Guys I Wanna Use More (w/ ways to plot with them!)

Elysia

She's one of my sea slug trolls, the Sagosa line!! As such her 'hair' is actually fleshy cerata like a sea slug. She's very peppy and upbeat and currently works at Vapore's smoothie bar as a waitress. It's an outdoor location by the beach and she's usually on rollerskates.

It's the best place to find her!! While you're there, if it's slow, you might be able to chat with her. It's polite not to flirt while she's working though--unless you're a hot butch lesbian, then she doesn't mind. Not at all

Lesath

Based loosely on the unkillable giant crocodile SCP as well as capybaras, Lesath has worked for the Fleet ever since they yoinked him as a kid and he's just resigned to it now. He's got an uncanny knack for not dying--he's not immortal or anything, just really hard to kill.

As such, he's usually assigned to dangerous tasks like guarding scary prisoners or anything with too much accident hazard for a normal guy to take the job. Right now he spends a lot of his time with Commander Mantle, working with Fleet employed psions, but it's always possible that he gets reassigned for a time to work with other officers/ships.

Maasco

This country dogboy is a shepherd and livestock guardian guy. He doesn't really have much going on besides living out in the country and caring for his flock, but he could always use some company that's not a sheep...

Orcinus

Orci is a pretty straightforward guy. He's a heirkiller, he kills fuchsia heirs that don't align with his rebel group's radical rebellious ideology. He's in incredible need of someone who can get him to loosen up and enjoy life outside of his work every once in a while. Or we can write toxic yaoi. The possibilities are endless

Xylova

Oh Xylova... This guy needs a total rehaul after his previous plots fell through. He's based on Xylitol Nova Cookie from Cookie Run Ovenbreak. He's part of a population of trolls that crash landed on a strange alien planet millennia ago at the dawn of Alternian space expansion and were never rescued. Now, they have a whole civilization that has somehow managed to avoid direct colonial reconnection with their homeworld.

Unlike Alternians, trolls of all blood colors from this planet have gills to filter out toxic heavy metal fumes from the air and require a mineral-rich diet since their planet is almost entirely metal. Additionally, there's not much of a hemospectrum system, since really only red - pink - purple - blue colors exist and the way their civilization started wasn't exactly conducive to systematic hierarchy--if they didn't all work together they probably would have all died lol.

Plotting with him would require a large undertaking in me basically remaking his entire planet, but you could have a guy on it too if you want!

Erraizi

Lastly, on the topic of aliens-- not exactly a troll, Erraizi is one of my OTHER aliens!! They live on the planet Adehiiri. It was invaded by Alternia a few decades ago, but there's very minimal colonial presence due to how challenging it is to actually build on the planet's surface. Adehiiri is characterized by very strong magnetic fields that generate giant, miles-deep cavern systems where in some places the surface is only a few feet deep. The arran'roa, the native sapient species, can manipulate these magnetic fields to float through the air in the caverns. Adehiiri does have a space port though and it IS possible to live there as a troll, provided you have a way to get around!

Some Cain backstory please?

Sure thing!

As far as his childhood goes, the only really significant thing is that he wasn't really socialized properly. He has a lot of difficulty with social interactions as a result of that, as well as feeling generally outcasted from society due to being an Evo, even though he's very civil as far Evos go and incredibly intelligent by human standards. (He was a human throughout most of his childhood and mutated somewhere in his teenage years.) He has a general interest in people as a whole as well as the medicinal field and took up surgical practice because of it. Somewhere along the line, Cain begins eating freshly deceased corpses in the morgue of the hospital he works at because there's no such thing as a lunch break when you're a surgeon. Eventually, he gets caught and is about to face persecution, until out of nowhere, he's transported to another foreign world ruled by a rather troublesome and flighty deity. He becomes friends with Sketti, a younger Evo, and they start living together. Soon after, they find an abandoned robot in the depths of a cave, and now yeehaw theyre all best friends forever.

Orcas! They’re so cool- though they aren’t actually whales. Orcas are dolphins, but they’re so big that they’re referred to as whales.

Their chunk is incredible, but only dampened by the fact that they do indeed have bones. High chunk. Orcas are iconic, look at that bold black and white patterning; Their beautiful smiles; and their incredible brains… maximum funk. From my brief research, it seems that Orcas do secrete mucous, but it’s the normal way mammals do (eyes, internal organs, etc.) so they get low gunk.

Overall Rating: 9.7/10

I’ve never had too much of an interest in orcas (it was mostly from my “not like other girls” mentality holding me back from enjoying popular things) but they’re REALLY cool. They’re so incredibly smart and their hunting patterns are amazing.

My favorite orca related fact is that the biggest predators (physically, not numerically) for the North American Moose are orca whales!!

