"I-i think-"

Asel stoped. She blinked. Her reflection in the mirror blinked back at her. And for a moment she could not help but feel as though she had lost what was left of her mind.

But Thancred had suggested this, and for all his problems, he was better with people than her. She just had to ignore that one incident at the Rising Stones. She sighed, If nothing else she might feel better once it's off her chest. Very well, another shot then.

"I think I may-" Asel stopped again. Too indecisive. Y'shtola valued decisiveness in others, as far as Asel could tell. But she did not like arrogance. Asel had seen as such in her time in the Azim Steppe.

Again. Asel would start again. She would not get such a luxury in actual conversation. Here though, in the safety of the Rising Stone's guest room, she could practice as much as she needed.

"I think I have a crush on you, Y'shtola." That was good? That was good. That would have to be good. At the very least it felt nice to say it aloud for a change. She might have to thank Thancred later.

"We could spend more time together if you're amenable." Asel continued. She would not stop now that her words were actually working. She might never get a chance to organize her thoughts so well again. "It would be nice to have tea together, to talk and mayhaps see where this feeling leads. If we work well together…"

"I do believe I would be amenable."

Asel all but froze at the sound of Y'shtola's voice. Her head turned slowly to face the door. It was open. Y'shtola was in fact standing there. For a mercy, alone.

"Y-y'shtola… How much of that did you hear?" Asel questioned, forcing her voice to remain steady.

"Quite enough." There is a softness to Y'shtola's voice as she says it. Though there was also a hint of playfulness to her smile. Or, at least, Asel thought it was a smile. "It is true that we have not spent much time together of late."

Asel could not help but smile widely herself.

This place didn’t used to feel haunted.

Violet can see why kids in the area steer clear of it now though. It looks dead, eaten from the inside out. Grass and weeds run rampant, like a jungle in the front yard. The house itself, once painted a cheery soft yellow, now is littered with chipped paint. The shutters squeak in the slight breeze, one barely hanging onto the shattered window. Ivy climbs up the side of the house and cracks run through the concrete steps where the house has shifted over time and where roots and grass have sprouted under and between cracks in the driveway.

It’s almost like all of nature is conspiring to engulf the place. Clean up the mess. Erase the memory.

It fits, Violet supposes. Maybe she really is the only one clinging to this place.

Violet pushes her hands into her pockets and tips her chin up, resuming her pace as she rounds the remains of the chipped white fence. Her boots clomp against the pavement as she moves down the driveway and walks up the steps. Her trench coat swishes behind her.

At the front door, she pauses, hand on the knob. She closes her eyes, fingers squeezing into the tarnished brass. And then she opens the door.

I wish I needed brainstorming sessions

Having a creative imagination is both a blessing and a curse. On one side it's great having all these ideas to spend my days developing, but it means now I have a whole waiting list of ideas and I'm close to falling off the cliff into burnout because my brain just can't stop making ideas for video games and anime. Like currently I'm working on a game, an album, and I have an idea for 3 animes: one of which is interactive.

And that's just the near future ones. I have a whole tetralogy of video games I've been "writing" (I come up with ideas while pacing and I just remember it somehow) since 2020 but it's gonna be my magnum opus so the more polishing the better, and 3 other game ideas, and another album idea and like 2 manga ideas and looking at this you start to realise I basically planned my entire life's work and it's just keeps on going.

And yes, I could just drop most of these, but I do this thing where I recycle ideas until it's reached it's potential so any ideas I drop, I tend to recycle elements of it and chuck it into other projects. Sometimes it's a character or 2. Other times it's a complete reboot. I blame autism.

Ok so madigo said they were from AN(1) island from a system of many "islands all connected by the same system" quesadilla island is also one of the islands from this collection, so Madigo is a completely blank white creature, originating from an island. it's very interesting and makes me wonder if Madigo is the same type of creature as the fed workers who are also blank white things. It's unclear if the workers originated from quesadilla or somewhere else...
