Hello to you all out there ♥

My name is Imp; I’m a 28 year old gal with a knack for dark and twisted stories. I love writing as a hobby outside of my daily routine. Whenever there is time to spare, I dedicate it to writing and sharing it with my partners in crime.

I’m looking for mature writers who have no quarrels with a long-term (roleplaying) relationship. They also must be above the age of twenty. I need to make sure I won’t be writing with any minors. This one will be very specific so be sure to read through it carefully. I have little patience to sort out emails and messages who have not fully gone through my list of details, because this has become an all too frequent trend in the past few months that I’ve posted here. It not only wastes my time, but yours as well. So please, be sure to have at least read the basics of my ad before moving on to message me.
Trust me, I will know if someone hasn’t read through a word I said.

And if there are certain themes, areas or genres that aren’t mentioned here, they are usually outside of my range of expertise. Do not try to persuade me into doing something I wouldn’t normally do, just as a basic form of ettiquette.

Only do I look for those who allign with these said cravings and interests that I post down below!

With that being said, I am searching for dark, urban fantasy and gothic-themed plots, which may or may not include pre-existing canon storylines (certain fandoms), but I am also open to originals as well!

 °°°·.°·..·°¯°·._.· ☥ ·._.·°¯°·.·° .·°°° °°°·.°·..·°¯°·._.· ☥ ·._.·°¯°·.·° .·°°° Plots, genres, interests. Depending on how many hearts the particular craving has, the eagerness will fluctuate. °°°·.°·..·°¯°·._.· ☥ ·._.·°¯°·.·° .·°°° °°°·.°·..·°¯°·._.· ☥ ·._.·°¯°·.·° .·°°°
CANON & FANDOMS: ✒ Castlevania: Though the Netflix show is the next current hype, I am more interested in exploring the game and manga universe, aka the original. I love vampires and the whole lore that surrounds them. ♥♥♥♥
✒ Devil May Cry: If you may have noticed, I am a huge fan of the game series. Capcom delivered a true masterpiece with this one. Demons and hunters? Action packed, insane characters and deep storylines? Sign me up! I’ve always been a sucker for urban fantasy, gothic inspired aesthetic and powerful character with a pinch of devil in them. I’d be ecstatic should you chose to roleplay this one with me. ♥♥♥♥♥
✒ Resident Evil VIII: Now I have not played this game yet, but I’ve ordered it and can’t wait to get my hands on the tall lady everyone’s been talking about. (Oh… I hope it didn’t come off the wrong way, lol). Just with Devil May Cry, this game has an air about it that makes my dark little heart beat faster. I’m willing to give this a try. ♥♥♥
✒ Justice League Dark: Who doesn’t love a good superhero rpg? But to be fair, being a lil darkling myself, I’ve always had a soft spot for Justice League Dark, especially the character John Constantine and Raven. ♥♥♥
✒ Harry Potter: Next gen. I already have a character and a bit of a plot for this going on. Harry Potter has defined my writing and also given me so many inspirations. Would absolutely love doing something along those lines. ♥♥♥ ORIGINAL: ✒ Blood everywhere: Anything involving vampires, I am game. I have, however, come up with a few interesting and original ideas regarding the vampire genre. An interesting take if you will. ♥♥♥♥♥
✒ Hell’s little helper: Some people are born with certain abilities that reach beyond human capabilities. My character was born with a demonic shadow that is both a blessing and a curse. After her parents were murdered under mysterious circumstances, she became a special agent with expertise in supernatural matters. With the help of her hellish helper, they expose something that runs far deeper than they could have ever imagined. ♥♥♥♥♥
✒ Blue Roses: In a metropolitan city, once famous for its glitz and glamour is now falling at the hands of corruption, as evil and criminality is soaring by the day. Drug barons, mafia bosses, organized crime, and corrupted politicians now have the upper hand. Along with a strange outbreak of ghoulish individuals are taking the streets. All of this is caused by a drug that has the power to enhance by tenfold; turning them into powerful beings, neither beast nor man. Only the bravest will try to find the truth and stop this madness from spreading. Though chances are as scarce as the possibility of a natural blue rose occurring in the wild. ♥♥♥♥

Pseudonym: Imp

Age: 28 years

Experience: 12 years

Preferences: 1:1 Roleplaying

Partner: 20+ or above. I only accept mature partners.   Timezone: I am from Europe, so there might be a sliver of a chance that my timezone could differ from yours.

EMAIL: [email protected] I am very spontaneous, so I can always adjust to a new setting, depending on how good and compelling the concept is.

Inspirations come from various sources and origins, be it a fandom (an already existing universe) or an original storyline.

Please read through these paragraphs carefully before you decide to contact me! I would less likely respond to a message with the title ‘Hey, wanna rp?’, or very vague messages that has little to no substance.

°°°·.°·..·°¯°·._.· ☥ ·._.·°¯°·.·° .·°°° °°°·.°·..·°¯°·._.· ☥ ·._.·°¯°·.·° .·°°°
Here are my rules and guidelines for my partner to consider: °°°·.°·..·°¯°·._.· ☥ ·._.·°¯°·.·° .·°°° °°°·.°·..·°¯°·._.· ☥ ·._.·°¯°·.·° .·°°°

☞  Writing:  I  expect my partner to have an at least adequate if not decent grasp on basic grammar and punctuation. My texts will be lengthy, detailed, and elaborate. Third-person is usually my preferred way of playing my character unless there’s a special case where exceptions can be made. Word count usually fluctuates, though I have a standard form of 400-500+ words per response. It also highly depends on the given situation. I don’t want to set anything in stone… just to give you a basic idea of what you’re in for.

☞ Plotting: Important. I am fairly quick when it comes to building new characters, concepts, premises, storylines, backstories, etc… This means there is certain flexibility available that allows me to adjust. Even though it is a hobby, I am still passionate about good storytelling and interesting character arcs. I hope to meet someone who is just as enthusiastic and willing to put in the same amount of effort as I am. If it’s only me who’s pulling all the weight, I will lose interest fast and I will have to end the correspondence. Aside from that, I love going a little crazy with the possibilities and push things to their absolute limits. Of course within the boundaries of the given setting.
☞ Communication: It’s certainly chill. You can talk to me about whatever occupies your mind since I am very open and always happy to listen to others. I also tend to be chatty, sharing a meme or a joke every now and to loosen up the mood. If you consider choosing me as your roleplaying partner, be sure to maintain a certain consistency. I have nothing against going on a longer break or even a hiatus, but the whole `ghosting stick´ is something I have little patience for. So if you’re unsure of upholding a stable, long-term partnership, feel free to skim past this ad.

☞ Pairing & Romance: Okay, right off the bat, I am a hopeless romantic through and through. I enjoy good and strong chemistry between characters just as much as the next, and this will be no exception. I prefer the good ol’ MxF pairing because I have more experience with this. But I also like playing a FxF dynamic or MxM. Everyone is welcome! When it comes to pairing itself, I want to make sure our creations are compatible, for I hate forcing characters into a romantic relationship for the sake of progression. A natural flow is what I am aiming for. ;)

☞ (Disclaimer) Very mature:  Adult and taboo topics are absolute. There’s no way I'll dance around that topic; as in my world, it is a running theme. The adult world is not always easy to handle, but it’s interesting to explore. That includes violence, cursing, shocking content, and all that dark stuff. My limits are few, safe for a couple of minor pet peeves that I have, I am pretty much open to some experimentation. When it comes to action-heavy scenes (be it an intimate situation between two characters or something on a cataclysmic scale), I won’t fade to black since I am not a tremendous fan of censorship. I will, however, not force my partner into something they are not comfortable with. If you want to know the extent to how far I am willing to go, what sort of content, or how detailed my writing will be, you can always ask me. Communication is key. Regarding smut or lemons, whatever you call it, it will never be the focus of any of my roleplays, but I enjoy a good erotic scene with a lot of tension (if they are good).

☞ Boundaries: Not a big fan of pedophilia, necrophilia, scat, bestiality, or those dreaded ‘futas’. ☞  Interests: There’s a pretty broad spectrum of what I deem interesting and inspirational. From fallen angels and demon/monster hunters, mages, criminal masterminds, cybernetically enhanced characters to futuristic dystopian settings, ancient kingdoms who have fallen against the test of time. All of it causes my heart to skip a beat. For the content that I am currently craving, I’ll just leave a brief list of bullet points of the general themes that fall in line with my current interests.

☞  Doubling: Yes, absolutely! If you are prone to doubling, chances are I might accept you as my partner straight away! Although I have nothing against the simple form of roleplaying, doubling is something I’ve done since my first time joining.
☞  Characters: Very character-driven with the main focus being on interaction. I take my time writing characters and love nothing more than well-structured sheets that illustrate the vision of the creator. (But!) There’s no need to write 10-20 pages worth of character information, but I wouldn’t necessarily want to limit you either. As for the depiction of the given character, I won’t be as presumptuous as to tell you what sort of medium you can and cannot use. Face claims such as photos of existing models, illustrations, 3D models, drawings, or descriptions are all okay with me. As long as it gets its point across, I am happy.

☞  Aversions: A few minor things that irritate me, or let’s say, aren’t my style are one-liners, low effort responses, and out-of-character behaviors in canon characters. We all have different takes on characters, which is fine by me since I do the same. Though if the character acts and behaves unlike their personality dictates, it will break the immersion. I hope to stay true to my own words when saying this. If it happens on my side, just let me know! Another pet peeve of mine is that one plot that has been done time and time again…. and I’ve grown quite jaded towards it, which is ‘supernaturals trying to fit into human society’ thing… I mean, I’m not opposed to borrowing from this idea, but for me, it grew old pretty fast. Speaking from experience.

☞  The goal: My wish is to find a partner with whom I can have a good time and develop some chemistry. After all, it is a fun hobby. We both should have fun with what we’re writing. Brainstorming among other things is one of my favorite things to do. To see how things unfold and how the characters react to the given situation is the highlight of any story. °°°·.°·..·°¯°·._.· ☥ ·._.·°¯°·.·° .·°°° °°°·.°·..·°¯°·._.· ☥ ·._.·°¯°·.·° .·°°°

Thank you for bearing with me this far. I am looking forward to your messages!

