My hypothesis, which is unsubstantiated by anything but personal experience, is that some (many? most?) women with sex dysphoria who benefit from medical intervention have PMDD or similar hormonal wonkiness, which is why shutting down their body's natural estrogen production improves their mental health.
This has nothing to do with gender roles aside from how the hormone-caused mental distress is expressed, but it does mean that Lupron, bilateral oophorectomy, etc. can help. I think that's really interesting and I wish there was research done into this topic.

Now that I've got your attention (people stop scrolling for a poll), I am making this post on behalf of Nader @abdalsalam1990, as I have a large following which could help it get traction. This campaign has been vetted! (#4 on the list)
Nader is 17 years old and his family is in Gaza facing dire circumstances. Food is scarce, prices are high, and there are shortages in water. They, like countless others suffering during this war, have already had to relocate many times, and their home is destroyed. They do not have enough money to safely relocate right now, or a stable source of income, as places of work have been destroyed.
Any amount of money can help Nader and his family escape this destruction.
This campaign currently has (as of the time I write this post) €11,540 out of €50,000 raised, with 627 donations. I have donated myself and I know a lot of my followers can afford to donate at least something. It's not a hard donation process, so I hope you take a moment of your day to show some support.

A Plea for Hope: The Struggle for Survival of Ibrahim's Family
✅️Vetted by @gazavetters, my number verified on the list is ( #220 )✅️
Tumblr media
I'm Ibrahim Almughanni. I once dreamed of a peaceful, prosperous future for my family, but those dreams were shattered by the unrelenting horrors of war.
I am married to Soha Fouad and I have 3 children :
Toleen, who is 9 years old
Wateen, who is 6
and Tayseer, who is just 4.
The Day Our Lives Shattered
I remember the day vividly—explosions began in the distance, growing into a deafening roar. Smoke and fear engulfed us as we watched our neighbors flee in terror. We grabbed our children and ran, pushing through a sea of panic until we could run no more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finding Refuge Amid Desperation
We found temporary shelter in a classroom turned into a makeshift refuge. The walls were bare, the air thick with fear. Surrounded by other displaced families, we shared a profound sense of loss.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Heavy Burden of Loss
I lost my home—my sanctuary—now reduced to rubble. My workshop, where I built my life as a blacksmith, was completely destroyed. I lost not only my tools and savings but also my livelihood. The deepest wound is the loss of hope: the hope that my children could thrive, free from fear.
Tumblr media
Daily Struggles for Survival
We are caught in a cycle of survival. Food is scarce, and basic necessities are out of reach. In our overcrowded shelter, we cling to each other for comfort. The worry and fear in my family’s eyes are constant reminders of our daily struggle.
Tumblr media
A Heartfelt Call for Help
We need your help to provide basic necessities and safety for our family. Every dollar you donate is a vital lifeline—a warm meal, a respite from hunger, a step towards rebuilding our lives.
Tumblr media
The Power of Your Support
My story is one of loss and survival, but also of hope. With your support, we can start rebuilding and find a way out of this darkness.

Ola is a Mathematics teacher and a graduate student in north Gaza. She was studying at Al-Azhar University and teaching at a school when the occupation attacked. Her home, workplace, and university were all destroyed, leaving her without a house or a way to support her family.
Following the destruction of their home by the IOF, Ola and her family were displaced to a shelter. Repeated bombing attacks have forced them to flee multiple times since then. They are currently still in north Gaza, where food and other basic necessities are extremely scarce.
The price of food in north Gaza is extremely high, and Ola and her family are starving. She is trying to raise money so that she and her family can afford food and water. They want to stay in north Gaza and hope to rebuild their lives there one day, but they are struggling to survive.
You can directly help a Gazan family survive famine and genocide by contributing to Ola’s campaign, and reposting the link (https://gofund.me/89e42c74) on your social media accounts.
Thank you
Ola is verified by @suad-ahmad

While the world is busy enjoying summer vacations and the freedom and safety that come with it, the people of Gaza, especially in the northern region, are living a daily nightmare. Continuous bombings have brought devastation to their homes, forcing them to live among the rubble. Water and food have become scarce, and standing in long lines for the basics of life has become a part of their daily routine.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With each new sunrise, their suffering increases, but so does their hope for a better tomorrow. They face unimaginable hardships with courage, but they need our support. This is why I have created a donation link to help my family escape this hell.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you can't donate, you can still help by sharing this post. Every share brings us one step closer to securing safety for my family and changing their grim reality.
Thank you for your support and solidarity. Together, we can bring hope to those who need it most.
Please share this post to help raise funds and save my family.

