Me made an AU ヽ(°〇°)ﾉ it’s a FNAF and subnautica AU!!!

Oki so lemme explain because there are tons of these sorta AUs so as a planet 4546B enthusiast (close to beating the first game just need to build the rocket) and as a Sun and Moon Lover, I think there needs to be more!!

Any ways my Au takes place quite a few years before the Degasi crashed into planet 4546B! Y/N comes from a government that punishes criminals by throwing them onto unknown or dangerous planets and doing it again once the criminal escapes till the criminal dies or earns their freedom, Y/N has been framed for a horrific crime, they didn’t fight because they knew they had no alibi, Y/N has never been one to have friends so it was almost as if people had been expecting them to do a horrific crime, there was no convincing them otherwise!

Y/N was basically yeeted to the planet, no one cared if they lived but they survived the landing in the ocean, they landed near the floating island, they eventually got to the safe shallows after a night on the island, of course swimming to find more resources is scary but even more terrifying when you have Thalassophobia! But before We talk more about Y/N lets talk about Sun and Moon Lore!!

Sun and Moon call each other siblings but they aren’t biological related, they just happened to hatch on the same day! They are hybrids of creatures on planet 4546B and other planets, they were artificially created by an Architect called Af-ton!!

Moon is a hybrid of a Ghost and Reaper Leviathan with human and squid! He uses the grabby grabby claws on his back to hold meals still and to hold a pillow made of kelp while he sleeps, he sleeps mostly during the day but when Sun wants to explore during the day he will stay awake to explore with him, once he meets Y/N he’ll start carrying Y/N around in his grabby claws while he swims around always comes up to give Y/N oxygen. Has a bit more tough love with getting Y/N to go deeper and swim around more deeper areas.

Sun is a hybrid of a ghost leviathan, crab snake, Mesmer and human! He uses his petal shaped things on his head to lure prey in much like a Mesmer, they will also flash bright colours when excited, curious, sad and angry! He explores a lot! He’s curious about everything! He sleeps during the night, he likes to be carried around by Moon while sleeping and is just a little touch starved for affection other than from Moon. Once he meets Y/N he’d try getting them to go deeper in the ocean and encourage them to come explore with him!

Since Sun and Moon are the youngest as the last creations from Af-ton before many of the architects uploaded their consciousness into computers, they hang out around the safe shallows to hide from the bigger hybrids, they commonly talk to Chica and Freddy but not Monty and Roxy because of their aggressive behaviour. They both explore deeper water when they can but they get word of mouth from Freddy and Chica, one day Freddy told them he saw a meteor crash into the ocean near the floating island! They go to explore and find a bunch of metal fragments where it crashed so they decided to go rest at the island before swimming back to safe shallows but instead they found an odd creature sitting on the edge of the island, small enough to not be of any danger to them but not small enough to be a quick easy snack, could it be an alien from the meteor or is it a new hybrid from Af-ton??? They’ll find out soon enough but first Y/N needs to get the courage to hop in the water

Yes! I got information about them!

I imagine they're VERY similar despite being just half siblings like;

San's very abnormal strength (see my comic here) also lives within Neo- making them very similar fighters and Neo, someone San sees as a sorta younger version of themself. Except... well... more feistier and grumpier. And they- I imagine- both look very alike if Neo rubbed all the soot off his face.

Neo at first thinks the Captain was very stingy and irritating but found very deep admiration and trust in San which slightly reverts back to anger when Neo finds out their relation due to the fact Big Buddy uses it as a reason for Neo to move away from him.

Neo eventually cools down from it though and feels... so... odd realizing the hero they began to look up to is the same hero they threw away their old life and childhood for by running away- the same hero they constantly chased and dreamed to be liked-

and yet that hero is still flawed. still... imperfect.

it both cracks Neo's fantasies and expectations for life and affirms it. Neo wishes to be like all the people it's inspired by and it's, a bit, overwhelming for the young squid and-

San finds reasons to stay around or them. San wants to be there for Neo too. Wants to see their little sibling thrive and grow. San wants Neo to see a family in them because San.. never really had that until the NSS.

After Big Buddy's death in the final battle, I imagine San fully takes Neo in and San makes sure to help Neo every step of the way through the grieving process and well- giving inkfish society a try- while Neo pokes at San and gives San a drive to be a good role model lol.