Have a wonderful day! ♡

Our Interview With The Dev Team Below The Cut!
Introduce yourself! Macdev: Greetings and salutations. I'm Mac, writer, artist, and programmer for Cadeau, as well as the founder of Halfworld. I've loved Rpg games since I was about 10, and have been creating them since! Bruno: My name is Bruno and I'm the music composer. I got into game music approx 2 years ago and I've currently made music for a couple of games and other projects, and Cadeau was the first one of them. Aidan: I'm Aidan/kanteramcneil on Tumblr! I'm one of the voice actors, and I'm super excited to be able to follow Cadeau's progress! I've been in the RpgMaker community for a few years now and I adore being able to watch all the devs progress and grow Rindre: Hi I'm Rin! Currently, I'm on an indefinite hiatus, but Big Mac managed to catch me, chain me up to a chair, and make me say stuff about myself against my will. So... I make games, I guess. - Note from macdev: Erm, not true? These accusations are SLANDER and I will not stand for it. WariA: Hello! I’m WaraiA, one of the voice actors of Cadeau — A pleasure to meet you! I will be voicing the oh so mysterious ‘Your Admirer’, so please look forward to listening to my antics ☆〜(ゝ。∂) I am a Japanese/Chinese Australian born citizen, with a tendency to speak in an American accent. Any pronouns are fine for me My most notable role so far has been Harpae from Pocket Mirror, so some of you may be familiar with my voice already! Nothing much has changed — I enjoy cosplaying, role playing, drawing every once in a blue moon, Final Fantasy XIV, and most importantly, catboys (Nael, I’m coming for you, boy) As ‘Your Admirer’ is a rather elusive character, I cannot disclose much. But I do suggest always keeping one eye open throughout your journey
Tumblr media
What is your project about? What inspired you to create your game initially? *Macdev: Cadeau is a game about a troubled young woman named Charlotte Émile-- who is a "tomboyish" and bold individual who has been unfortunately presented loneliness by a series of disastrous events. After giving up on companionship, she miraculously receives an affectionate letter from a mysterious person aliased as her "Admirer". This "Admirer" character beckons poor Charlotte to visit them at a mysterious well in the woods, and to come armed with nothing but a strange golden coin. From there, madness ensues. Our protagonist must learn of her past and the events that lead to her misfortune, all while becoming entangled in a family drama rooted in witchcraft, raging years before her unexpected arrival. It is a story about self-love, friendship, acceptance, magic, and all that corny-ness. Sounds fun, right? My initial inspiration was The Witches House. The game was originally meant to be simple, and maybe an hour or 45 minutes long. A simple story, and a straightforward 2-ending path.... How have we managed to get here from that?
How long did you work on your project? *Macdev: Two years, I believe! Its anniversary is April 8th. In the beginning, it was very off and on-- because I was having a difficult time with school and-- as I mention-- organization. So not a whole lot of progress was made then. I'm proud to say I've been chugging quite a bit faster than my previous pace!
Did any other games or media influence aspects of your project? *Macdev: My inspiration would probably lie in Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts, and Alice returns to madness. As for RPG games? The Witch's House, Havenfell, and Pocket Mirror. As well as many other beautiful artists and creators in the video game community. Overall, my biggest inspiration for this game has got to be the stop-motion movie: Coraline. I even reference the movie once or twice in Cadeau. The tone of Coraline, and the whimsical yet eerie people and creatures within it give me inspiration for this game. It was very much a favorite of mine when I was younger, and that still applies today!
Tumblr media
Have you come across any challenges during development? How have you overcome or worked around them? *Macdev: The biggest problem I've run into has been a lack of structure. In the beginning, I hadn't even written out the story halfway. I was just pulling ideas from thin air, going back and forth, and deleting entire concepts-- only to bring them back and re-arrange them as I went. Characters weren't fully dished out; the game didn't even have an ending. This state of creating is fine, but not when you have other people expecting things from you. Thankfully, things are sailing much MUCH smoother than before.
Tumblr media
Did any aspects of your project change over time? How does your current project differ from your initial concept? *Macdev: It's absolutely taken a turn from what it was originally! As I say, it was meant to be an extremely short game in the beginning, and now obviously that’s not the case. The goal for Cadeau now is: around 2-3 hours long in playtime, and full of many diverse character types! As well as a storyline that extends far more than face value. Which is in high contrast to the basic, short, immemorable experience that it was going to be.
What was your team like at the beginning? How did people join the team? If you don’t have a team, do you wish you had one or do you prefer working alone? *Macdev: I do have a wonderful, beautiful, talented team working with me on Cadeau. - A composer! (Bruno Buglisi), - As well as voice actors! (WariA as Allete, Aiden/kanteramcneil as The Botanist, and Rindre (who I have definitely not kidnapped...) as The Maiden) I met everyone in the team through volunteer posts-- and I had never done that before-- but it worked very surprisingly well! We worked very quickly together, and we had a very mutual understanding of what each other wanted. It feels good to know I have such talented people helping this game come to fruition. I owe a whole lot to them for helping the game become what it is now.
What was the best part of developing the game? Macdev: Being able to make the world in your head interactable, for sure. Since I was 8, maybe even younger, I have loved writing stories and making art. Webcomics were my main thing as a kid, so story-telling is something I’ve always loved. So, the fact that I can turn my ideas into something someone can experience and interact with is a wonderful feeling. There's nothing more fulfilling, honestly!
Do you find yourself playing other RPG Maker games to see what you can do with the engine, or do you prefer to do your own thing? *Macdev: Very often, actually! I try not to ride too close to the material I see in other games, but I do gain lots of inspiration from my fellow creators! One thing I am laser-focused on, though, is making Cadeau quite unique content-wise. I want it to have very interesting, uncommon puzzles and mechanics that you may not expect from this type of game-- or one of this engine. So far, I think I've achieved this-- so look out for that!
Which character in your game do you relate to the most and why? (Alternatively: Who is your favorite character and why?) *Macdev: My favorite character has got to be The Botanist. At the beginning of the game he has no dialogue, yet still presents such a strong personality. They are kind, thoughtful, and absolutely adorable. Look at that foofy hair! I'm a sucker for it. Their character arc is something I'm excited for. It's been a blast writing it so far-- and I won’t spoil anything-- but you guys will love him. I'm sure of it. Now if we're talking character design, Naël has got to be my favorite. He recently received a “tune-up,” as I would like to call it, and I think everything works together very cohesively in his design now. It's probably one of my favorites out of all of them, at this point.
Looking back now, is there anything that regret/wish you had done differently? *Macdev: Thankfully, things worked out perfectly-- and the universe blessed me with a wonderful team in the end-- but it was very stressful once I realized I had asked for help way too early. I essentially made a single map, and a little character sheet-- then asked for a whole team to help me out. As I said, it luckily worked out in the end. Now we have so many amazing people helping us-- but we also lost a few in the madness-- and that's a mistake on my part, 100%. If you don't know what you want, it's hard to ask for help. It will lead to confusion, lots of back and forth, frustration, etc... Just wait until your way further in development. Trust me. I know it’s easy to jump the gun and shoot for the stars, but sometimes it won’t work out as well as it has for the Cadeau team!
Do you plan to explore the game’s universe and characters further in subsequent projects, or leave it as-is? *Macdev: I won't say as of now! The idea of a sequel/prequel has floated around, but if it does come to fruition, it won't be until way after the release of Cadeau. We'll just have to see. (This isn’t to say I’m not hopeful!)
Tumblr media
With your current project, what do you look most forward to upon/after release? *Macdev: I have so many amazing project ideas lined up for after the release of Cadeau. I won’t spill too much, so they'll be more of a surprise-- but they range from classic, adventure-themed true RPG's-- to 3D teenage-thrillers. I'm honestly stoked, there's so much in store for Halfworld.
Is there something you’re afraid of concerning the development or the release of your game? *Macdev: I think my biggest fear is letting people down. Also, I worry about losing interest or having people form the idea that the game is never going to be completed. It’s just going to take some time, is all, and that’s okay!
Do you have any advice for upcoming devs? *Macdev: I already mentioned above not to jump the gun and ask for help too early, so some more advice I'll give: is to keep all your material, all your ideas, and all your concepts in one concise place. I would say do it digitally from the get-go, but if you would prefer to write it down physically that's fine! Just make sure it's only one or 2 notebooks, and not 13. The information for Cadeau is spread throughout my hideous mound of notebooks, as I get up during ungodly hours of the night to scrawl a sudden idea down. So, I'm currently in the process of moving them to one digital spot-- and while it's generally easy-- I would have been able to avoid it if I had just put everything in one spot in the beginning. Oh, and back up your progress regularly! I have separate backups of Cadeau from months in 2 different years, and in 4 different places. So, I take backups very seriously—and so should you!
Tumblr media
Question from last month's featured dev @atlasatrium: What's your favorite RPG Maker game and why? *Aidan: I love End roll, Ib, OFF, Prom Dreams, From Next Door, and Aria's Story! Bruno: Mm, definitely Long Gone Days (though it’s not being made on rpgmaker now) Midnight Train, Heartbeat and Glitched! WariA: I don't really have any :0 the devs I've worked with so far have all been really sweet (´꒳`);; Macdev: This is a tough question! I have a lot of favorites. Probably Stray Cat Crossing overall, but I also love Home and Starboy. Starboy brings a lot of memories, and Stray Cat Crossing was what inspired me to start making games! Oh, and Home is just very cute.
We mods would like to thank HALFWORLDstudios for agreeing to our interview! We believe that featuring the developer and their creative process is just as important as featuring the final product. Hopefully this Q&A segment has been an entertaining and insightful experience for everyone involved!
Remember to check out Cadeau if you haven’t already! See you next month!

Some game recs to help you move on from LITG
To celebrate the end of the season, I’ve got some game recs for you. Finding games like this is hard, I know. If you’re like me, it’s frustrating to see a market flooded with games that are so close to what you want, but never quite reach the level of emotional engagement and immersiveness that you crave. So here’s a couple you may not have heard of that I can guarantee you’ll love:
1. Seven Kingdoms: The Princess Problem (PC, Free Demo)
7KPP is a delightful little indie VN by the gorgeous @azalynestudios. A romance/political intrigue game where you play as a delegate of one of these nations at a political summit, where your goal is to improve relations between the kingdoms and secure yourself an advantageous marriage, as well as personal quests and some murder mystery elements. It boasts a large range of LIs, both male and female and all amazing (and very difficult to decide between), as well as a fully customizeable MC (background, personality, skills, everything), huge range of dialogue options and great feminist undertones. Currently the game is still in development but the demo is almost a full game in itself with hours of replay value (and I’ve also played the most recent alpha version of the full game and can confirm is is like 90% finished and amazing). If you liked LItG please play this game. You will not be disappointed. Also the demo is free so you’ve got nothing to lose except your faith in me.
2. Regency Love (iOS, $8 AUD)
Regency Love, as the title suggests, is a romance game set in the Regency era. You play as a young lady going through her daily life as gentlewoman, trying to secure marriage prospects (or not, if you like). It’s like playing through an Austen novel, honestly. The art and sound design is gorgeous, it’s well written, feminist, has an MC who’s personality is fully customizable by the choices you make. The best thing about this game though is the little details that pull your MC into the world, like finding out gossip about you and your LI or overhearing them gush about you. The only this wrong with this game is that it doesn’t have any female love interests. Otherwise this game is perfect imo. Retails for around $8 AUD with an additional love interest for $5 (which i highly recommend. Mr Graham is the best and if you’re a Bobby stan he’s the one you’re gonna fall in love with). Only available on iOS.
3. The Dragon Age Series (PC, Console, Price Varies)
So, obviously these aren’t IF games, however as the only AAA RPG games in history to actually craft authentic, heartfelt romances, they deserve the spot. Not to mention the rest of the storytelling is fantastic. Play whichever game you like, they’re all great for different things, but I would recommend you start with Dragon Age: Origins. You play as typical RPG hero who is tasked with saving the world with a bunch of assholes you pick up along the way. Origins in particular is super immersive with a large dialouge tree and decisions that directly effect the game world and the events of the proceeding games. I’m sure most of you have at least heard of Dragon Age, but if you haven’t played it yet, go do yourself a favour
That’s actually about it for games that I would hand-over-heart recommend to everyone. But it’s not a lot, so here’s some others I’ve found in my travels that might be worth checking out, depending on what you’re into (in rough order of how much I like them):
Endless Summer (Choices) - The only Choices game worth its salt, IMO. It’s come to my attention that not everyone has played it? Go do that.
Titanic (Storyscape) - Be prepared to ~cry~
Dream Daddy - It’s not my kind of game but you can’t deny its good.
Mystic Messenger - Classic otome, only the LIs are actually likable.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery - All things considered, a good RP game
Aloners - Excellent for what it is. Great indie game.
Hakuouki - *sigh* Can’t not put the OG on here. Characters, story and theme are great. As a romance game? Not so much.
The Arcana (I never got into it but I know a lot of people love it)
Backstage Pass - Basic, but kind of cute.
Monster Prom - Barely a romance game, but fun nonetheless
Nameless - Again, like all classic Otomes, not my favourite for romance, but a cool game notheless
Red Embrace: Hollywood - It’s...an experience. I can’t say I hate it though. Read trigger warnings.
Dangerous Fellows - Great concept, wish it was better written.

