Only reason I submitted Leafeon was so I could show off this ~masterpiece~ of a plushie I own. And it's face isn't the only thing wrong with it too lol. YEAH it's super unbelievably fucked up. i think i kinda remember the circumstance being a bit dire so everyone else was more worried about either 1. protagonist getting stomped on brutally or 2. saving the world from kyurem / the bittercold. i was totally under the impression that he was dead in that moment but i guess the characters may have known that he would just come back? i seem to vaguely remember partner being surprised that he came back and being like "but we watched you die :OOO" but maybe i'm misremembering that. i do create a lot of pmd lore on my own time so i have a hard time telling the difference between canon and fanon sometimes

Cassian is slow to wake in the morning, which surprises Jyn. She usually the first one up, rising with whatever the dawn is, but Cassian will roll over, grumbling, it's not time yet, santos, mujer--

She suspects it's because he keeps spy hours, nearly nocturnal some missions. Cassian works best at night, which is almost a shame, if only because she loves to see him in the morning.

The morning light loves Cassian, pooling over the planes of his face, lending gold to the hollows of his cheeks, gilding the stubble that appears on his face after a long night, no matter how meticulously he shaves in the morning. Jyn rather likes it, likes the rough rasp of it on her cheeks. Like now, for instance.

His cheeks are rough as she scatters kisses across them, the fine, sharp lines of his cheekbones, his jaw. The place where his pulse beats, which she gives the gentlest bite. But she's not in the mood for teeth (not right now, they'll get to that later), so she moves on, to the soft place under his ear, his earlobe. The very hinge of his jaw.

She can feel him stir under her, wakefulness coming in moments, his barely heard, "Jyn?" as she continues to scatter kisses. The early morning rasp of his voice gives her all kinds of agreeable shivers.

To that end, she leans down, kisses him softly on the mouth, no more than a light press of lips as he enters the waking world fully. Then she smiles as his questioning "hmm?" becomes a satisfied "mmm...." It's exactly the leisurely kind of kiss that Jyn wants to sink into like a hot bath, and they rarely get to indulge in. One of his hands rises to tangle lazily in her hair, angling her so their noses press together more comfortably. His satisfied sound against her mouth sets off sparks in her blood.

Because they have time, at least until someone bangs on the door of their quarters, Jyn doesn't hesitate to take advantage of it. She lets her weight fall on Cassian, pressing his head back against the pillow. She manages to settles herself on top of him, careful to keep most of her weight off his trick hip, and continues to kiss him right into the mattress. This could easily end with their nightclothes scattered across the floor, but alas, they probably would get interrupted just as they get to the good stuff. So she pulls back gently, smiling as Cassian makes a faint noise of complaint as their lips part.

"Come back," he murmurs, the sleep rough drag of his voice practically a caress in and of itself. "I'm not done kissing you yet."

She makes herself resist stealing one more. That's why she's such a good thief. "We can always come back to it," she teases. "Later. When your tin can droid isn't going to knock down the door."

"Kay would only do that if he thought I was in danger," Cassian says, even as Jyn gives him an unimpressed look. "Alright, I know, it doesn't take much with him."

"No, it doesn't," Jyn agrees, and indulges them both with one more kiss to his upper lip. "But...we have that training for the new recruits to get to, after mess hall. Maybe during the dinner break? I'll find us a spot."

"I'll take you up on that," Cassian murmurs, and Jyn savors how the morning light limns his dearest, most beloved face.

season 1 summary: may 2024

i've hit 30 situations! this summary is mainly for my personal documentation (i like documenting stuff), but i thought i'd post this in the blog too just in case anyone else was interested!

STATISTICS

to the surprise of absolutely no one, whit got first place, appearing eight times throughout may 2024! however, his first place is because of a technicality, since i counted the pinned post for this season. otherwise he'd tie with second place and our recently crowned "invasive species", arei, who appeared seven times. i know i encouraged you people to let her commit crimes, but it appears i have underestimated the fandom because there's STILL people telling her to steal even MORE stuff in the inbox. third place is charles, appearing five times, three of which happened in the span of five days. bullying him (and making arei and whit bully him) is really fun though!

also, i think now is a good time to talk about how i "plan" out the situations. i try to draw at least one situation a day as a "warmup" before i draw... Other Stuff, and i try to stock up at least a week's worth of doodles, just in case i become unavailable for whatever reason. i also try my Absolute Best to ensure that everyone* appears at least twice a month, whether by picking requests wildly out of order or taking matters to my own hands through the original situations, though a bias for whit really can't be avoided...

