Debating whether i should actually write the fic i had an idea for a while ago.

the idea was like a creepy sitcom, almost wandavision vibes, but a completely different story.

So there's this apartment building, where it takes place. and the mc moves in or already lives there, and starts noticing these disappearances.

and all the characters act like nothing has happened. they keep up this act that everything is fine, but you can tell its an act, there's awkward silence and badly concealed fear.

And the mc is the only one not really playing along like they didn't get the script.

they end up talking to mc's love interest/close friend, and being like "What is actually going on here" and (depending on who i choose to be the character that mc goes to) "mc, tell me what is going on here, this is messed up why aren't you scared?"

and im thinking for the mc, it would be Regulus, and he was sort of in on it the whole time, in a way. and the people behind it would be someone in his family.

and the other mc/love interest/friend would be either Remus or James.

And of course, all the other characters would be there.

They would all have cool dynamics and live in the complex with them.

like ive been thinking james would live across the hall and share an apartment with Remus. Sirius would live in the apartment that regulus moved into.

Marlene would live with Dorcas maybe.

and then lily and mary would live together.

Alice and frank would live together, maybe with their son?

and Molly and Arther would be like the older couple that likes to look after all the young people living there.

And then barty, evan, and pandora would live together too. (or pandora would live with lily and mary, or maybe she would move in there later?)

i have a lot more details that I've thought of. just kind of need to get into the mood to write.

Man, it's cool and all if you see a metaphor for marginalisation in the monstrous, and if you want the power fantasy of 'what if you could just eat anybody who threatened you/pissed you off'. Me too.

However, as soon as you start saying 'no, these monsters are a 1:1 on Specific Marginalised Group, and you have to treat them in the fiction like they are directly representative of real human members of the marginalised group', BUT you also, in the fiction, make them hurt/kill/eat humans? And then try to shame me, your audience, for noticing or engaging with the bit where they kill people, because you made them directly representative of a real-world marginalised group? You have lost me, and also, I think, the plot.

I was rewatching mouthwashing, and I ended up thinking of the different reactions that Curly and Jimmy had in doing their tasks. How during the scene of Anya evaluating Jimmy and showing dread towards the idea of doing his evaluation, Curly was the one that offered to take it off her hands. He had no issue with adding more to his plate, because he knew - or well, thought, he knew that Jimmy wasn't going to "bullshit" with him since he's known him for a long time. When Anya hands Curly a note from Swansea, Curly goes to check out what the issue is and he takes care of it without a complaint, the only "complaint" he has is how this incident could have damaged the pods. Which is reasonable, those pods are their only way to be saved if anything tragic happens on the ship. However, in comparison to Jimmy being asked to do things, he's passive-aggressive about it. When Anya asks Jimmy if he could help her out with Curly's painkillers, he tells her that people should be worth their titles, specifically using her title as a nurse when she asked him for help and then when she says forget it, since he made her feel insecure, he still goes "Oh no, I'LL take care of it" as if he was doing a chore, a favor for her. Then, there's that part where he blows up at her for things that she didn't even ask him to do - more so the others asked him about it, like the code scanner, him deciding he needed to find the axe for the foam, and then, there's the medicine part (which when she does ask, and she reconsiders - going to do it herself, he takes that away from her). Jimmy complains about the tasks he has to do and he treats it like a big issue, a "woes me" that he has to do this and that - wanting the praise of the capital without actually doing any work. While Curly doesn't complain about it, in fact, he even mentions that he's aware of how well he is doing at his job as a Captain during that cockpit scene with him and Jimmy. If Jimmy only had to do a small amount of tasks to get irritated and annoyed at being captain, while Curly didn't which I feel like encapsulates their personalities. Curly understands what he's doing is a job, it's a responsibility, why would he complain at any point for doing what he's suppose too? Why would he be upset at people asking him to do tasks? While Jimmy on the other hand, isn't used to it at all and it's different to what he's had before and he's realizing that he doesn't actually like doing the work he has too. I just wanted to ramble about it even if it seemed kind of obvious xd

It’s obvious but it is a thing people miss or understate when trying to find parallels in Curly’s and Jimmy’s relationship/personalities.