👶,⭐,💘, and💻. Love you!!
thank you for ask anon! writer ask game is here if yall wanna send in something. still taking asks for these btw
👶- advice for new writers =
yall this is hella fucking generic but PRACTISE. theres a reason almost literally every writer on tumblr gives the advise of “practise practise practise” and that reason is it works. practise doesnt mean ‘oh just write bc youll automatically get better over time’ it means ‘write bc if you dont, you wont figure out what you need to improve.’ did yall know that i literally had no sentence variation in the past? i started every sentence with [character name] or [character pronoun] and i didnt realise until i was 15/16 and i only realised bc i started writing a lot.
i think there’s a fear of failure with new writers. there’s this lingering doubt of  “what if its not good?” and boy howdy i will answer that question right fucking now. it wont be good. when i compare my current work to my earlier work, my earlier work sucked fucking shit. i spelled soldier with a fucking ‘j’ and i had no idea what the hell a point of view was. and thats okay. whoever tells you that youre going to perfect writing is a fucking liar. there is no perfecting writing. 20 years from now, imma look at the writing from today and im gonna think it sucks shit. writing is a process. its a craft. you get better and better over time and the way you get better is by experimenting w different styles, different genres, different ways of writing.
and the only way you can experiment and improve is through practise. in video games, especially rpgs (which are my favourite kind of video games), you struggle in the early game. youre at a low level, you dont have good equipment, you have a hard time moving to the next area. but the only way you progress is by grinding, gaining levels, and getting stronger. same w writing. if youre a level 1 writer, just starting out, no idea what to do, just experiment. fuck around a bit. write crackships, write rarepairs, write niche self-indulgent reader/character fics. at the end of the day, you should write for yourself. its good and cool if other people like your stuff and validate all your hard work, but at the end of the day, the one who should enjoy your writing the most is yourself.
you WILL mess up and you WILL struggle, but thats the only way you can improve. i struggle with pacing the most. still do. but others might have pacing down pat and struggle instead with word choice or pov or something else. cant figure out where you need to improve if you dont write, so just practise and worry about all the fine print later
⭐️- how do you get your inspiration? =
this is definitely not universal, but i just sit on my bed, close my eyes, and meditate. cycle through all my emotions and thoughts and filter them out. then i just toss everything out the damn window. like. id just meditate for a while, focus on breathing, on experiencing the present, picture a field and a tree and myself and breathe. thoughts fly by and i let them happen but dont focus on it.
meditating gives me some semblance of emotional control bc i normally have none, and it gives me kind of this space. this safe space that only exists for me and me alone. so i use that space to let the world drift away. just me and my thoughts and sometimes, those thoughts end up being good writing ideas. but i usually meditate for a set amount of time. like 15 minutes or 30 minutes so i dont write until i finish meditating.
then when i get out of my headspace, i open up my laptop and see what i remember. thinking too hard about something causes it to muddy up. same with art. in digital art, artists flip the canvas to refresh their eyes, see if there’s anything weird or wonky about the illustration that they normally dont see bc theyve gotten used to it. flipping the canvas is like giving our eyes a jumpstart and lets us see what we could do better. in traditional art, its turning the canvas this way and that or repositioning yourself. meditating is like that. a break. a cleanse. a kind of pause where you dont think about anything and just try to process what you already have. you relax and kind of let yourself float down a river of thoughts and sometimes, a fish would jump out of that river and youd go “hey, thats a good idea. i should try that” so when you get out of the river, youre refreshed and ready to go.
same principle with showers. more ideas come to you in the shower when you dont have anything to write with bc youre not thinking about it. youre not focusing on finding inspiration or motivation so ideas naturally flow through you. you know that feeling when you want to do x then someone comes along and says “hey you should do x” and suddenly all motivation to do x leaves? same w your brain. focus too much on “i should be writing” or “i want inspiration” and its never gonna come. just let things happen. at least, thats how i do it. some people might get inspiration by reading or watching tv. everyones different so if thats not what works out for you, dont feel pressured to try my method
💘- what’s your favorite AU? Least favorite? =
magic au. specifically fantasy au set in like a pre-modern era. shows like avatar where theres all this magic and fantastical beasts and so on and so forth. semi-modern like six of crows and nevernight are great too. i want that magic to be woven into people’s lives. harry potter is okay but there’s like this separation between magic and muggle. there’s this feeling of “magic” but like as a tool. like a spoon or a gun or a shovel. i want magic au’s that are INTEGRATED with the world its set in.
like in atla, earth kingdom people have trains they move with bending while fire nation people have machines powered by heat and steam. both correspond to their bending and makes sense for the world they live in. but if your plot is like harry potter and its less worldbuilding and more action, then there’s this book series called seasons rising (read it. so good) where there’s a bunch of spells but the spells have character. the people using the spells GIVE it character and it feels much more intimate. pokemon does the whole fantasy mixed w reality better. give two trainers the exact same pokemon and by the time that pokemon reaches lvl 50, its gonna have a different moveset, different fight style, etc bc it was shaped by the world and people around it. i like harry potter but tbh it could have been so much better
for the least favourite au, it’s A/B/O i dont like the whole “omegas are only good for breeding hurr durr” and “alphas are violent and aggressive and cant control themselves around omegas” thing and it squicks me out. major squick. i read the original harry potter squick (THAT one. yeah. you know the one) and i still hate a/b/o more. i get why people like it, and there are one or two fics set in a/b/o au that i enjoy reading, but as a whole, i severely dislike a/b/o fics.
the themes are squick, the character dynamics get so messed up, and shipping dynamics (bc a/b/o fics usually have shipping) just get so blown out of proportion. there are so many a/b/o fics that turn ooc or the character interpretations radically change or something else. no hate against a/b/o fans bc yall are amazing for writing/drawing yalls au. there are things that you can only do in this setting and exploring those things can be incredibly fun for people, but for me personally, its not an au i like to visit.
💻- three works of yours that are must reads =
i. dont know what fandom youre in anon or your genre preferences. so ill just rec you one fic for a different fandom each with kind of different genres. ts masterlist is on my side @hufflepuff-deceit and regular fanfic masterlist is on my writing blog @crownonymous
(BNHA) Viper. its my first serious attempt at fanfic in YEARS and its my baby. currently has 7 chapters, i havent updated it in a while bc im hyperfocused on ts rn, but i love it to bits. its just all of my fav bnha fics crammed into one fic. quirkless kind of villain izuku with stain as a mentor as they work together to bring light to the injustices of hero society and where bakugos bullying has visible and long-lasting repercussions? sign me the fuck up. you can read it on ao3 HERE bc its not on tumblr. kind of fast-paced, has a lot more action scenes than anything else ive written. heavy plot-wise but has a lot of humour and comedy to break things up
(Kimetsu no Yaiba) I Pray To God He Hears You. not related to my other kny fic oleander which is a multichap retelling au. iptghhy is a standalone one-shot and kind of a character study on one giyuu tomioka. i love him so much. giyuu is my baby and i adore him. so of course i wrote a sad fic focusing on him. well technically, the fic focuses on giyuu AND his relationships.  SPOILERS for chapters 130 and 131 of the manga. focuses mostly on giyuu and sabito, but there’s a fair bit of giyuu and tanjiro and urokodaki.  you can read it HERE bc this is also not on tumblr. also deals with heavy things but more emotion-wise since it doesnt have that much of a plot. loss. grief. moving on. survivors guilt. that kind of stuff.  very sad. hurt but with comfort, especially at the end.
(Sanders Sides) Logan’s Birthday Fic: Logicality. just what the title says. i wrote 5 different fics and published them all on logans bday but the logicality one received the most feedback and honestly? the cutest of the bunch. its gonna be crossposted onto ao3 but for now, you can read it HERE on my ts sideblog. theres no plot since its literally just domestic and relationship fluff. and puns. patton is in the fic, theres gonna be puns. nothing but good things and warm feelings bc logan deserves it.

thank you so much for such interesting asks anon! i enjoyed answering these. have a lovely day!

Best of E3 2019 ~ Belated Edition
E3 2019 - held June 11-13, 2019 in Los Angeles, CA - is already ancient history, but that's not stopping me from from giving some belated impressions of what was on display or announced at this year's show. Better late than never, right? Without further delay, here are my top 10 Nintendo-related highlights from the recent gaming extravaganza.
Tumblr media
10. Heroland This is a weird game: you act as a guide for a group of would-be heroes in an adventurer-focused theme park. The graphics are rather simple, and your party members more or less fight on their own, with you having only limited control over their actions. However, the story and writing in this XSEED-published title are hilarious and seem like they'll compensate for any gameplay shortcomings.
Tumblr media
9. Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield The demo for Pokémon Sword & Shield was pretty limited and didn't tell me much about the game I wasn't already expecting, but the big news for me was Yamper, the corgi Pokémon. How can you not love a corgi Pokémon?! If I hadn't been sold on the game before, well, I certainly am now.
Tumblr media
8. Animal Crossing: New Horizons Yes, it's too bad it got delayed, and yes, I wish it had been playable, but it's great to see that Animal Crossing: New Horizons is coming along well and including features like crafting and a bigger focus on multiplayer. It should be great!
Tumblr media
7. Fire Emblem: Three Houses In the space of one trailer, Fire Emblem: Three Houses made a tonal shift from Harry Potter Year 1 to Harry Potter Year 7. I can't wait to see how it all plays out when the game hits in July.
Tumblr media
6. amiibo! I'm always excited for more amiibo, but even more so when it involves favorite franchises like Zelda and Castlevania. It was great to finally get a look at characters like Richter Belmont, Incineroar, Dark Samus, and Chrom, and I could always use a new version of Link!
Tumblr media
5. Astral Chain This is another one that I wish had been playable on the show floor, but I'm very excited for it nonetheless. It looks to have all the great action that we've come to expect from Platinum Games, along with a lot of exploration and investigation and an extremely compelling cyberpunk world.
Tumblr media
4. Luigi's Mansion 3 I expected Luigi's Mansion 3 to be good, but the demo surpassed my expectations. The demo was dense and full of cool things to discover in every room, and I especially love the ability to slam ghosts into each other. Visually it's spectacular as well. And the E3 booth, which was practically a Luigi's Mansion 3 theme park attraction, was one of the best reasons to actually go to the show.
Tumblr media
3. Hero & Banjo in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Though neither Dragon Quest nor Banjo-Kazooie are personal top-tier favorites of mind, I'd be hard pressed to think of two more deserving characters to be added to the Smash Bros. roster. I've always wanted to smack my friends with a bird.
Tumblr media
2. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening The original Link's Awakening is in my top 25 games of all time, so I had high expectations for this one, and the E3 demo met all of them. It's a game I've loved for 25 years, with a gorgeous new "diorama-come-to-life" look, enhanced controls, and just enough newness for the game to feel fresh while still retaining all charm and familiarity of the original. The actual handcrafted dioramas in Nintendo's booth were amazing too, and sign me up for the special edition that includes an artbook!
Tumblr media
1. The Legend of Zelda: BOTW Sequel Predictable, yes, but how can I not pick the Switch follow-up to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild? As a landmark entry in one of my favorite series, I can't wait to see where Nintendo takes the series from here. Was that really Ganondorf's body? Will Zelda be playable? How will the formula change!? I can't wait to find out.
BONUS: Top 3 Non-Nintendo-Related Highlights of E3 2019
Tumblr media
3. Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III Despite the publisher change from XSEED Games to NIS America, Trails of Cold Steel III doesn't seem to have lost a step. It's about as classically inspired and traditional as you can get when it comes to RPGs on console these days, which is perfect for old-school enthusiasts like myself.
Tumblr media
2. Sega Genesis Mini Speaking of old-school, I was thrilled to go hands-on with the Sega Genesis Mini and finally play an English version of Mega Man: The Wily Wars. I'm looking forward to a lot of games on this piece of hardware, but none more than that. It's a dream come true after 25 years!
Tumblr media
1. TMNT arcade machine from Arcade 1up Likewise, I was very impressed by the scaled-down four-player Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade unit from Arcade 1up. Featuring both the first and second TMNT coin-ops, these are some of my favorite arcade games ever released, and they've never been available at home in arcade-perfect form before (although the Xbox 360 port was very close). Where am I going to keep an arcade machine, even a scaled-down one? I don't know, but I guess I'll find out!

