A Few Charlie and Emma Headcanons:

before this list gets started, I just want to say that a couple of these headcanons include Ryan O’Donnell, one of @unfortunate-arrow’s mcs! (mostly because I love Ryan and Emma’s friendship so much already)

Charlie likes making Emma “mad” because her Scottish accent is more pronounced and he thinks it’s the cutest thing.

Emma always gets caught staring at Charlie with that dreamy look in her eye, whether it be by Rowan Khanna, Bill Weasley, or Ryan O’Donnell (belongs to @unfortunate-arrow ). Ryan always catches Emma staring at Charlie during Quidditch practices or games, and he makes it obvious that he knows about her crush.

Neither of them are subtle with their flirting. Actually, it’s a little awkward because they’re both so fidgety and nervous around each other.

For Emma, admitting her feelings to Charlie was the most difficult thing she had to do. Nothing in the Vaults compared to the nerve-wracking feelings she had. If it wasn’t for Ryan giving her a pep-talk, she never would’ve told Charlie.

When Emma adopts her first dragon, a Chinese Fireball, Charlie is the first to know and he immediately wants to go see it and take notes on it.

For their first date, (it requires a bit of sneaking out of the Gryffindor Tower, but Hagrid did help with making sure they weren’t caught), Charlie took Emma to a spot at the lake in the Creature Reserve where he saw a Norwegian Ridgeback, and proceeds to tell her all about it. While they weren’t lucky enough to see the dragon again, they spend most of the night talking about dragons, which ones are their favorites, and how stupid they both were for not admitting their feelings sooner.

Their first kiss is interrupted by Bill, much to Charlie’s annoyance. “Dammit Bill, do you ever knock?” “What do you mean? This is the Common Room, you git.”

I really wish this would’ve turned out better and that the sizing would’ve cooperated better with this because it was a bitch to try and get it to size right and it still wouldn’t.

It’s so hard for me to not be biased with Emma and Charlie because I really think they’re just the cutest lol

Okay so the official rankings are:

1.) Conor and Ruth (they’re both so soft and sweet, and I love a ship with two people that are just the sweetest beings on the planet)

2.) Sara and Barnaby (cuteness overload and I frickin’ love it, also they’re perfect together)

3.) Charlie and Emma (I feel like 3rd is a good place to put two dragon loving nerds who are so in love with each other, they may even love each other more than they love dragons)

4.) Ryan and Penny (I haven’t really looked into them as much as Sara and Barnaby or Conor and Ruth, but I do like their dynamic very much, a sweet and hesitant Penny alongside a bold and brash Ryan, it’s a pair that kinda takes the other out of their comfort zone a little)

5.) Cara and Rowan (while I haven’t looked too much into them yet, I know that I love Cara having this whole feminist rebel dynamic and Rowan canonically being a huge bookworm who’s more silent and observant)

What about some friendship headcanons for Milo Weasley and Jem O’Donnell-Lee?

I’d love to flesh out their friendship more if you’re up for it!

On the quidditch pitch, they’re rivals. Off the pitch, they’re about as close as two friends could be.

They’re both pretty adventurous, so they’re always out exploring the forbidden forest when they know they aren’t supposed to.

They’d probably get into trouble a lot, but sometimes McGonagall just lets them slide since she knows they’re both so much like their parents.

Out of their entire friend group, they’re the two most likely to step up and protect everyone.

Despite being in rival houses, neither of them use it as any kind of fuel for hate or a reason to dislike the other.

They argue over who has the most embarrassing parents.

When Milo gets his first Howler in Third Year from Emma, he nearly falls off of the bench from being startled, and Jem is laughing at him.

Milo’s always forgetting his notes for potions and transfiguration, so he has to borrow Jem’s.

Emma and Sara’s friendship, please!

Emma ends up being very protective over Sara since she is the more soft-spoken one of the quads.

Emma trusts Sara more than most people with a secret, as she often finds it very easy to talk about her feelings with Sara.

Emma swears Sara gives the best advice.

Just like with Cara, Emma teaches Sara Scottish Gaelic.

Sara is the one to talk Emma down whenever she gets angry, helping her to rationalize her emotions and turn them into positive feelings.

After her breakup with Talbott, Emma goes to Sara before anyone else, knowing that she can rely on Sara to be a confidant and shoulder to cry on. And that Sara would definitely accio some ice cream to them, instantly bettering her mood.

Emma thinks that Sara and Barnaby are cute as heck, and would probably fight someone who thought otherwise.

Summary:

Emma and Ryan’s friendship is sometimes, in a way, kind of like a siblingship. They’re very competitive with each other, especially on the quidditch pitch, and very defensive of each other when the need calls for it.

