Body pulled from Lake Pontchartrain, NOPD investigating A body was pulled from Lake Pontchartrain on Thursday afternoon, and the New Orleans Police Department is now investigating. According to Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Jason Rivarde, a person was crabbing and saw a body floating in the water and called it in. Rivarde said the body was recovered with boats near the Bonnabel Boat launch, but that the investigation is being investigated by NOPD due to the body being in Orleans Parish waters. This is the second body found in water in New Orleans this week. On Tuesday officers found a body in water in the 4200 block of Tall Pines Drive. 这几日，美国新型冠状病毒确诊人数依旧在快速增加。  

约翰霍普金斯大学(JohnsHopkinsUniversity)统计表示，确诊人数的数字恐怕还存在许多漏洞。  

现在没有人能确实掌握美国到底有多少人受到感染。  

首先，因为在筛检前就有部分生病或死亡的病患，他们未被包含在这些统计数字中。  

其次，现在还是许多人还未得到筛检，也有人选择不接受筛检。  

再着，新冠肺炎的潜伏期非常长。  

部分患者感染后可能许多天都不会出现症状，或者一段时间后才只出现早期症状，也必须等更久才能接受筛检，然后还要等结果出炉。  

检出新冠病毒阳性的人数永远落后实际确诊人数长达一周或一个月，出现重症者接受筛检的机率最高。  

筛检不够普及的情况下，卫生官员无法掌握��分的信息回答关键问题，例如有多少人感染、或每个人传播病毒的机率通常是多少。  

伦敦卫生暨热带医学院(LondonSchoolofHygiene&TropicalMedicine)传染病数学模式中心研究人员在初步研究中发现，美国新冠病毒感染个案目前的统计数字，可能仅代表已出现症状感染者实际人数的14%到19%。  

未来几周，确诊人数可能依旧会大幅度增长。  

川普警告，美死亡人数恐多世界大战  

昨天早上，川普总统在白宫，甚至形容死亡人数很可能像第一或第二次世界大战那么多。  

全球在第一次世界大战死亡人数约4000万人，第二次世界大战则高达7500万人死亡。  

川普虽然没有说，未来几周会有多少人不治身亡的预估数字。  

但是他表示，“很不幸会有很多人死亡。我真的相信，我们很可能从来没看过像这样的数字，也许战争期间--世界大战（才会有）。第一次世界大战或二战或类似的。”  

在早些时候，有川普政府的官员说，如果政府不采取缓解疫情的积极干预措施，多达20万人可能死于新冠肺炎。  

未来六、七天疫情可能达到巅峰，美国最严重的疫情仍未来到。  

下一个重灾区，路易斯安纳州  

除了东岸纽约疫情受创最严重之外，路易斯安纳州南部的确诊病患死亡率不低，继纽约后排名第二。  

路易斯安纳州，可能是下一个重疫区，该州增加紧急措施希望能使疫情趋缓。  

该州染疫住院的患者中，截至为止，死亡率是22%，比纽约市的15%、佛州的13%、及乔州的16%都高出许多。  

目前该州染疫死亡的人数集中在两个地区，施洗者圣约翰郡(St.JohntheBaptistParish)和奥良郡(OrleansParish)。

路州目前已累积1万2496人确诊，372人死亡。  

路州州长爱德华兹(JohnBelEdwards)表示，该州会出现如此高的死亡率和居民整体的健康状况有关。  

当地居民普遍健康状况不良，患有各种慢性病。  

如，过度肥胖、糖尿病、高血压、心脏病、以及肾脏相关疾病等。  

除了纽约之外，现在宾州、科罗拉多和华府地区，病例也在快速增加。  

“未来两个星期非常重要。现在是尽一切所能的时候，尽一切所能保护亲友的安全。”

Judge #AngeliqueAristellReed was elected on Oct. 3, 1998 as the first #AfricanAmerican Judge to serve in First City Court for the Parish of Orleans. She was a graduate of #UrsulineAcademy, #XavierUniversity and #LoyolaUniversity Law school. After graduating from Loyola, she received the #GillisLongPublicServiceAward recognizing her talents and contributions to the community. She also was the national winner of the Frederick Douglas Moot Court Competition where she won an award for best written brief.