*mai and monotv are excluded from this "rule", though i bring out monotv often when i need a casualty. take arei and whit stacking things and arei and j playing mario kart, for example!

PERSONAL FAVORITES (in chronological order)

I still consider this one of my greatest creations in my mortal life. maybe i should reblog this on main everytime i procrastinate on something. i'm sure there will be always someone who needs the encouragement

this headcanon sucker punched me on what was a normal afternoon, but i'm glad i realized it to this world... even though i barely read new stuff in the first place, let alone yuri. maybe one day i'll find something that caters to my oddly specific tastes, but for now i'll enjoy the yaoi vs yuri memes from afar and let those more qualified than me to verify how true himejoshi eden and himedanshi charles are

3) A regular "PMD Club" meeting

i am an autotroph and need to create one oddly specific self-indulgent situation per month to sustain myself and the joy i have for drawing. i promise this Will happen again. i might even outright sneak in some of my aus, out of context...!

4) Arei steals Charles' goggles

it really says a lot about me as a person that my personal favorites are mostly unserious shitposts, but i've been meaning to draw arei bullying charles with the nerd emoji since... a few months ago, i think? some of the situations are prompts i've always wanted to draw, but am too lazy to do in my "proper" style

THE POWER OF HINDSIGHT

sometimes i think of adding punchlines in the situations, or fix errors after i've put them in the queue, but forget to actually. do them.

after arei stole david's hairclips, emovid's debut would've been something along the lines of arei freeing him from his stage persona by taking away his hairclips. but i forgor.

monotv's body had the wrong colors this one time, but i have since decided that arei got paid by the real monotv to murder a bootleg / defect monotv

as i've mentioned in the tags, teruko on a llama at the machu picchu was supposed to be posted in ace yaps and levi listens' place, but i did an Oopsie and forgot to adjust the queue properly. out of the ~10 posts i had queued up that time, i got insanely lucky that the teruko doodle was the one that got delayed, since i forgot to draw her bandage. ultimate lucky student moment

also as i've mentioned in the tags, if my wii was still working i would've attempted to recreate an actual screenshot of j and arei playing mario kart wii

arei would've have had more time to steal even more things before i put her in jail, but i decided to give her a break this month. i assure you, she will return with a Vengeance.

OTHER REMARKS

i've gotten so, so used to drawing whit and arei. i haven't quite gotten the hang of everyone else yet, though i can draw xander, eden, and charles pretty consistently. hardest to draw is hu, but that's mainly because i can't draw straight hair

i kinda wanna add a subtle pattern to the background…? even just a grid would be fine. also thinking of changing the background color every now and then

i'd like to make an animation one day. it's definitely going to be a shitpost and a very unserious situation, but i'd like to make an animation one day

i expected struggling to catch up with requests, but i genuinely didn't expect about two new requests a day?? i really thought i had to pad out the days with more of my original situations, but i'm actually glad i have such a big selection of requests with a decent variety. Aside from arei's many, many crimes.

if you're still here... thank you so, so much! for reading until the end and entertaining my side project! i've never been a particularly "active" artist and tend to lurk more often than not, but seeing the same people regularly come and leave little comments in their reblogs does something to my heart that i didn't think could ever happen. even seeing new people excites me, because i think this is the smallest fandom i've ever been in? i hope i can keep this blog going…!

I know a mirrorverse AU season theme would always fall short of expectations just because people want *every* character to be a part of it and that's clearly just not how these seasonal events work, but at this point I more so don't know how to feel about the game mode itself.

I always enjoy when they get to experiment with whacky new ability ideas for existing heroes (yes I'm aware a lot of these and the april fool's changes are probably just reusing... y'know) but it feels like they didn't quite go as far as they probably could have and should have.

