A painful one-sided crush made worse.#It is bittersweet to realize that we care about someone more than they care about us. Sometime we pour love into a relationship-#-with someone who just can't reciprocate. It isn't always a conscious things either. Some people just aren't aware we care.#And painfully - so painfully - You can't make them aware. No act of kindness or gift or self sacrifice will make someone care about you.#You can martyr yourself for someone and they will continue on unchanged.#I think a lot about the parallels between WN and LWJ. Not foils - just reflections. I didn't get any of the preliminaries outside of some sneezing)#(and then it was straight to my chest. not even a sore throat first! usually I get a lot of build up and can often get ahead of a bad cough #(thankfully my nose is not congested. #spinda #AAAHHHH YES!!! our belovèd spinda. from their café!!! probably one of my favorite minor characters from pmd sky #whom i don't even think was in the original explorers games. i think spinda's café was exclusive to sky. if i'm remembering correct #ly. or maybe that was shaymin village. i know shaymin village was for sure but maybe it was just that and not both of them. either way #have a delicious drink and allow the flower of conversation to bloom! i could quote spinda all day. he had “hopes and dreams” before toby #ever did. THAT'S ALSO like i had no idea what spinda's pronouns were. i kept trying to figure it out because i talked about him quite a lot‚#but no one in game ever talked about him. to mention his pronouns? turns out. there's ONE line of dialogue where the post office fucker in #shaymin village mentions him and calls him a he. i think that's the only time spinda is referred to in the third person with a pronoun #i believe it's when they're talking about like. how you can send gifts or whatever and pick up the characters' responses at spinda's café #which is still a really fucking good feature. of any video game. SEE WHAT I MEAN spinda and their café is just an incredibly good Thing #it's to the point where my home wifi network is named “Spinda's Café Wi-Fi” because i love it so much. so if you're ever runnin around #and you see a wifi network by that name… it might be me! you never know! or… it could be the real deal. the real spinda's café is somewhere #nearby…! ugh. i wish. i would go there immediately #not even to mention all the other shit about this pokémon that's really good. like that they never walk in straight lines or whatever #their little dance. it's just. huUGHKLJKAHJVDHJHDAJSVGD i love spinda. a nice pick-me-up after the underwhelmingness that was grumpig #shake it this way… shake it that way… and stir it all around… and it's done!

one thing that's missing from these convos about amc not submitting assad zaman for a golden globes nom that makes it 10x more malicious on amc's part is that a nomination isn't just like oh... ~simple appreciation for an actor's performance. even if there's no win, it results in a profile boost for these actors & them being able to command a higher salary when it comes to future projects. it's something that gets notice on their CV. these studios and networks love being able to market their shit with things like "starring golden globe nominee john doe" or "emmy winner jane doe." the emmys are more prestigious than the golden globes which are more prestigious than the critics choice awards (the one they submitted him for with two other actors lol). actors get nominated and have the opportunity to get attention from social media posts, article mentions, attending the red carpet, having their name announced and a little clip of their acting shown. that's not nothing! attention from possible new fans, publications, execs, peers, producers, directors, fashion houses & other industries which could lead to $$$ and sponsorships. I won't make any presumptions about the cast's finances but I do know amc is probably not paying them their worth, least of all the bangladeshi muslim who barely had any major roles in tv/film prior to the show.

there are fees and costs associated with submitting for awards consideration and FYC ads. the network basically took a look at assad's brown skin and name and said they don't think he's worth the money over the white actor who had less screentime and narrative importance (to the season ig) which is absolutely crazy lmao. it shouldn't be controversial to say that and you can't not discuss this without bringing up sam's name. this has nothing to do with whether he "deserved" to be submitted (and even if I said he doesn't deserve it over assad who's gonna beat my ass?). this white man isn't being persecuted by conversations about blatant racism. but I'd expect nothing less from this fanbase x.

I honestly had so much fun making this! The moment I found out your Rabbit Sun was from an Alice in Wonderland AU, I knew I wanted to go for it. I loveeee Alice in Wonderland! That and while it's been a while since I've drawn anything anthropomorphic, your design was so interesting that I saw it as a very welcome challenge in my books!

I'm not too good at backgrounds, but I do hope it fits decently enough into your world. I wasn't sure what Sun's area would look like, so to not spoil the surprise through an ask about it, I made my own little corner and plopped everyone in. See it as a little clear pocket dimension of sorts for my disembodied voice. ^^

I really enjoyed reading all the extra tidbits about your other goobers too (I loved seeing all the art and backstory!) and it was sooo tempting to make a Hallow drawing because of how well they fit the spoooooky month. :3

Currently listening to book 1 for the first time in forever and I feel so bad for Stina

I know that I'm supposed to root for our little MC and her buddies and laugh as her and her entire class watch Stina crumble but that's also kind of sad and twisted cause that's literally what happened to Sophie?

Stina's whole entire class is out of get her and bring her down which is WILD! But like...this means during exams she gets no genuine gifts in her hat. She probably gets joke gifts like empty boxes that have trash in them or junk, I don't think she gets even Fitz's damn riddle pen and if she does it's either at the bottom of her hat and only qualifies as a half gift or she doesn't get it at all because what's the point of even hanging her hat for midterms and exams when she knows she's not going to get anything from anyone because everyone and their dog is praying on her downfall like she's some webtoon villainess except she doesn't get to be reincarnated into a world where people love her- that only happens to Sophie

Idk I just think that even if Stina's a pill she's still just a 12 year old girl and even if she's the 'evil' spawn everyone claims she is...it still had to have stung when she realized there was no point in ever hanging her hat because no one would ever gift her anything and actually mean it.

my capacity to see a bad fandom take and just blithely say 'okay! I disagree' internally and move on because it's not my responsibility or concern that someone else thinks that has leveled up so tremendously over the years. I haven't quite escaped the pit of misery yet but I think I'm getting there