I’m now 38 episodes into Black Clover (so not too far from being completely caught up) and honestly this has been ... an interesting ride, if nothing else. I think on the rare occasion that it’s good, it’s pretty damn good. The cast has some truly interesting characters and the animation definitely has its 10/10 moments. But when it’s overwhelmingly bad about 70% of the time I do have to wonder if slogging your way through this is really worth it in the end.
My biggest complaint so far is how disjointedly the arcs transition from one to the next. The dungeon diving was not only heavily inspired by Magi, but it came out of nowhere with no mention of their existence before or after that arc. Likewise, the attack on the capital by zombies was so random I honestly felt like I was watching the wrong show by mistake. Also the mana being shaped like birds was another nod to Magi and it’s bird shaped rukh, and we’ve even got the same “those who are loved by the mana/rukh can do great things” schtick. It’s really sort of odd how many themes feel like they’ve been ripped off from other popular shonen but I digress.
So far the best lead in to an arc has been the one I’m currently finishing up. It made literary sense, Asta going to hang out with one of the girls from the mixer (which was ... an odd thing to have in a Harry Potter rpg) and by sheer coincidence he just so happened to be around when someone carried out an attack on the village. However, the entire thing was far too drug out. It was a constantly revolving, tiresome stage of “its time for THAT move” and “I’ve still got an ace up sleeve”. Just one asspull after another, and WAY too many characters showing up in the fucking cave.
The entire thing is kind of a shit show where it doesn’t seem like the mangaka really knew which direction he wanted to take the story in. He just threw a bunch of popular shit at the wall to see what stuck and I’m not gonna lie. I’m actually a little upset that this survived the Shonen Jump rankings while series like Samon the Summoner got the axe. Like, this could’ve been really interesting especially with this cast of characters but the final result has no internal consistency to speak of. The magic is completely lacking in discernible rules that it operates on and it seems like the limits of any one characters abilities are simply whatever is most convenient for the plot. And when the story jumps around all over the place from dungeons to zombies to mixers to harvesting mana from children (yet another theme adopted from Magi) then yeah ... you really don’t have a succinct storyline at all.
Yami is daddy though so there’s that. 🤭
Anyway, I’m currently rating Black Clover a solid 4/10 and I don’t see that opinion changing very much in the future. It’s a weak series that has little to no originality in anything it does. I wish someone more competent had taken care of the storyline because I really do see the potential it has but the mangaka seems like the very definition of a hack tbh.

Had a dream that I think would actually make for an original take on the whole zombie apocalypse thing. Or rather, vampire apocalypse? Because the big thing was that the monsters didn't care so much that you made noise, but they COULD hear your heart rate.
So, the iyashikei zombie apocalypse story.
The white haired anime man that is my character/protagonist is digging through a library shelf that is just.... Cluttered as hell, noting that two harry potter box sets have appeared, so he isn't the only one who's running out of storage space and has started returning/donating thing to make room. Of course protag-kun is keeping himself to just what he can carry (the better to nope out of situations that seem even slightly stressful) so he returns books frequently, and between that and the absolutely GORGEOUS boxed lunches he brings by every day, the crazy cat lady who has taken over as librarian adores him. The cats leave the books alone and are cute, so protag-kun sees this as a win for everyone, even if allergy meds are basically impossible to find anymore.
I've already told you the twist, but this part of the story is supposed to be a "building up the mystery" vibe. Hell, an actual book would probably have the zombies on the front cover and still have the vibe I'm talking about, so you're getting the full experience.
Dude tends to his garden, forcibly calming himself and gently ushering some detached ghoul hands out of the brush like someone with a fear of spiders catching and releasing a spider, setting up a wood burning stove because the gas is untrustworthy, etc. He pours a lot of himself into cooking and food related activities not just because #survival but also because he clearly takes pride in it. Sometimes he does throw away pots instead of cleaning them, because without modcons like degreasing dish soap some things aren't worth the effort.
This is how he meets Cute Anime Girl protagonist, a homeless girl who is apparently so out of the loop she doesn't understand why the dumpsters aren't being filled. Protag-kun asks about the soup kitchen, because that's where he takes half of his leftovers -- the fridges are on for now, but even so, he does a LOT of cooking in the summer -- and Ready Made Waifu says that's for people who are "really suffering".
She's about to get on her soap box about it and that would be No Good so Protag-kun calms her down pretty quick by getting her to "volunteer" instead. He starts to wonder if she's out of the loop or just deluding herself.
He purposefully takes her down a path through an overgrown park where he knows there'll be some ghouls chasing squirrels -- small animals tend to have faster heart rates, so most humans are fine during the day as long as they take it slow and steady.
She reacts with genuine fear, which honestly doesn't tell him a damn thing. He gets her to calm down though and as they pass through the park he very very calmly walks her through what he knows: that they're attracted to high heart rates, that a lot of utilities are shut down due to lack of people to run the places -- even he volunteered to help safely shut down the nuclear reactor back in the early days -- that people need something to DO and so they hang out here -- a charitable kitchen that he keeps charitable.
A LOT of the people bring him things they made or found before they take a plate but it's only the books and the dutch oven that get a twinkle into his eye -- nothing more, he can control himself that much, thanks.
The third protagonist is introduced after a time skip of sorts -- there's only so much time in a night to dream. I think Ready Made Waifu's anxiety got them into some trouble?
They wake up in some dude's apartment with blurry memories and, well, when you're a girl on the streets for any length of time, this is Fear #1 so she's not calming down at all. Protag-kun eventually lets her lock herself in the bathroom in the hopes she can calm down, and decides to barricade the door for his own peace of mind. Then, of course, he realizes he needs to use the bathroom himself. He snoops around for a bit but apparently our dude locked the master before heading out.
Protag-kun knocks on the bathroom door and rmwaifu clearly cries out in distress. After sliiightly more frantic pounding on the door, she opens it and is very clearly having a good ass cry over the whole situation. Something about the way Protag-kun says he can't hold it anymore prompts HER to piss her pants and he switches gears into mother hen mode just as there's a knock at the door.
The owner of the apartment is apparently Oliver Queen from Arrow lmao. He says some "Locking me out of my own home? You have a way of making a man's blood boil." In a way that's clearly a threat based on the whole vampocalypse thing, so at least we're not having a repeat of that.
Grim hawkguy points out the the ghouls clearly have the strength to tear through drywall and protag-kun points out that the extra peace of mind is worth it for anyone who can't afford to have a pacemaker put in -- and apparently is right on the money. Once they're locked in, protag-kun announces his intention of burning rmwaifu's clothes, since apparently despite the time skip these are still the clothes that she slept on the streets in. Maybe I'll change it so they got covered in compost? Or this isn't that much of a time skip, just the good parts lmao.
Anyway, Protag-kun asks if grim hawkguy has like at least a pair of drawstring pants for her to borrow and he comes up with a fairly cute casual women's outfit that's only like a size too big. Apparently protag-kun saw the heart medication but didn't see the family photos.
Grim hawkguy has a wife and two sons, all of whom were out on a hunting trip without him when things got too real. He couldn't go because he was still recovering. There's no reception on the mountain so he couldn't contact them before the cell networks were shut down, and it's been too Long since they were supposed to come back. Hopefully they're just staying safe up there.
So we've got a hunter and a gardener-chef and a cute little mascot girl, I guess we're going restaurant/resort theme? I mean, keeping people relaxed is gonna be the number one key to survival in this setting, and I'm definitely feeling themes of people being inherently creative without the profit motive and like compassion being a survival niche and community as a self sustaining end goal type stuff. Could be a cool novel or comic. I might even have the right resources to turn this into a puzzle rpg. No one's burnt out on crafting systems yet, are they? XD

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Soundtrack Download

The Original Title also corresponds to the 15-track CD seen on some sites. 1 day ago  Each one is iconic. That's why ESO Morrowind looked at ES III for music inspiration. The soundtrack of ES III-V had strong identity and atmosphere and alot of the vague track in eso (imo) lacks the atmosphere of the single player games #26. The best Elder Scrolls music for me is the Forgotten Vale theme from.