They're being brave siblings together. And Im emotional over both of them.

Recently I remembered that you once found Narinder name meaning and that was interesting, so I decided to look for other bishops names meanings. Here's what I found:

• Leshy.

Or Leshi. It's basically a name of Slavic guardian-spirit of the forest. It has no special name meaning, partly because it's formed from the word forest, which is "les" in some Slavic languages.

• Heket.

Or Heqet, or Heqtit. It's a name of is an Egyptian goddess of fertility, who actually was represented in the form of a frog. To the Egyptians, the frog was an ancient symbol of fertility, related to the annual flooding of the Nile. The meaning of her name is not found, but possibly it was formed from "heqa", which means ruler or sceptre.

• Kallamar.

This is the weirdest one, because is's quite similar to translations of squid to some other languages: kalamar (in Albanian), calamar (in French) and calamaro (in Italian). So it is as if Narinder was named Chat, which is cat in French or sort of. His name has no meaning, it's just squid. Lol I just thought that it's sorta similar to the way we call Lambert.

• Shamura.

This one is the most interesting, because their name don't belong to any spirit or god and it's not just a translation. This is Arabic/Assyrian gender neutral name.

Unfortunately there's no much information about it, but there were some "user submitted" meanings and I think some of them are worthy. I also found meanings of names similar to Shamura, which are Shamurah and Shamara (both are girls names btw). There are the meanings:

Shamura – diamond; spider damn they know something.

Shamurah – a learner, pure soul, brave and strong; strong, unique and independent (woman).

Shamara – battle ready warrior; fierce warrior; warrior.

She never stops talking to Yuyu and is always trying to be near them, also loves cuddles. Cuddling is amazing for them, ahhhhh she loves being near people she loves. Will gift little things to people, just stuff she saw and thought they might like. Is very fun to hang out with and is very cute of a person (don't take that weird pleasee (*/ω＼*)) favorite food is candy and favorite drinks are like those milks but taste like tinted with something... do those actually even exist idk, am I making this up? idk but I'm going with it. likes to play fun sweet games as such: Minecraft (the farming part) and animal crossing. I love biology so much. Definitely a 'WOAH BIOLOGY' more than a "it's kinda cool ig" lol. The more I learn about biology and different fields in biology the more I fall in love with it. I just think learning the ways in which life, like, works (for lack of better phrasing) I dunno it's just so cool to learn about, and think about. All the little things that go into life.

I've always had a particular fascination with human biology. And specifically Anatomy and Physiology. As a like 1st or 2nd grader my mom got me a book which was basically very simplified anatomy and physiology and It became my personality till I started middle school. I think it's so neat to learn about something and that thing be something that's happening within you right now. One of my favorite things in my biology classes is doing labs/dissections because it's so cool to feel and touch and see the things which are actively keeping you alive. Also I'm a big fan of dendritic cells (my favorite cell <3).

I would say my interest in biology has definitely broadened in recent times. Recently I've been learning more about Ornithology. I'm trying starting bird watching and I generally think birds fucking cool as hell. I actually started learning more about Ornithology because I really like pigeons. And I wanted to learn more about birds in general, so I started watching yt videos about them and googling and now I can say that I think probably too much about Birds.

Interestingly marine biology used to be interest of mine, but it's never been my main love when it comes to biology. Which is funny since most of my online accounts are related to squid.

ANYWAY THIS IS ALL BESIDES THE POINT.

the point being this gives me and excuse to talk about my true love in life...the immune system and specifically dendritic cells. I. am. so. normal. about these antigen presenting baddies. I fuckin love them. The immune system has always been the most interesting system to me as someone who spent most of their childhood in a battle to the death with their immune system. So anyway lemme tell you about my favorite cell in the human body: Dendritic Cells/DC's

(pls note i'm by no means and expert and while I like to talk about this stuff I might get stuff wrong. I just think its all neat, but my research is mostly googling and the occasional book I find on the topic, so take all of this with a grain of salt)

So the immune system. It's pretty cool. Helps keep you alive and stuff. Roughly speaking there's two sorta categories in your immune system. Your innate and your adaptive immune system.

