She really didn’t want to be stuck with a jade, dolphin-like tail for long, let alone be stuck in the water for that long. This was going to be a heck of a time, especially since divers, the aqua grabber and many more things that were now a factor.

In fact, the first recorded merguin fatality was a penguin poacher in that area of the world. It was once hypothesized that merguin would lure the penguins into the water and then devour them en masse, but it seems the opposite is true: the merguin will protect the penguins from predators while the feed. In exchange, it is believed the merguin gets some sort of social validation and comradery from the penguins, who have, by all appearances, accepted the merguins as one of their own on several occasions.