Overview
There was a time when the Elder Scrolls franchise wasn't one of the biggest names in the RPG genre. That all changed in 2002 with The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, the first Elder Scrolls game to be released on both computers and consoles (Xbox). The game continued the franchise's fascination with open-ended gameplay that placed few restrictions on the gamer's actions — you might choose to follow Morrowind's main plot or lose yourself in exploring the game's vast world and its myriad sidequests. One of the consequences of this approach was that, probably involuntarily, Morrowind came to embody the difference between more non-linear Western RPGs and the traditionally story-driven JRPGs. With more than four million copies of the game sold, very strong reviews and a slew of end-of-the-year awards, Morrowind remains one of the cornerstones of Western RPGs.
To score Morrowind's soundtrack, developer Bethesda Softworks called upon the services of one of Western game music's biggest names, Jeremy Soule. Although still a relatively young composer at the time, Soule had already proven himself an expert at writing music for fantasy games with his work on the Harry Potter and Icewind Dale games, as well for Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Dungeon Siege. Morrowind would prove to be another steppingstone for Soule on his way to becoming one of the foremost composers for this genre of games. In a press release, Soule emphasised that the 'stunning epic quality of the Elder Scrolls series is particularly compatible with the grand, orchestral style of music I enjoy composing the most.' At the same time however, Soule was aware that due to Morrowind's free-wheeling nature, gamers might spend hours roaming a particular area in the game, similar to an MMORPG. Soule then chose to create a soft and minimalist soundtrack that wouldn't be too dominant during these long stretches of exploration, so the music wouldn't wear out its welcome.
This approach yielded mixed results, at least according to various game reviewers, who commented on the soundtrack's limited scope and on its overreliance on its main theme. Complaints were also levelled at the ambient, non-adaptive nature of the music, which failed to reflect the gamer's actions and current situation. Despite such criticism, Morrowind's soundtrack was nominated for 'Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition' at the Annual Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences's Interactive Achievement Awards in 2003, where it lost out to Michael Giacchino's Medal of Honor: Frontline.
On album, Morrowind's music was first made available on a 40-minute bonus CD that came with the game's Collector's Edition. Soundtrack collectors eager to find out how well Morrowind's music played outside of the game were later given an easier way to satisfy their curiosity. In 2006, Soule released Morrowind's soundtrack via his online music store DirectSong. This new release presented the music in remastered form and added six minutes to the difficult-to-find physical album, effectively superseding it. This review refers to the original physical release.
Body
So, are Soule's efforts for Morrowind as difficult to enjoy on album as during the in-game experience? Short answer: no. Fortunately, this is one of those rare cases where the soundtrack actually plays better outside of the game. First case in point: Morrowind's main theme. It's first presented on opening track 'Nerevar Rising' in obvious fashion. The track is effectively a series of presentations of the main theme, increasing in volume and scope as the melody is being passed from harp and flute to the celli, before a climactic finish on violins and full brass caps off the piece's development. It's to Soule's credit that the theme — essentially a simple three-note motif extended by two different secondary phrases — adapts well to all these different instrumental settings. The melody communicates lyricism just as much as an optimistic spirit of adventure once the orchestra cranks up the volume. This mellifluous quality comes to benefit the easily recognisable theme and helps it to adapt to other tracks' atmospheres, instead of blatantly putting its stamp on these compositions. 'Peaceful Waters' quotes the main theme briefly on flute and teases out its reflective character, while 'The Road Most Travelled' incorporates a rendition of the theme on solo cello into its lush textures. The melody plays equally well in the more energetic setting of Morrowind's battle cues, where the theme appears on flowing violins on 'Bright Spears, Dark Blood' and subtly referenced in the background of the second half of 'Dance of Swords.'
All these quotations of the main theme are fashioned intelligently and are inserted seamlessly into the flow of the compositions. It's a shame then that the theme only occurs regularly during the album's first half and then disappears — for good actually on the original physical album. If there's any issue with the main theme and Soule's use of it then, it's that the theme is actually underused and doesn't tie the soundtrack's second half together as well as the first half. Next to the main theme, there's a number of secondary themes which are specific to particular cues as a lightly-sprung but determined melody that's heard in various disguises throughout 'The Road Most Travelled'.
And what about the soundtrack's soft and minimalist nature? Good news here as well: Morrowind's music is anything but background droning. Instead, it's a rich score with pieces that develop formidably within their limited running times — ultimately the title's biggest strength. The album's compositions showcase fluid and expertly layered orchestrations that give every instrument section of the synth orchestra an opportunity to shine. Stylistically, it never goes beyond that classical fantasy sound that's been a mainstay of many games, with its rhapsodic and heroic strains. But on Morrowind, Soule applies this formula with an assured hand and the results are thoroughly convincing.
The album alternates battle tracks with more expansive compositions that seem to describe a scenery rather than actions. Its on these cues that the soundtrack develops a spellbinding pull and occasionally even a sense of grandeur that's most befitting for a world as large at that of Morrowind. Tracks like 'Blessing of Vivec', 'Silt Sunrise' and 'Shed Your Travails' are a well of soulful string melodies that don't fail to tug at the heartstrings, yet never sacrifice their noble air. Soule's talent for creating colourful, ever-changing orchestral layers is in full force on these pieces. The opening string melody of 'Silt Sunrise' is backed by increasingly complex orchestrations before calming down for a serene melodic statement, which in turn leads to a splendid conclusion over busy string ostinati and brass interjections. 'Shed Your Travails' and 'Caprice' calm down in their middle sections to include an ethereal female choir that instils the music with a real sense of wonder. On 'Shed Your Travails', this episode leads into an appropriately otherwordly, peaceful finish over glistening violin tremoli and a dying flute melody. 'Caprice', on the other hand, frames its spiritual interlude with light-hearted string ostinati and effortlessly segues from one musical extreme into the other. 'Blessing of Vivec' is just as beautiful and emotionally gripping as these cues, but remains more austere through its jagged solo cello lead whose cautiously ascending notes are a lot less flowing than most string writing on the album. While none of these tracks run longer than three-and-a-half minutes, they pack more development and symphonic drama into their running times than other compositions twice their length.
Morrowind's action material doesn't quite reach the same lofty heights, but it's convincing enough in its own right. Again, it's standard fantasy stuff: bold brass, driving strings and dramatic percussion. But Soule uses these familiar ingredients skilfully and presents them in well-composed shape. And his ear for details ensures these tracks merit repeat listens to tease out their intricacies, such as the rapidly descending violin ostinato figures on 'Dance of Swords' and 'Ambush!' Instead of using them to simply increase the tracks' rhythmic power, Soule places the cascading motifs between beats to create ear-catching, syncopated counterrhythms. Soule's penchant for constantly changing textures benefits the action tracks as well, even though their instrumentations are less colourful than those of Morrowind's slower tracks. Frequently, Soule casts his battle cues in an ABA structure that sees these compositions calming down in their middle section after a dynamic start, before ramping up the volume again towards the end. This change in tempo and texture is quite transparent, but helps to pace these cues and avoid monotony. And Soule makes sure that tension never sags during these quieter passages through the inclusion of lighter rhythmic elements such string pizzicati, hand percussion and tinkling piano notes.
All these positive qualities help to overcome the biggest criticism one could level at the battle cues: that their sound isn't powerful enough to allow them make their full impact. To a degree, this ties in with Soule's declared approach of not trying to overwhelm the listener with his music in-game. And make no mistake, the majority of Morrowind's action tracks are energy-laden enough to satisfy, even though you sometimes wish the percussion elements would have greater presence. But it's only once Soule's strips back the many layers of his compositions and focuses on the primal qualities of repetitive rhythms that things start to sound less promising, for example on 'Drumbeat of the Dunmer' and 'Stormclouds on the Battlefield'. The only thing that the minimalist rhythms of 'Drumbeat of the Dunmer' could have going for them is a resonant, forceful sound, and Morrowind fails to provide this. Tyranny bastard's wound ending. In general, the album sounds somewhat dull and compressed, with the effect that the detailed orchestral textures, particularly on the colourful slower tracks, aren't always rendered with a desirable level of clarity. Orchestral climaxes that should soar occasionally have their wings clipped, and the sustained double bass chords on 'Over the Next Hill' have way too much presence and muddy the soundscape. Sure, this is a synthesised soundtrack from 2002, but there are enough better-sounding albums around from the same time to suggest that Morrowind's acoustic appearance is hardly reference quality.
Summary
With The Elder Scrolls III -Morrowind- Special Edition Soundtrack, Soule further cemented his elevated standing among Western game music composers. The album impressively displays why Soule would come to be regarded as a specialist for scoring fantasy games. Particularly the more measured tracks on Morrowind are beautifully orchestrated and splendidly developed, to the degree that they sometimes feel like mini-epics convincingly compressed into three minutes. To a slightly lesser degree goes for the soundtrack's battle tunes, which are nicely varied in their textures and filled with intricacies, particularly when it comes to their rhythms. All the way through, Morrowind exudes that wondrous, yet bold feeling of high adventure that's so indispensable for a fantasy score of this character, captured in the score's strong but slightly under-used main theme.
Unless you insist on listening to your scores in a lossless format, the physical release of Morrowind's score is superseded by the digital version. The disc lacks the remastering and bonus tracks of the digital version, and ends particularly underwhelmingly with 'Drumbeat of the Dunmer'. That all said, fantasy score enthusiasts should not hesitate to purchase a version of this soundtrack.

Bekha’s third years at Hogwarts (until winter break) ~
Bekha’s third years at Hogwarts (after winter break) ~

Inspiration
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (Lewis Carroll 1865)
Alice in Wonderland (1951 Film)
The film Alice in Wonderland, directed by Clyde geronimi, Wilfred Jackson and Hamilton luske is directly based off of the books written by Lewis Carrol and is my main inspiration for my FMP. The mad settings and scenarios that Alice finds herself in are very intriguing and interesting to turn into visual media and while rather bizarre can be extremely entertaining to think about. The two books Lewis Carroll created have been turned into films, tv shows and animations several times now, with different levels of dark atmosphere and humour. The disney version, while rather odd is defintely more light hearted and the main version I wish to base my FMP from; especially the Golden afternoon scene https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0lbfEb8MMk (that shows off both the odd flora as well as the weird creatures in Wonderland) and then the scenes containing the Cheshire cat, seeing as this character is both visually interesting and rather odd to look at.
Kitbull Pixar Short (2019 Film) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZS5cgybKcI&t=2s
Directed by Rosana Sullivan and produced by Kathryn Hendrickson, Kitbull was a Pixar animated short based around small feline and large pitbull becoming friends and leaving their old lives behind for a better one together. It’s a very sweet film and hits emotional beats extremely well. Compared to the usual 3D animation style that Pixar uses for their films, Kitbull is 2D digital animation with backgrounds being based off of 3d renders and the characters being hand drawn. The design is very simple compared to busy backgrounds which shows how small the characters are compared to the rest of the world and it lets us focus in on their story alone.

Spottedleafs plan - fake gameplay  (2018) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yr6JwQuMMTA
Created by the youtube channel Surdi Oscen. Inspired by an ‘Alternative universe’ to the book series warrior cat’s - specifically by this speedpaint https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4q22TVczvqA . There was a different version where a voice was used but it was scrapped so that the animation used a ‘ding’ sound to indicate speech and it was decided to give a better effect. It's based on Ib and other RPG horror games that used to be popular- music choice even being used from the lb soundtrack  .
I’m mostly interested in the style of the ‘sprites’ used in the video, as they’re much simpler than the close up character and the lineless art helps focus on the characters designs and makes it very easy to look at.
Night in the Woods (2017)
Night in the Woods is a really intriguing game about the main character, Mae Borowski’s, life once she returns home from college. It’s a narrative driven casual game that has excellent writing and character interaction as well as visuals, created by Scott benson and Charles Huettner. The game works really well with colour and also has a dream world that’s vastly different to Mae’s normal life which can help inspire the themes of imagination contrasted to reality.
Spiderman: Into the Spider Verse (film-2018)
A new film made by Sony, the Spider-Verse is an amazing film that’s been able to create a very unique style of art for it’s filmmaking, blending 3D animation with 2D drawings to convey a look akkin to comic books, popping with colour and having great dynamic scenes with interesting visuals. This is another alternative universe based story, with many characters that have similar powers, back stories etc. all working together ;which leads to some odd and interesting character dynamics.
I find the art direction beautiful in this film and I’ll definitely try and incorporate some of it into my fmp if possible.
Double King (animation) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_MSFkZHNi4
An animation created by Felix Colgrave, Double King is an interesting animation due to the fact it was basically planned as the actual process went on. 2D digitally animated, Felix colgrave basically went on with the story as he animated, so there was very little planning to it apart from what he came up with at the time of creating frames. Despite this, the animation is still a very good quality and wall the narrative isn’t completely clear it can easily be interpreted by whoever is viewing it.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire (Film-2005) / Fantastic Beasts and where to find them (2016)
Based off of the books written by J.K Rowling I’ll mostly be looking to the harry potter universe for it’s creature designs and concept art, as there is a range of mythical beasts that could be used for inspiration in both character design as well as details in background to make an animation seem more alive.

