Yippe! Is it alright, then, if I request Romantic Toji Fushiguro with a Sorceror S/O, please? (And if not, its cool, I know you mentioned you needed to like the idea as well) Thank you very much! ^^
Toji has no content from me yet, so, I have to change that obviously.
Yandere! Toji Fushiguro with Sorcerer! Darling
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Enemies to one-sided lovers, Violence, Blood, Threats, Possessive behavior, Stalking, Kidnapping, Isolation, Sadism, Breaking of bones, Attempted mind break, Forced relationship.
This is quite the position for you.
Toji's known as the "Sorcerer Killer" for a reason.
Imagine if you were a target that Toji was paid to hunt down and kill.
At first the assassin is fully prepared to kill you.
He hates the Sorcerer world due to his past, taking down Sorcerers has never been a challenge for him.
He doesn't care what his client's motives are, a job's a job.
Until he "meets" you.
Imagine if Toji met or found his target, only to realize he doesn't want to kill them.
When he watches you from afar... maybe you remind him of someone?
For some reason he hesitates... his normally stoic and cold behavior snapping a bit.
I imagine Toji would take his time with hunting you, pretending to the client that he needs to get more info.
Which is partially true...
Toji wants to know why this Sorcerer isn't one he can kill without hesitation.
You no doubt sense something's wrong.
Perhaps you are aware people may be trying to kill you for one reason or another.
But you have no clue the infamous Sorcerer Killer is hesitating with you.
I imagine you may remind him of his late wife (regardless of gender).
As a result, he feels...regret.
It wounds his pride, yet while he yearns for the thrill of fighting, he doesn't want to make you suffer too much.
Sorcerer or not, he finds preparing to kill you a struggle.
Even when he eventually wills himself to fight you, he struggles to put his all into it.
He enjoys the thrill, though.
Perhaps some sadism does trickle through his resistance.
Once he actually fights you he tries to view you as just another Sorcerer.
It works due to his bloodlust, making him forget his personal feelings just enough to overpower you.
He recalls the blood splattering on his clothes euphoric and familiar.
Yet... he stops when he notices your weak struggling.
He really should finish the job, his blown wide eyes staring down at you.
But even now he can see you determined to save yourself, despite your bloody wounds and weak breaths.
The wide dilated eyes you give him makes him drop his blood stained weapon.
He grimaces, irritated at himself for hesitating.
Even now he isn't entirely sure why he didn't kill you earlier... or why he still won't now.
Did he watch you for so long that he got attached?
He pauses again, watching your chest heave.
Did... Did he fall for you?
He sighs deeply, what a pain.
It's then you're spared by the Sorcerer Killer.
Well... your life is...
To secure his reward he actually hides you away once finding a way to help undo his damage.
The client wouldn't care as long as you were out of the picture, right?
I imagine despite his earlier violence, Toji would allow you to heal.
Except... to keep you out of the Sorcerer world... he'd probably cripple you in some way.
Break a leg... break an arm... anything to prevent you from using your technique.
He'd probably tease and muse about your position, a sadistic glint in his eyes as he tells you you're useless to Jujutsu Society.
But... Hey... He is too, isn't he?
He finds satisfaction in the fact you have to rely on him now.
He won't kill you, never will, he doesn't have to as you're no longer a threat anymore.
He gets his money... and he gets a cute little partner too.
Even if he had you rehabilitated to the point of walking, you'll never be 100%.
Which means... you can't match his strength.
To keep you out of sight he keeps you in a private home. Perhaps a small home and away from society as a whole?
He's so used to just drifting that it takes him a little while to settle in.
He's oddly affectionate... despite him being your captor and attempted killer.
He kisses you softly, yet if you attempt to refuse he gives you time.
You'll give in at some point...
After all, he gets to keep you to himself.
You may refuse him at first, but really, can you even run?
He just took you in as a secondary prize, removing you from the public eye to wrap tightly in his arms.
You may not have died by the Sorcerer Killer...
Yet sparing you was no act of mercy in your eyes.

Good morning I have some headcanons for yall about the archives crew (mostly Martin bc I love him) in no particular order. Be warned there are some spoilers for throughout the series.
- Martin has ADHD so things like audio processing and object permanence are a challenge, and Jon being unaware of this is one of the reasons he thinks Martin is incompetent in the beginning. Because what else do you think of someone who takes twice as long to type out transcripts than his peers, or who can't focus on the follow up research assigned to him sometimes, yet other times focuses so much on it he forgets to take his lunch? Plus the man "loses" files on his desk (because to Martin he just sees a stack of uniform files and getting used to Gertrude's weird looking date-based labels as an organization system compared to the Dewey Decimal System they had in the library is damn difficult!) Upon learning he has ADHD though Jon finds that with some accommodations, Martin is actually decent at doing what he needs to for his job and feels a bit guilty for being such an ass.
- Tim was the first friend Jon made upon being hired into research which to Jon is weird because he's always had a hard time making friends (partially because he's autistic and partially because he hasn't had the routine environment to try to make friends since college). Tim is also a pretty opposite personality to him, so to Jon it felt sort of like when you meet a dog and the dog likes you *way* before you like the dog, but then he grows on you so you kinda sigh and go "Yeah yeah, we're friends"
- Sasha and Tim's hookup never grew to anything more because Sasha didn't know how to tell Tim she was aromantic without possibly hurting his feelings (meanwhile if she had just told him, he would've been fine with it and happy to be in whatever kind of relationship with her, qpp or otherwise). She never gets to tell him, so that's another reason why Tim never caught the differences between Sasha and Not!Sasha when Not!Sasha suddenly had a boyfriend (besides you know the reason that Stranger Rules that says only one person usually notices the difference).
- Jon doesn't like coffee black coffee but drinks it anyways mostly because he has always been told "if you add sugar and/or creamer to your coffee then you don't like coffee you like sugar and creamer" so to keep appearances and insisting he does like coffee, he never adds anything unless he's sure no one will see. Really, he likes black coffee with a bit of sugar because the sweetness gives the flavors something to travel on so he can appreciate them more because otherwise they're overpowered by bitterness. He doesn't like tea because drinking it feels like he's just rubbed tea leaves all over the inside of his mouth and it leaves behind a dry feeling that he hates.
- Martin's pure lonely domain wouldve been a rainy, foggy moorsland kind of environment where its very pretty but you feel like you're walking over the same hills and you feel like you see houses in the distance but you never get any closer to the chimney smoke you see peeking above the fog. You're also always damp and the air feels heavy, and you don't have an umbrella. But for just those moments when youre standing on tops of the hills, looking out to the rest of the environment though, you wonder why you'd ever want to leave somewhere so pretty, even if it is rather lonely, and far too quiet. It's a reminiscent kind of quiet, where you reflect on why you're walking alone here in the first place and not inside one of those houses in the distance with the chimney smoke... and then you keep walking because maybe if you make it there, they'll be kind and let you inside, and you can shake off all of this chilly dampness by their fireplace and company.
- Danny is Tim's best kept secret after he dies. Tim stops talking about his family after that, gets really quiet when the topic is brought up in conversation, but he's still careful not to look upset even if his shoulders tense a bit when he smiles and says something along the lines of "Nah, I don't have much family anymore" when he's asked. Their parents passed away some time after Danny was gone (by natural causes), and Tim never forgave himself for not being able to get back at whatever killed him before they passed, so he doesn't feel it's right to be allowed to talk about them until he does, like some kind of mission he has to finish before he can let himself grieve properly.
- Peter and Elias either are or were married, but with the way they act its very hard to tell if they are actually divorced or just on the brink of it because of how they interact with one another, leading to the rumor that they keep divorcing and getting remarried frequently spreading around the office. Elias knows it frustrates Peter to have attention on them like that so he doesn't stop the rumors, and sometimes actively encourages them when they're in another one of their "divorced" periods. Peter doesn't actually ever fully leave though because he considers the relationship more transactional and useful, than anything nearing "love". They have their soft moments together though, brief little moments of understanding, very privately, and never discussed again after they happen. Elias misses him after he dies, even if Peter was trying to get him killed.
- Tim could've gone Desolation if the idea of serving an entity didn't disgust him. Choosing to serve an entity is a choice that you have to make, and Tim could see in Jon what doing that does to a person, and what people serving the Stranger did to his brother (even if he didnt know exactly what it was). Even if Jon didn't really start accepting being The Archivist until after his coma, Tim was alive before then and knew that it had changed him. Plus experiencing some of the other entities (being attacked by "worms", being in the tunnels, being in Michael's hallways, dealing with Jon's paranoia and stalking, being in the unknowing and seeing what happened to Danny), he has seen what kinds of effects these entities have on people. The Desolation likely did call out to him in that moment of the explosion, and he spat in its face because he'd literally rather die than ever give himself to something like that.
- Personally, I like big but short Martin who is a bit stronger than he looks because of hefting around file boxes in the archives. I imagine "the stacks" being a bunch of shelves sort of like a library but instead of books, there are boxes that fit in, with the files inside of them, but they're left a bit open and uncovered because air flow and climate controlled environment. I don't know if that's how it works bit that's how I imagine it. And then there's a lot of file boxes sort of stacked on top of one another on the ground and stacks of files also on the ground because that archive is an unrealistic mess and sort of ridiculous. But yeah. Big but short Martin who has some hidden muscle.
- Honestly if I imagine them all standing next to each other, Tim is the tallest, Sasha is only an inch or 2 inches shorter, Jon is a bit shorter than Sasha, like up to her shoulder, and Martin is the shortest and needs help getting things off the top shelves from the other three because he wobbles too much on the step ladder and it makes him nervous (another reason Jon likely finds him a bit irritating in the beginning).
- Jon's hair starts off short and very proper but grows out a bit in season 2 because he's too busy being paranoid to take care of himself. He gets a haircut when staying with Georgie in S3, and then his hair grows out a bit again while he's kidnapped, and he doesn't cut it again before The Unknowning. It grows to his shoulders during his coma. He doesn't take that good of care of it leaves it long until the Buried, where he has to cut it all off. He doesn't cut it again and he takes à bit better care of it after being rejected by Martin. It grows abnormally quickly leading to it being past his shoulders and with some natural curl by the time he and Martin do actually run away to the safe house. He wears it up most of the time during S5.
- Martin's hair is loosely curly and a ginger orange or strawberry blonde but fades to white as he gets pulled further into the Lonely by Peter Lukas. When hes working in the office under Peter and Jon asks him to run away together, its very washed out but not fully white, and when Jon rescues him from Peter's Lonely, it is pure white, and slowly fades back to its natural color once they are together and they get to the safe house, though a patch of it remains pure white up in the front of his hair, as if he had Poliosis. In his s5 domain when he's talking to himself, Lonely!Martin continues to have fully white hair.
- I have more but this is already pretty long so I'll stop here and if people care about this I'll answer asks or do another one.

18 for all of them...........👀
18. What embarrasses them? Salvadore: Not as much as one might think. He is relatively hard to discompose. When someone misbehaves in ways irritating to him, he more often reacts calmly and condescendingly and turns the tables to humiliate them if he can. Also, as those not knowing him well might not be aware of: He has a dark sense of humor and a weakness for certain kinds of pranks in case someone pulls them cleverly. He also enjoys (and returns) witty remarks aimed to tease. If things get too over the top silly, he may lose interest and go back to work, though, unless you manage to bring him into a silly mood too and this only happens in private settings and with the people he allows close in a specific way. He’s not bothered by sexual innuendos, doesn't hesitate to use harsher language than usual when a situation requires it, and has no problems withstanding unpleasant tension – he may even enjoy it, should the other person struggle with it. To embarrass him, you need his trigger points. Find something he does not know about a topic important to him (hard) and show that he lacks information. Alternatively, ruin one of his plans / speeches / meetings / whatever so he looks incompetent without giving him a chance to save the situation. Or make fun of him in a way that actually bothers him for this reason or that. Of course, if you want to go all in and aren’t scared to cause worse than simple embarrassment (while embarrassment, humiliation even, will absolutely be part of it), there are other options too: Mock him with the things his brother did to him when he was a child in case you found out about it. Or be good enough to take away his control, overpower him physically (or by using magic), and make him feel helpless. Or bring him into a situation without his usual means where he can’t ask for support as a quit pro quo but actually has to beg for help (he may not do that though and rather dies). Rowley: Nothing. Nothing at all. That’s the problem with him. He is entirely shameless and only ever plays with the embarrassment of others. Eneas: It’s hard to embarrass Eneas. He went through too much that required him to get rid of all pride in certain moments. It taught him that pride usually serves little purpose. He doesn’t have the slightest problem to bow or kneel or to say whatever gets him what he wants or needs. When he’s attacked in a way he can’t immediately escape, he switches into a calm but submissive role, not challenging the strength of the opponent until the very moment he sees the opportunity to disarm or kill them with one single counter strike (figuratively or literally). Superficial insults and provocations? Childish, they won’t cause much at all. The only embarrassment happening to him here and there is secondhand embarrassment when people act in ways he considers overly blunt, annoying, disgusting, or just unpleasant. Rowley manages from time to time. Cian:
Cian is prideful but can swallow his pride if he truly must to achieve his goals or if has no choice left. Nonetheless, he feels intense embarrassment when it comes to it.
He hates it to be ungraceful and tries to always stay in control over himself. It also strongly embarrasses him to make a mistake and to be witnessed before he can resolve it or if someone catches him not knowing something he’s supposed to know in his opinion. He needs to be perceived as smart and independent at all times or it might kill him. Connected to this, Cian is absolutely terrible at asking for help and would rather struggle all alone than go through the humiliating process of showing that he failed or needs a supporting hand in it.

When your personal failures as a player become almost as entertaining as the game itself...
This is a series now. What the fuck?
Characters: Astarion, Tav, Gale, Lae'zel, Shadowheart
Pairings: pre-Bloodweave
Rating: M
Summary: Camp should be a place to rest and recharge. But after recent events, tempers are running as high as the stakes. An erotic dream, a nightly feeding ritual, and a sudden explosion of drama. Will someone please pay for these people to go to therapy?
or
Astarion has absolutely had it with Tav.
Why Does He Hate Me So Much?
The crackling of the campfire is the most subtle of ambient noises, yet more than enough to cover the sound of his silent footsteps. A ridiculous ritual, the way the four of them huddle around it each night, bedrolls stacked almost end to end in a circle. The only one who doesn’t have their own tent is Tav, child of the wilderness that he is. But that’s hardly an excuse to make everyone else sleep out in the open.
There are stupid games that go along with this ritual. On clear nights, Tav encourages everyone to gaze up at the night sky and name stars, find constellations. When the sky is cloudy or there is no sky at all, he forces everyone to tell stories. All petty emotional drivel. But Tav is so predictable. Ignorant, self-important, bleeding heart of a fool that he is.
Astarion despised him from the moment he first laid eyes on Tav. His homespun sincerity is revolting. His open honesty anathema to everything Astarion is and aspires to be. By rights, Tav should be ridiculously easy to manipulate. And yet, he did not respond as expected to the mirror pantomime. At first, his sympathy was insulting, and then. Well, he just did as Astarion told him to do. “You’re beautiful.” Of course he is beautiful. The unimaginative boor didn’t even attempt a more florid compliment. That’s just plain insulting.
Astarion should have killed Tav when he first clapped eyes on him. In fact, he would have if it hadn’t been for the girls. If it had just been Shadowheart, he could have overpowered her easily and made a quick meal of both of them, but Lae’zel… Astarion had been so relieved to be quit of her shortly after that. Because Lae’zel can neither be fooled nor sweet-talked. Her mind is like her unsightly alien visage: crude and obscenely obtuse. She is far too literal for Astarion’s refined and subtle ways. And she is strong. She would have torn his lovely head from his shoulders in a moment.
Why this formidable warrior chooses to follow an empty-headed, good-natured git like Tav is beyond Astarion. Where does the loyalty come from? What does she see in him? Well, his physique is…adequate. But surely that can’t be all. Actually, it might be. Lae’zel is a shockingly simple person. But why fawn over an imbecile like Tav when there’s a superior specimen like Astarion within arm’s reach?
These thoughts all flit by in a moment. This is all part of his nightly ritual, where Astarion reminds himself just how much he hates Tav before he feeds on him. Granted, he doesn’t need any more motivation than the endless, unslakable hunger that torments him, but Astarion likes to look down at that sleeping face and wish it ill. He enjoys it, really. Too much of Astarion’s day now is spent pretending to be cordial and agreeable. Someone has to pay for that.
It is this thought which finally makes him crouch down, slinking closer to his prey on hands and knees, fangs bared. There will be no challenge to his feeding tonight. One of the many things Tav does not know and will never question is how Astarion is able to feed on him without waking him now. Every child knows you don’t grant a vampire permission–but not this oafish buffoon, apparently. The more Astarion feeds on Tav, the more control he has over the tiefling, the easier it is to lie to him, to enthrall him, to make him do whatever Astarion wants. Even now, he can cut off Tav’s senses, prevent him from hearing, feeling, waking as Astarion’s fangs pierce his flesh and he drinks his fill.
There was a time he worried that Tav’s stupidity might dim his own wits if he fed from the druid too often. That, however, proved not to be the case. Thankfully. Can you imagine being so dull? He’d sooner go back to stalking the forest for his nightly kill. That bear had been quite enjoyable, in fact.
Across the camp, there is movement, and Astarion’s glowing eyes flick toward it, even as he gorges himself on mouthfuls of Tav’s thick, too hot, half-devil blood. But it’s just Gale. Betimes he likes to watch this nightly ritual. Intriguing behavior which Astarion does not mind one bit, because Gale has the good manners not to interrupt.
He watches now, silently, standing in the shadows cast by the flickering campfire, hands at his sides. One day he will do more than watch. Astarion is certain of it, and he relishes the possibilities. Knowing he has an audience, Astarion plays it up a bit, growling softly as if Gale is a rival predator threatening his kill, gouging Tav’s bedroll with clawed fingers before grabbing his barrel of a chest and jerking the large body closer to his in one feral movement.
The intellectual corner of his mind knows it is time to stop drinking. Tav will be dizzy and sluggish in the morning; he has been feeding Astarion every night for the last week. A stupidly altruistic arrangement which Astarion happily takes advantage of. Let the fool kill himself with his own morally superior generosity.
Gale’s eyes reflect the firelight darkly. Is he aroused by this? Well, who wouldn’t be, really? Every mortal secretly shivers with delight at the thought of a vampire’s kiss. And yet, knowing that it’s Gale Dekarios watching him…enjoying the view…it sends a small thrill through Astarion as well.
He’ll never give Tav the satisfaction of proving the idiot’s theory that he is in fact somewhat of a fan of the famous wizard. Like everything else about Astarion, that’s none of Tav’s fucking business. But it is true. When he was alive, Astarion enjoyed following the wizard’s legendary exploits. To think that very same wizard pitches his tent right next to his own each night now…
Unexpectedly, he is jolted from his reverie by a lascivious moan–and it’s not his own. Not Gale either, sadly. It’s bloody Tav. He knew the chaste do-gooder would succumb to his animal magnetism eventually. And it makes sense–it’s insulting, but it does make sense–that it’s Astarion’s feral side that has inspired such a reaction in Tav. He is a thrice-damned beast-fucking druid, after all.
“Let me…touch you,” he mutters, and Astarion is right off his food. He recoils at the request, seriously considering backhanding Tav for even presuming to ask. But not while Gale is watching. Astarion hasn’t worked out yet exactly what Gale thinks of Tav. He might lose points with the wizard for harming the tiefling, and that just won’t do.
As he sits back on his haunches, the sleeping Tav moans again, and Astarion is not displeased to see how Tav’s body has reacted to him tonight. He has no interest in it, of course, but it’s gratifying just the same to see he’s still got it. Truthfully he was beginning to wonder if Tav was some sort of eunuch, the way he showed absolutely no interest in any of them.
Of course, he claims to have paternal feelings for all of them, but that’s not only repulsive, it's complete rubbish. No one feels warm and paternal for strangers they meet on the road, even if they have all just been infected by ilithid parasites. And how dare Tav suggest he could possibly be fatherly in any way to a superior being more than a century older than his big purple self? The mere thought is preposterous. Utterly.
Tav never consulted any of them first to see if they were remotely interested in having such a relationship with him, or wanted an unwashed druid father-type constantly fussing over them. Astarion would personally rather die. Again.
Shadowheart, of course, completely fell for it. She’s a needy mess, though, that one. Hardly a challenge. Her tragic orphan backstory fits too perfectly with Tav’s do-gooder, adopting lost children persona. Of course she has a daddy complex. Astarion wouldn’t touch Shadowheart’s open psychological wounds with a ten foot pole. Those two deserve one other.
But Tav is still talking in his sleep, muttering, “I won’t fail you. I swear it.”
And suddenly Astarion knows exactly who he’s dreaming about. He throws his head back in a high-pitched giggle, quickly muffling his laughter so as not to wake the others. Delicious. The big buffoon is enamored of their dream visitor.
Astarion knows, because their patron did visit them earlier this evening when he was waiting for the others to fall asleep. They’d had an edifying conversation, as usual, which had ended with the astral prisoner charging them not to make his efforts be in vain.
In speaking with the others, Astarion has discovered they always have the same dream, though the visitor appears differently to each of them. A githyanki dragon rider for Lae’zel, a tall, rugged tiefling for Shadowheart (really, that daddy complex is the size of a city ward), and a sweet-faced half elven youth for Tav. He would be that type. No doubt Astarion looks too old for his tastes. Gale of Waterdeep sees the visitor as his estranged goddess and lover, and Astarion…has been careful not to reveal the form the visitor takes with him. It’s hardly any of their business who he sees commanding him in his mind’s eye.
But the real question is…why is Tav still dreaming of his fey-blooded boy now? The visitor has gone. He must have quite the infatuation, for his tiny mind to still be worrying at this little morsel. The demonic glee that fills him to find such a weakness in their self-appointed leader. What fun Astarion will have tormenting him about his stereotypical crush: the noble knight desperately in love with his liege lord. Pathetic.
“Get away from him, or I’ll spill your innards on the ground at your feet.”
He’s shaken from his machinations by the glaring cat’s eyes of their githyanki escort. Her instincts are remarkable, but Astarion turns the gas lights up high, out of habit. “Lae’zel, I’m hurt. You know I’d never do anything to harm our darling Tav.”
She props herself up on one elbow and gestures with a large hunting knife. “He’s still bleeding, shka’keth. If you’re going to lie openly, do it well. I suggest you close the wounds as you usually do. He deserves at least that much for his foolish sacrifice.”
Astarion tilts his shoulders, defensive, posing. “Well, in that at least we are agreed.” Not that Tav deserves even the smallest amount of kindness, but that the tiefling druid is a fool.
“‘s going on?” Shadowheart sits up, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.
“The is’tark has used Tav again for his supper, and seems to find amusement in letting him continue to bleed into the dirt.”
Shadowheart is suddenly wide awake. “No, Tav!” She begins to crawl toward him, her fingertips glowing with divine light.
“Stop!” Astarion hisses, throwing out a hand to keep her at bay. “Don’t touch him while he’s under my control.” These magics don’t mix well, to say the least.
“Under your control?” Her wide, innocent eyes darken as shadows race across her pale face. “Release him! Immediately!”
“Friends, please. I believe this is all a simple misunderstanding.” Thank the gods for Gale. If not for him, Astarion would have abandoned this motley crew of imbeciles days ago.
“I must relieve myself.” Disinterested in the camp drama, Lae’zel stalks off into the darkness alone to do her business.
“Don’t you take his side,” the cleric tells Gale hotly. “He admitted to having Tav in thrall!”
“That’s quite the accusation to be tossing around,” Gale remarks calmly. “The vampire has to keep Tav still when he feeds so as not to hurt him. He promised our friend there would be no pain, nor interruption to his sleep.” Keen eyes flick to meet Astarion’s crimson ones. “Isn’t that right, Astarion?”
He sits up straight, looking deeply offended that Shadowheart should accuse him of such villainy. “As I said,” he replies. “I would never harm our darling Tav. He’s kind enough to indulge me so that I can be stronger in the morning. The better to support all of you, of course.” A beatific smile and awkward laugh accompanies these words. She’ll believe it; she has so far.
“Then there’s nothing wrong if I do this.” With a defiant look, Shadowheart reaches across Tav and heals the bite marks closed. Her divine magic sparks against Astarion’s blood magic, and Tav wakes, immediately.
“Here.” Lae’zel appears out of nowhere, handing Tav a jug of fruit juice, from the smell of it. It turns Astarion’s stomach. Both the fawning gesture and the smell of fresh fruit.
“Oh.” Tav stares at it, his dim wits even more dull with blood loss and first waking. And then he does the thing Astarion despises to the roots of his soul: he looks straight at him and asks, “What’s wrong?”
Tav is constantly asking all of them a variation on this theme. Are you alright? How are you feeling? What can I do to help? It makes Astarion positively sick. And just now, he’s too annoyed to mask it.
“Oh, am I supposed to confide in you? Just because you’re a kind soul and purport to care about my well-being? Really, darling. Is that genuinely what you were expecting?”
“Astarion.” Gale’s tone is a warning. Don’t ruin a good thing.
Utterly perplexed, Tav looks to the girls. “What did I do?”
“Nothing,” Lae’zel replies, flatly.
“He had you under some dark enchantment!” Shadowheart accuses, determined to be daddy’s favourite.
Tav looks back at him. “Astarion wouldn’t do that,” he says with frightening certainty. “We have an agreement. I trusted him, and I know in my heart he won’t betray that trust.”
Lae’zel nearly spits out the grog she was in the midst of drinking. Shadowheart looks at Tav as if his naivete has finally caused him to lose some of her respect. Feeling more than adequately insulted for one night, and disgusted by the whole charade, Astarion scoffs and stalks off toward his tent.
Behind him, he can hear Gale speaking to Tav. “Maybe it’s better you let me deal with Astarion for a while.”
“Be my guest.” There’s frustration in Tav’s saintly voice now. “I wish I understood why he seems to hate me so much.”
“You shouldn’t have turned him in to the Gur.”
Gale Dekarios is defending him to the stupid oaf. Him. And he’s saying everything Astarion has been holding back for days in an attempt to play nice and keep himself surrounded by vaguely useful meat shields. He imagines his heart threatening to beat again as Astarion slips inside his tent to eavesdrop. This is almost better than sex.
“I didn’t,” Tav says, defensive.
He knows full well what he did was unforgivable. So much for being the noble hero. So much for loyalty and trust, Mr. ‘What’s wrong?’
“I wasn’t going to let him take Astarion. He’s still one of us. I know he was acting on orders when he did that. But Gandrel deserved to know the face of the man who took his children.”
“We don’t know that they’re dead.” Gale is still defending him. Astarion is so pleased and flattered, he’s almost…aroused.
“Oh, please!” Of course Shadowheart would take Tav’s side. “What else would a vampire lord want with little children?”
There is a beat of silence as the conversation takes this inevitable plunge into darkness. All five of them know what Cazador did with those children.
“I do not make it a habit to speak for other men,” Gale says softly. “But I truly believe Astarion feels bad for it.”
He’s dead wrong; Astarion doesn’t give a damn about children. Awful things! But is it hot in here? He searches for an ivory folding fan he purloined from a jeweled chest in the monastery.
On the other side of camp, Tav’s voice surges to a roar, and Astarion freezes in place. “He should feel bad about murdering people’s children!” It is a sudden and shocking transformation not unlike when Tav explodes into an owlbear. Astarion peers out from behind the tent flap to see their kind, generous, and patient leader shaking with rage before he stalks into the forest alone.
Good. It’s only what he deserves.
“Tav!” Astarion watches as Gale catches Shadowheart’s arm before she can go running off into the forest to soothe her favourite tiefling.
“I’m sorry, my dear, but there are dark places within a man’s heart into which he should not be pursued. Let’s leave our Tav to his thoughts for now.”
“But!” She is so eager to go to him. Weak-willed. Pathetic.
“Just…for now.” Gale nods, firm in his pronouncement.
“Come.” Lae’zel takes her hand and draws Shadowheart back to the fire. “Let us shoot dice to pass the time. I do not believe any of us will return to our slumber soon.”
As Gale returns to his tent, Astarion ducks back into hiding. And listens to the wizard’s bespoke boots making their way straight toward him. His footfalls pause outside the vampire spawn’s tent. Astarion only hesitates a moment. “Thank you, Gale. It’s nice to know at least one person in this party appreciates me.”
“You are a formidable opponent, and a valuable ally. Morality is an odd thing; a bit primitive, one might say. Such codes don’t really apply to people like you and me.”
With a sly smile, Astarion steps out to join Gale. “Hear, hear.”
“Copper for your thoughts?”
Astarion is so annoyed, he breathes. He still forgets sometimes that he doesn’t have to do that anymore. “Do you think he hates me? He really should, by now, you know. I actually hope he does. Do your worst, troglodyte!” He poses, defiant, addressing the direction in which Tav disappeared, but not speaking so loud that the girls will hear him. He’s had enough of arguing for one night.
“No, I think he cares about you. Otherwise he wouldn't be so upset.”
“Well, fuck. ”
But Gale’s not finished. “I think he cares about all of us. For some reason…” The wizard sounds just as puzzled by the phenomenon.
“What in the hells am I supposed to do with that?” There’s an unpleasant sensation in the back of Astarion’s throat. He doesn’t like it, and nearly tells Gale to take back what he just said.
“That, my pointy-toothed friend, is entirely up to you.” As usual, Gale is not sorry. Astarion respects that about him. “And now I will say good night.”
“Good night to you, darling.” He waits for Gale to disappear into his own tent before slipping silently into the forest. He needs to kill something now. Just because. Only one of many things the others will never be able to understand about him. And Astarion is fine with that. Really. Ready or not, here I come.

