I don't remember what he was running around doing once he got out, but along the way he bumped into Lan Wangji, who is travelling with "Mo Xuanyu" investigating the demonic arm.Mo Xuanyu actually summoned Jin Zixuan using the ritual, though I don't remember if that was on purpose or if JZX was just the next best target with WWX already summoned. Because of Qin Su's letter to WWX (? They knew somehow), JZX knows that WWX is technically his sister now.

I don't remember much else apart from some minor stiff arguing on JZX end because LWJ is seducing his technical sister or something like that. He's not impressed/pleased. WWX is just as happy about being related to the peacock now. LWJ realises he is WWX-sexual. Yadda yadda.

Based on other fics I know I read around the same time, the publication/final update should be no later than 2022, but I might be wrong.

You frown, confused. “What are you talking about, Ale?”

“Stop, please” you ask depositing a hand on his chest. Ale looks back at you disappointed and somewhat sad and you sit close to him to get a better look at him.

“Are you apologizing for fulfilling your dream?” you ask him seriously. “Ale, I could never ask you to give up your dream to be with me” you continue as your hands take his delicate face.

His droopy eyes still tell you that what you said doesn't convince him. But you don't understand why he is saying that. Alejandro loves soccer, he worked very hard for soil, you would never reproach him for something like that.

“We were both busy, we drifted apart a bit but neither of us is to blame” you insist caressing his skin. “I love you from the same way I did, nothing changed between us.”

He took your hand and, instead of responding with words, he looked at you with those big, soulful eyes that said everything you needed to know. Then he kissed your hand gently as you smiled at him.

“You're perfect” he murmurs as you sit on his lap. “I don't understand how I could find you, you're one in a million” he keeps saying and makes you smile bigger.

“I'm not” you squeal laughing and lift your shoulders. He nods.

“It's you” he whispers looking at you so deep with his eyes. “It was always you”

He kisses you softly and tenderly, squinting his eyes. What's on his mind? You want to ask but he doesn't give you time. He gets down on his knees and grabs you lifting you by your legs to deposit you on his shoulder. Laughter starts to come out of your mouth but you start to worry about his ideas.

“Alejandro, no!” you warn as he begins to walk across the boat to the shore.

You can't see his face because of the position you're in but you're sure he's smiling in amusement as he plans to play with you.

“It'll be cold!” you squeal but to no avail as you feel him jump overboard and fall in a splash into the sea water.

Your bodies sink together as everything around you disappears, his hands still holding you tight as you sink and shoot back up.

As you come out you jump on top of him, splashing him with water. Alejandro groans and pushes you off again, pulling you away as he laughs loudly. You swim back to him and try to climb onto his body, sinking his head into the water while you are now the one laughing. You play for a long time like this, splashing you, running, even kissing under and out of the water. Like two lovebirds in love. Because you are.

After a while in the water, you get back in the boat. Laughing and joking, you put a blanket on the floor of the boat and sit down to rest. Yoy don't stop showing off, giving each other affection, playing.

You feel so happy next to him.

You move closer to him and kiss him, soft and gentle. So warm that your heart burns with happiness, his lips are exquisite, you are lost in his aura. His hands wrap around your waist and he pulls you closer, seeking your warmth. As you continue to kiss like there's no tomorrow. It's an innocent kiss, full of love and affection, a real one. But little by little it starts to take another turn and his lips move down your neck, kissing your skin while his hands touch your legs, belly and arms. He wants to hold you from all sides, to touch you, to kiss you. You just stand there, ready to let him do whatever he wants with you. Because of the little clothes you wear (only their bathing suits) in a matter of seconds you are naked hugging each other. You stay like that, naked. He in between your body, his head resting on your chest hugging your waist, holding you tightly as if he wanted to make sure that moment would last forever. You both remained silent as the boat continued to float, carried by the light current.

My best friend is the one who introduced me to South Park and they started out by showing me select episodes from season 4 and forward, and around the time we were at like season 10ish they informed me what like popular ships exist in the fandom. Namely Creek, Style (I had already seen Tweek x Craig, it was actually the first SP episode I ever watched lmao, and I could kinda see why Style was a thing because they're best friends with lots of moments that CAN be read as romantic), and Kyman (I could also see why it was popular lmao) but when they mentioned Bunny it surprised me. Instead of waiting to see why later in the show, the idea infested my brain and it clicked anyway.

