I'm actually pretty angry that Shin-yu's parents are going to stick together and that they are having another child. Jang Se-hun is still a shitty father and husband. I don't care if he's slightly nicer to his wife after reading years worth of his verbal abuse to her. His mother should have gotten together with his friend, it would have been hilarious and far more satisfying than a half-baked marriage repair.
(Though nice that Hong-jo and Shin-yu can have fun before having a kid)

Sometimes, life doesn’t go according to plan. Sometimes, it rains and you have to wear a cloak over the pretty dress you wanted to wear that day. Sometimes, you get a terrible headache and have to go to bed early. Sometimes, for political reasons, you have to put duty before heart matters.
One is the heir to the throne, the future king…and the other one is the king of your heart.
Your father had forged this arrangement with Odin in secret, with hopes of uniting realms. Though such alliances through marriage were nothing new, neither you nor Thor had been consulted beforehand. You were quick to voice your displeasure to your respective parents, but they didn’t care. You and Thor were going to marry.
Your future husband didn’t care too much. Duty was duty.
Loki, however, had a different perspective. When the news of the marriage got to his ears, he was furious.
He didn’t show up to the marriage, which was expected and better that way. No one wants to see the person they love marrying another.
After the ceremony, you snuck out of Thor’s quarters and ventured to Loki’s. You were mindful of the guards all around the palace, knowing that if you were seen there would be consequences.
You knocked on his door, your fist delicate against the thick wood. You could hear some shuffling, followed by footsteps coming to the door. He was out of his day clothes and wearing a dark green soft, silk shirt and lounge pants.
The corner of his mouth curled into a smirk when he saw you in your delicate robe and hair undone, cascading down your back in loose waves caused by your wedding hairstyle. ‘’What do we have here? The future queen of Asgard sneaking from her dear husband’s bed on her wedding night. Marital troubles already?’’
You fought the envy to roll your eyes at his remark. ‘’I braved the guards to see you, don’t leaving me standing in the corridor.’’
Loki stepped aside and you walked in, closing the door behind you. Inside, everything looked the same as it always did; the bed was perfectly made, the thick curtains were shut and shielding the room from the glow of the moon, and the desk was stacked with parchment papers and bits of used charcoal.
‘’Don’t you have better things to do than clandestinely visit your dear husband’s brother in the middle of the night?’’ Loki's voice was laced with a bitter edge as he spoke, his back turned to you as he walked back to the velvet green couch he was sitting on before you interrupted his reading.
You couldn't help but respond with a touch of sarcasm, trying to break through the tension that hung in the room. ‘’Like listening to Thor’s snores that could make a trumpet sound quiet?’’
You walked over to the couch and took a seat beside him with your back against the cushioned armrest. It wasn’t very lady-like to sit with your feet on the couch, but no one was there to scold you. The red silk of your robe contrasted with the jewel tone of the couch, a silent reminder that you shouldn’t be there. Red was Thor’s color.
‘’How was the bedding ceremony?’’ The prince set the book he was reading on the table, his head turned from you to hide how he truly felt about the thought of you and Thor having sex.
Shifting uncomfortably, you casted your eyes down. ‘’Can we not talk about that—’’
Loki ghosted his hand slowly up your ankle, shin, then stopped right below your knee. ‘’Does he touch you like I do?’’
The answer was easy.
You wouldn’t call Thor selfish, but when it came to sex, his performances weren’t what you would expect from a god. The rumors were true, even a good dick doesn’t guarantee you good sex. No foreplay or any kind of fun, just plain old missionary…for five minutes. The liters of Asgardian Ale he had drank during the wedding celebration were possible to blame for that terrible experience. Hopefully it won’t always be like that.
With Loki, sex was completely different. He knew your body like the back of his hand, the exact ways that had your back aching and screaming. And there was a connection that just wasn't there with Thor.
You shook your head.
Loki laughed, genuinely amused from hearing of his brother's incompetence. ‘’You have no idea how hilarious it is. Thor, the mighty God of Thunder and heir to the throne, failed to satisfy his wife on his wedding night.’’
‘’I knew it would amuse you. Knowing there’s something you’re more skilled at than him.’’
A sly smirk played on the prince’s lips, flattered by your compliment. ‘’Tell me more.’’
‘’Don’t be greedy.’’ Your eyes longed on him, how beautiful he looked in the glow of the lamp.
‘’Me?’’ Loki leaned back on the couch, his eyes gleaming mischievously in the dim light. ‘’The only thing I’m greedy for is sitting right in front of me and wearing a color that’s far too overpowering for her complexion.’’
His words only strengthened your guilt for taking the hand of a man you didn't love. It was killing you inside to know you'll never get to hold Loki's hand arm in the gardens or kiss him in front of the inhabitants of Asgard.
Turning a blind eye to your new marital status, you let your fingers glide down along the lapel of your robe, and traced teasingly the seam of your belt-tie. ‘’Shall I take it off?’’ you said in a near whisper.
‘’And what of your new husband?’’
‘’He’s sleeping until morning.’’ You pulled at the belt-tie and undid the knot, letting the silk slowly fall and expose your breasts.
A silent growl caught in Loki's throat. He's mouthed and worshiped those so many times, yet he was still in awe every time you undressed.
Without withdrawing his eyes from you, he made the robe vanish with a snap of his fingers, leaving you completely bare on his emerald green couch. ‘’Green looks better on you.’’ He delicately grabbed your ankles, and spread your legs before crawling between them.
A sigh left your lips when he kissed the insides of your thighs, giving attention to what had been neglected in Thor’s quarters. Loki was right, no man touched you like he did. He looked up at you as he kissed higher and higher on your skin, making the situation more sensual. You bit down your lip when he
placed a loving kiss against your sensitive clit, and grip his dark curls as his tongue swirled and suckled your sensitive bud.
‘’Ahh, Loki!’’
His name was the only one on your tongue, echoing through the wall of his bed chamber and down the corridor.

D e s t i n e d w i t h y o u ; SPOILERS
I just finished watching Destined with you and AHHH <3
Plot: 7/10
The plot while one of the best things about it and is very entertaining it does get a bit repetitive they always come back to the overarching plot which is good but they only have 2 actual plot points (and yes I know its a limited series) and one of them the Stalking plot they don't really play on it at all and pretend that its normal?!? they act as if nothings wrong until the end and then ALL of a sudden they are responding normally too it because it could wrap up the series nicely.
The other plot point of the past lives I like it and a lot of dramas have done it amazingly and this drama does well at it but from the information you find out from episode 12-16 (ish) you earn no new information and they just keep going back to it from different perspectives not really adding anything new. Although I do love the plot of its destined to happen so why try to avoid it.
Also the ending left me wanting more although I know realistically that was the natural end to the show I still wanted to see Lee Hong jo and Jang Shin Yu have the wedding I feel like we don't get enough scenes of them happy together maybe that just the rom-com lover in me though.
Also the ex plot and her father (mayor of the company) just did not interest me at all the only good thing to come out of it was Lee Hong Jo's speech to her in the restaurant (in one of the final few episodes) and the scene where Jang Shin had figured out that the GF (now ex) slept with his old boss (correct me if I'm wrong), but other than that I was bored of it a few episodes in.
The magic / spells plot was honestly the best plot and funny asf especially when they only half believed in it towards the middle, and the whole scene with Kwon Jae Kyung when they were trying to prove to him it worked was good!
Characters / Acting: 7/10
The acting throughout the whole show for a most part is great there is a few moments especially in the first few episodes that the actors just don't funny understand there characters yet but apart from that the acting is good (yes there is a lot of 'cringy' bits BUT when is there not in a Drama, although I will say I did notice toward the middle and end i stopped pausing it from second hand embarrassment)
However the characters is what brough this catagory as the characters had the possiblity to be fleshed out and they have bac stories its just never gotten into, i mean Lee Hong's back ground is she was bullied and an orphan and while yes the part with her dad was cute and bonding for her and Jang Shin for the majority it is not explained like - WHAT I would have really liked to see that more and especially the behind the scenes with her mum and yes I get she died while Lee Hong was young i still would have at least liked for the show to show the affects of both of her parents dying.
I also think while yes there are quite a few characters I would have liked Lee Hong to actually have a good friendship instead of her and the women from her office as they were mostly in it to get closer to Jang Shin and Kwon Jae Like 0-0 at least let her make an actual friend!!
But all in all the characters have the potential to be fleshed out but they just didn't go into depth and I know that it is a limited series but still there is 16 episodes FIND SOME TIME.
Pace: 5/10
The pace of the whole show is quite slow BUT it does start to pick up around episode 7, and although it picks up at some point it becomes repetitive. And yes although I did watch it all in one (over the spa of like 3 days) and not weekly like intended but I still don't get why they give us the same plot point over and over again, ALSO the pace of the show is very much intended for a casual watch while still giving a good romance and thriller just thing they could have done it a bit better. And I'm glad they only stuck to a handful of plot points so they could go fully in depth in to a plot (meh) I wish they sped it up a tiny bit and gave us more of the day to day life.
Also the in universe time frame can get confusing at some point as they jump back and forth and sometimes a day had passed between scenes and sometimes months and most of the time they just don't tell you.
All in all I loved the show and I probably will try and watch the other shows that the actors are in just to see how they are in that.
This is all just for fun and what I liked and disliked! <3

However, the latest episode ended with a shocking twist that could change their relationship forever. Here’s what you need to know about ‘Destined With You’ episode 11, including the release date, time, and where to watch online.
What happened in ‘Destined With You’ episode 10?