I agree about your two last asks regarding gojo. I can understand how op characters might struggle to connect with other people, but this character trope has been done so many times, that I don’t believe it’s impossible for them to actually find a connection with someone who’s just an ordinary person. Gojo has always had the ability to make that connection with other people, he just didn’t believe it’s possible for him, because yknow he’s sooooo above them *eye roll*... I don’t hate or even dislike how gojos arc was executed, cause the set up was there. Gege was always open about what kind of person gojo is and just how flawed his philosophy was. So narrative and characterisation wise, his arc makes sense. I DO think it’s a well executed arc. The only thing that personally bothers me is that… I really liked gojo for his flaws, but in the end they don’t actually seem to matter, because they were never really challenged (?) he got out of his box, he didn't give much of a reaction to his plans completely falling apart right in front of him (which… fine ok I guess he always had other priorities) or didn't even acknowledge megumi's situation beyond what it meant for the fight, went to have a fun fight, had fun and died. The end. so, at least to me, it feels like he completely got away with dealing with any consequences of his actions. They don’t matter anymore, his character reach his final destination. so as much as l genuinely appreciated gojo for his flaws… I don’t know how to feel about his character now. Right now, he’s just an overpowered guy who’s been struggling with an identity crisis for the past decade, until a stronger and smarter guy showed up (smarter because well… he kinda did outsmart him in the end) and gave him an answer by dethroning him of his title of the strongest (aka brutally murdering him). so all in all… his arc feels quite underwhelming… I mean it’s a good arc, but I wasn’t blown away lol there wasn’t much of an emotional impact for me AND THERE COULDVE BEEN, cause there are things gege could’ve tackled and developed better, but that’s on me I guess. I too in a way fell for the hype of gojo satoru, so I did end up having some expectations. I can only be glad that my actual fav here (Sukuna) has still place in the narrative and gege has kept his symbolism and philosophy rather tightly guarded, which doesn’t really leave us much room for expectations, since there’s very little we know about him. Honestly I’m just happy that the plot can finally (hopefully) move forward.
yes to everything. thank you for writing this <3
i also appreciate gojou for his flaws because i also thought something would be done with them narratively. i would've also preferred if his worldview got challenged actually and if he had to actually deal with the consequences of his actions a beliefs. now the kids will have to.
i wonder what this story would've been like if gege didn't decide to speed run it at some point. i wish i knew why they want to finish is as quickly as possible so badly.

I would say for the S tier, it is primarily intangible things - Shadows of Valentia just looks better than its peers, and has great characters. I love Celica, I love Berkut, Alm's little buddy squad are fun, etc. And I find its philosophy of map design to be more "me", generally tighter maps with more focused "challenge points" instead of like unit spam a la Blazing Sword or later Awakening.
Sacred Stones is just so smooth of a game, it is fun at every moment. Each map leads into the next with little twists and evolutions, the overworld gives you a sense of place and scope, route choices are impactful and add replay (i like how the stories are actually different, its cute). And it is as "difficult" as you want it to be - your starter unit Seth is hilariously overpowered, so if you are in trouble he can always bail you out, but if you want a challenge you just don't use him, he is a pre-promote and just one guy after all. Seth is good game design, that is right come at me bros - particularly in the era of permadeath sans rewind mechanics.
I don't hate Fates, the c-tier is a honest c-tier, I would have put it in F tier if it was that bad. It has better combat design than Awakening, I actually love pair up as a concept as a way to make gameplay out of the support system and Fates improves that. I may want to yeet Camilla into the sun but a lot of the character designs are fun, the map aesthetics in particular are really good, it avoids repetition really effectively there which some FE games struggle with. Also I liked petting my waifus in the skinship minigame blessed fucked up Japan
But each route has something really wrong with it, such that none can truly work for me, and you need some way of playing the game that shines. Birthright's route is just dull, almost by design, with repetitive map design and a bland story. It is the least offensive at least. Conquest's route has the worst story in any FE game, the protagonist is a sack of bricks and also a war criminal, I actively want Corrin to die. And the merged route has, as mentioned, the worst map design in any modern FE game, just painful to get through. Which is annoying as someone who likes "completing" a team in an endgame, since you really wanna do that in the route that gives you all the characters. These games are still fundamentally FE and execute on gameplay fundamentals enough to be fun to play, but the missteps are too glaring for me to ignore.
👀 are you interested in fire emblem and would you tell us your opinions of the franchise, I’d be very interested
I do like Fire Emblem! I have played FE6-8, smatterings of 9-10 (never owned them, played with friends), and all the games past Awakening/13. I did also play a bit of FE1, no shade on the limitations of the time of course but it sucks, not worth playing. So I am not a grand FE master but I have a lot of exposure to it.
I admire Fire Emblem for its simplicity of design & stakes - the combat system is "hit enemy, deal damage based on attack power - defense" kind of stuff, how everything works is super clear. All the complexity emerges on top of that. Your army is all individual people, permadeath means you need to pursue strategies with a lot of care such that difficulty doesn't get trivialized even if it is still easy (there is a big gap between "my odds of losing are 5% - exciting, I'm doing well!" and "my odds of losing are 0% - boring, why can't I skip this"). When it is doing its best you have a squad of guys with clear stakes and challenges that are overcome via smart kiting and tanking, it is rarely "did you equip the White Hooded Cat Ears to a unit with the Lapis Pendant to double proc a high initiative archer with Glacial Rain for opening gambit AOE freeze spam to prevent Featherknight Magic Guard from activating?" Which to be clear can also be a ton of fun, each game should just be its own thing - FE is just often best-in-class at its niche.
Fire Emblem also has great aesthetics, it aims for that "classy" style of fantasy typically and everyone authentically buys into all that nobility medieval stuff, which for a video game story can be fun vibes. I love their character designs, normally it is a game series with the right level of fanservice (Camilia -_-), and as someone who enjoys romance sideplots in video games FE typically gives you fun sidequests along those lines that sometimes has gameplay implications to boot - I loved the "eugenics simulator" of FE Awakening, as the fans affectionately called its system of child units inheriting traits from parent units. Tharja you are gonna torture Gaius for eternity via marriage because your faildaughter Noire needs Galeforce, I don't wanna hear any god damn objections okay?
As a series it is far from perfect, as anything running this long must be. The plots are normally "meh", in particular the series just doesn't care about logic that much? People do dumb shit alllll the time; FE7's plot is an absolute mess, Three House's story is hung together by macguffins and asspulls, and so on. It is better when it is simpler - in FE6, our boy Roy has gotta beat a bad guy, he conquering the world with dragons, oh no - great, no notes. More modern games need more involved plots due to market demand, but FE has not yet mastered it imo.
More modern games have also stacked complexity on the combat system - skills that proc, squads that attach to units, most recently "Engage rings" that buff and give spells. These can be good! The thing is the simplicity of say FE6 gets boring over so many hours, what works for a 10 hour game gets stale over 40, you need to grow. Sometimes they do that well - I thought Three Houses generally was smart on this front, the skills are more passive, the squads and gambits were (generally, they fucked up on movement buffs) flexible and didn't break things while giving you toys to play with. But Engage, while a good game, did get too complicated by half with many of its systems, and Awakening literally broke itself with pair-up & stacked skill procs, you can easily trivialize the whole game. And meanwhile to spike difficulty they would give every random enemy fighter different lethal skill procs that you would have to triple check every turn, a problems-beget-problems moment. But! I like that they are experimenting. Would have been real easy to capitalize on the success of Three Houses and just repeat it with Engage, but they didn't.
Also while permadeath is conceptually good, restarting a whole map because of a cheese crit is fucking awful, and I am glad modern games have time reset systems to obviate that. I do not play the older games without an emulator that can save state.
Tier listing the games I have played, lets see:
S Tier: Sacred Stones, Shadows of Valentia
A Tier: Three Houses, Blazing Sword
B Tier: Awakening, Engage, Binding Blade
C Tier: Fates
Edelgard best girl, and I think that covers it!