At first it was just vibes, they seemed sweet and compatible. Let's over-articulate the "vibes" a little further; Keep in mind these are all conclusions I was able to draw about these characters pre season 14 (Pre "Coon & Friends", pre "The Poor Kid" and pre "Going Native".)

These two come from opposite ends of the family trauma spectrum; With Kenny it's neglect, with Butters it's an overly controlled/sheltered environment.

Butters is a yapper, Kenny is a patient listener.

Butters gets cut off/belittled very often for his yapping whereas Kenny isn't one to judge or dismiss.

But Butters isn't the kind of yapper who just likes to hear himself talk; he engages a LOT with whatever someone tells him, and always takes his conversation partner seriously. Kenny is rarely asked for his input, he's rarely ever even referred to directly in a room full of people, but rather just a spectator.

Based on this, I could see Butters rambling to him directly and give importance to Kenny's input and opinions, something we rarely see with anyone else. Funny that this was even confirmed to be true in season 16's "Going Native"

(idk these are just instances that kind of prove to me how Butters values & respects Kenny and his side of things, by either outright saying so or just referring to him in conversation and asking for his input that I rarely see anyone else do. This even gets driven super far in the vaccination special where Kenny is just completely and utterly patronized by his best friends & treated like their child)

So all of these things, without ever even having them seen interact, just made it make sense that these two characters were very compatible in a healthy and sweet way. They both have heavy trauma, but the ways that they cope/express themselves likely wouldn't be triggering for the other. Rather they'd kind of be good for each other to heal; Butters is the least apathetic character in the show, so he wouldn't ever make Kenny feel ignored or neglected. Kenny has seen & lived through enough shit, making him incredibly unprejudiced, he'd never even think to make fun of any of Butters' quirks he's been punished and belittled for.

As I got to the Coon & Friends trilogy and "The Poor Kid" and the whole Kenny lore bomb, something about the two of them being the most tragic characters in the show just kinda fucked my head even worse.

Picking that apart; it was kind of this underlying fact that Butters would believe Kenny about his deaths BECAUSE he's so naïve and gullible. Again, Butters would take Kenny seriously and value his input and emotions, he'd be the ideal person for Kenny to finally relieve some of the burden he's forced to carry alone. Matt and Trey are cowards for not making an episode about this like c'mon seriously it doesn't even need to be romantic

I'm not gonna get further into "Going Native" right now, mostly because the episode speaks for itself, has been probably talked about most in the fandom and kind of confirmed a lot of the things I already assumed about these characters (but if you'd like me to pick it apart feel free to send another ask), so instead I'm gonna tell you why I started going insane over them on a fandom level. Funnily enough, it was the Style-centric fic "The Scenic Route" by Hollycomb.

The coolest thing is Hollycomb actually published The Scenic Route BEFORE "Going Native" aired, and the way that they handled these characters and their relationship still fucking blows my mind. Dude, they're not even the focus of the story. They're a side story. A background ship. I'm not saying the main storyline isn't entertaining lmao but the Bunny background storyline was probably just so much more my taste I think? Especially how imperfect and messed up it started out, continued and went on. It implemented the canon fact that Kenny did kind of just not care about Butters and how his fucked up parents treat him, just like the rest of the town. Like Kenny is kind and all, but he can also be very apathetic and indifferent, and there's lots of instances in canon where the other boys treat Butters like crap and Kenny just watches it happen.

(Episodes: "Good Times With Weapons", "Marjorine", "Cartman Sucks", "Butters' Bottom Bitch" and "The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs")

The way Hollycomb wrote how Kenny slowly started caring and falling in love with Butters even though he initially just intended to use him for venting about his own problems just stuck with me so hard. Like yes. That makes so much fucking sense. Kenny needs someone to take him seriously, and he doesn't need that person to be someone he cares about. He picks the easiest person available. But the slow realization that he's started pitying, then caring, and then deeply loving and wanting to help and save this person? That shit hit the SPOT.