Innate: I like to think of the innate immune system like a safety net. Generalized, Broad, but it does what it's trying to do well. It's your first line of defense. Your skin and mucous membranes are part of this, but so are cells like macrophages which can eat pathogens. Its focused on blocking and destroying, but sometimes this doesn't work and the pathogen works too fast or goes undected for too long. Then you need something more specialized to help out.

Adaptive: This is the special ops of ur immune system. They target pathogens directly by identifying them and using that to target them. Since it needs to take the time to identify the pathogen tho, it's slower, which is why the fast but generalized innate response is also important. This part of ur immune system is also why vaccines work. Certain cells in this part of ur immune system have the ability to basically remember these past infections. So next time you get sick the adaptive response can kick in right away.

So where do dendritic cells fit into this???

IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED. So, Dendritic cells are actually kinda both part of the innate an adaptive response. How? Well, I'll tell you.

So dendritic cells hang out across ur body and act like immune system watchtowers. So when a pathogen comes strolling in looking to cause trouble ur innate immune response is going to (usually) start giving it some pushback. With things like Macrophages (that eat pathogens). But as I mentioned before the innate response while fast, is nonspecific. The adaptive response is what can target pathogens directly. But how does the adaptive response even get started? Does the innate response have something to like go tell the adaptive response "Hey this is what we're dealing with wake up and go fight it"? YES. And that's the dendritic cell.

So Dendritic cells are innate immune response cells which engulf pathogens and present them on the outside of their cell membrane. Once they've done that they can actually inform the immune response against those pathogens.

How do they do this?

Why T and B cells ofc!

So once the dendritic cell has got all the details on the pathogen it travels to ur lymph tissue and activates the adaptive immune cells there. Informing the immune response based on the antigen it's presenting.

These funky antigen presenting cells are responsible for bridging the gap between your immune responses and also help in maintaining ur immune system's memory.

alright maybe you don't see how cool they are. I get it. lemme give you an example of why they're SO important. :D

I'm going to be discussing HIV. As many people know HIV attacks the immune system. Most notably through T-Cells, but also through Dendritic Cells.

You see when the HIV virus enters the body Dendritic cells are going to usually be one of the first immune cells it interacts with. Normally the Dendritic cell would take down virus and start an adaptive immune response, however the HIV virus has a way to take over Dendritic cells using their ability to travel to cell to quickly infect the adaptive immune cells the Dendritic cell normally actives. This allows the virus to more quickly decimate an immune system. The Dendritic Cells being compromised decimating much of the adaptive immune response.

Does that example kinda highlight my point?

I hope so.

SO. i had a thesis director chosen from when i started all this process. she was great. love you miriam mwah. anyways. she had another student doing the thesis with her (a student that is my friend). turns out, for the ucm predoc shit there could only be one thesis director per person. no fucking clue why. so we all talked it out and thought the best solution was for me to have another one, and maybe miriam could be my co-director in the future. the funny thing is, this new supervisor (cruz) was my first choice way back when i started thinking about doing the ph.d. i just chose miriam in the end cause she was my master's thesis' director. so yeah. i could've chosen cruz from the start and i wouldn't have had these many problems. but whatever.

it's impossible for the spring to not be my favorite station, i'm about to cry over how nice this day is

i mean. overall it was a good day. but my memories of it get a bit tainted by the sequel (yes there is a sequel). anyways, let's go with the fun context.

so, yes i did (kinda) have a job interview that day. they haven't called me since so i guess that didn't work out. i had a 1 hour 30 mins trip on public transport to get there so that's why i woke up so early (the interview was at 9:30 i think?). i managed to get there only cause as i got back home to wait for my mum to wake up i got the notification that she had sent me 50 € to my bank account for that day. so i went out again, got to the tram station, recharged my transport card, and then got there. in the end the interview was delayed so whatever but yeah. nothing remarkable there apart from that argentinian guy i chatted with!! like a normal human!!!

anyways, after that i had to go to the ucm (told you i was gonna go there later in the month) because. you guessed it: the ucm predoc. i'm not gonna bore you with the details, but basically i had everything done and filled up, i just needed to sign and sent it to the entity. i couldn't do it online so - after calling and not receiving any answers - i printed everything, signed everything by hand and decided to deliver it in the registry office.

