ORÁCULO DIGITAL. Mini fanzine de 4 poemas. 20 ejemplares. Dic 2023

"El sol se pone en Escorpio y yo encuentro un gorrión muerto en el patio. Es hermoso, y está suave. Junto flores de romero, de limón, y lo corono. El oráculo digital me dice: tonight you'll dream of flying; pero me acuesto y sigo trabajando. Voy a una feria, lloro y tomo a las personas de las manos. Les digo que respiremos. Quiero sincronizar mi cuerpo con la mujer que tengo enfrente, me arrodillo y cierro los ojos. Le pido que solo escuche mi voz. Repito este procedimiento con muchas personas. Aunque lloro por lo mismo que ellxs, pido que nos tranquilicemos e indico cómo respirar: explico que la cercanía nos protege porque somos mamíferos.

Ahora tu sangre es mi sangre, ¿sentís? Reseteo mi sistema nervioso quinientas veces y no me canso. Cuando me levanto me toca viajar con mamá. En el auto hablamos de cómo mis sueños siempre transcurren en el futuro y los de ella en el pasado, en escenas de su infancia. Maneja y me señala pueblitos: mirá ese cementerio allá. Me cuenta sobre el último tío muerto que vino a verla: le trajo prosperidad. Vuelve a contarme sobre los otros familiares y su árbol genealógico se extiende frente a nosotras en un loop fuera de tiempo. Cuando ella está angustiada, quienes le construyeron el corazón vuelven para avisarle que todo está bien."

Bueeeenooooooooo, estuve MESES pintando esto (incluso le puse venas... oh dios mío no estoy bien), me gustó mucho como quedó, ¡Siempre quise dibujar a la mini-Erika! <3 Este dibujo lo empecé a mediados del 2017 maso menos y como no me gustó lo abandoné para luego de unos meses volver a el con muchas ganas de empezar de nuevo. ;D Peeero la parte que más me molestó fue pintarlo... estoy constantemente cambiando de estilo e incluso busco otras formas de pintar en digital, y como lo había dejado a medias me costó un poco volver a pintar de la misma forma en la que lo hacía... fue super tedioso. Pero POR FIN lo terminé, soy feliz, muy feliz, estoy llorando.

2019 Music Recommendations

2019. Another stellar year! There was so much excitement this year to be found musically. First off some surprises from some older acts who haven’t released material in decades. Both Heavy Water Factory and Numb had terrific returns to form with new full lengths this year and not surprisingly after the long slumbers - still showcased modern sounds and futuristic ideas. Some terrific re-issues this year from the likes of Dive, Force Dimension and Robotiko Rejekto all from the awesome Mecanica label. If you missed them the first go-around seek them out – those are all important artifacts in the industrial-ebm history. Oh yeah, they also re-issued Acid Horse and Pailhead records this year too!  Synth-pop and synth wave made a huge impact again this year with remarkable releases from Hatchie (favorite record of the year), Silent Em, Luminance, Iris, Body of Light, Minuit Machine, Wingtips, Replicant and others. Post-punk seemed to be the buzz phrase this year with a lot of attention on it. Many great records from the likes of Foreign Resort, Present Moment, Ritual Howls, Veil of Light and Years of Denial. Retro sounding EBM still caught my attention with outstanding releases from Klack, Randolph & Mortimer and Unconscious. Likewise, there was so much contemporary energy surging in the newer techno-ebm realm with punchy releases from Crystal Geometry, Maedon, Kontravoid, Raffaele Attanasio, Rhys Fulber, Ansome and so many others. This isn’t a top 10, top 25 or even a top 100. Instead, it’s an A-Z recommendation list encompassing many genres as those lines are getting more and more blurred.  The majority of what I listen to is electronic based and that runs a whole gamut of sub-genres from techno-ebm, to synth-pop to whatever. A good tune is a good tune, regardless of genre. For each release I’ve listed a format (the one I purchased the release in). If there’s not a format listed - it’s usually digital. My preferred format is vinyl, but if you can’t find it on vinyl it’s likely available digitally as well. RE stands for re-issue by the way.

There’s a ton of new pioneering music out there for sure waiting to be discovered and it’s the “what’s next” that keeps me a motivated music fan. There’s never a dull moment in speaking, writing, DJ'ing or promoting new music, so I’ll keep doing it and hopefully be a guide for you all ;).  

HIGHLY encourage you to get out there and seek out new music; Visit the record stores, go hear a new DJ, fire up Spotify or another streaming service, check out some new music via podcast, DJ mixes, label sites, online retailers, Facebook, BANDCAMP, BANDCAMP, BANDCAMP, etc. There’s a plethora of discoveries to be found out there. If you do the work, you’ll be rewarded ;)   Speaking of Spotify – I made a playlist this year featuring plenty of the bands on my list. As in years past I’m sure I missed a few things, ignored the hype on certain releases or just plain forgotten something. No dia 19/07 tem mais ForCaos na Vila das Artes. A Netuno Doom foi formada em meados de janeiro de 2015, com o nome de Braves Face The Devil, com o guitarrista e vocalista Adriano Alves (ex-Burn All Hate e ex - Falácia), no baixo Hewerson Freitas e na bateria Bosco Lacerda (Agressivium, 4BanneD, Darkside). Em 2016 houve diversas mudanças, inlcuisve o nome, que virou Netuno Doom. As músicas foram aperfeiçoadas com adição de samples para criar uma ambientação épica e espacial, mais peso foi adicionado à nossa sonoridade. Em 2018 foi lançado o EP “The Universer The Prison” em versão digital pelas principais plataformas de stream onde conta com cinco música. Já em 2019 o EP “The Universe The Prison” em versão física com os selos Tales From The Pit Records (MG), Eclipsys Lunarys Productions (MG), Totem Records(MG), Ocvlto Records (RS), Vertigem Discos (CE), Jazigo Distro (CE), Perverted Blood (SP). This 4 age pictorial leaflet presents an illustration of a witch brewing up a stew with a cat and an owl at her side. This "Brief Oracle" gives astrology readings for the day of the week in which a child is born. Quarter sheet, printed recto and verso, on tan paper. Zinc etching. Signed.

“Fue darle al play y escuchar el primer tema del álbum debut de Holygram y nos hemos quedado irremediablemente enganchados a este grupo. ¿Te apetece descubrirlos?

Nacidos en Alemania, esta joven banda publicó su primer disco el año pasado. Influenciados por el sonido de New Order y The Jesus And Mary Chain, su primer EP de título homónimo, fue grabado y mezclado en el estudio que la banda tiene en Colonia. Los primeros meses el trabajo se distribuyó en un número limitado de copias usando el formato digital y cassette. En diciembre de 2016 el sello Oraculo Records, puso a la venta una edición limitada de 300 copias en vinilo y así de este modo dio comienzo su personal aventura.

Hideaway y Acceleration son dos de los cortes de este EP que mejor reflejan su estilo. Temas que te atrapan desde el primer acorde y que parten de una construcción de aparente sencillez. Sencillez que se va enriqueciendo con capas de sonidos superpuestas, para ir creciendo en complejidad y belleza y elaborar de este modo melodías llenas de infinitos matices.”  Sonia García López