Chaos in the Gryffindor common room? Emma and Ryan definitely caused it. How? They started a debate about whether a yeti or a troll would win in a battle and now everyone’s placing bets on it.

On the Pitch, they both work very well together as Chasers, often finding the best times to successfully pass the quaffle to each other and score points.

They have Transfigurations and Flying class together.

Sometimes they’ll ask each other for help studying for exams.

They’ll both call each other ‘weirdo’ as sort of a nickname.

They’ve definitely tried to figure out who out of the Gryffindor House would win in fist fights. They joke that Bill would definitely get his ass kicked in a fight, though Bill disagrees with that.

They’re always the ones who organize Gryffindor quidditch friendlies.

How do you think Emma and Vixens relationship panned out when Charlie and Vixen were together I think (might be wrong) that you said Emma was crushing in him for awhile so do you think that would affect their friendship at all?

Well Emma always had a crush on Charlie since early/mid fourth year, despite briefly dating Talbott. She began officially dating Charlie in early 5th Year, though before then during the end of 4th Year, they went on a lot of “dates”, and that’s when they both started to like each other more.

I don’t think it would affect Emma and Vixen’s friendship too much, since neither of them really seem like they’d be the type to get mad at each other over a boy, they’re both strong independent females who never need a man. So, honestly I think they’d be understanding with each other and supportive.

And the only people who can really tell that Emma has a crush on Charlie are Ryan O’Donnell ( @unfortunate-arrow’s mc) and Bill, so other than that it’s not really obvious to anyone else.

The quads could be friends with Emma. After all, Ryan is in Gryffindor with Emma. (He also plays on the quidditch team with Charlie.)

Emma definitely needs a good little bunch of Gryffindor friends, but she’d be happy to be friends with all of the quads!

Emma plays quidditch as well, a Chaser for Gryffindor, so I could see her and Ryan being pretty good teammates on the pitch.

Could also totally see Ryan knowing about Emma’s huge, though “secret” crush on Charlie without Emma even telling him

Emma and Cara: Emma is more likely to steal fries but Cara’s able to swipe them from Emma’s plate without being noticed.

Emma and Sara: They both do, but neither of them really mind it. They just kinda stare at each other for a minute and laugh about it.

Emma and Conor: Emma tries to be sneaky, but Conor always catches her. Conor knows he can take fries from Emma’s plate and she won’t mind it.

who jokingly moves in for the kiss when someone asks if they’re a couple?

Emma and Cara: Cara. Emma gets embarrassed and giggles about it, causing Cara to start laughing. The person who asked is just as confused about it as anyone else is.

Emma and Sara: Emma. Sara’s too shy, but when Emma jokingly goes for it, she’s giggling about it and trying not to fall off of the bench.

Emma and Conor: Emma. Like Sara, Conor is a little too shy to just so brazenly do such a thing. Though, one time he did surprise Emma by being the one to try it. They both laugh about it, and make jokes about it later on.

who has to bust or bail the other out of jail?

Emma and Cara: More than likely, they ended up in jail together. They either have to call Sara, Conor, or maybe Ryan to come bail them out. Ryan ends up thinking it’s the funniest thing ever though.

Emma and Sara: Sara would most likely have to bail Emma out because Sara’s a sweet little cinnamon roll who can do no wrong. She definitely tells Charlie about it though and they have a good little laugh, and Emma’s embarrassed by it.

Emma and Conor: While it’s not very likely that either of them would end up in jail (thanks to Emma’s boldness and Conor’s intelligence), it’s more likely that Conor would have to bail Emma out.

who gives the other advice/comfort about dating issues?

Emma and Cara: They both give each other advice. Neither of them are super emotional, but they understand each other with ease. Like Ryan, Cara helped Emma build up the courage to tell Charlie she liked him.

Emma and Sara: Sara. Emma’s not as good with emotions as Sara is, and Sara’s always there to help. When Emma needed help with her feelings for Charlie after the breakup with Talbott, Sara was there for her the entire time.

Emma and Conor: Emma usually gives Conor the advice, as he’s not as open with his emotions with other people, but he opens up to Emma. After some time, Emma helps Conor realize that he really likes Ruth.

who shamelessly cheats at games by reaching over to cover the other’s eyes?

Emma and Cara: They’ll both snatch each other’s controllers, or if it’s a board or card game, they’ll make sure the other can’t draw a card or roll the dice.

Emma and Sara: Emma usually does, and can go unnoticed with it. Sometimes Sara will, and Emma won’t say a word if they’re playing with friends.

Emma and Conor: Emma tries, but Conor usually catches her. Sometimes Conor will be caught off guard though and she can get by with it.

who immediately calls dibs on the top bunk?

Emma and Cara: They both just race each other to it and sometimes they playfully try to shove each other off of the ladder.

