Takaba making Kenjaku laugh the same way as when they imagined the merger curse face, just by doing a comedy show with them (no gore or suffering needed) is gonna make me punch a wall. He fulfilled his promise of making them laugh and gave them something just as good as the merger: companionship. Kenjaku doesn't actually need any crazy eldritch experiments to be entertained, their obsession just led them to believe there was no other option and they previously had no one to connect with who could've pointed them in another way. Except Tengen, but she only seemed to make things worse or might even be the cause of all this (maybe not her personally, but definitely the troubled relationship between the two).
#why are they so perfect for each other?!#but well thanks to Yuuta we will never find out if Kenjaku would have actually reconsidered their merger plans#or at least done the merger differently with less civilian casualties#or done something completely different with Tengen#jjk spoilers#jjk 243#takaba fumihiko#kenjaku#takaken

The Hashira React to Their Sister Getting an Inappropriate Uniform
Giyu
You looked down at the uniform you had just been given, not sure you were wanting to show anyone this. You were pretty sure that this wasn't the standard Demon Slayer uniform. Looking embarrassed, you tried to button the shirt, but it wouldn't, leaving your chest exposed. And the skirt felt too short. You had expected a uniform like Giyu's, so you were surprised when you got something completely different.
"Are you done changing?" You heard your brother ask, snapping you out of your thoughts. You panicked, knowing he wouldn't approve of this.
"Uh...y-yeah" you replied, cursing yourself for stuttering. You walked over to the door, knowing your brother would find out eventually. Opening it, Giyu saw what you were wearing and went silent. Though his face looked mostly blank, there was a hint of anger in his eyes.
"Is that the uniform you were given?" He asked, you just nodded.
"What did the person who gave it to you look like?" Came his next question.
"Uh, I don't remember his name, but he had glasses" you explained, feeling nervous. Once again, your brother was silent.
"Take it off, I'll be right back" he said before closing the door. You changed out of the uniform and soon, your brother had come back with one that matched his own. Little did you know that the person who had given it to you was currently in Shinobu's estate being treated for injuries.
Shinobu
"Burn it" was the only thing your sister said when she saw the uniform you had been given. There was still a smile on her face, but the tone of her voice made it easy to tell that she wasn't happy.
"But, isn't this the standard uniform" you asked, looking confused. Shinobu pulled the uniform out of your hands
"Don't worry about it, I'll get you a new one" she spoke before going outside. You followed your older sister, watching as she lit the uniform on fire.
Rengoku
"Uh, are you sure this is the right uniform" you asked as you showed your brother the uniform you had been given. When he saw what you were wearing, you could tell he wasn't happy. Though his expression didn't change, there was something about the look in his eyes that made it obvious he wasn't too happy.
"Who have you that?" He asked, you looked at him confused before answering.
"I don't know, all I remember is that he was wearing glasses." You told him, you watched as your brother stood up.
"I'll be back" he said, and with that he left. He later returned with a different uniform.
Tengen
"Come on, show us your uniform" Hinatsaru encouraged you, you were hesitant however since the uniform wasn't what you had been expecting. The amount of skin it showed made you feel extremely uncomfortable.
"Alright...." You stepped out, showing your brother and his wives your Demon Slayer Uniform. At first, none of them said anything, but after a moment, Makio broke the silence.
"What kind of uniform is that?! That's not inappropriate for you to wear" she shouted.
"Do you remember who gave you that?" Your brother asked you, his voice much calmer,
"um, he had glasses. I don't remember his name." Was your reply, Tengen nodded.
"Stay here, I'll take care of things" with that, your brother left while his wives were still fuming.
Mitsuri
"What kind of uniform is that?! You're way too young!" Mitsuri yelled, looking upset. You were surprised by her reaction since the uniform you had been given was the same one as hers.
"Is something wrong?" Shinobu asked, she happened to be nearby.
"Look at the uniform! She can't wear that" your sister exclaimed,
"Don't worry, I'll get her a new one" the Insect Hashira spoke while Mitsuri pulled you into a protective hug.
Sanemi
"Who the hell gave you that! I'll kill them!!" Your brother shouted, starling you. You winced seeing the angry look on Sanemei's face.
"It was the one I was given, the guy had glasses, I think." You explained, your brother was quiet for a moment as he took a deep breath.
"Take that damn thing, I'll bring you a different one" Sanemi spoke in a much softer tone. You watched him leave, wondering what he had planned.
Obanai
"uhhh....." You waited for your brother to say something, having shown him your Demon Slayer uniform. However, he was silent as he walked out of the room. Confused, you sat there until he returned with a new uniform and an angry look on his face.
Muichiro
"You can't wear that" was the only thing Muichiro spoke in a blunt tone, he scrutinized the uniform you had been given. He noted it was the same one that Mitsuri had been given. And since you were a year younger than him, he wasn't happy.
"But-" you tried to protest, thinking that you had been given the standard Demon Slayer uniform. However, your older brother knew that wasn't true.
"You aren't wearing it, I'll get you a different one" and with that he was gone. When he came back, he had a new uniform for you.
Geyomei
"What kind of uniform is that!" It was Genya who alerted your older brother to the fact that your uniform was less than appropriate for someone your age.
"But I thought this was the standard uniform..."
"It's not! I'm gonna go find the creepy who gave it to you!" Genya started, followed by your older brother. You felt bad for the person who gave you the uniform.

How would Sanemi react to meeting his girlfriend's parents? She's been wanting to introduce Sanemi to her parents for a while now. Thank you so much for always making such wonderful posts,you brighten my day 💚
❕Sanemi meeting your parents for the first time
How will he act?
Note: It’s you! Thank you for requesting again, your asks are very fun to work on. I always recognise you by the green heart <3 I hope you enjoy!
Pairing: Sanemi x fem!reader
— When you asked Sanemi to meet your parents, he was horrified. He knows that his rude personality is not for everyone, and his intimidating looks don’t make that fact any better. On the surface, he gives the impression of a shithead. That would probably give your parents a bad taste in their mouth when thinking about their girl being with a man like him.
— Although, he noticed how excited and happy you seemed when the day of approached, while Sanemi dreaded meeting your mother and father. He already tried planning everything out in his head, what to say and do and how to act. He’s so incredibly nervous, he wants to leave a good impression desperately so that he can later get the for permission to marry you.
— Sanemi only noticed now that the only clothing articles he owns are demon slayer uniforms. No haoris, no yukatas or hakama pants. He didn’t want to show up at your parent’s house dressed in a uniform and wearing his haori where the word “kill” is depicted.
— So, he borrowed a yukata from Tengen. Surprisingly, he had something in his size wich wasn’t completely colourful or an eye-sore. He picked out something with a darker green-blue tone and a simple wind pattern. This should do, he thinks.
— Also, he bought some make up to cover his his scars on his face. His first attempt at make up looked like Sanemi drew on random patches of colour onto his face. You had to wipe it off his face and apply it for him, making it look more natural. Seeing Sanemi without his face scars is weird, but not too bad. He looks softer and a little less scary (even though you really liked his scars. They look like perfect areas to put kisses on).
— Sanemi decided to leave the scars on his arms and just simply cover them up with his sleeves. After a good night’s of sleep, the redness in his eyes faded slightly, making him look less stressed and more relaxed. Sanemi looked so different from before, almost like a new person. You didn’t like how much he was trying to change himself just to leave a good impression on your parents, but if he insists on doing this, then you won’t stop him. You reapplied the make up for him before you two head out, giving him encouraging words and comforting touches.
— He even bought a gift for your parents! Sanemi chose the most expensive sake he could find and brought it to your parents. He didn’t know if they even drink or like alcohol (He hoped not, given how much he despised people who drank alcohol).
— After arriving at your parent’s house and sitting down to eat, you noticed how quiet Sanemi has gotten. He’s giving out short responses to questions and just thanks them quietly for inviting him. You could tell how nervous he was.
— Sanemi thought that if he just stays quiet and barely says anything, there’s less of a chance to come off as rude or cold.
— Your parents thought that Sanemi was a bit of an odd person. He’s being very quiet and refuses to elaborate on what he does for work and how he could afford this sake, but otherwise, he seems nice. They saw the way Sanemi glances at you every now and then and the lovesick gaze he is, and hos much his pupils dilated. They noticed how hard Sanemi tried to give off a good impression and acknowledged his efforts. Overall, he’s not too bad. As long as you seem happy and Sanemi is treating you right, they think.
— Back in your shared home, Sanemi washed off all the make-up and sweat, letting out one of the biggest breathers he held in the whole time. This was, somehow, one of the most nerve-racking things he has ever done.
“I fuckin’ hope they like me. I want to marry their daughter and need their for that blessing… What? You didn’t think I’d want to marry you? Don’t give me that. You know how much I love ya.”
💠
Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed.
Anyways, make sure to EAT, SLEEP and DRINK enough.
Take care of yourselves!

why sanegiyuu DOES make sense
woo another analysis
Both sanemi and giyuu are complex characters, and both of them did play off each other in crucial ways for their character development, their dynamic is complicated and much more then ‘they hate each other’ because in fact sanemi was the only one hated giyuu, giyuu didn’t hate sanemi. And that was due to a misunderstanding. Let’s start with giyuu, we already know that giyuu had a lot of mental issues during the time of the anime, tanjiro helping giyuu with that was a major part of his development and it’s what leads us to how sanemi affects giyuu’s character. After tanjiro causes him to acknowledge that he actually does have worth, he allowed himself to think about making another connection with another person, something giyuu did want.
Out of all the people giyuu could choose he decided on sanemi, most likely due to sanemi’s similarities to sabito giving giyuu a sense of familiarity. Giyuu never tried to hide that he wanted a connection, he shows it, picturing him giving sanemi ohagi and him talking about it with tanjiro. With sanemi, sanemi is pretty much the polar opposite, sanemi made up a entire life plan as a coping mechanism, ignoring reality and causing him to do very harsh things and that it’s itself is a delusion. He is genuinely harsh to anyone that reminds him of himself, tanjiro, genya and of course giyuu.
the people that sanemi did feel calm around didn’t remind him of himself, instead family, for example masachika and especially kanae. Sanemi acknowledged kanae was very different from himself, she was an older sibling too, but she was kind, even towards demons, just like how shizu (sanemi’s mother) was kind to kyogo (their father). Every parallel between sanemi and kanae was linked to his mother and how much he missed her. Kanae pacified sanemi for a while, though in the long term sanemi did not need that type of comfort, he needed a full on slap to the face, to bring him back to reality. he needed a slap, and trusted support so he wouldn’t completely loose it.
like i mentioned earlier sanemi did hate giyuu, but it was due to a misunderstanding. During the hashira meeting giyuu walked out, saying he wasn’t like the rest of the hashira. Giyuu meant to say that he didn’t deserve to be a hashira but sanemi misunderstood. Sanemi couldn’t fathom why someone would be so vulnerable openly, he didn’t even think for a second giyuu could think he was inferior because sanemi himself would rather die then be that vulnerable. Causing their miscommunication.
giyuu also needed a slap and he received multiple, one of them being physical, and that one is of course sabitos, after his sister died, which is what caused giyuu to get so attached to him in the first place.The second one was tanjiro, when he helped giyuu open up. Lastly the final one was sanemi during the final battle when giyuu got saved by obanai, and sanemi yelled at him “don’t space out now or i’ll murder your ass” which caused giyuu to acknowledge that he was indeed the water hashira, and then they slammed their blades together.