(Photo : JTBC Official Instagram) In the previous episode of ‘Destined With You’, Lee Hong Jo (Jo Bo Ah) and Jang Shin Yu (Rowoon) finally confessed their feelings for each other and shared a passionate kiss. However, their happiness was short-lived as Shin Yu suddenly experienced a flash of his past life, where he saw a bloody hand on his cheek. The hand belonged to Hong Jo’s past life incarnation, Aeng Cho, who was involved in a tragic love story with Shin Yu’s past life self, Jang Mu Jin. Meanwhile, Kwon Jae Kyung (Ha Jun), who has a crush on Hong Jo, asked her to choose him over Shin Yu. He also revealed that he knew about Shin Yu’s curse and that he was willing to help him break it. However, Hong Jo rejected his offer and told him that she loved Shin Yu. On the other hand, Yoon Na Yeon (Yura), Shin Yu’s ex-girlfriend and the daughter of the mayor, was not happy with their breakup. She asked her father to transfer Hong Jo to another branch of the city hall. She also teamed up with Na Jung Beom (Ahn Sang Woo), the CEO of Green Landscape Garden, who had a grudge against Shin Yu for ruining his business.
What to expect in ‘Destined With You’ episode 11?

(Photo : JTBC Official Instagram) In ‘Destined With You’ episode 11, Shin Yu will be disturbed by his symptoms that have returned after a long time. Whenever he tries to get close to Hong Jo, the curse will keep him away from her and will slowly make him fall extremely ill. Hong Jo will start researching to find a way to end the curse on him. However, their romance will face a new challenge as Na Yeon and Jung Beom will plot against them. They will try to expose Shin Yu’s secret and ruin his reputation as a lawyer. They will also target Hong Jo and make her life difficult at work.

(Photo : JTBC Official Instagram) Will Hong Jo and Shin Yu be able to overcome the obstacles and stay together? Will they discover the truth behind their past lives and the origin of the curse? Will Jae Kyung give up on Hong Jo or interfere with her relationship with Shin Yu? These are some of the questions that fans are eager to find out in the next episode of ‘Destined With You’.

Hello! For the 🖊️ prompts:
The old lady in apartment 6 that thinks Lin and Zolt are newlyweds
Naoki from the hair salon (she was really cute)
Linzolt babies again. I desperately want to know more
Thanks for the ask!
Apartment 6
Her name is Lan Fen. She came from a merchant class Earth Kingdom family in Yu Dao and fell in love with a Fire Nation soldier at the height of the war. Her family didn't approve and she was disowned, but she and her love created a home together in the Harbor District, where the Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom neighborhoods started bleeding into one another. When she saw Lin and Zolt move into her building, it filled her with memories of the great love she had experienced, and gave her hope that things would be easier for the new generation.
Naoki
Naoki is actually not my OC; she's Mako and Bolin's mother. However, a headcanon I have about her is that she came from a very small island in the Fire Nation. She's never even seen the Caldera, but lives for news articles that discuss the goings-on at Fire Lord Zuko's court. She has a deep reverence for the spirits and keeps a candle with the image of the Painted Lady lit around the house for good luck.
Poppy and Zola
Lin takes the girls with her to Yui's salon; Poppy enjoys getting pampered along with her mom and sister, while Zola likes listening to all the adult gossip
Poppy works harder on her bending, but Zola has more of a natural affinity for her element
Shady Shin had to babysit them once and nearly lost his mind trying to keep them from finding out he was a Triple Threat
Zola worries a lot about both of her parents, and begs the spirits that they'll come home safely every day
Poppy tries to adopt almost every stray animal she comes across
Their great-grandparents adore them, and they spend a lot of time with them in Gaoling when Lin and Zolt are both busy
The girls assume that Sola is their grandmother—or at least Poppy does—and they get spoiled by the former crime lord whenever the family visits the Fire Nation
When they were babies, Sola gave them matching bracelets with gold dragons on them and Lin uses metalbending to resize them for the girls every few years
They both think their cousins in Zaofu are weird, but will protect Opal at any cost

A Guide For Yuuram Fans

Hello fellow yuuram fan! Have you ever caught yourself thinking:
- Does Yuuri like Wolf? - No, but I mean like "Does he REALLY like Wolf?" - Am I getting invested just to find out it's clickbait? - Is Yuuri ever going to accept Wolf's feelings? - Does Yuuri like guys? - Will they get married or not?
You have questions? I have source material-backed answers!
The Basics
First, you need to understand that there's a variety of so-called canons. There's an anime canon, a manga canon, a drama cd canon, a musical canon, and then some other random things that you can't really call canon but exist: such as games, radio shows, tv stuff not written by the author, etc.
All of these canons and non-canon stuff are fine, and you can enjoy them as much as you want, but they're NOT the source material. Source material are only the novels and stories that have been written by Takabayashi-sensei (anything in written form and some dramas also written by her according to interviews).
Takabayashi-sensei is the author of the novels (the source material out of which everything else is derived), and her word is "god's word". By the way, she used this term to refer to herself in regards to the maruma series, I'm not fangirling, but using terminology she herself used.
Please understand that most of the material that isn't 'source material' has been altered in many ways to appeal to a 'larger audience' (manga and drama cds), or to make it palatable to the more homophobic society of the 2000s (in the case of the anime). When the anime began social media didn't exist. And when the anime ended (in 2009), social media was in its infancy. That's how long ago these media were adapted from source material.
The Fandom
The fandom has influenced the source material itself at times (such as Conrad fans throwing a hissy fit when he died in novel 5 to the point that Takabayashi-sensei had to resurrect him and change who the key was and many other plot points since then). Certain shippers still force sensei's hand to write fanservice here and there, and despite that, one thing has been clear from the beginning:
Takabayashi-sensei's 'main couple' is the one she got engaged back in novel 1: Yuuri and Wolf, the royal couple.
The Bias
Before we get into the thick of this, let's take a moment to understand bias. I'm sure that if you're reading this far into this you really like yuuram and don't have a problem with homosexuality, boys love, etc. (I use yuuram to mean the royal couple: Yuuri and Wolf, nothing to do with 'who's on top' or anything like that, just a name for the ship with these two characters).
Despite that, anyone reading this has been born and raised in a highly hetero-normative society where if a girl so much looks at a boy she must be into him, and vice-versa.
Who can forget the "He was a boy, She was a girl, Can I make it any more obvious" lyrics of the 2000s? Same applies to 'ships' all across the board.
If any, and I mean any 'boy-girl' relationship was 10% of what the yuuram relationship is, there wouldn't be a single doubt that those two are in love, dating, married, and living happily ever after.
But when it comes to Yuuri and Wolf it feels like pulling teeth to get people to accept that they’re in a relationship. I blame mostly the anime for including weird non-canon ideas into fans minds, as well as heteronormative societies.
Please don’t be this person:

