From my "Tales of the Lonely (Kinich&Ajaw fics)" series (Genshin Impact):

The Ultimate Fool-Proof Guide to Humans by K'uhul Ajaw -> Focuses on Ajaw and Kinich and the frenemy relationship they have going on, aroace Kinich and Mualani, pretty cool if i do say so myself, ~20k words.

O Scion, lonely Scion -> Focuses on Ajaw and Kinch (who would have guessed) except this time its about Kinich's death and how Ajaw handles it. (Spoiler alert, he does it poorly) Somewhere between angst and heavy angst, ~2.6k words. Nation of War -> Platonic soulmate AU, focuses on the Natlan quartet (Kinich, Ajaw, Mualani, Kachina), angst, this fic is my pride and joy right now ~96k words

(I recommend Nation of War- it's my favourite out of the three!)

From my "In Vertumna And Time" series (Exocolonist):

Prince Charming -> Focuses on the Tammy/Cal relationship but also has Cal/Sol in it, ~2k words

Spider Web of Guilt -> Focuses on Sol (it's also in second person), ~2k words

Don't Call It Abuse (i can't handle another tragedy) -> Focuses on Anemone/Vace, ~3k words

Love is hard to unlearn -> Focuses on the Tammy/Cal relationship but also has Tammy/Sol in it (companion piece to Prince Charming), ~3k words

Without All The Nuance -> Focuses on Sol's deterioration and has a little bit of everything in it, pretty angsty though, ~47k words

From my "Tales Of Empty Cups" series (Magnus Chase):

Cost of Living -> Mostly blitzstone, follows the plots of SoS and HoT, ~27k words

Tales From The Five And A Half (six if you round up) -> One shot collection with loosely connected plots (not in chronological order), connected to Cost of Living, ongoing, currently ~16k words

(Most of my Magnus Chase works are written in the summer- I'm fairly busy at any other time, and inspiration is usually sparked by my annual reread of it or a related series.)

Other works not in a series (Psych)

Two In A Million, Twice In A Lifetime -> Psych fandom, is a bit of a relationship/character study for Shawn and Abigail and follows them through different parts of their relationship up until S4 E16: Mr. Yin Presents, and a little bit after that, ~4.5k words.

I like the headcanon of forehead touches being important in zaun culture, more so than they usually would be.

Forehead to forehead may as well be saying I love you, it's usually kept for family or life partners (platonic or romantic)

Forehead to cheek is kinda like a cat nuzzling you, it's still used when people are rather close, but it's lighter. A quick bonk

Forehead to shoulder/back/neck can be a thing of comfort or sometimes just a quick "I'm glad you're here" and is more common among close friends than others

Forehead to hand (usually palm, but hand in general) is an "I trust you to take care of me" or "I want comfort" type thing.

Okay I have a hot take and a controversial opinion here; but I've seen a lot of people get upset over shipping Alastor with other characters due to the fact he's ace, and I totally get it- representation matters. But people shouldn't be getting mad over harmless shipping, especially when it ereases other asexual identities. Demisexuals exist. Asexuals who experience romantic attraction exist. Abrosexuals exist. We want representation too :')

I’m just gonna say this, the main reason people don’t like Damian Wayne as a character is the same reason people didn’t like Jason Todd back in the 80s

People don’t like either of them because their favorite Robin (Tim Drake and Dick Grayson) got replaced by them.

Damian and Jason are both really interesting and complex character, objectively more complex than both Tim and Dick, but some people (cough, obnoxious Tim fans, cough, and Dick fans who over sexualize him, cough) don’t see that and just want their little blorbos to never grow into their own character apart from Batman.

rereading a book you originally read as a young teenager when you're an adult is a really fun experience if only because i can now appreciate how insanely Sixteen Years Old katniss everdeen is. "yeah she talks to me at school and sits with me at lunch and she came to say goodbye to me and cried and gave me a pin that belonged to her dead aunt but idk if we're like FRIENDS or anything" KATNISS THAT GIRL LOVES YOU. JUSTICE FOR POOR MADGE SHE WAS TRYING SOOOO HARD.

i will never stop thinking about the fact that kris dreemurr, protagonist of one of the biggest and most influential indie games of all time, is openly and undeniably nonbinary/gnc. not nonbinary to be singled out, not nonbinary because they're non-human/non-living, not nonbinary to show that they lack personality... just nonbinary for the sake of being nonbinary. and they're the main protagonist!!! it's so cool

and the fact that they're treated the same as everyone else for it and it's not a huge deal to anyone. the fact that everyone in that game, no matter how opposed to them they are, never misgenders them. never finds it weird. never sees them as lesser than for it. kris is in fact seen by many as an important person to be respected; a hero

i knowwww people say this stuff all the time and it's such a small thing (kinda) but god it really does mean the entire world to have representation like this

has anyone gotten the idea that odysseus' storyline in hades 2 is a depiction/exploration of trauma over his SA and how he's blaming himself for things that were out of his control? because that's the impression i'm getting from what i've seen. he talks about "goddesses" as his "greatest weakness" and that "he's not one to say no to them"...

when mel invites him to the bath, he brings up mortals having different standards for intimacy than gods and how it usually has a more romantic/sexual connotation. she then asks if he's uncomfortable and he has a startled reaction and brings up circe and calypso again (but never actually by name)

(this isn't ship/romance bait btw. odysseus knew mel as a kid and they're stated in-game to have a sibling/uncle-niece relationship)

also he grew apart from penelope after his return, but the game makes a point of showing that his love for penelope and telemachus is what drove him on at all so that element of his character isn't brought into question

Penny stardewvalley makes me so sad because she's SO sensitive to, like, basically everything you tell her (telling her that you can't stand children while two children are nearby is a pretty lousy move but -1500 friendship?? being a jerk to other characters' faces typically loses you about 50 points, and if you choose the option labeled "creepy" and ask Leah for a kiss in her 2 heart event she physically hits you and kicks you out of her house but that's only -100 friendship…) and so if you want to befriend her it's a whole lot of lying and tiptoeing around her feelings (2 hearts: George was right but saying that makes her feel bad. 6 hearts: her food sucks but even if you try to be polite about it she feels like a failure; only a bald-faced lie pleases her. 8 hearts: saying you don't want to be tied down with a family loses you a little bit of friendship and she's only happy if you say you want kids) and I can't help but think she's a product of her environment. She lives in a trailer with only her mother, who gets drunk every night and has something of a temper. Penny's like a skittish rescue animal who won’t even come out from hiding under something unless you leave her lots of treats