Anyways, what I'm saying is that this fanfic was the reason I started thinking about possible ways they could get together and stay together, a lot of them messy and tragic and every bit wholesome as it is entertaining and fucked up. Kenny and Butters' traumatized asses finding comfort in each other is just something that became so special to me. I started out reading & writing Style, but whenever I tried to craft my own fics I'd always be thinking so much about what Kenny & Butters were doing and what their story is until I thought "damn dude why aren't you just writing about them instead". and thus I fell down the rabbit hole. enter chaos plan lol

This is such a tiny part of why I love these characters and why both of them separate AND their dynamic is incredibly comforting and interesting to me, and I haven't even mentioned anything about the many foil/parallel narratives around these two; Kenny & Butters as Kenny's replacement. Mysterion & Chaos. Princess Kenny & Paladin Butters. Philanthropist Dr. McCormick & capitalist scammer Vic Chaos. Especially the last one what the fuck I could write my bachelor thesis on Post Covid Bunny.

A/n: this is just a little something, a domestic moment after the bombastic news, Y/n trying to be there for her man. I was so sad for Carlos, I think this is the cuntiest Ferrari move ever, it's sure to make things unconfortable this season. It's not something particulartly big or elaborate, because I wasn't sure what you wanted, but I hope you like.

“Amore,” the Spaniard is surprised to hear the soft voice calling him, blocking his cell phone screen and placing it on the coffee table, turning to his girlfriend standing in the doorway.

Y/n arrived in Madrid three hours after the news was posted and a fifteen-minute call with her boyfriend left her heartbroken. She was lucky to have an extensive network and such a competent PA who managed to get her on a flight back home in record time—even if that meant she had to travel coach from Milan.

“Carinõ, what are you doing here?" The man got up and approached his girlfriend, kissing her lightly before pulling away to look at her, “I thought you weren't coming back from Milan until tomorrow."

“Aren't you happy to see me?" She tilts her head slightly and wrinkles her nose in the way she knows Carlos finds her irresistibly adorable.

“I'm always happy to see you." The words are genuine, but the smile is forced.

“I told the girls that my extremely hot and talented boyfriend needed me more than they did." Y/n wraps her arms around the older man's muscular neck.

“Not so talented apparently…” The woman's smile disappears when she sees his crestfallen expression and deprecatory tone when talking about himself. “They warned me ten minutes before the announcement went up.”

Y/n took her boyfriend's face in her hand, forcing him to look at her. Determination evident in her eyes.

“Carlos, bebé, you are amazing, never think otherwise, you are no less than Charles," she says seriously, “it's their loss, go after what you want my love, any team would be lucky to have you, Ferrari you've only been building tractors for years, you did your best, Hamilton will have the most disappointing end to his career there, and half the experts doubt that Charles will win the title racing for Ferrari."

“I'm going to be without a team in 2025..." the Spaniard says, moving away from his girlfriend, towards the large couch they choose together months before—his house was a true bachelor pad before she moved in, and it took some effort and gentle persuasion for her to convince her very headstrong man to allow her to change around.

Sitting on the huge, velvety blue sofa, with his arms crossed and beaked, his head thrown on the back and his eyes closed, he would look downright pathetic if he weren't so handsome—and if she didn’t love him so much.

At least for today, she wants to make him feel better, tomorrow and beyond, they take it one day at a time. Y/n sighs. She hates when Carlos is hard on himself, especially over a situation he has little to no control.

She takes off her own dress, leaving it pooling down the living room floor, in only a white lace G-string she sits on the man's lap, uncrossing his arms and placing his big hands on her ass. wtf... persona 3 marching band AU???

Okay. Background.

Last month I had to fly across the country for marching band. We had a two day trip where we flew to the opposite side of the country on a 5 hour flight and then immediately had to perform and play for a football game. The very next morning we had to fly back home on another 5 hour flight. All in all. It was 46 hours. Call time was 3:30 am so I had to wake up at 2 am the day of. I could not sleep on the plane and due to Issues with the rooming situation, I elected to sleep curled up in a wooden chair. I did not sleep for more than 15 minutes at a time that night. I also could not sleep on the plane ride back. On the way back, I was so exhausted and sleep deprived, I was insanely nauseous and so, so dehydrated. I had a pounding headache that wouldn't go away and I kind of hated literally everything.

Do you guys know that specific genre of fanart where people draw their favorite characters working like shitty minimum wage jobs as a way of coping with their own shitty minimum wage jobs? Yeah. Same idea here. I came up with marching band headcanons for p3-5 characters and it was comforting to be quite honest. It also filled up the time on that flight. Now that the season is over, I'm getting like marching band withdrawal so I wanted to draw out some of these headcanons. I put way too much thought into these, but here are the headcanons for the p3 crew lmao:

Minato - Pit, Bass Guitar: I figured he wouldn't really be a big fan of marching but would still want to play music so pit seemed like a good fit. Bass guitar specifically was just based off of Vibes.

