me: i could totally be a hunter in the leftist queer commune i’d be so great at it

me as a teenager: nearly threw up catching one fish and releasing it

#in my defense i might have been a little seasick #the waters were super rough and half the passengers on board were hurling #also i didn’t want to be there i wanted to be hanging out on the beach #if i didn’t have weird dietary issues i��d probably be a vegetarian #i just don’t like killing not even bugs #but it’s a necessity to live yadda yadda i know #death just freaks me out i would have to be a farmer or some other worker in the commune i guess #but i’m a pretty good shot so maybe i could get over it #unrelated but i want a crossbow #one for going to an archery range #but two i think it would throw home invaders off their game more than a gun would #and i don’t trust myself with a gun #other than a rifle #fun story we were catching kingfish on this ill fated fishing trip #those fucks looks like barracuda with their horrible teeth #and i got to watch one flop across the deck to bite a kid who’s now my weatherman do #*so #life is funny that way

Resident Evil Vendetta is a comedy, you can't change my mind

#I watched it for the first time the other night #And I loved it #it's kinda shit but in a glorious way #what is resident evil without your classic screaming-a-name-into-the-sky kinda villain #what is resident evil without some questionable animations of women in pain!!!!!!#what is resident evil without a perfectly timed grenade and/or rpg #what is resident evil without some morally questionable decisions :P #I can't explain it but the movie is SO camp #It's so full of fanservice I absolutely love it #Leon just blowing people up on the highway made me lose my MIND #no to mention the fact that when Arias fell. what like. 500 feet though the glass ceiling his body wasn't turned instantly into soup #holy shit AND THE stronger-than-9/11 rifle that knocked down THREE BUILDINGS consecutively #I'm trying to insert rationale and logic into the RE verse like ....... cmon girl be so fr #the movie is SO hilarious it's amazing #what an absolute time I had #I like the animation a lot #they made Leon so pretty too but that's kinda expected #and we ALL love a bit of Chreon yes we do #can't wait to watch Death Island #Resident Evil #Resident Evil Vendetta #r posts

#Marvel #Marvel comics #Marvel 85th Anniversary Special #Moon Knight comics #latest release #Tsukikage #the quadruple wielding and welded Type 99 Arisaka rifles were wild enough #but yeah…this sure is an intriguing example of taking a story and putting it in an entirely different context/writing from #a completely different perspective #because wow can’t believe I never considered Japanese Hydra?#particularly as the concept of Hydra has developed over time to represent more than the Third Reich but rather fascism #(or in this case rather statism) in all of its forms #then there’s the fascinating weaving in of iconic Moon Knight story points made distinctly unique #there’s the concept of many-in-one but oof VERY different #and instead of giving one’s life to a wrathful god it’s instead giving one’s life to a state that does not value human life #beyond what that life can contribute to the nation’s strength and prestige #all of which is just so wild to stumble upon in a comic unexpectedly #and I’m sure is going to stir up all KINDS of Discourse #it’s one thing if this was written by a non-Japanese individual but it’s a whole OTHER thing coming from a Japanese writer #but I’m here for a bit of discourse #this is definitely the kind of story to wrestle with and chew on (goodness knows it’s going to haunt me)

very interested in the type of training ada does to develop her fighting style

#speakerphone!#obvs shes working with knives. i would argue shes likely on krausers level if not above him.#there is a flip she does in 6 that makes me think shes got some strong gymnastics training #how she lifts her legs up in damnation tells me she has incredible core strength (evident in her body control when using the grapple gun)#the power in her kicks is on par with leons and its only increased when used in combinations w hookshot.#frankly so much of her fighting style tells me she should also be fucking huge. but alas she is a woman and capcom is not going to let women #be anything other than thin with curves.#i guess i can see that as a spy she doesnt want to be HUGE so she doesnt draw attention while on missions. but also? shes a character made #by people w real world biases including misogyny. so. that point is kinda moot.#you know who else i dont think is thin and curvy? jill. in my head shes got very broad shoulders and very muscular arms #(evidenced by her ability to hold the plasma rifle and gun) (and obvs theres no way she can hold it as a human. but if she could she'd have #huge arms and broad shoulders) and that is my truth‼️‼️‼️

Really happy someone in-game finally realized Minka is crazy.

I know I already posted a bunch of WIP stuff today, BUT. It's still Sunday (barely) so here's six sentences from yet another WIP that I started... yesterday. The file name for this one is The Power of Hugs.

“You know we don’t blame you, right?” Wrecker asks gently, because he knows he needed to hear that after—Bracca. Still doesn’t always believe it, or understand it, but it’s true for him about Crosshair, so. Crosshair mutters something into his shoulder, too low for Wrecker to really hear it, even though Crosshair is on his good side. It sounds a little like “I tried to kill you.” Wrecker keeps talking. Crosshair’s arms tighten, making Wrecker’s armor dig into his back uncomfortably.

