Question about Tiger- what WAS his end goal? We know that he wanted to be TC leader but he really quickly pivoted to "world forest domination" after that failed, which is one of those things that feels like thistle's law would oppose. Also why did he start going after half clan cats while also preaching for the clans uniting under him and him alone one leader? Other than kitty racism of course.
(Gently) If you think that Thistle Law would oppose total forest takeover, then I really recommend you head over to the masterpost on Thistle Law as a concept. Nothing about Thistle Law is isolationist, never has been
The ideology sets itself apart from Hard Traditionalism because it becomes willing to enforce some standard of xenophobic purity. That's what Tigerstar wanted to do. There is no "other than kitty racism." That's it. Stonefur, Mistyfoot, Stormpaw, and Featherpaw's lives are the result of codebreaking and that makes them lesser than other cats.
There is no logical reason for bigotry. It's not a principle. It doesn't make sense. It's reactionary discomfort and cruelty given form.
Tigerstar wanted to decide who was pure enough to live and who was filthy enough to die. These categories are arbitrary.
(Under the cut TW: speaking frankly about miscegenation, segregation, and genocide.)
"But if they all united under one Clan, then they'd just start mixing in the end, wouldn't they?"
No. They wouldn't. The steps go like this;
The groups live together and mingle too closely. To prevent them from interbreeding, the code is emphasized.
Someone breaks the code. They are punished.
The kits are dealt with; either eliminated or considered lesser.
But every birth of mixed children poses an "existential" threat. "Purity" is a concept that has to be protected, if a Pure parent mixes with the wrong parent, ALL of the resulting children are dirty. It is a threat to the concept of purity.
And this continues to happen, and "purity" must be protected, so... the groups need to be kept separate.
There is no such thing as "separate but equal." One group is an underclass, prevented from moving freely. This would have been RiverClan.
But the groups continue to mingle, people won't stay put in a ghetto. More extreme measures are taken. Sterilization, kidnapping, execution...
But that still doesn't work. There's only one solution; Genocide.
The logical conclusion of this ideology is genocide. That's where it ends. It doesn't matter if the fascist believes this at the stage he's at or not; that is the built-in conclusion.
Fascism is a death cult.
Tigerstar's goal was to take over the forest and arbitrarily decide which cats would be "True" cats of TigerClan. He would have weeded out cats seemingly at random, but heavily favored ShadowClan. Eventually, the Clans would shift into various classes, before each one is systemically eliminated.
IF he went unopposed. Fascism is unstable. Hyperemotional, self-obsessed, frothing egotists are REALLY bad at organizing government and its very structure is prone to infighting.
The enemy is everywhere, both strong and weak. You live in a constant state of paranoia. You waste all your money on ridiculous vanity weapon projects and overestimate your abilities to absurdity. You kill off all the intellectuals because you're too fragile to be told no. The biggest liar in history is the person who equated any kind of fascism with "evil genius," spite is blinding and insecurity makes you do stupid things.
Turns out, that's really bad for holding onto power. These regimes crumble like a shitty jenga tower eventually; problem is, they're deadly before that point and drag down thousands of innocent people on the way down.

I'd love to hear your other headcanons whether that involves cute things or their identities!
Ask and you shall receive!!
Doestar and Fallowsong were fond of long walks together. Fallowsong teased her about taking the leader away from her duties, something Doestar always scoffed at. To her, being a good mate was one of her duties
Mothwing loved Leafpool and longed to be with her. She had considered telling her, but after Leafpool ran off with Crowfeather, Mothwing believed her beloved friend would never feel the same. She tucked those feelings close, never once whispering a word to the ThunderClan medicine cat. When Leafpool was killed, Mothwing felt her life grow a bit duller, and only then, after everything, did she actually want those stars above to be real. All so she could see her Leafpool again.
Russetfur had many crushes and flings throughout her life, though nothing ever stuck. She liked she-cats, she'd get the feelings, but the settling down part of a relationship was never in her cards.
Ravenpaw leaned on Barley a lot after leaving ThunderClan. There was a deep trust they had in each other, something that went beyond where they came from. Even when Ravenpaw was offered a seat in ThunderClan, and even the newly formed SkyClan, both he and Barley said no. Even being together in either clan, they didn't want that. Ravenpaw and Barley wanted to live their own lives, without the confines and rules other placed on them. While they deeply loved their friends and family, the two chose to be loners, together, despite the many paws they could turn to.
Darkstripe struggled with compulsory heterosexuality, believing it was what he was meant to do. After all, legacy was of a great honor, and only taking a mate, a she-cat at that, and siring kits would grant him a "true" legacy. He sired Brindleface's kits, giving the she-cat the kits she always wanted without the promise of a relationship. Both were content with this arrangement, relieved in fact. The kits grew up not even knowing their father, for he was so distant that the clan could never have guessed they were his. He buried his feelings for toms deep inside him, seeing them as points of weakness and shame.
Jayfeather was given a great honor by the stars above, the creator beyond StarClan. He could walk with them forever, becoming immortalized in history and the stars as Blue Jay, the patron true to ones self. But in being the Blue Jay, being true to himself, he could never do that. After completing his journey and giving up his blessed powers, Jayfeather willingly returns to his mortal body to continue walking with his beloved friends and family, rather than passing on to a path of glory. His heart would always belong to Kestrelflight, and though they couldn't be together, they always knew they were under that same starry sky, just a single moor hill away.
When Jayfeather fell during the Great Battle, Kestrelflight wouldn't leave his side. Though the ThunderClan medicine cat still breathed, he did not wake. For a moon's time, Jayfeather did not move, many wondering if he'd ever wake up. But Kestrelflight stayed there with him, refusing to leave his side. He stayed in ThunderClan during that moon, making sure Jayfeather drank water, tending to both his clan and ThunderClan, acting as the sole medicine cat to both after they lost Leafpool as well. He worked tirelessly, to points of exhaustion, but could always return to Jayfeather's side in the evenings, and rest beside him in absolute bliss. He believed Jayfeather would return to him, and sure enough... he did.
Ratscar and Oakfur were childhood friends, and eventually became mates. After his sister Snowbird had her own kits, Ratscar and Oakfur began to talk about raising a litter of their own. With the help of Oakfur's younger sister Applefur as a sire, they'd become the parents of Redkit, Olivekit, and Shrewkit.
Runningwind may the fastest cat in ThunderClan, but he was often challenged by Redtail. The tortoiseshell tom often put up quite the fight, even back when they were younger. They'd go so fast, they'd trip over each other, falling down the heavy pathway and laughing as they tried to scramble back to their paws and continue the race.
Dovewing's gift of sight allowed her to see the territories clear as day, and a useful part of that meant she could find herbs wherever they were. With Briarlight helping Jayfeather in the medicine cat den, Dovewing would use her gift to find valuable herbs and bring them back, all in excuses to chat with Briarlight more and keep her company without Jayfeather snapping at her for taking up space in the den.
Hollystar never wanted kits, for being pregnant always sounded rather uncomfortable to her. However, Cinderheart never minded the idea. She talked with Hollystar about taking a sire a few times, but Hollystar always turned it down, finding even more discomfort in the idea of her mate carrying another cat's kits. Whether it was truthful or excuses to avoid motherhood, something she firmly believed she wasn't cut out for, circumstances would change when Flamekit was left orphaned, and Cinderheart believed the little one needed someone to look to now more than ever...
Hollystar and Cinderheart loved to sneak out at night and watch the views of the lake. Their thick fur kept them warm, even in the colder seasons. Those harsh breezes pushed them closer together, their fur brushing close against the other. Every night they'd watch the stars, pointing out which ones shone the brightest to them that night.
After helping Graystripe reach the mountains to visit his son Stormfur, Flipclaw was introduced to a way of life he had never seen before, and it was all through Feather. The two toms loved to perform little shows for the kits, Flipclaw enjoying playing the part of an eagle or mountain lion while Feather was the hero that fought him off and saved everyone. They loved seeing the kits laugh and squeal when Feather barreled Flipclaw over.
Tallstar couldn't help but wonder what it would've been like if Jake had joined him in WindClan. He'd try to pick some names, like Orangefur, and Fuzzybelly - but his favorite? Well, while nothing could ever beat the sweet sound that was Jake, Fireheart didn't sound too bad...
Gorsetail's fluidity was pretty even all things considered. Her clan got pretty used to just asking in the morning what she was feeling like and she'd say. He'd then operate under that until she let them know otherwise, and it became pretty systematic. Her brother Crowfeather and her nephew Breezepelt, despite what one may think, were actually pretty good at being mindful and asking.
Lark was born the son of Stormfur and Brook, alongside her brother Pine. Stoneteller Crag received a message in the waterfall, believing it was a sign Lark would be the next Stoneteller, and the young kit was trained from a young age to one day take the mantle. In truth, Lark never felt comfortable in her body, nor her position. She was the revered prince of her home, but she longed to be someone else. In truth the sign was of her leaving the group to find her place within the clans, and she'd flee to seek out the beautiful auroras only she could see, and the song of a silver she-cat that whispered in her ear. Upon finding RiverClan, well, she took on her new identity - the she-cat, Larkpaw!
The first cat Redtail told of his feelings about his identity to was Spottedleaf. The two were apprentices, and Redpaw came to her at the time hoping for advice on how he could tell Rosetail. He didn't really have anything to worry about, but it gave him reassurance that Spottedpaw was at his side. Willowpaw admittedly felt a bit sad being left out, though she never said anything.
Tree's affinity with ae/aem pronouns came from aer kinship with air. Ae always was an introspective tom, finding beauty in little things, and a big one was the air we breathed, and then released, circulating as we all share each breath. Like a tree, ae too took in that oxygen. Everything alive used it. Those pronouns made aem feel one with nature.

Births and Deaths
In the nursery, Splintershell lies sucking a single kitten, Valleyfalcon watching over them and purring so hard their body vibrates. Though birth is always considered a difficult and risky event, no one thought they'd lose Splintershell to it, not after the single kitten was all born and seemed fine. They thought the blood loss was under control.
Splintershell made her way to StarClan Rainkit (female) was born
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Valleyfalcon bends over the body of their love, wailing in dispair into Splintershell's fur. Valleyfalcon is grief-stricken. Echocaw, voice hoarse with grief, tells stories of Splintershell's care and wisdom as the Clan sits vigil for them, making sure PikaClan honors their parent. Echocaw is grief-stricken. Lakehusk and Cobaltnose are also grieving.
Will they reach StarClan, even so far away? Foggytwist isn't sure, but as they drift away, they hope to see familiar starry fur on the other side.

A world without Velvetroach at their side seems cold and empty to Shortjump, how can life continue like nothing happened? Shortjump is grief-stricken. Shalenibble is also grieving Velvetroach.
So much grief and death has taken its toll on the cats of PikaClan, Wreniris is particularly shaken by it.

Your patrol meets SplinterClan, a Clan they consider allies, at the border. (antagonize) Your patrol meets the other with glares and taunts but the SplinterClan patrol appears unfazed. The other patrol leader meets Tadpolemoor's gaze evenly and with confidence. Eventually your patrol backs down and leaves the area first, feeling embarrassed at the lack of reaction.