Instead of getting ready for Eid festivities like they used to every year, my friend Bilal's family are still living in a makeshift tent in this sweltering heat, striving to secure the inadequate amount of food and water they can hardly come by. Since October, Israel has imposed a tight siege on Gaza, severely limiting the flow of life-saving essential food and medical items. Now, with the seizure of the Rafah crossing border which has been closed since May 7, the situation is worse than ever. Vital goods are scarce in the markets, and when they are available they're sold at exorbitant prices.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bilal's family had to leave Rafah and go to Khan Yunis again to escape the recent massacres. It is now harder for them to provide basic needs for themselves and the children including the three newborns. The little water they manage to obtain with great difficulty is often polluted and salty. It's not even suitable for cooking regular meals for adults, let alone prepare baby bottles for three newborns if ever formula is accessible.
Tumblr media
Every single day is a struggle for survival for Bilal's family. Their lives are constantly threatened by acute malnutrition, infectious diseases, and indiscriminate bombing. Your support has truly made a difference, but it is now needed more urgently, as the situation is getting more dire.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Please help Bilal keep them as safe as possible until the border reopens and they are hopefully able to evacuate.
It would mean the world to them if you donated or reblogged.

This is Suad Ahmad. You can read her full story here.
Tumblr media
Suad is a successful engineer and professor from Gaza. On top of her professional accomplishments, Suad found out she is pregnant. Sadly, a week later, the occupation began bombing Gaza and planning an invasion.
Suad’s home and workplace were destroyed, and she and her husband’s family were displaced. While living in a cramped tent and subjected to the elements, Suad became extremely sick with gastroenteritis, a dangerous condition during pregnancy. Food is scarce, and they are all suffering malnourishment.
Suad’s due date is coming very soon, and she wants her baby to have a better life than the one she’s living now. She is trying to evacuate to Egypt, where she and her family will be safer and healthier.
The campaign has been open for several weeks, but has received almost no support. We are trying to get Suad and her family evacuated before she gives birth, so we have only a few weeks left. Please help give Suad and her family a better future. If you cannot give, please reblog this post and repost the link across all of your social media accounts.
Thank you

mohammed is pleading with me not to leave him. please do not leave him either. by the grace of god they've been able to find a place to stay but rent is exorbiant, food is scarce and mariam is PREGNANT- i do not want to imagine what will happen to my friends if they have to go back to living in a tent, or in the streets. but make no mistake, an apartment is no safety from israels bombing either. all it means is shelter from the elements and a clean place for a pregnant woman. not safety.
with your amazing help their child has already been able to get much needed surgery ! please please please, i am begging please keep helping them. they need this money to SURVIVE

even €5 mean the world. i am begging you not to leave my friend. be brave with me and help them.

in one of the most densely populated places in the world, housing has become a critically scarce resource as the sadistic colonial forces pursue a strategy of domicide — "the deliberate and systematic destruction of living spaces, targeting intimate places of residence so that any form of stability, physical or emotional, is replaced with a feeling of constant flux."
Nine out of ten people in Gaza are now internally displaced, including @mohammedhaboubsblog's family. I started talking to Mohammed earlier this month after his twin sister Farah was injured in the Al-Tabaeen school massacre on August 10th. Their family's campaign was vetted by 90-ghost here.
They're currently being charged astronomically high rent to keep a roof over their heads as Farah recovers. Their landlord is threatening eviction tomorrow if they don't raise the remaining $763 for September's rent in time:
Tumblr media
It would be disastrous for Farah to be displaced and homeless again while her injuries are still healing. If you can spare any amount to help this family, they need our support urgently. If you can't donate please show your solidarity by sharing widely.
Please note the conversion rate! This campaign is in Swedish krona. $5 USD = kr52 SEK

