I love Tumblr because nothing matters here truly. There are no influencers. Having followers doesn’t mean anything. It’s just a site where people post their sporadic thoughts and rb pretty pictures. Anyone who thinks any of this matters is woefully missing the point

I saw a tweet talking about how it’s strange that, with Gilmore Girls’ popularity, streaming services haven’t put out more cozy, slice-of-life shows and some people were saying Virgin River is probably the closest modern equivalent and I’m inclined to agree BUT it still features constant crime and medical emergencies. Even Ginny & Georgia (which is a blatant GG ripoff, down to the acronym) leans into the whole murder thing where are the REAL “nothing happens” shows…
#TO BE CLEAR I am not one of those ‘bring back black and white good vs evil no-sex-ever stories!’ people#it’s just funny that every show that tries capturing GG’s audience and aesthetic features over-the-top drama when the whole appeal of GG is#you can put it on in the background and relax#All Creatures Great and Small gets close but there’s animals dying every ep#and Hallmark goes too far in the other direction#tays takes