The mode actually replicates normal role queue Overwatch with normal maps and everything, which is honestly more than I was expecting, but what is lacking is the roster size. 3 tanks, 5 damage, 4 supports. That's it. Not unplayable, but you get bored quickly since you can't swap roles mid-game, which feels like such a weird choice for an arcade event mode. The characters chosen are weird too, since your options are the 3 who got Overwatch skins, the 5 Talon skins, Null Sector Zenyatta... and then Gwinshin Bastion and *Stealth* Echo?? Y'know, one of her default legendary skins because heroes used to have those. I mean I think Bastion is a smart use of an old cool skin that fits the theme, but that Echo is an odd choice. What's more bizarre is that not all the mirrorwatch skins that we did get are in the mode. No Hashimoto Hanzo or Kiriko (tragic I know), and no Junker Symmetra or Genji. Also no Junker D.va, which again feels like a missed opportunity to make use of another old skin. There's probably other old skins I'm not thinking of that would fit the theme, but no others are coming to mind. Maybe Monk Ramattra?

Now for the actual mirrorverse reworks, I'm mixed on them overall. My main issue is that some of the DPS have support-like abilities but no healing, and *all* the supports have changes that push them more towards damage. The tanks feel fine enough I think, and half the DPS are fine, but man I do kinda wish they went all the way and... oh i dunno... do more full reworks to swap some hero roles entirely? Like hey, Sombra feels like more of a support with her friendly hack and debuffing virus, while Widowmaker has a barrier instead of venom mine...

...hey wait a minute.

Well folks, if you wanted Role Requeue to come back then... too bad it's still not gonna, but if it's any consolation this mode... *kinda* has the same spirit. Vaguely. In a couple places.

Actually the real highlight I'll say is Bastion's ult. Not gonna say what it is, just check it yourself or look it up if someone has footage of it already. Trust me it justifies this whole event.

But yeah, it's not hard to at least entertain me with any kind of ability reworks, but this mode has some weird missed potential. The cast is tiny, there's a lot of unchanged voice lines that break the "illusion" of the mode, and the kits don't feel as cohesive as they could be and almost feel like a retread of April Fool's but with marginally higher production value. Shoot, Bastion just has his shotgun from a few weeks ago all the time in this mode. Not complaining, I endorse laziness if it leads to something enjoyable, but the mode just misses the mark in the weirdest ways. I really wish they give this event a "round 2" later on even with just a few more heroes, maybe changing some roles or other details around with the existing ones. I don't think it's awful as-is, but it has a lot more potential than other similar recent event modes.

Sometimes when people show up at the pharmacy their stuff isn't ready. Sometimes that's because it's stuck in a queue at the doctor's office. Sometimes it's because the patient forgot to call it in. Hell, once in a while it's because a tech marked it as out of stock because they were too lazy to look at the shelf.

The guy I'm about to tell you about left his doctor's office and expected the medication to be ready 7 minutes after he left. It was not.

After a bit of attitude (both from him and me) the guy finally understands that even at Subway nothing is instant because if nothing else you have to watch them make the sandwich.

Anyway, he decides the best use of his time for the 20 minutes he was told to wait is to stand 10 feet away from the counter and glare at us, as though that makes us run faster or something.

His order is filled and given to me. I call him up.

"Mr. Lord? Butt Lord? Your order is ready."

**Author's note: In case some clueless member of the federal government is reading this, that's a fake name. I now return you to your poorly-written blog post.**

Immediately after calling for Butt Lord this lady comes up to my register and gives me her name.

Me: I'll help you in a moment, Mr. Lord has already been waiting.

Random Lady: Well then why wasn't he in line?

Me: Because he's already been through the line. That's why I called him by name.

Random Lady: This is asinine. I shouldn't have to wait.

Me: You'd wait a lot less if you just stepped back and let me take care of the person who was called up.

She steps back and I take care of Butt Lord. He fucks off into the distance where hopefully he'll remain.

Now the lady comes back up and decides that being really snotty is the way to act.

"What are all your medical HCs for Melone?"

The first time I discussed Melone's potential health issues was when I listed some conditions for him in my La Squadra headcanon/drawing meme, the full version of which is here. For this post I'll include my original portrait of Melone separately since it demonstrates some of what I'll be talking about:

Originally I didn't think a lot about medical conditions, but after listening to some friends talk about potential clues to Melone having poor health (his mask hinting at eye problems, the fact that his Stand works remotely so he doesn't have to engage his targets directly, and even things like his stiff gait in the now-defunct JoJo's Pitter Patter Pop mobile game), I decided that this reading of Melone made sense, and started thinking more about it. That said, since I'm not chronically ill and have little experience with chronic illness in my everyday life, I can only talk in vague terms.