Kotone - Trumpet Section Leader: Maybe it's because she's the MC but idk, trumpet just seemed to fit and I felt like she'd be section leader on top of that.

Yukari - Piccolo: Okay. This one PAINED me because irl I hate the piccolo section at my school. They're so annoying and so impressively united in being consistently and confidently WRONG. But I have to admit, Yukari unfortunately has piccolo energy. She's still my fave idc.

Junpei - Trombone: He just had to be low brass, c'mon. He's definitely also the kind of guy to call himself a "boner."

Akihiko - Color Guard Section Leader: My first inclination was trumpet. However, I remembered a guy in color guard at my school who's very much a gym bro and takes guard WAY too seriously. Yeah. That made me assign Akihiko to color guard. Probably played trumpet in middle school though.

Mitsuru - Drum Major, formerly Alto Saxophone: She obviously had to be drum major, no question about it. Idk why really I decided on alto saxophone though, I just felt that she wouldn't be a brass player and sax fit the best outside of that.

Fuuka - Pit, Vibraphone: Same reasoning as Minato but I feel like she'd fw vibraphone specifically idk why. Lowkey this one is also vaguely based off the personality of someone in my school's marching band.

Aigis - Mellophone: I feel like she'd be a brass player but definitely not low brass and also not trumpet. Hence, the mellophone. It also did occur to me that maybe playing a reed instrument as a robot that like probably doesn't have salivary glands would be ummm, difficult to say the least.

Ken - Percussion: Okay so, he's not in high school so he would be in like concert band for middle school instead. He seems like he'd gravitate towards percussion but like he would actually take it seriously as opposed to the average middle school percussionist who just screws around in the back of the band room while the director talks to the wind section. If he were in high school, center snare.

Shinjiro - Baritone: Had to be low brass. I also considered sousaphone, but baritone I felt was a better choice. I feel like he probably only did band in middle school because Akihiko decided to do it and then Akihiko switched to guard in high school but Shinjiro just figured "I already play this fuckass euphonium, might as well march with the baritone."

Ryoji - Trumpet or Pit, Drum Set: I figured he would join whatever section the MC was in, hence the two different choices here.

Chidori - Clarinet: Just pretend she's also in high school. Umm anyways, definitely a woodwind player but piccolo/flute and sax just didn't fit. As someone who plays the clarinet, just trust me on this one.

Umm anyways, I might draw more of these for p4 and p5, but we'll see. I'm cringe, but I'm free <3

So even though he's been through this before, that doesn't mean that meeting you is any easier

And the deja vu is crazy when he realizes that he can't read your thoughts either

Even though he tries his best to stay away from you, he knows he can't

He accepts it easier this time

And after all of his practice with Bella, he is much less of a danger to you

He is pretty frustrated though

She needs a second to lie down

Unlike the wolves, your power only affects you when you're human

She is exasperated though

Not only did she not foresee you entering her life because of your ability, but she also can't see any of your future

You tripped and fell once and she didn't know that it was going to happen and she was so upset

But as far as you being a singer for her, she's not too bothered

She has pretty good self control so she's able to be around you with little to no difficulty

When she does eventually turn you though you're gonna need to turn off your ability cause she is over it rn

Jasper:

It's a bit touchy for a while

Alice foresaw your arrival and warned Jasper so that he could be prepared

That still didn't properly prepare him for how good you would smell

It takes him a while to not want to kill you

And you have to be super careful not to bleed at all around him

As far as your ability, he has never once met someone who was immune to him

Even Bella's shield was susceptible to him

Carlisle guessed that yours is more of a physical shield than a mental one

Either way he finds it so odd

And a little bit of an inconvenience

But he doesn't use his ability too often on people he knows so it's not that big of a deal

His main concern is not killing you

Rosalie:

Her and Emmett have traveled a lot

So chances are she has probably met a singer before

Only in the past she just flees as fast as she can

Not because she's worried she'll kill them, but mostly just because she doesn't want to deal with that

She loves the way you smell, even if she can't have it

And yes she does have a bit of a crisis when she starts to fall in love with you because she thought Carlisle was the only one for her