Finally, please take a moment to read THIS as an introduction to my next section.
The Royal Couple
Begin by forgetting everything you consumed from other canons (TV, manga, fanfics) if you truly want to appreciate the Royal Couple in its source material form.
1) Romantic interest
The source material has made Yuuri very interested in Wolfram since the very beginning. Of course, at first, he was only interested in Wolfram's physical appearance. But the more he got to know Wolfram the more he cared about him and the less he cared about his physical appearance.
To get a full picture of how madly he falls for Wolf, you need to read the novels, but here are some excerpts to illustrate my point:
How it started:
Source: Novel 1-Chapter 1
"Even if our bodies are evenly matched, when I just glanced up, I've already been defeated. How can he be this beautiful! (どうよ、この美しさ!) At the same time, his head is emitting an aura. Although it's likely that it seemed that way because of his dazzling blond hair. His looks and voice are like an older Vienna chorus boy. His white skin seems transparent, and his irises are an emerald green that make me think of the bottom of a lake, and furthermore he doesn't have a split chin. He's an angel, definitely an angry angel. However, because he's in this place, he's probably a beautiful demon."
-> Yuuri writes a fucking sonnet in his head about Wolf's beauty when they meet.
Source: Novel 1-Chapter 10
From the far side of the corridor, the blond with wavy hair comes running. The intense navy blue uniform suits him; the mazoku Prince Wolfram. I muttered in a sigh 'Although he's a man, he's this beautiful, Günter'.
-> Yuuri complains to Gunter that Wolf is too beautiful.
How it's going:
Source: Novel 17, Chapter 7
"Those words hurt me deeply inside my heart, a pain as though I was burnt in an instant. Because I had an experience like that, in which I nearly lost the most important person to me, just because he was wearing someone else’s clothes."
-> Yuuri calling Wolfram his most important person, code in the maruma series for person you're in love with.
Source: Do you want an exorcism? 2 (post novel 17)
"And because of that rich VARIETY in the configuration, mazoku is more an ethnicity than a race.
You have from kotsuhizoku, kotsuchizoku, and bone fish who are living creatures, even though they are just bones, to the seasonal migrating tribe of half-humanoid, half-fish maidmer princesses. As for the humanoid ones, there are regular looking ones like me or Conrad, but there are also some who are super beautiful like Günter or Wolfram............. as for the last one, this is just a little bit of my own personal bias, but it makes no difference if he's beautiful or not."
-> Yuuri saying that the beauty he went head over heals in novel 1 for, doesn't matter to him anymore because of his 'personal bias'
Source: Misepan 2: (post novel 17, arguably the last story written near the release of the novels)
"If I was in trouble, and I was missing something important. And you had one that was exactly the same ...."
"I'd lend it to you, of course"
I thought about this, literally with my hands on his chest. In fact, with my hand, that was pressed against his chest, I could feel that the speed of my partner's and my heartbeat was the same. Anyone would get blood rushing to their brains when they're seriously thinking about something. When I could calm down a little, I let out a small sigh.
"Or rather, when it comes to things that I can give you, I would give you anything, Wolf."
-> Yuuri tells Wolfram he would give him anything in the world.
2) Sexual interest:
-There are several times when the source material implies that Yuuri and Wolf don't just sleep at night.
Again, please remember that in the novels Greta does not sleep with Yuuri and Wolfram. This was a TV addition to appease homophobic minds. In fact, in the novels, Yuuri forbade Greta from sleeping with them because she's 'too old'. Also source material Greta is rarely in Shin Makoku as she's studying abroad half the time.
Source: Novel 2- Chapter10
"If I leave it up to you, it will never get settled."
"So, what kind of settlement do you want...?" My voice trails off as he sways his hips closer.
The former mazoku prince's face brightens and he pulls me down by the arm.
"Wah!"
"So you finally feel like settling things!?"
"I don't ~"
I'm scared to think about what sort of settlement this is. I'm not going to lose my life or anything, but I do feel like there's something else I'm going to lose. I desperately extract myself, fly into the bathroom and lock the door.
"Yuuri!"
"Wait wait wait! I gotta take a bath first, okay!? You don't wanna do it with a sweaty guy, right!?"
Do it...? I blanch at my own words.
-> Yuuri's subconscious is clearly working against him.XD It looks like Yuuri doesn't want to lose the v-card yet (he barely knows Wolf at this point), but he still says to Wolf he should take a bath before they do it. Gambare, Yu-chan
Source: Novel 4 - Chapter 1
-> Yuuri and Wolfram have been sleeping together for 3 months at the beginning of novel 4! Please! If this was a guy and girl you wouldn't be wondering what they're doing! He has a lock on the door! He can keep Wolf out , order him out, but he never does. Don’t be the gray haired lady!
Source: Never Ending Poison Lady 1
- "As a measure against Wolfram, who somehow even on our trips sleeps in the same bed as I do, I made a wall with three pillows which also had cute egg shaped buttons. I tucked my shirt into my pants, so that my stomach wouldn't get cold. After all, in the mornings when I woke up, both my clothes and my sleeping posture were always preposterous."
-> Yuuri says he puts some pillows to avoid getting into the weird sleeping postures and getting his clothes messed up and shirt untucked, but he never thinks of 'not sleeping with Wolf'~
Source: Never Ending Poison Lady 1 (same book as last)
- "While watching Wolfram's cheeks get red in excitement, a surprised Josak swallowed the question" You even sleep together when you're out on a trip?".
-> Even Jozak (the spy who's supposed to know everything) seems surprised that they're "sleeping together all the time". They're clearly hiding it from people.
Source: Maru maru maruMA- (book with series info and interviews)
Takabayashi-sensei replied to a question about Yuuri and Wolfram and what would happen once they get married... and she said it clearly: They'll have sex.
("Please answer my maruma question", maru maru maruMA)
Source: SS: Murakenzu 2018-11-13 (Paper 1 accompanying cd72) "Yeah, my father was talking about it, and she's still being called 'Gokumi', huh? At any rate, even if he was smiling way too much, his footsteps started to sound louder and faster as he got farther away. In that moment we thought: Eh? Is it that bad? Maybe they saw something while we were sleeping, or rather, maybe they took peeping photographs and want to do something bad with them."
"Rather than while you were sleeping, before going to sleep?"
"You mean like, when I do practice baseball swings naked or something?"
"Yeah, naked practice."
"Or maybe like, a picture of Wolf's butt when he's wearing his sexy negligee or something?"
"Ah! If a picture of it peeking out is released it would be bad, huh?"
"Then, I suddenly realized that "secret" might just be a hook. In other words, those trick titles that often appear in sports newspapers."
"Yes, yes."
-> Yuuri talks about Wolfram's butt showing as a common place and about himself being completely naked doing 'baseball practice' in the room with Wolf, whatever that may mean.
3) Illustrations
The 4 wedding pictures. Yuuri and Wolfram have been illustrated as married four times by the series' illustrator:
1 | 2 | 3 | 4
And I like to add this fifth one (used in There's Valentine's Day in Shin Makoku!? DVD special), since in the black and white version, there's a comment by Takabayashi-sensei that says: "With this we've finally won against the anime team! ", meaning they beat them to the wedding.
4) Terminology
Yuuri and Wolf are referred to in tweets by Takabayashi-sensei, GEG-san and Temari-sensei as the Royal Couple (ロイカプ). The author, editor and illustrator all know already what they are and that's why they call them that.
More information:
Please, please read the source material. But if you won't, at least read some of the analyses I've made to find out more about yuuram. Yuuram is here, it’s canon, and their ship has sailed a long time ago, in novel 1. They were always meant to end up together and they have. (”The dream ending” was how the author wanted yuuram to end, happily married). This isn't clickbait, or fanwork. The author likes the Royal couple and will see that they end up together no matter what.