Like the way people portray it as neither taking responsibility when it is almost split down the middle of Curly taking responsibilities and faults that shouldn’t be his and making himself unequipped to handle the ones that are while Jimmy refuses to handle the responsibilities he has because he wasn’t expecting the work that comes with them.

Not a lot to say but people forget that another thing the game comments on is prioritization of issues and responsibilities and how the guys fail at it in one way or another in the situation.

Bad Guy My Boss is going to give me romance messiness, gun fights, workplace scheming, and, hopefully, color-coded boys in love.

Because Elyes is a dark guy (possibly a Black Brooder) while his assistant extraordinaire is a light guy (possibly a Happy Human).

But the thing is, Elyes is much lighter when he is alone with Pat.

Or at least he was.

And perhaps that was because they were very close when they first started out, sharing meals and their dreams with each other late into the night.

But now there is a wide distance (and many men) between them.

They no longer share plates side-by-side at home and small restaurants, but instead discuss the next day's schedule with a large table of options laid out in front of them.

So Elyes has gotten darker.

And so has Pat, but it's not the job that has gotten to him.

Pat's friends figure out that he is in love.

And even though he won't admit who has him heartbroken,

It's clear only one color-coded boy has all his attention because Elyes has demanded all of Pat's time for over five years.

Even though they still exist in their own little world,

The distance is getting worse all the time.

So I'm surprised that in the end of the episode, Black Brooder Elyes was the one to step up.

And close the distance that is growing between them, literally.

Because based on how the episode began, I know he is successful.

Because if he wasn't breathing down Pat's neck before, he definitely will be now that the possibility of Pat quitting has become a reality.

Favourite Dressrosa Sanji moments

I know Sanji wasn't present for most of Dressrosa but as usual he absolutely stole the show for me the 5% of time that he was on screen :

(1) When the strawhats were striking a deal with doflamingo, Law didn't specify how many ppl he could bring to the rendezvous point, and sanji was quick to point it out, as usual thinking ahead. He knew what the stakes were in this fight and that they couldn't just waltz into green bit and have a fair exchange with a corrupt warlord. anxious paranoid king but absolutely justified

(2) i absolutely loved all of sanji's interactions with viola. But i loved it the most when he could tell viola wasn't lying just from her body language and expressions alone. That's typical extremely perceptive and emotionally intelligent sanji for you.

(3) another viola sanji moment when she peaks inside his mind and all she sees is sensual stuff. Viola really said he horny but he honest 😭

(4) ofc my favourite lawsan moment when the strawhats were eating sandwiches and Law said that he hates breads so sanji serves rice cakes for him. Adding in a cute little snippet from an SBS where Oda says that Law threw another fit cz one of the onigiris had umeboshi (pickled plum) inside, the sillies!!

(5) sanji cutting momo's sandwiches smaller and serving a kid's meal for him

(6) sanji's kind and nurturing nature showing up when the team was with momonosuke for only a few days but sanji noticed how momo only turns into a dragon when he is distressed and can't control his emotions.

(7) my silly little humble sanji who can't take a compliment

Bitty update! Or I guess bitties (bittys?) update since there's apparently two of them now.

I didn't expect to see much of them after that last encounter since they seemed pretty unhappy about me getting too close, but I kept leaving out food and keeping my eyes peeled just in case. A lot of people have been saying to leave jerky but I haven't been able to find any so I've been leaving out bread and ham, is this okay for them?

Anyway, the other day when I was on my lunch break I saw the horror bitty scurrying around again. He saw me and disappeared which I expected, but then he came back and just kinda sat across from me and ate?? I didn't want to say anything in case it spooked him so we just sort of ate lunch together in silence, but I did try and take a sneaky picture

Is this good? Is this normal for bitties? When he was finished eating he just got up and walked off and I didn't see where he went, but I assume he's not super scared of me if he sat and ate so close right?

