warnings: so much fucking angst :) author's note: it's a coping fic for college stress, don't judge me. also, please note, y'all are getting my major which is Early Childhood Education. it was your first semester back to college after taking a much needed break from school. you were still a freshman considering how poorly you did prior to your break, and right now, you were sitting in your shared bed, surrounded by notes and homework.

Price looked on with worried eyes. It was easy to tell you needed a break, considering you were a full time student and had also recently started a part time job that was within your major.

You let out a soft, shaky sigh as you stared at the plethora of papers of the subject you dreaded the most: math. You were an Early Childhood Education major, the math class was basically you learning the secrets that teachers knew about math and how to teach them in a way kids could understand, and yet you were stumped on the subject. learning how to teach math should've been easy! but nope, it wasn't.

You were currently on the verge of tears when you heard a cough which startled you. you looked up at the door way and seen your very concerned boyfriend with his arms over his chest.

"maybe take a break, love?" John suggested calmly as he walked over to the bed, carefully moving your papers & notebook - god why did your professor give you so many note packets? - which was met with a headshake and a few tears rolling down your face.

"c-cant...it..I gotta get this stuff done." you whispered.

John let out a soft sigh, understanding how you felt, but he knew the damage the overwhelming amount of work was being piled onto you was doing. He gently took the papers and grabbed the folder and neatly put them away before grabbing your notebook, calculator and pencil case and putting them into your book bag.

"you can return to them tomorrow, lovie, please just take a break for the night." John was basically demanding you to take a break at this point. As soon as he did that though, you basically let yourself move into his arms and start crying.

"I can't do this anymore, John. I want to be a teacher so bad...but I can't...I can't even get this fucking homework done." You cried into his arms, which just resulted in his arms wrapping around you, lightly rubbing your back.

He let out a soft sigh as he heard your stomach rumble. "How about, we get you some food and get you taken care of, yeah?" He suggested gently, trying to get you to calm down. He knew how you worked when you were stressed - you neglected all basic needs until the thing that was causing you stress was gone, sometimes going as far as to not shower - He didn't wait for an answer, heading for the kitchen to make you your favorite tea, and grabbing a takeout menu, considering he'd much rather order out so he could be near you in case you needed him.

“But they love you” Over and over, “They love you” Thousands and thousands of eyes just like mine Aching to find who they are "Oh, they love you! Oh, you can feel how they love you" Coated and warm but that's all they can do Words only get through if they're sharp

It'd been about a few hours now, your stomach now full of food, bed with clean sheets, and you now squeaky clean. You had fallen asleep after the shower, curled up to Price's side. He was carefully texting the group chat he was added to - by Soap, nonetheless - telling the three to only call him if needed for the next few days, not giving the reason why, but he was going to help you get back to your normal self - starting with getting you to contact your supervisor to explain the situation.

The boys all understood without even needing to be told what was going on - something with you, and you were his top priority when it was possible.

my Stephanie Brown hot take is that she should get mad bitches now that she's single in comics. Yes yes shipping BUT the one time she had sex she was punished by the narrative via teen pregnancy. I think she should be allowed to have as much sex as she wants with zero consequences. Could be a lot of sex, could be a little. Point is she should get to do it without getting narratively baby trapped this time. she should get them pregnant, actually.

Well um. It was supposed to be a sketch but then I liked it and wanted to color it. You know how it is. They're reading together, but Chara can't stop complaining about how poorly-written the characters are or something, and Frisk can barely hold in their laughter, either because of how bad the book is, or the fact that Chara's so passionate about bashing it.

Im kinda so very much out of the vivziepop helluva boss loop since its been a while since I watched anything of hers (And because spme of the writing and some of her...choices character design wise turned me off from interacting further) but one thing I will never not have in the back of my mind is how they portrayed striker* as being unreasonably petty and angry at the mistreatment of imps and that his agenda was misguided hatred.

When from what I get in lore from what I remeber that imps systematically are treated like shit and so infantilized by higher-ups that they are treated as pets so I honestly I dont blame him for being a hater as well as not understanding why anyone would--esp an imp would wanna be in cahoots with these infamously elitist classist set of assholes.

The only "Chara is Evil and is controlling Frisk to do a geno run" interpretations I wholeheartedly enjoy without nitpicking are Sans fight flipnote animations.

That's because Chara looks super cool!! They look cool and badass while fighting!! Which, good for them!! Kill that skeleton!!

i keep thinking about killer, particularly stage 2, “humanizing”/“personifying” objects like weapons knives gaster blaster and animals like cats and rabbits ect. but dehumanizing actual people either subconsciously and consciously. likely both.

and like maybe it’s because he subconsciously relates more to the idea of being a toy or object or pet, and less so to the idea of being human or monster or anything resembling that.

and of course, the dehumanizing of others is likely effected both trauma, dissociation, his meta knowledge, and coping mechanisms.

easier to kill and torture if you distance yourself from your victims by viewing them as lines of code or running on script (beliefs and views likely started and encouraged by chara)—and now it’s mostly instinct and normal to him now. perhaps even a suppressed disdain for those who are either still trapped by their codes (so are you buddy), and/or a suppressed hatred/rage for those who are more “human” or “monster-like.”

idk if that makes any sense, but like a hatred for humanity obviously. But also like a flavor of misanthropy towards Monsterkind? But he also doesn’t consider himself one of them. Perhaps he views him being neither monster nor human as yet another way he is ‘superior’ or otherwise above/different than most.