that's what i did, after the registry guy told me i should call the people who were in charge of all that process and calling - i shit you not - 6 different numbers until i got their approval. so that means it was done right? i've finished the process??? right???? lol. we'll come to that in the sequel <3

but yeah, the day was nice, it was super spring-y, and it's always great to go outside of the house so i liked it :)

Squidbillies #50: "Not Without My Cash Cow!" | July 20, 2009 - 12:15AM | S04E10

Sometimes I think maybe I’m too hard on Squidbillies. When I point out that the show rarely makes me laugh it’s a true statement, but I don’t know if that makes me an effective arbiter of the show’s quality. I probably didn’t laugh out loud too much at the last Aqua Teen season, but I probably made less of a point to tell you this because I’m fonder of that show and those characters. If I’m being honest, the quality of these two shows this television season was probably fairly negligible. I would even go as far as to say that this was the best season of Squidbillies that I’ve seen, and I’m more fond of the show than I was last go round. 

In the conclusion of this two-parter: Durwood has taken Rusty from Early’s home. Early has seller's remorse, and is also promptly caught in a lie trying to disguise Lil as Rusty in order to keep his government child support checks from drying up. So, Early feigns that Rusty has been suspiciously kidnapped, causing Amber Alerts in the area. A media circus ensues which Early milks for all it’s worth.

Meanwhile, Durwood’s family home life isn’t all it’s cut out to be. His wife is addicted to wine and muscle relaxers. Durwood is revealed to be jobless, and we cut to him at a gay bar while pretending to go to work. His wife shares this fact with Rusty, also telling him that Durwood doesn’t know that she knows. It doesn’t stop with this overshare; she seduces Rusty, who gleefully fucks her. When Durwood comes home, she claims Rusty raped her. That’s when they simply stuff him into a sack and throw him back into Early’s yard.

I’ve been trained to be lightly wary of these types of take-downs of suburban/middle-class America, and this one doesn’t exactly reinvent the wheel. But it works well enough to pass the time for an eleven minute Adult Swim cartoon. It’s sorta fun to have one of your guys be a squid that’s walking upright in shoes, you know?? That dude straight-up unfurls and I gotta tell you, I was glad to see it. Not saying I loved this episode too much, but I liked it. Squidbillies: reasonably funny.

Here’s the post where I basically just list all the Adult Swim related-stuff that happened at or around comic-con in 2009. I recall going to this comic-con, but I don’t think I have a good enough of a memory to definitively say what I did and where. If I remember anything, I’ll write a thing. Also, I’ll link to videos if there are any. Also, this is apropos somewhat; I realized that I’m pretty sure I’ve failed to highlight other panels at different comic-cons, but the idea of cataloging all of them to any extent just seems exhausting. Collectors of Adult Swim ephemera should do due diligence and find all the other con shit themselves. I mostly just highlight San Diego because I’ve actually gone to that one myself a few times. Tim and Eric Awesome Show Performance (July 24, 2009 - 7:00PM)

I think I went to the Tim & Eric show with Kon, who is famous for being my friend and sometimes writing into the blog. I recall having gone to a Tim & Eric show at an all-ages venue in San Francisco maybe a few months before this. The kids were actually pretty great, but the 21+ crowd were dickheads, who vaguely treated everyone and everything like it was just a big freak show. I remember watching some girl dance during all the songs and stealing focus. I despised her.

Mighty Boosh Bash (July 24, 2009 - 11:00PM)

I remember going to this, it was basically a short stage show with the Boosh Boys and it ended with a DJ set. I mingled for like 15 minutes and then left.

Tim and Eric Awesome-Con 2009 (July 25, 2009 - 12:00PM)

This happens in a park outside the convention center. I don’t remember what happened at which Awesome-Con. Could this be the Awesome-Con where I asked to take a picture with James Quall and he just made a noise that sounded like a big sigh and I took it as a yes while he stared off into the distance. It was a dark moment, man. 