Untamed Reactions (Part 2)
Tumblr media
Requested by @lelewright1234
Pairing: Untamed characters x female!African-American!reader
Warnings: like maybe one or two curse words
Word Count: 2912 words
A/N here is part two, hope its good
Lan Xichen:
Tumblr media
You meet on the battle field
fierce corpses surrounded you as you tried to fend them off
this went on until Wuxian "died"
the second the battle was over, you fell to the ground
every bone in your body was hurting
most people disregarded you as they checked the field for people they knew
you didn't have to look around like others, you already knew
you had lost everyone
your parents, your siblings, your whole clan
but you couldn't cry for some reason
then Xichen approaches you, noticing you sitting all alone
every person alive had left the field, so you weren't hard to spot
he didn't say anything, he just sat next to you
and somehow that broke you
you just burst into tears
he's quick to hug you while trying to calm you down
he just hugs you for at least 30 minutes while patting your back softly
when you finished crying, he helped you off the field and towards the medics
you stayed at Cloud Recesses for awhile after all that
you often wandered around aimlessly, receiving looks of pity from others
but Xichen didn't pity you per se
he talked to you and let you rant to him
that's how your relationship blooms
you talk about your past, your clan and its traditions
he didn't know any of it before, your clan was very closed off usually
so hearing all the information was interesting to him
he helps you relive some of those traditions if he can
which makes you fall in love with him just a bit more
and a month later, you both have feelings for each other by then
neither of you admit it
it takes 3 more years before you confess
on accident
with the lovely help of 5 years old's Jingyi and Sizhui
but it leads to a now romantic relationship
and another 2 years you marry
it's only official, no ceremony
only Guangyao and Lan Wangji were there
just to have witnesses
you don't have children for a long time
too many things happens at once
Wangji suddenly turning up with Mo Xuanyu
then everything else
but then you do get pregnant
and then the temple thing happens
luckily, the baby was fine
your child looks like Xichen the most
she had his face and such, only your hair and a slight tan skin
she's sooo spoiled
Xichen spoils her too much
and if Xichen doesn't spoil her once
Sizhui and Jingyi will
because they're basically your kids as well....
she's their princess
she knows this and she'll use it
you have one more child after that
another girl
she looks like you, completely
she, too, gets spoiled
both kids love when you and Xichen braid their hair
because it means that you spend time together
after all, Xichen is very busy at times
so that time they get with their father is precious times
otherwise they're found with your two unofficial children (Sizhui and Jingyi)
because they get to learn about weapons
they love learning swordfighting
beside that they also learned different stuff
your eldest learned twin swords
your youngest chose the long spear
Xichen watches them like a hawk when they practice
afraid like they'd kill each other while sparring
he's the worry kind of father
you just trust the kids to be safe
they're kids, they'll learn
and if they take enough after their father, they'll be fine
Jin Guangyao:
Tumblr media
This man...
swears to not fall in love
and then you walk into the room
you're there to bring a message
nothing more nothing less
yet when you enter the room, you just glow
he gets caught staring by Huaisang
who just nudges him softly
he snaps out of his trance, giving you one last glance before focusing back on his task
you stay there for a week, discussing with the sect leader
he quickly figures out who you are
the future sect leader of your clan
and any hope of speaking to you get thrown out of the window
after all, he's still considered a bastard now
but you are kind to everyone, even him
and he knows that you know what he is
yet you genuinely give him a smile when you pass him and you always smile when you talk to each other
he sees you again a few years later
after he moves to the Lanling Jin Clan
you were invited by his father
he doesn't think you'd remember him
you do
you approach him with a bright smile
asking if he was around when you visited the Nie clan
you are super happy when he replies with a yes
he has no clue why
you're honestly just happy meeting someone you somewhat know
and trust
you don't trust the Jin's
even when he's technically one, he's more a Nie in your eyes
he stayed there for a long time after all
so you hang around him mostly during your stay
he doesn't mind too much
he asks about your culture under the pretense of politics
he will hurt anyone who hurts or disrespects you
without you knowing
but you connect the dots after awhile
he knows that you know
surprised when you don't confront him about it
but somehow that makes him like you more
he even forgets about everything he planned when he's with you
but nothing can stray him from his plans
until he's told to marry Qin Su
because apparently she likes him
he doesn't marry her
especially not after finding out the truth (they're half-siblings)
instead he asks if he can marry you
with your permission first though
he's psycho, not a douche
you agree
your parents don't really agree at first
they do later when they see how much you like him
of course it's a big wedding
apparently Qin Su was there as well
neither of you saw her
he was too focused on you
that moment made him feel normal
he couldn't not care about his plans at that point
you looked too beautiful to him at that point, no matter what other whispered
you looked like a goddess in your wedding dress
your hair done to match the headpiece with beautiful braids
when you have your first child, he wants to give up his plans completely
a son who looks like you
especially the hair and face
a year later, his daughter is born
a beautiful girl with his eyes and face, but a slightly tanner skin like you
and right there, Guangyao gives up his whole life purpose
his family is worth too much to risk
(don't know how the story goes on without his participation)
most protective one parent of the bunch, I think
will still kill if you threaten anyone in his family
and you know this
but he's also so caring
will spend so much time with the kids
even if it means neglecting his duties
don't talk to him about that
he will cuss you out
family is more important to him
will do anything for the kids
his daughter wants to braid his hair
because he's the only one without braids in the family
he has bald spots now
does not care
you just laugh every time someone mentions it
because he glares at them like an angry cat
or when other people laugh at the few braids in his hair
they don't look that good (she's 4, so logical)
because their from his daughter
and it is the most precious thing he has
so they can just fuck off
Xue Yang:
Tumblr media
you meet when you're children (after the finger incident)
both of you live on the street
you cling to him instantly
he gave you a piece of bread, who wouldn't love that
he is annoyed, but says nothing about it
he thinks you look weird at first
he isn't used to see someone of different race
but he says nothing, of course
you gain him more food for some reason
that's enough for him
but of course, he starts stealing after awhile
you don't agree with it but say nothing
you need to eat after all
as you grow older, you get a bit closer
both of you change a lot
you are the smarts, he's the action at this point
it's a good dynamic
you usually go around as a couple
because saying your friends wasn't received well
so pretending to be a couple is the way to go
and sharing rooms when you stay somewhere isn't that weird since you've been doing that since young age
but even when you were used to it, it felt a bit weird at age 16
you blame it on hormones
but everything just makes you blush
like when he buys a necklace you were eyeing
not steal, but buy
or when he gives you candy from his stash
you should be normal, he always did it before
but it still feels different now
and he stopped thinking you're weird
over the years he learned a lot about you
maybe a bit too much...
it takes both of you awhile to figure it out that you like each other
about 3 months
then you confess on accident
and he's just accepting it
because he feels the same
why else would he do the things he does
friends don't get candy or necklaces from him
you never really marry
he makes you a ring though
one of wood that he had been carving for awhile now
it's very pretty
you don't have kids
he doesn't want to raise kids when he doesn't even have a house
but he does want them in the future
you move and he looks for a place to earn money
you do the same
you work at a small shop
his job is unknown to you
but it brings money in because he comes back and is able to afford a place
you don't know how he paid for anything, but it's a fun place
out of town, but it's a place of your own
you have a child after two years of living in the house
twins
two girls
look identical to you except for their eyes
they have his eyes
(and his glare)
also his personality
little troublemakers
they love spending time with him
when he leaves for his job, they're sad
he makes it up when he comes back
sits with the kids for hours while he's braiding your hair for you
listens to their stories intently
your kids will reenact the whole story
he enjoys watching them
it makes him feel like he does the right thing
because for his family happiness, he will do anything
Xiao Xingchen:
Tumblr media
you are a lone cultivator
you travel here and there
just taking every job you can get
people don't really trust you because you look different
but you get the job eventually
but to your "luck", they send others as well
so you're not alone
2 men stand in front of the house you're supposed to be at
one in white, the other in black
the one in white notices you first
you can't help but feel annoyed though
because he was send by the same person you were sent by
they offer to work together with you so you don't return with nothing
you agree
during the fighting, you get injured
some ghouls attacked you while you were distracted
Xingchen is the one who notices first once again
he pulls you from the ghouls and places you in a safe place
you're even more annoyed
because you barely get hurt
yet the one time you work with others, your arm almost gets ripped off
Xingchen is the one to make sure that you're okay after everything
also the one who heals your arm to the best of his abilities
he introduces himself quickly while he wraps your arm with a cloth
you only later realize that said cloth was a piece of his robe
you stay in town for the next to weeks to heal from the wound and the poison
they stay in town as well
Xingchen visits you once or twice every day
you just talk to each other
eventually, he asks if you want to join him
you decline the offer
but your next job comes around
and he's there again
this time without Song Lan though
Song Lan was apparently sick
you didn't ask more
the job ends quickly
you're not injured
he is...
he insists he's fine
he does seem fine later when he yells at the person who hired both of you
and all because of you, in a way
because you were suddenly not paid
because you weren't hurt, how could you have done your job?
you never had someone standing up for you before
your heart beats a bit faster now, everytime you think or see him
you decide to hang around him after the third or fourth coincidental meeting
he doesn't mind the company, he even likes it
it's a bit lonely with Song Lan being sick
and he likes being around you
you have good humor
unlike Son Lang
but of course, he also has a crush on you
which causes you both to be a bit awkward around each other
you work around it eventually
aka you get drunk after a job
and he has to take care of you
you don't remember anything the next day
you don't know how much you drank
nor did you know how you ended up next to Xingchen in the bed
but it does end up in confessions and dating after
you had luck on your side that day
when you finally marry him years later, you are so exited
you don't do an official wedding
and really, your only guest is Song Lan
perks of being a lone group of cultivators
although you loved roaming around, both of you agree to settle down somewhere nonetheless
just so you had a place to return to every time
which became even better when you were suddenly told you were pregnant
specifically a doctor who found you passed out in your hotel room
and apparently you had two kids in your stomach that were causing all the nausea and dizziness
and the rest of the job you're stressed out
because how can you tell your husband???