Since Tumblr keeps eating this ask, going to try until it gets answered: Orcinus x grandfather for all: after the USJ, Izuko goes talk to Asui about the incident, and has a bad reaction to the name "shigaraki" Asui asks why, and Izuko trusts her enough to come clean, not knowing that Aoyama nad Tokoyam are overhearing the whole thing

Midoriya would literally never tell Asui because of literally this exact situation. That's what the paranoia is. You might recall that in the Akatani AU, in this situation, Midoriya debated faking his death instead of telling her anything.

I fuckin SCREAMED when I read this, I'm literally foaming at the mouth with joy. Any excuse I have to give people fun facts I will happily take! I could talk about Killer whales for literal hours so I'll keep this short!

Killer Whales (Orcinus orca) can reach an average of 23-27 feet and can weigh as much as 13,300 pounds! These guys are massive!

And contrary to popular belief you can call them Killer whales! For one, they truly are vicious hunters so its a well founded name. Secondly, That's just what their common name is and the term "Orca" is more of a slang on their scientific name. It would be like Calling a Brown Bear "Arctos" (their species) instead of just "Brown Bear".

Currently there are 10 known ecotypes of Killer whale across the world, and while they're not different species (YET) they really should be! They all have different dialects, prey preference, behavior, etc. and they don't interbreed between types!

(just 3 of the 5 types in the Northern Hemisphere. All shown live in the North Pacific)

My personal favorite is the Offshore Killer Whale because they are just the most Bad-Ass ecotype in the Pacific! These guys form groups of 20+ individuals and tend to eat fish, but what really sets them apart is that they eat SHARKS TOO! But not the entire shark! These guys are picky and tend to only eat the fins and the liver, they then leave the rest of the body for whatever swims by.

And because shark skin is so rough (and is literally made of the same things your teeth are made of) this tends to wear on the teeth of these whales and make it harder and harder to hunt as time goes on. Because of this they tend to have a shorter lifespan than the Resident or the Transient types.

I got the brain zoomies for all kinds of ideas but I was reading whale stuff and I gotta write this down somewhere

okay fun fact: Cironus' name is an anagram of Orcinus (from the latin name for killer whale Orcinus Orca because im SOOO original) Orcinus means "of the kingdom of the dead"

so like, one idea is about why his people are nomadic. Maybe there was some terrible tragedy that destroyed their kingdom. Maybe it was Gannon centuries ago or some other calamity. Either way, they've been wandering the vast oceans ever since.

The second idea is based on how orcas are a keystone species for ecosystems in the ocean. They're apex predators, they eat a variety of things and they're not against scavenging. The latter makes me think how scavengers help clean up carcasses so they don't rot and cause issues. And also could be another play on the term "Kingdom of the Dead"

and then I would like to draw this idea out eventually but A WHALE FALL and how in death they give back to the oceans they helped maintain, and the others would hold funerals before letting them sink into the depths 😭🥺

Snooty comments towards humans. I just love that sharp toothed grin on her face when she looks down on them. She's just like me.

She is excellent in identifying enemies. In just a couple of minutes she's able to figure out if someone is on our side or better off dead. The intuition of a goddess.

🥣: What is your go-to dish for making for Orcinus? (If you cook/bake.)

🌅 (sunrise) - What does [Myr]/[Tristam] look forward to every day? Do they have something to look forward to in the first place? What makes them wake up in the morning? Why do they want to be alive?

[Myr] - Before Reborn came to effectively buy her off the hands of her family under order of the Ninth, Myr's only reason to go on was the hope that things somehow would change. That her condition as disowned would eventually be shaken, one way or another. After all, Tristam would have inherited the title of Ninth Nero Signore, something had to happen at that point, right?

Her dad once told her she was capable of wonderful things nobody in the Cavalieri could have ever even imagined to do. She held onto those words for years, believing that she would have managed one way or another. She had Lidija, Anemone, the plants and the birds. The taste of stolen honey from the pantry, the smell of the gourds growing in the greenhouses she wasn't supposed to visit. Each day, the world would give her a reason not to give up. And when it didn't, she'd remind herself that she's stronger than that, than anybody. She's the strongest of all.

Now that she's in Namimori, things are changing rapidly. Food doesn't have to be earned or stolen, people look for her and call her name. It's ethereal, and she wonders if she can let herself hang onto these new things. The plants and the birds don't change, they stay in their flowerbeds and nests. But what about people?

[Tristam] - well, he's destined for greatness. That's what he's been told since the day he was born. He has a duty, he must become the next Cavalieri boss and bring the family towards a new age of prosperity, like the Fifth Nero Signore did before him.

He's feared and admired, and every day he makes new steps towards a world where that's the same for his family. For far too long the Cavalieri have stayed in the comfortable shadows, while the Vongola, the Cavallone, and the Giglio Nero feasted under the light of the sun. Why should them act different? They have the right. They have the Pallid Flame, a power made to be revered.