SDCC Panel: Series Development and the Venture Bros. (July 25, 2009 - 6:00PM)

I think I sat through this, and I think this might’ve been the panel where I sat next to a really beautiful girl who was dressed like Lady Au Pair. Maybe. Temperance is a part of the same clan as shiver and is like.her 2nd or 3rd cousin. they did not get along before hand and he’d try to upstage her a lot. now while warped he’s still relatively lucid so he’s just kind of an ass to her. ALso going to drag ocean hunter into this the shark he’s tamed is leviathan. Since the muatations still make him gigantic he swings the poor shark around. 

Likewise Justice is a part of the eel clan though he is not as closely related to frye as shiver is to temp. He’s very cryptic and not rlly all there. Frye did used to look up to him so seeing him like this is distressing

I watched Valerian last night. I appreciated how very ambitious it seemed, but ultimately the performances fell very short. My take is that a lot of filmmakers have tried to do what Fifth Element did as far as crafting an expansive and detailed world filled with unique designs for its characters and sets, which it absolutely did, but failed to create compelling characters who we follow throughout it. Jupiter Ascending which premiered two years after it did this much better, although I have similar critiques.

Dane DeHaan and Clara Delevingne and were not the worst actors I’ve ever seen, but they seemed too stiff and stoic to come off as endearing or relatable, even while they were joking. I didn’t feel much chemistry between them, and neither of them seemed to have meaningful character arcs to speak of.

I wish the writers took the mystery element of the plot even further. An action/adventure whodunit” type of story set in space would’ve been really cool. I found it difficult to accept Valerian as this super deadly space soldier and it wasn’t just because he doesn’t look physically intimidating. I got the impression that it was his ability to come up with a plan on short notice that was his real strength, but that wasn’t highlighted enough to be very memorable. Laureline straight up did not sell the badass and intelligent role very well.

Worse than them though, was Herbie Hancock, who didn’t have much time on screen, but his performance definitely revealed a lack of training and commitment to the role — no shade, I love his music, but he was not impressive. I was initially excited to see his name in the opening credits (and the opening scene was one of the best imo,) but after watching felt like it was mostly a ploy to draw attention.

I felt similarly about Rihanna’s performance. When she wasn’t giving awkward one-liner jokes, there just didn’t seem to be very much passion in her delivery of the lines. It doesn’t help that she was a cgi blue flubber squid alien for a good half of her appearance or dying in of the most egregious “we can’t afford to pay you/use all this cgi/create plot holes so we’re gonna have to kill you off” scenes I’ve ever witnessed.

That said, there were lots of things I found fun about this — the creative and fun moments with action set pieces, (like the chase following the market heist) practical effects, cool characters design (the three pigeon snitches, the albino twink beach aliens) and costumes (a circuit board design on a military uniform,) an unconventional story about war crimes being covered up…all things that could’ve been enhanced by just a bit more effort in terms of acting and storytelling.

There are moments where I was a bit confused about the tone of the movie. Was this a comedy? Is it for children? Am I supposed to be sad about this character’s death scene when what led up to it was a visual pun about stinky trash? I have my own issues with Marvel films, but at their very best they can manage to balance humor and tense/depressing moments pretty well. I got the impression that there was this rush to establish certain things narratively, and as a consequence, certain other parts (the best parts,) weren’t given much breathing room.

After watching Jupiter Ascending I felt pretty hungry for more exciting space epics with immersive, elaborate worlds. After also watching Avatar 2: The Way of Water just a few days earlier, unfortunately I’m still searching. JA wasn’t perfect, but had less obvious flaws than either, helped greatly by some legitimately decent performances. Avatar made me feel sorta motion sick after a while, even though it also had a few interesting plot elements and thrilling sequences.

I was expecting more, and I’m not sure why. I remembered watching the trailer years ago when it first released, and recalled feeling like “oh yes this is what the streets been waiting on!” and quickly forgetting about it not very long afterwards. The 2010-2019 period of Hollywood was very strange. I liked the direction this was heading and since it didn’t do well I’m wondering if it’s failure signaled a departure from movies like this and into the direction we’re headed now. It being the most expensive independent film kinda blows my mind—but only because it makes the end result all the more disappointing.

I don’t regret my watch, however. I think there were plenty of good decisions that were made, but unfortunately casting wasn’t one of them.

Actually here's a splatoon post that's still tf2 related: here's how I think the tf2 play styles translate to splatoon

Scout: Inkbrush/Octobrush. Short range with high mobility.

