[12:48 PM update on this-] I checked on the official Konami Ore'n website and IT'S FREAKING OPENED SERVICE TO PLAY AS OF TODAY (April 15th 2024)?!?!?!

Had just clicked on the 'Start Game Link' with the iOS/Android/PC on it and it sent me to the game link, so it's more of a web game instead of normal install progress- Didn't went further than the loading screen since I wanna try out once I got a some time to try it out, but AAAAAAAAAAA!!!

holy moly dude i genuinely cant believe this existed here.. i thought it was like rlly obscure stuff.. i played this game like almost nonstop after like grinding a bit and getting jackpots on those fish shooting games on my offdays lol rlly love this game

I love when music tells a story I will happily go insane for it.

I'm listening to Dante's themes and am now struck by what the music alone says about him. The verse in Watcher of the Evil Sea Dante's theme sounds hesitant, distanced, Dante is an aloof lad. But then! The pre-chorus! The strings arrangement quotes his family's theme in such a way like something carefully wrapping him. And finally that same theme takes center stage in the chorus, played by the same acoustic guitar as the verse, filled with determination. This is also the same portion used as intro, so the repetition also works as if he's reminding himself of his raison d'etre.

Ice Swordsman Dante's theme carries the same motifs, but it spends more time repeating the melody from the verse, as if he's stuck and just going through the motions. Even when the pre-chorus finally plays (by the acoustic guitar, no less) the song doesn't go into the same chorus and instead returns to the verse's melody again. There is something important that still exists somewhere in him, but hidden under layers of ice. This arrangement also has more electronic elements, further emphasizing how off is the coldness expressed here.

It's just such a good use of leitmotifs all around.

Okay, bit of story time!

Sooo, two days ago from today, I decided to buy the first manga volume of Oreca Battle that's being sold by a vendor online. It's a secondhand product, but it's still something rare to see, like- How come did this didn't get any attention!?!?! I actually first know of this at 22nd of this month, obviously panicked and go to DC to tell N41R what I discoved there so there's double the panic than before as a result. Timeskip to today, the manga arrived to my doorsteps and here-

I still can't calm myself down on how I actually got the manga, especially since it's only available in Japanese as far as I know of. Heck, even pacing around or idea typing doesn't help much to calm myself down. If my reactions can be combined into one, it'll be something like this:

Aaaaaaaa, it's shocking, full-on awe, anxious, all mixed into one!!! Gonna be reading this with N41R soon, I'm way too nervous on reading the manga alone since it's way too important to just read it by myself. Thanks a lot on reading this post of me ramble on and on about this happening when I first found out, which led to this point- (T^T)