the one where you and harry are keeping a secret from your brother, who happens to hate harry’s guts.
author’s note : hello everyone! i'm back with another fic, one that i can't believe i wrote so quickly to say the least. this is part of @harrystylescherry‘s playlist challenge. i chose drive on by miss charlotte clark because it is an amazing song, and i can only hope that i’ve don't it justice.
word count : 13.9k of a lot of angst, smut and only a tiny bit of fluff. i really don't know what happened to me.
please talk to me about drive on here. let me know what you think :)
But if we parted I'd be half-hearted So I'll leave the light on
As you were getting ready that evening, you knew that you were going to have to try your hardest to not show that you were absolutely dreading what was about to happen. The light sounds of Fleetwood Mac filled your room as you finished making sure that you looked okay. It seemed as though the longer that you looked at yourself in the mirror, the more you started to doubt that you actually looked okay.
You tilted your head to the side as you looked in the mirror, running your eyes up and down your own body as if to check that you’re at least presentable. Your outfit wasn’t too out of the ordinary, just a pair of black, flared trousers and a white knitted jumper because you knew that it is going to be quite chilly and you are going to be outside for a large portion of the evening and you make sure to pair it with some white trainers, ones that match so you start to feel a little more put together. Even though it certainly wasn’t the most out there outfit, it was okay and you had to keep reminding yourself of that.
Walking down the stairs, you could hear the mumbling of your brother, Isaac, in the kitchen, along with someone else’s voice that you immediately recognise as Daisy, your best friend. You’re not exactly surprised at their discussion, because whenever they’re alone in a room together you know that it doesn’t usually end up with them discussing sunshine and rainbows. The more you think about it, the more you struggle to determine which one out of the two of them is more stubborn, because they both are just as stubborn as each other.
“Baby sis!” You try not to roll your eyes at your brother’s greeting, “Where the fuck do you think you’re going?”
“We’re coming with you.” You respond, walking forward so that you can greet your friend with a hug. You knew that it was going to be a long shot of him letting you come with him, but if Daisy was too you knew that he wouldn’t be able to say no, and that’s why you go with her every single time. It’s how you’re cheated the system of having an overprotective brother.
“I thought you were going to Daisy’s for a sleepover?” He questions, and you nod your head.
“I am.” You smile, “But after.”
You walk over to grab yourself a bottle of water out of the fridge because you know that if you look at him in the eyes he’ll be staring at you in a way that you could do without. You know that he’s only saying the things that he is because he’s protective of you, but you also have to keep reminding him that it wasn’t the first time that you had gone out and been to a race with him, and it certainly wasn’t going to be the last.
Chugging down a bit of the water, Daisy extends her arm out to you and you pass the bottle to her, watching as she takes a sip before passing it back to you so that you can put the cap on. Even though you have been to the races before, that certainly didn’t meant that every time you did go you found yourself being more and more nervous for what you’re going to witness. It’s dangerous, and sometimes you feel a though you’re the only one out of all of them to notice that.
“Every fucking time.” Isaac shakes his head and you smile.
“Thank you.” You had an obnoxious grin on your face as you say the words, and you know it.
“Yeah, well. . .” He shakes his head, “Just come on and let’s get in the fucking car.”
The first time you went to one of the races, you remember not being able to focus on anything other than the fact that anyone could get really injured, or even die, at any second if they’re not careful. Maybe you were just too overly cautious, and you couldn’t ever find yourself focusing on the thrill and excitement of it all because you were too worried that someone was going to get hurt. It was even worse when the person you were worried about was someone you cared about like you did your brother.
“One of these days you will take me without putting up a fight.” You say, following him towards his car, “I don’t know when it will be but I can feel it.”
He looks at you as he opens his door, “That’s never going to happen. For one, I hate that you even come to where the races are held, more so that you stand and watch them.”
You shrug and climb in the car, “Mum and Dad don’t know that you race, and if they’re not able to be there and worry about your safety then I am going to be the one to do so. Can’t have you risking your life and at least not one of us being there.”
He shakes his head and tuts, “I’m not risking my life. It’s just competitive driving.”
You furrow your eyebrows and you hear Daisy chuckle, “You’re delusional.”
“Says you.”
The two of you hear a tut coming from the back seat, “I know the two of you are siblings, and this is just what I have to deal with, but sometimes I really do wonder whether or not you’re children hidden in fully grown bodies.”
“I’m not the child.” Isaac’s quick to say, “If anything, you’re the child!”
“Really?” You shake your head, “You must know that you saying that basically proving everything! You’re the child, Isaac.”
“God, I wish I’d never said anything.” Daisy shakes her head and you cross your arms over your chest, pouting slightly but trying not to make it too obvious because you really were trying to be the adult in this situation.
You and Isaac weren’t the closest of siblings, to say the least. The two of you never did much together and if you did it wasn’t voluntarily, but that didn’t mean that you didn’t care for each other because you certainly did. The two of you would protect each other without any hesitation, in any situation because that was the type of siblings that you were. That didn’t mean that you were friends, though, because you didn’t have to be. You loved each other, and you cared for each other, but you didn’t have to be friends with each other and you were both okay with that. It was was though you both had an unspoken agreement that you’d look out for each other in this way.
Turning onto the ever so familiar field, you know that it isn’t going to be long before your heart rate is going to feel as though it is beating out of your chest and your palms are going to start to get sweaty. You believed that you brother was good at what he did, he wouldn’t have gotten as far as he had if he didn’t, but even if someone is as good and as talented as he was that didn’t meant that accidents don’t happen.
There isn’t just that fact that your brother is good at the sport to contend with, but also the fact that some people who do it may not be as good as he is, and they could be reckless, and in drag racing, recklessness gets people in trouble. You knew that, he knew that and everyone who participated and watched knew that. You knew that there were some people there just to watch the race whilst getting drunk with their friends and you didn’t mind that because that was what it was there to do, but you couldn’t stand the people who were there in hopes that something did go wrong, just to see a little bit of action in their boring day to day lives.
You supposed that a part of your worry for these games were because you weren’t just worried about your brother, you were worried about somebody else also. Isaac stopped the car so that you and Daisy could get out but you hesitated before doing so. You looked at him, and he nodded at you so you nodded your head and again and got out. You stood and watched as he drove away, making his wear to where all of the participants line up their cars before it starts.
Your eyes follow him, all the way along the man-made little road on the field and to where the other cars were. That’s when you see him, stood in exactly the same place as he was a few weekends before this one and a few weekends before that, leant against his car and his arms crossed as he chewed some gum.
The insides of your stomach flutter, and not in nervousness but instead in the complete opposite way. He catches your eyes straight away, raising his eyebrows at you as you smile at him. You nod your head, trying hard not to let too big of a blush cover your cheeks and he nods back. That’s as far as your interaction with Harry can go at the moment, because if anyone saw the two of you communicating you knew that all hell would break loose and you certainly didn’t want to be around to see that.
The race was going to start any second, and you made your way over to where Daisy was stood, knowing that she would have saved you a spot next to her so that you didn’t have to try and manoeuvre your way through the crowd to get a good spot to watch. You were relieved that you had arrived here not early enough to have to wait hours like you had before, because it was in the time like that where the overpowering feeling of worry was able to slip into you like nothing else and you would try really hard to overpower it but the majority of the time you never felt as though you could.
What YN worried about the most though, was the fact that whoever could be injured in the race, or something worse, were both people that YN loved. The two of them for different reasons, of course, but it was still love and all of the love you felt for them was important. You watched as they both sat in their cars, driving towards the starting line with such an ease that you wondered whether or not they’d be able to do it in their sleep. You wouldn’t be surprised if they could. You know that Harry has raced in hundreds of races, and you also know that your brother is quickly catching up to that, but that doesn’t make it any easier, for them or for you.
“Ready racers?” A woman walked in between the cars and held up a flag. Both her brother and Harry respond by a roar of their engine, “3! 2! 1! Go!”
You look down slightly once you hear their cars start, going along the man-made path and over all of the hills and round all of the bends. You only look down for a second before looking up and watching as they drive away from you. The people around you cheer, and Daisy even cheers from the side of you but all you can make up the courage to do is clap your hands slightly. Every time you stand and watch a race, you always say to yourself that you’ll never do it again because you don’t think that you’re heart will survive it, but then you always come back to watch the next race because you physically can’t keep away. Not when two people you love are doing something that you know could end badly.
They drive around, the two of them doing anything they can to try and throw the other off track but you know that it probably won’t work, because it works with everyone else but hardly ever with each other. You know that whoever wins will do so because of their speed, because that’s how it always happens when the two are up against each other. You stand there watching them drive for what feels like hours, the cheers only getting louder as the two of them fight for the first place prize.
As the finishing line draws to a close, they’re playing cat and mouse with each other, and you know whoever is next to cross in front will win.
It’s Isaac. Isaac won. You’re happy for him, but at the same time you know that Harry isn’t going to be the happiest but you’ll just have to remind him that he won last time and that he has to let other people win at some point. Your brother was cheering when he got out of his car, and you could see his friends bouncing over to him with smiles on their faces and drinks in their hands. You and Daisy make your way over, but you aren’t as excited they seem to see him.
“Are you two leaving now?” He asks and you and Daisy look at each other before nodding, “Satisfied?”
“Very.” You nod, “Well done.”
“Thanks.” He raises his hand up and points at you, “Am I picking you up tomorrow?”
You shake your head, managing to keep your cool as you did, “Daisy said she’ll drive me back. I don’t know whether you’ll be at work by the time we’re ready.”
“Sounds good. See you tomorrow.”
You physically let out a sigh of relief when you walk away and he believed you. You hate lying to him, you really do, but you just don’t see any other option to do what you’re doing without lying, which is horrible buy you really don’t know another wine.
Daisy slips her arm into yours as you walk away, “Where’s he meeting you?”
“In the usual place.” You nod, “I couldn’t see him when we were over there so I think he’s already gone.”
“Okay.” She nods, “I’m catching a ride with Dennis, will you be okay?”
“I’ll be fine.” You smile.
“Call me if you need anything?”
“You know I will.”
“Good.” She wraps her arms around you before pulling away, “See you soon?”
“See you soon.”
The walk to the edge of the field, just behind a row of trees that hide Harry’s car from the watchful eye of others isn’t a long one, and you can feel the butterflies bubbling in the pit of your stomach the closer you walked to it. Just as every time you did this, your stomach was in twists and turns tightly in your stomach until you have to place your hand upon it as though it would calm it but it doesn’t. It doesn’t calm down until you see the back of the man you loves head, a slight cloud of smoke around his head and his leather jacket on his body. A smile immediately broke out over your lips.
You bound over to him, immediately wrapping your arms around his waist and placing your cheek against the leather of his jacket. You can feel him tense underneath your touch slightly but once you hear and feel him chuckle, his whole body relaxes.
He hums, “Who might that be?”
He grabs your hands and lightly pulls them away from his body so that he can turn around and place his hands around her back. You grin and place your chin on his chest, laughing softly as he leans down and places multiple kisses around your face, “Harry!”
“What?” He grinned pulling away from you, shrugging his shoulders, “Do you not like my kisses or something?”
You chuckle, “I love your kisses, but don’t you think they can wait until we’ll out of public. Away from my brother.”
He pouts, dropping his head to your shoulder, “I suppose.”
Harry walks over to the passenger side of the car and opened the door for you. As you walked towards him, you placed a kiss to his cheek and slipped into the car. The nerves were back in your stomach as you watched Harry walk around the car and slip into the driver’s seat. The two of you don’t get to see each other as much as you’d possibly like to, so nights like these were special to you, and you hoped that he was just as excited and nervous as you were.
The second Harry was sat in his seat, and had started the car, his hand was on your thigh, squeezing the flesh through your trousers at you sat there. You really had missed feeling having him touching you, even though it hadn’t been that long. If it was up to you, Harry would be with you everyday and you would be able to kiss and touch him everyday without any issues, but you knew that just wasn’t the case.
You and Harry had been together for a little shy of three years now, hiding your relationship from literally everyone apart from a few trusted people on each side of you. It wasn’t that you wanted to hide, but you both knew that you just had to if you were going to be able to have the relationship that you had. When you were younger, Harry and Isaac were best friends. You could always remember sitting in the back of the car after behind picked up from school and being squashed into the door because the middle seat was always taken by Harry. You can’t quite remember why the two of them fell out, but you did remember that it happened when the three of you were around fifteen or sixteen.
It was a shock to everyone, because the two of them had been friends for the longest of times and Isaac did seem to be in a rut once it had happened. You had tried to talk to him about it a few times but he never said anything, so you turned to the one other person in the situation who might have to been able to help you. Harry. At first, he seemed to be completely shocked when you walked over to him one day after school and jumped into his car. He actually looked quite taken aback, but when you started asking questions about the falling out he just went quiet.
To this day you still don’t know what had happened between the two of them, but you do know that was the day that you relationship with Harry turned from being the generally acquaintances because you’re friends with my brother to something more. Harry was somebody who you had grown up with, and yes you could admit that he was handsome, but you’d never thought of him in a romantic way up until that point. A part of you wished that you had picked up on it early because you may have been able to kiss him sooner than you had but you were happy, and the two of you were now three years going strong.
The fact that your brother and Harry had fallen out, and when the two of you got together it was really rocky between them, you both decided that the best thing to do was just not to tell him, which led to not telling anyone. You had said that when things improved between the two of them you would tell him, but once the Drag Racing started, there was no way that it would ever improve between the two of them, and you just had to accept that.
Arriving at Harry’s apartment, it was almost as though your body was working on auto-pilot when Harry opened the door and you walked through. You kicked your shoes off by the door, walked into the kitchen to pour yourself a glass of water and made your way into his bedroom. Harry was already stood in the small room, placing his jacket in his wardrobe. You quickly started to undress, swapping your clothes for one of Harry’s shirts and a pair of your pyjama shorts. You walk into the bathroom to take your makeup off and brush your teeth.
“Have you had any more thought into our anniversary trip?” Harry called from the bedroom.
“I’ve thought about it.” You say, running your make up wipe over your eyes, “That’s about it.”
You can hear his sigh even from the other room, and your inside’s twists in not the good way. The anniversary trip had been something that the two of you had spoken about for a long time, and it would be coming in a few months and Harry had been on your back for a long time so that they could get it booked, but you were thinking about a lot of other things rather than booking a holiday. You did hate that you didn’t have anything more to say to him, because you knew that he was disappointed, but there was only so much that you could say.
“I’ll need to book time off of work soon, YN.” He appears only in his boxers in the doorway, leant against it with his arms crossed, “I need to know the dates.”
“I know.” You sigh, turning so that your hip was leant against the counter, “I still just need to figure out what I’m going to tell Isaac.”
Harry sighs and runs his hand over his face, “I know. We can think of what to say to him later, but as soon as possible can you tell me the dates.”
He walks over and places his hands on your waist and you nod, “I will. I’ll check when I get home.”
“Good.” He presses a kiss to your cheek.
You hated hiding things from Harry, you really did, because that man really was your soulmate and the person in this world that you told everything to, so it felt horrible to be hiding something from him. Hiding things from Harry felt like ripping your heart from your chest — you just couldn’t do it— but here you were, doing it without anything happening.
It had been a long night for the two of them, and you knew that even though Harry had a brave face on, you knew that inside he probably wasn’t too happy that he’d lost. The thing about Harry, and your brother for that matter, was that they are so competitive, especially with each other, that when either one of them loses they try to seem like they don’t care but they do. When you walked back into the room, Harry was already in bed with his arms crossed and his face in a sulk.
You sighed and walked over to your side of the bed, pulling the duvet back and slipping under. Harry didn’t even turn to look at you, so you wrapped your arm around his waist and placed your head upon his chest so that he couldn’t help but look at her. You knew that the main thing that you needed to do right now was try and get him out of the rut. It could spring on him at any point but it was never anything that was easy to get him out of. You sighed and pressed a kiss to his bare chest.
“Do you want to talk about it?” You mumbled against his chest.
“There’s nothing to talk about.” He mumbled and you shook your head, lifting your hand up to push some of his hair out of his face.
“There obviously is.” You sighed, “You’re in your rut. Talking about it takes you out of it. I know that, you know that, but you’re just too stubborn to realise this.”
“I’m not too stubborn.” He pouts and you shake your head with a roll of your eyes, raising one of your eyebrows at him, “I just. . . fucking hate loosing to him. Talking about the anniversary, and I know why you haven’t said anything about it yet, baby, just reminded me. I’m sorry.”
You hesitate for a second before smiling at him, “I know you are, H, don’t worry. It’s my fault. I should’ve told you.”
“Don’t.” He shakes his head and leans forward, placing his hand upon your cheek, “Don’t apologise. I get that it’s hard for you, I know. I just. . . wish that I could take it all away from you. It’s my fault that you’re having to keep secrets from your brother.”
You shake your head, “It’s not your fault. I promise that it isn’t your fault. There’s been hundreds of times in the past three years when I could have told him.”
“It’s not just you. We need to tell him.”
If you needed anything else to love Harry for (which you really don’t because you love him with you’re entire being) you feel as though this would be one of those things. You couldn’t believe how understanding he was, and even though the two of you did have times where you butted heads on things, it was never over anything big like this. The two of you made sure that if you ever did have a problem that you needed to sort, there would be some arguing and shouting but there is in any couple, but the two of you always made up before it ended up turning ridiculous.
You turned your head to Harry and placed you lips on his, pushing his shoulders down with your hand so that he’s on your back. You move slightly underneath the duvet that you were both under, manoeuvring yourself so that you were hovering over his body, the two of your lips never separating. You were straddling him, your hands resting on the pillow by Harry’s head. Your hips ground against his boxers involuntarily, and you can feel him smiling against him. Harry moaned into your mouth, and you could feel his bulge growing harder and bigger beneath you.
Pulling away slightly you lean forward and place your forehead upon his, smiling as you place a small kiss to his nose. The hard and stern face of your boyfriend that you had seen earlier when he was racing had completely disappeared, and it was now replaced by his soft and flush features that he only ever saved for when he was with you, and you loved it. You could still feel his hard-on rubbing against your thigh, and you leant forward and placed your lips back on his. His arms wrapped around your waist and back, slipping them down until he could squeeze and knead the flesh over your pyjama short.
“You know I fucking love you, right?” He mumbles against your lips and you nod.
His hips continue to buck up to yours, whilst you grind yours back down to him. You pulled away and leant your head upon his forehead again, “I know you love me. You know I love you?”
He responded you flipping you over, his body now hovering over you. He gave you a boyish smile and nodded his head, leaning his head back down to place his lips on your neck, pressing small little kisses to the skin.
“I know you love me.” He mumbles against her lips, “Do you wanna feel me, baby? Have you missed me?”
You responded with a moan, the sound of his raspy voice goes all the way from your ear, all the way down your spine to the heat between your legs. You wouldn’t be surprised if your panties were completely ruined by now.
“Of course I’ve missed you.” You mumble against his lips, your cheeks flushing as you admit it to him. For years you two have been this close, but it didn’t stop you from being nervous every single time that you are near each other. It’s always how it had been, and probably how it will always be but you wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Tell me how much you’ve missed me.” He kissed down your neck, and you couldn’t help the smile that crossed you face as he did so, “Don’t hold back, baby.”
You threw your head back as he moved downwards, threading your fingers through his hair as you did so. You just hoped that it made him feel better than it was.
Walking home the next morning, your entire body was relaxed and happy in a way that it only ever is after you’d spent time with Harry. If you passed anyone in the street, you smiled at them and there was a slight bounce in your step. There was an excitement that there hadn’t been in you for a long time because you were going to look over your schedule and finally get yourself sorted for your anniversary trip with Harry. Walking through the door that goes into kitchen, you immediately walk over to the fridge to take the orange juice out.
“Morning little sis.” You jump out of your skin and turn around, leaning your back against the counter and lifting your hand up to your chest as it beats in your chest. Looking at your brother, it seemed as though he had just got back from a run, since he was all sweaty, he had his running shoes on and his headphones around his neck. Immediately your heart started to beat in your chest quicker, and the relaxation that you had felt before had immediately left your body and you feel back on edge as you do a lot of the time recently.
“Morning.” You grin, turning back around to open a cupboard to grab a glass that you could fill with the orange juice carton that you were still holding, “Been for a run?”
He nods his head, walking over to the fridge and taking out a bottle of water. When he wasn’t looking directly at you, a sigh escaped your lips. It was quickly over and he was looking at you again, leant against the counter across from you with his arms crossed.
“Woke up with the want to go for a run.” He explained and you furrowed your eyebrows, looking at him and he chuckles, “I know, totally unlike me but I really did just feel like it.”
You nod, your fingers tapping on the counter slightly, “Did you. . . did you go on your normal route?”
Isaac shakes his head, “I met up with D’Angelo. We went to the lake.”
Just like that, the worry that was in your body had left. The lake was on the other side of the town to where Harry lived, and where Isaac normally ran meaning that he couldn’t have seen you leaving Harry’s house which was good. You were starting to realise that the more you had to make sure that your brother hadn’t seen or didn’t know anything about you and Harry, the harder it was becoming for you to keep track of everything. The lie of staying over at Daisy’s had worked for years now, but the older that you got and the more that situations were changing for the two of you, it was harder to keep it as a lie.
“Was it busy?” You ask, trying to make conversation that made it seem as though everything was normal and nothing had happened.
He shakes his head, “Not really.” He hesitates for a second before looking up at you and tilting his head to the side, “I did see Daisy and Dennis though.”
And just like that, your whole body was back to being on edge and nervous. The only way that you could describe how you felt was a mixture of both shock and immediate nervousness. Isaac continued to drink from the bottle in his hand, with no malice or shock on his features at all. If he did know something, he would’ve had said something by now and you knew that because of how well you knew him and that’s in one of the ways how you were both similar — when you knew something, you couldn’t keep it a secret.
It was something that you had grown up with, your inability to keep secrets and you were honestly and truthfully so surprised that you and Harry had managed to keep your relationship a secret for so long. This wasn’t the first time that you had thought that Isaac had found out about your relationship, and it wasn’t the first time that you hadn’t been able to figure out how to get out of it but you knew that you would be able to get yourself out of it. You hoped that you would be able to get yourself out it.
You were started to get quite nervous though, with sweaty palms and a heart beating directly up against your chest. Your mind spiralled and you hoped that you were going to hear something that would stop your chest in the next few minutes.
“Did you?” You cleared your throat to make it seem as though you were more put together than you were.
He hums, “Yeah. They explained that you were walking home and that Dennis’ arrival was out of the blue.”
You nod and smile, your heart stopping to beat so quickly the second those words escaped her lips, “Yeah. He appeared and asked her to go on a walk before work later. I said that I’d just walk home so that Daisy could go. I think he’s going to ask her out soon.”
Isaac scoffs and crossing his arms over his chest, “I hope so. They’ve only been dancing around it for the last few years.”
You nod, “We’ve all said it. I don’t know how many times we’ve told her but anyway, I’m going to get in the shower before getting ready for work.”
You’re quick to walk out of the kitchen and up the stairs with your head spinning. The entire time that you’re getting ready, showering and doing your hair, standing in front of your mirror and looking at the marks that Harry had left over the entirety of your skin before putting your work uniform on, you’re thinking about what you’re going to do. Today you were going to book some time off work from the café during the week of your anniversary, and even though that Daisy would know why you were doing that, you didn’t have to tell anyone else there. When it came to being at home, and telling your brother why you were going to be leaving for a month whilst Daisy stayed at home was going to be hard to explain to say the least. You were going to have to think very carefully about what you were going to say.
Walking into the small café you worked at not that long later, you were happy to finally be in the place where anything else that happened in your life went to the back of your mind and you could focus on making drinks and serving customers. You had worked at the café since the day you turned eighteen, and you had worked there ever since. It wasn’t what you wanted to do forever, working in the little café with your best friend and your boss that is just an absolute asshole, but you just haven’t got the funds or was it the right time for you to try and get your dream going.
Your dream, albeit a big one, was to one day own your own café that sold your own treats that you made and looked the exact way that you wanted it to. You had been planning your own café and telling everyone you knew about it since sitting in your maths classes in middle school when you realised that school really wasn’t for you. You were okay in school, and you got good enough grades, but none to get you to what you wanted to do in life. Over the last three years, many of your conversations with Harry had been about your café and how you would work there whilst he would take over his father’s mechanical shop.
That was the plan for the future, but first — you had a shift to do and you had a lie to think of.
“Afternoon.” You mumbled as you walked into the small café, Daisy’s eyes immediately widening as she takes a look at you stood there, “How are you?”
“I’m sorry.” Daisy blurts out, not being able to stop herself from doing so, “I really didn’t know that he was going to be there, if I did I would have never gone there, you know that.”
“I know.” You walk over and wrap your arms around her shoulders briefly, “He doesn’t know, it’s fine. I shouldn’t be relying on you so much, Daisy, I know that. I’m trying to figure out what to do.”
“It’s okay, YN.” She mumbles, placing her hand upon your shoulder with a smile, “I know why you’ve done it, but I’m glad you’re finally coming to your senses. It’s three years too late, but at least you’re here.”
“At least it’s happening now.” You sigh, widening your eyes as you look at her.
“You’ll be fine. Everything will be fine.”
You sigh and nod your head, hoping that she was right.
You heard Harry’s car before you could see it, pulling up outside of your house in a quick stop so that you could quickly duck out and get it. Isaac was out for the night, doing another race in another town that Harry couldn’t do because he had work, so they had decided to spend the night together. Due to Isaac being out of town, they decided that they might even be able to go for a meal, to a restaurant, like a normal couple would.
You gave him a small smile and a peck on the lips as you sat in the car. There hadn’t been much discussion between you and Harry that week, not since you had left his that morning. It was odd, because the two of you spoke everyday, even if it was just to check that the other was okay, but the conversation this week had been limited to you asking him to come for a meal and him replying saying that he would. You always knew that this day would come, where the unspoken issue between the two of you had become too much for you to handle.
You had tried five times over the last week to say something to Isaac, trying to drop it in to normal conversation but you always dived away from it, as though you couldn’t allow yourself to say what you wanted to say to him. You had never been as nervous before in your life, and all you had to do was tell him about a secret that involved the one person that Isaac hated most in life and his twin sister. You just had to try your hardest to remind yourself over and over again that it was the best thing to do, and that you’d be happy if you were able to get the words out, but you just couldn’t.
The two of you arrived at a restaurant on the outskirts of the town you lived in, one that meant you would be safe if Isaac did return home and one that the two of you also knew would serve good food. The car ride continued without any words spoken between the two of them, and you tried your hardest to not feel the nerves bubbling inside of you, but you also knew that there was a reason why you were going to have this conversation with him, and there was a reason why you needed to feel nervous for it.
Sitting across from Harry in a booth that sat at the front of the restaurant, you couldn’t even bring yourself to take your eyes off of his face. There hadn’t been a lot of times during your relationship with Harry where you had felt like this, and it was usually always when the two of you were discussing the exact topic that you knew that you were going to be now. Whilst you couldn’t take your eyes off of Harry, it seemed as though he wanted nothing more than to not look at you.
“Hey.” He didn’t look up from the menu that he had in his hand, “Are you going to even look at me?”
You watch as he doesn’t even move a muscle, never mind do the thing that you wanted him to do which was look at you, “I’ve looked at you.”
“Not since we’ve sat down you haven’t.”
You watch as he sighs and drops the menu down so that it was rested upon the table between you and lifts his eyes up to look at you, “Happy now?”