the story
Jun grew up with her brother, Yuichi, in Okinawa. Their mother left them with their father at a few months old, so the two lived in the Shindo mansion from childhood on.
From a young age, Jun was always very excited to see the world around her. She smiled at everything she couldn’t reach, and what she could, she held onto as long as she was allowed. Even as a baby she was incredibly talkative and constantly wanted to be around people.
During her childhood, she grew to be quite the spitfire and a rebel—trying to bend the rules (but not quite break them). She constantly reached out to her father, trying to spend time with him, but he seemed to want little to nothing to do with the two children. Instead, the adults they spent the most time with were their tutor, the staff at the house, and Tadashi (who kept a close on them on top of his other duties. He never seemed to mind, however).
Both of the kids grew up very bored with limited options of what they could do (later, they’d find out, because their grandfather, Aiichiro, didn’t want their father to ‘ruin his reputation’ by the public finding out about the two of them). So they grew up with a private tutor, limited hobbies, and even more limited ability for social situations. The aunts, however, wouldn’t tolerate ‘socially awkward’ children if they were to stay around, so they grew up how to make good small talk with the adults around them.
Because of these limitations on their childhood, Tadashi did his best to keep them entertained. This included teaching the kids a hobby he knew well: skateboarding. By the time they were old enough to walk and balance well, he introduced them to the boards. (Granted, they were child-sized.)
Both kids fell in love with skating. Any free time they had was usually spent on designing/painting boards or learning new tricks. They were ecstatic when Tadashi gifted them paints for their birthday and they got to paint their boards however they wanted to. All this skating was done behind Ainosuke’s back, so there were more restrictions on their childhood hobbies as to when they could do the thing they enjoyed most.
As they got older, they started to learn more about the world and specifically, their father. Jun admired him and thought he was incredible, especially when they saw him on TV. She loved seeing him, where Yui couldn’t stand him and hated him for not spending more time with them. Even as kids, this drew a rift between them. However, because they were so young, they just avoided talking about that topic and talked about anything and everything else.
One summer, around the age of ten the kids were outside and their father came to join them to skate. This was when Jun found out he shared a similar love for it as she did. He showed off some of the tricks he could do, and she did the same! At some point in the afternoon, she realized Yui disappeared, but it was more time she could spend with her dad, so she decided to take it where she could.
Yui didn’t skate much after that. He would when she practically begged him too, but he’d discovered his own hobbies he enjoyed more (like recently, he’d taken up ice skating lessons after having to ask their great-aunts about it a million times until they allowed him to). Instead, she got to see her dad more frequently. Once in a while, he’d come out when she was skating and offer to join her. She learned a lot, but overall just had fun spending time with her dad when she could.
Time went on, and Yui got into her head a little more. Her teenage years were rough because of all of the conflicting feelings she had about her father (and family in general). She was bitter with her father for ditching them as kids, but he was also trying more, now. Even if it wasn't as much as she wanted, it was something. All this disagreement in her mind (plus her latest thoughts of royally pissing off her great-aunts at every chance she could get), led to her and Yui discovering a place called Crazy Rock and something called S.
Not knowing where else to go, they asked Tadashi about the baseline of information they had, and he answered what questions he could. He wasn’t going to, but they threatened to go digging anyway, so it was safer just to tell them. Soon after, they made their first trip to S.
Jun’s first impression was beauty. She’d always loved people, loved the energy of being around a ton of people at once. Any chance she got to talk to someone, she did. And S was full of people—people from all different walks of life, people she could talk to—
And unfortunately, some people were plain assholes.
Her initial reaction didn't last long, simply because when she started trying to ask questions, she was met with comments she didn't appreciate. “Go back to your boyfriend”, “why’s it matter, it's not like girls are any good, anyway”, etc. This included several raunchier ones that she decided she would prove wrong the following night. She left in a fit (Yui in tow), and immediately started planning.
Rather than her usual attire of tight clothes, short skirts, etc., she showed up the following night in jeans, a hoodie, and her hair tucked into a hat. Before leaving, she double-checked with Yui, and he said she passed well enough for a guy to look like one for the night.
When she showed up, she challenged the most impressive-looking guy there (someone she’d later learn used the name ‘Joe’ at S) to a beef, and he accepted. He was definitely impressive, but she got to prove her point at the finish line when she crossed first. She smacked on some lipstick, let her hair out of her hat, and ditched the hoodie—to everyone’s surprise, a girl had just beat him. From that point on, she was known as Sapphire at S, and she had several bets going on her during the week when she showed up.
She and Yui spent several weeks at S, uninterrupted. They got to meet several different people, she started hanging out with Joe more (who decided the teenagers shouldn’t be there without someone keeping an eye out for them), and overall had a lot of fun. One night, however, she had finished a beef and was doing her usual thing when her dad showed up.
Based on the whispers and her experience, she guessed he hadn’t shown up in a long time. And he looked more pissed off than she’d ever seen him. After a very tense staring contest (she was not backing down on this), they ended up in the car and driving home. Where she proceeded to be lectured for a solid ten minutes about why she wasn’t allowed to go anymore and how she was going to ruin his reputation and the secrecy of S and a bunch of other things she already was expecting. However, she had her own lecture for him. Hers was a lot shorter and summed up: “you weren’t a dad the first fifteen years of our lives, why bother now?” Adam didn’t talk much after that—not because he was shocked or hurt, but because he didn’t have anything better to say. Yet.
Enter Langa Hasegawa. Before him, she was vaguely aware of the red-head kid known as Reki but never went out of her way to talk to him. She was sure they'd met once or twice, but after Snow’s arrival, she got to know the both of them pretty well. Yui, too, as he followed her around like a lost puppy most of the time at S.
Reki, she had no issues with. He was a sweetheart—almost reminded her of a puppy. He was excitable, fun to listen to, and easy to embarrass when she was in a flirty mood.
Langa was a different story. She didn’t dislike him for any particular reason, but after his debut at S, she couldn’t stand how interested her dad was in this new skater. That feeling only festered when everyone seemed to take an interest in him and his snowboarding, I’m-a-rookie-that-can-pull-off-killer-stunts crap. The next month was a busy time. Shortly after Langa’s arrival, Miya started coming more and more often. He, Reki, and Langa were a sweet little trio and became fast friends. He was a great skater—no problems with him, either.
One night, someone tagged one of the walls inside the factory with a challenge for a beef with Langa. She was eager to see who was planning on challenging everyone’s new favorite skater when this kid who couldn’t have been any older than Miya waltzed her way up with an all-too-familiar skateboard. Joe recognized it, too: how the hell did this kid get their hands on Cherry Blossom’s board?
They found out later, the kid knew how to use it, too. At some point in the race, when they realized they were losing, they hit a switch on the board and it split in half—turning from one board to two rollerblades under their feet. From then on, they pulled ahead, coming to the finish line a few seconds before Langa could.
They didn’t see the kid—Neon, she later learned—for a solid week after that. The next time they did, she was accompanied by Cherry Blossom himself, who reintroduced her as his daughter, Sumire.
Everything went downhill from there.
Yui and Sumire hit it off. The two of them spent more time together at S than not, and eventually outside of that. She would walk to Yui’s room to ask if he was bored and wanted to do something, and the little sign on his door said he was out. Then, at S, all of a sudden her shadow was gone. As much as she teased him for it, she didn’t want him to leave. He was her cushion—when Yui was there, she had someone to talk to. But there he was, off with the rest of the group, making friends and enjoying the company of all the new people who now loved him. It wasn’t fair he got all the attention when he never wanted it. He’d said it a million times growing up! He hated it when the attention was on him, so she stepped forward and took the spotlight. She thrived in it.
So why did he enjoy it now? And why did no one bat an eye at her when she wasn’t up to skate next? The only reason people gave a shit about her, now, was how she did against whoever her latest opponent was. People had bets riding on her beefs, but that’s all anyone interacted with her. There, she was on too high of a pedestal for people to feel comfortable talking to her without being intimidated, so there was no point in trying to make friends.
The older she and Yui were, the less Tadashi had to keep an eye on them, and the more responsibilities he was given. She couldn’t go to him, either. Feeling worse the more isolated she became, she went to the only person she knew might give her the attention she was craving.
It might have been a mistake, but she went to the only person’s attention she’d ever striven for in the first place. And to her surprise, when she knocked on her father’s office door, she wasn’t shooed away. Instead, she was invited in, given tea, and asked if she wanted to chat for a while.
This went on for several days. She couldn’t figure out why the hell he had taken such an interest in her now of all times, but she was too desprate to care. He wanted to spend time with her—wanted to skate with her again, even—and that’s what mattered.
Things were getting interesting at S. Tensions seemed to be rising for no explicit reason—but when you have some of the best skaters anyone’s ever seen in the same vicinity, everyone wants to know who is the best. One day, the two of them were talking about this circumstance, and he proposed the idea of a tournament.

Review: Bossam

Year: 2021 Country: Korea Platform: Viki I absolutely adore a solid sageuk. When they go wrong, they can really fall flat but when done right - they are sweeping and epic in scale just because of the subject matter which makes them really soar. Bossam, however, did so much right (though I did have a small quibble but it was very small).
Jung Il Woo is one of my favorite actors of the flock that were all ‘in’ back when he first gained popularity. I find him thoughtful and passionate in his roles, and very much not afraid of uglifying and sometimes being downright unattractive. He was on thin ice with me, however after the fiasco that was Sweet Munchies so I really really wanted him to be good in this, and he so was. This, quite possibly, is one of my favorite performances of his.
The story’s initial conceit centers around the old practice of ‘kidnapping’ a widow so that they could remarry (though sometimes the kidnapee was not in on the deal). Jung Il Woo portrays Ba Woo, a destitute single father trying to make ends meet any way he can, lines of legality be damned. So when he’s hired to do a little Bossam, he figures why not - except he winds up setting off a chain of events that leads to governmental crisis after he kidnaps Soo Kyung, the King’s daughter. Oops…
Ba Woo is so incredibly broken, life held together by his need to exist for his son but it is the bare minimum of existence. This is mirrored by Soo Kyung (Kwon Yu Ri) who’s life was over before it could even really start, widowed before she was ever even actually married. Their story of pushing each other to find their own reasons for living, of slowly falling in love as they try to make it through abject poverty, is one of my all time favorites. They both, in many ways, are starting from absolute zero. They both fall victim to making poor decisions and they both learn to hope for more.
The third point of their triangle (because yes there is a triangle but I was largely on board with this one) is Shin Hyun Soo as Dae Yeop. I loved the triangle because it was balanced on a knife edge along every side, fraught with the tension of longing and suspicion. I love the pregnant promise of each relationship between the three of them, as Dae Yeop has his own journey that is painfully rendered. (And if I eventually write a fic that satisfyingly ties up this story in blissful polyamory, thats between me and AO3. I did write a little Bossam ficlet though, I was that inspired.)
My quip is that we, ultimately, have to return to palace politics. Though I love Sageuks, they are rife with it and sometimes I just long for a period piece about common people trying to live their lives. We get that for the first half of this drama, and it was satisfying enough.
The cinematography was excellent, and I have a tag full of screen shots I couldn’t help myself from taking. The visual story telling was so rich, throughout. The framing of scenes, the space between characters, their positioning, conveying so much about their characters and dynamics. It was a visual feast.
Maybe this deserves to be a little higher in the rankings. I’m not sure. I know I fell deeply in love with it and was sad to see it go. I feel like it fell into tropes with its final narrative arc and especially with its ending that kept it from really raising itself up to its fullest potential. That’s ok, though, because it did what it needed to do beautifully.