And because he has had so long to wear down his senses and control them better

There was one instance, though, where you scraped your knee and he had to excuse himself from the room

He felt so bad and apologized profusely afterwards

It takes him a while to recover from that

I mean, that's the first time he's really felt such a strong desire to drink human blood in over 300 years

But he gets acclimated to the smell of you after a while so he's okay

She knew only the surface level of the impact that she used to have on Edward

She watched him struggle, but she never knew how bad it was

Still being so young, her first instinct was to pounce on you in the school hallway

But with Edward and Carlisle's help she was able to control herself

She still struggles a bit, but she's getting better every day

As for your ability, she is frustrated

Now she understands why Edward was so upset about not being able to read her mind

As a human your ability is very sporadic

Predictions for Buddy's Real Name

Hello Cinderella Boy enjoyers, how are we doing? Sobbing? Suffering? I can only imagine what emotional turmoil the fast passers may be experiencing right now. Well, to get our minds off of the impending Season One finale, I've decided to try and predict what Buddy's "real" name is.

(PS. You don't have to take this too seriously; I just needed some way to cope after the penultimate episode.)

(P.P.S This post is a pretty long read, so just stay with me on this, or continue on with your scrolling :))

First, I took some observations as to how Punko names her protagonists and compiled the following notes:

Punko has yet to name a main character anything starting with a vowel.

Punko's MCs have had names starting with either a stop/plosive or a fricative.

All of these names have had English, Latin, or Greek origins.

I also am taking the following assumptions into consideration when sifting through potential names:

I'm going to assume Punko will keep in line with all previous observations.

I believe Punko takes a bit of consideration of the meaning behind her characters. Deacon is the most obvious example, because he's like a friend and whatever and second in command to Chase. Prunella means "little plum", and yeah, I can see that. She is smol, and her temperament is... tart like a plum? But also sweet, like a plum? (I've never had a plum, I'm assuming this is what they're like).

I think her name choices skew towards a slightly older generation. Chase being an exception, but with names like "Frankie" and "Prunella" more commonly being given to children in the Victorian Era, apparently. Either way, I'll focus on slightly older names, like 90's and back probably.

I will be keeping a heavy focus on names that begin with the letter 'B' because the title of the series is "Cinderella" (Chase) "Boy" (Buddy/B-alternate name) and I personally think that would be cool.

Last thing is I'm gonna add names of Greek and French origin to the roster because I feel insane. My sources for searching mainly boil down to behindthename.com and the 2012 edition of this baby name book of 100,000+ baby names. That being said:

List of Potential Buddy Names

1. Beau

This is my personal favorite, which is why I'm listing it first, but I do have a few valid reasons for adding it here.

It means "handsome" in French

It plays into the "storybook/romance" angle of the series

Begins with the letter 'B'

Has been a relatively popular name since the 70s

2. Theodore

Kind of a weird 2nd pick, maybe, but hear me out.

Comes from Greek meaning "gift of God"

Could reflect that one theory that Buddy is not actually a human, but rather some creation that Ex Libris made

Was popular in 1915 and 2025, which is kind of silly

3. Vincent

Sounds regal enough, lol

Latin origin

Means "to conquor", so maybe he's gotta win something (like his freedom??)

peaked in the mid-60s and 90s

4. Connor

I have a friend named this, so it'd be really funny on Punko's part to name Buddy this

has like two roots meaning "desire" and "wolf"

he desires freedom, and is treated like a dog (they give him ZERO chocolate in Ex Libris)

of Irish origin, but idk, I still like it

5. Hunter

Okay this one has a single thing in it's favor criteria-wise (is of English origin), but this would be very cool considering Chase's name. Chase? and Hunter? Chase the Hunter? Hunt the Chase? Absolute power couple stuff here. Ship name could but C**ter---nevermind that censoring is actually worse

(maybe? comment down what the appropriate ship name for two characters names "Chase" and "Hunter"in case this is actually this poor man's name)

6. Victor

Some goober in the Webtoon comments section, like a year ago claims that Punko said this was gonna be Buddy's name in a Twitch stream, so maybe dawg?