A small smile breaks out your face, a sarcastic one at that, but a smile nonetheless, “Very.”
Harry rolls his eyes and leans back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest. You look at him with your eyes widened. Why this was happening all of a sudden, you didn’t know, but you had a slight suspicion that you weren’t going to be able to argue your way out of this one with him like you had done in the past. The first thing that led you to believe that was the fact that you were in a public place, where you had to do your best to make sure that you were going to tell the truth and nothing but the truth.
As a whole, you were ashamed of your actions over the years, and you knew that you wouldn’t be able to apologise for everything that you had done in the past but you could at least try. Everything had changed now that you had your three year anniversary coming up, and you realised that there was so much more to life than trying to hide a stupid secret from your brother.
“Harry.” You start, a sigh immediately leaving your lips after, “I’m sorry. I really am.” He nods his head, “I don’t expect you to accept my apology, and I certainly don’t expect you to forgive me for the shit that I’ve put you through these last couple of years, but, I want to let you know that I am trying to fix things. I promise you.”
He sighs, “I don’t know how you can, YN. I’ve thought about it a lot recently, in the past week, since our conversation last week.”
“I have too.” You nod, your fingers messing with the hem of your jacket, “I have too. I’ve tried so many times, to tell him, but I just can’t and I don’t know why. He can’t do anything, I’m a grown ass woman and he’s just my brother. He can’t tell me who I can and can’t love, and I do love you Harry more than anything, but there’s a part of me that just can’t tell him.”
Harry cleared his throat and sighed, “I never told you the reason we argued.”
You shake your head, “Neither of you did.”
“Do you want to know?” He asked.
You shrugged, “I don’t know. . . if it will help, than yes.”
Harry sighed and nodded his head, running his finger over his bottom lip the way that you knew that he did when he was nervous, “We were in Eugene’s basement, having just watched one of his races and he had some shit, and we decided to take it. It was just us, everyone else had gone to do something else or get high somewhere else, and we were just sat.” You were hanging off of every word that he said, “We were taking about, I don’t know, life and all the shit that we usually do when we’re high and we got onto the topic of you.”
Your eyes widen, “Me? Why were you talking about me?”
“He mentioned you and how you wanted to do things with your life and how he was fed up that all he had to do with his life was race.” Harry chuckled and shook his head, “I couldn’t even help it, I just blurted out that I liked you and that I was going to ask you on a date, thinking that he would be happy for us, but instead, he punched me in the face.”
Your lips part, “He what?”
“He punched me.” Harry runs a hand through his hair, “And then he just started screaming at me, saying that scum like me wasn’t good enough for someone like you. The more he said it, the more I believed it and I believed it all the way until you got in my car and asked me to tell you what had happened. I didn’t, and I didn’t for a reason, because if I had told you maybe you would’ve thought the same as him, that I wasn’t good enough for you, so instead I asked you on the date, just like I had planned to.”
You let his words sink in for a while, the sound of them bouncing around in your head for a while as you look down at the table in front of you. You couldn’t lie and say that you hadn’t thought about what had gone down between them, and what had been said to make them despise each other as much as they did, but you certainly hadn’t expected it to be about you of all things. It started to all make sense now, how when you had asked him, after your first night together at his house, if he was okay that you didn’t tell your brother about the two of you being together, and he agreed. At first you had thought that it was odd, seeing as though this man didn’t know your motive behind why you were saying that, but at the same time, you didn’t know his motive behind why he said yes.
It all made sense.
You sigh and nod your head, “Why didn’t you just tell me? I would’ve understood. You know that I would’ve.”
He shrugs his shoulders, “Why didn’t you tell me about what you had been thinking? And what you had been trying to do?”
You shrug your shoulders, “I don’t know.”
“It works both ways, YN.” He shrugs, “And I’m sorry that I didn’t tell you but a part of you has to realise that there was a reason you didn’t tell me and you didn’t tell him. I understand a part of you was trying to keep it calm between us, but there had to be more than that.”
You can feel the tears starting to brim within your eyes, and the more that you thought about it, the more that you knew you were going to struggle to hold them back. You start to blink quickly, lifting your eyes up to look at the ceiling. It worked, and you managed to make sure that no tears slid down your cheeks.
“A part of me did do it because I knew that it would be easier for you, that you didn’t have to tell him that you were my boyfriend. I knew how hard that would’ve been for you.” You explain, lifting your hand up to scratch your forehead, “So I decided that for a little while, I just wouldn’t tell him. At least not until things had calmed down between the two of you. After a few months of waiting was going to say something to him, just drop it into conversation and then walk out of it with my hands up but then I realised that it wasn’t going to be that easy. The day that I was going to do it, he walked into my bedroom with this big news that he was so excited to tell me.” You take in a breath and sigh, “It was the news that you were starting to drive, and that he was going to beat you that night and I knew that if I had told him, he wouldn’t have just beat you in the race.”
“I can stand up for myself, YN.”
“I never said that you couldn’t.” She shook her head, “I just didn’t want you getting hurt because of me.”
“I wouldn’t be getting hurt because of you. I’d be getting hurt because of something we did.” He explains, “Just like you can’t blame this all on me, and me on you, I’m not going to let you blame this all on yourself either.”
“Harry.” You sigh and lean back in the chair that you sat in, “We’re going to have to tell him.”
He shakes his head, “He’s not going to like it.”
“I know.” You agree with him and hold your hand out, “But we’ve got to tell him.”
“I know we have.” He grasps your hand in his.
It turned out that you and Harry didn’t have to wait for too long to tell your brother, because when Harry pulled up outside of your house, your brother was already sat there on the steps of the house, waiting for you to arrive home. You couldn’t believe what you were seeing if you were completely honest, and a part of you realised that this was it. You turned to look at Harry slightly, a sigh leaving your lips as you did so.
“You still want to do this?” He asked, pulling his keys out of the ignition as the car came to a complete stop.
You sigh and lean over to place your hand upon his, “I don’t think we have a choice, now.”
“We do.” He turned his head to look at you, squeezing your fingers as he did so, “I could just drive away. Ignore him.”
You chuckle and shake your head, lifting your connected hands up to place a kiss to the back of his hand, “Come on. He might explode if we keep him waiting any longer.”
You certainly couldn’t lie and say that your brother looked like he was handling everything well, because he certainly wasn’t. His jaw seemed to be constantly clenched the entire time that you walked towards him, and you definitely saw his hands that were clenched by his sides in fists. You knew that he was going to be annoyed, and you expected that there would certainly be some shouting involved with this, but, she certainly didn’t want this to become physical at any point. In your opinion, it certainly wasn’t worth it.
“YN.” You stop in front of him once he’s spoken your name, and Harry is just a few steps behind you. Having him there really brings a comfort that you don’t really feel unless you’re with him, so if anything, you were happy that he was there, “What are you doing with him?”
“I’m—” You start, looking at him for a second before letting out a sigh, “He’s—”
You can’t find the right words to say what you want to say. You knew that it wasn’t going to be easy to explain to your brother, but you at least thought that you’d be able to get past the first words without choking up, but it seemed as though that wasn’t the case.
“Isaac—” Harry takes a step forward, so that he was directly next to you but before he could say anything else, Isaac holds his hand out to stop him.
“I wasn’t talking to you.” Harry clamps his lips shut, and you can tell that he’s trying to hold back so many things but at least he isn’t making the situation worse which you knew that he possibly could. Isaac then turns to you, “I was asking you the question. What are you doing with him?”
Letting out a sigh, you shut your eyes for a second to calm yourself down, “I’m. . . we’re together, Isaac.”
He lets out a sigh and shakes his head, tutting slightly as he did so, “When Eugene told me, I didn’t believe him. I said that you’d never do that to me because you know that I hate him more than I’ve hated anyone in my life before.”
At first you listen to the words that he was saying and you nod along, as if you’re understanding what they’re saying, but you quickly shake your head and cross your arms over your chest.
“I’d never do what to you, Isaac?” You ask, your eyebrows furrowing as you say the words you were speaking, “I’ve fallen in love with someone, Isaac, I don’t think that involves you at all.”
“But you know I can’t stand him!”
“Still here, you know.” Harry mutters, lifting his hands up and walking away from them slightly.
You turn over to look at Harry and glare at him slightly before you turn your attention back to Isaac, “Why do you think I didn’t tell you? I knew that you’d react like this.”
“What? I’d react completely sane, YN?” Isaac scoffs and shakes his head.
“Sane?” You physically can’t believe what you’re hearing, “Isaac, you don’t have the right to act like this over who is my boyfriend. Yeah, I understand that you don’t like Harry and he isn’t particularly fond of you either, but you don’t have a say in that.” You stop slightly and let out a sigh of relief when you realise that you’ve got him listening, “I would completely understand if you were upset about me not telling you and lying to you, but that is what you can be mad at.”
He looks at you but then he shakes his head, and you know that everything that you’ve just said has gone and he couldn’t care less about it now.
“YN.” You know that tone of voice anywhere, and you couldn’t believe that he was still acting like this, “It’s Harry. You don’t know the shit that he said, and you don’t know what it was like to sit and listen to him saying everything he said about you.”
This time, it’s you who lets the words that he’s just spoken sink in for a while. If what Harry had said to you earlier was true, that all your brother had to be upset about was him saying that he liked you and wanted to ask you out. Now, you’re not exactly sure how the male mind works, but you’re pretty sure that Isaac can distinguish between someone saying that they like someone and something else. You turn to look at Harry and he looks down at the floor, and that’s when you realise very quickly that there was something else to the story that you didn’t know. The mere thought of it made you feel sick. What had actually been said that night?
“Isaac.” You turn back to look at him, “What was said?”
“YN.” He shakes his head, scratching his forehead slightly, “I don’t want to tell you.”
“Tell me.” Your words are harsh and you can tell by the way that Harry backs away from you that you’re about to be in for a real treat, “Tell me!”
“When we were in high school, we had this list.” Isaac starts, and you know that what he is saying is probably really important context but you just want him to get to the point, “And on this list, we’d rank who we thought were the most fuck-able girls in the school.”
Your entire heart plummets to the pit of your stomach, “That’s disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourselves.”
“I am, don’t worry.” Isaac nods, “Harry never got involved with it, and we all knew why, because he was the good one who never cared about those things and everyone just accepted that. I certainly did.”
“Just get on with it, Isaac.”
“Well, we were in Eugene’s basement and we were high and drunk and everything was just a little blurred if I’m honest, but I asked Harry a question. I said, best friend to best friend, if you were to pick one person to go on the top of the list, and just be his one person and nobody apart from us would ever find out, he turned to me and said: you.”
You can’t figure out what your angrier at. You can’t decide whether it’s because Harry had actually said those words to your brother, degrading you in such a way that you had never ever expected him to or the fact that he had lied to you about what had actually happened. In honesty, you do think that thing that has upset you the most was that he didn’t tell you the truth. He could have told you what had actually happened earlier on in the day on you wouldn’t have cared, because you knew that he was high and drunk and he probably wouldn’t have meant it but the fact that he lied, made you feel sick to your stomach. It made you question whether or not he had lied to you at other points and you just hadn’t known because you were too naïve to see it.
You turn to look at Harry and he’s looking directly back at you, not at the ground and not anywhere else but directly at you.
“Harry.” You can already feel the tears start to form within your eyes, “Tell me it’s not true.”
Harry shakes his head and looks down at the ground, and you shake your head to try and back the tears. You know that if you open your mouth words will tumble out that you really don’t mean, and you know that you can’t let that happen but you’re in such a state that you know that you’re mind would be clouded with how upset you are.
“He knows it’s fucking, true, YN.” Isaac says from behind you, “That’s why we fucking fought and punched the living daylights out of each other.”
You shake your head again, the tears involuntarily spilling down your cheek, “Harry. Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I thought—” He starts but then he shakes his head, “I didn’t—”
Just like you couldn’t find the words to say, it seemed as though Harry couldn’t either. You really didn’t care about what he said, and you wouldn’t care about what he said. There were things that you’d said when you were younger and in high school that you certainly regretted and you would hate if anyone was to bring them up but you wouldn’t lie about it. You had lied in the past and done things in the past that you didn’t agree with, but it wasn’t as though you were doing it for any other reason but to protect the relationships that you had made with people.
“Harry.” He lifts his head to look at you, “I think you should go.”
“YN. . .” He takes a step forward towards you but you hold your hand up.
“Just for tonight.” You nod your head, “We’ll speak tomorrow. We all just need to. . . calm down.”
“But YN. . .” He takes another step forward but you shake your head.
“Please, Harry.” You close your eyes, “Just for tonight.”
He doesn’t seem very happy with what you had said but he nods at you once before walking over to his car and getting in. He slams the door closed behind him, and you flinch when he does so. You watch through the window as he looks at you one last time before starting the engine and driving.
He drives on, and he doesn’t look back, not even one last time and you watch as his car disappears off the street. Once you know that he’s gone, you start walking towards the end of the drive and down to the pavement.
“YN—” Isaac starts but you turn to look at him and shake your head.
“Not now.” You run a hand through your hair, “I’m going to Daisy’s. I’ll be fine.”
With that, you walk down the street and towards Daisy’s house, the thoughts of what had just happened dancing around in your head. You knew that this was going to happen at some point, and it would all blow up in your face, you just hadn’t know that it would be like this.
The next day you return home with bags underneath your eyes and yawns escaping your lips. You would say that you’re nervous, but after being up all night with worry in your stomach, you’re pretty certain that you’re just a little anxious but the thing that overwhelms your brain more than anything is the want for all of this to be over. You needed to sort things out with your brother, so you could go back to being siblings that annoy each other more than anything, and then you need to sort everything out with Harry. You knew that it was going to be hard, and you knew that your emotions were going to be high but you needed to get it over and done with. You weren’t going to allow your life to be like this for longer than it needed to be, and it didn’t need to be at all.
When you walked through the front door of your house, you didn’t know what you were expecting to see, but you really didn’t expect what you saw. Isaac was laid across the couch, with empty beer bottles on the table in front of him. You knew why he had done it, and you hated that it was your fault that he had done it but at the same time he was a grown man, just like you were a grown woman, and he knew that this wasn’t the right way to go about things.
With a sigh, you walked over to the sofa and picked up one of the cushions by Isaac’s feet and threw it air his head. He groaned and moved around and that was when you nudged his legs so that you could sit down. He groaned again but moved them away, and you heard him yawn and felt his body lift up from beside you so that he was upright.
“How’s the head?” You mumble, crossing your arms over your chest and leaning back in the seat.
He groans and does the same, “It’s been better.”
You chuckle and close your eyes, allowing a slight calmness to wash over your body. If there was one thing that you missed about getting older, was not being able to have the stupid conversations with him that made absolutely no sense to anybody but the two of them. But, something that you did know was that even when this was all sorted and everything went back to normal, you wouldn’t be surprised if not everything went back to normal between the two of you. It was something hard to understand, but you just had to accept it because you wouldn’t be surprised if it took years to fix.
There’s a silence between the two of you for a while, but you quickly realise that isn’t going to help you in your situation so without really thinking you collect yourself and let out a small breath that you didn’t know you had been hiding for a while.
“I’m sorry.” You say, the words coming out of your mouth stronger than you had expected them to. You thought that they would at least be broken, but they weren’t, “I’m sorry for everything, but most importantly, I’m sorry for lying and keeping it from you.”
You don’t know what Isaac is going to say, and the fact that you don’t does make you worry slightly but you know that you’d be able to handle whatever he was going to say. You would be able to handle it because you were strong, at this point you needed to be.
“I accept your apology.” He says, and you turn to look at him with tears in your eyes. He nods at you and smiles, “The more I thought about it, the more I understood why you did it. If the shoe was on the other foot I would’ve done the exact same thing. I wouldn’t have even hesitated to.”
You nod your head and close your eyes, a few tears falling from them but you’re quick to lift your hand and wipe them away. He reaches over and grabs your hand, and you squeeze his as you do so.
“I shouldn’t have lied to you though.” You shake your head, “We don’t lie to each other.”
“Oh.” Isaac shakes his head and you furrow your eyebrows at him, “We don’t lie to each other but we certainly keep secrets. The amount I’ve kept from you. . . you’d probably kill me.”
Your lips part in shock, “Are you going to tell me them?”
“No.” He shakes his head, a chuckle leaving his lips, “I maybe will later, but right now, you’ve got somewhere to be.”
“Have I?” He taps his hand on your leg and stands up, and all you can do is furrow your eyebrows in response.
“You have.” You watch as he grabs his jacket and places it on his body, “And I’m going to take you there.”
You know straight away that Isaac is talking about going to see Harry, and just the fact that he was going to take you made you want to burst out into even more tears that you had been before. You didn’t though, because you were able to keep your calm and just smile and nod along with him, but it was certainly hard for you to do. It felt as though you were getting acceptance from Isaac and although you knew that you didn’t really need it, it sure felt good to have. You offered him a quick smile and got into his car, driving you to Harry’s and leaving you there with a squeeze of his hand.
Even though you weren’t that nervous when it came to talking to Isaac, speaking to Harry was a completely different thing. Whereas you and Isaac had a sibling bond that could never be broken, you and Harry had a bond, one that was love to the highest degree, but it was still a love that could be broken. You just hoped that this wasn’t it and you hadn’t met the point of no return just yet.
You palms were sweaty as you knocked on his door, and your heart felt as though it was going to beat out of your chest but you knew that this was the right thing to do. You could hear shuffling behind the door, and then it swung open, and you wanted to sigh in relief just at the sight of him stood there. He looked like he hadn’t slept, but you hadn’t either so it was something that you both had in common, and he had his joggers hung low on his hips in a way that you always found so endearing whenever he did it.
“Hi.” You say, the corners of your lips tilting upwards slightly, “Can I come in?”
He opens his mouth as if to say something but then he just ends up nodding his head and opening the door wider so your body can slip through. It looks exactly the same as the last time you had been there, and it felt comfortable and like your home. It certainly was your home away from home, and living with Harry would be something that you wouldn’t mind doing in the future if time permitted you too. You had to remind yourself to take a few steps back and look at the situation ahead of you, and how you had a lot of things that you needed to talk about before anything else in the future could happen.
Walking into the apartment, you hear Harry shut the door behind you. You knew that he wasn’t too far behind you, so you turned around.
“I didn’t think you’d be here so soon.” He muttered, shrugging his shoulders, “I thought you’d need a few days.”
“I said I would talk to you tomorrow.” You smile and nod your head, “I’m wasn’t about to go back on that.”
You swear you can see the slight lift of the corner of his lips, and it’s the first sign to you that everything might actually end up being okay.
“I know you think we have things to talk about but I actually just have one thing to say.” He says, taking a step forward towards you. You watch as he hesitantly reaches out and grabs your hand, and you smile at just the feeling of his skin on yours again, “I’m sorry, That’s all I can say. I’m sorry that I said those things all those years ago, and I’m more sorry that I didn’t tell you about it when I had the chance. It was stupid of me, and I can understand if you want to. . . if you want to.” He physically stops and you can tell that he’s struggling with something, “If you want to break up with me.”
You gasp at his words, taking a step forward and placing your hands on his cheeks, “Harry. . . no. Don’t think that. I’m not going to break up with you over that.”
You can hear him physically sigh and you couldn’t even understand why he dared to think the way that he was, “I didn’t know. I didn’t know how you’d think.”
“Harry.” You lean forward so that your forehead is on his, “I’m upset that you lied, but I did too. If anything, we’re just as bad as each other. That’s probably why we’re so perfect for each other, right?”
“Right.” He chuckled, nodding his head, “We’re perfect for each other. I love you so much, I’m so sorry.”
“I’m sorry too.” You close your eyes as you let the words sink in, “If there’s one way I know how we’re never going to go through anything like this again, is if we promise to never keep anything from each other again.”
“We won’t.” He mumbles, “I won’t.”
“Good. I won’t either.” Your hands grip onto his arms as they wrap around your neck, “I need you, Harry Styles. I do.”
“I need you too.”
With that you open your eyes so that you can look directly in his, a small smile breaking over your lips at the fact the two of you knew that he needed you just as much as you needed him. It certainly made this entire situation feel as though it happened for a reason, that it happened so that you could be stronger than you already were. You never doubted that he loved you, and that you loved him, but there was the doubt that everything would have caught up with you, and that was something that you knew would be your fault. All of this was your fault, for not being honest in the first place, but that didn’t mean that you couldn’t find it in yourself to be honest now and get you and Harry through this.
Without even the slightest hint of hesitation you lean forward and place your lips on his, and he didn’t wait to kiss back, his tongue moving against his bottom lip before pushing it through your parted lips. Your tongue met his in your mouth, and you pulled each other closer, grasping at each other with the want and need that never stopped when you were around him. The spark that you always felt when you were with him ran all the way down from the skin of your lips to the tip of your toes, fluttering all over your body. You had told him that you needed him, which was the truth, but you were soon starting to realise that there was more to the need you had for Harry than what met the eye. It was something that went past all of the words in the dictionary to actions that you needed to name, and that’s why you pulled away and rested your head on his forehead.
“Harry.” You mumble, “Take me to the bedroom.”
He pulls away and furrows his eyebrows, not expecting those words to slip from your mouth, “Are you sure? We don’t have to.”
“I’m sure.” You mumble against his lips, “Never been more certain of anything in my entire life.”
He presses kisses against your neck and shoulders as he places you down on the bed, his body hovering over yours. When he starts to put a little more pressure on your skin with his teeth, you can’t help the light moans that start to escape your lips. He starts to toy with the hem of your shirt, and you respond to him by lifting your legs and wrapping them around his waist. Your hips move in circular motions to his, and it’s his turn to moan into you.
You pull away and sit up, pulling your shirt over your head and revealing your bra to him. It wasn’t the nicest bra you owned, but it got to the point in your relationship when you didn’t need to wear fancy lingerie all of the time to feel good enough for him, but that didn’t mean that you didn’t every now and then to feel sexy. Every now and then, though, just like you felt now, you realise that you don’t need to wear anything to feel sexy because just the way that Harry looked at you made you feel like that. The was his eyes raked up and down your body, across every inch of skin that he could see. That made you feel sexy. The way he looked at you made you feel sexy.
“Missed this.” He leans over and places a kiss to the skin of your shoulder, “Missed you. You’re so fucking beautiful, YN, you have no idea.”
You lean forward and capture your lips again on his, slipping your arm around his shoulder so that you could run your nails down his back, scratching lightly as you did so. He took it upon himself to slip his hands between the two of you and unbutton your trousers, pulling them as well as your panties down your legs. You remove your arms from around his neck so that you can unclip your bra and pull it down from your torso and throw it down on the floor with the rest of your clothes. This was how you loved it to be with Harry. You just loved it when the two of you were together, alone. You guessed a part of it was because that was all you ever knew of it.
Harry was the most loving and beautiful person you’d met in your life, and you would have loved to be able to show him off to the world as the one you loved but it just wasn’t that easy, but now you had the slight suspicion that you might be able to, and a part of you was excited about that.
Your hands extend back out to him, pulling his body back down so that he was hovering above you again. He places a single kiss to your lips before moving his way down your body, placing kisses to your chest before moving down to the top of your breast and then down towards your nipples. He moves from each of them, one to the other, giving each of them the attention that he always does. You smile and thread your fingers through his hair, running through the curls that sat on top of his head. You used it to pull his head back up and place his lips on yours again. He responds by immediately kissing you back, and he wraps his arms around you so that he could flip you over, so that you’re resting above him now.
You pulled back and rested your forehead against his, “You want me on top?” He nodded and you smiled, watching as he slipped his hands into each side of his joggers before pulling them down his legs, as well as his boxers, revealing his cock. You manoeuvre your body so that you’re further down the bed and so that your head is at the same level as him, and you lean forward, pressing a singular kiss to the tip. The sound that emits from his throat causes you to not hesitate in leaning forward and wrapping your lips around the top of him, starting to bob your head at a slow pace that you know is seemingly working because you can see his stomach moving up and down at a quick pace. Groans tumble from his lips, and you know that he’ll be getting close but before he can do anything else his hands press against your cheeks and lift you back up so that he can kiss you again.
“Don’t you wanna. . . ?” You ask, your eyebrows furrowing as you look at him.
“No.” He shakes his head, placing his lips on yours, “I don’t want anything but to be inside of you right now.”
You watched as he moved backwards slightly, so that you were close enough to the wall that you could rest of your hand against the wall as you manoeuvre yourself over him. His cock slips between your folds, and words can’t describe how wet you are for him, dripping all over him. You place your lips on his again and start to move yourself up and down his cock. The groan that escapes his lips is unlike any you’ve heard before, and you can’t help the smile that dances across your lips.
“You’re drenched for me.” He groans against your lips, “Fuck, I wanna be inside of you.”
“Be my guest.” You grin, and you watch as he leans down to grab his cock in his fist and you lift up so that you can line yourself up with him. You grasp his shoulder as you slowly sink down on him, the familiar feeling of having him fill you up overwhelming you. You had been together for three years and no matter how many times you had sex, it still manages to overwhelm you more than words can explain. You whimper when he’s fully inside of you, hesitating for a few minutes before you press your lips to his in another short kiss.
“So fucking tight.” He mumbles, “Best fucking feeling in the world.”
You tilt your head back slightly with a smile crossing your lips, “I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself.”
He chuckles but that’s quickly shut off when you start to move, bouncing up and down on his cock. Your nails scrape down his back as you move, and you can’t help the moans of profanities that leave your lips as you move. You knew you were squeezing yourself around him, it was always something that you did that caused him to clench his jaw, just has he was doing now. You quickly found a rhythm, swirling your hips and grinding them in a way that had both of you moaning out each others names.
You tilted your head back when he hit a spot deep inside of you that sent a wave of pleasure rushing over your body. He didn’t even hesitate to lean forward and capture your nipple in his mouth, flicking his tongue over the bud slightly before moving to the other. He wrapped his arms around your body and slipped them down your back, all the way until he grabbed the flesh of your ass and squeezed. His movements were harsh, but they sent a wave of pleasure through your entire body.
“YN.” You hum, leaning forward and resting your head on his shoulder, not stopping the movements on his hips, “You’re never going to leave me, are you?”
You move so that you’re sat up straight and look at him, “Why would you think that? I’m not going to leave you, Harry, never.”
“Good.” He leans forward and placing his lips back on yours. Your movements don’t slow down, if anything, they speed up and a string of moans escape your lips. His hands are all over your body, and his lips are too, and the the feeling starts to rush over you. You manage to keep your hips moving at the pace for a while before you slow down, and Harry notices this and quickly flips you both over. You lay on your back with your head on the pillow, and Harry doesn’t even hesitate when he slips back into you. His movements aren’t fast, but they’re certainly deep.
“So fucking deep, Harry. Feels so fucking good.” Your words only seem to egg Harry on, especially the way your nails scratch down his back, “I’m so close.”
Harry was hitting just as deeply inside of you as he had been when you were riding him, and the feeling tips you closer and closer to the edge. Your hands drop down to your sides to grasp the duvet cover, and you turn your head so that you can muffle the obnoxiously loud moans that you couldn’t help leaving your lips.
“I know you are baby.” One of his hands slips through yours, “Don’t hide them moans though, let me hear them, baby, you know what it does to me.”
You move your head back so that he can hear your moans, and he smiles as he continues to fuck you. It doesn’t take long before he’s tipping you over the edge and your orgasm hits you. It’s one of the most powerful you’ve ever had, and you have every reason to believe that it’s because of how high emotions are between the two of you at the moment. It’s intense and you can feel it everywhere, all over your entire body and more so in the pit of your stomach. Harry didnt stop his movements, not until he hit his high as well and spilled into you. You didn’t care about anything else in that moment though, because you felt closer to Harry now than you even had been, and you never wanted it to change again.
Once he pulls out of you, a whimper immediately leaving your lips due to the emptiness you now feel. He quickly cleans you up, and then drops into the bed beside you, and you don’t even hesitate when you wrap your arm around his waist and rest your head upon his chest. When your eyes close, you let out a sigh of relief.
“Harry.” He hums, and you can feel the vibration of his chest beneath your ear, “I’m sorry I told you to drive away.”
“Don’t be.” He mumbles, his fingertips dancing along the skin of your arm, “We’ve all done thing that we aren’t proud of, but we have a new start. One where we don’t have to keep this a secret.”
You nod and smile, still not opening your eyes, “I love you.”
“Love you too, baby.”

