I don't think C-137 is Morty's actual dimensional number.

Because he and Rick don't come from the same dimension, and it's never stated that C-137 is the dimensional designation that Morty (and Rick Prime by extension) comes from. Rick says that it's HIS dimensional designation, and since he created the Citadel it's not like they could've given him a new number, right? Rick would've told them to fuck off. So if C-137 is Rick's original dimensional number then that means that C-137 is the dimension where Beth and Diane died, meaning that Rick doesn't have an original Morty. C-137 Morty never got to exist.

But, when Morty refers to himself as "C-137", it's directly after he's typed in the coordinates for his original dimension on the portal gun to take Summer there. But, in that moment he's also speaking to Ricks, Ricks that he knows are from the Citadel and that he knows know who his Rick is, and pretty notoriously at that. So I think when he identifies himself as "Morty C-137", he's not identifying himself as the Morty of that dimension, but rather identifying himself as "Rick C-137's Morty".

So what the hell is Morty's original dimensional number??

i'm incredibly compelled by this, firstly from the campy the graduate angle - torrid affair with your future wife's mother? hot - but also from a completely sincere one... because "nothing really ends with happy ever after" is one of my favourite tropes.

which is to say, while i understand why the genre conventions of the series require it, i really dislike how we're supposed to just assume that all is well after voldemort dies. and one of my favourite ways for this to be explored on an individual - rather than an institutional - level is when authors think about how - more often than not - closure is nebulous and partial.

it's clear in canon that andromeda's relationship with her daughter is negatively affected - or even quite badly damaged - by her marriage to lupin, as well as by her decision to join the order of the phoenix.

and so, post-war, we can easily imagine andromeda cycling through various different manifestations of grief - her regret that she and tonks were never able to completely repair things before she died, her fury at her daughter for landing her in the position she finds herself in, her complicated feelings over lupin's survival and so on.

and lupin's own relationship with tonks was equally fractured by the time the battle of hogwarts rolled around - there's the ecstatic happiness of teddy's arrival, of course, but you can't tell me they both didn't just decide "well, we'll deal with that later" over him walking out on her - and he'll also be wracked with regret that it will now never be repaired.

i think quite a lot could be done with lupin wanting to know more about the woman who was his wife, who seems to have kept a lot about her childhood fairly coy. and, in doing so, giving andromeda a space to start to process the side of tonks - the auror, the order member - she didn't know so well.

and - maybe - coming to understand just what tonks had seen in him...

Hii! I was in the middle of drawing your OCs Psyche n Eros when I realized I wanted to know if you have a concrete design idea for her (also if you had a specific hairstyle in mind for her n psyche cause so far I’ve winged it), I’d love to know your design ideas for these two so I can bring them to life better!!

first off thank you so much, second off I do actually have a specific hair style for Psyche: a high ponytail and for Eros.. well honestly I don’t know yet really but she is a beautiful enough woman to name an entire planet after so she’d probably look something like this

Also I have been cooking up their lore a bit more so ITS YAP TIME 😈

First off, Psyche was made by Yaoshi on a random barren, dead planet with the only thing going for it being some water and existing within the habitable zone for its star to basically attempt to populate the planet herself with all various forms of life (also the planet is huge) because Yaoshi can’t be everywhere at once so they decided to make a few beings to do their job for them, and Psyche so happens to be one of them.

Fortunately, seeing as she’s the first one Yaoshi made, she’s also an emanator, and is fluent in creating and controlling all aspects of life- including people’s emotions

However Yaoshi isn’t exactly an amazing parent so they kinda just left Psyche there to do whatever the hell she wants and so she does, making herself a friend- Eros

Now unlike Psyche, Eros isn’t an emanator but she is immortal (in the “if nothing kills me I’ll live forever” flavor of immortality) and is fairly durable, also possessing some innate healing abilities both for herself and others

Together they begin to fill the planet with life until it’s as biodiverse as ever, and by then several centuries have passed past. Psyche and Eros are living happily together on this world, when disaster strikes- a stellaron crisis.

Most of the life on the planet is destroyed- including Eros (psst: she’s not actually dead but Psyche doesn’t know that) and Psyche is DISTRAUGHT and entirely alone again.

Unwilling to just forget, Psyche names the planet after her fallen lover, and builds a magnificent statue in her honor after sealing the stellaron away for good.

She knows nobody could replace Eros in her life again but doesn’t want to be lonely, so she makes the first humans on her homeworld, and ritually comes in to aid them every now and again, which results in them viewing her as their creator/god.

Caring for them in the way a mother would, she sets up some temples for them to worship her in, as well as indulge in her selfish desire to fix her ever broken heart- by helping her dear humans find love instead.

However, over time as their population grows more zealous and their technology advances, her people’s requests grow more and more selfish until Psyche finally realizes she’s been fulfilling wishes that have been hurting people- her own children.

Heart completely shattered, she locked herself away in her biggest temple, forbidden anyone from entering, never to exist herself again.

Well… until a certain doctor and gambler come along.

If you’d like to read this Aventio fic go ahead, although Psyche herself only appears in the first and last chapter (she still carries regardless).

Although she succeeds in preventing the IPC (whose presence had been ever growing on her planet with her absence) from stealing her power and harming her people, Psyche’s little matchmaking session makes her realize she’s been missing the outside world quite a bit, so she attempts to try and learn what’s happened while she locked herself away, and guess who she sees hanging with the astral express in some one off news article..

Oh Psyche, good luck babe.

Because Eros thinks you abandoned her and left her to die, and now you gotta prove yourself (Greek myth style hehe) to get her back

i back this on a basic level in that - as you say - both of them would definitely need to blow off steam during the year in which peter's stuck in the riddle house having to look at voldemort's horrible baby form and barty's stuck guzzling polyjuice and having to mark dozens of essays a week.

and it's not like they can find anyone else to scratch that itch, is it? seeing as they're both supposed to be dead...

but i also back it in that one of the most interesting things to me about peter is that all of his relationships are driven by envy - he's jealous of james and sirius, and how he's subordinate to them in importance; he's jealous of snape, whom he's forced to serve because he's one of voldemort's favourites; he's jealous of voldemort's superior power and authority; he's jealous of the other death eaters, who outrank him.

and his jealousy clearly leads him towards both resentment and obsession. he loves and hates james at the same time. he loves and hates voldemort.

barty's relationships are also driven by jealousy. but, in his case, jealousy of anyone who monopolises voldemort's interest, which he is obsessed with having solely for himself. as i've said when thinking about other barty-centric death eater pairings - such as putting him with snape or bellatrix - his rage at anyone other than him getting voldemort's attention would be incredibly toxic.

he works best, then, with a partner who is inferior to him in voldemort's affections.

and peter seems, initially, like he'd fit this profile.

until his corrosive jealousy comes into play, and witnessing voldemort's preference for barty would make peter desperate both to have him and destroy him.
