Allay of the Riverward Faction (as of: the start of A Dream of Destiny)

A tall, fluffy, and round cat with mostly cream fur, golden and gray spots in some places. Her fur is wavy is sort of crinkly with European golden-plover feathers sprouting from her fur, and small wings on her back/paws. Her paws are rather large.

Wears forget me-not petals scattered on her chest fur; willow leaves tied around her tail, hanging out of her bag, and connected to her twine bracelet. Her allay bag is fastened to her back legs made of elephant leaf held closed with two twigs that cross to make a X, willow leaves hang out of the bag and twine hangs under it with Iris petals connected to the twine. A woven circlet hangs on her head, leaves sprouting from the twigs.

My own take on a @oldfacesnewdawnoffical oc! Actually really love her and making all the accessories was really fun. If you haven’t go check out Spotty’s sick ass world seriously it’s so cool. Monstera actually has Riverward blood but her bio parent didn’t want to claim her so a lil deal was made with her momma Crescendo to adopt the ‘foundling’ with her own kitten. If she didn’t have such a interest in healing and plants she 100% would’ve been a Observer. Absolutely loves her siblings kittens always bringing them things she finds, making them toys, and telling them stories or tales she’s gotten from her momma. She’ll even sing to them though becomes incredibly embarrassed if any other cat hears her songs.

on there being several groups that wander the wastes.. 👀 (totally not drafting a group of OFND ocs) -🪷

Yup yup!! There are TONS of different groups that occupy the Wastelands!

Let’s list a few for y’all’s oc-building pleasure ;)

There are the Houses, which are sedentary groups that occupy grand “skeleton structures” (i.e., the ruins of ancient buildings) that they have rebuilt and repurposed into easily guarded campsites. They are avid pack hunters, and House natives are lion-based. They will also commonly employ other felfolk, known as “companions” offering protected shelter (a very rare thing to find within the Waste) in exchange for various means of aid. Companions are lynx-based. They’re vaguely based off of fancy, old Victorian-English noble houses!

The Cloterns are also known as “circlers” due to their habits of seeking out hot-spots within the Waste and literally circling around them. Occasionally dipping down into them to hunt it for spiritual or cultural reasons, but otherwise keeping up a very nomadic, circular lifestyle. Clotern natives are snow leopard-based. They’re vaguely based off of Nordic Vikings!

Fealties are typically mass gatherings of several different factions of several different felfolk subspecies, who all operate under similar laws and beliefs, and occupy the ever-rare Wasteland hot spots. Less now a “cult”, and more just a broken system that stubbornly refuses to change. They’re very vaguely based off of the faction system of Divergent, as well as the Clans from the Warrior Cats series!

Groups in the Waste who banded together out of pure necessity or survival instinct, but don’t know each other very well and thus are suspicious, competitive, or even hostile towards one another are known as Glarings. They wander the Waste mostly aimlessly, drifting from place to place, staying in a group solely because it increases their odds of survival. They’re based off of irl cat groups of the same name!

The Nameless are a cult, sparse in number but widespread, and congregating around very specific spots of the world. We’ll learn more about them later.

The Matrons is an exclusively female family group, and are nomadic warrior necromancers of sorts. They do not allow any except for females within their group, and all who are not female are viewed with great suspicion. Matron natives are Amur Tiger based! They’re based off of the Sisters from the Warrior Cats series!

And ofc, there are others, but for now, these are the primary groups that’ll be featured!

To ocs: Absolutely!! OFND is my baby, and while it is technically a rewrite of Warriors, I consider it to be my own separate, stand alone work - and what creator wouldn’t want to see others enjoying their work enough to put their own spin on it? The only thing I ask is that you tag me in any public posts about said ocs or fan-factions or whatever your amazing minds come up with!!

To questions: ABSOLUTELY!!! I utterly adore receiving and answering questions, regardless of who they’re from and regardless of if they’re stand alone or rapid fire. Not only does it keep me engaged in my story (because executive dysfunction ahaha), but it also expands further on the story itself, alongside various characters and world building! It helps everyone involved have an even cleaner image of the story, and I love that.

Any and all interaction with OFND is adored and 100% encouraged!!!