Congrats on the 800 followers bby you deserve it! I have a good one for you. I slipped and fell in the shower and the only person who can help me is my enemy for nessian 👀👀👀
Well, Sim, it was you who BLEW my word count. I should have seen it coming, I guess 👀
Although, I will say you didn't do it alone. I also combined @maastrash 's prompt "Are you hurt? What happened?" and one from anon, "You're cute when you're all worried."
They all went together so well that I couldn't resist. And as a result, you got this 3k+ beast. RIP 800-word limit.
Anyway, I hope you like it, my love! Enjoy!

Nesta wasn't sure why she had agreed to go to the beach with Feyre, Rhysand, and his brothers. Gwyn had come through in her time of need and agreed to join them, but she'd quickly flipped her allegiances to spend more time on the beach with the others instead of retreating back to the house with Nesta. She had a suspicion it had something to do with a certain tall, dark, and broody man who hoarded his smiles from the public eye.
Unless the public eye belonged to Gwyneth Berdara.
After the long trek to their rented beach house, Nesta stopped at the edge of the dock to knock the sand from her shoes. There was a small shower outside the backdoor to rinse the saltwater and stubborn sand from her body, and Nesta hissed against the stark cold that rained down on her legs. A proper shower was the only thing that was going to combat the chill in her blood, and that realization was enough to solidify her decision to stay inside the rest of the afternoon with a romance novel.
Her towel was full of sand, so she hanged it over the porch railing and headed directly to the bathroom. It was best if she peeled her bikini off in the shower to avoid scattering any lingering sand all over her bedroom, so she moved swiftly into the small bathroom and cranked the water nearly to the warmest setting. The firm grip of her arms around her body did very little to combat the goosebumps on her skin, and she let out a near moan at the feel of the hot water.
She closed the shower door behind her and stood beneath the spray properly to rinse her hair. Her bikini made a loud slopping sound against the tile in the corner. Dealing with it was a task for someone with any motivation beyond warmth and cleanliness.
Nesta lathered her hair and combed a generous amount of conditioner through her strands to help with the detangling process. The wind had created a monster, adding another notch against the beach in her book.
While her conditioner did the Cauldron's work, she grabbed a wash cloth and body wash. As she moved back beneath the spray, her foot slipped over the suds near the drain, but Nesta righted herself with a firm hand against the tile wall. The excessive amount of conditioner wasn't helping matters.
She rinsed her hair and body all at once to get to her lounge clothes as soon as possible. Stepping out of the spray to hang her washcloth on the nearby rack to dry was near torture now that she was properly warmed, and Nesta wasted no time in stepping back into the water for one last hit before shutting it off.
That was her intention, anyway. What happened instead is that her traitorous feet were no match for the slick tile, and the backward steps were all it took to send her careening to the floor. She slapped at the wall to no avail, finding no ally in reach. What she did find was insult to injury when various toiletry bottles rained down on top of her.
She had stupidly tried to brace her fall with her other hand, sending a spark of pain from her palm to her shoulder. Her groan echoed off the walls and the shower showed no mercy as the water rained onto her chest, all over her face.
A booming voice made her eyes snap open, only to snap them shut against the sting of the water.
"Nes?"
Her delay had been too long. The bathroom door burst open, and through the frosted glass, she saw Cassian's imposing form assessing the situation.
"Nesta? Are you hurt? What happened?"
This could not be happening. Of all the fuckers to be in the house at one of her lowest points, it had to be Cassian. Gwyn would be hearing about this.
"Go away."
She cringed against how dejected she sounded. Turning her head and shielding her eyes with her uninjured arm, she found that he did no such thing.
"Cassian," she warned. "Get the fuck out of here. Now."
He propped a hip on the bathroom counter. Arrogant bastard. At least, from what she could tell, his chin was turned up toward the ceiling rather than his gaze being fixed on the frosted glass.
"Something tells me things aren't going well if you've yet to peel yourself off the floor."
Nesta rolled her eyes and turned her face toward the water once more. Maybe she could drown.
"Let me help."
"I thought I was pretty clear. I'm not accepting help from you."
A deep sigh sounded in the bathroom, but before she could snap, his rough voice followed.
"Fine. Don't accept my help. Rhys came with me to grab snacks for the others. I'll have him switch with me."
"No," she roared, cringing against the command in her voice and her lack of options.
Every time she tried to sit up, pain tore through various parts of her body. Her ass, the hip that had taken most of the impact, her shoulder. She needed help, and while she hated the idea of accepting it from Cassian, she would rot in hell before Rhysand helped her out of the shower. How had she found herself in a situation where her only chance at help was the man who spent the majority of his life being as big of a pain in her ass as possible?
His voice sounded again, but it carried away from her. "Rhys, head back without me." His brother's voice came next, but Nesta couldn't hear him over the patter of water in the shower. "Nah, I'm good. Just taking a break from the sun. I'll catch up."
With that, he shut the bathroom door behind him. At least Cassian had the good sense to lie to Rhys rather than recruit any additional attention to her compromising position.
"Alright, Sweetheart. I've got a towel ready. I'm going to open up and shut the water off."
Nesta's breath hitched at the rush of cool air, at the form that cast her in shadow almost entirely. She pulled her legs up and shielded her chest with her good arm, earning a throaty chuckle from her savior.
"I'm not looking. I'd rather when a woman wants me to see them naked."
Why her need to launch jabs at him overpowered her pain was lost on her. "Must have been a while, then."
"Saw a good set out on the beach, actually. She was feeling pretty generous after watching me and Az play volleyball, I guess."
Nesta scowled. That tingling sensation down her spine didn't feel secondary to her injuries at hearing the story.
"You're a pig," she grumbled, but she let Cassian drape the towel over her front and ease her into a sitting position.
"It felt rude not to look."
Her huff of a laugh was genuine. Damn him. He moved to wrap the towel tightly around her shoulders.
"Think you can stand up?"
Nesta grimaced against the soreness in her hip. "Yeah. In a couple of minutes."
Without a word, Cassian hoisted her into his arms with measured gentleness. Her cheek rested against his shoulder since she didn't have her arms free to prop her up, but she barely had the energy anyway.
He maneuvered them out of the tight bathroom and down the hall to her room, easing her onto the edge of her bed. She opened her mouth to say thanks, but he had already spurred into action.
"What did you want to wear?"
"I'll get it."
He shot her a glare. "Fine. I'll pick."
Nesta growled her frustration, but Cassian only ticked his eyebrows upward in challenge. She hadn't realized initially that he wore only his swim trunks, half of his black hair pulled back and out of his face. The sun added color to his already bronze skin and left a soft blush on his cheeks that accented his hazel eyes. And she, to the contrary, was a lump beneath a massive towel. One that had managed to injure herself during a simple shower, evidenced by the soaked strands of hair plastered to her face and shoulders.
"There's a large night shirt in my suitcase and some sleep shorts."
Cassian grabbed them before turning toward her, a hand gripping the back of his neck. "Anything... underneath?"
Nesta allowed a sardonic laugh. "Underwear are for people with the use of both their arms."
He cleared his throat and left the clothes next to her on the bed. With a final instruction to call for him if she needed anything, he was gone.
She assessed the clothing and picked the shirt up first. One of her arms was through a sleeve in no time, but the second one was another story entirely. With a defeated whimper she gave up, dropping her arms into her lap with a hiss.
"Cassian!"
No response. Maybe he didn't hear her; the house was rather large. Her voice was louder the second time.
"Cassian!"
A muffled thud sounded, followed by a quick, "Coming!"
He appeared at the threshold of her door, dripping with water and suds. A large towel was wrapped around his waist, his grip white-knuckled to keep it in place.
"Everything alright? Where's the fire?"
Nesta blinked at him. "You said to call you if I needed anything," she pointed out, running her eyes over his state in accusation.
Cassian let out a long, suffering sigh. "I meant it, but you said you had this part covered. I take a 3-minute shower, tops."
"Well, I don't have it covered."
There was more bite to her voice than she'd intended, but self-pity and shame were settling into her bones. She hugged the nightshirt tighter against her body to serve as some form of armor, but it wasn't nearly enough.
Cassian's shoulders sagged, but she barely noticed in favor of watching beads of water travel down his torso, over his strong calves, and make a small puddle on the floor below. "I'm sorry. I was full of sweat and sand. I thought you'd be more likely to take help if I was clean."
Something in her chest softened at his forethought, even more so since he was right.
"Go finish your shower," she relented, settling her hips deeper into the mattress. "I can wait until you're done. I just— I need some help with my clothes."
He was on the balls of his feet, ready to haul himself straight to the shower. The water beneath his feet made her breath hitch. The words left her before she could think better of them.
"Careful! Don't rush." He blinked as if seeing her for the first time, but his usual cocky grin eventually stretched across lips. "I can't help you if you fall, too. And I'm not keeping you company on the ground until the rest of them come back."
Cassian's smile grew. He offered her a wink before he replied, "You're cute when you're all worried."
Her eyes narrowed to slits. "Go."
He hurried off on balanced feet, whether that was on Nesta's orders or a natural grace, she wasn't sure. While she waited, she opted to set them up as best as possible to make the process quick and painless. Well, minimally painful, considering there was a layer of awkwardness that was going nowhere fast. That was without counting the actual physical pain she would no doubt endure.
With a pathetic swatting motion, she knocked her sleep shorts to the floor and began shuffling them around with her feet. She'd managed to slip one into the proper leg hole before she heard Cassian's rich laugh from the doorway.
"Stubborn woman," he mused, seemingly allowing a sliver of affection to slip through. Nesta knew better.
She scowled, turning her chin up to make sure he knew how unwelcome his teasing was. He laughed harder and dropped to his knees in front of her, adjusting the tee he’d pulled over his head on his way into the room.
"What do you want to put on first? You're half-committed to both."
"Let's go with the shirt. It's long enough to cover me while we work on the shorts." Cassian nodded, reaching toward the crumpled article of clothing in her lap. Nesta jerked back to establish some expectations before moving forward. "You're about to see me naked."
"Yeah, probably," he sighed, as if it was a burden to him, too. "I won't look more than necessary though."
"Okay, good. And this doesn't change anything, so don't start acting weird around me. We take this to the grave, too. We'll never hear the end of it otherwise."
Cassian bit the inside of his cheek, pursing his lips in a failed attempt to hide his amusement. "You have my word."
He gently peeled the shirt from her grasp, sliding each sleeve beyond the crooks of her elbows before pulling the opening over her head. Nesta hissed at the pinch of pain through her shoulder but bit her tongue.
"I know. I'm sorry." He pulled the fabric down her sides and over her back. The backs of his knuckles dragged across her soft skin, and she barely contained her shiver.
Clearing his throat, he looked to the floor where her shorts were still tangled around her feet. He got to work on straightening them and allowed her to slip her other foot into the proper place. He didn't dare look up at her through his next request.
"Think you could put your weight on the leg that's not as sore?"
Nesta swallowed and said, “Yeah, I think so.”
“Use my shoulders to brace your weight, too.”
Her hands trembled as she reached for him. He was solid beneath her, the muscles in his shoulders unyielding under her grip. She had to resist flexing her fingers more firmly in a test of their resilience.
Cassian eased her shorts upward, the roughness of his knuckles tracing the same blazing path as they had over her back. His gaze was fixed resolutely on the floor, yet he managed to release them at the proper moment. The soft pop of the elastic snapped her out of whatever trance she was under, but the echo remained in the feel of his warm hands easing her hips back down to the mattress.
"Maybe we should have someone take a look at you; make sure you're okay." His brows came together when he realized she was already shaking her head in refusal.
"I'll rest a bit, and I'll be fine. I may be sore tomorrow, but I'm good."
Without a word, Cassian braced one of his legs outward and scooped Nesta into his arms. It grated her nerves how easily he'd lifted them both into a standing position.
"What are you doing? You can't make me go to the doctor."
Cassian leaned back and shook his head, trying to get his rogue hair out of his face. "I'm not manhandling you to the doctor, Nes. Settle down." His bottom lip jutted out to try and blow the strands away while he walked. "I'm taking you to the couch and getting you ice."
Oh. Well, that hadn't been what she expected. The gesture was enough to have her mindlessly raise a hand to tuck a lock of hair behind his ear. His eyes snapped to hers, his steps slowing to a stop in front of the couch. Their faces were close enough that she could run her nose along his if she wanted to, but she definitely didn't. Not even at the feel of his firm chest heaving against her.
They stayed that way, transfixed by the contact that was somehow more intimate than when he had draped clothes over her naked body. Their breathing settled into a rhythm together, and Nesta couldn't resist tracing the path of his sharp jaw. His slight stubble scraped against the pads of her fingers, all the way to his chin, where she grazed over his skin with her thumb. She snatched her hand away like he'd burned her.
Cassian's throat bobbed, and his fingers flexed against her ribs. His other hand did the same against her thigh, except his thumb traced a soft, idle path back and forth along the sensitive skin at the back. He made no moves to put her down.
Nesta knew she would regret the loss of his warmth immediately, but the line they flirted was thin. Not to mention, it was irresponsible to succumb to such a base urge considering, any other time, they would be poised to rip each others' heads off.
The shrieks of children at the neighboring beach house snapped their attention to something beyond the bubble they'd created for themselves. Cassian eased her to the couch and positioned pillows around her to keep as much pressure off of her aching joints as possible. He threw a blanket over her legs before heading to the nearby kitchen for ice.
Nesta watched his retreat with shameless appreciation. How had she never stopped to look at him through her current lens? Doing so may have been enough to make her more agreeable in nature. The thought made worry sink in her gut with what had transpired moments before, and she craved the oddly familiar banter they'd engaged in since he showed up to the scene of her demise.
"So," she called, eyes fixed on the intricately patterned throw pillow beneath her injured arm, "how much did you see?"
His voice was closer than she'd expected, but she managed not to startle. "Uh— I mean. I saw some things."
Nesta fixed her glare on him, and he gave her a sideways smile while he placed the ice strategically over her shoulder. She hissed against the cold, earning a look of apology.
"What things?"
He let out along breath. "A bit of everything, really. Not on purpose. " A slight blush turned the tips of his ears pink, but Nesta didn't comment on it. "Mostly, you know—" He gestured back and forth between his pecs. "—everything else was more... indirect, I guess."
Nesta groaned, allowing her forehead to fall to her good hand, cradling it in her palm. Cassian moved to the nearby armchair and took a sip of his bottled water.
"Don't be embarrassed, Sweetheart," he soothed, albeit mockingly. "They're not the worst ones I've seen today."
—
They had watched a movie in loaded silence until the others trudged up to the house near sunset. Nesta gave the cliff notes of how she'd wound up injured on the couch, making no mention of Cassian's help. The last thing they needed was an onslaught of questions from their nosy friends.
"I thought you were coming back out there. What happened to you?"
Cassian's brows drew together at Rhys' question. "Well, I saw Nesta laid up on the couch and offered to watch a movie with her. I lost track of time."
Rhysand eyed him skeptically, but no one questioned it. Cassian redirected everyone's attention to the matter of what they would cook as a group that night, but he was sure to give Nesta strict orders to stay planted on the couch. Overbearing prick.
With so many hands on deck, dinner was ready quickly. They all settled around the table, and Gwyn had made it a point to cushion Nesta's chair with pillows before letting her sit down. Her best friend must have sensed the verbal lashing that awaited her in the privacy of their shared room that night.
Laughter filled the space while they told stories from the day's events. Apparently, Azriel had rescued Gwyn from a feared creature of the deep while taking a dip in the water. He had hardly been able to stop laughing himself to tears long enough to complete the epic tale of how he defeated the bundle of seaweed that had threatened Gwyn's life so mercilessly. The latter hadn't found it quite so amusing, but Az offered her a broad smile in apology.
Nesta wasn't sure she had ever seen one quite so wide on his face, and holy gods. If she'd thought him to be beautiful before, she had been sorely mistaken.
As they usually did, Rhysand and Feyre settled close to each other as the other talked. Rhys was busy murmuring things into Feyre's ear that made her cheeks as red as Gwyn's sunburn, which earned a proper warning from Cassian to "stop being gross with his little sister". Nesta agreed with him enough to refrain from reminding him that he was in no way related to Feyre.
"Don't mind him, Darling," Rhys purred. "He's pouting because the only action he'll see during this trip will be self-directed."
Cassian nostrils flared in annoyance, and for whatever reason, Nesta found herself rising to his defense.
"I don't know," she sang, "I hear Cassian saw a pretty good set today."
A chorus of questions broke out, but he only had eyes for Nesta. The gleam in his eyes told her he knew she hadn't been referring to the ones flashed to him and Azriel after the beach volleyball game.
"I did," he agreed, sipping some of the amber liquid in his glass. "Perfect, actually."
The questions continued, and Azriel reluctantly began recounting the tale of he and Cassian's victory flashing. Nesta used her good arm to raise her wine to her lips, mouthing a subtle thank you over the glass for everything he'd done for her. The least she could do was preserve a bit of his dignity.
Cassian lifted his class in mock cheers and said everything he needed to with a single wink.
The pleasure was all mine.