We, the residents of Gaza, are living a daily nightmare of bombings, killings, random shelling, and starvation. The continuous bombardment has brought destruction to our homes, forcing us to live among the rubble and in tents. Water and food have become scarce, and we have to walk long distances every day to get water, exposing ourselves to the risk of disease from severe pollution or death from random shelling. Our tents have no air conditioning and are extremely hot in this summer weather. Everywhere around us, the Israeli occupation forces continue their bombing and aggression.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With each new day, our suffering increases, but our hopes for a better tomorrow remain alive. That is why I have created a donation link to help us escape this miserable life. With your help, we can register all my family members and leave together without worrying about leaving anyone behind in Gaza. We kindly ask you to share this fundraising campaign.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I believe that every donation, no matter how small, can make a difference and help alleviate my family’s suffering by giving them a new chance at life and restoring the hopes and dreams we were forced to abandon. I would be sincerely grateful for any kind of support, whether through donations or simply by sharing the fundraising campaign link with your friends and family and as widely as possible within your social networks.

We are all deeply grateful and honored and will never forget your kindness during our difficult times. Thank you.

Art by @rozenn-blog
Summary:
“Why him?”
Lucifer crosses his arms over his stomach, hands clasping onto opposite elbows; a simulation of the hug he so desperately needs.
There’s a lot he can say here.
Like how Alastor makes his hopeless heart flutter with the belief that maybe dreams are still possible; that Alastor makes him feel something, anything, everything all at once, and it is as heavenly as it is torturous.
But all he can manage, in a voice so small he can scarcely believe it's his own, is, “He makes me laugh.”

Hello guys
I am Rozan Ayman Fathi, 24 years old
I ask you to read these lines and help me so that I can save my family
Consisting of 7 individuals
I live with my beloved family in the Gaza Strip, specifically in Gaza City. When the war began, we were displaced from our dear home and dearest to my heart to tents in the city of Rafah (we do not know whether it is still standing or whether it was demolished by bombings and shelling). We were always moving from one shelter to another seeking shelter. For protection, and when Rafah was invaded, we were displaced and moved again to tents in Mawasi Khan Yunis. We were very tired, especially my mother, as she is sick with diabetes and gallstones.
Life in a tent is torment, pain, and oppression, a life without the minimum necessities of life, where there is no bedding, no flooring, sand surrounds you from all sides, no sanitary facilities, no water, whether for bathing or cleaning, and no drinking water. There are no detergents. Canned food is scarce and of poor quality
We miss fresh food,
Very high temperatures inside and outside the tent
The spread of dangerous infectious diseases, insects, toxic organisms, and other difficult matters of life, in addition to the danger of bombing and death that lurks around us every minute..

"I am reaching out to you today to support my family, who are enduring unbearable conditions in Gaza. The relentless bombing has destroyed our homes, forcing us to live in tents under the scorching summer heat. Life has become incredibly difficult, and the tragedy deepens with each passing day. 😣
We are suffering from a severe shortage of food and water, with no means to secure our daily needs. The children go to bed hungry, and we don't know what hope we can offer them for tomorrow. Medicine is scarce, and reaching hospitals or health centers has become nearly impossible due to the destruction of roads and the lack of safe transportation.
We are living in a small, overcrowded tent that lacks even the most basic necessities. The heat is unbearable, and the situation worsens every day. But despite all this, we hold onto hope and believe that there are those who will hear our cries.
I am asking for your help to share our story and support us in any way possible. Your donation or even just sharing this story could help us obtain the food, water, and medicine we so desperately need, and perhaps even a chance to live in more humane conditions. 🙏
Thank you to everyone who extends a helping hand during these difficult times. Your support is the ray of hope that we cling to."🥹🙏

🍉I am Mahmoud Ayyad, a Palestinian from the besieged and destroyed Gaza 😭😭, coming from an extended family of young children, women and elderly people ❤❤ who have been suffering😭😭 for 300 difficult days from an aggressive war.
Our lives are harsh because we lack all the basic necessities of life. Everything has become scarce and unattainable. There is no food, no water, no medicine.
