#Mad Max#Fury Road#MMFR#I have a DISTINCT memory of Jack talking to this same friend about MMFR 8 years ago#bc his take on it was so ridiculous that we have quoted it basically non stop ever since#Jack told him 'we saw the new Mad Max movie. it's awesome you should definitely go see it!'#to which this friend said 'isn't it just about some girl?'#we have quoted that ever since#'oh Fury Road? isn't that just about sOmE gIrL???'#never where he could hear us obviously#(he lives on the other side of the country)#meanwhile I made my first Vuvalini cosplay for DragonCon 2015#we went to Wasteland Weekend in 2016 2017 2018 and 2019#camped in themed camps every single time#official placement in the theme zone starting in 2017#in 2019 I HELPED RUN A FUCKING VUVALINI THEMED NEIGHBORHOOD WITH 100 PEOPLE SPREAD ACROSS DOZENS OF THEMED CAMPS#AND LIVED IN THE MOJAVE IN FULL FUCKING VUVALINI KIT WITH NO ELECTRICITY OR RUNNING WATER FOR MORE THAN SEVEN FUCKING DAYS#we sent this friend PICTURES of the rifle crates we hand-made for our 100% themed camp#but hey at least he's finally getting around to actually watching that movie about some girl#maybe he'll even like it lol#tagtalking#this is my real life#sir.