you tell Song Lan when you return home
because Xingchen isn't back yet
Song Lan straight up tells Xingchen, congratulating the man
Xingchen is a a bit confused, but he has the spirit
when your twins are born, you have one girl and one boy
the girl looks a bit more like him, her skin a bit paler than her brother's
both have full heads of your hair
you've never seen a man so in love
you're kinda envious
but seeing him smiling at his daughter in his arms while you held your boy, made you feel some kind of way
it's the sweetest thing ever
and it makes you fall in love with him once again
he returns that feeling when he sees you with your son
they grow up quickly, something Xingchen doesn't like
it goes too fast for his liking
his son doesn't accept affection anymore and his daughter suddenly likes you more
but she lets him braid her hair
while talking loudly about something she did that day
his kids have him wrapped around their fingers
and your daughter uses this
even when knowing this, Xingchen still complies with her every request
he's a protective father
he knows what's out there and does not want them to see any of it
but deep down he knows he can't stop it
but he'll prevent it for as long as he can
Song Lan:
Tumblr media
(this one was the most difficult, sorry if it isn't that good)
you met quite cliché like
he saved your life
of course, you're forever grateful
so you ask for any way to return the favor
he doesn't say anything
which is a bit annoying
so you just make him a lucky charm
it doesn't too good, but it's something
and you're honestly really proud of it
but when you go back to give it to him, he's gone
so you keep it, secretly hoping you'd see him again someday
you do a few days later
and you just shove it in his hands and run off
you're busy
but he definitely remembers you from before
which is the only reason he keeps the charm
meeting the third time, you were walking around the market
he noticed you from afar
he noticed your hair was tied up into a large braid and your clothes were a bit neater than before
he couldn't move his eyes away from you
which ended up in him tripping and almost face planting
this didn't go unnoticed by his friend
Xingchen was quick to see what he had been staring at and could only smile
it was rare for Song Lan to take interest in others
hence why Xingchen decided that you two should talk
he pulled Song Lan along until the two of them stood in front of you
you, of course, recognize them and smile brightly as you ask how they are
Song Lan doesn't talk at first
until Xingchen suddenly walks off
leaving him stranded with you
and he was horrible with directions
so he has to ask you again
you don't mind showing him the way
so you talk on the way back, not telling him that you took a slight detour
you wanted more time with him, no other reason
you two have similar interests
which is why he asks to be friends
you agree
you don't see him for a few weeks
but when he returns, he comes to find you
this routine continues for awhile
you'd see him once every month or so and he'd spent that time with you
somewhere along the way, feelings grow from both sides
and you get together
neither of you really talked about it
it just felt natural, so it happened
this goes on for 3 years
then you somewhat ask for marriage yourself
he wants too and he's thought about it since year one
but he's afraid with his job and all
so he never went there
until you ask
and he feels a bit bad after that
so he proposes
with a ring he had already bought before
he found it pretty and wanted to keep it just in case
guess it came in handy now
small wedding
only your family and Xingchen
your family honestly doesn't like him much
but they're glad that you're happy
and he'll do anything to make them like him
your first and only child is a boy
he looks like Song Lan the most, only a darker tinted skin like you
Song Lan adores his kid so much
although your son somewhat looks emotionless to others, you can see all the emotions in his eyes
he's much like his father in that way
luckily, he got his social cues from you
and he probably has more friends than his father
then again, that's not that difficult
after all, he had two and married one of them
so you are a bit glad that your son's personality is more like you
but your son loves you both a lot
he looks up to Song Lan a lot
because he has a sword, so he's cool
yeah, the standards are pretty low
you weren't cool, cause you had a musical weapon
he quickly learns that this isn't true
Song Lan still teases you when his son chooses him over you for cuddles or such
he also likes the attention it gets him
he shows affection to your son, but in his own way
aka actions over words
he's a dad who brings back stuff from travels to show love
very loving dad

Headcanons about the Selkie Au and their time in the different regions even if it’s just what they enjoyed doing in that region or who their trusted friends were!
Sure thing! I've thought a lot about their adventures, though we'll see if I ever get around to writing them all. Here's what I've come up with so far, going through the regions in order of gens (and not including the spin-off games, I haven't played most of those, sorry Orre fans...)
This got pretty long, so throwing under a read-more!
Kanto: The twins have been to Kanto a few times, though they've mostly visited of late during their time living in Johto (see below). They helped set up the train lines between the two regions! They used to hang out a lot around the Cinnabar Islands, as it used to be easy for them to reach from Johto. Their Trusted Friend here is Professor Oak; they kept running into each other during Oak's journey, and he's one of the few who figured out their identity on his own. (Blaine also suspects them, but hasn't seen them to confirm anything.) The twins actually ran into Mewtwo soon after his escape, as they often would swim from Johto to Kanto and stop by Cerulean Cave before swimming back. They helped fight off a Rocket scientist that was after Mewtwo and helped guide him to safety in Kalos, but this had the unfortunate consequence of attracting Team Rocket's attention, so the twins had to leave the Kanto/Johto area after that, and likely won't return until Team Rocket's influence dies down.
Johto: The twins lived here before their current tenure in Unova! They helped set up the region's train lines, but when not riding the rails, they'd usually be found in either Goldrenrod City, or with their trusted friends in Olivine. Jasmine and her family have looked after the Selkies for many years, and is part of why they are the lighthouse keepers; the twins moved away when Jasmine was small, but she still remembers them, and they were one of her inspirations for becoming a Steel Gym Leader! In addition, Emmet used to be the terror of the Bug-Catching Competition, while Ingo was fond of visiting Kurt over in Azalea so they could craft Pokeballs together. The twins had to leave after rescuing Mewtwo, and the rise of Team Rocket has kept them from visiting. They do still chat with Jasmine and tune into their favorite Goldenrod Radio stations; on rare occasion, you can hear Emmet call in to throw curveball questions at Oak during his radio show.
Hoenn: Even though Hoenn isn't big on trains, the twins enjoy visiting here for a number of reasons. One is as a resting place between regions; there are plenty of spots for them to hide out and recuperate, whether they want to be around people in Sootopolis, or want to remain completely hidden on Mirage Island. The twins have a number of Hidden Bases tucked away for just this purpose! The other big draw of the area are the Lati twins, their Legendary best friends. Since the Latis can also take human forms, the two pairs of twins have gone on plenty of adventures together throughout Hoenn, generally with Emmet and Latias leading the charge while Latios and Ingo keep them out of trouble. Ingo and Latias will also sometimes team up for a Contest or two, while Latios and Emmet race along the bike trails. The twins actually have a couple families of Trusted Friends here! Their main one is Wallace's family, and Sootopolis as a whole is one they consider a safe place. In addition, their closeness with the Lati's have made them familiar with the Lati's Trusted Friends, which are Liza and Tate's family. The twins tend to visit both families for larger milestones, such as becoming Gym Leaders, or when Wallace became Champion!
Sinnoh: The twins stopped by here a few times before the events of PLA, so the Selkies already featured in the lore of the Diamond and Pearl Clans before Ingo's impromptu arrival. There will be a fic detailing the particulars of PLA in this AU, worry not! The twins have dropped by Sinnoh a few times since; Ingo always finds it bittersweet, seeing how much Sinnoh has changed since it was Hisui (and how the Galaxy Team was twisted into Team Galactic, while Pearl Clan scattered to the winds and Diamond Clan dissipated...). They always stop by Mount Coronet and its surrounding areas, as well as Jubilife and Snowpoint. Seeing as most of Pearl Clan has scattered to the winds, there are few left around who Ingo was able to remain close to...though he has kept ties with the families of other clan members he was close to. In a perhaps humorous twist of fate, it is Melli's family that has ended up as the main Trusted Friends, with the current friend being Lucian. Cynthia has also figured the twins out with her love of history, and while Flint doesn't know, he's similar enough to Zisu that he and Ingo became fast friends. With all these ties to Sinnoh Elite Four members, the twins have a habit of dropping by when in the area and challenging the Elite Four members to "friendly" battles. Everyone always has a grand time.  (Of note: though the twins don't encounter the other Legendaries here often, there will occasionally be a run-in with Dialga and Palkia, the latter of which loves to bring up the "hey, remember when you worshipped me for a bit? wasn't that funny?!" to Ingo. Which generally devolves into a brawl, usually begun by Emmet.)
Unova: Their current home station! The twins have visited Unova a few times in their past (yes, they've had at least one encounter with Reshiram and Zekrom back in the day), but what drew them to it in modern day? THE TRAINS. Soon as they saw Gear Station and all the railway lines, they decided to make Nimbasa their new home. They've befriended a lot of the big movers and shakers around Unova, and love to visit all of them and their various creative pursuits when they get a moment away from their subways! The twins deeply love their current lives in Unova, and have decided that this time, they're staying put as long as they can. Even when plot hits the fan, Unova is still their home. They have two Trusted Friends here. One is Drayden, whose family has looked after the Selkies for years; he helped them get established in Unova when they moved in, and is their uncle according to all the definitely legal paperwork. Elesa saw the twins as a child when they first arrived, and later figured out that the funny train men she encountered were also the seaside Pokemon she met years ago. Elesa functions as their main Trusted Friend here, being the one to look out for them when they have to go out to sea. Oh, and the twins are also on friendly terms with the Forces of Nature and the Swords of Justice (Keldeo is the only one banned from the Subway because...the twins still see him as a young little guy after all these years. He's itching to prove them wrong.)
Kalos: The first region the twins traveled to; it's also a bittersweet location for them, but one they keep finding themselves returning to. Part of this is due to Xerneas and Yvetal, who were influential in the twins' early lives; this will get detailed more in upcoming chapters of When Home is Far Behind. The twins do enjoy visiting still; they last lived here before ending up in Johto, during which time they helped set up the Kalosian railway (though they are DISTRESSED at the disrepair it's fallen into, and plan to return to fix it someday). The twins love all the different kinds of battle challenges set up around Kalos, from the cafes to the Chateu, so they like to go on battle tours whenever they visit! They even have a review list, where Emmet ranks the battles while Ingo ranks the coffee. Their Trusted Friend here is Wulfric and his family! Wulfric actually did meet them when he was young, and since he upheld the family tradition of maintaining the hidden Pokemon Sanctuary, the twins brought Mewtwo to him because they knew he'd help keep the newly created Legendary safe. Wulfric and family all refer to the twins as their cousins.
Alola: With how accessible it is by water, the twins have been to Alola quite a bit during their lives, and have lived on each of the main four islands at least once. They love racing the Mantine and Sharpedos or exploring the many caves! Their favorite of the four islands is Poni Island, which coincidentally is where Warden Calaba's family moved; their current Trusted Friend in Alola is her descendent, Mina! The twins briefly visited before heading to Unova, and Mina has traveled to Unova for art projects a couple times before being appointed to Trial Captain; she even has a couple paintings of the twins in Selkie form, though she keeps these in her private collections. The twins also end up partially back in Alola for a bit after the DittoDesigns incident in Selkie AU, so Emmet is able to recover and raise baby Emil away from prying eyes. It turns out that Arceus's Chosen in Hisui, Bedlam, is also initially from Alola...but how this plays into the story will be a question for another time.
Galar: The twins were born here in the Crown Tundra, though they were forced to flee after the Darkest Day. They have not been back since their initial departure, and only do so once Emil turns 10 so he can receive Calyrex's blessing, as all Selkies did at that age. Though the place is riddled with loss and heartache, the twins do still hold onto fond memories of their youth. They have no Trusted Friends here yet, though I'd like to think Sonia and/or Piers would make the cut, and they may have already befriended the twins if they've traveled to Unova. (I'm unsure if I'll have Pasio be canon in this setting...but Emmet is still definitely a fan of Piers' music.)
Thank you for asking, this was a lot of fun to jot down! And if you all have any questions/headcanons/etc along this train of thought, feel free to share!