Let’s Turn This House Into a Home💜| Genie!Jimin x Reader
Summary: Park Jimin. Strange, vague and perhaps, misunderstood. He doesn’t fit in with his friends. He isn’t self-absorbed and like smoking a joint every few minutes. You are just like Jimin, maybe not in all way, but similar. What is he hiding?
Genre: High school AU, Supernatural AU, angst, and fluff
Warnings: Smoking, swearing, mentions of sexual activity, attempted sexual assault
Pt.2
“Jimin, man, come on!” Said purple-haired boy groaned and ran his hand through his hair.
“I told you guys, I’m not going anywhere near that shit.” Yoongi rolled his eyes and let out a puff of smoke.
“It attracts the ladies. And boys.” He chuckled and nudged Jungkook, earning a punch from the maknae.
“You guys are such assholes! You always pressure me to do things I don’t want to do and you give me shit for it! The only one who leaves me alone is Namjoon-hyung,” Jimin fired. He stood up from his position on the worn, black leather couch and ran up the stair case, shortly slamming his bedroom door closed. The eldest sighed, leaning over the kitchen counter, pinching the bridge of his nose. Yoongi stood with his mouth open, pointing his lit cigarette in the direction Jimin went.
“This is bullshit! I’m so sick of him. It’s like he’s got a stick up his ass 24/7,” the silver-haired man growled, throwing his cigarette on the ground and stomping it out.
“Hey! You know very well what he’s going through. It’s not easy for him. Show some compassion, dickhead.” Taehyung inputted. Yoongi kicked Taehyung in the shin with his black vans. He then made his way to the entrance of the house, picked up his bag and slung it over his shoulder.
“See you forth period.” And with a slam of the front door, he was gone.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ─── Jimin stared at the roof of his room. The ceiling was a faded cream with cracked paint and dark patches. The walls had peeling old-fashioned wallpaper, reflecting the neglect and mistreatment of the house. The room had Jimin’s childhood bed, a dingy, broken heater, and a wooden desk with a box on top. His eyes moved to the window. It had scratches, dirt and a hole pierced through it. The pink curtains were pinned back, letting the sun in. A tear rolled down his cheek. The tear was glowing a soft purple. The boy brought his left wrist in front of his face and traced the golden tattoo that encircled it. The tattoo appeared to be a beautiful bracelet, identical on both wrists. However, they wear handcuffs, binding him to an inevitable future. Anger flooded his veins and he screamed in agony, throwing a punch at the air, sending a wave of force across the room, puncturing a hole in the fragile wall.
He was hysterical now. Eyes wide with tears accompanying them. Hands gripped the roots of his hair violently. His episode was interrupted by a knock at the door. He could tell by the soft nature of it, that it was Jin. Jimin didn’t answer but the elder man entered anyway. He slipped inside the room and closed the door. He made his way around the small bed and sat down next to Jimin. He wrapped a long around Jimin’s smaller frame and this induced the younger to collapse his upper body into Jin. Jin was taken by surprised for a second but then gave a small smile. He let the boy cry for a moment before he guided Jimin to look at him.
“H-how do you do it Hyung?” Jimin stuttered out through sniffs and wet tears.
“I had to get used to it. Life isn’t fair, Chim. I’m sorry.” Jin sighed and ran his hands comfortingly through his best friend’s hair. “I had to grow up really fast. When I first saw my wings, I was mortified. My parents threw me out of the house and called the police in fear of me. They thought I was possessed. The Patrol Unit for Youth Supernatural Control got to me first though. I was extremely lucky because not every Supernatural born into Natural families get rescued.” Jin took in a small breath and continued. “The unlucky ones get- taken care of by the government.” Jin said in a weak voice. “I may not have parents, but I have you guys. You helped me accept that I was a Black Swan hybrid.” “I just want you to know, Jimin, that you’re not alone. You know (Y/N), the one in your Classical Studies class?” Jimin nodded gently. “She’s a Fire Bird.” Jimin turned to face Jin.
“Really?” Jimin mumbled and Jin nodded. “How do you know?”
“Well...”
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
“C’mon Jinnie! We’re playing boys versus girls!” A 10 year-old Jung Hoseok cheered, tucking on Jin’s arms. Jin felt a reoccurring sharp pain around his shoulder blades.
“Ho-hobi I need to use the restroom, I’ll be back in a second.” Hoseok groaned and walked back into the gymnasium.
“You stupid things! Please go away!” Seokjin cried, pulling violently on his large, black-feathered wings. The boy heard the shuffle of shoes entering the deserted locker room and he froze. A face peered around the entry into the locker room. A girl. She had (E/C) eyes, too big for her face and her hair was flowing down her back in a low ponytail, it was the colour of pure inferno. The pair made eye contact for a brief moment before the girl made her way towards Jin. He backed away in fear and confusion.
“Wait, wait. Let me help,” the girl said and Jin lowered his arm from his face. The girl pulled out a small bottle of a dark blue substance. She twisted the silver lid off and dipped her fingers into it. “Turn around.” Jin stared at the girl like she was crazy. She laughed. “I’m not going to hurt you. I’m like you!” She smiled. Jin gasped and then slowly turned around. She rubbed the Vaseline-like substance around the base of the wings, where they came out from his skin. She massaged it into the surrounding skin with care. The wings started to relax, before disappearing in a small cloud of black powder. To say Jin was shocked would be an understatement. “I’m (Y/N) (L/N). I moved here last month.” She stuck her hand out in front of Seokjin.
“I’m Kim Seokjin.” He smiled warmly before taking her hand. “You said you were like me. Do you have wings too?”
“Kind of!” She giggled before she stood up from the wooden bench. She took in a breath, closed her eyes and with a quick swirl of red flames, she transformed. She wasn’t a human anymore. Her skin was now made of fire, her hair of lava. She had grown wings that took the form of a bird’s.
“You-your skin, your clothes!” Jin exclaimed.
“I don’t burn what I don’t want to. I learned to control it.” She smiled before transforming back into her human form. “I’m a fire bird, a supernatural. I’m guessing you’re a hybrid,” she said, hand on her chin.
“I wasn’t aware there were different types,” Seokjin scratched his head in embarrassment.
“Supernaturals are the ones that can complete and entire transformation and typically have powers that can be use din our human form. Hybrids, however, only have what they do.” Jin nodded. “And the stuff I put on your wings is what my mum made for me. I use it sometimes. You can have this one though. I have lots,” (Y/N) smiled and gave Jin the bottle.
“We better get back to sport,” Jin laughed and (Y/N) nodded. “I’m sure Hoseok is waiting for me quite impatiently.” The ravenette pouted and (Y/N) chuckled.
The pair made their way to the gym where Hoseok and (Y/N)’s friend Chou Tzu-yu waited. Hoseok had his arms crossed and Tzu-yu ran over to (Y/N).
“Finally! Let’s beat these chicks!” Hoseok yelled and the boys all cheered.
“Yeah right, Jung. We’re gonna send you to Hong Kong!” (Y/N) fired back, hand gripping a dodge ball already, and the girls cheered.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
“Wow, Hyung. I never knew you and her were close.” Jin hummed in response as Jimin sat up, placing his hand on his head after the quick blood-flow back to his brain. “Does she know about me?” Jin shook his head.
“I don’t plan on telling her. That’s something you can do when you feel comfortable.” Jin sat up off the bed and made his way to the door. “We have to go back to school or we’ll be late.” Jimin nodded and wiped a bit of snot threatening to leak from his nose.
“Hyung-” Jimin called and Jin looked over his shoulder. “Thank you.” The elder boy smiled before returning to the living room, Jimin trailing behind.
“There’s our Chim!” Taehyung grinned, putting Jimin in a headlock and ruffling his hair.
“HEY! STOP!” The shorter boy whined, trying to escape the wrath of Taehyung. The younger gave up and wrapped an arm around Jimin and ran a hand through his blue hair as the boys filed out of the house with their bags.
“I have Economics next.” Jungkook sighed.
“I’ve got Food Tech!” Jin chimed and Jungkook pouted.
“At least we have English together in fourth~” Hoseok said calmly and the boys nodded.
“I pissed off Yoongi-Hyung though.” Jimin said.
“You’ll be fine, Chim. He’s not gonna be made at you forever.” Namjoon replied and the other hummed in agreement.
Once the boys had made it school, they all split up to go to their classes. Jimin pull his black hoodie over his head and shoved his hands into his pockets.
“Leave me alone, you cow!” Jimin heard a girl yelled and it caught his attention. he pulled down his down his hood and looked over his shoulder. In the corridor he just passed he saw the back of a tall girl with slightly wavy, auburn hair that reached her shoulders. She had tanned, strong legs that were smoothly shaven. Chou Tzu-yu. She had a girl only a few centimetres shorter than her pinned to the grey, metal lockers. this girl had hair the colour of fire. Her (S/C) arms were pinned beside her head and she was struggling against the grip of Tzu-yu. It was (Y/N) (L/N).
“Not until you give me what I asked for~” Tzy-zu sang and (Y/N) growled. “What’s wrong (Y/N)? Can’t transform?” Tzy-zu mocked and then cackled. (Y/N) tried to kick Tzu-yu but she slammed her body directly onto her. “I’ve always been stronger than you (Y/N). I always will be. Now, give me what I want!” The tall girl seethed.
“I’M NOT KISSING YOU, CHOU!” (Y/N) screamed, attempting to get away from Tzu-yu once more.
“Yah! Stop!” Jimin intervened and tried to push the taller girl away from (Y/N). The girl was caught by surprise, giving Jimin the opportunity to get (Y/N) away. Tzu-yu stumbled back and growled at Jimin.
“This doesn’t concern you, Park.” She dusted herself off and stormed towards the pair. Jimin slashed the air with his hand, created a storm of sharp, purple sand. It hurled at Tzu-yu and sliced her skin painfully. She screamed and Jimin grabbed (Y/N)’s hand, pulling her into the old girls locker room. It was at the end of the school hallways, the part that has boarded up windows and had dust collected in every corner. The flickering lights littered on the ceiling of the locker room served little purpose. Jimin and (Y/N) sliced down behind a row of punched-in, rusted lockers. The room was abandoned 7 years ago when a fire started in the showers. Three girls and an unidentified male died. The cause of the fire was ruled to be an arson but not legal action was taken as there were no suspects. The school board decided to close that section of the school instead of fixing it.
(Y/N) ran her hands through her slightly greasy roots.
“Are you alright? What was that back there?” Jimin questioned.
“I’m- I’m fine. It’s not the first time it happened.” She responded. This angered Jimin.
“What kind of human does that?” His voice now laced with anger. The redhead shook her head.
“Gross ones like her.” They sat there in silence for a few moments. “How much did you hear?”
“I started listening at ‘you cow.’“ Jimin said and (Y/N) chuckled softly. “Don’t worry. I’m like you.” He said. The girl looked at him in surprise. “Jin-Hyung told me about the day you helped him.” He explained and she nodded.
“What are you?” Jimin bit his lip and looked away.
“I- I haven’t really accepted what I am.” He warned and (Y/N) gave him a sympathetic smile. She placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.
“Not everyone is the same.” He nodded.
“I’m a Genie.” This sentence made the girl’s mouth drop to the floor. She leaned over and picked up his left arm.
“Can- can I?” She asked and Jimin nodded. She slowly rolled up his sleeve, unveiling the intense gold tattoos encircling his wrists and blossoming up his arm, disappearing up the rest of his sleeve. “Jimin- They’re gorgeous!” She gasped and Jimin felt his face heat up. “I thought Genies were bred out of existence, the stuff of fiction.” She continued gaping at Jimin’s tattoos. He gently retracted his arm and pulled down his sleeve.
“Not all.” Is all the boy said before standing up. “I think she’s gone.” He put out his hand to help (Y/N) and she took it. She dusted herself off and peaked around the lockers. She sighed with relief and started to walk out of the old locker room. She paused for a moment and threw a glance over her shoulder.
“Thanks, Jimin. It means a lot.” She smiled and walked off, leaving Jimin with his thoughts.