As mentioned above, I had amblyopia listed in the drawing meme, meaning one "lazy" eye that Melone might also be mostly blind in. I've seen others say that his covered eye could be an implant, which is also interesting! In the end I went with amblyopia for the aesthetic.

By comorbidities, I was thinking an autoimmune disorder and some comorbid conditions exacerbating it and causing symptoms like joint pain, chronic pain, or insomnia. My portrait shows Melone with vitiligo both as an aesthetic choice (adding even more visual interest, which makes his portrait one of my all-time favorites I've done) and as a way of reflecting this condition, and an added motive was that I just feel like these little things make a difference and might make people with vitiligo feel more seen. Basically Melone is usually in mild to moderate pain, and on his bad days, it gets progressively worse, so he takes a lot of medication and indulges in hot baths. I would also add in retrospect that I could see him having occasional seizures, which tend to land him in the ER from time to time - along with stuff like minor accidents, having alcohol too soon after taking medication, or allergy flare-ups.

Speaking of allergies, my headcanon came from talking to a friend and joking about Melone figuring out through trial and error what he can and cannot have. Lactose intolerance is definitely among those in my land, so Melone has to take his lactaid if he wants a milkshake. Other allergies that I can remember later thinking about were to gluten, possibly sea food, and maybe even stuff like latex.

I didn't go into more detail in the original draft because it sometimes makes me feel sad to think about these things (and as I am editing this, the sentiment holds true), but because of Melone's general design and Stand design, these do make sense to me and honestly, it also helps to flesh out other aspects of his character. Thinking about potential medical conditions for him led to my absolute favorite headcanon for Melone, which is him taking ER selfies of himself and with friends, so for every trip to the emergency room, he has a few photos of himself flashing a victory sign while hooked on an IV, etc. It's funny and eccentric but also heartwarming and heartbreaking in a way: he is just making the most out of his condition and he has friends to help him and make the journey feel less harrowing.

Which of your books would you recommend that I start with?

For context: I'm autistic, cis male, middle class background, mid 20s, went to university and finally finally figured out I also have ADHD and I swear if what people say about ADHD meds is true I'm going to go super saiyan in *checks waiting list* about 4 years 😭

I don't know if I'll read both as I have quite a lot of books in my queue, and I'd also like to give it to my mother to read because she works at a school and while she was always great at advocating for me (and I love her muchly & am very grateful) she refuses to concede that she is very much that kind of "parent of an autistic child, considers herself an expert (has read like 1 book by an autistic adult)" and while I am no longer a child, she is still that kind of parent.

Not only that but everyone she works with at the school considers her an expert on autistic kids (because truth be told she sort of is, at least comparatively, as I was the first diagnosed autistic kid to go through that school and it changed a lot & for the better because of the two of us - we really had to fight & stamped out a lot of that "naughty boy syndrome" old style of strict english teaching bullshit). But when I try to explain things to her like hans asperger (*ptoo*💦) or how medicalisation can function as a very limiting mode of imagining autism, she just will not take it from me.

With that chunk of info in mind (so much text, so sorry) which would you recommend for both of us?

For you, I'd recommend the audiobook of Laziness Does Not Exist first. AuDHDers and adhders in general have a much better time with the audiobook, and that book discusses a lot of traumas common to both populations.

For your mom, I'd say start with Unmasking Autism, whatever format she likes. But maybe also audiobook because I think the info comes across as more of a persuasive emotional appeal that way!

Thess vs A Lack of Consideration

So there is literally no end to the absolute bloody cheek of my colleagues.

I spent most of the day looking at the typing queue and going, "The number of items typed hasn't gone up that much but the time stamps on the earliest items in the queue haven't changed; what the fuck is going on?"

I found out what the fuck was going on when I got to a certain point in the dictation and found out that everything from about 2pm to 6pm yesterday was typed, and the only things left besides today's typing were the earlier things - and every single one of them was either very long, dictated by someone with significant issues with the dictation, or both.