Firestar Has Powers As The Fourth - AU
Tumblr media
ooo
so I'm gonna make this a TPB thing
but I will add some afternote info
for future events
in case anyone wants to do anything with this
[which idr if this was ever mentioned, but my designs and ideas and AUs are free to use I just ask for credit]
Rusty is a kittypet who is drawn by the forest and other kittypets are cautious about him as he's always had something about him that unsettled other cats
He seems to know about things no cat does and talks about things he's seen that no one believes exists
Rusty has the ability to basically safely separate his spirit from his body and wander around in his sleep, so long as his spirit has a place to return to
One night while he does this, his spirit travelling through the forest, he notices two cats sitting together - a blue-gray molly and a tortoiseshell molly -, talking. He isn't paying attention to what they say but watches them curiously, as he's done many times, but never so close to where all the strange forest cats slept
Suddenly, after the blue-gray she-cat leaves, the other cat looks and he realizes the tortoiseshell can see him do this and it frightens him into being wide awake
Despite his fear, though, he's also curious on what's going on and he feels himself being called towards the forest
Finally, gathering his nerves, he sets out only to find there's someone waiting for him.
The tortoiseshell from before is sitting out in the open and she greets him the moment she sees him
He asks who she is and she introduces herself as Spottedleaf and she asks if he was the cat that was spying on her and her leader
He sheepishly admits to it
Spottedleaf nods and then turns to an unseen figure that steps out of hiding. It's the blue-gray she-cat.
She's Bluestar and she admits she didn't believe in what Spottedleaf saw for a moment, but is quite curious about this young tom.
They have a long talk that ends in Rusty agreeing to join ThunderClan as long as the two she-cats promise not to tell anyone about his gift, as it has lost him many friends
With no goodbyes to anyone, he follows them
Rusty grows into Firepaw and is quickly mentored by both Bluestar and Spottedleaf. When asked, Bluestar states that she's curious if he's more suited to being a warrior or a medicine cat.
He's not interested in being a medicine cat at all, but rather Spottedleaf, being the only cat who can see him when he spirit walks, just wants to learn the extent of his abilities and such and has no interest in making him be a medicine cat apprentice.
They learn the hard way that she's not the only one, as he's noticed by another cat - a sickly ShadowClan tom.
When he returns, he mentions this and Spottedleaf informs him that who he met was Runningnose. She then speculates that perhaps its those with high ties to StarClan - aka medicine cats - who can see him.
Firepaw eventually goes to full warrior training to avoid any issues with the other medicine cats
Now able to hang out with cats his own age more often, he becomes fast friends with Ravenpaw and Graypaw, though he keeps his secret from them as he's worried they'd no longer want to be friends with him if he told them
He goes through his time in ThunderClan trying to avoid using his abilities - or, at least, not using them enough to get caught doing it
His stance on this changes after Spottedleaf dies, as he realizes he could've spied on ShadowClan and seen this coming, even though he had no clue he would've needed to spy on ShadowClan at all and it's kind of a illogical back and forth with himself
He makes a quiet promise to himself to use his powers whenever he feels he should to avoid losing anyone else
After Bluestar sends him and Graystripe to find WindClan, Fireheart uses his ability to wander until he locates where they are, leading his friend in that direction
Graystripe is in awe, thinking Fireheart is just the best tracker in the four Clans and looks up to him with great fondness
As they lead the Clan back, Fireheart is confronted by Barkface, who admits he isn't sure why, but he's certain that there's something strange about the fire-orange tom and he hopes that whatever that is, that it's for the good of the Clans
Fireheart promises that he's doing all he can to help the forest, even if he wasn't born into it
Barkface liked that
The gorge scene and Fireheart saves Sandpaw, coming to terms slowly that his powers can't help him with everything
Fireheart returns and Yellowfang is now aware of his powers, as Bluestar told her while he was gone. She wants to test his limits rather than just seeing them work. [Cinder and Bracken aren't apprenticed early]
While back to training in the medicine cat den, he learns he cannot physically interact with the living while his spirit is detached
They also learn, after he travels to the Moonstone as a spirit, that he can travel to StarClan and we learn of them a bit earlier than expected. He sees Redtail's spirit and he runs to ask him what happened, but is snapped awake by the sounds of Tigerclaw interrogating Yellowfang on why Fireheart is here
Fireheart interrupts by saying he was considering being a medicine cat
Tigerclaw accepts this answer and tells him he should bring it up with Bluestar
After he leaves, Yellowfang asks if he was telling the truth and Fireheart admits that he's not entirely sure. She informs him that if he chooses to become a medicine cat, there's always a place for him, but she warns him that it's not an easy path
Fireheart is aware of this
She also then adds that he'd never be allowed to have a mate or kits.
He's also aware of this
He goes off on a hunting patrol and while he's out he stumbles across a kittypet and she stares at him from her fence, wide-eyed. He's about to leave when she calls him 'Rusty' and he realizes that this is his sister, Princess.
Princess is happy to see him
He's happy to see Princess
They talk and she reveals she's expecting kits and he starts thinking about what Yellowfang said
Fireheart has been sneaking out to talk to his sister during the day and trains his powers with Yellowfang at night
One day Graystripe drags him off to go hunting before he can leave camp and the two of them hang out for the first time in a long time. Graystripe asks if Fireheart is actually considering being a medicine cat and he admits that he isn't entirely sure yet.
Graystripe, implying to like Fireheart, tells him that he'd rather be able to share a den with him
Fireheart didn't catch on and instead jokes that, with how much Graystripe gets into trouble, that he'll be in there more often than not if Fireheart does become a medicine cat
Graystripe is not impressed and goes off to hunt alone. Fireheart is confused on why his friend was hurt, but Graystripe refuses to talk.
After some time, Fireheart realizes that he isn't the only one sneaking out of camp and he decides to investigate, even though he was doing the same thing
There he sees Graystripe hanging out with a RiverClan cat
He confronts them and Graystripe introduces Silverstream
Fireheart scolds the two of them and Graystripe counters back that he's not the only one sneaking off to see someone
Silverstream leaves the two to argue and Fireheart asks what he's talking about.
Graystripe mentions he knows Fireheart has been going near twolegplace. He asks what business he has there.
Fireheart brings up his sister
Graystripe feels awkward now
Next time he sees Princess, he says he'd have to visit less often. Princess understands.
Whitecough is spreading through camp and Fireheart avoids the medicine cat den for the day as he's not sure what he wants to do with his life.
He goes to Bluestar and asks what he should do
Bluestar is confused
He brings up how he told Tigerclaw he was thinking of becoming a medicine cat
She asks if he's being truthful
He isn't sure
She then asks what he wants to do
He's still not sure
Bluestar gives him the option to train as a medicine cat for a couple moons and he can make his choice then
So Fireheart starts his journey as a medicine cat around the same time Bluestar gets sick. Tigerclaw's attempt to kill Bluestar ends with Fireheart almost getting hit by a car, but he manages to stumble over into ShadowClan territory. He gets scolded for doing so.
Some time later we get Cloudkit in ThunderClan. He is made aware of his kittypet origins a lot sooner and Brindleface loves him regardless and her kits defend him from being bullied.
Fireheart helps heal his Clan from whitecough and, while learning herbs, ThunderClan is attacked by rogues. They win and the Brokentail is Yellowfang's son reveal happens
Fireheart confronts Yellowfang about this and the two have a long talk about what happened with her life and how she had kits as a medicine cat
He's sympathetic but then asks why they don't just change the code
She admits she isn't sure
Fireheart promises change
She laughs a bit and says "sure"
Yellowfang is busy so she sends Fireheart to gather herbs and supplies. He brings Sandstorm for help. The two hang out and bond and she apologies for being an ass when he first joined. He accepts her apology.
The two become friends
They return to learn Cloudkit, Ashkit, and Fernkit are missing. They are found by the two adults and scolded.
Fireheart and Sandstorm are like two disappointed parents and Tigerclaw warns Fireheart not to grow too comfortable around Sandstorm or the kits
Fireheart is confused
ThunderClan helps WindClan against River and Shadow, but Fireheart is forced to stay behind, despite his worries for his Clan. Yellowfang shows him how to prepare herbs for after battles
Fire grows sus of Tigerclaw after learning that Graystripe almost died and the deputy did nothing to help. Graystripe is stuck in the medicine cat den and asks Fireheart to please make sure that the tom didn't hurt Silverstream.
Fireheart promises and Graystripe purrs, calling him a good friend before passing out
Fireheart grows more worried, however, about Tigerclaw and wants to ask Ravenpaw more about what happened that day
While Graystripe is recovering, Tigerclaw seems to be watching over the medicine cat den like a hawk. Fireheart doesn't think he'll be able to leave without being noticed and wonders if he'd be able to use his powers
Fireheart stays behind for the gathering as does Tigerclaw, the deputy stating that he doesn't trust Brokentail.
Fireheart uses his powers and travels to the barn. That's when he learns, for the first time, that he can basically create a shared dream space in StarClan for cats to talk, as he accidentally brings Graystripe as he was thinking about him while creating the space.
The three talk and Ravenpaw tells them everything, seemingly still thinking this is a dream.
Fireheart later confirms this is a dream and realizes then that he can physically interact with Ravenpaw here and realizing he's more or less controlling the tom's spirit to be there.
This makes Fireheart worried, but Ravenpaw and Graystripe wake up safely.
Fireheart has Sandstorm help him get Graystripe out of camp for a bit and the three hang out and bond, warming up to each other. Fireheart is becoming aware about these feelings he's having about Sandstorm and tries to ignore them. However, he also thinks about Yellowfang and how silly the rule that medicine cats can't have a mate or kits is, especially since it's not like he'd be the sole parent of the kits.
He realizes he's thinking like this and tries to act like he wasn't imagining a life with him and another cat
Granted he's not sure who the other cat was, but brushes Graystripe off as an option, since the tom has a mate already
Speaking of, Graystripe got them a chance to talk to a cat who had seen the battle - Graypool - and thinks she may know something. They agree to meet her the next day.
Before they go, though. Apprentices. Cinderpaw goes to Sandstorm, Brackenpaw goes to Runningwind, Brightpaw goes to Whitestorm, and Thornpaw goes to Mousefur
The plot where Graypool tells them about Mistyfoot and Stormfur happens as well as Bluestar being dismissive about it remains the same.
Everything goes about the same, minus Fireheart having warrior duties and more him learning how to be a medicine cat and having conflicting feelings about the rule about not being able to have his own family. Also maybe a bit where Brokentail taunts him about the death of Spottedleaf and how ThunderClan needs kittypets to heal them, which he does his best to ignore.
Fireheart agrees to help Graystripe visit RiverClan during the flood under the terms that he's checking if the medicine cat, Mudfur, needs any aid.
They save Mistyfoot's kits and Fireheart agrees to help them while Graystripe aids a hunting patrol. Graystripe returns, but Fireheart is permitted to stay behind.
This is when he learns that Silverstream is pregnant. He's shocked, but keeps her secret. The two talk for a while and he understands why Graystripe would admire her, as she's independent and has a strong heart. While in camp, however, he notices something strange. Like a shadow is following Silverstream wherever she walks that belongs to a much different cat.
Graystripe is still secretly delivering prey and aiding patrols while pretending to check on how Fireheart is doing.
When Fireheart returns, Bluestar has many questions for him and it makes him curious, but he assures his leader that RiverClan will be okay.
Fireheart notices Tigerclaw is visiting near the medicine cat den more often and sees him near Brokentail and is curious on what's going on. He wonders if there's something going on or if Tigerclaw has developed empathy.
