Hey guys I'm curious. If your book (in-progress) became a movie, what would the main theme song be? Tag your author friends too if you'd like!

I'll tag @artistefish because I'd love to know what song you'd use for Ravens' Abbey!

I've always associated Hywel and the Mermaid with "Man's Road" by America, but obv that's a song for an existing movie, and I doubt America would be active if the time came for a movie. Honestly I'd prob just go for a song by the Oh Hellos or possibly Yaelokre, for something up-and-coming.

Hywel and the Griffin's Feather would have "The Longing" by Patty Gurdy as a theme for sure.

Lonely Jim and the Myth-Protectors would use "Home" by Dotan.

Anita and the Werewolf would use "Born to Die" by Lana Del Rey.

Nico and the Manhattan Manticore would use "Stranger in Moscow" by Michael Jackson (although Nico is Italian and not Russian. The song just matches teen Nico's vibe. "No Church in the Wild" would also work).

Stella and the Skriker would use another Lana song, "Diet Mountain Dew".

Haven't decided for Laia and the Andorran Fae yet, but for Axel Evans, I can see the film opening up with "Feel Good Inc." by Gorillaz.

Summary: At the request of the Nie, Lan Xichen and Lan Wangji investigate allegations about murders in a brothel in Qishan. Lan Wangji meets Yiling Laozu, and everyone discovers very quickly that murders at a brothel are the very least of what is happening.

Started out as an homage to Kushiel's Legacy and ended with a war.

Fully written, fully edited, chapters coming weekly—maybe biweekly, if I'm feeling particularly spicy.

I PROMISE WE ARE NOT DONE WITH IT 😭😭😭😭 i know it has been So Long but it has been a while since our schedules have aligned because i have school full-time and my co-author has a job… i am hoping to get back into the swing of it this summer but i probably still wont be cranking things out much because i’m gonna be taking two classes AND doing an internship ✌️🥴 it’s gonna suck!!!

BUT we definitely have it planned all te way through fallout. we have a very extensive outline of the whole series and a working timeline going! we know exactly what is going to happen in each fic it’s just a matter of… finding the time to write the chapters 💀