Although sanemi did have a positive influence on giyuu, it’s worth pointing out that giyuu had a positive influence on sanemi too. Because sanemi did get the well needed slap back to reality when genya died. His delusion broke into pieces. He needed support after the final battle, and giyuu was there to give him that support.
They were alone together after the corps defeated muzan, and they had so much in common. They could truely understand each other causing them to be vulnerable with another person, something they hadn’t done in years. The proof relies in the fact they were eating together, of their own free will. Tengen was close with them at the end of the manga but tengen wasn’t there, Because that panel was about sanemi and giyuu and their bond, there wasn’t a need for words because it was shown. Sanemi and giyuu thrived for the first time in forever, that in itself creates romantic chemistry. Their friendship was meaningful because they had so much in common, they could understand what the other was going through because they’d gone through the same thing.

A Lovers' Circle (Poly Haishira x Reader) Ch6 Date Weekend: Saturday
(Warning for some nudity mentioned in the boys part but absolutely nothing rude or nsfw!! Also it's cannon Hinatsuru and Makio can cook like really good in Kimetsu Gauken and Mitsuri.knows ballet from what we saw in s4 with flexibility training. My own headcannons are being slapped into here! AND NO ONE CAN STOP ME!)
Taglist: @shadyd3ar @jcrml @tengensangel
@miniverse-zen
Remember if you want to be added to the taglist lemme know
The colorful assortment of delightful sweets filled the eyes with childlike wonder. Cream and icing. Glaze and powdered sugar. Milky chocolate and sweet vanilla. All of which melted in the mouth and shook the senses with sweet dreams of sugary delight.
In in Mitsuri's case starting to stock up on food.
You sat down at the table with the other girls after the fun game of push ups. Taking your time to look around at the big but nice looking kitchen. Kyojuro must've had a good paying job if he could afford this. The nicely furnished space had pretty much a top of the line appliance set up complete with a nicely polished giant cherry wood table. Of which was stuffed to the brim with food. Three boxes of extra large pizzas took up the far left right corner, next to it was a box of hot wings, and a few six packs of different sodas and what was left of the canned coffee after Sanemi ravished through Obinai's gift. Two pink boxes filled up with day old sweets like donuts and mini cakes, what was left of the ohagi you made, and a few burgers Giyuu picked up. And a small pot of something you couldn't make out but it smelt like beef broth. Maybe a beef soup or hot pot?
It certainly was a lot of food but considering how many people there and how big Gyomei and Tengen were.
"Let me get you some food," Hinatsuru offered gesturing to the boxes of pizza stacked on the table. "We have pizza, burgers, cake- What would you like?"
A hand held up to her. "Oh no. It's ok. I can get it myself."
"Nonsense. You're our guest so I'll get it for you."
"Well alright then. Some pizza please."
"Sure! Pepperoni, sausage and mushroom, or meatlovers?" Hinatsuru was already shuffling towards the boxes Mitsuri was already rummaging through.
"Pepperoni is fine. Thank you!'
You only smiled politely as the others say down or most of them grabbed ahold of whatever food was available for them, but you noticed only one of them had a tray instead of a plate. Mitsuri had taken out a large tray, the kind you'd use to carry breakfast in bed to someone, and just started piling on food after food item onto it. There must've been at least two or three slices of every kind of pizza they had, three small cakes you could make out including a fourth one just added to it, a few burgers peeking out from just under the pizza, and right now her main target was the pot.
The smells of beef filled the air with a snack of her lips looking inside excitedly. Producing a bowl from no where she proceeded to just scoop out boiled eggs, mushrooms, chunks of beef- Oh. So someone did bring a hot pot. But she wasn't done yet. She practically pulled two bottles of the soda to herself as a can of coffee got caught up also in her grasp and your poor ohagi was her next victims. Three ending up on top of their fallen pizza brethren. She plopped down right across from you as you continued to stare wide eyed. You didn't even notice Hinatsuru placing down a plate and cup of more soda in front of you.
"Here you go!" She smiled at you but slowly blinked noticing your wide eyed surprised look. "Miss Y/n?" Her face followed your direction and froze as she and everyone else saw the massive pile of food Mitsuri had in front of her and the fact that she was already shoveling a whole mini strawberry shortcake into her mouth. "M-Mitsuri!"
"Hm?"
She happily looked up at the half horrified half worried faces around her, cheeks puffed up like a chipmunks. Huh? What was with those looks? She made sure not to take everything this time. It was only when green orbs caught the state of the girl in front of her. It was then that the before mentioned talk about everyone being on their best behavior and ensuring that they made a good first impression for Gyomei punched her brain in the memory bank. She sat there quietly and wide eyed, cheeks puffed up, and some strawberry syrup on her chin. Somewhere to the far right Makio groaned and facepalmed loud enough to a smack sound to be heard.
You blinked and that motion seemed to spur Mitsuri's panic as she quickly swallowed and held up her hands. "Um- Uh- ...HEY! No one touch this food!" She nervously laughed before pushing the tray away from her nervously smiling self to the middle of the table, a few boxes getting pushed aside as she did so. "Y-You know that I-..Uh! I-I always make sure there's a nice healthy serving out aside for the guys! Haha! Hmm!" She tapped her chin in thought glaring at the stacked up tray in pretend scrutiny. "Yep! Th-This will definitely be enough for all of them! Haha!"
She froze as a couple hot wings wobbled and fell lower on the pile of food she had created. Someone mumbled a 'nice save' somewhere as your eyes slowly looked away from her and down at the pile of food in front of everyone... before your face scrunched up into a funny looking face before you opened your mouth and-..
Started to laugh??
A series of giggles enveloped from her mouth and a hand reached out to cover those giggles to no avail as everyone stared at her.
"....Ok. Did we already break her or is she making fun of us?"
Your head shook as a hand waved. "N-No. It's just that-..Well, It's nice you're all going through all this effort to make me comfortable but Gyomei's already mentioned about this." To her surprise the tray was slid back over in front of Mitsuri who looked widely at you. "As I said before I want you all to be yourselves around me since I genuinely want to meet Gyomei's friends, so please don't hesitate to eat."
Mitsuri stared stunned by your smile, looking you up and down.... before just smiling back to her food and a second later she literally bit a burger clean in half as she hummed contently. Her happy face and bloated cheeks made more giggles escape her mouth.
"That's quite the appetite you have there," you pointed out without being rude, "Do you like sweet, savoury, or spicy things better?"
She swallowed what was left of her first burger quickly before answering. "SWEETS! But I don't mind others things either! Bitter and sour things are good too if you make them right!" As if to hammer home her point, she practically devoured an entire hot sauce covered chicken leg minus the bone. The hotness didn't even seem to bother her because a slice of blueberry cheesecake was next. "Shoo yummy!~" She gushed between snacking.
Despite it you still smiled at her completely unfazed. Her eating was fast and not normal by any normal person's standards but unlike Jake's she wasn't rude about it at all. She wasn't chewing loudly or open mouthed, she didn't try to hog everything, and she DEFINITELY wasn't trying to get anyone's else's foods or getting food anywhere. ..Well except for the traces of said food on her mouth which you handed over a couple napkins she thanked you for. The others seemed completely unfazed by her appetite so this was probably a usual occurrence for them.
"So you aren't like grossed out or anything by..?" Makio gestured towards the pink haired girl like it was obvious.
"Not really. Why would I be?" You shrugged before picking up a piece of your own pizza. "She's not being rude about it so why should I care? Although I am a bit surprised at how much she eats. When Gyomei told she she had a big appetite I wasn't expecting it to be so literally. Not that it's a bad thing of course!"
Surprised looks land silence was what everyone gave you minus Mitsuri still eating the quickly shrinking pile of food. Eventually Shinobu broke the silence with her brows raised high.
"Holy shit...Gyomei found a dam unicorn!"
"Shinobu!"
"He did.' shinobu rolled her eyes at her sister's scowl. "She said to be ourselves around her right? How is she supposed to know us if we aren't?'
"But the cussing? Really? First Nemi and now you."
"I really don't mind," you smiled at her. "I'm not offended at all. Really."
Kanae blinked but frowned at Shinobu's wide smile.
"Subject change!" The blue eyed girl, Suma if you remembered right, shot up a hand and waved around her full arm. "This entire thing was to get to know her better! So let's do that instead!"
"Good idea, Suma!" She quickly changed the entire subject probably to avoid any awkwardness. "So. Y/n, how did you meet Gyomei? He told us briefly but I don't think he explained the entire thing."
You paused a moment staring off into nothing. You smile had turned to a thin line and you turned to her so slowly that she thought she might've said something to offend you. "....Have you ever had a really bad date?"
Her pink eyes blinked. "I-...Well, it did rain once when I was on a double date with Kyo and Makio. We didn't get to do anything we planned."
"Oh. Well trust me. You haven't heard nothing yet. Let me tell you EXACTLY how I met the most kindest man of my life...after meeting the worst most vile human. It all started when this rat's parents paid my Auntie to set him up on a date. She's a REALLY good matchmaker you know and that's why they paid her and she needed the extra money because her car broke down, so she asked me to go out with him. I figured it was just a free dinner so what did I have to lose? BOY was I surprised!"
You told them the entire story. Starting from the very beginning from before you even met Jake the Snake to how he late he was to how Gyomei.actually noticed you first to how he acted and on and on. Most looked on in pity or disgust but Shinobu never lost that small smile. You nearly lost your appetite again remembering that night but the memory of Gyomei's smiling helpful being brightened up your entire outlook.
"So one thing led to another and we ended up going on a coffee date." You shrugged drinking a little bit of the soda Hinatsuru was nice enough to get you.
"That's so mean! How could a man be so cruel and rude?!," Mitsuri loudly protested.
You shrugged again. "Spoiled too much by his parents I guess. But that's all in the past now." You smiled Brightly. "Gyomei is much more better than most of the men I've dated. Tonight is our third date actually."
"AW!! THAT'S SO SWEET! IT'S LIKE YOU BOTH MET OUTTA A FAIRYTALE!!"
"How did you guys meet anyways?" You were curious about how these people met and got together especially when they were all polyamourus. You've never heard of twelve people in a relationship before but you guessed there was a first time for everything.
"Most of us are actually childhood friends and we met way back in elementary school!," Suma piped up and bit down into a pizza slice.
"Yeah..most of them. A few of us didn't meet until like nearly graduated from highschool..." Makio shrugged. "But it is what it is."
"That reminds me. How did you three end up marrying Mr. Uzui? I've heard of having more than one partner but this is the first time I've ever seen someone be married to three people at once before. Um..no offense."