There is another attempt on Fireheart's life [the almost drowning], but Longtail saves him and Tigerclaw brushes off what happened and informs Bluestar about the flood
It's revealed at the gathering by Nightstar that ThunderClan has Brokentail and the other Clans are mad
Shadow and Wind invade Thunder, get chased off etc
Cinderpaw is hurt during the fight and Sandstorm uses that as an excuse to visit, despite also being hurt and needing to visit anyway.
Fireheart notices Graystripe leave camp and he excuses himself. He follows and learns Silverstream is having her kits. Sandstorm and Cinderpaw, who followed, are surprised as well.
The group of them come together and help Silverstream, but she's actively dying. Fireheart lays next to her to help keep her warm and uses his powers for the first time in a bit and manages to use his connection to spirits to keep her alive.
Also Tigerclaw arrives on the scene as he wakes up from saving her
Silverstream and her kits are brought into ThunderClan and Graystripe is revealed to be the father.
Goldenflower helps Silverstream take care of the kits while Tigerclaw yells at the small group. Bluestar takes over the situation.
In private she admits to Fireheart that Mistyfoot and Stonefur is her kits and that she hopes Graystripe knows what he's going to do.
Fireheart asks what she thinks should happen but she doesn't answer
Tigerclaw is still mad
Silverstream is not doing great and soon enough needs to be brought back into the medicine cat den
There's talks of sending her home to avoid any tension with RiverClan, especially since Brokentail is still in camp and Crookedstar would be upset if he learned his daughter was so close to a killer
After a couple days and her condition getting worse, Bluestar decides it's time to send her home, especially after Willowpelt announces that she's expecting Whitestorm's kits
A patrol is sent to get RiverClan and Crookedstar brings some of his warriors to pick up his daughter and her kits. Graystripe goes with them, worried over his kits.
A meeting is held as Cloudkit becomes Cloudpaw. Bluestar personally trains him.
One day Fireheart asks permission to have Cloudpaw collect herbs. Bluestar allows this. He brings Cloudpaw to meet his mother, Princess, instead.
Fireheart becomes Yellowfang's official apprentice now, choosing to use his powers to help, but also still keeping up on battle-training as it's helping him calm his nerves.
While Yellowfang and Fireheart are doing some light battle training to keep their skills up and also talk about Fireheart's worries about Tigerclaw when they see Tigerclaw with a group of rogues
The two run back to camp and things go the same with ThunderClan fighting the rogues and Brokentail siding with the rogues
Fireheart gets Sandstorm's help in saving Bluestar and Sandstorm goes feral on Tigerclaw for a moment before the rogues are chased off
Bluestar exiles Tigerclaw. He tries to get cats to join him, but they all say no.
Brokentail is killed and Fireheart is dragged off to the side by Bluestar and she demands him to help her chose a deputy, since she can't choose him.
He chooses Sandstorm
Bluestar trusts him and she announces Sandstorm as her deputy. Sandstorm is shocked but accepts.
ThunderClan begins recovery and Fireheart is worried about Bluestar and Graystripe - the leader being on edge and paranoid and his friend being far away with no news on how he or Silverstream are doing.
Sandstorm visits him that night and the two talk about what happened - Fireheart not mentioning that Bluestar asked him to choose a deputy - until they fall asleep.
Some time passes and Sandstorm is taking over helping the Clan quite well; Whitestorm is proud of her. She does come to Fireheart with some worry over Bluestar and Cloudpaw, but Fireheart comforts her.
Fireheart is personally worried about what Tigerclaw is doing and seeing Bramblekit only makes him worry more. He has that talk with Goldenflower about her kits
When Fireheart heads out, he noticed Sandstorm is frustrated still and he asks what's going on She mentions apprentices ceremonies and how Bluestar brushed her off about it. She expresses both worry and annoyance about this.
The two go talk to Bluestar and Bluestar tells Sandstorm to do the ceremony if she's so worried about it
So Sandstorm does. Ashpaw is apprenticed to Dustpelt and Fernpaw is given to Darkstripe.
Bluestar's mad that Sandstorm actually did that and the Clan is a little confused, but goes with it. It's also at this point that Fireheart realizes that Cloudpaw is missing, as he was busy with so much.
He asks Bluestar and she mentioned sending him off hunting right as Cloudpaw returns with a single piece of prey.
Fireheart is worried
Bluestar later drags Fireheart off to the Moonstone, leaving Sandstorm alone. She vents to Fireheart and reveals he's the only cat she trusts and she's even on edge about Sandstorm.
She asks if he's sure about being a medicine cat, even offering to drop Sandstorm as deputy and give him Cloudpaw, but he's certain.
They are confronted by a WindClan patrol and Fireheart tries to be diplomatic and use him being a medicine cat as an excuse, but WindClan is made and refuses to let them pass.
Bluestar almost gets into a fight but Fireheart almost drags her back home.
The Clan is also angry after they learn what's going on. Except Cloudpaw, who is rather unbothered.
She returns to her den and doesn't seem worried about Cloudpaw. Fireheart is worried about Cloudpaw.
Sandstorm and Fireheart talk to each other about their worries for Bluestar and Fireheart is very supportive of Sandstorm. This helps the deputy relax and she thanks him awkwardly.
The gathering doesn't go great
Things go the same with Whitethroat and Littlecloud and Yellowfang teaches Fireheart about this disease and what to do about it However Bluestar sends the ShadowClan warriors away Sandstorm helps Fireheart escort them
Fireheart explains to the two on what to do and Littlecloud asks a lot of questions. Fireheart gives what answers he can.
Littlecloud asks if he could come see Fireheart for more information and Fireheart, surprised, looks at Sandstorm, who pretends she isn't listening He then agrees
They watch the two leave through a tunnel and Sandstorm becomes a bit worried, admitting she'd never noticed the tunnel before.
She wants to tell Bluestar, but Fireheart has her promise not to, since he wants to help ShadowClan
She hesitates but agrees
Fireheart comes back and notices that Cloudpaw is just being allowed to do whatever and Bluestar isn't really training him. He drags Cloudpaw out to train but Cloudpaw is a brat about it.
Fireheart tries to counter that he originally trained as a warrior, but Cloudpaw still doesn't care
He lets Cloudpaw wander off but follows him in secret, learns he's eating kittypet food, and gets mad. He talks to Sandstorm about this and the two try to talk to him about it, but he honestly does not care what they have to say.
Soon after Fireheart helps Willowpelt give birth and he thinks about Sandstorm
He tries to push these thoughts away, but he has a lot of feelings towards her
Fireheart is training Littlecloud in Littlecloud's dreams and also sneaks to the tunnels to help anyone that is struggling
Sandstorm catches him and scolds him while also helping. Sometimes she even brings Cinderpaw sometimes, though this is less out of willingness and more out of the fact no one's allowed to tell Cinderpaw what to do, not even her deputy mentor.
Sandstorm also quietly mentions that pretty soon there will need to be warrior ceremonies.
They return to learn that Cloudpaw has been missing for a while and Fireheart panics
He uses his power to try to hunt down Cloudpaw but is unable to find him. He wakes up in an even bigger panic and Sandstorm is confused how he increased panic after a sudden nap.
He tells Sandstorm about his powers and she's surprised but promises to keep it a secret. He informs her that Bluestar knows and that, if she asks, tell her what he's doing.
She guards him as he frantically uses his powers to try to find his nephew. He even uses a moment to inform Littlecloud, who can see him naturally now, and the small tabby promises to help keep an eye out.
During one of his wake ups, he learns from Sandstorm that Bluestar and Whitestorm are aware of what's going on - with Whitestorm to a lesser degree as both she and the leader talked vaguely about Fireheart's powers.
She also brings up that cats are starting to whisper about how much time she's spending helping him.
He's confused for a moment but becomes flustered when he remembered how he was thinking of Sandstorm while helping Willowpelt.
He asks if she's upset he became a medicine cat and she says no, but seems to be holding something back
He then asks if it's possible if the two can remain close and she's confused before he elaborates that he likes her a lot but there's not much that can be done. Even then he goes on and adds that he wants there to be a change because he cares about her a lot. She cares for him, too.
They begin secret dating with plans to make their dating not a secret in the future.
Worries and stress grow through the Clan and there's a small point in time that Fireheart has to stop searching for Cloudpaw in order to help the Clan.
Everyone's worried about Bluestar
While grabbing water for the queens and herbs for Yellowfang, he encounters Graystripe and realizes it had been a moment since he thought of his friend and he feels a little guilty
Graystripe talks about Silverstream's condition and how she's still alive but a lot weaker than before. Still, she's kicking and refuses to go down.
Fireheart is happy to hear that and gives Graystripe some herbs to take back to Mudfur to help Silverstream.
the plot with Mousefur and Thornpaw is about the same, though Fireheart comes to help with Runningwind. While the patrol chases away ShadowClan cats, Tigerclaw attacks Fireheart while he's alone and Fireheart fights back
Tigerclaw actively tries to murder Fireheart with the help of rogues, but Graystripe and a RiverClan patrol help and Tigerclaw is chided for trying to harm a medicine cat
The rogues are chased off, Runningwind is buried, Whitethroat is given a proper funeral, and he vents to Yellowfang about Tigerclaw.
After his wounds are taken care of, he casually brings Sandstorm out of camp to get help gathering herbs, except they just cuddle and talk and she expresses her worries to him
Ravenpaw stumbles across them and chooses not to ask questions, instead informing them of a kittypet with a ThunderClan scent
Fireheart is surprised, Sandstorm is cautious, and in the end they decide to go. Fireheart considers using his powers to make sure, but Sandstorm asks what other ThunderClan cat would willingly become a kittypet.
They have a small argument as he doesn't believe it was willing and she does apologize while they travel.
They Cloudpaw rescue goes the same, including the confrontation with the WindClan patrol. WindClan is still mad at ThunderClan, despite Fireheart's best attempts to be reasonable.
The fire also still happens in about the same way, but Fireheart comes out the full medicine cat of ThunderClan and has a Tigerstar child with him
While in RiverClan, Sandstorm is working hard to keep ThunderClan under control and safe.
Fireheart checks with Silverstream and Graystripe and meets Featherkit and Stormkit. Silverstream still isn't doing the best, but Mosspelt is shown to often help take care of the kits when Silverstream's having one of her weaker episodes.
Fireheart is worried about her but Graystripe is confident that she's going to be okay. Fireheart notices the shadow from before does seem weaker.
Fireheart, Sandstorm, and Graystripe go to check on ThunderClan's camp after the rain puts the fire out. Yellowfang is dying and she talks to them before passing away.
Fireheart is not, even more officially, the medicine cat of ThunderClan. Sandstorm expression worry but he comforts her, both as now the sole cat in charge of healing and as her mate.
ThunderClan returns to their territory, Bluestar declares war on StarClan, Sandstorm starts rebuilding ThunderClan's camp, and Fireheart and her worry over Bluestar only grows.
Bluestar refuses to go to the gather and a stressed out Sandstorm takes over, just getting more and more frustrated to the point Fireheart is hardly able to help.
As they talk about their future and what they're going to do, they get to the gathering to find Tigerclaw is now Tigerstar of ShadowClan.