And then Milady came along and took the shortest and most reasonable of those, instead of taking them in order, which would have had her doing a long-ass monstrosity by a junior doctor who repeats herself an awful lot but instead left said monstrosity to me.

I mean, the unending nerve of these people. The rules are simple - you take the damn things in the order in which they were dictated when transcribing them, unless they're urgents and/or someone has asked specifically for them.

You know the worst part about this? It's that I would be a lot less angry and frustrated if someone came up to me and just said, "You're better at this than anyone in the department and we need you on these". I mean, I'd still be annoyed, because my colleagues are supposed to be fucking professionals and you learn to do this shit, you know? But at least I'd understand it - doctors expect a certain standard, even if they don't reach it themselves, and I'm probably the only one in the department who takes the word salad that comes out of the faces of the doctors and converts it into rational sentences. So yeah, I'd be annoyed that no one else was stepping up but at least I'd understand the necessity. Thing is, thre's no necessity here. It's not even a matter of lack of ability; it's simple laziness. It's saying, "These are awful. I don't like them. I don't want to do them. I'll make [Thess] do them instead, even if [Thess] struggles with them because of disability. I don't care if [she] suffers."

I'm tired of being the only one who steps up when we're swamped. I'm tired of being the only one Scruffman asks to do fiddly shit with sending reports to patients who referred cases to us (because somehow none of our new systems seem to send those reports directly to the people who asked for them in the first place, so we get emails from these people once a month, so ... what the fuck?). I'm tired of being left with the long and complicated bullshit to the point where they'll take a four-plus hour wodge of typing from the afternoon just so they don't have to touch the long complicated stuff that's normally done in the morning. I am tired of doing every single piece of shit work in the department. And I am really tired of knowing that Scruffman will not do anything about any of it because he's conflict-avoidant, I'm not there to physically get into his face, and he doesn't care so long as the work gets done and he doesn't look like he's in over his head in a managerial role that he's not actually qualified for.

I'm just tired. I was going to go out to pick up a few things but now everything feels like way, way too much work. It's not anything I actively need, but I thought "really nice but low-effort dinner plus glorious snackies and the assault of Moonrise Towers" would be a great way to spend a Friday night. I do have an alternative option but somehow "tuna broccoli lemon pasta" isn't as motivating as, like, "bacon mozzarella burger with hash browns and salad, maybe with actual decent tomatoes".

I miss being able to just order a burger. I mean, I can, but the options are "no bun at all; just whole thing wrapped in lettuce" or "kind of crappy bun", and both are expensive as fuck. Besides, I could make a better burger in my sleep. Even deprived of A1 sauce as I am.

...That reminds me; need to make up that list to send with Mum when she goes to North America in a few weeks. She's being kind enough to bring me maple syrup, expensive as that's become, but I want A1 sauce ... and, because Baking Yesteryear, I also require Jello and Jello pudding. I've checked and they are gluten-free.

Also flu vaccine before MCM Comic Con, if it can be arranged.

Just a little 'shadow ban' update. It's been about two weeks, and I'm still waiting. Everyone keeps telling me to just make a new blog but I'm stubborn, dumb, and lazy (much like my muse). So I'm going to keep waiting it out. Most I've seen it take is a week so if things don't change by end of October, I might re-evaluate. THAT BEING SAID. Someone mentioned yesterday (very smart of them) that the reason I might not be getting as many memes sent in is because people don't get notified when I post new things. This is true, BUT. There's also a secret (ish, not really) around this. Tumblr will indeed still notify you if I post anything with your name. That being said, once you click the notification, POOF. Nothing will show up. Vanishes like magic. If you get a mysterious vanishing notif, it's probably be interacting with you in some way (unless you have another shadow banned friend). There are also two ways around it, one of which is going to be more effort. What can you do to see if you missed a reply from me? Check my blog every night. My queue ends at 5:30 PM EST, and posts 8 times a day. So if you're logging on and you really want to know, you can always look and scroll through the last day's posts. Effort, yes, but definitely doable.