Also I found this cute little ketchup jar, I've been keeping it in the fridge since it's been warm in work and I thought they'd like a cool treat. Well I found it like this the other day so I guess that's a yes lol

However, these Power Rangers were woefully unprepared for the addition of The Armada to Rita's forces and were defeated. In the time after, Jake started fighting on the ground, stepping up as a human resistance leader in the former Harwood County. He never speaks of his time as a Ranger, few knowing of it at all. Though, with the appearance of a mysterious duo of a Green and a Pink Ranger, he considers retrieving his Gosei Morpher from the wreckage of the Megaforce Base. Maybe there are other Power Rangers out there, maybe Earth can be saved.

they're the head butler ofc, but they're also queen's right-hand-man (gender neutral), her #1 bestie. they know everything about her, even about lancer before the events of ch2. they will literally do anything she asks and anything that will entertain her. it's tiring and they do complain sometimes but they enjoy their work, they know what a kind person she really is and that she's generally a good ruler, so they like to make her happy :)

weirdly competitive. nobody beats them in queen's monthly fruit-smashing competition and if you somehow do, they're a good sport but You Will Not Win Next Month. You Won't.

workaholic. oh god they wear so many hats in the mansion and they're so tired all the time, it's a miracle they get everything done

the color cafe is a regular butler cafe up front and a host club in the back. a handful of the birds, including swatch, can be paid (at quite high rates, swatch especially) to join you for drinks or sweets, flirt with you, cuddle - p much have a sweet and lightly romantic time. you would not believe how much money spamton dumped into the host club back in the day. their undisputed #1 customer even 20 years later

i generally view them as very asexual (demi specifically. + nonbinary) but they still love their host work! it's fun, they like making people happy and playing at being a romantic. and the sweets. they like the sweets just as much 🍰

i just need to know what it is about me that everyone thinks it’s okay to constantly disrespect me and treat me like a subhuman. everyone keeps telling me it’s not my fault that i keep getting used and fucked over but the common denominator is me.

seems to me that the wwdits writers were put in a situation where their characters, nandor and guillermo, kind of got away from what they intended them to be. like, their intention was for guillermo to just be a familiar in a fucked up power dynamic with his master, but the two characters pretty organically had it become something romantically tense. now, in my opinion, when characters start taking their own path like this, as a writer, you have to follow it. and in some ways, they alluded to that, but they never gave any closure on it.

that, to me, is bad writing. and i can understand why everyone is feeling betrayed too.

but with the world inside the rift being called "Welt des Nichts" aka "world of nothing/void" in german ('still' in english, for some reason) and demises title in french being "avatar of nothing" ... yeah my anxiety is shooting through the roof again

i had similar worries with totk, that werent proven true thankfully, but the darn book is making it all worse again with all those weird lore things the game doesnt even so much as hint at AND potential retcons- im in for a really rough time huh, not just stress in real life (more in tags.. its alot) but now about my specific hyperfixation from two things even (AND artblock still..)

weird as it may sound, i dont want demise to get more lore, partly bc i dont believe theyd do anything with him that i would like (given their track record) but much more importantly- the fact that he has this little lore about him is precisely one of the reasons why i fell in love with him, i tend to like characters that are neglected by the narrative, and his story being both so flat and already done meant i can be very creative with what i come up with for him without necessarily contradicting anything in canon (which is ... or was a big point of how i wrote destiny's story and lore, working with canon in a way that reframes it all without straight up ignoring it ... but i suppose i urgently need to let go of that and accept i spend alot of time working things that will go to waste :( ) AND not having to worry that there will be more stuff with him that would massively change not only what im writing but also potentially how i feel about him since the game he was briefly in was the oldest chronologically and ended with his death- i didnt expect them to mess with anything that far back and thought theyd just go forward and leave the timeline behind and wouldnt mess with it again, given how botw seemed to be a sort of 'fresh start' that seemingly regarded the past as the past that needs to rest and that the timeline was finally no longer a discussion if everythings unified through botw and one thing going forward

but i suppose i was very wrong with that .__.

right now the only thing that motivates me still is the left over determination and spite to work on my zelda comic, since i have never gotten this far and really want to get something done for once, but i cant lie that im feeling like i should pause all work on it too to wait and see waht the book and the new game will do .. either to determine if i still have the will to keep working on it after those things are out (my love for tloz has been taking alot of hits lately ..) or if i have to change stuff (mostly bc of my lore problem trying to not ignore it ..)