Latin origin; also has to do with winning and victory of his rights or smthn

within the top 250 of baby names for Americans

V sounds like B when you think about it

7. Grayson

Will Grayson, Will Grayson? More like Will Gayson, Will Gayson. /j

means "son of the grey-haired one"

would be an *incredibly* emotional scene if Chase asks for Buddy's name in some display of trust or frustration and Buddy has to confess that he's never had one

And yeah, those are all the options I'd be willing to place money on. However, I do have more names compiled from Webtoon's comments, my friends' suggestions and some wild guesses that I am placing below for funsies, with my favorites highlighted:

Angst mpreg aaaaaaaand pregnant buck series!!??!! 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀 ooooooooh I’m also sat!

angst mpreg is the fic where Buck goes into labor, gives birth to healthy baby girl, but then he has complications and he's in coma. Tommy has to take care of the Sky by himslef (and with 118 fam help ofc ) and go over the fear to lose Buck. He tries to cope by telling the Sky their love story mostly about pregnancy but not only. So it's a fic where present mixed with flashbacks

“Hey, sweetheart, it’s your godfather Eddie,” Eddie smiles, looking into the baby blue eyes. He knows they will get only darker and brighter like her daddies’. He is just interested if her eyes will be like Buck’s electric blue, or Tommy’s intense steel blue. 

Buck once gave him a long lecture about how he and his husband had different blue eyes and his daughter better take as much from him as she could because he's the one pregnant and he would ground her if she’s Tommy’s mini copy.

And will never punish you for something that just can't be your fault. He loves you anyway. The way you are. He strokes little round cheek, leaving a light kiss there, trying hard not to cry. He should be stronger for his friends, for Tommy, for Sky, for Buck. He should be the rock of the family right now. Because Tommy, Sky and Buck need him. Buck was protector of him and Chris for a lot of time, it’s Eddie’s time to be protector of Buck’s family. Be the best godfather ever possible. 

“I know we should have met not like that,” Eddie whispers through a lump in the throat, “your daddy and papa should have introduced you to me officially, letting me hold you after they will take you together from the hospital. But, unfortunately, your daddy's dumb luck struck again, but,” Eddie lets the most beautiful baby girl clutch his finger in a firm grip. He grins at this, kissing her hand like a true princess, “your daddy is a fighter. The strongest man I know. He will fight the hell to get back to you and your papa. OK SO HUGE SPIDERVERSE 2 SPOILERS HERE i wanna discuss what themes i was picking up on and that i'm the most excited to see resolved

obviously theres FAMILY and PARENTING but i'm more interested in the themes presented with how The Spot developed and ALSO how that relates to miguel's whole situation

there is one main thing i wanna talk about tho:

inflexibility/the justification of cruelty

To me this is the core of the conflict behind both what happened with The Spot (my beloved) and whats going on with Miguel & the other spider-people's adherence to maintaining the status quo of their shitty shitty lives.

the inflexibility/justification of cruelty is obvious with miguel, it's like his whole thing. but I think it's less obvious with Miles. Miles cracks jokes to cope like a lot of spiders do, but his mockery of The Spot made things WAY worse. Like, here's this guy who tells you a harrowing story of how his life got ruined, and yea it's not entirely your fault but it's also not completely unrelated to you. He's completely alone, no one will hire him, he's a freak! And to top it all off, you won't even let him steal some money so that he can fucking live! whats he supposed to eat, miles?????? where's he supposed to LIVE.

and yea that's a lot to drop on a 15 year old but he's also a superhero (the age of which most people don't know) and the LEAST he could do, the BARE minimum imo, is take this guys pain seriously. even if he does look funny or weird, and he's not a huge threat at the moment.

I think we were supposed to relate to miles while he was fighting The Spot a the start, we saw the meeting with his parents and how bad he needed/wanted to just get the fight over with to stop disappointing them. But if you think about it from the spots perspective the whole thing wasn't just humiliating and frustrating- it cemented in his mind that spider-man was an uncaring and cruel person who didn't give a shit about him as long as he didn't disrupt the status quo of normal people or whatever.

but who cares, right? Miles does that all the time. that's just how things are, right? there's no need to change how he thinks about the lives of the people he fights so long as it doesn't affect him personally :/

And that's kind of what miguel does too. he's just more aware and active about it. he does things he'd rather not do, makes sure people suffer the way he thinks they have to because that's just how things are.

and both of those are probably not actually necessary! it's needlessly cruel to force spider-people to lose the ones they love, and it's needlessly cruel to mock and belittle a man who's had his life ruined to the point he needs to turn to crime just to survive.