Congratulations, ASH! You’ve been accepted for the role of TYBALT. Admin Bree: I don’t even know where to start with this application, Ash, except to say that I couldn’t stop smiling while I read it. It’s a bit weird, I know, considering Tiberius is not exactly the kind of character that makes people happy, but your portrayal of him was so accurate that I knew I’d found the right person to bring him back to the dash. Your plot ideas were wonderful, your interview was priceless, and your para sample was raw in a way that fit him perfectly. This was, in a word, incredible. Welcome to DiVerona! Please read over the checklist and send in your blog within 24 hours.
                                                                                 WELCOME TO THE MOB.
OUT OF CHARACTER
Alias | Ash.
Age | Twenty - three.
Preferred Pronouns | She / Her
Activity Level | On a scale of 1-10, i’ll definitely have somewhere between an 8 or 9 in activity. I’m currently looking for a job, so until i have one, i can be here just about everyday.
Timezone | EST.
Current/Past RP Accounts | http://macnaired.tumblr.com/  ( the link i’ve included is to one of my current characters in a harry potter/marauders rpg. his muse is incredibly similar as far as what i’m envisioning for Tybalt’s character when it comes to the violence, and the temper and the chaotic behaviors )
IN CHARACTER
Character | TYBALT – tiberius alessio capulet
(fun fact: The name Alessio is of Italian origin, and it means “defender,” a fitting name for the Captain of the Capulets, but holding a touch of irony, in that defender has such a positive connotation, associated with nobility and honor. A defender protects what is important to them, and Tiberius does, but he’s the most vicious extremist defender you could find.)
What drew you to this character? | WELL, first and foremost i’ve been creeping this rp for a minute now because it’s absolutely stunning, the bios are so thought out, the spin on the characters that so many of us know and love is so well executed, and i honestly just adore the whole mafia meets Shakespeare theme going on. It’s absolutely brilliant, and i’ve been so intimidated because of the flawlessness but i was like NO imma do this. not to mention Tybalt is such a BAE. and i will stop there before i start GUSHING.
BUT – scanning through the bios i was taken right back to my high school literature class just looking at Tybalt’s bio. I was drawn to him instantly because he was actually one of my favorite Romeo and Juliet characters. He was hatred given form and a name, sharply contrasting to Benvolio and Romeo. He was young and scrappy and pushed the plot forward with his need to fight everyone and everything. He was the active driving force in the Montague-Capulet rivalry (because let’s be honest Capulet and Montague were way too old and crusty to try and kill each other).  And i know you’re probably like – whaaaaat? But i’ve always been drawn to the more antagonistic characters no matter what the series. I adore the hot-blooded heathens, the wild cards, the perpetual pot-stirrers. I rooted for the Disney villains, okay? Not because i agree with any single thing they do, but i find their stories by far more intriguing. I love figuring out what it is that drives the villain – How did they become the way they are? Do they eventually get what they used all their villainy to pursue? I firmly believe that no one is born so evil, so for me, I was drawn to the potential for Tybalt’s arc as he slips from slighted Capulet prince to the potential king of the mob. I’m here for his unabashed and fiery personality, and his unquenched thirst for blood and power.
What is a future plot idea you have in mind for the character? | Where do you see this character developing, and what kind of actions would you have them take to get there? 3 future plot ideas would be preferable.
I can see different aspects of Tybalt developing as the story goes on. I want to see his ascent to the top of the food chain, I want to see him get the power, the glory. But I’d also like to see him struggle, have him realize that not only does responsibility come with this caliber of power, but great cost as well. I want to see him battle not only everyone in his path, but battle himself and his demons too. His values (or lack thereof) and loyalties need to be tested, because we know what he wants, but how far is he going to be willing to go to get it?
HOISTED BY HIS OWN PETARD // We all know the Shakespearean ending for Tybalt. He is very much hoisted by his own petard, stabbed by Romeo for stabbing Mercutio. One thing I’d love to explore is one of Tybalt’s likely enemies catching up to him, and giving him a taste of his own medicine. I’ve seen that some characters have become hostages of the opposing family, so LORD that would be crazy if that happened to him. I could even see something to the effect of him perhaps getting demoted to soldier status, his captain’s badge being ripped away and now having to work in the ranks of all his subordinates, take orders from someone else.
Tybalt thinks of himself very much in a godly light, that he is unbeatable, he is impenetrable and as of right now, due to the reign of terror he’s created in Verona, the bodies he’s left in his wake, he pretty much is. He is the dreaded. People don’t want to be on the receiving end of his wrath. For that, i’d love to see him finally fail. I want his underhanded tactics, foul play and dirty deeds to catch up with him. OR to make it hurt more, perhaps all that he’s worked for, his one goal, slips right out of his fingers just as he gets it, or right when he’s about to have it all.
WHATS A KING, TO A GOD // If people think Tybalt is bad now, he’ll be something else entirely if his plans were to come into fruition. Tybalt is the antagonist, we know that much. But he is no shallow villain, no mindless ruffian, just committing murder and causing destruction because he can (though, he does have the tendency to do so). There is a method to the madness. Every shot fired, every slice of his blade through the air, is a power play, an exertion of his dominance. While it would be likely very easy to get Juliana out of his way, realistically, Rafaella poses the real challenge. But I think an interesting way to take his plot, of course, would be for Tybalt to obtain everything he’s ever wanted. To convince his cousins of what he’s known all along - that he is the most fitting for the job. I would like to see him get a taste of what that kind of power is like, no matter how short or long the term. But one important thing in his bio that i picked up on is ‘complacency is cowardice.’ and because Tybalt is never satisfied, I want to see what his next big thing would have to be. He becomes the Boss …what then? I’d like to think that someone like Tybalt, once he has the power, he won’t know how to act, he won’t truly know what’s best for the Capulets. He’s a warmonger, the most likely to be a tyrant, and will decisively pick options with which their enemies will be eliminated completely, conquer territories, burn bridges and cut ties, as opposed to playing the game, taking on allies and getting close to foes. So a Tybalt regime - yes pLEASE.
CRACK IN THE ARMOR // Tybalt’s main goal is to be ‘king,’ be the ‘general.’ He wants to take what he believes is his rightful place as the Boss of the Capulet family, that means cutting down every and all obstacles in his way. He’s heartless, merciless, unapproachable and irascible , so naturally this would make for a surplus of enemies and not that many allies. I’d actually like to explore and see someone break past the stone walls Tybalt has built up around himself, pierce his iron armor. He’s distrustful of everyone, and likely won’t be able to comprehend positive attitudes towards him. He’s built up so much resentment and so much anger that it’s all he truly knows. But i want to explore some emotional depth with him, for someone to tell him it’s okay that he feels so much, perhaps even for someone to show him that he’s capable of much more than anger and snark. A confidant, perhaps even someone he might call a friend one day.
LOYALTY TESTED // As the title says, i’d like to see Tybalt’s loyalty tested. He’s not a loyal person outright, because he will turn on any ally, double cross any foe, only trusting himself, but family is the only thing he holds dear. I want to see Tybalt struggle with whether loyalty or power is more important. I want his limits (while there’s seemingly none) to be pushed. How far is he willing to go to get his cousins out of his way to the proverbial throne? I want the Capulet cousin conflict (ayeee alliteration!). But i want to see the sort of cool, boiling under the surface rivalry that is obviously there (and yanno - some cute fambam moments to cut the tension too, can’t always be conflict, even though Tybalt would say otherwise lol). There is love, there is love and devotion and protection from all sides, but for Tybalt there is also greed and there is envy - and they’re not considered deadly sins for nothing.
MY TOY SOLDIERS // This last one is a totally short term plot, but i would just love to see Tybalt in his role as that ruthless leader, in his element. I want to see the man working with his army of Capulet soldiers, gearing them up to defend the family name, knowing that they’re all incompetent underlings that can’t hold a candle to what he can do, but training them anyways out of obligation. Maybe even seeing the potential in a fellow soldier, offering mentorship at a price of allegiance, gaining himself a little lackey. I feel like Tybalt would love something like that, relish in the idea of pushing someone around.
IN DEPTH
The following THREE questions must be answered in-character, and in para form (quotations, actions written out if applicable, etc). There is no minimum or maximum limit for your response - simply answer as you would were you playing the character.
He sits, slouched lowly upon the leather of the sofa, dark eyes piercing into the boy who practically shakes with pad and pen. Pathetic. A knife, poised in his right hand, digs and then slices through the crispness of the green apple in his left. Tiberius’ gaze does not move once, doesn’t even blink as he raises the knife, the precise sliver of apple draping on the metal blade before he’s sliding it in his mouth. His lips pull into a sneer then as he chews, waving the blade around in an impatiently vague gesture, “So are we going to get on with this, or not? I’m the one doing you a favor - humoring this bullshit.”
“Y-yes. Right. Of course,” the interviewer rushed out, shaking his head, and adjusting the spectacles on his nose, “Um. What is your favorite place in Verona?”
“Your mother’s house,” replied Tiberius, not even a beat missed as his lips twisted wickedly. Full of cheek, he could be when he felt like it. So easily one could almost forget the brute that he’s rumored of being when he spoke like this, with petty words and boyish grins. A chuckle fell from his lips then, another bit of apple sliced off and popped into his mouth, “Ah – “ Tiberius’s gaze lifted towards the ceiling as he thought. “Pass.”
“I-I’m sorry?”
“I said ‘Pass’. Or did I stutter?” It wasn’t because he didn’t have a favorite place, because he did. Tiberius could actually say that he held a place in his hollowed heart for the Cathedral of Verona. Surprisingly enough, it had nothing to do with the fact that it was the Capulet Headquarters, the hiding place for all their deals and deeds. If anything, that was a bonus, but the true reasoning had to do with the aura of the church as a whole. There was purity in its very foundation, a sanctity within the walls, and it only held fond memories as he recalled his days spent within the pews, dressed in his Sunday best and marveling at the stained glass, attempting to recall the Latin words to the songs everyone was singing. There was something about the smell of incense and the ringing of the toll bells that brought him some strange semblance of peace in the chaos that was his life, his existence.
But he couldn’t let anyone know that. Sentiment was weakness.
“You can’t–” The captain was quick to cut him off, a clear and present challenge in his voice, “I can’t what? Hm?” Tiberius was sitting up then, leaning over to peer into the boy’s face more closely, all rules of personal space ignored for the sake of intimidation. His head ticked to the right, eyes widening dangerously. “Last I checked, this is my house, capiche? Which means - if I want to pass on this question, I’ll pass it. You wanna know why?” His right hand was twisting the knife with every word, rotating it over and over, plunging it deeper into the flesh of the fruit before he was swiftly ripping it out to point the blade in the other’s face, a silent demonstration, an unspoken threat posed, hanging in the air between them now. “Because I can end this interview.” End you. “And I know you don’t want me to do that.” The boy had the decency to look frightened.
“Next question,” Tiberius demanded coolly, leaning back once more.
“…What is your typical day like?”
“Wanna stick around and find out?” That wolfish grin of his came out to play then. The slow, roguish curve of his lips held a blaring warning, a firm promise, that sticking around to witness a day in the life of Tiberius Capulet was not a sound decision to make. Glory and gore was all it possessed. It was a decision one made if they wanted to lose their life by way of a stray bullet from his gun. It was a decision one made if they wanted to be up to their elbows in enemy blood. It was a decision one made if they reveled in the burn of fine liquor as it slid down their throat at ten in the morning. Because Tiberius did. But it was clear the other wasn’t interested. “Your loss. Wouldn’t be able to handle it anyways.”
“What’d Juliana say, hm?” Tiberius twisted the interview around, eyes curious as he deflected the question from him, before his voice took on a higher octave, mimicking his cousin, childishly, “Well first I wake up, and I drink a few mimosas. Then I go shopping with daddy’s credit card, and to finish off my day, I get a manicure and sigh about my life because it’s – so. hard.” The man was feigning pitiful sobs then, before rolling his eyes, his words holding spite, but his eyes shining with a certain fondness.
He was met with silence. Tiberius supposed that was fair.
“Well. You didn’t say what you actually…do,” the other pointed out, tentatively, slowly learning that asking probing questions could be likened to poking a tiger with a stick.
“I don’t answer questions is what I ‘do’ - how about that,” he snapped back, already growing irritable with this ‘interview.’
Silence fills the room again and all Tiberius can hear is the scratching of the boy’s pen against paper. His nose wrinkles in disdain. He hates that sound, he’s decided.
“What are your thoughts on the war between the Capulets and the Montagues, then?”
Tiberius paused, expression hardening, jaw clenching before his eyes darted up to the boy. A nerve had been struck. Not by the question itself but by the mere mentioning of the name Montague in his presence. It made his blood boil beneath his skin, made his trigger finger itch. “I don’t know why it’s still going on.” Truly, it was a fact that baffled Tiberius, and quite frankly it frustrated him, that much was clear. This was a war between families that has been able to withstand generations, and he didn’t understand why one didn’t just take the other out.  If he was boss, that’s what he would have done long ago. Now, they were resigned to a ‘ceasefire. A stalemate – and Tiberius Capulet didn’t play chess. He saw no point in giving the enemy rest in a time of peace. To him, this was the time to strike, when the defences were down. That’s how cities were conquered. The Montague family tree would be nothing but memory if he had anything to say about it, burnt to a crisp from the very roots, wiped from history completely. He’d have sent the Montagues and their allies running for the hills, driving them out of Verona forever. He’d have all of their heads, collect them like trophies to put over his fireplace. The Capulets would have had full reign.
But they don’t. Not yet anyways. “They’re a minor roadblock, The Montagues. But they’ll be paved over. Believe that.”
In-Character Para Sample: We do require one in-character para sample. Again, write as much or as little as you need to get your interpretation across.
( A/N: i took the liberty of making my para sample from the last #diveronatask prompt about detailing the character’s most depraved state, a time when they really felt part of the mob + showcasing the kinds of things tybalt had to do to rise in the ranks. so tw: blood, tw: murder, tw: vomit )
“Your body, your responsibility.”
It was the only thing young Tiberius Capulet could hear. Those stone cold words of his uncle, ringing in his ears louder than any toll bell now as he dragged the rolled up black tarpe down the alleyway, hands slipping, shaking. Whether it was from anticipation or anxiousness, to this day the boy would never know.
Kicking open the back door to the macelleria, Tiberius was hit with the aroma first. The savory salt of cured meats. He certainly would have come here for some thinly sliced prosciutto on a typical day, it was the best in the entire city. But God, after this? The seventeen year old probably would never be able to eat sausage, maybe not even a meatball, much less look at them the same way again. Perhaps the vegetarians were onto something…
“You want another assignment, Tiberius, you got it, he said. You’ll enjoy it, he said.”
But Tiberius had a feeling he wasn’t going to enjoy this at all.
Giuseppe Picari was 215 pounds of rat. He was an informant, a sneak, leaking precious information to sources that sought to take the Capulets down. The kill had been fun, for lack of a word more appropriate. Easy. Drawn out and agonizing – a death deserving of a traitor. It brought the Capulet soldier nothing but utter glee to deliver it, dish out his signature brand of cutthroat justice. The lights leaving his eyes could only be compared to the way the sun gave way to the horizon. He delighted in those final breaths, sucked from panicked lungs to fan across his cheeks. Tiberius was the decider. He was Death, personified. The last thing anyone would see before he cast them to Hell with the Capulets regards.
But the hand of his god had graced his shoulder, eyes telling him that he trusted him. They believed that he, and no one else, could carry out such a task for him next. Tiberius would never let down his uncle, he couldn’t. He’s killed for him, destroyed for him and his kingdom, for their family. The boy was already resigned to the idea that Cosimo Capulet was the man he was going to Hell for.
“Take care of it,” his uncle had ordered, leaving not an ounce of room for protest.
“How,” he remembered himself naively asking in response.
“Clever boy,” the older man ran a hand through Tiberius’ dark locks, fingers gripping at the back of his neck, firmly, “You’ll figure it out.”
But that was the thing about Tiberius – he made messes. He was never made to clean them up.
He fired up the bandsaw then, watching as the blade readied itself, Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallowed thickly. It was thin, vibrating with a buzz that eerily filled the entire emptied shop. He found a smock then, bright blue and rubbery in material. He shed his jacket and slipped the garment over his head, tying it behind his back before he was rolling the tarpe back out. And there Picari was – lifeless, the angriest red marks at his neck the only evidence of his fight for life as wire sliced into his flesh. Tiberius stared at his work for a long moment before his eyes flitted over to the clock – 3:17. It was three in the morning and with the early meat shipment, he needed to make this quick.
He decided to start with the ‘DNA limbs’. Hands and feet – for prints and nails. Head – for teeth and hair. The rest didn’t matter much, Tiberius reasoned. You couldn’t ID a man by what his innards looked like. And with that, the boy was raising the man’s leg to the small belt, easing his ankle towards the blade. As flesh connected with metal, Tiberius will never admit he closed his eyes that first time, even flinched, feeling the backsplash against his arms, seeing the crimson of blood as it splattered onto him. He’s shot men down, maimed and cut them down by his knife – but never before had he felt so dirty, sawing a man in chunks like pork to be packaged and sold.
His pride tasted like bile as he swallowed it back down his throat.
Clean. The cut was clean, right through flesh and bone with precision. A slice any butcher would have been proud of. The severed foot fell to the ground before Tiberius’ widened eyes.
Not now. You can’t do this now, Uncle needs you. Needs you.
His frozen form went back into action not out of want, but out of necessity. The boy gritted his teeth and continued the process for the other foot, for both hands…and lastly the head. He dropped them all into gym bags, filling them the rest of the way with bricks. He intended to drive right up to the divide, Castelvecchio Bridge, and toss them right off, let them sink to the shadowy depths of the river to be forgotten forever.
He watched as that final bag, carrying Picari’s head, began to drift into the dark waters. And when Tiberius couldn’t see it any longer, he felt like he was finally alone, not being watched by anyone anymore. Himself, the silence of the night, and the reality of his foul deed was all that remained.
It was then that his hands gripped helplessly to the side of the bridge, stomach contracting with such a violence he hardly had the time to pitch forward, the contents of his stomach coming up and splashing into the water below. The boy heaved again, his tongue tasting like acid as he wiped his mouth roughly with the back of his hand. Eyes watering slightly, throat feeling raw, Tiberius vowed to himself that he would forget this part. That he would remember the boy who took on a man’s job and executed his task with nothing but undaunted confidence, recount the story of the boy who looked in the face of death and tore it apart with his claws in the way that only the Tiger of Verona knew how.
The boy knew one thing after that night, though – that it became easier the second time around. And the third. And the fourth.
EXTRAS:  If you have anything else you’d like to include (further headcanons, an inspo tag, a mock blog, etc), feel free to share it here!
HERE is my inspo tag for Tybalt on my blog.
CHARACTER ALIGNMENT
CHAOTIC EVIL – A chaotic evil character does whatever his greed, hatred, and lust for destruction drive him to do. He is hot-tempered, vicious, arbitrarily violent, and unpredictable.
Chaotic evil characters trust no one, and see everyone and everything as either obstacles to be overcome, or pawns to be manipulated. a chaotic evil character feels that the only way individuals get ahead is by causing others to fall behind.
Chaotic evil characters are motivated by the desire for personal gain and pleasure. They see absolutely nothing wrong with taking whatever they want by whatever means possible. Laws and governments are the tools of weaklings unable to fend for themselves. The strong have the right to take what they want, and the weak are there to be exploited.
A chaotic evil character never feels compelled to keep his word. He will attack and kill an unarmed foe (those are the best kind). He will kill an innocent. He will use torture to extract information and for pleasure. He will kill for pleasure. A chaotic evil character will use poison. He will not help those in need. He prefers to work alone, as he values his freedom. He does not respond well to higher authority, is distrustful of organizations, and will disregard the law in pursuing his self-interest. He will betray a family member, comrade, or friend whenever it is convenient to do so. Chaotic evil characters do not respect the concepts of self-discipline and honor, because they believe such concepts limit their ability to gain power over others.
TEMPERAMENT
CHOLERIC –
Extroverted, unemotional and task-oriented
Key Strengths: Takes the lead, hard worker, strong-willed, practical, passionate, a good repossession worker, an excellent strongman/woman of the team (drill sergeant at the most extreme), determined, goal-oriented and thrives under criticism.
Key Weaknesses: Hot-tempered, rude, rebellious, can be cruel, stubborn, harsh, bossy, expects complete devotion, insensitive, often condescending, can become psychotic in overbearing situations, workaholic, without compassion or conscience, can be a warmonger, vindictive, a shallow cynic of people’s character, most likely a bad winner/loser, and may nastily misinterpret jokes.
CHARACTER TROPES + HEADCANONS
BLOOD KNIGHT //  “Fighting is everything to the Blood Knight. He lives for it. It’s not so much about winning or losing, morality, the motives of his allies, or even the glory, that drives this guy so much as it is the opportunity for a good fight.” If there’s anyone who gets a thrill out of a fight, it’s Tybalt. Violence might not be the answer, but it will be his answer. Much like the war god, Ares himself, Tybalt is everything untamed and destructive, and the streets of Verona are his battlefield. He forged a reputation that had people running for the hills when they knew the Capulets were looking for them. It came to a point when the boy hoped and prayed that deals would fall through, that money would come up short just so he could take a bat to someone’s skull, or a knife to their throat or a bullet to their brain. Tiberius was a thug, a brute running on nothing but adrenaline and fury, and he made sure no one made the fatal mistake of forgetting that. But his love for the fight wasn’t something newly discovered, he was born with his blood boiling, with a war-ready spirit, it’s what made Tiberius a star pupil when he learned martial arts. Like many kids, he started with karate. As he grew up, he moved into more varied techniques, welding his body, quite literally, into the weapon he knew he was. (his favorite styles are muay thai and kali, the latter of which is a weapons based combat technique). He’s always strapped, whether a gun at his waist, a knife tucked in his boot, but he’s never caught without something to defend himself. Though, he’s incredibly resourceful, and can likely find something to cause harm, regardless.
COMBAT PRAGMATIST // “The Combat Pragmatist is a character who is defined by his or her willingness to do anything in a fight to win. He is an unsympathetic character (usually the main antagonist) who shows through his ruthlessness that he honors nothing — not his opponents, not the sport and its customs, not the tournament’s sacred history — but winning.” An expert marksman, a smug fighter, very much used to his victories, Tybalt doesn’t take loss well, so he ensures his wins by any means necessary. He’s underhanded and unscrupulous, never one to believe in a truly fair fight. He is an opportunist, a shrewd fighter and fought as dirtily as they came. He knows how to spot weakness and had no qualms with exploiting it. To him, there are winners and there are losers, and he’s a winner - but he’ll be damned if he doesn’t enjoy his win every step, every swing and every shot along the way.
HAIR TRIGGER TEMPER // “A character with a hair-trigger temper flies into a rage at the slightest provocation. They react explosively to the slightest annoyance. Characters with a hair-trigger temper can be set off by anything. This makes them far less predictable — and far more dangerous.“ Tybalt is a man capable of extreme violence and blinding rage when provoked. His temper is practically legendary in the streets of Verona, and can be triggered in split seconds, oftentimes by minor things. He can go from cool, calm and collected right into angry and borderline psychotic in his actions like the flip of a coin. He’s impulsive. He’s reactive, uninhibited by second guessing and overthinking, fully prepared to throw himself into any and everything, disregarding the risks and possible repercussions of his actions - which of course gets him into a lot of trouble. In school, he was always the kid in a fight, waking up each day prepared to get into it with somebody, always stirring the pot, looking to get a rise out of others, returning home with bloody fists and a bloody face for his cousins or his aunt to clean up because his impulses couldn’t stop him. It’s what led to his expulsion from his Catholic school and the eventual decision to have him placed into military school. They hoped to diminish his fire – but if anything, it amplified.
THE RESENTER // “There’s one thing any Resenter can certainly agree on: Whoever it is that chooses The Chosen One has clearly chosen the wrong one. The grapes are just out of reach, and that makes them all the more sour.” Tybalt is a resenter if there ever was one. From his birth, he’s convinced fate has had it all wrong. He was born to Lady Capulet’s brother, and while she was a beloved aunt and Capulet was a beloved and revered uncle to Tybalt, the fact still remained that he wasn’t their son, meaning that as far as the ‘throne’ was concerned, he would never be the next in line. Juliana, her father’s chosen one, doesn’t even seem to want the position as the Boss, which irks Tybalt to his very core despite how much he loves his cousin. How could someone with the power right at their fingertips be so ungrateful? Tybalt knows if he’s given the chance, he could do far better, take the Capulet name to new and feared heights if he was just allowed.
EVEN EVIL HAS LOVED ONES // “Being evil doesn’t always mean hatred and negativity 24/7. Even evil characters (and real people) can find someone to love.” While Tybalt is absolutely capable of monstrous things, he is capable of love too. It’s a harsh love, but it exists. And he holds it for his family – Cosimo, his aunt, and his cousins, Rafaella and Juliana. His love for them manifests itself in his undying loyalty to them. From he was young, he lived with his cousin, and looks at his aunt and uncle like a second set of parents, being that both of his birth parents are now dead. He idolized them as the Olympian gods they were. He wanted to be everything they were, wanted to take on every single thing they stood for because he was a Capulet too. He looks at Rafaella and Juliana like sisters, and he is their brother – older, more experienced, and meant to protect them. He will fight for them. He will die for them if he has to.
Honorable Mention Tropes: Murder Is the Best Solution, Berserk Button, The Casanova, The Unfettered