Sandstorm is angry and calls Tigerstar out for the shit he did to ThunderClan. Tigerstar remarks that he's here to make ShadowClan strong and that ThunderClan is made of weak, know it all cowards.
This is a very unpeaceful gathering and it ends early with ThunderClan barely getting through their news without Tigerstar egging Sandstorm on and pissing her off He insults her covering for Bluestar and taunts ThunderClan about Fireheart until they leave.
Sandstorm informs everyone about Tigerstar and Bluestar is absolutely no help in the situation, confiding her worries into Fireheart and once more making another offer to make him deputy.
Fireheart misses Yellowfang and isn't sure what to do in this situation, still denying the role.
Time passes and ShadowClan is quiet. There is some worry over dogs, so Sandstorm sends a couple patrols at her former mentor's request to soothe any troubled minds.
Fireheart and Sandstorm learn from Graystripe that Crookedstar's unwell and Leopardfur is taking charge of RiverClan. He also brings up how Silverstream is at least healthy enough for short patrols.
That night, Fireheart has a dream and hears the words 'pack, pack, kill, kill'
Worried for Silverstream, he goes to check on her as a spirit only to be confronted by the shadow of a molly who seems to be weakened greatly.
She hisses and attacks him and he's surprised to find that he's actually hurt, causing him to realize that she's a ghost
She's angry that Silverstream is alive and tries to attack him again, seeing it as his fault - also vowing to "get rid of her little scraps with her".
Fireheart manages to chase her off
He returns and is overwhelmed with everything that just happened.
He hears the mentors talking about their apprentices and Sandstorm agrees that they should be made warriors. She's tired of waiting for Bluestar and admits she's tempted to do the warriors ceremony without the leader.
The other cats are in agreement.
He is drawn to the medicine cat den by the sound of Snowkit getting hurt. The whole confrontation with Snowkit happens and Fireheart decides to watch over the kit.
He goes for the medicine cat meeting and learns what all is going on in ShadowClan. That night he spends the time trying to figure things out by himself, but does talk to Yellowfang and Spottedleaf for a bit for their feelings on the matter.
While out gathering herbs, he comes across Sandstorm who came across Princess and stops Sandstorm from smacking his sister by revealing that she's his family
Sandstorm is understanding
They learn that dogs are missing and on their way home, they pass RiverClan and learn that Tigerstar is manipulating Leopardfur and that Graypool is missing
Graypool's death happens
After he returns he also learns Snowkit is deaf. Bluestar does not like this and Speckletail does not like Bluestar. Sandstorm currently also doesn't like Bluestar.
Speckletail and Brackenfur work together to try to train Snowkit with express permission from Sandstorm
Fireheart overhears talks about dogs and learns they found dog scent at Snakerocks. He also overhears Sandstorm and Bluestar's very vocal fight about this and starts heading to the nursery to get away from it when the hawk comes
He makes a made dash to Snowkit and gets hurt as he's almost grabbed by the hawk.
Bluestar is angry at Fireheart being reckless and shows this is more of a sign that StarClan wants to fight ThunderClan.
Fireheart is hurt and needs medical attention but is also ThunderClan's only medicine cat Still, he aids Sandstorm in calming cats down
He gets help from Sandstorm, Brackenfur, and Cinderpaw. They help patch him up, help Snowkit calm down, and he thanks them, joking that they'd be good medicine cats.
Sandstorm scuffs his ear for being an idiot
That gathering that Bluestar leads goes about the same and Sandstorm has to do damage control.
Fireheart learns from Sandstorm that Bluestar wants to start a war with WindClan. They agree on a plan to fake a sign for Bluestar and then just politely ask Tallstar to talk things out.
While they're getting ready, they spot Darkstripe with Goldenflower's kits outside of camp and Sandstorm goes off on him. She bans him from being near the kits and leads them back to camp. Fireheart goes off without her.
He gets Tallstar, makes a sign for Bluestar, and they go for a peaceful meeting.
The meeting is pleasant, but afterwards Bluestar goes off on Fireheart and Sandstorm and warns them that there will be no more treachery like that Sandstorm tries to argue, but Fireheart becomes actually worried for her safety and stops her
Bluestar goes missing for a bit, having gone to Highstones, and comes back with news about her time there and mentions the pack thing.
During one leaffall day, Swiftpaw comes running in from a patrol and mentions how RiverClan attacked a border patrol. Fireheart gathers his supplies and runs to go help.
Sandstorm is unable to stop him.
He comes in time to see Mistyfoot and Stonefur about to kill Bluestar and he stops them. They're confused and confrontational about a medicine cat being on the front lines.
Fireheart reveals that Bluestar's their mother. They don't believe him.
He is then almost thrown by Leopardstar, who is stopped by the warriors, warning her that he's a medicine cat. Leopardstar implies he's an idiot for being in the way of dangers and threatens him harm, only to be chided by her deputy, Stonefur.
RiverClan gets driven away
Fireheart helps cats with their injuries on the way back.
Bluestar holds a warriors ceremony. But only for Cloudpaw. Who is now Cloudtail.
The mentors are angry but she refuses to listen. Sandstorm goes to yell at her for a bit.
While this is going on, Swiftpaw storms out of camp with Cinderpaw, Brightpaw, and Brackenpaw behind him. Brackenpaw s trying to convince them to stop and Cinderpaw was on her brother's side until Swiftpaw made some good points.
Brackenpaw eventually falls back and goes to warn his Clanmates.
Fireheart watches in worry as Sandstorm, Whitestorm, Longtail, and Cloudtail go out to find them.
It takes a while, but they come back injured with three equally injured and scared apprentices. Fireheart tends to their wounds, stressing out greatly over Swiftpaw, who is the most injured. He's worried the apprentice won't make it through the night.
Sandstorm takes over the situation again and decides to hold proper warrior ceremonies, stating that this shouldn't have happened and expressing her disappointment in Bluestar quite loudly.
She makes the apprentices warriors; Cinderstorm, Brightsong, Brackenheart, Thornclaw, and Swiftstrike. She also goes on to make herself Tawnykit - now Tawnypaw's - mentor, has Cinderstorm mentor Bramblepaw, and has Brackenheart mentor Snowpaw - with help from Speckletail.
Bluestar is absolutely outraged and confronts her at the Clan meeting.
Sandstorm isn't having Bluestar's bs.
Bluestar than proceeds to demote Sandstorm and forces Fireheart to play the role of both deputy and medicine cat.
Everyone is confused and concerned, especially Fireheart, who has enough shit going on.
Fireheart spends his time taking care of the injured cats while trying to keep Bluestar calm and also doing what he can as deputy - while just doing what Whitestorm and Sandstorm tell him what to say and do as deputy.
He is overworked
He's still dragged off to the gathering, too, where he looks and feels terrible. He learns Graystripe's kits are apprentices and Tigerstar tries to get custody of his kits.
Bluestar's tempted but Fireheart manages to reason with her
Fireheart is taken away from camp for a bit by Cloudtail, Sandstorm, and Brightsong under the lie to their leader of a patrol. They meet Princess and she is worried.
The meeting with Princess happens and Fireheart passes out the moment he's in the medicine cat den.
He wakes up to Longtail, who expresses worry about dogs in the territory. He only agrees to go with him if he can take Sandstorm and Whitestorm. Longtail agrees and is surprisingly understanding.
Fireheart and Sandstorm take some time alone to be together and just breathe. They're mildly affectionate and she tells him to send patrols this way.
He promises she'll be deputy again
Brindleface death reveal goes about the same
Fireheart teams up with the Clan to make a plan to lead the dogs away from camp and eventually steps back as Sandstorm takes control and lets her be deputy.
He catches Darkstripe again with Goldenflower's kits and Whitestorm keeps a close eye on them.
Fireheart is on the sidelines, ready to help in case something goes bad.
Everything goes okay until the dogs scent him instead of their next target - thanks to Tigerclaw - and Fireheart is forced to flee from the dogs until Bluestar saves his life and gets him out of danger.
The dogs get chased over the edge and Bluestar dies.
The first thing he does is give Sandstorm back her proper place and she's ready to become leader of ThunderClan.
Bluestar is brought back to camp, the funeral, Mistyfoot and Stonefur go back to RiverClan, Sandstorm is announced as the new leader, and Fireheart joins Sandstorm on their trip to the Highstones.
While there they talk about talking to StarClan about their relationship and Sandstorm assures that she has a plan.
Fireheart is confident in her.
Sandstorm becomes Sandstar and gains lives from Lionheart, Redtail, Rosetail, Runningwind, Brindleface, Sunstar, Yellowfang, Spottedleaf, and Bluestar.
Immediately after, now a leader, she states loudly that Fireheart is her mate and she's going to get rid of the rule that they're not allowed to be together because of his role in the Clan
Fireheart is a lot less confident
Surprisingly, however, a lot of the cats are on Sandstar's side. Especially Yellowfang. They agree to talk this over and remind Sandstar that 'leader's word is law'.
After they wake up, Sandstar's very proud of how that turned out while Fireheart's still in shock. She asks him to be her mate, officially this time. He agrees.
They spend the night at Ravenpaw and Barley's and Sandstar and Fireheart have the same horrible dream. When they wake up they make quick goodbyes and hurry back to camp.
The first thing Sandstorm does when she arrives at camp is make some announcements; She names Longtail as her deputy, she announces that ThunderClan will allow medicine cats to take mates - and implies she and Fireheart are together - and tells ThunderClan that they need to prepare for whatever Tigerstar does next.
ThunderClan is a bit mixed about that second message, but they're pretty okay with everything else.
Fireheart expresses to Cinderstorm his concerns about her apprentoce and the warrior counters him, saying that Bramblepaw is a proud young warrior.
He apologizes.
Sorrelkit almost dies and Fireheart saves her. Darkstripe is cornered and forced to admit his crimes before being immediately exiled. Fernpaw's new mentor is Longtail and Longtail does not defend Darkstripe or his actions
There is worries about rogues in the territory and that night Fireheart wanders as a spirit and discovers BloodClan for the first time
He is shaken awake by his own shock
While visiting Graystripe, Fireheart learns more about what's going on in RiverClan and there's genuine worry about the safety of him and Silverstream. Silverstream has fully recovered and has been trying to reason with Leopardstar.
Fireheart brings this news to Sandstar and Sandstar's ready to start a fight with Tigerstar
Tigerstar fails to bring ThunderClan and WindClan into TigerClan and Sandstar goes off on him and Leopardstar She even calls Leopardstar a coward for allowing this tom anywhere near her Clan
Sandstar goes off on her own for a bit to clear her head and Fireheart takes this moment to check on the apprentices and see how they're doing
They could be doing better, especially Tawnypaw and Bramblepaw
Sandstar comes back and vaguely mentions a vision but doesn't go into details.
Ravenpaw had been on his way to pay his respects and check on his old Clanmates when he had stumbled across Silverstream who begged for help in RiverClan
Fireheart, Sandstar, Ravenpaw, and Silverstream go to RiverClan to see what's up
Mistyfoot, Stonefur, Featherpaw, and Stormpaw are in danger. Graystripe is also in danger, but is being held apart from them. Stonefur almost dies when Graystripe breaks out of his containment and helps Stonefur fight Darkstripe and then Blackfoot.
