably should have realized I was polyamorous/ambiamorous sooner than I did. (And to be clear, I realized it pretty young. I just didn't have the terminology for it.)

Ignoring the fact that five-year-old me used to watch Signing In The Rain! on a loop and was already making up stories about Don, Cosmo, and Kathy all living together in Don's big house and *gasp* holding hands (maybe kissing), I was never any good at shipwars.

Like someone would ask me, "What's your OTP?" and I'd be like, "Well, I guess I like X/Y, but also Y/Z is good too..."

And they'd be like, "No. I mean your one TRUE pairing," and I'd just blink at them like, I'm sorry, I don't understand the question.

I'm sure they thought I was trying to stir shit or being deliberately annoying, but I just... couldn't wrap my head around it. Why did I need to pick one thing? There were multiple options with different things that made them appealing. That's like going to an all-you-can-eat buffet and just drinking water. Which is fine! If water is all you want, great. But you don't get to go to an all-you-can-eat buffet and judge people for eating different foods...

And when I eventually found out multi-shipping was a thing, I was like, "oh neat, that's what I do!" and while there was a definite feeling of having found my people, it was weird having the moral judgment from other people who seemed to think multi-shipping was a symptom of a greater moral character flaw. Like my inability to settle on just one thing meant I was more likely to cheat irl.

This wasn't helped by the fact that I... kinda already didn't care about monogamy? Not the way my friends did. I didn't mind that my then-boyfriend liked Sarah, too. What I minded was that he went behind my back and kissed her when he'd told me I couldn't kiss anyone else.

It was the betrayal of the agreement that hurt. Because we'd agreed. He'd asked me to be exclusive with him, and I did. And then he... didn't. And my friends couldn't grasp that.

It was all, "How could he kiss someone else?!" and my chief complaint was, "Why didn't he tell me first?!"

Anyway, if I could go back in time, I'd tell teenage me, you're not weird and amoral, you're just queer, polyamorous, and have ADHD, lmao.

Before my Inuyasha rewatch era I had like the millionth Atla phase of my life. Every time I have a different fav character like when I was little it was Zuko for obvious reasons, last rewatch before this one it was Sokka and this time I don’t really have an easily choosable fav character, but I ended up wanting to draw zuko a ton (that’s the pics above lmao)

It’s interesting that before the most recent rewatch I never cared about any of the ships or the shipping war but this time I found myself super into zutara of all things and feeling like canon kataang was kinda ass and wasted potential 😭. I feel like a toxic fangirl but it just brainwormed me bad last rewatch.

Anyways one of the top ones is adult zuko (I got inspired by the 2025 movie poster) but the rest are meant to be his og series age. I rlly hope they r not goofy but I got my little brothers approval so it can’t be that bad.

18- Write about how each member of your ship smells. 

Two weeks Vaughn had been gone out on the road. When the Aldecaldos asked him to join them on a little adventure to Arizona, Vaughn couldn't pass up an opportunity to get out of NC and enjoy the change in scenery. Goro however stayed back to take care of their little apartment, and their cat, Loki. He sent Vaughn off knowing he'd be in good hands, knowing that having a change in environment would be good for his health in many ways. Goro couldn't help but miss him entirely however, and was excited knowing Vaughn was due home at any minute.

"Hello, son.. Do you think he will mind this?" Goro kissed the top of Loki's head and he started setting out the spicy ramen he had made for Vaughn and himself when he reached home. He was just hoping Vaughn would be in a good mood.

Ten minutes had passed, when Goro had finally heard a familiar voice coming out of the elevator door. "Knock, knock." Vaughn stood in the living room looking as rough as ever. You could tell he had been outdoors for a while, his skin was tanner than usual, and he looked like he hadn't showered in days, but he looked good. Goro took him in for a moment as he slowly stepped from out of the kitchen and into the living room where Vaughn stood still, watching Goro watching him.

His dark blue shirt hugged his frame tightly, and was covered in dirt, and his jeans were ripped, he had been doing dirty work out there in Arizona, and Goro couldn't have been drawn to him.

"Are you.. okay? I missed you too you know." Vaughn chuckled.

Goro finally reached him, and placed his hands on his shoulders. There it was.. that familiar scent. It was one of Goro's absolute favorites, and it drove Vaughn crazy as to how Goro could possibly think he smelt good after being outside for so long.

"I haven't showered in two days." Vaughn rolled his eyes but couldn't help but smile and Goro buried his face into Vaughn's neck. "I smell like sweat and blood."

"You smell like nature. I love it.." Goro's voice was muffled, Vaughn could barely make out what he was saying.

"And you smell like cat food, and.. ramen?" Vaughn looked around, sniffing the air until he spotted the ramen on the counter. He was starving, but Goro refused to let him go.

"I should let you wander the outdoors more often, V."