"None taken." Makio waved you off with a bored look to her face. "It was arranged between our parents a long time ago, I don't think Tengen's old man was too happy at the idea of him dating Kyo back in highschool and decided to give him a few beautiful ladies to change his mind."
"Oh that's awful." A hand covered your mouth. "I'm so sorry."
"Don't be. It all worked out in the end."
"Really? He just agreed to it?"
"Yeah. He figured just going through with it would be easier, and we all got married right out of highschool..." Her gaze looked far away from the table as if gazing of into nothing. "..You know he offered all of us to divorce the day after? Said he wasn't going to force any of us to stay if we didn't want to."
Your brow rose at her. "But..you didn't?"
"No. I could've though. I could've divorced him and then left. Maybe I'd be somewhere studying something like cooking or maybe I'd be married again to a really, really handsome rich guy who's a renowned millionaire complete with little kids and a nice big dog. ...I could've had that, or I could stay with a guy who's 'flamboyant' butt cried when I said I loved him for the first time."
"Aw!" She was lightly surprised when you gushed. "Did he really cry?"
"Oh yes. I remember that." Hinatsuru finally got a cheeky look on her face looking at her other wives. "You two remember that right? He was so worried that Kyo would be mad at him for falling for us and he was so scared that we hated him from the start that he cried for a whole hour."
"I REMEMBER THAT!! HE'S SO CUTE!!"
"Yeah. Besides, where else are we gonna get a free portrait?"
Her joke wasn't lost on you either and a giggle escaped you. So they all grew up together? That's a cute love story! Well you guessed minus Tengan's wives who everyone met in highschool technically but you still were curious about one thing in particular.
"I do hope you don't mind me asking this but I'm curious about something," you slowly spoke catching most everyone's attention other than Mitsuri who was almost done with her giant tray. "If you don't want to answer it's fine, but how did you all.. Y'know. Well-.." You were trying to try to find a way to word it without sounding rude. So you made a half circle motion around the table gesturing to everyone.
"Find out we were all poly?," Kanae asked answering you.
"YYYes. I'm sorry if that's a sensitive topic."
She shook her head, pretty hair swaying. "Not at all. You've been nothing but respectful this entire time and honestly you're one of the few people who didn't make it weird." She shrugged her shoulders holding up her hands. "To be perfectly honest with you, it just sort of happened. Mitsuri used to date my sister back in middle school but they broke up and then she started dating Sanemi-" She gestured to Mitsuri. "-and she dated Obanai for a little bit before we all just shifted to who we wanted to have our main love be!"
"Oh..I see. So how did the whole main partner thing was figured out?"
"Simple. While I love all my partners, Sanemi is the only one I want to officially marry and start a family with." Her head tilted at you with a worried brow. "Do you think that's strange?"
A him escaped her throat as her eyes glanced over in thought. "...Well I can't say no because I guess to someone like me who isn't in a relationship like yours it would be weird. But-" orbs looked directly back to her pink ones. "I can't really judge you. Mostly because your relationship isn't any of my business so I shouldn't stick my nose where it doesn't belong, but also because it's really incredible."
"Hm?" Pink eyes blinked confused. "Incredible how so?"
"You guys have the healthiest relationship I've ever seen!"
Kanae. Blinked. "What?"
You nodded. "I mean I've seen arguments but if-.. Sanemi, I think was his name, really wanted to punish Tengen I think he would've punched him square in the face. But it just looked like one big couples fight to me..Not the really bad kind but I don't think-" You stopped seeing everyone stared at you again. "Um..Was it something I said?"
"I told you. A dam unicorn."
Kanae shot her sister another glare before sighing. "Well to answer your question, we really just sorta melded together once we realized that there was more than mutual feelings. It took some time for everyone to come to terms with it especially Nemi and Obi but it works out for us."
"And your families?"
Clink-
You blinked as Hinatsuru suddenly placed her fork down and went quiet, a sad look suddenly found on her face making you blink and then noticed that everyone else had similar looks either looking away uncomfortable or sad. Mitsuri's eating had also ceased leaving her holding up an empty burger wrapper. Eventually Shinobu sighed.
"Some of our families have...Not been very nice hearing about it let's just say. My folks for example were pretty shocked but now they're the most supportive people on the planet. However... People like Tengen's dad or Obinai's family.." A grimace and 'yeesh' sound escaped her. "You'd think a guy who's entire family was mostly women wouldn't care if he dated girls-'
"I think I get the picture." You politely held up your hand and looked around feeling suddenly guilty about the mood dropping. "...You guys said you're studying to become teachers right?" You perked back up and changing the subject to a lighter tone. "What kind of subject do you want to teach, Mitsuri?" You asked the most cheerful person hopefully her bright happy attitude would help the situation.
Like you hoped she immediately lit up in a smile. "DANCE! Specifically ballet!"
"I didn't know you knew ballet!"
She nodded. "Mm hm! I love it!"
"And what about you two?"
"I'm focusing on biology and Shinobu is taking classes for becoming a health teacher," Kanae answered with a new smile.
"Hina n' I are working through the thought of culinary schooling."
"OH! OH! I WANNA BE A PRESCHOOL TEACHER!!'
"You'd certainly fit right in."
"Makio! Don't be so mean to me!"
"Guys please."
You couldn't help but giggle at the lot of them in the end and went back to eating your pizza and waiting for Gyomei's return.
"Hey. We're all going to the beach tomorrow!" You paused mid bite of your pizza before looking at Mitsuri who smiled widely and hopefully at you. "It's one of the few times we can go before it gets too cold. Why don't you come with us?"
"Oh. I'd really like to..but I can't." Your hand was held up. "I have a project to take care of before I can turn it in Monday and I have to clean. But I appreciate the offer. Are you guys going out the entire weekend together?"
"Oh absolutely! Tonight's just a big sleepover with a movie!" Mitsuri started quickly motioning with her hands with excitement. "Then tomorrow we're going to spend all day on the beach together and then Sunday it's just gonna be the boys hanging out with each other and we're all going SHOPPING!~" She sang out that last part throwing up her hands. "And then we're gonna go to the spa and get massages, and have our nails done and a whole bunch of stuff between those things! Then we're all going to meet up with the boys for a sauna and public hot springs!" She then gasped hands smacking her cheeks. "OH MY GOSH!! YOU SHOULD TOTALLY COME WITH US!!"
You blinked leaning back a little bit. "What?"
"ARE YOU BUSY SUNDAY?! IT'S PERFECT!! YOU CAN COME WITH US AND WE ALL CAN HAVE FUN TOGETHER!"
"I don't want to intrude on your guys' date and besides as much as I would like to, I'd only be a third wheel for the entire thing. On top of that I don't have much money for me to spend."
"Uh.. Didn't Gyomei literally win you three hundred fifty dollars?"
You paused staring at them blinking.
"THAT'S RIGHT! You can totally still come with us then! Please say you will! You really didn't get a chance to really meet the guys yet and I promise it'll be so much fun!"
"Well I -.." You let out a light sigh. "Well I guess so. It might be fun."
"Oh this is going to be so much fun! I can't wait for you to see my favorite cat cafe! I'm sure the guys are just as excited!"
"You think so?"
"Absolutely! Why I bet they're thinking of fun things to do together right now!"
SMACK-
"OW! WHAT THE HELL, SANEMI?!"
Warmth spread off the tiles lining up the walls and floors. Most rising to coat their bodies like fog which was probably a good thing considering that most of them were completely in the nu- A loud smack loud disturbed the peaceful sounds of running shower heads and scents of men's brand soap and shampoo. The snack itself stopped Obanai from helping Gyomei get his back and the blind man tilt his head-
Buuuutt the very girly sounding squeal that left Tengen's throat had caused the rest of them to peer over. A stinging sensation throbbed from the side of Tengen's behind from where he was struck by something fast, and instinctively his hand clutched onto the now reddened skin. Magenta eyes narrowed with a snap of his neck and immediately found the culprit with a wet wring up towel in his hands.
"OW! WHAT THE HELL, SANEMI?!", Tengen's voice angrily echoed off the walls.
The smaller white haired man gave Tengen one of those evil grins he always gave when annoyed and his fists squeezed around the towel harder making it creak in her hands. "Consider it payback for the stunt you pulled! I would've won if you hadn't distracted me!"
"Oh please. I would've won if you hadn't twisted the rules and tricked my wife." Tengen hissed rubbing at his bottom. "Fuck that hurt. Y'know if you wanted to smack my butt that badly-"
"SHUT UP YOU SHINY MEATBALL!!"
"Are those two still going on about that? I thought we all agreed Gyomei won fair and square."
Gyomei only sighed at Giyuu's words deciding not to engage with the argument other than shaking his head and sinking further down into the tub of comforting warm water. Those two would normally fight like cats and dogs if it wasn't with Obinai. He knew the routine of these fights. They'd be angry anywhere between a few hours to a day and then either forget about it or make up somehow. Even if the current cussing at one another over 'distracting him and making him lose' or 'sanemi didn't have to attack him with a towel' was starting to give him a bit of anxiety. He sure hoped they weren't loud enough for the girls to hear them.
"YOU WANT TO KISS ME SO BAD IT MAKES YOU LOOK STUPID!!"
"STOP BEING SO FUCKING PRETTY!!..PETTY!! I MEANT PETTY!!"
"Uh huh. Sure.~"
"RRRRRRAAHH!! FUCKING STOP IT!!"
"THEN MAKE ME, SHINAZUGAWA!!"
There was a small silence other than the sounds of the others ignoring their friends' usually arguments and continuing to finish up and then sounds of running water...but after a moment of nothing his head did turn in question towards the nearest person.
"Are they quite finished?"
"Yep. They're hate kissing again."
Even though he couldn't see Obinai, he knew the man was rolling his eyes. "I see. Well at least perhaps now they'll stop clawing at one another's throats." Water rippled in his wake as he moved to stand back up. "And I have to be seeing off Y/n soon. It's very impolite to keep her waiting for me on a date twice on a date."
"Relax, Mei. You brought her here for the sole purpose of meeting us. Let her get to know them. I'm sure Mitsuri's already talking about her cats or Suma's talking her head off. She'll be fine."
"Well..I should at least make sure it's going well."
"*sigh* If you say so. And will you two get a room?!"
Sanemi's answer was to chuck the clean but wet towel he had been holding and expertly nailing Obanai in the face without even looking up from where he was gripping Tengen's head to make him lean down enough to kiss. A loud smack sound again echoed beside him and a moment later Obanai fell into the tub with a splash. ...Gyomei only groaned rubbing his face.

Continuing with the series of Platonic Yandere Kenjaku, the user @thecuriousquest give me the idea for this Drabble(thank You again sweetie!)
And kind of the Manga itself
What would happen to (Child Reader) when/if Kenjaku get them Back?
Spoiler, NOTHING GOOD
First of all, when will this happen? probably in the Culling Game arc, when Choso and Yuki have to take care of Tengen so that Kenjaku doesn't go after him.
(Child Reader) in order not to be kidnapped again they would have to stay with Itadori and Megumi (and in this case the twins), but let's say that is not the case, they decide that it would be better for them to stay with Tengen, Yuki and Choso (since They know the latter very well and are confident that Yuki could against Kenjaku).
but it's not like that.