For the Tokyo Dome collab, the AR experience involves you becoming Wombat and gathering Binan High graduates to form a grass baseball lot team. You can even dive into the water of the Kurotamayu and hear a splash noise when it happens. You, 10 years in the future, might not reunite with Yumoto?! The characters put you on the spot, so if you hesitate, the characters also make statements as if they're watching you. You can see a sample of the experience here.

Okay. So Killer (New Age) lore post! Putting it immediately under the cut, because I get the feeling this will be longer-

Killer! He's the first one Nightmare takes in! He's the 'Average' one. The silver-tongued common street rat, literally snatched away from the gallows. He's obnoxiously loyal.

His story is going to be (hopefully) loosely based on his canon, but still follow a lot of the New Age conventions.

So, Killer was a straight up orphan. Like, abandoned as a babybones on the steps of a temple. Temples would often double as orphanages, if you dropped a kid at the right one. (Killer had a malformed soul from birth. Didn't affect him at all, just looked weird.) So Killer? He was raised religious, basically. Worshipping the deity which was most prominent at the time (which for this era, Nim was largely the one being worshipped as though a god. Like Rome worshipping the Emperor), a very strict environment, a very lonely one as there weren't many other kids, and a fairly violent upbringing. The people there were Not proper caretakers. But it was all Killer had, and running away never crossed his mind, because beyond the market, there was nothing for him that the temple couldn't give. At least, that's what he was taught. Until, of course, he met Chara (just going by the normal ut name tho I do think they're called the Player in Something New?). (Note: Killer had a different name before he left the temple.)

Killer was only 11 or 12 (he didn't really keep track) when Chara started coming with their parents to the Temple. Their parents would ditch them to talk to the adults, and Chara would try to find other things to do, to get out of their parents sight, and one day they spotted the Orphans. Killer in particular (the oldest) was their target, about their same age. And they would talk to him. At first he was hesitant, but, you know how it goes, kids are kids and they'll talk.

And over the course of several visits, Chara told Killer about the outside world. All the places and the animals (Killer told Chara that the sacrafices were all animals, very unique) and the ocean, they told him about the mountains and the towns and ships and the guard and all of it. And it got to Killer. He started wanting to go beyond the walls of the temple (he always had, but never had reason to understand that urge).

One night, Chara showed up at the temple grounds after dark, while Killer was doing his final cleaning checks, and they encouraged him to leave. to run away with them. And... well, he did. He stole a cloak from the doorway and ran off with Chara. While they were on the run, Chara from their parents and Killer from his temple, they had to do what all street-rats did. Steal, cheat, and protect themselves. Killer was the first of them to kill. it wasn't much different from sacrificing the animals on the altar, anyhow. It was just another way to get what he wanted, since the god, Nim, never had any answers to his prayers. The person he killed had recognized his name, other sects were after him now that he'd run with Chara (unbeknownst to him, Chara was meant to be a sacrifice once they were old enough). He changed his name to the skill he was good at: Killer.

And they stay like that for a long long time, never settling down, always on the move, never leaving the kingdom because doing so would make it easier to find them, two red marbles in a sea of blue ones. And Chara never got their hands dirty. it was always Killer. it was his duty to back-up Chara. he 'owed' them for getting him out of that Temple. Out of that boring life. Chara, in some way, became the center of his world, something beyond his grasp and beyond poor judgement. Beyond the flaws of any living being. And they were fine. They still did normal teenage things, they laughed, they joked, they played, they lied, they got sweet treats and split big loaves of bread. But it wasn't healthy. A parasitic relationship where Chara took and Killer gave, weighed down by an impossible debt to repay.

Then, years and years later, Killer was finally taken down by the guard. Now wanted for several counts of murder, theft, and other bad things, he was caught. This time, unlike several others, instead of breaking out like he normally did, h decided to wait and see. How long would he have to be gone for Chara to seek him out instead? And Chara left him. And left him. And didn't ever come back for him. Gone, fully, 100%. His faith broke, along with his hope. The one thing that motivated him in life had abandoned him, and he couldn't seem to bring himself to do anything anymore, because he had sacrificed all he was and wasn't enough to keep his only friend around.

In prison he talked with other people. Prisoners aren't all bad, you know, especially when they saw Killer, a young guy, looking so downtrodden. Even though he was an objectively horrible person, hearing others try to cheer him up, expecting nothing in return, was helpful.

And then, ofc, when he met Nightmare he decided he could have a ticket out of here. A weird guy who would give him a place to stay, and pay him, and he could just go and then escape like he always did? Go live his own life for the first time ever? Yeah, sounds banger.

But then, you know, he ended up finding Nightmare's situation much too interesting, and Ccino way too handsome, and his gig just a bit too cushy. But he never had blind faith again. Nightmare is unaware, but that fake faith act Killer started with quickly morphed into a faith earned through action, and care, and kindness. Killer saw and felt that Night would be willing to risk himself just as much as Killer would. (Maybe that's why he became so loyal. maybe that's why it's important that Killer came first and set that expectation for the other Knights. Maybe that's why Killer faced off against Dream and almost died, and why Nightmare ran infront of Killer to spare him that final blow and proved exactly why Killer followed him in the firstplace-)