"You'd get the full effect if you came with me." Vaughn played along with Goro's weird fascination with how he smelled, but at least he wasn't repulsed. Vaughn often smelled of rain water and fresh grass, and it pleasured Goro greatly.

"Now you tempt me.." Goro finally eased up, looking at Vaughn up and down and moving a sticky strand of hair from his eyes. he was glorious dirty and clean, a true aphrodisiac.

All to save HER.

Tell me you don't understand a character, who you didn't even bother to bring in, just used for a plot device, without telling me.

I actually haven't watched Picard. I'm sorry. I was immediately mad at it for the 'oh yeah Seven is queer, but no Janeway is HER MOM who ABANDONED HER you guys'.

We need More TNG stuff, because it didn't already get the bulk of what we gave the fandom...🙄

Bob forbid we could get a series, even combining DS9 and Voyager, in a 'what happened later' way. Voyager started on DS9.

I would love to see the crew back at DS9.

As everyone gets a chance to relay what they've gone thru the past 10-20 yrs, with people they may have not seen and/or worked with since Voyager or with new friends on DS9.

Tell stories of reacclimating to life after Voyager and after the war. The 'hey do you remember when?..' 'Did this happen with you when we got back? This was my experience. What during the war can we trauma bond with the DQ people' stories.

DS9 crew getting to know Voyager's officers can create a background on the two series continuity. Bring out deep cuts and cameo stories along the way. Bring a reason to bring their respective ships/crews to DS9. Not another war or disaster. Bring back the science and exploration Trekking. Admiral Janeway taking a small fleet of diplomatic and science vessels out from DS9. Nog is one of her Captains. Harry is another. Tom and B'Lanna jump for an adventure, after a few years of staying close to Sol System. With Miral and Naomi being members of Janeway's bridge officers. I'm putting Miral at Tactical and Naomi at Ops. Miral used the best of her parents talents, and Admiral GMA tutoring growing up, to become amazing at Tactical/Security. She was personally mentored by Tuvok in The Academy.

They have slipstream and make quick treks out from DS9 and back.

Edited because tumblr absolutely will not allow me to reply to messages, so I'm trying to reply to @booksnwriting:

The difference is that the other person put their prompt into a computer and the computer program took a bunch of artists' hard work and skill without permission to fill that prompt. I'm taking human skill, time and effort and using it to fill a prompt. What I'm doing is no different than any art challenge, or draw your OTP like this meme or whatever. Do I have their permission? No, but frankly if you're out here stealing other people's skills and calling it art, then I think it's only fair that your ideas can be turned around and used as prompts by people with those skills to produce actual drawings. Furthermore, what I'm doing is not hurting them, but if they didn't have access to a database of stolen work, maybe they would have given money to an actual human artist to draw their prompt, maybe they would have held a little drawing prompt contest and shared the art and gained real artists exposure which could then allow those artists to find work doing other commissions. Even if they didn't do either of those things, even if not having AI meant their idea just stayed in their head never to see the light of day, the existence of AI art in general devalues skills people had to work to develop and takes jobs away from those people by taking their existing work. That actively hurts artists. I'm "bashing" them because what they're doing is actively harming me and people like me.

Based on your user name I assume you are probably a writer, and I would like to ask you: is there more value in an actual human being writing things like fanfic (stories using other people's ideas as their jumping off point) or original books that include genre tropes than there is in typing prompts into a text generating AI?

how do you make a couple fight without completely cementing the relationship as toxic? what do 'healthy' couples even fight about???

as someone with zero experience regarding arguing with someone whom i didn't immediately cut off afterward because of how it was handled, i've struggled with writing this concept forever 😭

Every couple fights. Fights and disagreements are a part of a relationship just as much harmony and agreement. It's highly unlikely that there is a person with whom you always agree on every aspect. So, sooner or later you'll reach a point of disagreement and that can be about anything really.

A lot of couple fights are about the most trite things. Who does the dishes? Why doesn't the other want to do me that favour? No, I never said that. You must remember it wrong.

We are the most honest and blunt but also the most vulnerable with the people closest to us. That makes siblings fight a lot and it often makes couples fight more than good friends. Paired with love, these fights don't have to make a relationship toxic. Partners fight about whose turn it is to do the dishes. One ends up having to do it, and the other thanks them for it, promising to do it the next time. I think what is important when writing a 'healthy' fight is to show that even when they fight they still care a lot about the other. If it's a bigger fight, they're thinking about the other a lot afterwards. They feel bad about it afterwards, they're thinking about how the other feels now, they don't like making the other feel bad, they're crushed to find out that they're causing the other's misery. Their heart can't be at peace until they've apologised and made up.

Another sign of a healthy relationship is that minor fights aren't a rarity but are handled well. They can fight about the TV remote and it's not giving their relationship a crack or making them doubt their partner's love. Communication that is well-balanced between two partners and supports a symmetrical relationship doesn't exclude arguments but makes them a means to a functioning life together.