KDRAMA.
My Top 5 Korean-Drama Recommendations:
1. Chicago Typewriter
2. Remember: War of the Son
3. Tunnel
4. D-Day
5. Class of Lies
Disclaimer: I am NOT A FAN of romantic comedies, so most of my kdrama recommendations are all under the genre of crime, mystery and thriller.

5. Class of Lies (2019)
Network: OCN
Genre: Crime, Mystery, Thriller
Episodes: 16
Plot (by AsianWiki):
Ki Moo-Hyeok (Yoon Kyun Sang) is a lawyer with a high winning rate. He only cares about money. Due to a murder case at a high school which he deals with, his reputation as a lawyer hits rock bottom. In order to regain his good name as a lawyer, he sneaks into the high school and begins to work as a temporary teacher. He tries to reveal a secret which the students have. In so doing, Ki Moo-Hyeok gets involved with Teacher Ha So-Hyun (Keum Sae Rok). She is P.E. teacher who loves her students. Ki Moo-Hyeok and Ha So-Hyun then face the students' secret.
Thoughts/Conclusion:
As I am writing this, this is the latest kdrama I have watched. This was recommended by my friend and I remembered myself including this in my list of kdramas ‘to watch’ way before, but hasn’t been able to, yet. Hahaha!

In all of the dramas I’ve watched (with the same plot as this one), this one stands out the most because of its ending ㅡ open-ended. Yes, there were still some unanswered questions, but that is what made this drama intriguing. I love how realistic the approach of the drama is in interpreting the story. That not everything gets resolved, and in this drama too, the ending with Yu Beom Jin left us with many unanswered questions.

4. D-Day (2015)
Network: JTBC
Genre: Medical Drama, Disaster, Romance
Episodes: 20
Plot (by Wikipedia):
Lee Hae-sung is a surgeon who is transferred from one of the best hospitals in Seoul to a rundown hospital with no ER. After disobeying his previous hospital director, Park Geon, he then meets Jung Ddol-mi, an orthopedic resident from Busan who came to Seoul to transfer a patient. Ddol-mi tries to meet professor Han Woo-jin, a cold robotics surgeon who works in Hae-sung's old hospital who saved her life when she was younger before going back to Busan. However, she is stuck in Seoul after trying to save a patient. Meanwhile, a sinkhole appears in Seoul followed by a big earthquake that blocks all access to the city, causing phones, electricity, and water to not function. Hae-sung teams up with Ddol-mi to treat people, but soon medicine starts to run out.
Thoughts/Conclusion:
If I will recall, I think this is the first medical kdrama I have watched? I watched this because of Lee Sungyeol of INFINITE is casted in this drama and also because of the plot. But as I go on, I found myself so absorbed in the series.

What I liked about this series aside from the plot are the actors and actresses. They all did well in portraying each character, but I have to say, Kim Young Kwang really stands out for me. He has put a lot of effort in expressing his emotions into his character and it felt so real.

3. Tunnel (2017)
Network: OCN
Genre: Police Procedural, Crime, Thriller
Episodes: 16
Plot (by AsianWiki):
In 1986, Detective Park Gwang-Ho (Choi Jin Hyuk) desperately tries to catch a serial killer. He chases after the serial killer and goes through a tunnel. On the other side of the tunnel, Detective Park Gwang-Ho finds himself in the year 2017. The serial killer has resumed the killings that began 30 years ago. Detective Park Gwang-Ho works with Detective Kim Sun-Jae (Yoon Hyun Min) and Professor of Criminal Psychology Shin Jae-Yi (Lee Yoo Young) to catch the killer.
Thoughts/Conclusion:
I was actually torn between Tunnel and Signal, but I decided to include Tunnel in my Top 5 kdrama recommendations because it tackles criminal psychology as well as criminal profiling and I have been very interested in those things lately. What makes this series intriguing is that, it shows how psychopaths and sociopaths are developing in the society.

2. Remember: War of the Son (2015)
Network: SBS
Genre: Legal Drama, Crime, Thriller, Mystery
Episodes: 20
Plot (by Wikipedia):
Seo Jin-woo has a special condition called hyperthymesia which allows him to remember almost every day in perfect detail. While his father, Seo Jae-hyuk on the other hand, developed an Alzheimer's disease, making him lose his memories. When Seo Jae-hyuk was wrongfully convicted of murder, Jin-woo vows to prove innocence of his father. Four years later, Jin-woo becomes a lawyer to put the real criminal behind bars but bribery, corruption, and betrayals would not give him an easy road to justice.
Thoughts/Conclusion:
This series has been my top 1 kdrama ever since I have watched it, but Chicago Typewriter happened (well, I’ll be talking about this later). I came across a clip from the first episode of the series in Facebook. It was the scene on Jinwoo and Inha on the bus while identifying the culprit who stole something from Inha. I was intrigued about it and how Jinwoo has sharp memory and remembers everything.

What I love about this drama is the refreshing new plot and the characters, oh, let’s not forget how good Nam Goong Min portrayed his character as Nam Gyu Man. He really showed excellent acting skills to the point that even the viewers will hate him SO MUCH. Hahaha.

1. Chicago Typewriter (2017)
Network: TVN
Genre: Historical, Fantasy, Comedy, Romance
Episodes: 16
Plot (by Wikipedia):
The series depicts three resistance fighters who lived during the 1930s Japanese occupation of Korea, and are reincarnated into the present as a best-selling writer in a slump, a fan, and a ghostwriter.
It is an epic story of comradeship, friendship, love and betrayal that lasts 80 years. As the trio of writer, ghostwriter and fan race against time to find the truth of the past that haunts them, will their discovery affect their present?
Thoughts/Conclusion:
This is actually one of the recent kdramas I’ve watched during this enhanced community quarantine and I just have to say that this is actually one of my regrets in life (ok this is exaggerated lol but anyways). I regret not being able to watch this during the release which was last 2017. But it was actually on my ‘to watch’ list at that time. I’ve seen the plot and it made me curious, so I waited for it to finish before actually starting it, but I wasn’t really able to watch it because I got busy with school.

THIS. IS. SO. SO. SO. SO. GOOD.
As I’ve said above, Remember: War of the Son used to be my top 1 kdrama of all time, but after watching Chicago Typewriter, I changed my mind. Okay hear me out, I’ve seen A LOT of kdramas with new and interesting plot, but they haven’t topped Remember yet, but Chicago Typewriter just did, and I really mean it.
For the story, there were times where I felt that the story-line was moving slow. I mean, I wasn’t expecting it to be fast-paced but there were really scenes that I think have been dragged too long and not that important. But aside that, everything was SO GOOD. YES. IT WAS SO GOOD.

I love how series unfold the genuine friendship between the three main characters during the 1930s Japanese occupation of Korea – Seo Hwiyoung, Ryu Soohyun and Shin Yul. The storytelling throughout the drama is also good, even though they were constantly shifting timelines between 1930s and the present.

The OSTs in the series were also GOOD. I tried listening to it after I watched the drama and I swear, listening to Satellite by SALTNPAPER and Writing Our Stories by SG Wannabe brings back all those emotions you’ve felt while watching it.

Nampō Roku, Book 5 (61): the Naka-ita [中板].

61) Naka-ita [中板]¹.