Kenjaku manages to defeat--kill Yuki and Choso is too wasted by the fight to do anything as he absorbs Tengen and takes (Child Reader).
The child cries, kicks, screams for someone to help them, to save them, they curse Kenjaku with everything they have, but far from seeming upset, he seems amused. They still have spirit, he loves it.
He wonders, will they still have that spirit when he's done with them? He'll find out soon!
Now, although Kenjaku's first punishment was "physical" he goes more with the Psychological side when it comes to (Child Reader), more because now he has a lot of ammunition to shoot. (Child Reader) is completely alone, and he makes them get that into their heads, that no one will come for them now that he has Tengen by his side, that they have abandoned them.
all this while giving him a hug so tight that it nearly suffocates them. Yes, it sounds weird, but he really miss them, maybe that's why he don't want to apply physical punishment in the first place.
but if (Child Reader) keeps pressing the wrong buttons, I can see him doing something like putting them into his inventory (yep, the same inventory full of monsters and first-grade curses that could perfectly leave them limbless), he'd be waiting a couple of minutes (maybe 15) and then would pull them out like they were a rabbit from a magic trick (the poor thing would be ten times worse than the first time he used curses against them, with blood, bruises and tears in their face) and ask them if they are ready to behave.
but (child Reader) pouts and just....shuts up. They don't make a noise. Oh? the law of ice? It's okay, Kenjaku can make them talk in other ways.
He proceeds to put them in the inventory a couple more times, alternating the time from a few minutes to longer, each time the child is worse, but they continue doing nothing to talk to him. Kenjaku is very surprised by the child's durability and stubbornness, even amused, but a part of him is worried about accidentally killing (child Reader), so after a while, when the child is barely conscious, he asks them what they want in exchange for talking.
and surprisingly (Child Reader) responds.
they want Kenjakj to be completely honest with them. nothing else. and he wants it to be a deal (that is, one that he is obliged to comply with).
Kenjaku is surprised that the boy is so smart, but accepts. He also takes advantage of several opportunities to not tell him certain information (they never said that he couldn't stay silent instead of answering).
This ends up being a double-edged sword for (child reader).
because on the one hand Kenjaku doesn't lie to them about what he's doing or what's on his mind, which helps them be prepared. but it also scares them away on several occasions.
What I mean by this? that Kenjaku can either say very Wholesome things when Child Reader asks him or very, very shady, creepy things.
For example, once Kenjaku said that he couldn't wait to introduce (Child Reader) into his future plans, when the child asked him what he meant, he gave him a very...creepy answer.
"...it's different depending on the day...sometimes I imagine what you'll look like when you grow up, yes, into a big, strong adult......and other times I just think about how I'll turn you into a Cursed object! That way you would stay cute, small and with me forever! Wouldn't that be wonderful?"
This, along with the horrible inventory experience, only makes the child fear him even more.
He will use the indirect threat of the Inventory every time (Child Reader) is doing something even remotely suspicious. but it's not even the worst, The worst thing is that when Kenjaku decides that the Culling Games have to end with everyone dying, he brings (Child Reader) with him. EVEN WHEN HE KILLS THE PARTICIPANTS.
He says that this way he is preventing (Child Reader) from escaping again, but he also wants to scare them even more from him so that they understand that there is no WAY for them to escape. the BASTARD is so sinic that he even says that it could be considered father and child time while the poor child cries because oh my god he blew that woman's head off--
If the child wants to look away, he might give them his cell phone, although - well, it's not much better (those who saw chapter 239 know what I mean).
BUT THEN A RAY OF HOPE APPEARS--something like that--TAKABA.
To be honest, after several days/weeks of being with Kenjaku and with all the recent trauma, (Child Reader) does not want to see another participant die, he begs Takaba to leave quickly, to run! because Kenjaku is going to kill him! The kid is already crying thinking about everything that SINGLE DAY has had to do with him.
Then Kenjaku launches an attack, one that hits him STRAIGHT, and the kid falls apart as Kenjaku carries them around like a soccer ball, telling them that if they stop crying they can have some candy--
AND THEN TAKABA COMES OUT UNHARM!! and insulting Kenjaku saying that he could have killed him and that he will put him in jail 🤣
THIS
THIS IS BEAUTIFULL
Takaba would be also scold him for make cry the poor (child Reader) "YOU EVEN MAKE THE CHILD CRY! HOW DARE YOU, YOU'RE SO MEAN!"
(child Reader) is as shocked as Kenjaku, but for the first time in a long time they feel like they have a slim chance, if Takaba can give them enough time, maybe, just maybe they can escape and find help.
maybe even use the beam up their sleeve they've been saving.
but Kenjaku will not lose easily and they know it, it will remain to be seen who plays their cards better...
Any ask or suggestion for this Series is welcome!

— THAT ONE TIME HE SENT YOU A LETTER
# sanemi shinazugawa
tags : gn!reader, fluff, the bold parts are tengen’s comments!!! 500 words, not proofread bc i can’t read my own shit lol.
a/n : i told ya i was gonna write something about sanemi not being able to write, but it turned out completely different. anyway, i hope you guys enjoy it anyway <3
dear sanemi,
we finally reached the village. we’re waiting for the night, so we can get the job done. i’m sure it’s not a strong demon, after all he hurt just a couple of villagers and they’re alright now, thankfully.
anyway, uzui-san is very fast! i can barely keep up with him, but he’s of good company. i discovered his wives prepared a bento for me too, and it was my favourite food too! i was so happy while eating it, but don’t worry, your ohagi are still in my top three.
the young slayers with us are pretty good, so stop saying they’re all useless and stupid, please. they’re all doing their best and they will get stronger and better at fighting. i know that for sure.
that was all for now. i’m looking forward to see you again, i’m sure the mission will be over soon. after all, there’s a pillar with us.
— your [y/n]
sanemi catches himself smiling at your letter. he wants to go on missions with you too, but he is happy whenever he receives your letters.
although he could never answer.
“sorai,” sanemi calls for his crow and gives him a little bag, with some of your favourite sweets. “take this to [y/n], make sure it is delivered with care,” he asks as he pats his crow gently.
that’s his way to answer you. you send letters, sanemi sends gifts. always.
when he’s the one away on missions, he makes sure to send you special gifts, like accessories or simply food. and he waits patiently for your letters.
he keeps them all, secured in a drawer. he usually kisses the letter and then puts it away, going sitting back on the engawa, staring up at the sky.
─────────────────────
dear [y/n],
it’s uzui writing! but it’s sanemi dictating, hah!
me, uzui and tomioka are almost there, the village is close i believe. so is the demon. he’s talking about the way he’s gonna cut his head off but we both know it’s boring so i won’t tell you all that.
i bought you some sweets, i know you really like them. the lady said it was special, some shit about love… i don’t know.
what the hell …
i’m sorry i can’t write to you, personally, but i promise that once this is all over you can teach me properly. yeah, because the wind doesn’t have time to learn how to write at the moment.
i can’t wait to come back home to you, i miss you a lot. take care darling, i promise to be quick.
— your ‘nemi.
“you know i can read, right?” he stares at tengen, who’s eating his food acting innocently. “i don’t know what you’re talking about, man. here, tomioka, take it,” he pushes a bento to the water hashira, who quietly accepts it while murmuring a thank you.
sanemi draws a little dog on the back before giving it to sorai, ordering him to deliver it to you.
needless to say, you’re so excited to see sorai delivering a letter that you starts crying even before reading it, and after that, you hug it close to your chest.
reblogs & comments are super appreciated! thank you for taking your time reading it, i hope you enjoyed it. have a good day / night <3

Demon Slayer Advent Calendar | Day Eleven | Tengen x Reader | The christmas market
Written by @lupina36
~~~
"Wow, it's beautiful," you heard Suma gush as she admired with sparkling eyes the countless strings of colorful lights that lined your path through the city's annual Christmas market. The sun had long since disappeared behind the horizon, but the streets were still packed with people.
All sorts of different smells and sounds hit you from everywhere. Christmas carols, cheerful laughter, roasted almonds, cinnamon and even something alcoholic. A small sigh escaped your throat. You weren't really a fan of such gatherings of people. You were much more the type of person who liked to retreat to your room for a few hours with a good book, but Suma, Makio and Hinatsuru had really wanted to go to the Christmas market and you had finally been persuaded by them to come along too.
Now you were standing here amidst the cheers, hustle and bustle and general merriment, trying to put on a happy face, but somehow not quite succeeding.
"We won't be staying long," Hinatsuru had told you. You just nodded and tried to go along with it.
Easier said than done. After a short time, you began to feel more and more uncomfortable and would have liked to just go home, but you didn't want to be a spoilsport. After all, it wasn't often that the four of you were able to do something together with your husband, Tengen Uzui, the pillar of sound. This little trip to the Christmas market was one of those rare occasions. There was no mission to complete today, which is why Tengen had decided to devote himself entirely to his four wives for once. Tengen was a caring man who cared about each of his wives, which was why he had immediately agreed when Hinatsuru suggested going to the local Christmas market together. Now you were all here and everyone was having a great time. Everyone except you!
It was all getting a bit too much for you and you longed for the peace and comfort of your home.
You were more of a loner and it was almost a miracle that you were married to a man who had three other wives besides you. You liked each and every one of them very much. They were your family. Nevertheless, there were still moments when you preferred to keep to yourself. The others respected that, for which you liked them even more.
You were so lost in thought that you didn't even notice how the others were gradually moving away from you, before you knew it you were suddenly alone in the dense crowd.
You quickly tried to keep an eye out for the others, but they had probably already moved on, because you couldn't see them anywhere.
You couldn't even see the tall figure of your husband anymore and he was really hard to miss. Finally you gave up and decided to just stay put until they came looking for you. That was one of the things you had been taught as a child, if you got lost in a crowd, to always stay where you were lost because there was a better chance of finding yourself again faster than if you were on the move.
You spotted a small snack stand not far from you and decided to wait there without further ado. After all, you were hungry and there didn't seem to be much going on there anyway. There were only two men sitting at the tables and drinking from small ceramic mugs.
When you arrived at the stall, you realized that there didn't seem to be anything edible here, but mainly alcoholic drinks such as mulled wine and hot chocolate with a shot.
Since you wanted to have at least something in your stomach, you ordered a cocoa, but without the extra shot of alcohol. For the life of you, you couldn't imagine that something like that would taste good. You sat down at a table a little away from the others and sipped your cocoa from time to time while watching the hustle and bustle around you. "Well, what have we got here?"
A disgusting mixture of alcohol, sweat and something greasy got up your nose and made you grimace. A man in his forties with thinning hair and a three-day beard suddenly grinned directly into your face. You ignored him and continued sipping your cocoa.
"What's a pretty thing like you doing out here all alone?" he asked you, blowing his fierce flag in your face again. It was obvious that he had already had a few drinks.
You almost replied that you weren't alone, but that wasn't the case at the moment, so you kept quiet for the time being.