❝ HELL IS EMPTY AND ALL THE DEVILS ARE HERE.❞                                                                                                       - William Shakespeare
                                                         ♛♛♛
( LUMOS & NOX )
Deep within the bowels of Europe, there sits a man with eyes like a wildfire and a fractured heart sheathed in ice. He had a name once, in a distant, disjointed past that scorches his tongue and sears his mind to think about. He had no mother to murmur sweet lullabies to him as a child, and many have often thought his isolation and unfortunate circumstances brought about the downfall of his soul and, by extension, civilization. He lurks in the darkness, collecting followers like tokens. He showers those who are loyal with approval, and punishes those who do not meet his expectations of unfailing loyalty. In the dark crevices of Europe, he lurks, waiting for the weakness of his foes to become terminal, so that he may drag their decaying body of resistance up by the roots and tear their rebellious ignorance away. His reign has started, and the Dark Lord refuses to rest until a crown of ivory and bone has been placed atop his head.
                                                                      ⚔ ⚔ ⚔
In the shadows, rebellion and resistance forms. It opens its wide, uncertain eyes, fresh and new as an infant. A boy shoved into manhood has become their beacon in a world immersed in darkness; a jagged scar in the shape of a lightning bolt their symbol of strength and perseverance. Though their power is dwindling, their numbers surely grow as the desperation of the Wizarding World reaches an all-time high. All across the globe, magical folk are gathering their wands and minds in a joint unity. Though their organization is by no means as ancient or organized as the dark hand of Death that so sweetly hovers over them, they have hopes of succeeding and overthrowing that which has oppressed and blinded them for so long. The time is now, and the world waits with bated breath in the hopes that their precious Chosen One will shatter darkness at his feet and rip the throne of death and decay from its present master’s feet.                                            Death and destruction are upon us.                                          Which side of history will you be on?
( EVERY END IS A NEW BEGINNING )
A brand new, canon divergent storyline following the Golden Trio and the newly expansive Wizarding World and its corresponding second war is on the way. You’ve never seen the Chosen One’s story this dark before; and now, Harry Potter’s beloved Wizard World will involve dynamic characters from a wide variety of culture and backgrounds, both canonically known and entirely original. In upcoming teasers and infographics, expect to learn the following: the group’s name, a link to the main, a themed playlist for the group, teaser introductions for important characters, and more.
So, how to keep up with this up and coming dark, mature Harry Potter RPG? Make sure to like and/or reblog this post, follow and post in the talk tag (iabtalk), and await the next teaser to be published there. Until the main is released, all future teasers will be published onto this account (narcissaxwrites).
A few things to keep an eye out for regarding this new group:
• we are a literate group, driven both by character development and steady plot progression • expect to find both friendly and new faces among our cast • heartily welcoming of all forms of diversity
                                                  darkness is just the beginning
MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW AND POST IN THE NEW TALK TAG FOR ALL UPDATES CONCERNING THIS GROUP.