And if you can't do that? The other way. Once my blog is finally out of the shadow realm, I'm going to make a post, stating to like the post if you want me to let you know what you may have missed during the lovely month of October. Fortunately I'm really great at tagging my stuff with your usernames, so it's really easy to search my blog and find all things that have been posted to each and every one of you. I want to be able to do that for you guys once the ban is lifted, and I'll send you any posts that don't have responses yet. That doesn't mean there's a rush to reply to them, and for all I know maybe you DID see them and haven't replied yet, but at least then all our bases are covered.

All that said, keep sending things. I don't want to feel like I've disappeared just because this site is being dumb. In fact, I'm about to go through and start hacking away at the 200+ meme responses I owe, so I'm definitely getting to them. 3. What is that one scene that you’ve always wanted to write but can’t be arsed to write all of the set-up and context it would need? (consider this permission to write it and/or share it anyway)

I've got this idea for a total AU - something post-apocalyptic with the planet irradiated and barely livable, along with a military-elite who are controlling all the resources. Ya know, you're typical anti-capitalist stuff narrative lol. (very Fallout meets The 100 meets The Last Of Us).

It has a Gwen Stacy who's been accidentally exposed to radiation in a way that's given her spidery powers and makes her able to fight against the nuclear weapons being used by the elite. Her father works for the upper class and she's always known they're not great, but not to the true extent. She slowly finds out that the ruling class aren't just kind of shitty but there's actually a whole conspiracy theory thing going on. MJ is a freedom fighter for the resistance group fighting against the elite and the two end up sort of working together. Queue falling in love but also MJ ends up kind of using Gwen as a tool and hiding things from her 'for the greater good'.

I can picture the scene where they fall out. The fight. The emotions. The sides taken. The hurtful words thrown about because they both care too damn much. But it would require SO MUCH to get there and idk if I'll ever write that fic. Maybe someday.

10. How would you describe your writing process?

At least with SMH it's been pretty methodical, which I think is making all the difference compared to previous WIPs. I made the outline in a haze of hyperfixation over like 3 days. Then I tweaked the outline a bit over the next week or so.

But since then, I just sit down for whatever length of time and just put one sentence in front of the other, following my outline. I've very rarely deviated from the OG outline, more adding things than making changes. As I've gotten closer to the end, I've been making more minor changes, but even still I'm following it pretty closely.

The outline was over 10k words though, so it was pretty darn detailed. Idk if that will work for future projects, but I'm going to aim for it again.

17. Do you think readers perceive your work - or you - differently to you? What do you think would surprise your readers about your writing or your motivations?

Gosh I have no idea how people perceive my stuff tbh! I hope they like it and notice all the details I put in. I've been trying especially hard to focus on not holding the reader's hand as much and trusting them to see things without it all being spelled out.

I also think, especially with SMH, that people are expecting a happier, cookie-cutter kind of ending because so much of us want that catharsis after what NWH put us through. I'm not saying SMH won't have a happy ending. It will, to an extent. Peter will end up in a better place than he was at the start. But it's not going to be all sunshine and rainbows, and not everything will be all tied up with a bow.

Especially with my writing from more recent years, I have focused less on tropes and pairings that I want to read, and more on telling a story that hasn't been told yet. That's what Under The Moonlight was, that's what SMH is, and my side WIP (temporarily titled Hopeless Devotion) is also like that. I've realized that, at my core, I'm lazy. If I can read a story already, I don't have a desire to write it myself. But if I can *feel* a story in my soul and can't find anyone else who's already written it, then I end up dragging my ass out of bed to put it on paper. Because I want to read it. You know?

This today has been quite an enjoyable today!

10:52p - murrrr!! I got sidetracked :( It is now 10:52 and the reason I got sidetracked is very exciting though, so I suppose it's not worth getting too sad face over.

Newho...TODAY WAS A GREAT DAY!! We adventured to the beach! I partook in a bit of sea bathing, head underwater, treading water deeper than I am tall. The water was beyond fathomingly comforting. I wrote in my journal! I think I'm going to type the entry here...ready? Here we go:

5:09pm, Saturday, May 20, 2023 I am at the Beach with Behb! I took pictures, maybe one day I'll actually buy photo paper & print one...maybe I'll leave space here so I can tape it in!! How many lines?