But that didn't seem to bother the guy. He continued to talk at you while he looked at your body with a clearly lustful gaze. You were starting to feel uncomfortable and you were about to tell him to get lost when he suddenly said. "I like you. What do you want for an hour?"
You stared at the man in front of you, completely dumbfounded. Did he seriously think you were a prostitute? That couldn't be true! Well, like all of Tengen's women, you had a pretty ample cleavage, but you'd never been mistaken for a prostitute before. On the other hand, the guy had already had a fair amount of alcohol, so there was probably no point in making a slug of him for asking you such a question.
Instead, you just took your cocoa and turned to leave.
Suddenly, you were grabbed from behind and dragged towards a small side alley, which was apparently very close to the drinks stand.
Thanks to your kunoichi skills, you quickly managed to free yourself from the stranger's grip and keep your distance from your opponent, who turned out to be the drunken man from the stand.
He gave you a dirty grin and said "I like it when you play a little coy. You don't want people to think you're a slut."
You snorted angrily, even though he had just taken you for a prostitute himself. "But you're all whores on the inside," he added, still grinning dirty.
That was too much! What did this guy think he was? "Are you still okay? I'm neither a prostitute nor a whore on the inside. I'm a married woman!" you hurled at him angrily. "Me too. Which doesn't mean that you and I can't have a little fun together," he said, which only caused you to grimace in disgust.
"No thanks. You'd better go home and get it for your wife," you replied and turned to leave again.
Unfortunately, turning your back on the guy proved to be a serious mistake as the next moment you felt a brutal blow to your back that drove all the air out of your lungs at once. Panting and gasping for air, you fell to your knees. For a moment, stars danced before your eyes and you were disoriented for a few moments.
All of a sudden you felt two large calloused hands roughly kneading your breasts from behind. The pain made you gasp again. You felt something hard against your back and didn't even dare to think about what it might be. Instead, you tried again to free yourself from the man's grip. But he seemed to have clawed at your breasts, because he didn't let go, no matter how hard you tried. "Come on sweetie, just relax. You'll see, you'll like it," the bastard whispered in your ear in a rough voice while he continued to massage your breasts roughly. Tears slowly welled up in your eyes and obscured your vision, but you could still feel him take one hand off your breasts and begin to stroke your thigh greedily. You immediately realized where this was going and you didn't want to let it come to that.
Instead, you decide to make one more attempt to escape the slavering hands of this drunken bastard. After all, you were a kunoichi and therefore trained in combat.
It shouldn't be a problem for you to free yourself from this situation.
But in this situation of all situations, all your fighting experience suddenly seemed to be forgotten. You felt helpless and weak. A circumstance that you didn't like at all, especially since the guy who still had you firmly in his grip had started to let his hand wander under the hem of your jukata.
Suddenly the guy had disappeared and you blinked a few times in confusion at the rapid change in your situation.
Still quite confused, you looked around the small alleyway and suddenly saw a tall figure looming over you. "Tengen!" you shouted, your voice trembling with relief, and you threw your arms around your husband's neck. At that moment, your tears broke free and you sobbed unrestrainedly into his shoulder. You only noticed in passing how he wrapped his strong arms around you and gently rocked you back and forth until you calmed down a little.
"That drunken bastard seriously thought I was a prostitute"; you finally blurted out after you had managed to get your thoughts back in order a little.
"Do you think I look like a whore?" you asked your husband in a sudden burst of insecurity.
"No! Not a bit!" came Tengen's prompt and confident reply.
For a brief moment, you wondered where the guy had disappeared to so suddenly, but Tengen's other women quickly drew your attention as they came running to you and Tengen in the alley. Suma immediately threw her arms around your neck and nearly squeezed the air out of you until Makio unceremoniously pulled her away from you by the hair and scolded her.
Hinatsuru also embraced you and together you decided to make your way home. You didn't say a single word the whole way. Your thoughts were still revolving around the incident in the alley when you suddenly noticed how Tengen had stopped.
"Are you all right?" he asked, looking at you with a worried expression. You finally managed to smile a little. "I was pretty scared about what happened, but I'm slowly getting better," you said, and that wasn't even a lie. You really did feel better. "I'm just sorry that I ruined the trip to the Christmas market for the rest of you. It's so rare for us to all get together," you added dejectedly.
All at once, you were pulled into a warm embrace and pressed against a muscular chest.
"You haven't ruined anything for us (name)," you heard Tengen say quietly. "Even though you don't like crowds at all, you came along anyway. We just should have taken a little better care of you. That will never happen again," he promised you solemnly, which made you blush instantly.
Without further ado, you stood on your tiptoes to plant a kiss on your husband's lips, which he immediately returned. "Apart from this unpleasant coincidence, the outing wasn't so bad. But maybe we can all do something in future where there are fewer people around. For example, ice skating or sledging," you suggested. "Or baking cookies," Tengen added, which made you laugh a little. "I think everyone's had enough of your dick cookies for now," you said, which also made Tengen laugh.
All in all, it turned out to be a nice evening, even if you would rather avoid the Christmas markets in future.
I learned from One Piece to consume manga in a different way.
I silence, block and avoid theories and the fandom as much as possible, this was due to Dressrosa and the weekly experience, but the fact that I loved the villain and one of the new allies (Doflamingo and Law) and read so many ideas and theories and speculations meant that when I read what Oda wrote, I was disappointed, what I saw didn't meet my expectations, I had read and even seen fanarts of such incredible and well-crafted possibilities that the canon was disappointing in some respects, I could see the good, but my frustration didn't allow me to see what the author wanted... I could not see Dressrosa for what it is but only for what I wanted it to be... my vision changed when I talked to a colleague and she said she loved it, and I brought her some theories and possibilities and some she even liked, but she said something I've never forgotten, she said how interesting some of them are, how cool they are, but questioned where did they get that from? Because that was not what she read.
Life happens, other priorities come into play and I've adopted another way of reading, I read OP every 6 months, no more theories, no more youtube chancela, another way of reading that brought me great satisfaction, I've done the same with Doctor Stone, Golden Kamuy, MHA and JJK.
I read in my own time, without interacting with fandom, without theories, I read what's on the pages, I read the author's work and not the collective and creative mind of the fandom and it's only now, with the end of jjk, that I've started to read what the fandom has to say and I feel like I've read a different manga from what some of the fandom has read.
I saw JJK as a manga with a simple and straightforward story, with excellent panels, great sense of movement, great fight choreography, and a real pout porri of ideas that the older you are or the more you've seen, the more references and inspirations (from tv, movies, super sentais and other anime/manga) you notice.
But it's still a simple story, from which you can draw depth and interesting discussions, but simple in its essence.
With only 4 or 5 really important characters. With everything else being used as a means to created a more digestive bridge for a straightforward path to the conclusion and its include side characters and side plots. The character have a function, he executes that function and he is gone (dead or forgoteen) the same goes for some parts of the story (is that the best way to write it? I don't know...I think it's a very peculiar and cold one...but it's one clearly and deliberately chosen)
It's like that with the invasion of the American army, with the clans, with the Tengen/Kenjaku/Sukuna relationship... you get a glimpse but no elaboration, because to continue with the evolution and conclusion of the journey of these 5 core characters you don't need that elaboration.
Did that work?
In my view, it worked for 4 of the 5...
1 of them suffered from this choice... but the balance was positive in the end.
I say 5 because I feel that the narrative isn't complete without them, we don't have the beginning of the story, nor the conflict, nor the middle, nor the end...
They are, in the order of their appearance in the manga, Megumi, Yuji, Sukuna, Gojo and Kenjaku.
The story begins with Sukuna and everything revolves around him, Yuji has a connection with him and eats his finger, Megumi first appearance is looking for him and then he finds Yuji and in the future becomes his vessel and his technique is of the utmost importance to Sukuna and Gojo arrives soon after, 4 of 5 right in the 1st chapter.
Kenjaku comes later in the manga, but he also has plans involving Sukuna, pacts with Sukuna...always Sukuna.
The power system, the importance and superiority of CE and CT, the preference for powerful techniques, the contempt for who isn't strong, all align with Sukuna.
Of these 5 characters, I'd say that 4 had great arcs and conclusions.
Yuji, Gojo, Kenjaku, Sukuna...the only one I wanted more was Megumi, he had an ok-ish conclusion in my opinion.
About the final chapter, Mahito was said to be the mirror of humanity, death, and him being there with Sukuna makes sense, Mahito is the mirror, and Sukuna remains faithful to what he said to Jogo (hit him and he'll do what Jogo wants) to what he said to Yorozu (losing is the same as dying, do what you want with my body) and is extremely adaptable, he never lost so his ways were never showed to be wrong...but in the end Yuji defeated him, so Sukuna in the afterlife accepts his defeat with alacrity and nobility, he adapts and is show to consider a new path.
Sukuna can thus be said to follow the two facets of Sukuna from Nihon Shoki and local legends, one of violent being, an evil despot, the other benevolent and protective being.
As Yuji himself said, you could say that the finger is now a talisman.
The story begins with Sukuna and ends with Sukuna and since JJK's world until then adhered to similar principles as Sukuna, his defeat and change could mean the change of that society itself, and this was made possible by a new generation, guided as far as possible and in Gojo's own peculiar way.
Kenjaku wanted chaos that he couldn't control, he got it, this chaos created Takaba, and Takaba gave him an illogical, chaotic fight, which he enjoyed so much that he didn't notice something that he had prepared so much for, he died, but as he told Choso, he did everything he did out of curiosity and entertainment, the merger could be an abonible being or a funny face, he would laugh if it was that. Takaba questioned him, if he wouldn't give it all up if he had fun...
Well, Takaba provided Kenjaku with everything he wanted, Kenjaku had his chaos, he had his entertainment, his fun, his bizarre face, his laughter.
I can't say enough about Gojo, not having interacted with the fandom, my impression is that Gojo is one of Gege's favorite characters, such is the care and appreciation I've seen for him in the manga second only to Sukuna in my opinion.
Not that the manga have no flaws, far from it, I've never been a big fan of how Gege likes to complicate explanations that could be much simpler and more succinct. Techniques and concepts explained several times, sometimes in different ways to make it more confusing...
But I read JJK with the perception of an action story, with comedy and lots of references and a few hints of tragedy, but I didnt saw the dark story, much less a story with a tragic ending.
Even in Shibuya, of the characters who are the good guys, who do we really lose? Nanami and, at the time, Nobara. Reading it in one go, it's a chaotic arc in which evwryhting goes wrong and the characters lose and it marks a change in the rhythm of the story, but that's it...
CG arc the characters all win, it's action and fun and deepening of some themes and characters (those characters have to have their arc concluded or their question/dilema ready for when they face Sukuna, after all Sukuna will answer their question/dilema, Kashimo/Gojo, or will defeat them because he is the strongest and them in one way or another still adhering to his path, till we get to Yuji)
But in CG arc is only after volumes of winnings that he finaly in the fight against Kenjaku, lose, and then Sukuna...Gege managed very well to bring the feeling that we're fucked, but Megumi would be saved because that's what he asked Yuji, and Yuji is the protagonist and will win in the end.