Favorite (Characters)
Ruby: *barges in* RatchetMath!
Me: What is it Ruby?
Ruby: You’re showing favoritism.
Me: Okay. And?
Ruby: You need to stop. Why not draw us for once?
Me: Hm, maybe because I like Jaune more. Hell I like Penny and Neo more than you or your team.
Ruby: Why?!
Me: Because your team is horrible.
Ruby: So is team JNPR!
Me: Yeah, but only because they have to follow you. They have some individuality but we don’t explore that as much. Plus, your team would be dead without them. But you know what Ruby, I would rather draw Yang, Blake or any other character except Weiss than you right now.
Ruby: What?! But I’m-
Me: The main character that barely does main character things. Woman, Salem was in Atlas! Why was she not your top priority? Why was James your problem?
Ruby: Um well…
Me: Ruby, she knows your mother! She might know what happened to her! I get Yang was some levels your mom but shouldn’t learning what happened to your actual mom be just as important? Especially after that dark memory.
Ruby: That is true.
Me: You have silver eyes but you still don’t know how to use them. There was army of grimm around Mantle and that would have been good practice. And a better solution than Ren.
Ruby: But then I be overpowered.
Me: No. Ruby your silver eyes only work on one person. If someone sneaks up on you or doesn’t care about that light you give off then, you’re dead. Maria is proof on that.
Ruby: Um..
Me: Plus, the question that everyone in the audience could have an answer to is whether your silver eyes can even work on Salem. In all honesty, it proves the writer don’t keep track of the characters and their personalities to where they fit together in story. You know what I have been making skits, trying to be funny but… the jokes died. Look guys I-I’m sorry but… let me explain.
1. Ruby and Blake should have stayed in Mantle. Why?
1. Salem is the main villian. She knows Ruby’s mother. You know the same mother who left for a mission and didn’t come back. The same mother, who Ruby knows nothing about while everyone seems to have different perspectives of her. Or has a better clue on who she is, than Ruby herself. Plus wasn’t Salem after her too? She basically would be killing two birds with one stone by kidnapping Oscar and giving Ruby a reason to see her. That way Ruby isn’t assuming what happened to her mother. Let Salem antagonize Ruby. (Question: Can silver eyes work on Salem?)
2. Perfect training for silver eyes. Let’s face it, Ren proved to us he can mask a bunch of people without Jaune’s help. All he needed was concentration. However, Ruby is more effective because silver eyes seem to be able to destroy multiple grimm on sight. And with lives on the line that gives Ruby plenty of reason to start using them.
3. Ren calling Ruby out on her issues. Look I loved how Ren was willing to tell the truth, but him revealing Jaune cheated Beacon was… weak. Reason being it relates to Jaune’s character and Ren still follows Jaune’s orders. However, Ruby, who is supposed to be a prodigy because she came to Beacon two years ahead of her class, has not proven once that she is worthy of such praise. The only reason-The ONLY reason Ruby was enrolled into Beacon was her silver eyes. Ruby even in volume one has been nothing but liability. Initiations, she almost dies from a Stinger. Stake out, she almost got run over by a truck and it ended in failure. First mission, she gets kidnapped and almost destroyed a city block. Roman, a man with no semblance or aura continues to beat her four times in a row. And it gets worse. Ruby almost got her uncle killed. She was the first to get knocked out by Emerald. Almost dies by a robot and Godzilla. And the moment she arrived in Atlas her first move was to lie to James. She didn’t even try to stop Tyrian when she saw him. She had her gun with her too. Ren is not her sister, he might as well tell her the facts so she can do better.
4. Blake is Faunus. Mantle hates faunuses. Why not have Blake help them to prove faunuses are people too? Let Blake represent her people. I mean Velvet and Sun represent faunses more than she does her whole existence. Blake also can relate to Ren’s problem. How? Blake was a part of the White Fang, so there were expectations she had to fulfill. Especially when trying to measure up to Adam. However, she explains the longer she was in the White Fang, the more she found out how messed up and extremely bias it was. Including with Adam to the point she decided to leave. She even states she was lucky that Yang even forgave her after all the trouble she caused her. Blake challenged her bias nature, and it made her stronger for it. Blake would be basically telling Ren the more he tries to live up to someone else’s expectations, without seeing their flaws, the more he loses touch with himself and everyone around him.
5. Oscar shouldn’t have been able break out of Salem on his own: I’m sorry but… Oscar got beat up. Took a magic beam to the chest. Had to switch between him and Ozpin and mind you he had no aura to help him. He should be tired and unable to move. (In my opinion, this kid was given too much screen time. At first I was worried about him but now I’m wondering why was I worrying at all.)
2. Jaune and Yang should have gone to Atlas.
1. Penny is basically Pyrrha in the opposite light. Penny’s special because she’s a robot with a soul, a mind of her own and an attitude to prove it. She is just as human as everyone else, but no one seems to treat her as such. James only sees her as something of a weapon. Pietro treats her like child even though she’s more mature than the rest of the female cast, except Maria. And now with maiden powers, everyone is out casting Penny even more. Jaune is perfect for her because he has experience with this kind of issue. However, he would’ve had to take different route to the situation considering his failure with Pyrrha last time they had discussion on maiden powers or responsibilities (Destiny.).
2. Jaune already has been a part of maiden business since volume three. His reason to be with Penny would be make sure she doesn’t meet the same fate as Pyrrha or Amber. Not just for himself but for others around him. Especially since Cinder was in Atlas and is willing to hunt her down for the maiden powers. And James was willing to turn Penny into a soulless machine to follow his every command. (Actually, Watts is more a fault considering he hates Pietro.). James and Cinder are also opposite to Jaune in some ways. James earned his position and earned respect from his military. Jaune on the other hand cheated, and unlike James might not have everybody’s respect. Cinder treats her allies like tools. And with power she just consumes and gives nothing return. Jaune however treats his allies like family. And instead of just taking power he gives power to others around him. He’s the reason Cinder has maiden powers. So, him making it his personal mission to make sure Cinder doesn’t get more power only increases his resolve to protect Penny. (Especially since he already had to kill her in the canon finale.) In other words, James and Cinder purposed a challenge to Jaune. Can he pervert history from repeating itself? Can he really protect the maiden powers? Is he truly worthy of being a huntsman? What is he willing to risk in achieving his goal? (Also let’s be clear. Hazel beat Oscar down for the password to the relic. James shot the kid and was willing to let him fall to his death. Qrow intentionally punched the kid. I don’t care if it was for Ozpin, he still punched Oscar. Lion before even knowing Oscar was Ozpin reincarnation was already about kill him anyways. All Jaune did was push him to a wall. Yes, Jaune still would have hurt Oscar, but he didn’t. He walked away.)
3. A lot of the situations could’ve been avoided or mattered if Jaune was there. Don’t believe me? Well let me explain. Was Ruby the only option when sneaking pass Central Command? No, because they had Weiss, Nora and Penny. Weiss could have done a freezer burn like in her fight with Marrow. Or Nora could have thrown her grenades and Penny just shoots them before the hit the ground or damage anything. Both causing a smoke screen, so no one sees them. Plus, they were already caught by using Pietro credentials. Did Nora need to get knocked out for the team to escape? No. If she had Jaune with her they could’ve one caused an EMP wave being Jaune has gravity and Nora has lightning. Or two, if Nora still went through with it, Jaune would have healed her immediately. Penny lifting and keeping the arena in place. If Jaune and Weiss were with her then once Amity was in position, Weiss with Jaune’s assistances can keep it place so Penny can come back inside and the whole video could be played. Also, Pietro would know what was going on with his daughter and can properly explain how to fix her. (Better than Jaune healing her.)
4. Nora’s whole character is knowing who she is without Ren right? Then why not just have her lead the evacuation once she’s done with Atlas? Why not have her and Yang work together along with the happy huntress to evacuate Mantle? Especially if their friends disappeared to save Oscar. (And before ya’ll tell me they can’t do it….. Yang, blocked a punch from a mech, held off a Manticore, and has a semblance that literally lets her take damage and dish it back five times harder. Nora who literally crushed Weiss and Yang in a food fight. Knocked a giant horse down on its knee. And knocked Hazel away. Are you seriously saying these girls are not enough to take on a few little tigers? Come on!) If the whole point of Nora’s character development was finding out more about herself then let Nora try something without Ren. Let her call the shots. Let her take charge. Give her a character. (Hell don’t stop there. Have her interact with other characters. Like Jaune. Yang. Weiss. Or anyone other character than Ren. Let them tell her what they think about her. Let Nora be a solution to a character’s struggle. Ya’ll make it sound like Nora has no friends.)
5. All Yang needed was a break from Ruby and Blake. In all honesty Yang should have been the one to see the hounds face and kill it. Why? Well Ruby is Yang’s sister and only reminder of her nonblood related mother. And Blake is her girlfriend. And if we saw the hound’s face, we know it’s not just a silver eyed person. It’s also a faunus. This will give her a reason to protect both her loved ones because by seeing the hound she knows Salem intention with Ruby and want to keep her, and Blake from meeting the same fate of being turned into monsters. Yang should’ve been the 2nd to 4th member of team RWBY to fall. Why? One, a Yang vs Neo fight. Two, Cinder and Neo both wanted Ruby dead. So why not get rid of Ruby first? The fights would have been more thrilling and seeing the character, the show is named after, presumed to be dead would have added stakes and tension to the fight. (Also let me say this. Why is it, that the only great display of the maiden powers I’ve ever seen, was from Amber and not the maidens, as of now, Winter, Raven, and Cinder? The maiden powers are basically magic right? Why isn’t Cinder using any other element than fire?)
6. Weiss was completely useless. Look, as the saying goes, “You can choose your friends, but you can’t choose your family.” And when it came to Weiss and family, she has little to no clue of what it is nor deserves it. Weiss should have been more of an inspiration for Whitley to do right. How? By simply talking to him. What reason would she have other than Mantle? Simple, he’s her brother and she started off like him. Beacon, she was a brat. She was arrogant. And more importantly a jerk. Blake ran because of her racist attitude. Ruby literally had to impress her to prove she can be leader. Even though Weiss is not leadership martial herself. Plus, hearing May and how she and her family never resolved their issues should inspire Weiss to not repeat that mistake. And guess what, her mom, Willow, the drinker of the family, wasn’t wrong. Both her and Winter left Whitley alone. Klein wasn’t there for him either. All Whitley had was his father. So Weiss, actually acting like his sister and trying to help him allows him to feel less alone. Instead Weiss was complete Jacque through out the entire volume.
And that’s all. Look I know I should have seen this coming but I had to say it. Volume 8 could’ve been good. The problem was.
1. Characters are not placed well within the story.
2. We lost track of who said characters are.
3. The ships are in the way.
4. Being dumb for the plot. (Sometimes it’s necessary.)

You groaned as you tossed out yet another piece of clothing. Professor Barber had asked you to come to his house, so he could give you ‘private lessons’. Obviously, you had no interest in actually studying. Especially with a man who looks like Andy Barber. You intended on milking the time you did have with him by getting what you wanted.
You settled on a tight skirt that hadn’t fit you in years. It was sexy enough to be enticing but innocent enough that you could claim plausible deniability.
You are not trying to tease him. You would never! You’re just wearing a normal skirt and taking lessons like the diligent and sincere student that you are.
You whistled lowly, pulling over in front of his house, impressed by the sheer size of it. He was an actual adult with a big, sophisticated house in the suburbs. The most valuable thing you owned was a Louis Vuitton bag an ex gave you.
You couldn’t be intimidated. Not now, when you were in this deep. Checking your lipstick one last time you rang the bell, holding your books up and eagerly waiting.
After a minute he opened the door. Leaning over the frame and examining you.
You felt butterflies pool in your stomach at his casual loungewear. His sleeves rolled up, exposing his tones arms to you and those dark jeans hugging him so perfectly. You really couldn’t decide if you preferred this or those business suits.
“You’re late.” he scolded you as you rolled your eyes. Of course that’s the first thing he'd say to you. “What have I said about rolling your eyes at me?” he cocked his head to the side, as if daring you to provoke him.
You hummed in thought, “I don’t remember.... Oh yes!” you beamed as if you’d had an epiphany “to do it as often as I can!”
He stared you down for a moment before shaking his head as he chuckled. “Get in here. What am I going to do with you?”
You were about to be a smartass some more, cooking up a dirty response in your head, just to see how far you could push him but then he put his hand on your lower back. You felt shivers run up your spine, goose bumps all over your skin as you squirmed under his touch.
“Is everything okay?” he asked, shutting the door behind you.
You gulped as you nodded, “Yeah, why wouldn’t it be? I’m just here to study.” You laughed to ease your own nerves.
“Go sit on the table,” he instructed.
You pulled out a chair, placing your books on the dining table. He sat in front of you, nursing a beer. “Let’s start. Where do you struggle the most?”
“Can I have one too?” You were about to take the bottle from him to take but he swatted your hands away.
“Absolutely not. You need a clear head to study. And we both know you can’t handle your alcohol.”
You scoffed incredulously, “I can so! And if I can’t have it then neither should you.” you puffed your cheeks before mumbling “beer tastes gross anyway.”
“Why do you have to make everything so difficult?” he groaned pinching the bridge of his nose. “Let’s not forget, I’m doing you a favor here.”
“I know, maybe I could thank you for it.” you licked your lips. Thinking of his heavy cock in your mouth, the biggest you’ve ever had, it was a challenge to deep throat him. You weren’t one to just give it away for free and not expect anything in return. But... anything for professor Barber.
“That’s cute,” he said condescendingly, giving you a fake wide smile. “Now start studying or I’ll have to spank you,” he warned.
“Don’t threaten me with a good time,” you giggled shamelessly, not really understanding how that would be a punishment, but then opened your book when he gave you a stern look.
He got up and walked to the stove check on his sauce. He just needed to get away from you for a moment and take a breather.
He hasn’t thought this through.
His original plan was to tutor you and get your grades up. So that you could graduate and he could ask you out without endangering his job and reputation. He intended to keep his hands to himself till then. One slip up and you both would have to face grave consequences.
The blow job in his office - was a mistake. Although it was too good to be something he mourned or regretted. He should’ve said no but you knew just to push his buttons. Just like the ridiculous schoolgirl skirt you were wearing tonight. Or how your tight shirt and cleavage left nothing to his imagination.
Worse of all was that fucking red lip. He hated that you had tasted him and he couldn’t even kiss you. What he wouldn’t give for just a quick peck.
“Mr Barber,” he heard you call for him and groaned as his cock stirred at your chirpy tone. He loathed just how far gone he was for you. You, sitting up so sweetly with your breasts pushed up together, certainly don’t make it any easier.
“I’m all done. Can we get on to the fun part now? Pretty please?” you cooed batting your lashes at him.
“The fun part is studying - keep telling yourself that and you might actually like it.” he suggested and you rolled your eyes again. He had half a mind to bend you over the table, lift up your skirt and pull down your panties, even though he was pretty sure you weren’t wearing any, and teach you a lesson. “Careful. Or they’ll get stuck up there.” He tapped your forehead with his finger.
“I meant the actual fun part.” Boldly, you reached over and palmed his crotch through his jeans. Not really surprised to find him aroused.
“Stop,” he gritted as he grabbed at your wrist with a bruising grip. “I told you, we’re not doing that. Not till you graduate or I’ll lose my job.”
“What about what we did in your office?” you pouted.
“That was a mistake. You left me no choice.”
You frowned, “Right. I overpowered you because you’re so weak and helpless.”
“Enough. Now study and then we can have dinner.”
“And then we have dessert?” You wiggled your brows suggestively.
“No. Then you drive back to your dorm.” he ignored your pitiful puppy eyes and sat across you, working on his cases. Maybe that would inspire you to actually get some studying done.
“Do you not like law?” he asked after over an hour.
You hummed as you heard him. Too engrossed in studying, you didn’t even register his words. You didn’t remember the last time you had concentrated so well. “Meh. It’s alright I guess. I wouldn’t wanna go to law school though.”
“Then what do you want to do?” he dropped his pen leaning back on the chair, crossing his arms across his chest.
“I don’t know. I guess what you do sounds nice,” you mumbled making notes with your glitter pens.
“Being a DA?”
“Yeah. It just sounds so hard though. Like going to law school and then being an intern for years and then working for like eighty hours a week...”
“Anything worth having is always hard to achieve.” he stated. Aware of how the same applies to his situation. He wants, no needs you, but if he wants to do this the right way - he has to wait.
“I guess you’re right.” you agreed.
After going over your notes and quizzing you, he was satisfied with your progress. He set the table for dinner.
“Good job,” he smiled, feeling his heart swell with pride. “See, you put your mind to something and you can absolutely achieve it.”
You squinted your eyes, “No spanking then?”
He chuckled “Nope. Not for now. I’m your tutor, that’s all.” he said more so to himself, to remember, to have some self control, it will pay off.
“Oh my gosh!” you moaned as the creamy tangy sauce burst your taste buds “I can’t remember the last time I ate something that wasn’t ramen.”
He shook his head “You need to eat better to study better.”
“But I don’t know how to cook!” you whined.
“Then I guess I’ll have you teach you that too.”
He helped you pack your things up, moving as slow as a sloth. Not wanting you to leave just yet. He couldn’t have enough of you. Maybe he’d ask you to stay in the guestroom. He had a perfectly good excuse, it was late. But he wasn’t sure he could trust himself to keep his hands off of you.
“Goodbye then. I’m going to quiz you tomorrow. Don’t forget.” he said walking you to his door. He turned to see you blinking up at him.
He never thought he’d be so smitten with someone so different than him. All his life he dated women his age or older. They suited his old soul much better, none of his relationships really went anywhere, maybe he was too cautious to actually let someone in. To open up enough, to reveal his true self to anyone.
But you were unlike anyone he had ever met, it was as if you were exotic. So bright - almost blinding. So young and sweet. You made him feel things he never thought he could. You could be the proverbial ying to his yang.
“Yeah yeah, I remember,” you waved him off. Still salty that you didn’t get to do any of the naughty stuff you had planned. “Is there something on my face?” You touched your cheek when you caught him staring at you. Letting out a shaky breath and cowering under his predatory gaze.
“I’ll try harder next time!” you panicked, assuming you did a bad job at studying. You tried your best. What else were you supposed to do? The idea of a spanking sounded more scary than sexy to you now.
“Fuck it,” he gritted as he crashed his lips over yours, grabbing your waist and your hip to still you. He invaded your mouth with his tongue, taking his time to explore all your nooks. Sucking your bottom lip between his lips before releasing it with a smack he pulled away. Both of you heaving and trying to catch your breath.
You threw your arms around his neck, pressing hot and quick kisses “I thought we were going to wait,” you said against his lips.
“I can’t. I thought I could. I’m only a man, you know?” he sighed as he pulled you in, exploring your body with his hands “What do you want to do?” As impatient as he was, he would never force himself on you or do anything without your permission.
“I just... I - ” Your cheeks instantly heat up as you stutter. As naughty as your filthy mind was, it had to choose this moment to betray you. “You know, you know! Oh my god,” you smacked your forehead “Are you really gonna make me say it?”
“Yes,” he breathed, leaning down to suck your earlobe “say it.” He peppered butterfly kisses on your jaw and down your neck. Sucking thoroughly on a spot that made you moan.
“Fine!” you huffed. Feeling his fingers ghost over your inner thighs. “Professor – sir, will you please fuck me. As in put your man missile in my special princess place.” you said in a mock seductive tone.
“Don’t sass me.” he groaned, pushing his erection into you, he put his hands on your shoulders to turn you around, lightly smacking your butt he urged you to go upstairs. “Come on, hurry up. We don’t have all night.” You did have all night but his patience, as it often did with you, was running thin.
You made yourself comfortable on his bed, working on his belt and unzipping his pants. “I’ve never been this addicted to a cock before, professor,” you husked pulling him out of his underwear and licking a firm stripe up his slit, his hand holding onto your head. “I hope you know you’re special.” you beamed at him through hooded eyes. Wrapping your lips around his weeping tip, about to swallow him whole but he pushes your head away.
“Right back at ya, honey. Now,” he laid down on his back beside you as you stared at him, so adorably confused, “come sit on my face.”
“What?!” you unintentionally screamed -in delightful horror. It had always been a fantasy of yours, so downright dirty, and you have a chance to do it with your dream man? You would be a fool to turn him down, but you were anxious, that beard between your thighs would be a bit too much for you to handle.
He didn’t give you any time to think about it, grabbing your hips and swiftly placing you on top of his head, “Oh!” you yelped at the coarse feel of his whiskers against your pussy. You held onto his short silky locks for support as he worked on steadying you “That’s - ” you were cut off when he wrapped his mouth around your clit, sucking it harshly.
“You’re already so wet,” The vibrations from his words sent a jolt up your spine “And you’re not wearing any panties,” he tutted before diving back in, determined to not stop until you’re seeing stars.
“Are you really surprised - holy shit,” you gasped as you felt his tongue prodding at your entrance before slipping in. It was so strange and new, the velvety warm feel of it was almost too good. “Oh, I’m gonna come.” you whimpered.
“No,” he pulled away “you don’t come without permission. Is that understood?”
You frantically nod your head, under any other circumstances you would’ve argued, who the hell does he think he is to deny or control your orgasms? But you were putty in his hands and desperate to have that sweet release. “Please, sir, can I come?”
“May I come.” He corrected you “You need to learn some manners.”.
And you had to supress the urge to call him names, “May I come, sir? Please.” you said breathlessly as he lapped you up.
“Yes, you may.”
You sobbed, his fingers digging into your ass and his tongue working magic on you was too good all at once. A string of curses and loud moans left your mouth, your climax hitting you in waves of pleasure, you held onto the headboard as your legs turned into jello.
“That was amazing,” you panted, mewling as he nipped at your sensitive flesh.
You got off of him, kneeling beside him as he got up, his beard drenched in your juices which he rubbed off with the back of his hand. Placing a sloppy kiss on your lips, to make you taste your own arousal, he pushed you down on his mattress and worked on ridding you of your clothes.
You pulled the helm of his shirt up “Off!” you whined. He was too far gone to chastise you so he took off his clothes, throwing them away before he got a good look at you.
He groaned at your naked form. He had thought of you while pleasuring himself more than once. He wouldn’t even be bothered to be ashamed of it. He thought of your lips and small hands wrapped around his girth, how tight and hot your cunt would feel, but most of all how beautiful you’d look when you were completely bare.
He painted a pretty picture in his head, but really, he never could do you any justice. His imagination could never be that strong.
“Is something wrong?” you bashfully averted your eyes from him.
“No. You’re just so... perfect.” he couldn’t come up with a better word.
You scoffed, “You’re just saying that. There are a million things I’d change about myself. I’m not the one who’s perfect!” you frowned. Tempted to touch his defined abs. His broad shoulders and bulky form looked ridiculously big between your legs.
“I don’t have time to argue,” He absolutely would not have you or anyone else, putting you down. Bur right now, his cock was aching to be buried in your heat. If he waited any longer he was afraid he’d burst. He lined his cock up to your entrance, watching intently as he slowly pushed in “but we will have a discussion about that, later.” he groaned as he bottomed out.
“What?” You had no idea what he was even going on about. His cock was stretching you out “It’s too big,” you cried. You felt as if you were being split in half.
“It’s okay, sweetheart. You can handle it. I’ll be gentle.” He was aware that he was much bigger than average. So he stayed inside you for a few moments, letting you get accustomed to his length. He slipped a hand between your joined bodies, spreading your lips open with his fingers.
“Don’t - don’t do that.” Him looking at your pussy like that, when you were so vulnerable before him made you flustered.
“Look,” he told you and you only shook your head. He sternly said your name and ordered you to look again.
You propped yourself up on your elbows, gulping as you sneaked a peek, whimpering at the sight of his girth buried inside you.
“You have such a pretty pussy you know that?” He gushed before making a ‘tch' sound and stilling your hips, stopping your pathetic attempts at wiggling them. “Wait a minute, will you?” he wasn’t done admiring you and savoring you.
“Please,” you begged as tears fell down your cheeks.
He grumbled something under his breath before pulling out of you, his tip still buried in your heat, he pushed back in forcefully.
You threw your head back, clutching your pillow tightly as his hips rutted into you. His pelvis rubbing your swollen clit every time he bottomed out.
“Can I - can I come?” you remembered to ask him even though you were too delirious to even comprehend what you we’re sayings. Everything around you slipped into an abyss. His groans echoing in the room, his bruising grip on your hip, and his cock driving into you again and again, touching all your sweet spots.
You weren’t sure you could stop yourself even if he said no. But you knew he’d never be that mean. You vaguely heard him say ‘yes' before you let go. Clenching around his length as you slapped a hand over your mouth to keep from screaming anymore.
His hips stuttered, pulling his length out of you, he stroked himself above you. Your fucked out state only fuelling his aggressive jerks as spurts of his seed landed on your stomach and your titts.
He held onto your knee, swirling his cum that painted your skin so beautiful with his fingers, “Looks pretty on you,” He smeared some on your nipple before pulling it between his fingers.
“Ouch,” you grimaced as he released it. “Too sensitive right now.” you closed your eyes, already feeling drowsy.
He hummed “I’ll let you sleep for a few hours.” He used his discarded shirt to clean his cum off of you before throwing it away and pulling you in his arms. He nuzzled his nose in your hair, feeling satiated with your soft warm body against him.
“You have god tier stamina, man.” You murmured “Andy, you couldn’t even last a day. What happened to being patient? What will people say?” you giggled, burying your head in his chest.
“That’s Professor Barber to you.” he smiled, kissing your temple. Even tired, you were still a spitfire. He’d deal with all that the next day. “It was worth it.”