Emma and Sara: Emma will usually let Sara have it, unless Sara feels like racing to it or arguing over it.

Emma and Conor: They argue over it for thirty to forty minutes and since both of them are too stubborn to back down, they both end up sleeping on the floor.

who starts and who wins the pillow fights?

Emma and Cara: It’s pretty even for who starts it and who wins it, and they don’t really keep track of it.

Emma and Sara: Sara usually starts them, surprisingly, but Emma usually wins them because Sara can’t stop laughing when she gets hit.

Emma and Conor: They both start it, but Conor has won a couple more than Emma has. They have a good laugh about it, and argue over who really won.

who says “your pants would look better on their floor” to the other’s potential crush?

Emma and Cara: Cara definitely says it to Charlie, and Emma is absolutely mortified by it.

Emma and Sara: Emma says it to Barnaby, and Sara’s a blushing, giggly mess about it.

Emma and Conor: Emma says it to Ruth first, and Conor tries to laugh it off and play it cool. Conor gets Emma back though by saying it at lunch to Charlie, and Emma nearly spits out her pumpkin juice.

At first, Emma doesn’t understand how Cara can be in Slytherin, as she’s the exact opposite of the stereotypical Slytherin. But then, she sees it. Cara’s ambition to be an artist. And then, Emma finally understand that Cara’s ambition is the reason she’s in Slytherin.

Emma loves Cara’s artwork, even if she doesn’t get to see much of it. (I can totally agree with your headcanon that Emma eventually commissions Cara for a family portrait!)

While they may be rivals on the quidditch pitch, they’re very close outside of quidditch.

Emma ends up trying to teach Cara Scottish Gaelic (which eventually Ryan would get jealous about, since Emma was his friend first but he only does it for typical sibling banter).

They always go out for butterbeer together, and sometimes end up making a day of it by going to Zonko’s, Honeydukes, and Maestro’s Music Shop.

Ryan totally gets jealous and thinks that Cara is “stealing” Emma from him, but it’s once again just the sibling banter. Emma jokes by saying she likes Cara more.

They bond over a mutual pride of their heritage.

They both share a strong sense of feminism, and can both be a bit feisty whenever someone says “a girl can’t do that!”

Not long after Emma tells Ryan, she tells Cara about her crush on Charlie.

Emma and Conor’s friendship to round it all out, as well, please?

Of course! Thank you for asking!

Emma knows that Conor is insecure about his stutter, and she makes sure to reassure him that it’s okay because it’s what makes him who he is.

Conor knows that Emma doesn’t really like her middle name that much, but he finds it out before everyone else in their friend group does just by a sheer lucky guess.

Emma helps Conor come out of his comfort zone a little bit, encouraging him to take a few more risks.

Emma will 100% fight anyone who makes fun of Conor’s stutter. She can tolerate a lot of things, but the senseless bullying of her friends is not one of those things.

If Conor needs to just senselessly ramble on and have someone just listen to him, he knows he can always go to Emma.

When Emma isn’t studying with Ryan, her and Conor will organize a small study group in the courtyard.

While Conor isn’t much of a hugger, in the rare moments that Conor needs a hug, Emma will be the one to give him the biggest, most comforting hug she can possibly give.

Thank you for asking!☺️ while we haven’t really developed much on Emma’s friendship with the Quads, I’ll still have a crack at it!

Maybe we could use these as like a base idea for their friendship if you’re up for it!

1. Emma first became friends with Ryan, due to them both being sorted into Gryffindor and playing on the Gryffindor Quidditch Team as Chasers.

2. Emma’s friendship with Ryan led to her becoming friends with Cara, Sara, and Conor. It was inevitable.

3. Emma gets along the best with Ryan and Cara, though she has no qualms with any of the Quads.

4. Emma and Ryan are very competitive with each other on the Pitch, often seeing who can outshine the other whether it’s a practice or actual game.

5. Emma, though she doesn’t get to see much of it, loves Cara’s artwork.

6. Sara and Emma will sometimes argue over who’s the cuter couple between Sara and Barnaby or Emma and Charlie (Emma always, with 100% unwavering confidence, says it’s Sara and Barnaby because they’re perfect together).

7. Emma admires how Sara is such a soft, sweet soul yet she’s so perseverant.

8. While Conor is the quietest of the Quads, Emma thinks he’s definitely the most determined and passionate about his studies and work.

9. In the event that Conor needs to vent to someone, to just talk and have someone listen, Emma will always listen to him.

10. Ryan is the first to know about Emma’s crush on Charlie. On the Quidditch Pitch, he always notices Emma glancing over at Charlie and that dreamy, captivated look in her eyes. He makes it obvious to Emma that he knows by elbowing her arm or side and playfully threatening to tell Charlie.