I can't prove it yet cause the next movie hasn't come out yet, but I feel like it would be a bad idea for The Spot to die, I can accept him dying but only if they acknowledge that this isn't entirely just because The Spot is like, idk, evil or something. I want them to acknowledge the cruelty and pain that lead to this.

The same way it wouldn't make sense for Miles to end up agreeing with Miguel, it just doesn't match with the themes they've set up so far. Miguel is clearly coded to be in the wrong about what he thinks has to happen, and I suspect there's an aspect of his story/history that we aren't aware of. I can't say how or why but I think he's wrong about why the universe he went to fell apart (maybe he knows that, maybe not?) but I guess we'll have to see.

How do the companions react to knak!reader having the knowledge of an adult? Like yeah they're new of this world so that doesn't help their current kid status, but talking to them they probably seen how smart they actually are, or do they just believe they're a kid that tries to act older than they actually are to get taken seriously?

Speaking of him, i like to think he also cuts the readers hair as well as mending their clothes (as previously mentioned). Nothing too fancy but more practical and that it's still cute. Y'know something easy to style that allows them to go with their day not worrying about it.

So for the adult knowledge bit, everyone just kinda assumes you were forced to grow up quicker than a kid should. Exposed to things a kid shouldn't be due to shitty parents or divines have mercy *no* parents. It's something that makes them all sad in a way. Aside Lae'zel who didn't really get to be a kid either so she thinks it's normal of sorts.

It's why when knak reader mentions being from another world or tries to say they are, they are looked at sadly and a few will agree out of pity. It's clearly how you cope and how you comfort yourself. This is unlike adult reader in the similar situation who is just written off as crazy for a long time.

Astarion is the very very proud uncle bordering mom. Not only are you sassy and oh so vicious with your words; but you also do it oh so sweetly. Which just makes it worse on your victims. So ofcourse he takes it upon himself to make sure you take care of your appearance.

He cuts you're hair, mends your clothing but he also makes some clothing for you. Well he's working on it, it's far more time consuming then he expected... always the one who reminds you to bathe and anytime they are intown makes sure you get the *good soaps*.

Karlach is nervous about piggy back rides because she doesn't want to burn reader. But the times she does allow it is the best because she will run around and jump so it's a fun ride. This has back fired in the form of you taking a branch to the face that both of you didn't notice until it was too late.

Durge spoils reader. Piggyback rides, gifts, and just anything you want. Make him a flower crown and he will wear it proudly even after it wilts.

As for an antidote or cure there is none. Reader will just have to grow up the natural way.

re: my recent jekyll and hyde posts

everything makes so much more sense in the book if you assume that jekyll's crisis started being visible to his friends when he hit 40 and quit his promising career as a professor of law

1. why lanyon hates him so much. its not that jekyll was researching magic per se, its that jekyll made a huge change out of nowhere into a field jekyll knows basically nothing about and started claiming he's an expert in it. to hastie, that looks like quackery

2. jekyll is a fellow of the royal society, which means he's done "great things for the world of science and mathematics". considering he was a lawyer up until age 40, the idea that he's bribed his way in (and that straining his relationship with lanyon further) makes a lot of sense

3. why utterson clings to the protege idea for hyde. jekyll, being still very new to that field and kinda out of his league, taking on an apprentice (probably a uni student or recent grad) to help actually run things makes a LOT of sense

4. jekyll writing his own will, and the things he says when utterson complains again. jekyll knows he's done a lot of weird shit. he also knows civil law like a mfer and knows he has utterson by the balls on this one. but this really explains why he's like "i know this is just the icing on the cake of weird shit i've forced you to endure. sorry :/"

5. jekyll living in that shitty neighborhood. he saw some doctor died and medicine (especially being a famous doctor) is a special interest of his, so he bought that lab and WILL NOT LEAVE IT. HIS LAB

6. hyde going in and pointing out loopholes in biblical passages. that's what he was doing, right? writing blasphemies? he was bored and saw a buncha laws written out and figured he'd do what jekyll used to do - case review

7. why jekyll's notes on the experiments SUCK. once its in writing, you're fucked, legally. also why he won't admit to any real crimes in the confession other than the already-solved case

8. him insisting on putting MD before DCL or any other title. that's the one he wants to highlight. please believe he's a real pharm-dawg. please take his medicine seriously

Idk if this is beating a dead horse but...?? This is genuinely not how DID works and I *know* every system is different, but you CANNOT integrate to this level without being in a safe place, and with Salem constantly posting about how he's in distress and not doing well, this would /not/ be possible.