Soldier: Bloblobber or Explosher. Long range projectiles that have literal spash damage.

Pyro: Sploosh-o-matic. Short range, mid-damage with a high rate of fire. Useless for splatting enemies from afar, but effective for ambushes. The Clash Blaster is a contender for 2nd place because it has crayons. 🖍

Demoman: Range Blaster. High damage exploding projectile. Even has a sticky Suction Bomb as a sub-weapon. Alternatively: Splatana Stamper. Sword-like with a short "charge" forward.

Heavy: Nautilus Splatling. High rate of fire rotary cannon. Shorter range than the other splatlings, but can hold its charge when not firing.

Engineer: N-ZAP '85. I'll be honest with you I mostly picked this one because it has the dispenser Tacticooler special that assists your teammates and it kinda sorta looks like his pistol sort of.

Medic: Tenta Brella. Has a defensive shield similar to the MvM medigun upgrade. Also has a kit more suited for a support play style.

Sniper: E-liter 4K Scope. VERY high range charger with a scope allowing for higher precision shots. Cannot store its charge. Alternatively: REEF-LUX 450.

Spy: Splat Roller. Another good ambush weapon, sneaking behind an opponent and attacking is a 1-Hit KO, but running directly at somebody from the front will get you killed. Often paired with the Ninja Squid ability for this reason.

I can't remember if I've sent an ask along the lines of this or not, but anyway-

I like seeing Squidward happy- not like a sadistic kind of happy, with like seeing Spongebob hurt in one way or another, but happy about something nice.

I dunno why, but there's something about seeing Squidward happy about something good; like in the Band Geeks episode where he proved Squillim wrong. There's something about seeing Squidward genuinely happy that feels unique or something to me... and I dunno why.

Maybe it's cause I sorta relate to Squidward in a way or something.

Even better if he's happy with Spongebob.

Squidward genuinely deserves to be happy. He's the universe's punching bag and honestly if he does 1 thibg wrong, it swings back to hit him 10× worse. This mans can't catch a break.

I get originally he was meant to be a snobby mean adult but hes really grown far from that. He has a lot of admirable traits. He's talented at nearly every form of art. He never gives up no matter how much he fails.

He just feels more alone and upset since he isn't where he wants to be in life. Who wouldn't feel upset? Yeah spongebob is an endless pit of optimism but at some point people break down.

Me and my sister were talking about this and I mentioned how I don't think Squidward grew up in as much of a stable and loving environment. His father is estranged, his grandmother is a sociopath, he pretty much fears his mother and willing to do anything for her approval. Yo no wonder he isn't like spongebob. His innocence and optimism for the world was crushed at a young age. I kinda theorized that's why he tends to resent spongebob so much. He used to be like him. A twinkle in his eye, love and wonder for the world around him before it was eventually crushed by a cruel reality. Everytime he looks at spongebob, he just sees the sad little kid who still somehow believed in the world. It feels pretty pathetic to watch if you're someone who has deep-seated self hate.

I think his obsession to he accepted into high society and exclusive art circles is because he wants so badly to be accepted and find a place he thinks he belongs + earning some sort of status symbol, after all the years of his misery, he'd finally be looked up to instead of down upon. He'd finally br able to make his mother proud. Isn't that what he always wanted? He'd finally be able to prove he isn't a worthless little squid.

Its honestly so tragic. Mans deserves true happiness. Not revenge happiness where he gets small satisfaction from punching back at the universe. It's still a reminder of all the pain he endured. He deserves true joy and things to go well for him.

I think all spongebob fans alike can agree, moments where Squidward is happy makes up the best moments in the show. I think that tells you a lot. Its so rewarding to see it. The grumpiest person around to smile? Its so sweet.

Squidward is a massively relatable character. Not everyone can be a spongebob. Some do struggle feeling good about themselves. They feel like their lives are stagnent and not moving. Some wishing they could find circles to accept them. Some feeling like they're not appreciated enough. Some who feels like life is coming for them left and right snd they can't catch a break. We see all of that through squidward and I think we just can't help but get attached to him because of it.

I think that's why we find him and his happiness so special. If it can get better for him, just for a small moment, then why not for us as well?