It's the pillars of shonen jump, friendship, effort and victory.
Thats why I can see how Gege succeed in create the dread atmosphere but cannot see the possibility of a dark or grim ending.
So the ending was very satisfying for me.
But I agreed it would have been beneficial to have 10 instead of 5 final chapters, or maybe give a few pages for us to see Megumi process what happened, just what Yuji had in the aftermath of Shibuya, I think I'd like his conclusion better to me.
I'm not saying that fandom is bad, it's good, great for sales, popularity, meeting people and getting to know other manga.
But I wanted to give a perspective from someone who read CG and the Gojo vs Suluna battle in one go, and everyone's battle against Sukuna after accumulating almost 6 months of chapters.
I didn't find Sukuna's death abrupt, because for me it was four and a half chapters of dialog, fighting and surprises...
Yes, I missed a moment for Megumi to have a ponder like Yuji, and Yuta returning to his body was an explanation that I just accepted, without questioning it too much because I didn't think it was the best of explanations, it was more Rika being the Macguffin that she is and was in JJK 0... the simple domain chapter was interesting, it shows the change, the different future that Gojo wanted, Takaba got his comedy partner and I thought it was hilarious, totally within his character and power.
The mission seeing that everything turned out well, a classic shonen trope, very similar to the beginning of JJK which is a classic shonen trope, with a special touch seeing Sukuna and the final image which is very similar to the beginning of the manga.
8 out of 10 for me.
It's worth buying and I will have this the manga in my memory with all my affection.
It certainly makes me excited to see what Gege will do again.
As for JJK part 2, which I've read people talking about in X, I don't see the point, but if he wants to do it I can see how JJK would allow such a choice
first of all i'd like to thank you for your incredible analyses, i always look forward to reading them!
my question is, what do you think might be the reason behind gojo's outfit resembling toji's as he goes on to fight sukuna who is possessing megumi's body? (my apologies if you've already answered an ask similar to this)
have a good day/night!
Yes, I think there is a reason for Gege drawing Gojo in Toji's outfit. They are character foils, both considered the peak of their respective sorcery, Toji the peak of physical ability, and Gojo with using cursed energy. Despite being nearly equals they represent positions in the world, Gojo is the golden child of all of sorcerer society, whereas Toji is the scapegoat of the Zen'in who was kicked out only to return to burn the whole village down.
Which is where they are similar as well, they've both had their whole lives defined by the abusive sorcerer system they are stuck in. Gege draws visual parallels to Toji for characters like Megumi and Maki who are affected by this cycle.
Toji is both victim and perpetrator. His actions towards Megumi make him another link in the chain. When Tengen talks about the chain of events that led to Kenjaku sealing GOjo away, he names Toji as the start of that chain.
Toji was abused his entire life until he lost his ability to believe in his own goodness. Then he discarded his pride and began to kill for money he gambled away anyway. He took a job to kill a girl and shot her in front of Geto Suguru. The sheer injustice of the action broke Geto, who began to look down on non-sorcerers because of that. Which eventually led to his downfall at Gojo's hands years later, and Kenjaku stealing his body.
Each of these players was a victim of violence who then went on to go perpetuate violence against others. Tegen even uses chains while discussing on how he destroyed the future.
Toji's feelings towards Megumi are complex, but he's also an adult abuser. He was victimized by the toxic masculinity of both the Zen'in Clan, and sorcerer society as a whole, and his personality became formed around that toxic image of strength. He's used as a symbol when other characters act like him at their most violent moments. When they choose to continue the cycle of violence. Megumi looks exactly like Toji, something Gojo even comments on this chapter. Whenever Megumi is indulging in his more violent side, he's drawn to look like Toji.
Megumi is paralleld to Toji time and time again to indicate that Megumi is not mentally well. He is still caught up in this cycle of abuse. Whenever he's pushed a little bit in combat he indulges in his more violent side, he easily justifies murder (Megumi: Unlike Yuji I"m totally willing to kill people in the Culling Gage), and on top of that he's passively suicidal at times. This is not the behavior of a well-adjusted kid. Which is why the cycle is a cycle you can at the same time be a victim of violence and perpetuate violence.
Recently when Sukuna emerges from the bath while possessing Megumi's body, his hair is even drawn like Toji's.
The bath who's purpose is to make Megumi be near evil, and completely submerge his soul. Toji is not a good role model, guys. If anything the paralleling of Gojo and Toji's outfits is to show that the way Gojo treated Megumi isn't really that different from Toji.
Gojo appeared on the doorstep of a vulnerable child who had no adult guardian to take care of them, and rather than help that child only saw an opportunity to recruit someone for his child army he plans to overthrow the elders with. It's questionable whether or not Gojo even realizes this is abuse, because he is just doing what was done to him.
Megumi was born with an incredibly powerful technique like Gojo, so I'm sure in GOjo's mind the best thing he can do is to bring out Megumi's full potential as a sorcerer. Gojo doesn't see the option of just letting Megumi live a normal life or have a normal childhood because that wasn't an option for him.
Considering the death of Tsumiki, Gojo's basically failed Megumi in every way that counts TO MEGUMI. After all, the only reason Megumi decided to go with Gojo, is because he thought Tsumiki had a chance of happiness that way. Megumi did everything Gojo asked of him, he let Gojo raise him as a sorcerer for all those years, only for Tsumiki to end up dead in the end.
Gojo also in his own mind takes the blame for what happened to Yaga because it happened while he was sealed away, so he might even be aware of the fact he has failed Megumi.
So dressing up Gojo as Toji is an easy visual indicator that Gojo while he wants to break away from the cycle that harms children, is still very much a part of this cycle of abuse. While Gojo never acted as a father figure to Megumi, he was still an adult mentor that was involved in his life and yet never treated him like a child that needed to be protected. In fact, he sort of just exploited the fact that Megumi "owed him".
Gojo had a real chance to break the cycle of violence when he took in Megumi, the son of a man who harmed both him and Geto so severely. Yet, the cycle remains unbroken because Gojo's yet another adult figure in Megumi's life who failed to take care of him. Now we're at the end result of that, Gojo's got no qualms with beating the tar out of his body while possessed with Sukuna. Because Gojo may care about Megumi, but there's always been something else more important than Megumi's well being and individual needs. Megumi was a tool for Gojo's reform for society first, before he was a child.
Caregivers Uzui household + main four as littles
More Tengen + wives ramblings :D whooo! (can you tell who my favorite character is lol) also I realize they wouldn't have the same kinds of pacifiers we have today modernly, but shhh, this whole thing is self indulgent let me pretend.
~~~
~Tengen thought the easiest of the four to look after was going to be Tanjiro. The teen barely put up a fuss on a bad day, he couldn’t imagine anything different from a regressed Tanjiro.
~Boy was he wrong.
~Tanjiro who’s used to going a long time without eating absolutely can’t skip a meal when small. He will start sobbing if he starts to feel hungry as a million different bad memories start flooding back to mind. It took a while for his caregivers to realize what was triggering the meltdowns and in the end it was Hina who put two and two together.
~Turns out an upset Tanjiro only furthers the chaos of his friends as now Inosuke is going into what Tegen calls 'feral protective toddler mode', Nezuko won't leave the boy's side and Zenitsu refuses to calm down until he sees that his friends are alright.
~Tengen starting to tell a story from one of his missions before getting smacked in the head by Makio when he starts to get a little to detailed- clearly he needs to get better at realizing what’s child friendly or not. Until then he just sticks to flashy retellings of fairytales.
~Little Zenitsu who has bad separation anxiety, turns into what the women have dubbed ‘pass the baby’ so that one of them is always holding him at one point or another. If the three of them get tired they end up passing the boy off on their husband with no explanation other than ‘your turn.’
~ Tengen who goes from ‘no, he’s not going to waste money on something as silly as a pacifier’ to figuring out deco paci’s exist and suddenly is really hooked on the idea of bedazzling his own custom one for his kiddos. It takes a few tries before he likes the way it looks.
~Tanjiro and Nezuko’s first, green and pink respectively, decorated with matching rhinestones. Followed by a very hesitant Zenitsu, bright yellow with little flower cabochons, and finally Insouke, navy blue with a little sword charm hanging from the handle
~Inosuke who starts throwing a fit that he’s not a baby and he’s not going to use a pacifier and Tengen takes the outburst very personally
~Zenitsu dumping out a box full of Tengen's jewelry and 'reorganizing' it on the floor of the man’s room. Nezuko comes along to ‘help him and by the time the two little ones are done they (and the floor) are covered in so many jewels and hair accessories and poor Tengen has to spend forever trying to actually organize and locate everything.
~Nezuko playing dress up with Suma, Makio, and Hina's old clothing while the boys play outside. Letting them do her makeup and running outside to show the others after each completed outfit.
~Tengen’s not going to play pretend unless he can be one of two roles. The dashing prince who comes to the rescue ✨ or the fierce monster! Luckily his wives are more giving when it comes to playing along.

Dead End
<---Previous
Part XVIII
Tanjirou is almost shaking with anticipation as he follows Mitsuri through the house. She's very quick now and the other women in there ignore them completely.
They go back to the streets; the place is already full of people (most of them potential clients) and despite all the light and noise, Tanjirou feels almost invisible there.
His heart has gone crazy inside his chest; he can feel his Pillars close. Finally, after all that time wondering where they were and praying to all the gods for them to be okay, he's going to see them again.
After a while, they walk inside another house; nobody in there questions their presence or asks them about anything.
They reach a private room that leads them outside again and to a dead end; but it's not; there's a metal door that takes them to a very hidden space.
Tanjirou walks in and gets a little bit nervous when he realizes no one is making any noise.
But right then Mitsuri walks in front of him, like she's trying ho shield him with her body.
"It's me."
Slowly they appear from the shadows, but the dangerous expression disappears from their faces as soon as they recognize Tanjirou.
Tengen kneels in front of him and takes him in his big arms; that's when Tanjirou starts sobbing uncontrollably.
The hashira starts kissing him all over the face, whispering against his cheeks and face how much he's missed him until Sanemi gets closer to them and hisses.
"What do you think you're doing?" He's yelling, face turning into something almost feral, but Tanjirou can't bring himself to be afraid because he can see the fear and worry in Sanemi's eyes.
Kyojuro pulls him into his arms, eyes desperately roaming all over the redhead's body, looking for wounds.
"Are you hurt? Did they find the safe place? Why are you here?"
"I needed to see all of you again," Tanjirou mumbles, tears falling from his eyes; he can't tell them about Akaza, at least not yet.
Giyuu appears to be as angry as Sanemi is, but he still takes Tanjirou in his arms.
"Someone needs to take him back."
"No," Tanjirou almost growls, pushing him away. "I won't be going back to that place only to spend my days wondering if I'm going to see you again or not!"
"If you stay here you could die!" Sanemi snarls back and yet he's very kind and gentle when he cradles Tanjirou's face in his hands.
"The same goes to you." He protests, stubbornly. "The difference is that you'll be dying because of me! So either you come back with me or none of us do!"