This was recommended to me by a couple different people so I think this could help. I realize there are other guides for Indie RP’ing, but I also think each person will have different things to say and think when it comes to it. This will include a few links to other guides and credit goes to those who made those. Without further ado, this is a guide on indie roleplaying. It includes a link to my previous Petunia Evans indie for inspiration and also visual aspects. If this is useful or helpful, please like and/or reblog.
intro.
Indie roleplaying is a great alternative to 1x1 and group. Groups have time constraints and limit you on how many characters you can have, and 1x1 is you and another person which can leave you waiting for weeks. I was in Indie roleplay for over two years so I feel confident in being able to help on this subject. Indie isn’t as difficult as most would think, it’s mostly the initial set up that takes the longest.
blog.
I will always, always tell you to make a new blog. Especially if it’s your first time in the Indie world or your first time roleplaying in general. A new blog allows you to follow others and just gives you more leeway. If you don’t want to make a url adding a + and a character name at the end of your current email allows you to get around having twenty. There’s also this site that allows you enough time to confirm your account before it expires. Both are valid options. Your blog is going to be the thing that draws some in.
url.
Your URL should be simple and short. Try to avoid dashes at all costs. Try variations of the muses name. Or, if you’re MUMU (explained below)  A good rule of thumb is choose a word that describes your characters. You don’t have to stress over this, I can also give suggestions or help if you’re stuck. I used ordinaireflower when I had Petunia. Petunia’s are a flower and ordinaire is ordinary in French. You can use other languages to find a URL.
theme.
Most people in Indie used contained themes. You’re not required to use them, but they’re cleaner. Any simple theme would work. Avoid headers or themes primarily used for RPH’s/RP’s. Popups, which are a link that you click for a box with info in it pop up have mostly disappeared. I still adore them, they’re totally an opinion but definitely not mobile friendly because then you have to make extra pages for those on mobile. Your theme should be clean and have a color scheme that isn’t too bright or too dark. Make sure your font size is 11px or bigger.
muse(s).
Are you gonna be a MUMU or single? A multi-muse Indie is when you have numerous muses on one blog. They don’t have to be from the same fandom and they can be original characters. People separate them by using different tags, ex; if I had Petunia and Lily on one blog I’d tag Petunia’s threads as ( petunia: thread. ) or ( thread for petunia. ) Your tags are up to you and that will be explained more thoroughly below. I’ve seen some MUMU blogs with twenty plus muses and MUMU’s with just two, it’s completely up to you. Original characters fall under this category as well.
rules.
Now, the not fun stuff. Are you going to be selective in who you write with Are you going to be private, meaning mutuals only? Are you going to be to be exclusive, meaning you’ll only RP with one version of a muse? Your rules should also include godmodding, if you’re multiship (meaning you’ll ship with numerous different characters, but they’re not connected at all.), multi-verse (meaning you have different times of your characters life you’ll roleplay) You can include some info about yourself, definitely include your age because of NSFW topics, and mention things about your muse.
navigation.
While a navigation isn’t required, it’s recommended. This will be where people can locate your rules, about your muse, ask memes, etc. You can put various things on your navigation, music links, photo tag, etc. Keep it clean and simple.
faceclaims.
POC faceclaims should be used whenever possible. The Indie community can be quite.. white. Most use icons or gif icons so make sure you know how to make them, have someone who can make them or that your faceclaim has enough of those. Most roleplay from various ages so having different aged faceclaims is a good idea. Make sure their ethnicity matches for each one.
formatting/writing.
I won’t go super deep into formatting because there’s a link here that has numerous guides on formatting. However, most use one-liners and paras, some use novellas (longer than a paragraph, typically four+ paras). From what I’ve seen, most don’t use script because your icon should convey the emotion and what not. You can use blockquote, bold, italics, spaces, etc.
visuals.
Promo graphic. You will need a promo graphic. It’s normally a 500x300 graphic with a png of your faceclaim, your url and then stating you’re an independent blog with your characters name or stating you’re a MUMU or original character. Visuals also covers if you’ll be using icons, gif icons or a combination of both. You can also choose a background for your theme.
terms/tags.
There are some terms and tags you need to know and keep in mind. Tags will be indie rp, indie rpg, independent rp, and then there are fandom indie tags. If you’re Harry Potter there’s hp indie rp or harry potter indie rp or indie hprp. If you’re Supernatural, there’s supernatural indie rp and more. Terms are below.
Exclusive - You will only roleplay with one version of a muse. Selective - Means you will not always RP or follow people back. Highly selective - You’re more than selective but less than private, you’re highly selective in your choices of RP partners. Private - You’re mutuals only, meaning you must be following them and them you for you to RP with them.
credit.
Make sure to always credit those for any images, themes, etc you use for your blog. A couple good blogs to follow that help with Indie RPing are dear-indies and helpersofindie. I probably would have been lost without them when I was first getting the hang of it.
ending notes.
Indie is meant to be fun and not stressful. Do not stress yourself out with getting the hang of it, you can always take a break. My old Indie is located here. You can use it for inspiration or copy the rules and work them for your muse. I hope this helped and if you need more info, I’m here!!