#Six Sentence Sunday #WIP Excerpt #Star Wars: The Bad Batch #Wrecker #Crosshair #Fall of Kamino canon divergence #The Power of Hugs #Wrecker gives the best hugs and not even Crosshair is immune #especially not Crosshair tbh #you can't tell me season one wouldn't have ended very differently if someone had just hugged Crosshair #.... now I have another idea for a mini-fic fall of kamino fix-it #Hunter and Cross share a pod going up right? they have to get pretty close in it #and Cross must be kinda touch-starved and cold at this point #so what if he just... leans in a little closer than he has to #and Hunter notices of course and... pulls him into more of a hug than just standing really close #and during the trip up to the surface... they don't talk but they still settle things between them #they both realize the other does actually want them all to be back together and that they can/do still trust each other #so when Crosshair grabs his rifle later Hunter doesn't even flinch and he thanks Cross after #and the others might still point their blasters at Cross but Hunter tells them off #and Crosshair comes with them in the end and all is well

#another soph nothingunrealistic find & their highlighting akd's especial in character approach more so than other actors' responses #definite shoutout to albert's passion out here for shooting tf out of people. right on #supposing that scene of him seeming to help w/another character's shooting takes place in gettysburg #the premise / inspiration being that the writer learned that amongst like hundreds / over a thousand people regarded as women who were #enlisted in the civil war; there were these Five Known Ones who were in gettysburg. who naturally hadn't Only enlisted 5 min prior nor had #just so happened to all be in the same unit the whole time or anything....so although it seems like the characters will often be onstage at #the same time that's probably more so moments placed in parallel that; naturally; aren't literally in the same place or necessarily the #exact same absolute time....theatre #but since those two characters Do seem to actually be on a battlefield together & i'm sure that the gettysburg scenes are a prominent part #of the whole show....probably literally helping the other be a damn good soldier. get musketed #looked it up like did they use rifles by that point....apparently most common were. rifle-muskets. get rifled-musketed #i'll give this all the tags too:#asia kate dillon #good men wanted #albert cashier

Also like, trying to not make TLoU AU Kseniya just…wildly overpowered is fucking hard. Because yeah sure, chronic pain and looks visibly infected (meaning anyone with half a brain cell and a gun will shoot on sight) and blind; that all sucks…

…but she can fucking talk to cordyceps. She can talk to the Infected. Her and Pierce run across three Clickers? No problem, just let Kseniya casually walk up to them and make them go away. Because unlike Ellie the Infected read her as one of them, so not only will they not attack her but they’ll treat her like any other Infected. Cordyceps isn’t inherently evil or violent—it’s a fungus, it can’t have morality. It’s doing what every fungus wants to do: survive, propagate, and make more of itself. It just mutated into something that can use humans to do that, not because it hates humanity but just because that’s how it went.

So if Kseniya’s like “yeah no, not a viable host, sorry!” the Clickers will wander off and leave Pierce be.

That is UNBELIEVABLY overpowered in a TLoU context. 50% of the threat to their survival is just…gone! Poof!

#it’s an incredibly interesting inversion from tabula rasa #where kseniya is this unstoppable killing machine and yet utterly helpless in the face of her programming #and by extension hydra/department x #hence why she NEEDS pierce and NEEDS strike so badly in that world #this kseniya can barely use a rifle at the start and can just casually tell zombies to go look for food somewhere else #and she still NEEDS pierce because she does look visibly infected and without someone there to be like NO DON’T would ABSOLUTELY get shot #the second literally anyone came across her #but it’s a need that’s much less desperate than tabula rasa senya #tlou kseniya comes off more vulnerable in mannerisms but can probably fuck your shit up worse than tabula rasa kseniya #especially if i take this to the logical tactical conclusion and have kseniya not only say go away but also go attack those hunters #this can turn into a unstoppable force of post-apocalyptic nature VERY FAST if i let her become that #and that’s without factoring in the side benefits like being able to use the underground fungal network to compensate for her blindness #and know when people are coming because they stepped on some cordyceps #i know the theme of most apocalyptic stories is #humans are the real monsters and shit #but MAN are other people the literal only problem these two have in this context #guess we’re leaning REAL HARD into this theme #tag meta #tabula rasa tlou au #tlou au kseniya

kinda mad that I bought myself something as a treat, hid it, and it’s been removed from the hiding spot twice and half used (without asking) and on top of that stuff was left in it

#I stopped doing this for two reasons one it's not good for me (hence treat) and the other was EXACTLY THIS #like I put it in a spot she couldn't reach without rifling through everything since it's above her head and the things in the way #would prevent her reaching it without moving them #like fuck's sake #I might've even been ok had she asked! but no!#it's her house therefore anything's ok for her to take #if I confront her about it she'll call me a pig (even though I eat 'better' than her because I eat more because I'm a foot taller and #a quarter of her age she loves calling me a pig for eating at all) and then say 'well my money paid for it'#even though she didn't I DID #the combination of her not asking her leaving crud in it and that I bought it for myself is just. grrrr #like I'll legitimately just eat a salad with a bit of meat (which I have been told to do by a dietician) and get called a pig #for eating 'all that'. it was literally a preportioned size from the supermarket plus a little extra on instruction. hate her for it #like congrats you've caused eating disorders in like four members of your own family!#maybe I'm just upset because I'm sick and she's going at me for selfish reasons