Y/n L/n!
Quirk: pure energy!
Y/n has the ability to produce a unlimited powerful energy that she can use at her deposal!
Abilities: energy shots, enhanced strength/ speed/agility, flight, healing factor, weapon creation, ultra durability, non-tiredness (she can still sleep)
What will a certain blond would do!
Aizawa: Mic, stop breaking the 4th wall...
Ahhh I had some issues with my ask box and I couldn't see any asks I got. Sorry about the late answer!
Yep I'm Stronger
Bakugou had a weird relationship with anyone he considered as an equal and as a competition. Yes, his first instinct was to absolutely hate them while he secretly couldn’t help but respect their strength. However, when it came to you, he couldn’t help but be straight up confused about his feelings.
You joined UA as an exchange student on their second year and at first glance, the angry blonde of the class only thought of her as a random extra. One that happens to look kinda cute. Totally not worth his attention. However, that changed very quickly as soon as you showed off your quirk, things changed drastically. Not only did he find you cute, he also found you worthy of your attention.
And that is exactly what led to this dilemma. Bakugou Katsuki had a crush on someone he considered as an opponent. Due to having an emotional range of a teaspoon, it was obvious that the angry blonde had no idea on how to deal with these new feelings and he ended up doing exactly what everyone would've predicted. He just became more angry.
It started with a simple challenge of a match between the two of you and it ended up being a straight up toxic rivalry, much like the one between him and Deku. However, unlike the freckled boy, you did not hold back on your insults as well as your quirk. You see, your quirk was "Pure Energy" which allowed you to produce an unlimited amount of energy which allowed you to throw energy shots, have induced strength, agility, flight, healing factor, weapon creation, ultra durability and non tiredness. In short, your quirk was overpowered compared to Bakugou's explosion, which made every fight end with him being defeated.
While that clearly hurt his massive inflated ego, he couldn't help but get more attracted to how badass you were, which ultimately only made his anger issues become worse, resulting in more yelling around the UA dorms and ofcourse, more challenges thrown at you.
Kirishima and Midoriya, the two people who finally cracked the code of understanding the explosive boy, figured out the source of the problem as everyone tried to tolerate the constant yelling between the two of you. Yep, Bakugou had a crush on you and did not know how to deal with it. Was the entire class surprised when the two geniuses unraveled this information? Nope. They were used to Bakugou being Bakugou.
However, they really had to do something about the current predicament due to the horrible case of sound pollution in the dorms. Surprisingly, the brilliant idea of getting the two of you together came from Kaminari's head. "Why don't we make them bet on playing mario cart together? (Y/N) really sucks at gaming so Bakugou would definitely win. And they can go on a little date together after she loses and maybe with a bit of our help, Bakugou can actually confess to her." He proposed as the entire class looked at him in shock. "Why are you guys looking at me like that?" He asked, confused. "Denki-kun... YOU FINALLY SAID SOMETHING SMART!" Mina sniffled to which Kaminari responded, "Oh fuck you Mina! I'm not charging your phone again!"
The plan was finally put into action through Todoroki, who ended up challenging Bakugou, saying, "Do you not want to play Mario Cart with (L/N) because you are scared of losing?" with the straightest face possible. Ofcourse he got blown away with a huge "DON'T FUCKING UNDERESTIMATE ME HALF AND HALF BASTARD!". Which is why you found yourself losing 13 times straight in mario cart against Bakugou. Damn your over competitive ass.
The bet was that Bakugou would buy you Katsudon if you ended up winning vice versa. However, this meant you had to buy him Katsudon for 13 days straight, which would get rid of all your savings for the last few months. Bakugou hated the sad look on your face and while grumbling to himself about how stupid he's being, went to Kirishima for advice after Kaminari "discreetly" mentioned the whole savings fiasco.
"Why don't you make her help you cook dinner for the week instead? Since you always accidentally make extra servings for us, having someone to help would be easier right?" Kirishima adviced, according to plan. Unknowingly, Bakugou fell in the trap carefully laid by his classmates as he grumpily asked you to change the bet, which you happily agreed to as you didn't want to spend all your money. Little did you know that you were going to have to deal with a gordon ramsey level chef with the skills of barely frying an egg.
However, surprisingly, even after you were a complete disaster in the kitchen, Bakugou was surprisingly patient. The Bakusquad, who came with the shitty plan of making you, a kitchen hazard, cook with Bakugou, a guy who can run a 5 star restaurant if he wanted to, was very much surprised with Bakugou's patience (though he forbade you from cooking since day 2 and just talked to you while working).
Surprisingly, you found Bakugou to be a pretty decent guy when he was not mad. Infact, he stopped challenging you as much, being glad that he's better than you at atleast two things. Hell, he was super attractive while cooking. You already found him hot since day 1 but his personality pissed you off till now. However, that clearly changed by day 7 of you watching him cook.
"Damn Bakugou! How do you cook this good?" You exclaimed as you tasted the sushi he made. "Call me Katsuki Baka." Bakugou grumbled without realising what he said. "It's (Y/N). Not Baka." You mumbled blushing as you looked away, making Bakugou realise what he just said. "Bakugou's fine too." He grumbled again, trying to undo his mistake. "I like Katsuki better though..." You answered as you became as red as a tomato. "It's Katsuki for you then." Bakugou answered, blushing.
After an awkward silence, Bakugou asked, "so, are we friends or something?" To which you answered "Sure. Do you wanna be more though?". That turned the great King Explosion Murder almost explode as he answered , "I don't mind being more if that's what you want.". "I guess we are more then..." You answered with pink tinting your face as you smiled.
Another moment of awkward silence later, Bakugou answered, "you really are a baka though.". "Ehh? The fuck do you mean? I'm stronger than you!" You snapped making Bakugou smirk. "Are you though? I can game better and I can cook better. Yep, I'm stronger." He answered cockily.
"At the end, the dorms weren't saved from the sound pollution as they continued to bicker like a married couple instead!"- Present Mic
"For the last time, please stop breaking the fourth wall."- A very tired Aizawa.

As much fun and easygoing as things were for you, you felt glad for the holidays break. You got out of the cab and breathed in deeply, inhaling the scent of the reservation forest that boarded the neighborhood.
Every year your pack has their own ritual to celebrate your ancestors during the holiday, and you were actually looking forward to participating this year, after missing it since you started college, for many personal reasons - and one of them included a very difficult talk with your parents. Also, so much has happened this semester that being in the small city allowed you to breathe some fresh air and organize your thoughts.
Your parent’s received you immediately as you went through the front door, with big hugs and wide smiles.
“It’s so good to have you home” your mom patted your head, her small frame making her reach high to do so.
“Let me take your stuff to your room” Your dad grabbed your luggage and turned around to take them upstairs
“Oh, it’s fine, I can take them” You tried to stop him, but he pretended he didn’t listen. But you knew he loved feeling like the man of the house. You redirected yourself to your mom “I think I could use a shower and a nap, the trip was too long.”
“Of course, honey, I’ll call you for lunch.”
You crossed paths with your dad in the doorway, who offered a small smile. He wasn’t very fond of small talk, so that was usual of him. You closed the door behind you and sat on the edge of the twin bed centered on the room. You looked around and took in the scent of your old home, which immediately brought back so many memories.
Before you left for college, you and Changgu were on bad terms, so there weren't pictures of you together anymore, but you could still see the tape marks on where they used to be glued on your old vanity mirror. You also remembered perfectly which drawer you have tucked them away, the one that you were currently staring at, contemplating taking a look at them. In the end, you just shook the idea off of you and followed what you’ve told your mom.
The day was rather quiet and peaceful, the big event being held in the night, and the talk you were dreading could wait after the celebrations. Your parents had visited you in college a couple of times, and you have visited them too, but it was rare, never for the holidays, so they prepared a special family lunch and you couldn’t deny that you had a good time being around them.
All the pack had gathered in a big clearing at night to celebrate, and the bonfire already burned high. You could feel all the attention shifting to you as you arrived, your dominant scent overpowering everyone else's, and you held yourself high.
The day you left the city you promised yourself to never get close to this pack again. They’ve ignored you and diminished you as an Alpha, and you knew this place wasn’t for you. They were all surprised to see you back, they could barely hide it, but every time you made eye contact with someone, they quickly turned away avoiding you.
You didn’t hide, not ashamed of you or your choices, but it was rather uncomfortable, the tension almost palpable in the air. You quickly grabbed your phone and texted Wooseok.
“ Please tell me you headed back town for the holidays”
To which he quickly replied
“I actually came to a friend’s house, I’m not there, sorry :(“
You sighed. The cold weather wasn’t so bad, the cool breeze was blowing softly and the fire kept the place warm if you got close enough. Your parents stopped along the way to say hi to their friends, but you followed closer to the bonfire, where your eyes quickly met the current Alpha.
For a moment you had forgotten he was Changgu’s father, but seeing him immediately brought the information back to you. They looked alike so much, the same eyes full of expression and sharp jawline. He was staring at you, not so happily, and nodded when you looked at him. Your expression could be sour, you weren’t sure how much you were holding back, but you respectfully nodded back.
He sustained the stare a couple more seconds, so did you, but soon he was calling everyone’s attention. Everyone gathered close and his wife stood by his side. That’s when you saw Changgu, getting close to his father with a stoic expression on his face.
You shoved your hands in the pocket of your jacket and offered a half-smile when he noticed you. At first, he seemed confused but returned the gesture
“Brothers and sisters” The senior Alpha called “tonight we celebrate the ones who have left us. Our ancestors passed us their wisdom,” He spoke firmly and slowly, looking around at everyone. “Their strength lives in us, and so we honor them with our nature.”
There was a long speech about union and tradition that to you it sounded too much like hypocrisy since the traditions would include you, supposedly the next Alpha of the pack, to be standing there as a successor. You did not bother, because you expected nothing else.
The leader of the pack was the first to turn. His skin shredded, giving space for the long dark brown and silver fur to grow as a howl echoed loudly, bringing out everyone’s instinct, but especially your Alpha ones, and soon you had shifted.
This was one of the reasons you wanted to come. Being in university has you taking suppressants daily, so letting yourself run free was like getting rid of tight clothes that restricted your movements. You howled loudly to follow the collective chant, an ode to the departed ones, a hymn for the pack, the freedom of instinct.
The pack’s Alpha ran in the front, leading everyone with his big frame. Changgu followed him, and it’s been so many years since you’ve seen his wolf form that you felt surprised. He was bulky and big, his posture very imponent, and you stopped to admire it for a second.
The run was freeing. The wind hiding your wolf nozzle, pushing your fur back, your paws hitting the dirt. You needed that, and just letting yourself act on your instincts was the best thing you could grant yourself at that moment.
Reaching the highest point of the forest, the collective howling restarted. You stopped right next to Changgu, whose wolf eyes watched you intently, and in wordless communication, you howled together, allowing the instinct to speak for yourselves.
…
After the traditional pack run, a feast was hosted by the Alpha, usually in his house, which was big enough to fit everyone comfortably in the large backyard.
Everyone happily celebrated what was the closest to a wolf Christmas, with an abundance of food for everyone. You sat with your parents at the assigned table, attending the event quietly, holding yourself back just enough to not drag any more attention than you were already getting. Mr. Yeo, the Alpha, customarily greeted every individual, and when he approached you and your family, you stood up and bowed respectfully.
"Thank you for having us" your father shook his hands
"It's my pleasure," Mr. Yeo politely answered, "I didn't expect your daughter to come."
He talked about you like you weren't there, and you were pretty sure that was purposefully meant to challenge your position.
"I came to pay respects to the tradition, sir" you opened a forced smile. A damn good one. "Can't let that behind me."
His eyes snapped in your direction with intensity, letting the impassive expression on his face falter for a second.
"Of course" he smoldered, masking it with a smile probably just as fake as yours.
To him, you represented a threat to his family's legacy, so it wasn't a big secret that he isn't very fond of you.
"I hope you enjoy the party," he said to you and your parents altogether, but redirected the last sentence at you "if there's anything you need, just tell me and I can provide."
"Of course, thank you so much" your mom answered gladly. She followed her leader with passion and always tried to be in good graces with him, so she's always been strict in the sense of community tradition and formalities.
"No need to thank me, ma'am" he smirked "that's just an Alpha job"
The provocation was like a punch in the gut. Ever since you were revealed an Alpha, Mr. Yeo tried to do everything in his power to deprive you of your given rights inside the pack. He raised Changgu to take his place and hated your guts for ruining his plans. He was a man of power and didn't appreciate when someone threatened that position.
"Y/N…" your mom called you with a warning tone to her voice.
You didn't notice how you were instinctively growling, low enough for only people close to the table to hear, but your Alpha emotion was strong enough to cause some heads to turn in your direction.
Mr. Yeo, of course, smiled in victory from a distance, happy to make you look bad in front of the community.
"You really don't care that he does everything to undermine me, do you?" You said to both of your parents.
"Honey, he's the Alpha." Your mom said calmly "everything he does is to protect you. Is the best for everyone."
"You do know I'm an Alpha too, right?" You scoffed, rolling your eyes.
They both stayed quiet. You looked at your dad, hoping he would say something in your favor, but he just complies with your mom's orderly silence.
"Yeah, thanks," you said, standing up and leaving.
Growing up you used to love being with your pack these kinds of celebrations were your favorite time of the year. But now everything changed and suddenly you felt so misplaced that you felt like you didn't know anyone anymore. You knew all your neighbors, and their kids who went to school with you, but now they were almost complete strangers to you.
You grabbed a bottle of beer and looked around for the only familiar face you could find there. Changgu was not running Alpha errands with his dad, so when you found him he was surrounded by a group of girls, apparently younger than you, swooning at every charming smile of his, and you could just see how much he adored all the attention. You chuckled at his fuckboy attitude and the poor deluded girls who had a crush on him, hoping to get the son of the Alpha in love with them.
"Y/n?" You heard your name being called, taking you always from your thoughts.
The boy who called you was tall and slim, a long-ish hair half up in a ponytail and he looked happy to see you.
"Hey…?" You said with uncertainty, trying to figure out why he looked so familiar, but you just couldn't remember his name
"Hyunjin" he chuckled "I don't know if you remember me, but we went to school together."
"Right, Hyunjin, of course, I remember!" It finally clicked to you. Hyunjin was an omega, a few years younger than you but you two used to share some clubs in high school, but he didn't look so… hot. "You look so different, sorry it took me a while to recognize you."
"Yeah," he laughed shyly, scratching the back of his head. "I haven't seen you since you left for college. You look great"
His flirtatious half-smirk was very obvious and you actually thought he looked quite cute.
"You look great yourself" you bit your bottom lip, looking him up and down "But yeah, I kind of focused on graduating rather than coming here."
"I'm glad you're here now." He fully smirked this time "wanna go somewhere quieter? I'd love to catch up with you"
You felt hesitant at first, and you looked back to find Changgu again, and this time one of the girls was grabbing his arm, running his hand all over it. You wanted company for the party, and since Changgu was busy flirting, why shouldn't you do the same?
"Of course, let's do it." You took one last sip of your beer and linked arms with him.
He guided you around the house to the front porch, where you rested your elbows and watched the quiet street. Hyunjin had his back against it, looking at you.
You two actually did some catching up, and even exchanged numbers. You found out Hyunjin also went away for college, but he always came back for the holidays and breaks, and stuff like that, but nothing you were really paying attention to.
"You know, I have to confess something." He said, straightening his posture "I sort of had a crush on you, back in the days"
"Really?" You laughed softly, amused at the sudden confession. "Why didn't you say something, then?"
"Ah," he clicked his tongue. "Everyone knew you only had eyes for Changgu."
You rolled your eyes involuntarily.
"C'mon, everyone knew that, and Changgu didn't let anyone get close to you"
You were actually surprised to hear that since this wasn't something he ever told you but explained why you weren't popular with boys in high school.
"Well," you stood up and stopped directly in front of him "I don't see Changgu anywhere now, do you?"
Hyunjin grabbed your waist, pulling you closer to him, and your hands held the collar of his jacket.
"I guess I should shoot my shot, then" he licked his lips, alternating looks between your eyes and lips.
"What are you waiting for, big boy?" You challenged him.
He reached forward, kissing you rather urgently. His plumpy lips felt soft against yours, and he was a really good kisser. He pulled you against him, and you intertwined your fingers on the loose hair behind his neck. He gasped when you tugged on it, and you grinned into the kiss for getting a good reaction out of him. His hands sneaked down your waist, boldly squeezing your ass as the kiss got more intense, and he earned a shy hum of satisfaction out of you.
The noise of someone clearing their throat interrupted you two, making both of your heads snap in its direction, but neither of you really letting go of each other.
"Y/N" Changgu called you rather sternly, with a matching frown on his face. "I need you to help me deal with some stuff"
You sighed.
"Looks like some things didn't change, did they?" Hyunjin whispered just for you to hear,
"I'm not done with you yet." You whispered back, nibbling his earlobe.
"Now." Changgu interrupted again.
You pecked Hyunjin's lips before detangling from him, only then noticing that his hands were still in your ass.
"Text me, ok?" You said to him loudly as you followed Changgu inside the house.
He walked large steps and didn't bother looking behind to see if you were following.
"You couldn't have picked a worse moment to need me to deal with some bullshit, could you?" You whined, but he still paid no attention to you "all night, I was there doing absolutely nothing, and when I finally started to have some fun you decided I was important enough to attend whatever this is."
You babbled but still, he didn't respond, and you just kept following him around corridors in the big house, finally entering a dark room
"What is so important anyway that you had to call me so urgently-"
Changgu interrupted you when he pushed you against the door, making it slam loudly, his lips crashing against yours with a certain vigor.
At first, your eyes widened in surprise, and you pushed him back to look at him, but his hold on you didn't loosen up.
"What the fuck, Changgu?"
"Just," he stopped to think, breath already heavy in anticipation "shut up"
He resumed kissing you, and this time you rolled with it because, you couldn't deny, kissing him was something you ever saw yourself getting tired of. He pressed his whole body against yours, grinding on you making you gasp every time his thigh in between your legs rubbed against your clothed core.
"Fuck, Changgu" you said when he attacked your neck.
You pull the hair on his nape, making him look at you
"Is that what this is about?" You asked, forcing yourself to think straight "you can't bear the thought of me fucking someone else?"
Rather than answering, Changgu just growled, making you laugh ironically
"So you can flirt with all those pretty girls out there," you raised your eyebrows, "but I can not hook up with people? As if, Changgu"
You weren't as mad as much as you were enjoying taunting him for being so desperate to have you his.
"Just shut up, for fucks sake" he rolled his eyes and picked you, only to throw you on the bed behind him.
You finally recognized Changgu's old bedroom, with the light that came from the window above it. It was different, with no more posters taped to the wall or the action figures he liked to collect. It was a simple room with minimal decoration now.
"Gonna break another bed, wolfie?" You teased "I don't think daddy would be very happy to know you're fooling around with the Alpha"
He growled loudly, hooking his hands around your legs and pulling you closer to him, your bottom hitting his knees, which were pressed against the mattress. He leaned down and viciously kissed you, nibbling and ducking your bottom lip.
"You know, you're way hotter when your mouth is shut" he panted in between kisses.
Having turned into wolves mere hours ago had all your instincts right under the skin. The dominance, the connection between you and your Beta, the lust. Everything was on edge and you guessed that's why Changgu was so desperate.
He unbuttoned your jeans and pulled them down with your underwear in one swift motion while you took off your shirt, revealing your bare breasts underneath it. Changgu licked his lips and chuckled cockly when he ran a finger down your slit, showing you how wet you already were.
He took his shirt off, but didn't bother with his pants, and leaned back down to lick a long stripe of your juices, brushing softly on your clit on the way.
You moaned weakly.
"I'll show you why you're better here than with the what's-his-name out there." He said in a low husky voice.
He kept his hand around your legs and captured your sensitive nub in between his lips, making you buck your hips and grab his hair in response.
His back muscles were on display for you and it was hot to watch it contract and relax as he moved in between your legs.
"You're so eager for me, aren't you?" You teased him again and he hummed, sending vibrations down your core. "Do your worst, let me see if you're worth my time"
He leaned back up and you hated the loss of contact, but he quickly spun you around and pulled your hips up exposing your ass to him, and a harsh slap sting on your skin, accompanied by his deep growling that he didn't seem to have control over, and you yelped at the burning pain.
You heard him fumbling with his belt and soon he was entering you with no warning, making you bury your head in the pillow to muffle a loud moan. He didn't give you any time to adjust as he pounded into you fast, showing his desperation. He angled his hips just right to hit the perfect spot inside you to make you scream.
For a second you were afraid someone would hear you, but the backyard was not that close to the bedroom, and you tried to suppress your noises the best you could. Changgu seemed to be out of control with the way he hissed and moaned, your name falling out of his lips here and there.
A sloppy rushed fuck was not on your plans tonight but, fuck, it felt good. Changgu was getting sloppier by the minute and you just knew he wouldn't last long. You reached in between your legs and circled around your glistening clit, realizing you were in no better state than he was.
The closer you felt to your high, the more you squeezed your walls around Changgu's member, and the louder he moaned.
"Are you trying to get us caught?" You managed to say "such a loud wolf."
He didn't respond, too focused on fucking you, but he didn't get quieter.
You fastened your movements and had again your head buried in the pillow, moaning freely as you reached your orgasm, your whole body vibrating in pleasure. Changgu started thrusting faster, gripping your hips harder and pulling you against him to meet his thrust, and soon enough you felt his seed dripping down your thighs, strangled noises caught in his throat as he rode his high.
You relaxed your body when he pulled out of you, laying down with your stomach against the mattress, crossing your arms under your head for support. Changgu threw himself by your side, facing the ceiling and panting, looking fucked out already.
"Jealous wolf, aren't we?" You tapped his chest, provoking him
"Shut up" he chuckled
"How many girls did you fuck in this bedroom anyway? You were quite popular with the ladies back in high school. I bet they all died to be in Yeo Changgu's bedroom" you mocked a dreamy-girly voice.
"Do you really want to talk about who I fucked in high school?" He chuckled.
"Well, someone had to get laid, right? Since I couldn't because someone told boys to stay away from me." You smirked at his embarrassed expression
"Hyunjin is such a snitch, he was never good enough for you" he rolled his eyes and looked away.
"And who is? You?" You scoffed
"I didn't hear you complaining when you were screaming against the pillow just now"
You slapped his chest and he laughed loudly
"Jerk" you mumbled.
"Guess you can go back to your pretty boy out there", he said in a teasing voice, "if you're still interested, that is".
"So cocky, aren't you?", he laughed at your mocking expression.
"Maybe. But we still have festivities to attend".
"Unfortunately".
You got dressed in comfortable silence and after a few minutes, you were good to go. Changgu stood by the door and smiled at you before opening it and waving for you to walk by him. As you walked out, a satisfied smile took over your face and you only hoped people wouldn't notice the smell of sex on you too much. You and Changgu parted ways and for a second you let the whole tension of your body relax during the holiday. Just for a while.