Every day, he dreams to be seated among them, the old and decrepit bosses of the other families, shining among them like a gem in the mud.

[Myr] - Myr doesn't want to be selfish, but as someone who was denied everything she ever wanted, there's no way she has the self-control not to let that part surface.

However, she tries. She's seen Lidija, how many times she risked getting punished for helping her simply because she wanted to, how seriously she took the job of bringing her more food and providing her with everything she needed. She admires people like that.

But Myr is a taker. She wants to be selfless because it brings praise and builds connections, but she will always need something in return. She deserves it, right? After all she was forced to endure, she deserves everything else, right?

[Tristam] - Tristam likes to reciprocate the good deeds his subordinates do for him, but ultimately only to ensure their loyalty towards him. He'd never throw his life, his royal statement of existence, for someone who wasn't even strong enough to survive on their own. It's simply not his destiny.

🍁 (maple leaf) - What brings [Myr]/[Tristam] joy? Do they find happiness in the small things? Does it take a lot to cheer them up?

[Myr] - Myr would love to pass as the one who finds joy in the little things, but what really makes her happy is being seen, heard and praised. Attention is what truly makes her know she's doing the right thing, that she's going through the right path.

Wether this path is good or bad for her matters little, as long as someone is watching her taking it. Knowing she has a duty to follow through with or someone to not let down reminds her that somewhere at the end of it all there's acceptance.

[Tristam] - Tris's joy is himself, he needs very little else. Or, that's what he thinks. He finds it easier to think that whenever there's someone else in the room. Being so intimidating, very few can stand an informal conversation with him.

And he appreciates those few who can, so much so that sometimes... he wish they'd stay there. No need to be talking, that's exhausting after a while. Just being there. He can't put it to words - someone of his caliber shouldn't need anything or anyone other than himself to find joy. His existennce should suffice him, yearning doesn't suit him.

It is only natural to wish well for those who have done me no harm... fufu.

In my knowledge... Neither of them are particularly dangerous to me. After all, the moray eel has very, very few natural predators. And, with the evolution of fish developing larger brains proportional to our size... There is not much danger that my family experiences in the depths.

As for you, a human, it goes without question that the Orcinus orca is a far, far more dangerous encounter than the Carcharodon carcharias. You must understand why the orca is dubbed Killer Whale. It greatly amuses me that you can even compare a shark to the likes of dolphin and whales— for sharks are dutiful members of our ecosystem, and the other two... are quite sinister.

I have a few questions about Cain Orcinus. Who I love btw.

What orca population would you say he's from? And is his mother and siblings aware and proud of his profession/obsession?

Thank you for the questions! 1) Cain isn't really an actual orca; he's more of an Evo, a type of creature from Generator Rex. Basically he has weird genes that caused him to mutate and although he does have a (mostly) human conscious and body, he's still somewhat ostracized by humans due to his. well. Evo nature. His orca traits definitely shine through in his personality though, such as his intelligence and his social nature. 2) Cain is bisexual with a preference for women! 3) It depends on how long they spend meeting. If Cain found out that Nevin wasn't exactly human, he would most definitely become fascinated with him and potentially obsessed with the idea of eating him. I haven't talked a lot about Cain's backstory even though I have it all written down, so some of this is most definitely confusing but. feel free to ask me more things about him :3

I love orcas so much and seeing them labeled "killer whales" in this bracket is really disheartening. Would you be willing to change them to their proper name for the rest of the bracket as they move on?

Hey anon! I too love orcas, but killer whale is a perfectly acceptable common name for them! It's actually more commonly used than orca in the scientific community.

Though they are indeed a type of dolphin, all dolphins belong to a group called toothed whales, meaning the whale part of the name is correct.

As for 'killer', well... they're fantastic at killing things! Killer whales employ an enormous variety of hunting strategies and can take on almost anything in the ocean, from a great white shark to a blue whale. I see the name as honoring what skilled hunters they are, especially since the name killer whale is a mistranslation of a Basque whaler term for whale-killer.

You may think orca sounds friendlier than killer whale, but the term orca (and their scientific name, Orcinus orca) is derived from Orcus, a Roman god of the underworld. Specifically, Orcus represented a malicious, punishing side of the underworld. So... it's not a much friendlier name for these animals.

If you don't mind anon, I'm going to continue using killer whale. It is just as much an acceptable name as orca.

Spark of Genius: You know, I don't think you've gotten any asks about what other people with OFA would have as their 'focus', other than the x Orcinus one about Tokoyami & Dark Shadow being 'macabre' Sparks. I'm gonna try to start that sort of thing off.

SoG x Shiozaki for All: Shiozaki is a botany spark. Obviously, after testing whatever new super-fertilizer or what-have-you on another plant to make sure it's safe, she tends to apply her inventions directly to her own hair.