Integration to a near singular level is done through integration therapy, it is INCREDIBLY hard to achieve without help. Especially if you are STILL DEALING WITH TRAUMA AND DONT HAVE HELP.

Nowhere does salem say hes getting help. In fact its the contrary. Salem is constantly crying about online harrassment, self harming through obsessing over internet drama, never actually engaging with the outside world in a meaningful way. As much as he preaches positivity and healing he doesnt apply it to himself.

And that would worsen DID if he has it. So either hes lying about his disorder or fundamentally doesnt understand it, which then he shouldn't even be self diagnosing DID when he not only doesn't know how it works but he also clearly lacks the self awareness to do so.

Not to drag syscourse into this but i seriously think his engagement in the endogenic community has damaged any understanding he has of DID. Your alters dont suddenly all integrate with you because things got slightly better. That takes YEARS of intensive work, and if he's going to claim that's why he's reverting to his tendancies he had as puppychan he's just trying to make excuses for himself, because fusion doesn't make you suddenly act as another alter did. You still exist as yourself and if you've learned anything you aren't going to suddenly fall into their bad habits. You had to do work to get to that place of healing. You may struggle with their urges, have tendancies of their habits, but you dont fucking just become them this isnt some steven universe bullshit its the healing of amnesia barriers and identity fragmentation. You would be acting fucking different for god's sake if your alters were as complex as you try to make them seem, but its hard to even believe they're anything but roleplay characters when you potray them as such.

I'm just. Pissed off as someone who is literally getting diagnosed with DID. I don't doubt that salem could have developed it with their claims of supposedly being in a christian cult as a child, it really just takes repetative overwhelming stress and a lack of help or coping skills for a childs mind to resort to complex dissociation, it doesnt take torture or severe abuse (though, those are the most frequent cases that lead to DID along with csa – it is much rarer for less severe cases to develop into DID but it Happens, often because of a lack of a support structure)

kinda obsessed with citlali... minus all the weird waifu bait bullshit with the traveller she's so incredibly tragic as a character. living so long that she'd rather have people fear her than make real connections that will be lost when they die and she lives on? thats so sad. she kinda gives me furina vibes tbh, the way she's really so alone. not to mention her actually having substance abuse problems, which, like most characters with actual drinking problems in genshin is played almost completely as a joke, but her version is way more.... extreme than say, venti or rosaria? her saying she's mastered the art of moderation hits hard to me, its a common form of lying to yourself as an addict that i'm uncomfortably familiar with. alcoholism is unfortunately often seen as a punchline addiction, and if genshin was a better game citlali's dependence on it would be explored more tactfully. is it somehing she uses to cope with the fact that she's afraid to make meaningful connections? or that she's pushed away anyone that might actually form one with her? hell, is she just BORED with life and needs something that 'takes the edge off'?

also, the way the traveller deliberately thinks about her insecurities (like having a messy house, or sleeping a lot) when they know she can hear them is kinda cruel as well? i know the traveller Can Do No Wrong but citlali is portrayed as very obviously insecure, despite the persona she projects, and i interpreted these moments as the traveller thinking these things in order to needle her. imo, especially since what the traveller says/thinks so rarely matters in the grand scheme of things, it's once again a throwaway joke, akin to something paimon might do for fun (and be admonished for). the way the traveller interacts with citlali highlights a lot of failings in their writing .

idk maybe i'm looking for better writing in the natlan story and characters, like that which was showcased in sumeru and fontaine, but seriously. mavuika is basically a cardboard cutout of a character with an extremely generic personality and motivation, hardly any complexity. other characters are flat stereotypes that border on offensive, generically "nice", or "evil" characters that aren't actually bad, just misunderstood,and they like the traveller of course.

citlali feels like she has some complexity because she actually has legitimate problems, like a quick temper and actually being quite violent?? her alcoholism, sleeping in, messy house, like girl has a case of MDD that's overlooked bc ipeople are afraid of her. the biggest flaw in her writing once again comes down to the traveller's personality center of gravity, the way she HAS to like them and think they're special and treat them different. goddamn have her beat the traveller up for thinking mean things about her or for assuming they have a "thing" bc the traveller has to charm and seduce every character they meet, especially the inaccessible ones.