While this fight is going on, the guard for the other prisoners is distracted and the three other halfClan cats are rescued
Sandstar is about to have them go back for Graystripe and Stonefur when they realize that Graystripe is down and Stonefur is about to die next
Leopardstar is unable to watch this anymore and asks for the chance to talk to her deputy
Tigerstar is skeptical but allows this
Leopardstar proceeds to let Stonefur run away [reason being that she was still heavily bothered by Sandstar's words and the drawn out death was getting to her]
Stonefur is badly injured, but the ThunderClan rescue patrol manages to help him
Silverstream is distraught over the loss of her mate and the apprentices are shocked to hear their father is dead
They also learn, after returning, that Tawnypaw ran off while they were gone and no one knows where she is
Ravenpaw tries to help them find her, but parts ways when they can't, promising to keep an eye out for her.
While they're trying to help the RiverClan cats settle - Mudclaw arrives with the news that ShadowClan specifically has attacked WindClan
Fireheart stays behind, but sends Sandstar and her cats off with herbs for those wounded
After a moment, Longtail is sent back to grab Fireheart to help the wounded WindClan warriors. Fireheart follows and is horrified at the sight of what happened to WindClan.
Sandstar decides to confront Tigerstar once and for all next chance she gets and spends the night with Fireheart to soothe her mind
At the meeting, Tallstar and Sandstar both formally reject Tigerstar's offer once again, Tawnypaw's location in ShadowClan is revealed, Bramblepaw stays firmly right next to Cinderstorm - who is a good mentor to him, and BloodClan arrives.
Fireheart reveals to Sandstar he had seen these cats before when he had been looking for the rogues that had been a problem
Scourge, the leader of BloodClan, publicly and horrifically murders Tigerstar, is hostile to the Clans, and gives the Clan a short amount of time to decide if they're going to live or die
Barely able to comprehend what just happened, ThunderClan prepares for what's about to come and Sandstar begs Fireheart to not do anything rash and stupid
He tries his best to promise, but he himself knows that that's a big promise to need to keep
Ravenpaw and Barley join to help the fight
Fireheart and Cloudtail also go to warn Princess about BloodClan to make sure she's safe
Sandstar has another dream and brings Fireheart, Longtail, and the sheltered RiverClan cats along to try to be diplomatic with RiverClan and ShadowClan
They are brought to Fourtrees and the lot of them talk it out. Sandstar, though through some rather 'tough love' means, manages to spark inspiration in Leopardstar and Blackfoot. Leopardstar also formally apologizes to Mistyfoot, Silverstream, Stonefur, Featherpaw, and Stormpaw.
Most of them accept the apology and Leopardstar is understanding about it
She also takes a brief moment to thank Sandstar, but keeps it short and simple and follows it up with RiverClan agreeing to help
Blackfoot isn't here for that mushy stuff and just agrees
Also they learn why Tawnypaw left. She decides to stay in ShadowClan.
Speckletail and current queens are left in charge of camp, as well as Swiftstrike, who wants to tear apart any cat who gets past the Clans' defenses
They go and the battle against BloodClan begins
Whitestorm is still killed by Bone, the apprentices kill Bone, Longtail is almost killed but is saved by Fireheart [and then scolded by the deputy], and while Fireheart retreats to a safe distance, he is almost killed by Scourge
The small cat is about to absolutely obliterate him when Sandstar saves his life and throws Scourge off of him
He watches as Scourge turns and Sandstar loses her first life
Shocked, he runs at Scourge and fights the tom. Sandstar comes back to life as Fireheart kills the BloodClan leader.
BloodClan is chased from the forest
Some other deaths to note; Thornclaw is killed in the battle and Mistyfoot dies of infected wounds days after
And that ends TPB
For some after notes;
Squirrelflight and Leafpool are probably born a sooner than they were in canon and Leaf gets mentored by her father.
Bramblepaw gets the warrior name Brambleflower, more in honor of his mother than ever thinking about his father. Brambleflower likes this. Tawnypaw still becomes Tawnypelt.
Snowpaw becomes Snowtail, Ashpaw becomes Ashfur, and Fernpaw becomes Ferncloud.
Sorrelkit, Rainkit, and Sootkit become Sorreltail, Rainwhisker, and Sootfur
The other Clans are skeptical about the fact that ThunderClan's leader is openly with their medicine cat, but there's only snide remarks at gatherings and no proper confrontation
Snowtail and Ferncloud get together and Ferncloud helps cats learn kitty sign language and helps translate things for her mate
Brightsong and Cloudtail still get together
Swiftstrike and Dustpelt get together and can butt heads on certain issues, but still love each other
Sorreltail and Brackenheart still get together
Cinderstorm gets with the kittypet, Cody, who joins ThunderClan and the two are a happy couple. Cody is a permaqueen and that's an okay and valid thing to do.
This is about as much as I got-
Also Fireheart s 100% aware of his daughter's relationship to Crowfeather and is okay with it as long as he makes her happy

AU set to "SIX" from the Six musical where Appledusk had mates in all the clans because that is just how shitty he is- Extra song link sksksksks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTvRNwslYxA
He had Reedshine in Riverclan, Mapleshade in Thunderclan, three in Windclan because Windclan's territory is so large that it was easy to avoid being seen by anyone, and one in Shadowclan.
Mapleshade was pregnant this time when she is exiled from Thunderclan. She panics trying to think of where to go, and she can feel that Frecklewish and a patrol are following her to make sure she leaves. Desperate and thinking Appledusk is faithful, she starts to cross the river. There was no wave when she first crossed, but the storm was so bad that even trees were being tipped in the wind. One with loose roots fell a little ways from her and caused a wave that almost drowns her before she is saved by two Riverclan toms. Appledusk is not on the patrol. Mapleshade has a permanent scar from the rocks, on the side of her head. Luckily, she got away without any physical brain damage.
Reedshine was horrified to find out about his cheating and asked if Thunderclan is where he's constantly sneaking off to. This is where he pathetically admits and apologizes, that he has multiple mates. He claims that when Reedshine was found to be pregnant, he began meeting with Mapleshade. He got annoyed with her because she was quite emotional, Thunderclan had just lost Birchface, Flowerpaw, and their old medicine cat, all of which Mapleshade was very close to considering she had no living biological family. -- He never told her that he was the one to kill Birchface, and Thunderclan thought it was best for her at that point to not find out when they returned from the battle without them, so she never knew until now.
Darkstar is disgusted and demands that he tell Maple and Reed the names of these other cats. So he does.
Darkstar and Reedshine were always close friends, Reedshine having always wanted kits and helped take care of Perchkit when Darkstar had him. The leader offers Mapleshade a place in Riverclan, even if she only wants it until she's healed, and then decides to leave to live a calmer life, and offers to exile Appledusk if Reedshine wishes it.
Reedshine says no as Mapleshade shyly turns down the kind offer, and steps closer to the Thunderclan queen, resting a paw gently on her freezing shoulder.
"I love my clan, and I love my Clanmates and you, Darkstar.. but Appledusk can stay if you would want him to." She glances down at Mapleshade and gives an encouraging smile. "We're leaving. Both of us, together. Where we can raise our kits together and give them a life free of battles and fear."
Mapleshade agrees, suddenly feeling a little less freezing at Reedshine's presence.
They stay there until morning, Mapleshade feels warmer and Reedshine and her say goodbye to everyone before they leave. Reedshine is told by her Clanmates that they'll miss her, and they wish both of them good luck. Darkstar escorts them to the border. "I suppose I won't see you again, so I'll congratulate you on your kits now. I know both of you will make fine mothers."
They're crossing through Fourtrees when Reedshine, ever optimistic, gets an idea. They'll visit all the clans, find out who these other cats are, and ask if they'd like to join them! She tells a rather cautious Mapleshade that if these other cats get found out, then their leaders may exile them anyway, and they couldn't let that happen when it's all Appledusk's fault!
They visit Shadowclan first, as Windclan is where they can leave clan territory to find their own far away.
At first, Shadowclan is hostile, but they calm down when both of them swear they mean no harm and see that they're both expecting kits. They explain when the leader calls the clan together, and Appledusk's shadowclan mate is shocked. Shadowclan's leader reprimands her for having a halfclan relationship, and when other cats also begin calling her a traitor, she agrees to leave with them.
The trio heads to Windclan, where they do the same thing, saying they mean no harm and explain what happened with Appledusk. The three she-cats he had been seeing are shocked that he would do such a thing, saying that he had told them he'd loved them and that he would do anything for them. The two she-cats talk it over for a while and decide that they will leave with the other three.
The group travels, bonding into one little family on their journey and looking out for each other, each using their clan ability to find them all food and help each other out until they find a place to call home, an open windclan-like field with flowers and a river and a small wooded shady area, the smell of rabbits and prey is strong in the air and hostile cats are nowhere to be found. The group decides it's perfect.
One of the Windclan trio has knowledge as a medicine cat, as they find out on the journey when she tells them a story of when she spent moons in the medicine den helping out because of an accident where she almost died from a wound in battle.
Soon enough, Reedshine and Mapleshade have their kits, and the litters grow up seeing each other as siblings, with all of the others being just as motherly toward them as queens helping each other in the clans.
After settling in, they talk about Appledusk, and now they tell the story for laughs, finding it hilarious that the tom screwed up so badly and knew it the entire time, but ended up making all of them so happy in their little group together when he pushed too far with his secret.
dont got a lot to add on, this does seem neat
i was also thinking near the end in an AU like this it be a little fun having maple and reed becoming the start of The Sisters

🔥 for Wen Qing?
in hindsight I don't actually know what's 'unpopular' in the cql fandom because it's so massive and I block anyone I don't like but here's something I feel really strongly about today - there was no 'straightbaiting' between wq and jc. the show never expected you to like them together or think they'd make a good couple. not even getting into the myriad of issues jc has with romance and women and being married out of obligation and not wanting to be like his parents, like, it's not even that important, in the end? he had a slightly pathetic little crush that illustrated how bad he is with women and how uncomfortable and awkward his courting is, which ended when the politics became too complicated, and that is IT. he does not think about her at all after her death (not the way he uses yanli and his parent's deaths to make wwx feels bad about both being alive and for also grieving them) nor des he appear to regret any of the actions he failed to take that might have helped her.
whether you think wq is a lesbian or not (I do), it's irrelevant because she DOES NOT LIKE HIM ANYWAY. she's polite to him because she has more important things on her plate, she tolerates him because she's friends with his brother, she helps him because her clan is the one that destroyed his, but she clearly does not enjoy any time spent with him
despite both being leaders of their own little clans/communities and trying to survive the end of the sunshot campaign, their principles and worldviews are entirely at odds, and while jc did offer her safety in the form of a marriage, she clearly did not even consider it because she would be abandoning the brother she loves and the people she has a responsibility to. they were not 'star-crossed lovers,' this was an insecure man who did not know this woman or care about her values, and a brilliant, focused, compassionate woman who did not like him in any way, who refused the meager help he offered to her, but who probably felt bad for him at some point
also wq and wwx were SO much closer than jc and wq ever were why am I seeing that stupid as fuck dynamic of jc and wq being like "oho wwx is such an idiot but he's our idiot" like first of all that just doesn't ring true to either iterations of the source material and reeks of fans plastering their own fun little cookie-cutter ship dynamics over a couple they have constructed in their head and second of all, wwx and wq are so much more similar and understand each other so much better than jc and wq did, and even I'd argue more than jc and wwx did. wq and wwx are friends!! they get each other!