Mmm...Here seems good...so yeh! Em listening to music, actually super comfy. NGL... I am listening to the Kira Kira album by The Irresistable Force. It's a great vibe! The journal is on the pillow, that is serving as a table, propped up against my footrest for the lounge chair. The breeze is amazing. I'm texting my mother, pausing to look out across the vast gulf to my left every so often. My mom (Lady) is in NYC atm...apparently she logged her PR [runner lingo - personal record] for running in & completing a half marathon. She sent video of her engulfed in a crowd of others running through a rainstorm. I scolded her. -----------------> moving on. I am excited to be writing at the beach again! I got in the water! Did I write that already? Oh...IDC...at least now I'll remember how pleased I was with the experience of partaking in a bit of sea bathing at the Sandkey! KIRA KIRA IS COMPLETE, WHAT WILL I LISTEN TO NEXT?! OH! I got a snap! Let's Check! ----------------->05:32 05:38p - It is very hard to write & talk to people on my phone by text. But it's hard to do talking at the beach & I found an album to queue any so... We are now listening to: 5AM [song], Paradise Blown [Album], 9 Lazy 9 [Artist] --- I am glad to be pausing between messages to scribble sum synapse drops. Although it requires me to divert my attention, it is also serving as the topic for actually dropping. Plus, I cherish her dearly and I am enjoying making words with her. I want to remember to write about the email...I might switch to phone though because the wind is picking up...It is nice to adjust position & I am extremely comfortable...AND pleased with the level of ease in which it is being done. 11:15p - so yeah....that's what I wrote in the journal while I was at the beach today. I took a bunch of pictures!!! But, not only did we go to the beach today! We both got haircuts -- I am very happy with it! It's nice and short and hopefully will take 3 weeks to need another. Plus I finally used the leave-in conditioner I bought...It smells very nice!! [Product URL: Pardon My Fro] While laundry was laund'rin, we walked to food and came back 20 minutes late. It was Saturday and we lucked out no one else was there. There have definitely been more stressful laundry visits...at least the television didn't get turned on this time until we were leaving...so that was nice. Lupe Fiasco [Sentrock is nice!] made folding and packing a breeze. After laundry, we dropped back by the house unloaded, showered, and hopped back in the car. As we crossed over the bridge and left the island, heading an hour westbound for the beach...and just as we hit the red light after coming off the bridge...raindrops began bombarding Bex's windshield.

WIP Whenever

A lot has happened over the last two weeks, but I’ve had a chance to do a little writing in the last couple of days and figured I’d post a WIP for Whiskey & Tihaar.

Fynta tensed as her back pressed against the wall with Aric’s body blocking her escape. His eyes added to the chill of the wind. “How do you know Darth Nemesis?”

“How do you?” Fynta countered, jerking away from Aric’s grasp. It shouldn’t surprise her that the Jedi Order had a list of Sith Council members and its hopefuls, but the fact that Aric knew of Elenora didn’t bode well. Folding her arms, Fynta pressed her lips together and lifted a brow.

Aric’s jaw worked, his eyes searching Fynta’s face while cold tendrils surrounded her shields. He pushed, sending a spike of pain down into her neck that she hoped didn’t show on her face. Eyes narrowed, Aric straightened. Fynta took a careful breath, only just realizing how close the Cathar had leaned. “She’s a person of interest to the Order.”

This time, Fynta grabbed Aric’s arm when he started to turn. “Is she one of your marks?” There was a note of concern in Fynta’s voice that she hadn’t been able to fully hide. Aric glanced down at her, his sealed lips answer enough.

Fynta shook her head. “You don’t want to do that, Jedi. Nemesis is one of the decent ones.” Fynta stopped short of calling Elenora good for the sake of reputation. She went by that moniker for a reason, but Fynta wouldn’t let Aric complete his task. Not with Elenora.

The Cathar snorted and stepped into a stray beam of sunlight that had broken through the ceiling of cloud. “Clearly, you don’t know her that well.” Fynta jogged to catch up while Aric began ticking of Nora’s sins on his fingers. “Debaughtery, murder, sedition, betrayal...should I keep going?”

Fynta waved a hand. “Those are personality quirks.”

Aric stopped in the middle of the street, ignoring the curses of locals who scurried to their destination before the storm blew in again. “Murder is not a personality quirk.”