_________________________
◎ This sketch, which has no text associated with it other than the title, is the last of the illustrations found in Book Five of the Nampō Roku.
This section is followed by eight or so groups of admonitions, which Look at certain details related to the various arrangements that were covered in this book; which is followed by a (probably spurious) post-script, purported added by Rikyū.
¹Shibayama Fugen states that the naka-ita was created by Nōami, supposedly so that Ashikaga Yoshimasa could continue to practice chanoyu after his storehouse had been burned down. The problem with his explanation is that the loss of Yoshimasa's storehouse (and the collection of tea utensils that were kept therein) seems to have occurred several years after Nōami's death. It also appears that Yoshimasa did not begin to use the naka-ita, with the utensils from his o-chanoyu-dana arranged on it, until the period of his (brief) second retirement (from the end of 1589 to the beginning of 1590). Certainly the nature of this sort of practice would have matched the twice-retired shōgun's mood during these last months of his life.
The explanation given is that the naka-ita was made by cutting off the outer 2-sun on all four sides of the ten-ita, which differs slightly from what Rikyū wrote -- that the naka-ita was created by cutting away the edges up to the inner-corners of the four leg holes (the difference being that the ita, according to Rikyū, would have been about 5-bu larger on both sides than what Shibayama’s process gives). The difference is not really significant; though, when centering the board between the heri, the host must decide whether to align the side closest to the guests’ seats with the me or not.
Once again, while the sketch shows the naka-ita divided by the seven-kane of Jōō's system, Rikyū appears to have preferred to use the five-kane system (since the naka-ita was derived from the ten-ita of a large daisu).
In the present day, two varieties of naka-ita are commonly sold: the larger one (which is used with the furo) was derived from the large daisu, while the smaller one (now used with the ro) was made in the same way from the ten-ita of a small daisu.
In the Nampō Roku, the smaller board used with the ro is referred to as a tana-ita [棚板]; and, rather than being made by cutting down the ten-ita of a small daisu, Book Four (which is where a discussion of its various arrangements may be found) states that it was made (by Rikyū) by turning the ji-ita of the fukuro-dana over (so that the side with the leg-holes is facing downward). In fact, the small naka-ita that are sold today are too narrow to allow some of the arrangements shown in Book Four.
With respect to the name, of the ita, according to the Nampō Roku, it should be naka-ita [中板], which means “the middle of the board.” The reason is that, in this same work, the entire ji-ita of the daisu is referred to as the naga-ita [長板] (“long board”), while this board represents the inner portion of the board (albeit, made from the ten-ita) after the edges have been cut away. In modern-day chanoyu, this board is usually called the naga-ita [長板] (“long board”) -- in contrast to the other varieties of boards on which the furo may be arranged: the ō-ita [大板], ko-ita [小板], and (rarely seen) shi-hō-ita [四方板] (which was made by cutting away the damaged half of an old naka-ita, using the remaining piece as a base for the furo, while the mizusashi was then placed directly on the mat at its side -- indeed, according to Rikyū’s own account, this was the first kind of shiki-ita that Jōō made).
Regarding the furo that should be used on the naka-ita, Yoshimasa established the precedent of using a large iron kimen-buro [鬼面風爐], and this should be considered the “most correct” kind of furo. However, since the sixteenth century, large do-buro [土風爐] (furo made of low-fired clay, and then painted with lacquer), with or without a mayu [眉], were also used on the naka-ita. Since the early 20th century, medium-sized bronze furo (whether kimen-buro, Chōsen-buro [朝鮮風爐], or bronze furo that imitate one of the old ceramic versions -- these furo are all around 1-shaku across) are the kind of furo most commonly seen (though at least up until Rikyū's period, furo of this size were only used on the shin-daisu).
While the kaigu were originally bronze (and almost never pieces made as part of a matching set), in the modern period these are more commonly made of glazed ceramic.
——————————————–———-—————————————————
◎ Analysis of the Arrangement.
The naka-ita should be placed on the mat 5-sun from the far end, and centered between the heri.

The furo occupies the left half (a large iron kimen-buro will extend from the left edge of the board to a point just shy of the central kane), while the shaku-tate*, koboshi, and futaoki are arranged on the right half (the futaoki is placed squarely on its kane -- indicating that it is supposed to be a meibutsu futaoki† -- and then the shaku-tate and koboshi are centered between it and the furo).
There is not sufficient room for a mizusashi on the naka-ita (and, when the large kama made for use with the large kimen-buro -- which was the prototype upon which the modern ro-gama were based -- is used, one is not really necessary‡).
If a mizusashi will be used, it should be brought out at the beginning of the temae, and either lifted onto the board**, or, it may be placed on the left side of the mat one or two me from the heri, and 2-sun away from the front edge of the board, and used from that spot (and then taken away at the end of the temae), as shown below.

As for the temae, almost any sort of service is possible, though ones that rely on objects being arranged on the ten-ita are, of course, impossible to perform in this setting††. __________ *Note that the hibashi should only be placed in the shaku-tate at the beginning of the shoza, so that they may be used during the sumi-temae. At the conclusion of the sumi-temae, they should be put into the sumi-tori and removed from the room. During the goza, only the hishaku should ever be present in the shaku-tate.
It is also not wrong to bring the hibashi in with the sumi-tori at the beginning of the sumi-temae.
And, except when incense will be appreciated during the shoza, a hai-ki should never be used with the furo -- according to several of Rikyū’s densho.
†According to Shibayama Fugen, all of the utensils placed on the naka-ita should be meibutsu pieces; and in the redrawn sketch included in his commentary, once again the futaoki is rendered as a square, suggesting Nōami’s treasured Rinzai-in [臨濟印].
‡If a mizusashi is not used during the temae, the host should pause slightly during the yu-gaeshi, so that the water in the hishaku will cool off a little (so that it will restore the shō-fū [松風] sound).
In this case, at the end of the temae, a small mizusashi should be brought out -- perhaps while the guests are inspecting the chaire -- so that two hishaku of cold water can be added to the kama (after which the mizusashi is taken back to the katte).
**After the koboshi has been lowered, and the futaoki moved into the just-vacated spot in front of the shaku-tate -- at which point a mizu-tsugi should be brought so that the mizusashi may be filled to 90% of its capacity before the temae (in Rikyū's period, it was not refilled at the end of the temae, however, even if the mizusashi was left in place on the naka-ita).
††As Yoshimasa began to use the naka-ita only after his collection of famous utensils had been destroyed, he did so using the pieces that had formerly been used on the o-chanoyu-dana. Thus, the chaire, for example, was probably a large taikai, either placed directly on the mat, or resting on a 1-shaku maru-bon (or, in later times, the chaire may be placed on a chaire-bon).

something like the show superstore where hyewon and your muses gets into hi-jinks at the store and they don’t really take the job as serious but they do. could be neighbors so we have more to go off on.
do kiyong ( min yoongi fc )
i want the plot where kiyong accidentally drags your muse into his assassin lifestyle because the guys searching for him sees them together so he has to protect them at all costs. please
park minseok ( kim soohyun fc )
imagine your muse is online friends with this gamer and they’re really good friends and plan on meeting at an upcoming gaming convention or an arcade and they come in these weird ass hats or something that makes them easily identifiable only for their friend to be their college professor.
the ex that broke up with him due to him being immature and not managing themselves seriously. that’s it , i just want angst
dirty luck boys
( yu sian / im changkyun ) i want someone positive in his life that’s actually helping him try to win his sister back. they’re trying to keep him on the right track but it always fails because he’s still hanging out with his friends so they start making him choose.
( cody lee / koo junhoe ) the ex who is disappointed in him. like he was on the start of actually doing something with his life until he tore that muscle so he just started becoming like his dad. could be enabling the behavior since he was supposed to move out of the country to expand himself so maybe they’re taking full advantage of him now.
( jeon woojin / han seungwoo ) the ex / old friend he betrayed by stealing from them and buying drugs with it. he maybe even ditched them or had them setup to get held up at a store at night by arthur and they noticed the two of them hanging out but he doesn’t want to be confronted but they should.
( hwang minsu / cha eunwoo ) the politician’s son who admires your muse from a distance. like he would rather like them from afar instead of dragging them into his life , both friends and family wise. what if they hate his dad so he just doesn’t want to drive them away.
kwon junhee ( park seojoon fc )
THE DETECTIVE WHO’S ON HIS ASS !!!!! what if they had a hunch he wasn’t dead so they started to annoy his siblings and bugged the house , tracking transactions to a suspicious account and eventually it leads to them hunting him down and confronting him. + bonus : they used to be exes or friends and they just wanted an answer.
kwon jinhee ( seo yeji fc )
the person in her life she’d die for honestly. they’re her support system and she’s theirs. she doesn’t mind helping them with anything and are always with one another. just give her some happiness tbh.
kwon taehyun ( choi yeonjun fc )
really want a plot where taehyun was close with your muse and when they were in high school he had beat a kid unconscious due to them messing with your muse. he had to cut them off for family reasons and that resulting in them not talking until after his parents’ death. maybe they think he lost his temper and did it so they get close : could be an aspiring writer wanting to reveal the information , can be someone using him to their advantage since they know he’ll do anything for him , can be a person who just wants to show him he’s not a danger.