Crimsoned
Honestly? This could’ve turned out a whole lot worse.
Really, it all started with the invitation. He knew Dream decently well and they had mutual respect. Why would Purpled not check out his server? Especially when people were making content and making connections there.
Personal and some business. Win-win.
—
He accepted the invite to the SMP and intended to make an impact. Built a super cool base, got decently stacked, tamed some dogs. He even got to make some friends.
So what if he was a bit out of the loop sometimes. He’d show up to back up his friends when they needed it. He’d stand up to anyone trying to trick him or make him the butt of their joke. He’d be a good samaritan and help people out from time to time. He didn’t need much more than a thank you and some iron.
It’s also just easier to “borrow” things if he doesn’t come to mind easily.
—
Sure, missing huge events sucks.
He leaves the server for one (1) day to have lunch with some friends and his communicator is blowing up with the SMP’s open chat and VCs.
By the time he makes it back, the fighting’s being settled with a duel before anyone even tells him what the stakes are. It’s frustrating to have his dms and voice call attempts ignored in the aftermath, but he gets it. It’s fine.
It’s also fine when he finds out about the new country and they don’t let him join. Being neutral’s suited him so far and even if the thought was nice, he’s only on speaking terms with like three people there. It’d be awkward and he’d rather not insist on that.
So he flies solo for a bit. Just his dogs, sometimes Ponk, and his bedwars squad.
He builds, he mines, he breaks beds. Life goes on.
Then he gets another invitation. Hand-written by Tubbo.
There’s a festival. And honestly he wasn’t expecting to even be invited. Things were sort of tense between everyone else at the moment, he wasn’t sure if he should even show up to a large event in unfamiliar territory.
...
Fuck it, he has pearls. Tubbo’s giving a speech and it’s been forever since they’ve talked. Maybe they’ll have some time to catch up before spats inevitably break out and emotions boil over. Then he can pearl out and check off his monthly human interaction quota.
A safe plan that goes not at all to plan.
Tubbo walls off to talk to someone away from everyone else. Schlatt pulls the twist of a lifetime. Technoblade was apparently on this server and killed Tubbo in front of everyone.
At least the speech was nice. He’d tell Tubbo that if he hadn’t just gone into auto pilot and killed Tommy because someone yelled to.
He, he should probably get home. Dogchamp was still waiting for him.
Yeah, he’ll do that.
—
It’s odd.
After this long doing mindless busy work on the server and grinding bedwars, he’s almost in shock when someone turns up on his cabin doorstep.
Karl, apparently. He’s asking if Purpled would like to help Dream and Schlatt defend Manberg. Offers up a shield.
And Purpled’s indecisive about it.
He takes the shield, accepts and promises he’ll be ready. But then turns around and starts wondering who he should be loyal to.
He’s been neutral this whole time. It would’ve been so easy to just turn Karl down and bite back if they tried to force him to help them.
But he hasn’t seen anyone on this server in ages. Hasn’t sat down and had a chat for even longer. What did Manberg stand for? Why was it being attacked? Who did he just ally with? Who would he be fighting?
He has no details and Karl and Schlatt have offered him none. Dream’s dm to stay away from Manberg is pretty pointless now, considering he’s already signed up for whatever this is.
It takes him until after the first shots are fired, but he’s made his choice.
He sides with L’Manberg’s people and hopes it doesn’t bite him.
It’s a win until it isn’t. He’s glad his pearl reflexes are still up to snuff, otherwise he would’ve been done for for sure.
He witnesses a murder and says nothing about it. Kills a wither and pockets its star. Watched Technoblade threaten some children.
Maybe it’d be best to stay away from anything government-related for the time being.
—
New era, new home!
He’s got a really cool base idea in mind and he’s tested out the basics of the redstone on a pocket single-player world.
He terraforms, builds, and adjusts things until the sun goes down. And even then he keeps busy.
Farming, building, bedwars. He hasn’t seen anyone in a while-
There’s a dirt platform.
There’s an ugly fucking dirt platform that’s right over his cove. And apparently it’s a whole other country right over his home.
He wonders if it’d be worth calling up those anarchists in the woods about it.
He decides to just leave and hope it goes away.
—
He spends a lot of time away after that. Recharges in the company of friends and even takes a break from the grind too. It’s just him in Hypixel Housing with his dogs having a little vacation.
—
He comes back to the server with a lot of energy and a need to use it.
Calls up Ponk about a new business venture.
Real estate.
During his time away he had plenty of time to think about the server and distance himself from it to do so.
People value their stuff so much.
Their pets, their disks, their builds. They well and truly care about them all.
One thing they don’t really care about is the land.
It gets blown up by creepers and burnt out ex-politicians. It’s fought over, sure, but so was a goddamn cow. People will take any excuse for violence on this server.
But the point is that land claims are very valuable and very subjective. No one’s writing up deeds by the coordinate, and he and Ponk will take advantage of that.
—
It could’ve gone worse.
They technically won that duel. Antfrost owes them iron now. Scam successful.
But it raised a lot of issues.
How are they going to handle people who they can’t overpower? Can they use the law angle without getting targeted by Technoblade? How big do they want this scheme to get? How are they going to sustain it?
There are so many complications he didn’t think about before going into it. He doesn’t regret any of it, but damn he wishes he’d planned for contingencies.
Like what to do when Ant’s ally, BadBoyHalo, comes walking up to him and asks if he’d like to see something cool.
He wants to say no. He is probably going to be lured into a room and spawn trapped by the Badlands until he agrees that Ant doesn’t owe anything.
Or maybe he watches too many movies.
Regardless, Bad is over a foot taller than him and hunts Dream down on the side for fun and the content. Purpled is not in a position to resist, PvP experience means jack shit right now.
So he follows Bad to the spawner and down some more stairs.
—
Alright, he’d take the spawn trapping over whatever this situation is. This is actual horror movie shit.
There’s an egg and apparently it’s the source of all the shit that’s growing on the surface right now and Purpled does not want to be this close to it. He’s seen the alien horror movies he knows that thing has bad vibes and it’s totally gonna-
...
It’s gonna make a terrifying amount of sense.
No, no no no no. No!
He is not about to get mentally and emotionally and morally dissected by a fucking egg. He wants no part in this. He doesn’t wanna be here. This is all crazy and this egg can’t do any of those things!
He doesn’t care that Badboyhalo would probably yeet him across the room. He’s struggling and trying not to hyperventilate because the air in here is fucking disgusting and he doesn’t want that shit in his lungs.
He tells Bad he hates this and that he’s weird and crazy and that the egg’s going to ruin everything and leave nothing behind.
...
Yeah, fat fucking chance of that. The egg just wants to take over everything and spread all over the place, it doesn’t actually care about any of them. Bad is being played like a fool and whatever it offered him it won’t give him.
...
It can’t give it to him. It is a fucking egg.
That’s not even what Purpled wants! No amount of wealth is gonna make him ever tolerate this mess.
...
No.
If Bad or any of the egg’s other puppets even look at Dogchamp, Purpled will TNT Machine every chunk on this goddamn server to bedrock.
L’Manberg will look like a creeper hole in comparison.
...
Bet. Think it’s a bluff, Purpled has a surplus of sand already. He just needs to cut a deal with someone for the gunpowder and he’ll be set.
...
This is getting no one anywhere. Purpled refuses to be a part of this fucking cult and the egg can’t make him.
Why not just let him go and try again elsewhere?
...
That wasn’t a challenge. It was a statement. A fact, if you would.
...
He’s not trembling, it’s just hot in here. He has no reason to be scared of an egg.
This is a waste of time and they should just all pretend it didn’t happen.
...
He’s not scared- he just-
It’s hard to breathe, how can Bad stand it? It’s so hot and humid and miserable.
It’s not hyperventilating, it’s Purpled trying to regulate his breathing.
The egg’s seeing things. This isn’t working. It’s a waste of time. They might as well just let him go.
He’s never going to bend to the will of an egg.
...
How is it not bending to it’s will if it demands obedience and compliance? Is the egg stupid? Is that why it still insists on keeping him here?
Purpled’s not going to help an egg cover the server in its gross ass vines. Not now, not ever.
...
Obsidian walls won’t make this work any better.
...
It really won’t.
...
It’s not- Are they even still there?
The egg can’t move, but Bad is definitely not here. He’d be all loud and annoying about it.
...
Purpled does not miss Bad. Not when he’s being a creepy cult member.
He’s hardly better at conversation than the egg itself. It makes no difference whether he’s left or not.
...
That’s just fucking rude. Purpled’s not even gonna humor that one.
“Does it matter if you’re gone?” What a fucking joke.
...
This is just his life now, isn’t it? Stuck in this hole because an egg’s being a stubborn loser about having a shitty pitch.
...
That pitch was absolutely shitty.
Not in any way persuasive. Purpled’s honestly surprised the egg even has Bad with how terrible its tactics are.
...
Oh haha. Asking the captive for tips on how to better indoctrinate captives. Yeah, sure!
...
That’s not even his area of expertise. All he knows is math, bedwars, and now a bunch of loopholes.
...
It wants to talk real estate? Why on God’s green earth should Purpled open himself to conversation with this thing?
...
It did work. It totally worked.
...
The egg’s approach was worse! And no Purpled will not explain why!
...
Why does the egg even want this SMP? The land’s all gone to shit anyways and it’s constantly getting wrecked.
...
It’s serious? It is 100% serious about this right now?
...
Fuck. That’s-
...
Purpled still doesn’t want a part in this. He just wants hang out with his friends and not deal with this server’s bullshit anymore.
...
That’s fair but also the egg makes people lamer. Having egg friends is worse than not having friends.
...
That’s. Well, he could do that. Have the egg and also not have friends. Have a part in taking all that land and be able to make the most of it. Be able to-
Nope, pump the breaks. Nuh uh.
...
Shouldn’t have given it that much shit about its approach then. Purpled has to concede that much at this point.
...
Even if it seems inevitable at this point, the egg shouldn’t get ahead of itself.
There’s always the chance that someone busts in right now and pulls Purpled out before he loses the rest of his sanity down here choking on humid, tainted air. That someone will notice he’s missing without having left the server and they’ll go looking.
...
Yeah, it was a weak hope.
—
It could’ve been so much worse.
But there’s still time to make it even worse.
He’s got a base no one ever checks that has sewer access. It’d be the most use he ever got out of Area 51 and it’d be hella ironic.
They can plant more vines in there or even move the egg itself in there to keep it safe. It doesn’t seem like a very good idea to have it where people with ill intent can fuck with it.
There are places on the server where no one goes or walks by. They can plant more there and let it run as wild as it pleases.
If they’re strategic about their placement, they can take over so much of the land. The people in it can be converted after.
He didn’t want to be here and on some level he probably still doesn’t.
But he’s not one to half ass things.
He didn’t want to be here and neither will anyone else they’re going to convert.
He can’t bring himself to care anymore.
The egg’s easier. As much as he hates giving up, why was he even really trying? What was worth resisting for?
He remembers, but it doesn’t seem all that worth it anymore.
Maybe it never was.

This is a supplementary post for my Rook Gets The Omnitrix AU fic. This post explains which aliens he has and why I choose them.
I love the original ten aliens and I think they’re an amazingly balanced set but for this fic, I wanted to have some underused aliens and just do something different to keep it fun without making OCs. A balanced team generally has water (Ripjaws), fire (Heatblast), energy/ electric/ tech (Upgrade), flight (Stinkfly), smart (Grey Matter), speed (XLR8), building/ versatility/ resistant (Diamondhead), Sensory (Wildmutt), and some kind of unique power (Ghostfreak). Plant manipulation, duplication, and sound are also core powers, I think. Sticking to this formula, here are the aliens I went with for this story:
1. Tidetail Wave
One of the creators confirmed that the Omnitrix has DNA of other Earth species, including the dolphin and white lab mouse. I knew I wanted to use one so I went with the dolphin. There is no canonical name for this transformation so I’m calling it Tidetail Wave.
Since this is an animal we have in real life, I wanted to keep Tidetail’s powers realistic and I’m not taking any creative liberties with this guy. Dolphins powers include swimming, echolocation, sharp vision, electroreception, mud rings/ mud nets, agility, intelligence, enhanced healing and ability to produce natural painkillers, holding their breath for a long time, and incredible speed in the water.
I originally picked Tidetail because he covers the water part of the team but he also covers sensory. Dolphins can use echolocation, meaning they can emit sound and listen to the way it bounces off objects to mentally map their surroundings, and they can also use electroreception, meaning they can sense the electrical impulses that living things give off and use them to find them if their sense of sight is restricted.
The power I was most interested in was the mud rings/ mud nets dolphins make. In shallow water, they can kick up the sand below to create these rings to trap and disorient prey. I feel like it would be pretty cool to see this in combat.
The Omnitrix usually scans the “ideal” form of a species (as shown in the second Omniverse video game) so Tidetail would be stronger than the average dolphin. Dolphins are already pretty strong and can have pretty wicked teeth designed for latching into things. They’re naturally pretty resistant, have a healing ability several times as strong as humans, and can continue on with injury which would be useful in combat.
2. Archfiend
This is another alien that has been implied to exist by Derrick J. Wyatt but has not been confirmed. We can assume Archfiend’s DNA is in the Codon Stream though and we have seen Benzarro use a version of this alien called Archfiendzarro.
This alien has enhanced strength and durability and hellfire powers but I imagine that any kind of advanced fire techniques are something this alien must learn and just has regular fire powers by default.
As you can assume, Archfiend would fill the fire slot on this set of aliens. There aren’t a lot of options when it comes to fire aliens. I decided not to go with Heatblast since I wanted to limit the number of original aliens that we see and I didn’t go for Swampfire because he seems a bit too powerful for a beginner Omnitrix wielder to have. I felt like Archfiend was different and unique so I wanted to try him. Plus, I eventually wanted Rook to visit Anur Transyl and I felt like Archfiend would be a good alien to use there.
3. Antigravitesla
Antigravitesla is one of the aliens made for the Latin American commercials but never seen in the show. Antigravitesla has control over gravity but he has trouble controlling his powers. The commercial is only a few seconds so we don’t see much of him but he seems to be very powerful, maybe too powerful for a beginner but I think the inability to control Antigravitesla’s powers balances it out. Since he cannot be easily controlled, he cannot be used as much or very well and it also presents a challenge to the Omnitrix bearer.
I wanted to take some creative liberties with this alien and give him some electrical powers as well since he is named after the man who designed the modern alternating current electricity supply system, thus allowing him to take the place of energy alien on the set. I did consider going for Upgrade or Brainstorm on this one but Antigravitesla is my favorite commercial alien and I wanted to take on the challenge of writing an alien like this.
4. Terrorsaur
Terrorsaur is one of the Tom Perkins aliens that he made for fun and was not based on anything in the show, though he did intend for this guy to be a Ben 10K alien. Terrorsaur is a flying alien with the ability to cause terrifying hallucinations. I choose him to cover Stinkfly’s flying ability and some of Ghostfreak’s spookiness.
Like with Antigravitesla’s powers, I think the hallucinations may be a bit overpowered but, the Omnitrix bearer can’t always use all of an aliens powers right off the bat. I think that at first, Rook would only be able to use Terrorsaur for flight and master the rest of Terrorsaur’s powers later on.
A lot of the Omnitrix aliens can fly but Stinkyfly is pretty much the only one good for riding. I didn’t want to use Stinkfly though and it wasn’t that difficult to settle on Terrorsaur. I really like this alien and I think his scary appearance would be fun to write.
5. Four Arms
I think we all know who Four Arms is. He’s got super strength, thick skin, and not much else which makes him an excellent beginner alien. When it comes to strength, I didn’t want to pick someone too overpowered and I also wanted to have a balance of unique and recognizable aliens. Four Arms felt like a good choice.
I did consider using an Acrosian (Fistina’s species) since supposedly the Omnitrix does have that DNA. I thought it may be funny but I already named Tidetail and I didn’t want to have too many forms without canonical names since that feels a bit like OC territory and I didn’t want to do that. I also considered Atomix or Humungasaur but I thought that would be too overpowered.
6. Juryrigg
I had a hard time settling on who to pick for the smarts category. Grey Matter and Brainstorm are probably the best choices since their intelligence covers a lot. I also was leaning towards Gutrot for awhile, even if his knowledge is mostly surrounding chemistry, before I settled on Juryrigg. Juryrigg’s intelligence is surrounding machines which I think is a good supplement to Rook’s interest in cars. He needs to be used responsibly but his powers are good in and out of combat. Plus, he’s pretty fast and he’s got claws which is a good skill to have if he ever is separated from machinery.
7. XLR8
Like with fire, there aren’t a lot of options for speed. The main options are XLR8, Fasttrack, Skidmarx, and Jetray. I love Jetray but I already had flight, water, and energy covered. Jetray may be too overpowered for a beginner. I’m not too familiar with Fasttrack and I almost went with him for that reason. I really wanted to use Skidmarx but we don’t actually know his powers and from what little we do know, I thought he might be a bit overpowered.
Like Four Arms, I think XLR8 is a good strong but simple choice. They’re also fairly recognizable and I wanted to have a few aliens who characters would recognize. Plus I really like XLR8.
8. Bloxx
I almost went with Diamondhead for this spot. Diamondhead is an amazing alien and one of my favorites. His crystal building can be used in many ways and he is very strong and durable. But, I decided to go with Bloxx which is basically just a weaker, more bendy version of Bloxx.
Bloxx gets a lot of hate and I think he was mostly used for comical reasons in Omniverse but I think he is a good beginner alien and he had potential if he is used right.
9. Kringl The Summoner
Like Terrorsaur, Kringl is one of Tom Perkin’s designs that he made after the show and is technically noncanonical. I picked this guy to fill the miscellaneous slot but his powers are kind of similar to Ditto’s. Kringl has the power to summon energy constructs that resemble elves. I imagine he also has some kind of enhanced strength or durability and some kind of ice powers like Artiguna. I also feel like he would have some kind of mental link with his energy elves. Maybe he has weak senses and he relies on them to navigate?
I’m not sure if Kringl is overpowered or underpowered but I wanted to use him. I feel like he’s a very unexpected alien who can be pretty useful.
10. Wildvine
Last but not least, Wildvine. Plant powers were not on the original squad but I think they’re a core ability. Swampfire is a bit too strong but Wildvine has a good set of powers. Plant manipulation, regeneration, stretchy limbs, digging, and seed bombs make a diverse skillset. Plus, Wildvine is a classic alien who was not part of the original set. He’s fun, he’s strong, and chances are his powers will be pretty useful on Revonnah.

Gays team up and fight a guy who used to have a good cause but became a psychopath instead of the hero they aspired to be
Bonus: One of the gays also happens to have an arm replacement while the other has some kind of a a connection to the one they are fighting (Blake and Adam + Bucky and Captain America)
Here are some of the awesome lyrics from Rwby’s song Nevermore that works just as well for Sam and Bucky as Blake and Yang
Bucky: Nevermore
Sam: Nevermore
Sam: Will I be afraid nor will I run away
Bucky: It’s behind me
Sam: Freedom is finally here
Bucky: You may have taken the lead but I’ll even the score
Sam: You won the battle you won’t win the war
Bucky: Not now and nevermore
Sam: You talked of subjugation I answered your violent plea youth and infatuation kept be to blind to see
Bucky: You think you’re someone’s hero you’re hiding more than your eyes I challenge your weak manifesto the goal of a savior is not to be lionized!
Sam: Back when it started, I thought that justice was your goal
Bucky: Then in the darkness
Sam: You lost your mind I lost my soul
Bucky: That’s in the past and I won’t be controlled!
Sam: Nevermore
Bucky: Nevermore
Sam: You’ll torture my heart and my head!
Bucky: Nevermore
Sam: Nevermore
Bucky: Will I be afraid!
Sam: Nor will I run away!
Bucky: It’s behind me
Sam: Freedom is finally here!
Bucky: You may have taken the lead but I’ll even the score
Sam: You won the battle you won’t win the war
Bucky: Not now and nevermore!
Bucky: You had me down, defeated a state that I can’t allow! It’s over, my fear’s retreated I’m more like an army now!
Sam: You offered hope, salvation gave me a place to be but your vision of liberation was all about you and it would never apply to me!
Bucky: I won’t stay a martyr it’s my turn to take back what you stole and this time I’m smarter!
Sam: I made a vow I’m not alone not dying now we’re protecting our own!
Bucky: Nevermore
Sam: Nevermore
Sam: You’ll torture my heart and my head!
Bucky: Nevermore
Sam: Nevermore
Bucky: Will I be afraid nor will I run away it’s behind me!
Sam: Freedom is finally here!
Bucky: You may have taken the lead but I’ll even the score
Sam: You won the battle but you won’t win the war
Bucky: Not now and nevermore!
Sam: There’s no cause to celebrate another soul consumed by hate and spite another destroyed life
Bucky: There’s no pleasure there’s no joy it’s just a story of a boy who lost his way
Sam: Into shadows strayed he’ll see the light of day!
Sam: Nevermore
Bucky: Nevermore
Sam: You’ll torture my heart and my head!
Bucky: Nevermore
Sam: Nevermore
Bucky: Will I be afraid!
Sam: Nor will I run away!
Bucky: It’s behind me
Sam: Freedom is finally here!
Bucky: You may have taken the lead but I’ll even the score
Sam: You won the battle you won’t win the war!
Bucky: Not now and nevermore!
At the beginning, John Walker became Captain America and neither Sam or Bucky were happy about it, but perhaps they could’ve dealt with it if he was a better person. They were both bothered by him because he took a title they didn’t think he deserved, but Sam wasn’t ready to become Captain America, and Bucky couldn’t do anything without winding up in a prison somewhere, so he was powerless in the situation as well. Eventually, John Walker saw himself as weak which led to him seeking power from the serum and he wasn’t able to control himself when his friend died, leading to him killing someone so Sam and Bucky having to work together to take him down, and take the shield back. The two of them presented an unbreakable front during the whole fight so John Walker was overpowered in the end despite having the serum inside of him. Bucky got the title of Captain America out of the wrong hands, while Sam finally took the mantle which he was previously too afraid to even consider. However, even though they finally accomplished something they wanted to for awhile, they didn’t want John Walker to become evil, and Sam probably would’ve let him remain Captain America if he turned out to be an actually good person and John Walker’s entire reputation was destroyed because of all this, making Sam becoming Captain America this way somewhat of a tragedy instead of something really worth celebrating over.
Blake was originally Adam’s lover when they were in the revolutionary/terrorist group known as the White Fang. She eventually saw that he was losing his mind, so she left him and went to Beacon as a hopes of being able to become a huntress so she could become a better person, leading to her joining Team RWBY. The school was eventually destroyed because of some villains, grimm, and even Adam and the White Fang themselves. In the process, Yang lost an arm, and became really depressed afterwards, giving up on fighting against the evil forces entirely, and sitting around at her home, while Blake went on the run as a hopes to find a way to defeat Adam and to drive out the White Fang’s forces. Eventually, Yang recovers, leading to her reuniting with her team and Blake. Later on, Adam attacks Blake, and she stops running and faces him head-on for the first time. She almost gets killed, but Yang saves her, and the two of them take him on together, which eventually leads to them having no choice but to kill him, since he would’ve killed them without s second thought if given the chance. However, this broke Blake’s heart since she once loved Adam. She then tells Yang she will not break her promise and leave her again and so far, she has kept it to the best of her ability.
