Okay i am not the nativity scene anon but ngl i can kinda see where they're coming from. on a literal level two large figures with (small, bald) dr. phil taking the place of the (small, bald) baby jesus; i think the thing thats really doing it for them though is that the composition mirrors nativity scenes. the large figures dominate the field of view but the intention of the piece is to draw the viewer's attention directly to the small central figure. in ur otasunes the central action of the piece is hidden behind SFW phil but that's where the eye would be drawn in the uncensored composition

Im gonna put out a disclaimer here that i only have a passing familiarity with critical analysis of religious artwork so dont quote my takes on the "point" of nativity scenes. it is also quarter till four in the morning. so maybe dont quote me on any of this.

Random ask, who are your favorite romantic relationship's couples in any media, like anime/manga, tv series, books, etc (can be canon or non-canon)? Feel free if you want to write the reasons or not of why you love them....

OHHHH uhhh most of these will probably be non-canon. Also I’m a HUGE fan of best friends to lovers and this is going to make that extremely obvious. I might not have a super deep reason for a lot of these…

-Vashwood (Trigun): I love that they’re totally doomed lmao. I mean, I like that it’s angsty.

-Orufrey (WHA): You can tell they’ve known each other for a long time just by the way they interact and I think it’s sweet. I’m not finished with WHA yet so I can’t really give a more deep answer than that lol

-Otasune (MGS): I like their friendship and there are definitely times in the series where they act 100% like they’re married, and I mean I can’t really argue with that

-ThanZag (Hades): I think they’re really cute together and it was just refreshing to see a game with an actually canon queer couple involving the MC. Also the angst at the beginning of the game was nice. Also also some of their dialogue together is absolutely perfect, so much pining fit neatly into a small text box. I should take notes for my own writing like actually

-Jolymes (JJBA): their relationship would definitely be chaotic as hell and I think that’s entertaining. Also they’re just cute together!!

-Klapollo (Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney): I mean. You can’t really argue against “but this is the first time I’ve felt this way with a man.” Their contrast is funny and I can see them genuinely being a good couple

-Kazangelo (Neo Yokio): Ok this one is definitely ironically because I watched the entirety of Neo Yokio ironically, but god it’s so fucking funny to me. Their relationship is terrible and so are they. Literal comedy gold. I would totally buy Kazangelo merch if it existed- someone hit me up with fan-made Kazangelo merch if it exists.

Also I’m annoying myself because I could have SWORN there were at least a few m/f ships I was obsessed with at some point but now I genuinely can’t think of any… the only thing that comes to mind is Cloti from FF7R which I wasn’t even that crazy about. I CANT THINK OF IT AAAAA it’s bugging me!!

I was watching an episode of bobs burgers and everybody wakes up early. Eventually all the kids got into bed with Linda, and it actually made me miss my mom. I used to do that when i was a kid and mt mom was here.

I've been watching a lot of Kitchen Nightmares, cause I love food like to much and I love Gordon Ramsay lol. Anyway I watched an old favorite episode and it was a restraunt in London and Gordon did all the commentary on the episode. I watch the American version and it's like a fucking crime documentary! A disembodied voice doing all the commentary, showing what's gonna happen later in the episode and all the shouting matches and bad food and stuff. I hated that so much. Compared to the UK version is crazy!

Not enough people make content about Snake and Otacon being awkward, acne-covered teens, so I just wanted to say I appreciate your work and all the HORRIBLE FLASHBACKS to BEING A TEEN your latest piece of art gave me. Dave being just one weird kid of many in a public school system is just such a delightful juxtaposition to THE HERO OF SHADOW MOSES. If you have any other headcanons for the dweeb, I will hang on your every word.

thank YOU... by god i went through my entire teen years drawing them. when i draw THEM being awkward acne-covered teens and feeling nothing but love in my heart... it’s awkward acne-covered teen ME i learn to feel nothing but love in my heart for... we are coping ladies say if with me we are coping.

AS TEENS

Hal is the one who really grew up with the Digital Technologies so he spent a lot of time learning about and dissecting computers and all that.

he was a fucking recluse (lol) and really struggled to maintain friendships. it made running away at 17 easier but he also was really into his solitude, whether or not he realized he suffered from it, spending a lot of time Indoors which made him very vulnerable.

he attempted underage drinking Once. hated the taste + was a lightweight (also like. 16 so no shit)

braces 100% i see it i speak it i manifest it

he had one of them like. frienship bracelet? those made of a few strings braided together? he made it for himself.

Dave, even as an adult never learned computers and shit since he’s the gen before Hal’s

he LOVED P.E. as ive written he’s like That One Freak who loves it and is so good at everything sports-related. he has a very short temper in other classes but he’s intelligent as hell.

he really likes his alone time between classes (in my school after a certain grade when you had a hole in your schedule, either planned or because a teacher was absent, you could go to a room where you were left mostly-unsupervised and you didn’t have to do homework you could just. chill. play card games. take a nap. david loves that)

he’s the one guy who seems completely unbothered in the locker room, doesn’t have the awkward Whatta Hell Wrong With Me phase, except he does it’s just Inside <3

on that note, he has massive emotional regulation issues starting from like age 12 (like his brother LOL) and he can’t pinpoint why, doesn’t know if they’re purely environmental because he keeps being bounced from home to home, he feels there’s something Evil brewing inside, but since he doesn’t want to talk about it he picks up lifting at age like 15 and then never mentions anything else again <3

he also LOVES long hikes. like sometimes he just disappears for like 2 days in the mountains. sometimes his foster family minds sometimes they don’t.

AS TEENS... TOGETHER <3 (otasune below this point. this is what we DO here)

ok. so dave doesn’t know shit about computers and hal does. Hal meets dave when he’s trying to like print stuff and dave is like. word i have no idea how anything works. and hal is “oh um oh um oh do you want um help with that”

they have like... a Thing. a teenaged awkward thing. then they drift apart, Hal runs away, Dave goes to get his mind beaten over in the military, and they meet again in college, where they mostly pick up where they left off, both a bit less sane than they once was but less awkward.

Hal tries his hardest to teach Dave Computer things and dave is like. still no idea.

Dave invites himself over at Hal’s quite often, Hal doesn’t mind not going to his place because he knows his living situation but is always embarrassed when he comes over because he feels super vulnerable in his own home (both from his living situation and because he’s a nerd with a messy room and video games which, at this time, is still Niche Nerd Shit). he still is so thankful when dave comes over, even if he’s so shy, because then no one bothers him

dave has this Jock Who Protects Nerd From The Other Jocks posture to him except hal never gets actively bullied he’s more so ignored + dave doesn’t really belong in the Jock Clique he’s just There and sporty.

dave climbs hal’s house to his window in the middle of the night multiple times.