Prism Horror Show (a Prism Rush event summary)
This event was actually kind of terrifying.
But before starting I’d like to note that the card stories are completely different from the main story, so I won’t be covering them. The card stories are basically all about Kouji gathering the Edel Rose boys together to tell ghost stories. Each card story is the boy telling a ghost story which can probably be explained easily by non-supernatural things, such as Yu thinking his dumplings disappeared when they were most likely just stuck to the lid of his lunchbox. All except for Kouji, who apparently taught piano to a real ghost…
Now, the main story
It starts off innocently enough with Shin and Leo staring at each other intensely as Shin begs a tearful Leo to not give in.
It turns out Shin and Leo have not yet finished their summer homework.
The older boys agree to help them, but meanwhile they also realize Yu is off “taking a break” from homework by playing his guitar. And Taiga has decided to “pass” on homework altogether. So Yu and Taiga haven’t finished either, and also none of them have started their independent study reports.
Just as Yu wishes he could have caught some bugs so he could do a report on them, Kouji appears with an amazingly coincidental offer for Shin, Leo, Yu, and Taiga. He invites them to star in a TV program about finding a legendary rainbow rhinoceros beetle which is supposed to make you Prism King. Nikkanen and Louis have been invited too.
Time skip ahead to the boys somewhere in the backwoods of somewhere. The staff decide to give Nikkanen the handy camera to document their journey. Louis immediately attaches himself to Shin, insisting they link arms so they “don’t get separated.” The two marvel at some yellow flowers they find in the woods and wonder what they are called.
Although it’s a depopulated area, the boys decide to try and find what locals they can to ask about the rainbow beetle. They find out that the locals all know the legend, but have never heard of anyone actually finding it.
Shin thinks he might have heard an old man warning them not to look for it.
He tries to ask if he heard correctly, but he’s cut off when he hears a strange sound
It starts to rain.
Suddenly they notice they have somehow become separated from the staff as well. While trying to escape the rain, they find an old, out of place looking western-style mansion with a garden full of dead yellow flowers. At first they hesitate to go inside without permission, but the rain pours harder and Shin becomes concerned when he sees Louis shivering and sneezing. They enter.
It’s dark and there is no electricity. Nikkanen tries to turn on the light on the handy camera, but by the time he figures it out the boys have somehow already become separated.
Nikkanen finds Yu and the two decide to head to the kitchen as Yu thinks it’s the place everyone is most likely to gather. (As Yu says, when Taiga’s hungry, he’s bound to wind up there.) But they make slow progress as Yu cowers behind Nikkanen, gripping on his shirt.
Suddenly the screen distorts and Leo, or rather someone who looks like Leo, wearing a frilly gothic dress appears.
Meanwhile, Taiga and the actual Leo have wandered off to find a lost cat they can hear mewing. Leo worries about becoming separated from the others, but he’s concerned about the cat and about Taiga as well.
They follow the mewing sound to a large door, but coming from behind that door is a loud scratching sound and a violent banging that doesn’t sound like any ordinary cat. They decide to run before suddenly hearing a scream that sounds like Yu.
Yu and Nikkanen had confronted the frilly dress “Leo” only to find him torturing a screaming “doll” that looks just like Yu in a straight jacket. “Leo” then turns to Yu and Nikkanen, asking if they would be his dolls. Yu and Nikkanen run.
Now Taiga and the real Leo can hear Nikkanen screaming as well. At first they aren’t sure which direction they should head towards, but then they come to the same conclusion Nikkanen and Yu had earlier and head to the kitchen. (As Taiga says, when Yu is hungry, he’s bound to wind up there.)
Suddenly the screen distorts. “Louis” wearing a frilly black gothic dress and a veil appears. “Louis” invites them to follow him. Beside “Louis” is “Kouji”, covered in some kind of mysterious red splotches. “Kouji” tells them they have come at just the right time… and lunges for Taiga.
Taiga dodges and runs for his life with Leo. “Louis” laments that they are getting away, and “Kouji” shrugs and says he doesn’t really want to run but they have no choice.
Leo and Taiga realize that they are being chased and search for a place to hide while asking each other what is going on here. Suddenly Leo runs right into Nikkanen, but only to have Nikkanen shout that he won’t be Leo’s doll and run the other way, dropping the handy camera in the process.
Meanwhile, the real Louis has found himself in a room that somehow has light despite the rest of the mansion being dark. Shin warns Louis not to get lost, so Louis happily takes Shin’s hand. However, he finds Shin’s hand is colder than he expected.
The screen distorts and Shin… or rather “Shin”, changes into a dark robe.
“Shin” sees a bathroom with a shower room inside. He tests it to find it has hot water and invites Louis to take a shower with him. Louis is surprised at this out of character move, asking “Shin” if he really doesn’t want to look for the others anymore. But “Shin” asks Louis why don’t they just relax and warm up before they catch a cold.
Louis is torn. He knows something is not right. But… the idea of showering with Shin…
Leo and Taiga review the footage on the camera to try and find out what’s scared Nikkanen so much. Taiga inches away from Leo as they both watch “Leo’s” actions on the screen. He asks Leo how he could do such things, but Leo becomes upset and insists that it couldn’t have been him because he’s been with Taiga this whole time. Leo finally manages to convince Taiga that it wasn’t him, and it must have been some kind of alternate version of him like the “Louis” and “Kouji” they saw. But speak of the (possibly literal) devil, “Kouji” has caught up to them. “Kouji” lunges for Leo, but Taiga jumps in the way…
Shin has become separated from everyone. He wanders through the mansion calling for Louis before running into Nikkanen. But Nikkanen isn’t acting like himself. He keeps mumbling over and over again about how terrified he is and is barely responding to Shin.
They enter a library where Shin finds a diary that mentions the rainbow rhinoceros beetle. It warns against searching for it, as obsession with the beetle can cause illusions and distortion of personality…?
Suddenly the screen distorts. “Taiga” appears wearing a suit of armor. He starts laughing manically. Shin realizes something is wrong and tries to grab Nikkanen and run.
But the screen distorts again and this time Nikkanen has changed.
“Nikkanen” now has on a mask that Shin remembers seeing in a movie. He says he’s not going to be scared anymore and this is the way to do it. “Nikkkanen” wonders why he didn’t figure it out all along… the key to everything…. is blood….
Yu had kept running until he found a hiding spot to escape from “Leo”. But he wonders if he should search for Nikkanen. Suddenly the door opens and “Nikkanen” appears. Yu calls out to him, but “Nikkanen” does not respond. Seeing the mask and the weapon in his hand, suddenly Yu realizes he’s maybe going to die.
Leo appears and saves Yu by driving away “Nikkanen” with the light from the camera. Yu yells that he doesn’t want to be a doll, but Leo tells him they don’t have time for that as “Kouji” has caught Taiga. Yu won’t listen and runs from Leo.
Leo runs after him and both of them run into “Taiga”. Yu is relieved but Leo is confused, remembering that Taiga wasn’t wearing a suit of armor the last time he saw him. Leo tries to warn Yu as “Taiga” starts swinging his sword.
Meanwhile, the real Taiga is tied up in the kitchen. He asks “Kouji” what he’s going to do with him, and “Kouji” tells his kittens it’s time for dinner. Several kittens appear and soft mewing turns to loud howling as they come for Taiga.
Also meanwhile, Shin has outrun “Nikkanen”. He wonders what the heck is going on. He locks himself in a room to hide, but he hears knocking from the other side of the door. Although he’s afraid “Nikkanen” might be on the other side, the thought that it might be one of the other boys causes him to decide to creak it open a little.
As soon as Shin opens the door, the entire room turns red.
He faintly hears and then sees someone before him. It’s Louis. He’s with “Shin” in the shower. Shin hears “Shin” asking Louis if he likes the room red.
Shin becomes distraught as the scene continues and he can only watch as “Shin” starts to reach out and put his hands around Louis’ neck. Louis asks if they will always be together, and “Shin” agrees that they will…
Shin becomes increasingly panicked and shouts out to Louis that it’s not him. But Louis can’t hear him. Shin frantically tries to flee the room to save Louis. He bursts out into the hallway.
But instead, the next thing he knows he’s outside on the veranda.
A window suddenly breaks causing him to almost fall off, but he manages to grab the railing. However, he’s slipping.
The screen is still tinted red and Shin is gradually lowering with every line.
Shin wonders how things could have possibly turned out this way. They were just trying to get out of the rain. Was searching for the rainbow rhinoceros beetle the cause of all this?
Suddenly “Louis” appears before him.
“Louis” tells Shin he loves him. The “red” him.
Shin asks “Louis” what he means by the “red” him.
“Bye bye”, says “Louis”….
He pushes Shin from the ledge.
As Shin falls, he tries to remember what those yellow flowers from the garden were called…
Yu asks Shin why he’s suddenly stopped walking. Nikkanen is enthusiastically hurrying everyone along as he films them with the handy camera. Taiga wonders if there really is such a thing as a rainbow rhinoceros beetle. Yu guarantees him that there is, as Taiga in turn wonders what a guarantee from Yu actually means.
Shin turns to Louis and asks what just happened. But Louis just replies that they are all looking for a rainbow rhinoceros beetle together. Since Shin seems confused, Yu offers him Kouji’s special lemon and clover honey sports drink to keep him from heat exhaustion.
Just as Shin starts to come to his senses, they all hear a strange noise.
Taiga spots the rainbow rhinoceros beetle and is determined to catch it to prove his manliness to Kazuki once and for all. The others marvel at the beetle when all of a sudden, it begins to rain.
So, they quickly scramble to catch the beetle so they can take cover in the nearby western-style mansion.
The screen distorts…
“The end…?”

Dark and destructive were the words used to describe a witch named Yurim. Banishment was the judgment passed by his own clan and community. Upon his death, Yurim’s still beating heart was transferred into the body of an unsuspecting human. Enter Eun, a well known international musician who suffered from a debilitating heart disease. A transplant was the answer to save his life, however, the complications that followed the surgery left Eun in need of home care. A live-in nurse provided by his record company was tasked with his full recovery. That’s when Eun noticed peculiar changes in himself – Affects on the people and things around, especially when he experienced great emotions, like anger. Was he crazy or worse cursed? Then there was the black dog constantly circling his property in Seoul. All of that was the least of his concern – The nurse who supposed to care for him was actually an assassin sent to end his life by the same coven who banished Yurim many years before Eun’s time.
