The orchard grass dragon is small and snake-like. Using a special second stomach to hold water, they spit with tremendous accuracy to knock their prey out of the air. Preferred food is dragonflies.

AKA cock's-foot, or cat grass. Dactylis from the Greek daktylos meaning finger; glomerata from the Latin glomeratus meaning 'collected closely to the head', referring to the clustered spikelets.

A cool-season perennial C3 tufted grass with many subspecies, found in meadows, pasture, roadsides, and rough grassland throughout most of Europe, temperate Asia, and northern Africa, from sea level up to 4000m elevation. Widely used for hay and forage.

It has been introduced into North America, New Zealand and Australia, and in some areas is an invasive species.

My husband has gotten Timothy hay for the guinea pigs because that's all they had at our local place to get hay. We'll see if either of us blow up with allergies! Another reason is it gets on the piggies so it creates Sneezy snuggle times. And one of our pigs might be allergic to it
