i am no longer a taylor swift fan after reading about how she’s a bloodless money-grubbing freak who fleeces her loving fans :/ turns out it’s not the artistry that’s made her a cultural force, it’s her overzealous marketing machinery and shameless cash-grabs and a long history of attempts at rigging the charts and awards. her longstanding fans literally call her a greedy capitalist queen and are the source of this info bc they’ve tracked her ascent to the top (they’re still buying all 800 Taylor’s version re-releases of the same albums tho)

it was short-lived. i had fun listening to “i knew you were trouble” six times in two weeks and researching her lore but i’m relieved to learn i wasn’t missing out on anything which can’t literally just be bought