There's a moment of silence before Gyomei comes out of the next room, he embraces Tanjirou and sighs.
"Alright. It's your choice," he agrees. "But you'll be staying here the whole time."
Tanjirou is about to protest again but he decides that's enough for one day, besides, he wants to enjoy their company; it's been too long without them.
"Where are Muichiro-san and Obanai-san?"
"Trying to find one of Muzan's assassins," Giyuu informs, still not looking very happy with the situation.
Which means they're risking their lives as they speak.
"What about Shinobu-san?"
"Come with me, darling," Mitsuri carries him and takes him to the next room; there's concern written all over her features.
It takes Tanjirou a lot of strength not to start crying again; Shinobu is lying on a futon, looking severely injured, her arms are completely covered in bandages and there are several scratches, probably inflicted with a sharp weapon, all over her face.
Tanjirou jumps from Mitsuri's arms and kneels on the floor next to her.
"I think the fever is back," she says out loud. "I'm seeing him again. Although this time he's dressed as a beautiful young lady."
Tanjirou shakes his head, tears escaping from his big eyes; he has done nothing but cry since he got there. He feels useless.
"It's me," he sobs, taking one of her hands and nuzzling against her cheek carefully. "It's really me."
"What are you doing here?" Her voice sounds a little bit weak. "You shouldn't be here."
"I missed you all."
"We missed you too," Shinobu smiles, although it looks like she's in pain. Tanjirou moves away not to hurt her, but she pulls him right into her arms. "My love, I wanted nothing more than to see you again."
Tanjirou moves away, still worried.
"What happened?"
"I managed to get rid of one of them, but I had to pay a very high price for it," Shinobu whispers, before giving him a kiss on the lips. "Darling, stop crying... It's not... I'll live."
Seeing her like that just makes everything more real: he could lose them all.
"I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault."
"It kind of is."
"No, it's not," Sanemi growls, grabbing Tanjirou's shoulders and turning him around. "You cannot take our choice away from us, besides, this is all because of Muzan."
He shouldn't have left Urokodaki that first night; the Pillars wouldn't have met him and they'd be completely fine.
"You must be hungry," Kyojuro kisses him on the forehead, mostly to distract Tanjirou from his own thoughts. "Let's have dinner."
"I don't want to leave Shinobu-san."
"Let's eat here while we wait for Muichiro and Obanai," Giyuu says then. Tengen sits on the ground and takes Tanjirou in his arms again.
That's when he remembers that his two Pillars shouldn't be the only thing to worry about; Akaza is going to return for him before the sun is back in the sky.
He'll be worried, but Tanjirou hopes he doesn't start looking for him.
Can he send him a message somehow? Or go back to that place and meet him there? The Pillars would never let him do that, not even after he explained everything to them.
Should he tell them about Akaza? Will they try to kill him after they find out what happened?
"What is it, Tanjirou?" Shinobu reaches out to him and the redhead immediately takes her hand.
"I'm..." He interrupts himself when he notices Shinobu's cheeks are pink; they didn't look like that before. Tanjirou moves away from Tengen and leans to touch her forehead. "She has a fever."
"One of her wounds is infected," Gyomei informs him. "But we've been giving her medication for that. She should be fine in a couple of hours."
Tanjirou trusts him, he knows he wouldn't lie to him to calm him down, but he can't help but look for a piece of fabric and a bowl with warm water. He puts the wet cloth over her forehead; it's what his mother used to do when he was just a kid.
He can't leave her like this. Akaza must have to wait.
"You should sleep," Tanjirou mumbles, trying to hold back his tears again.
"But I want to keep looking at you," Shinobu whispers and she's so sincere, it makes him blush.
"Okay... I'll stay right here."
***
Obanai returns a couple of hours later; Tanjirou is half asleep right next to Shinobu, but still can feel her fingers running through his hair.
He can tell the others are having a heated conversation with him before he walks into the room and takes Tanjirou in his arms.
"Hi," Tanjirou smiles, blinking his eyes open and noticing that Kaburamaru is getting closer to nuzzle his cheek.
"Why?" Obanai laments, pulling him ever closer, pressing their foreheads together; he looks worried and almost scared.
"I wanted to be here with all of you." Tanjirou respons sincerely.
"We want to protect you," Obanai mumbles.
"I know. I want to keep you safe too."
Obanai takes a deep breath, but instead of arguing, he takes his bandages for a moment to kiss Tanjirou's cheek.
"Have you eaten anything yet?"
"Yeah, I have, besides... I'm not hungry. Where's Muichiro-san?"
Obanai shakes his head.
"We parted ways at some point, but if he hasn't come back yet, it's because he probably found someone. Giyuu went out to look for him."
Tanjirou's heart starts beating painfully inside his chest; he just wants his Pillars to be safe and happy.
It's all he wants.
"I hope they come back soon," he says out loud, it's a wish he desperately wants to come true.
"They will." Obanai says with a confidence Tanjirou wishes he had. But he definitely appreciates his words. "Try to sleep."
Even though he's still tired, Tanjirou knows he won't be able to.
Not until they come back.

In all honesty, I think it's good that Gojo didn't bite the dust against Sukuna. I think by the end of the series, Gojo would be gone but not because he is killed. He would be erased.
It all goes down to the implied connection between Tengen, the Star Plasma Vessel, and Limitless Six Eye User and the theme of evolution/change in JJK.
There is a pattern that Tengen, SPV, and L6E follows:
Tengen needs to "renew" her body.
An SPV must be "Sacrificed".
L6E must "Protect" the SPV until the Merger happens.
It's a ritual - a tradition upheld for centuries.
But, here's the thing.
Yuki and Gojo both went against this tradition.
Tengen needs to "renew" her body.
Yuki is the original SPV before Riko. She refused to be a "Sacrifice".
Gojo is the L6E "Protector" but he was willing to allow the SPV to go free. Even if Toji didn't kill Riko, the Merger will still not happen.
However, while the tradition is broken, the ritual is still on-going. Tengen still needs to "renew". What now?
Let's think of the Merger Ritual as something similar to the typical portrayal of Ouija games in media. There are rules that must be followed. If said rules are broken, deadly consequences follow because the game isn't over. It will only end once the rules are upheld once again somehow - usually in a clever way like "tricking" the system.
Applying that to the situation in JJK. The Merger Ritual is unfinished. Tengen is still evolving. How can it be stopped?
Someone must become the Sacrifice.
Traditionally, this is the role of the SPV. However, both Yuki and Riko are dead. There are no new SPV in sight as well.
So who is still left with a connection to Tengen and SPVs that could maybe take over the role? The L6E "Protector" - Gojo.
This ties back to the theme of Evolution/Change in JJK.
Tengen is the symbol of the status quo whom both Yuki and Gojo had defied. As a result, Tengen evolved and so did the entire world.
Part of this shift results in Yuki, the original SPV, taking over the role of "Protector".
Yuki did a great job as a "Protector". The problem tho is, there is no "Sacrifice" to Merge with Tengen. In other words, it is impossible for her to end the ritual alone.
She died fighting against Kenjaku and Tengen continued to evolve.
As another part of the shift happening, Yuki's choice to become "Protector" may have altered Gojo's fate as well. He must now become the "Sacrifice". The traditional roles of the SPV and L6E have been broken and changed into something new.
But why Gojo specifically?
He has ties with Tengen and the SPV.
His birth made Curses stronger. Logically, his "erasure" would make them weaker.
Tengen needs the SPV to reset their powers - to uphold a cycle. If Gojo could Merge with Tengen, it may complete the ritual and further evolution would be stopped. However, the cycle will become truly broken because Tengen will not reset anymore. A new world can now finally emerge - one without being the sole pillar of security (Tengen) or pillar of strength (Gojo).
I think JJK is also a story about the birth of a new jujutsu society. The old ways and traditions are failing.
For example, the Merger Ritual certainly worked for centuries but it was cracking.
Kenjaku gets defeated by the L6E every time but he grows better from each loss and became more dangerous with schemes.
Tengen felt lonely and miserable in her immortality and inability to communicate with the SPVs.
Yuki hates the sacrificial fates of SPVs.
Gojo felt like the SPVs should have the choice to refuse the Merger.
Clearly, something new and different must be done... which Gojo had encouraged as a teacher. He took care of students who could become as strong as him to change the world.
So, I think it would be logical for him to be the new "Sacrifice" for the sake of his students who may become the new "Protectors". His "erasure" would complete the metamorphosis of the world and finish the Merger Ritual he started with Riko and Geto.
#jjk spoilers#jujutsu kaisen spoilers#i may not be making much sense in here#but the connection between tengen-spv-l6e must be meant for something#also i just like the idea of gojo kinda being the proxy for riko's fate#yes my gojo-riko are soul sibs agenda is still going strong#also yes this is crazy talking and i have now placed a tin foil hat on my head#let me live

Tell us about Tokogami lad
WELL SINCE YOU ASKED (what have you done)
Kyaruka Tokogami was once known as "The Nightmare Hashira" but is now affectionately named "The Demon Hashira" due to him being the only Hashira that has turned into a demon and stayed in the Corps.
He's the younger brother to Kyaruka Momoka, The Star Pillar, and is constantly under her watchful protection.
Tokogami is described as being charismatic yet a little awkward. Some say he's a bit intimidating when you first meet him but once you talk to him he's quite friendly! He tends to be quiet by nature and is very expressive, though if you get him in front of the right people, he can be quite loud.
He looks up to Sanemi and Rengoku a lot, which explains a little bit of his personality.
Toko always wants to make friends, because he finds himself always feeling lonely, especially since he can't go outside. But in the same vein, he doesn't want to be a hindrance to anyone unnecessarily, so he keeps to himself most of the time.
Tokogami was forcefully turned into a demon by Muzan with the expectation that he would follow command and become an Uppermoon. But he fights off Muzan's command fueled by the love he has love for his sister and the desire he had to protect his friends, his inferiors and the innocent. He doesn't have outbursts that much because he learned to control himself a lot more.
Though, Toko's demon transformation happened within the same week he became a Hashira. He had to keep it a secret from the others. Until Ubuyashiki found out and managed to convince Tokogami to tell the other Hashira, or at least just Shinobu.
Shinobu wasn't very phased by the information, revealing she had suspicions of it the whole time.
Telling the others however, was a completely different monster to tackle. But through the help of Ubuyashiki, telling the other Hashira went as smoothly as it could. Though that didn't stop Sanemi from threatening his life every now and again.
Tokogami cannot go out during the day as much as he wants to. It makes him sorta depressed sometimes but it's something he learned to live with. Due to this, he tends to ask his inferiors to do him favors that he'd usually do himself, like picking his favorite fruit or his favorite flowers or running errands for him. He tries to repay them as quickly as possible. He usually feels very guilty about making them do all the work.
His approach to his job is commonly criticized because sometimes he can come off as a little too careless or nonchalant. That's usually because lower demons are just ants to him and they don't take much to defeat. So he doesn't see the merit in wasting extra energy trying to seem bothered by their presence. Though he can take things seriously but when he does he just becomes a straight up lunatic. He always opts to making a demon's death quick yet painful. He'll go to absurd lengths to prove he's not messing around.