I don't have anything unpopular about her on her own unfortunately. she doesn't have a ton of deeper characterization and while it's jarring to see portrayals of her as super mean, that's just based off a different version of the story. but it's not the wen qing I know.

Okay, so, it's obviously not going to get much focus next season, but I've been wondered what interactions between Emori and Bellamy might look like (mainly because I can't make up my mind about HOW they'd go), and I'm hoping we might see some. Any thoughts?
I have so many thoughts about Emori and Bellamy’s relationship, but I also think you’re right that the show won’t actually devote much time to developing it on screen, if we even really see them interact outside of the group at all. BUT I do think that even if the show canon won’t explore it, it’s a really interesting relationship to consider.
Emori and Bellamy are really the only two characters in this series that are confirmed to have a sibling - and which have a significant relationship with that sibling that shapes them as a character. For both of them, that relationship is one of the most important in their lives. For Emori, before Murphy, the ONLY relationship she had in her life was with her brother, and she was willing to put herself in danger to go after him. For Bellamy, his entire life has been wrapped around Octavia and her safety (in, admittedly, a very unhealthy way) and that relationship is a huge factor in his own identity.
And for both of them, those relationships are now gone. They’ve both lost that sibling, even if Bellamy is only temporarily separated from Octavia.
I imagine both of them are grieving when they first get there. Emori likely hasn’t had the chance to really mourn her brother and Bellamy is not only mourning the temporary and recent separation with his sister, but also is struggling with the fact that the thing that has defined his identity and who he is as a person and what choices he makes since he was EIGHT is no longer a factor.
And no one up there - aside from possibly Monty, who had that close of relationship with Jasper - is going to understand exactly what they’re going through. The others have lost people, but not a sibling who has been with you since you were a child, and though I think Murphy will help Emori a lot, there’s still a hole.
But what’s even more interesting to me is that not only would they understand each other’s loss, they are both very similar to the sibling the other one has lost. Octavia and Emori were both deemed worthless and unwanted by their society, forced to hide themselves away for their own safety - if anyone up there aside from Murphy is going to understand her life, it’s going to be Bellamy, because his sister had to hide under the floor for the very same reason. I think Bellamy will understand the choices Emori has been forced to make to survive.
And Bellamy would do anything to protect his sister, even if society said she shouldn’t even be alive - which has to be similar to Otan, because Otan and Emori were all each other had and looked out for each other.
So not only would they be intimately familiar with each other’s loss, I think they would look at the other and see something of the sibling they lost in them - and I think that would lead to a very close and understanding relationship - I can very much imagine them filling the gabs that Otan and Octavia’s absence have left. (I can even see Bellamy sort of latching onto Emori, because he has a tendency to be very protective and clingy with anyone who reminds him of Octavia - ESPECIALLY when his actual relationship with Octavia is in a bad place - Charlotte debacle, anyone?)
As for what their actual dynamic would be - both Emori and Bellamy are fairly untrusting and wary people, but they’re also both very protective once they align themselves with you. I think that trust might be slow between them, but once it’s there they’ll be incredibly protective of each other.
I think Emori could come to really respect Bellamy’s judgement as a leader. Frankly, I’m not sure she knows the extent of how Bellamy treated/betrayed Murphy (based on how she acts around him) and I’m not sure if Murphy would bring it up when they all have to live together.
So I think Emori’s view of Bellamy is basically as a clan leader (in her understanding, since it would have been obvious that Clarke and Bellamy were looked to as the leaders of that group) who didn’t turn her away because of her hand and allowed her a spot on the rocket. Like I’ve said before, proving that you believe Emori’s life has worth and is worthy of saving goes a LONG WAY in getting her to bond with you.
And Bellamy’s a smart leader when he’s not overly emotional, which I think Emori would respect, since she’s such a rational person.
I can also see Bellamy trusting Emori when she argues with him. I like to imagine they reach a point where Emori will listen to what Bell says, but if she opposes his idea, he knows to stop and listen to her reasons. I’m not sure I really have any basis for this, but I can really see that dynamic developing - because Emori is also smart, she’s more rational than Bellamy usually is, and she’d be like the sibling he never had that didn’t argue with him just for the sake of arguing with him. (A less argumentative Octavia, if you will.)
So, basically, I think they’d come to bond over shared loss, be drawn to each other because they both sort of fill the hole of the other’s missing sibling, and come to be very close, respectful, and trusting of the other.
Not sure we’ll ever get to see that in canon, but it’s absolutely what I believe.
Thanks for the ask! Sorry for the massive long reply haha.

Thank you!!! Like I've said recently, things are getting crazy at work so I don't think I'll be able to keep up chapter/day, BUT I'm having surgery in 10 days amd will be out for a week so I will probably be able to work on it a lot then. This world IS incredibly vivid to me, and that makes banging out these descriptions a little easier than typical.
I guess I should kind of start a bit of a dictionary, although like the Inquisitor I'm sure you're starting to piece together the language bit by bit through context
Dei- male suffix
Da- female suffix
These aren't a hard rule though, it is more assigned to the role in society than the actual sex of the individual, because Bolen is referred to as "Maseerda". This is less to do with him presenting feminine or anything, and more to do with avoiding necessary confusion because otherwise both he and Drago would be called "Maseerdei"
Also in their language, generally pluralized forms are male, such as when Drago refers to the other "Seerdei", or Seersda referring to her "men" and the group as a whole are "Plainsmen".
Ma = prefix of respect referring to kinship
Sin = prefix of respect beyond kinship
So if we start to look at the "divine" family
Ma/Sin Seer Dei/Da
Is the highest respect title
Then you have
Seers Dei/Da
Who is alike their Maseerdei, but "in training" if you will, considered the heir or successor.
and also now we have a third member, who is also a highly respected individual in the community
Ma/Sin Ers Da
They are not necessarily part of the divine family (but can be), because they can be cousins or aunts, etc. But their role is so important and highly skilled that they are given the prefix anyways. These are your specialty cooks and healers.
Vella Dei/Da = someone who has been brought into the clan temporarily for the purpose of seeking a mate, but isn't yet betrothed. So somewhat akin to a boyfriend/girlfriend, with less exclusivity.
These groups court partners by having small bands of young people go out and find other singles to bring home.
Whoever brings them in gets "first dibs", so to speak, but if that doesn't work out, everyone else gets a chance to court them before they leave. That's why, in our story, the Seersda is responsible for making sure the Inquisitor has a place to stay that day. She brought him in, so she's responsible for taking care of him (even if she isn't bringing him in as a Vella).
Grounded = pregnant, as in, unable to fly a dactillion. The pressure/altitude changes are not good for pregnant people and also I imagine the vertigo just makes it an unpleasant experience. Not to mention, it's dangerous, and it takes them decades of trying to get pregnant, so they'd want to be cautious. Roles in society generally change a lot around this time, as it's expected an individual is going to be less mobile for an extended period of time.
Birth Marks = forehead tattoos, assigned at birth and passed from father to child. Each family has a unique set. Within clans, most closely related clan members are going to have slight variations from the original clan member's "divine" marks, making it generally easy to tell where an individual is from, even if they aren't part of the clan leader's family.
Clan Marks = chest tattoos of your clan leader's markings, if not in the clan leader's family. If you are born into a clan and NOT of the clan leader's family, you'll get the clan marks and your birth marks. If you, later in life, move to a different clan to marry, you'll get those clan marks in addition to your previous clan marks.
Unmarked = no birth marks/forehead tattoos, thus not a Plainsman
I think that's most everything!
I do find it interesting to write for a society where there are some patriarchal terms and traditions, yet we can see that the rules are flexible to the point that it doesn't come across as toxic or oppressive. Anyone is allowed to hold any role. Yes, the concept of fatherhood is important because of how the marks are passed, but the definition of "fatherhood" is flexible, it's a divine appointment, not just a physical act of conception. A man can hold a position ending in "da" or a woman can be a clan leader. Same sex marriage is accepted, even within a group with a struggling population, because of the acceptance of adoption as a viable means of parenthood.
And from a story standpoint, if our Seersda was starting to have some feelings about the Inquisitor BEFORE the incident with the dactillion, well... imagine how she feels NOW.

Summary:
It has been seventeen years since your rebirth on the plains of Utapau. An orphaned child with nowhere else to go, you were adopted by your clan leader Drago and his mate Bolen, who made you their own daughter through the unique tattooing rituals of the surface-dwelling Pau'an.
Now you lead a group of your kin to trade with a neighboring clan, when you come across a lone stranger riding across the grasslands. Nothing about him makes sense, least of all the marks he bears on his forehead in conflict with the symbols he carries on his shoulders.
You must guide him on his mission, while you ponder the secrets of his past that might just align with yours, and balance the survival of your small clan amongst two powerful opposing forces.

oh we’re talking about crookedblue? *trips and piles of notes fall out of my pockets detailing my crookedblue centric rewrite* i’m normal about them i promise
for me personally, i just like to throw silverstream in with the stone/moss/misty litter. i also love oakwillow, and i keep them as the adoptive parents of the crookedblue litter after they lose their kits willowkit and minnowkit
as much as i adoreeee crookedwillow, i just love the amount of plot fun i can have with crookedblue. also it’s so superior to oakblue in every way lol
however i think you should keep oakblue in your rewrite if you’re going to give them more screen time. i agree you should keep as much the same as possible, and making crookedblue a thing changes a lot. I know. I wrote it down. trust me lol
but yeah crookedblue is my beloved <333
Absolutely do not worry about sharing your piles of notes with me. When I write normally about topics I'm extremely normal about, I drop a thesis about Leopardstar, a dissertation about the TNP arcs of each of the Tigerkin Squad, and earn my doctorate in Nightheartology
There really is a lot more you can do with Crookedblue, because Crooked has a lot more going on in his life than Oakheart, you know? He's the one struggling with loyalty to his clan, losing everyone he loves, he becomes the leader...
I love Oakheart too (he's really useful as an optimistic, confident character, which both Crooked and Blue benefit from) but he's straightup good, you get me? He IS confident! He IS assertive. He only becomes deputy and his flaws aren't super apparent, especially not when he's bouncing off Blue and Crooked
You know, thinking about it, Crooked and Blue are a lot alike in personality... maybe that's a reason why they'd be so interesting together.
Anyway, anyway, in my rewrite, Oakheart will be getting a LOT more screentime. He also does have an important place in the group; he's self-assured, he's charming and funny. He's also a good diplomat, he's able to prevent it from falling apart when the cracks first start to show in the Forget-Me-Nots.
If I hypothetically did pick Crooked to be in the group, I would have to shuffle those traits off into others. Which wouldn't be a bad thing inherently-- just something to consider. I should really do a short guide to each one of the Forget-Me-Nots, that sounds like fun
I'm still leaning towards keeping Oakheart as the father of Blue's kittens, but this has all been very insightful