Tokogami views Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke as younger brothers or cousins, as they reminded him of his own. They had parallel personalities and everything. Toko promised himself that he'd never let any of them get hurt.
He also has a similar view of Muichiro and Genya. Though for Genya, it was a lot more personal, as one of his siblings was exactly like him in every aspect.
His love language is mostly acts of service and spending time. He likes making people gifts as a means of telling them he appreciates them. He also loves listening to people talk, whether to vent or to talk about something they're passionate about.
Other snippets:
• Tokogami's training is focused mainly on focus and agility.
• Nightmare Breathing has 6 forms, as far as he's aware.
• Tokogami became a Hashira when he was 18. His sister started at the same age.
• He's really good friends with Mitsuri, Rengoku and Tengen!
• Cutting off his head doesn't kill him. At the current moment, nobody knows what would kill him. (Not even me tbh)
• Toko really wants to befriend Kanao but is just as socially awkward as she is.
#kyaruka tokogami#demon slayer#kimetsu no yaiba#kny#kny oc#HI THIS IS VERY MESSY BUT IT'S 12AM AND I CANT THINK STRAIGHT ‼️‼️‼️‼️#roraka rambles#literally

Chapter 211: The Ripening
// SPOILER WARNING!!! DO NOT PROCEED IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE CHAPTER YET.
Opening words: “The "preparation" progresses! The archipelago crosses over to the other side!!”
O.O nice cameo, waiter-kun! The official release didn't include it but this dude is actually the waiter that resigned from the restaurant where Kenjaku and co. hung out at in chapter 12. We got to see his four sisters-in-law too!
Anyway, the dialogue for the right panel should have been:
》 Ex-waiter: "Was the filter properly cleaned?" 》 Sister: "Not unless onii-chan cleaned it."
》 Maki: "The preparation being completed is one thing. But according to the guy that self-proclaimed himself as Itadori's older brother... Kenjaku has captured Tengen-sama."
The term used for pre-prep is 慣らし (narashi). Actually, if yall been following the official translation, they previously used "breaking in", followed by "custom" and then "customary prelude". Now they chose "pre-prep." 😅 Really, let's not be anymore confused; it's just "preparation" or "pre-merger."
Also, forgive my nitpicking here but it's more of "capturing" Tengen, rather than "take" her in the sense of "take her away."
》 Maki: (...) "It's a blessing in disguise that the back of the Prison Realm is still safe."
The phrase in blue was 「不幸中の幸い」 (fukōchū no saiwai) in the raws. Though very rarely used as "blessing in disguise", I think it's kinda fitting in this context..? It's an expression which means a small mercy (from some misfortune) that things didn't end up for the worse.
》 Yuuji: "This isn't something we can figure out by ourselves. Anyways, let's focus on Tsumiki nee-chan first."
Throughout the mention of Tsumiki, Yuuji addresses her as "Tsumiki no nee-chan" the whole time and, honestly, it's adorable af HUWAAA LET ME HUG HIM–
》 Yuuji: "Why haven't our senpais added the rules yet?"
This one sounds better, imo.
》 Megumi: (...) "This 'removal' is done by tampering with the brain, so it basically means 'death.'"
Just FYI, the words removal and death were in quotation marks.
》 Maki: "Ok, why the hell is that possible?"
Thanks to TCB Scans for pointing out that Maki switched to Kansai dialect here. 「なんでやねん」 (nandeyanen) is a Kansai dialect word and one of the most popular phrases. It's equivalent to "why" in standard Japanese, and is used to express surprise or denial after hearing or witnessing something.
》 Hana: "It's [because of] the Angel's cursed technique."
》 Angel: "In order to extinguish the barrier technique with my cursed technique, the root of the barrier must be extinguished. If we don't know where that is, then only Hana and I can [freely] move through the colonies."
FYI, the kanji used for "barrier" and "colonies" are essentially the same (結界) but the furigana reads differently in both speech bubbles. Plus, previously the official translations used the term "extinguish" so I'm just reusing the same word here, instead of "destroying".
Nothing wrong here. Just wanted to share that Maki's last statement in the left panel contained the lyrics from Makoto Kawamoto's song titled "1/2", which is why Takaba mentioned her name in the next panel. The song lyrics that made Takaba mention her was "[kamisama wa] nanimo kinshi nanka shitenai". In the raws, Maki said "(...) nanimo kinshi nanka shitenai nda yo". [Honestly how can some readers not love Takaba?!]
》 Yuuji: "In other words, it's the same as the random transfer. It's not a general rule of the Culling Game, but a rule of the barriers. 》 Hana: Even if we add a rule to allow free entry and exit from the colonies, chances are we might still get repelled due to the barriers' rule."
The official translations totally changed whatever they said.
》 Maki: (...) "Let's proceed with "Allow players to withdraw from the Culling Game." Yuuta and the others have already transferred the points to you, right?"
Personal gripe but really, though, we never heard them say "Yuuta's team" ever. It's more like "Yuuta and the rest/the others."
Also more importantly, Gege has made a mistake [again] here. Megumi hasn't added any rules yet, so the rules part should have been reflected as 00 instead of 01.
》 Kogane: "This is a proposal with regards to the addition of a rule to the Culling Game."
》 Megumi: "Maki-san, please bring Tsumiki here [to this barrier] for me."
I feel like the official translation made Megumi sound authoritative here, as if he was bossing Maki around. If anything he was more polite than bossy. Also, in the furigana he said 「ここ」 (koko) which means here while the kanji was 「結界」 barrier.
》 Yuuji: "Tsumiki nee-chan is already a player but she's not inside a colony, right? Then wouldn't it be safer to remotely transfer the points to her and have her withdraw [from the Culling Game]?"
Official translation missed out on the "have her withdraw" part.
》 Megumi: "Players that hold points for too long also has the risk of being targeted by other players. The safest thing to do is to rendezvous with Tsumiki first." 》 Maki: "Right. But I can't enter the colony with her. (...), so Tsumiki and I will be separated during the transfer."
》 Tsumiki: "Ijichi-san, are you really going to enter the colony in my place..? I should do it myself.." 》 Ijichi: "No. It's not a good idea to reduce the number of sorcerers outside the colonies."
Okay, Tsumiki wouldn't be addressing Ijichi just by his name without honorifics (yes, even in English). In the raws, she certainly said Ijichi-san, so at least in the English version, "Mr. Ijichi" would have been decent. And as for Ijichi's reply, the official missed out a few stuff.
》 Maki: "This feels like.. a plea bargain with an inmate on death row..." 》 Ijichi: "Haha! I'd love to play along to that, but there isn't enough time."
》 Gojo: (...) "You're more useless than shit. Hurry and get your driver's license now. The manual one. If you refuse, I'll slap the shit out of you." (...) 》 Ijichi: "If Gojo-san hadn't said any of that, I would have ended up becoming a half-assed sorcerer and died right away."
》 Yuuji: "Huh, is that her!? A spot-on transfer?!"
The term Yuuji used was 「ドンピシャ転送」 (don pisha tensho) which literally means perfect transfer. "Don pisha" means "spot on", "right on", or "perfect match."
We all know how players will be randomly transferred once they pass through the barrier, however Tsumiki was teleported directly to where Gumi and friends are, which is ever so convenient and highly suspicious!
》 Yuuji: "Tsumiki nee-chan has some great luck!" 》 Tsumiki: "Pleased to meet you! Thank you for taking care of Megumi." 》 Yuuji: "I'm Itadori. No, I'm the one being taken care of."
Yuuji said 「こちらこそ」 (kochira koso), which is a humble expression used as a response when the speaker wants to repeat what somebody says to them, but in the opposite direction, or the other way around. Like, "No, I'm the one that should really be saying that." This expression is normally emphatic so it can vary by context.
In this case, since Tsumiki thanked Yuuji for taking care of Megumi, Yuuji then humbly replied that he's being taken care of [by Megumi].
》 Hana: "Great! I didn't have to do a thing. (...) Nice, Itadori! Make me sound good." 》 Megumi: "Let's finish this quickly. Kogane."
》 Yuuji: "Notice how he acts cool in front of his family. Must be the rebellious phase!"
Closing words: “A sudden rule addition.. Her true identity is..!?”

A, F, L, X, Z :3
A. Ships that you currently like a lot. (They don't have to be OTPs because not everyone has OTPs.) Friendships, pairings, threesomes, etc. are allowed
Hehe, so obviously there is Renkaza. They are who most of my fanfiction is about these days. Something about them just scratches all the right pieces of my brain, I love them, and there is just so much to work with regarding them. They are my little meow meows
Also in demon slayer, my poly hell ship of Mitsuri/Shinobu/Obanai/Sanemi. I am definitely the only person on the face of the earth that ships the four of them, but there is just something so perfect and amusing about Mitsuri having her three partners, who are all only dating her and merely putting up with the other ones, and something about Mitsuri being so cute and sweet and kind with her three bastard partners standing behind her being goddamn assholes to everyone around them lmao
But I have also been think a lot about Denji and Power's friendship recently too. It's just... so perfect. They are perfect for each other in every way, and every time I see them interact it makes me smile
I am also very ALSDJFOANFEWO about Yuuji and Sukuna's relationship recently too (any variation of it) just because of how wonderfully fucked it is and all the different ways to explore it. There's just a lot of potential there, and I really love Yuuji and Sukuna
F. What's the longest you've ever been in a fandom?
Hmmm... I think the fandom I've consistently remained at least semi-active in for the longest would be Doctor Who? I tend to go in phases with it but I always circle back around to it. But I've loved the series ever since I was 12 so eight going on almost nine years for that one!
L. Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn't one of your faves.
Aki serves a wonderful place in the narrative and is interesting in regards to how he develops other characters! I might not really care much about him specifically, but his role in the story is irreplaceable and I can appreciate him for that
X. A trope which you are almost certain to love in any fandom.
Corruption arcs, hands down. There's just something so... lovely about watching the slow moral decay of a character, seeing them become the very thing they swore to destroy, etc etc, it's... satisfying? But also cathartic in a way.
Also (somewhat) found family. I say somewhat because I tend to be picky with how it's handled, but if it's done right in the way I enjoy, I'll go feral for it every time
Z. Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go!
I have been working a lot on my complete role reversal AU for demon slayer, and I genuinely think it's one of my all time favorite fics I've worked on. There's just something so fun and interesting about taking all the characters and switching sides with them, and figuring out not only how to make that make sense for them and keep the backstories similar, but also keeping them in character! Based on feedback I've gotten from readers, I think I'm doing a good job with that, and it's just a super fun and interesting thing to work on, especially the demon versions of the Hashira! I've got five out of nine of their backstories completely written out (Shinobu's, Mitsuri's, Obanai's, Tengen's, and Sanemi's) with Kyojuro's halfway finished and I am so excited to finally work on Gyomei's, Muichiro's, and Giyuu's, especially because the three of them are the Hashira I work with the least in fics, so I'm excited to play around with them
